Last week, Keith went 4 out of 5 days mentioning Bill O'Reilly's name. He must have been slightly off his game on Wednesday because although he did a lengthy segment ridiculing the war on the "War on Christmas", he failed to mention O'Reilly.

I didn't catch today's show...I'll have to check the transcript...but I'm hoping his "O'Reilly obsessed dementia" can carry him to 5 out of 5 this week.

Perhaps this is why Keith is a little down:

Even WORSE is Olby's total share of the audience when all four cable news networks are considered:

Olby / (O'Reilly+Grace+Zahn+Olby) x 100% = 6.9%

So on Friday night, on one of the four cable news networks, Olby was busy speaking to less than 7% of the total audience.

I read something about someone purchasing a ticket to have dinner with Keith for charity. Seems the guy who bought the ticket gave it to an Iraq war vet.

Keith was probably delighted to dine with the vet and I'm certainly smiling over the poetic justice of that arrangement... :D

You are sort of right. Basically, Keith could give a flying fart about what the general audience wants to hear. Rather, he is on a kamikaze mission against Fox news and the GOP. Ya'll, Olbermann doesn't have anymore a ratings problem than Chris Matthews and he's been on for years. They've allowed Scarbrough to stay on the air with WORSE ratings. Countdown doesn't seem to be in iminient danger of being canceled. Get a clue...

Olby is in the prime slot (8pm). His ratings SHOULD BE HIGHER than Matthews and Scarborough. However, Matthews often beats Olby's ratings:

Why don't you look carefully at the situation and realize that even the pathetic lefty shill Matthews could pull better numbers than Keith in the 8pm slot. I would bet that Scarborough could too. I won't say Tucker could -- he is a lost cause.

If MSNBC cancelled shows based on ratings, the station would shut down. CSPAN probably pulls better numbers. The only thing they can crow about is the number of young gullible people who enjoy watching fictional TV news.

Based on what I've seen Countdown on average does better than Hardball. Too, now that Hardball seems to be on at least 2 hours a day (does Matthews ever spend any time with his kids...) as in from 5p-6p and then again from 7p until 8p, are you sure just what those numbers you've sent compromise?

I fear you have become a contrarian, or perhaps worse you in some way like Olby. Only then could you defend his disastrous numbers in prime time. Let's agree to disagree. After all, MSNBC is always in last place, and from what I can see even the top brass don't really care. I again assert that MSNBC is in some way a tax write off, or maybe Georgie Soros writes them a check now and then.

Well, Krazy, I don't mean to be a "contrarian". And I certainly don't hate Olbermann or anyone. I just hate that MSNBC allows him to be an irresponsible leftwing hack.

I do think Countdown generally does better than both Scarbrough and Hardball, but I don't mean to make a mountain out of a molehill. Sorry.
