Friday's Countdown:
Karl Rove ... blah blah...
Terror alerts ... blah blah blah...
Football sex scandal ... flying cats ... Tom Cruise ... blah bl-blah blah.
Sorry gang. Olby over-exposure has caused me to go off the deep end. Unlike what happens with some poisons, your immune system does not build up an OlbyTolerance over time.
Please use the comments section to convince Cecelia to volunteer to be an OlbyWatch "flying monkey" for just one night a week. Help restore my sanity.
Okay, here goes. Cecelia, please volunteer to be an Olbywatch "flying monkey". I read some of your stuff, very, very good!!
Ok, here goes. Please Cecilia, volunteer to be an OlbyWatch "flying monkey" for just one night a week.
Well, thanks, gentlemen.
Especially thanks to you, Johnny. However, I'm quite willing to take advantage of your time and effort as long as you indulge us. I'm sorta your back-up singer.
I nominate KrazyforKeith to be a one night a week blogger. He's got the goods.
Dear Cecilia,
The job requires an even temperament, which I do not have. In addition, I can't watch his show for more that one minute without changing the channel.
You are the obvious choice. You should try a few rough drafts and send them to Johnny. He can then take a look and use them without your having to take full responsibility at first.
If you watch the show anyway, why not help out poor J.D.? It is too much to ask any one man to watch five nights of Olby.
I enjoyed this last update -- it really says all you need to say about his show.

Johnny,
I appreciate your situation and I'm very aware of how much you do for we Olbywatchers. However... I'm afraid my husband might discover that I had taken a regular gig. I don't want to give him the wrong impression that I could get a job and pay bills.
Sorry, Cecelia
Cecilia, I understand. It doesn't hurt to ask, though! Just don't leave us; the best part of the articles are your comments.
Johnny, if you were gasoline, you'd be high-test. If you were a tequila, you'd be Tres Generaciones. If you were shoes, you'd be Prada.
Bob once offered Paul an opportunity to guest blog. I'm wondering if that's still open? Paul and I could take turns guest blogging twice monthly.
How about that, Bob?
Paul (You're out there. You said you'd stick around and read my stuff.) are you game? Come on! You could go into "stick and stones" mode for only two times a month.
C,
Thanks for the kind invitation, however, at the urging of my wife, who sees it as a waste of time, I've curtailed my blogging. She wants me to get paid.
It may be a temporary thing but for the forseeable future, it looks like I'm relegated to the rank of "lurker" as I explore ways to contribute to a political action group/association or to local/state government--hopefully for at least some grocery money.
I strongly suggest we take up a collection and donate money to Paul S. each month. After all, the last thing we need is another politically active leftist.
Paul writes:
"as I explore ways to contribute to a political action group/association or to local/state government--hopefully for at least some grocery money."
THAT certainly sounds like a typical deal that might be offered by a Democrat, Paul. I think some pol in NY State gave Air America a similar arrangement.
