'Countdown with Keith Olbermann' for Dec. 24, 2004
Updated: 3:50 p.m. ET Dec. 27, 2004
OLBYWATCH GUIDE: With no additional news from Ohio to keep the vote fraud story alive, and no reporter to feed the hard questions to the soldiers talking to Rumsfeld in Iraq, all the Olbermann could do was to look back at the most memorable moments of 2004 that should have cost Bush the presidency. This time, the stories weren't lifted from blogs and internet chain mail. Instead, the bites looked like they were borrowed from Letterman and SNL. Neither the yawning boy nor Colin Powel got a pass. Strangely, Kerry's "Can I get me a hunting license here?" stayed in Ohio.
I posted this before, but WHERE IS IT? I SHALL REPEAT MYSELF:
Olbermann is too easy a target. He has brain damage. Look at his AOL membership bio:
"In June of 1997 it was announced that Olbermann would be leaving SportsCenter. There were many reasons that combined to [sic] his resignation such as his desire to live in New York City (It was hard for him to get around in Bristol because he can't drive due to an accident that damaged his depth perception)" [http://members.aol.com/BMC583/keiolb.html]
Hence the beady eyes and wierd stare. He suffered a brain injury and is disabled. His paranoid fantasies and insane lack of common sense are a result. His show should be moved to Public Access TV and funded by a charity.
Blabberman,
The writer of that piece must know Olbermann and was merely being ironic. :D
I don't think Olbermann's lack of "depth" perception has anything to do with his eyesight...
Perhaps the most surreal moment of the pre-election run-up, at least to me (and there were many) was Kerry's duck hunting photo op here in Ohio. Olbermann clearly missed an opportunity to appear more objective by not pointing out how manipulative and lame this was. If it looked stupid to many of us liberals, who can blame the righties for finding fault with it?
"surreal"? Is that how you describe such a cold-eyed attempt to fool the American public? As a red-stater, I'm utterly shattered at what could have been the successful duping and undoing of innocent Nascar fans.
I can assure you that I'm not alone in these feelings. Many of my fellow conservatives are still trembling with dismay and rage over this tactic.
Please be patient with us, Paul. Surely even you can understand that it's going to take time and post traumatic stress counseling before we begin to heal and are able to hold down our Ovaltine. :D
We agree...I think.
I, for one, enjoyed the bird massacre. Kerry righteously grabbed his double-barrel and blasted some foul fowl from our blue pristine skies. As a youth, I was attacked and shat upon by a goose. Kerry to me is a hero.
As for everything else he did, he was a lying sack of shite and belonged in a prison made of a huge Heinz ketchup bottle with no air holes.
Back to Olbermann and post #1. Should we demand Olbermann file a form W20 (for complete release of his medical records)? After all, if he is brain damaged, his public should know. What if they took him seriously by accident? Someone might get a brain cramp or have a seizure.
