You are right; people think it's tricky or complicated to do an edit, but it's just a bit of typing, or a quick cut and paste. I just made a few small amendments to the Countdown page, in the interest of accuracy. For one thing, I corrected the preposterous claim that Countdown has 3/4 of the ratings of Bill O'Reilly. (The truth: as of March 2006 Meltdown had 404,000, O'Reilly had over 2,000,000.) I also added a balancing paragraph to the Olby/O'Reilly feud section, pointing out a few times when our Olby was making false charges. I don't know why anyone would remove any of this, since it is all documented, but if they do, it's because they don't want accuracy, they just want a shrine to Krazy Keith.

I hope KfK (and others) read this and head on over there. Just because Countdown is totally one-sided and biased, the stupid Wiki page doesn't have to be too.

I was just over at the KO site. Did you know that you have to register even to go into the troll forum now! Oh yeah like I'm gona give those Loons my e-mail address. According to Bob's previous comments from other threads, appropriate forms of punishment for "trolls" include (but are not limited to) following you around the internet, collecting and analyzing personal information that may be publicly available (including information about your family members), releasing all or some of that information on the pages of his website, asserting that he has potentially private (not publicly available) information about you that may get released in the event that he feels particularly angry, and making slanderous/inaccurate (intentionally or not) about said "trolls."

He also spends an unfathomable amount of time keeping track of these "trolls" (who he claims are insignificant and meaningless); which I find completely inexplicable. But whatever, to each his own, I suppose.

A note about ratings...

I have to admit I don't really follow the ratings issue for Countdown that closely. I see the reader comments but don't personally write too many posts about it. As someone with academic and professional training in preparing and conducting data analysis I am not impressed by seeing "snapshot" data about this week or that week's ratings or quarter on quarter comparisons.

For their own reasons, the KO fans are absolutely obsessed with every blip up in the ratings; KO critics every blip down. Despite the protestations from the lefties who troll this site, we make it a point to be 100% accurate (correcting errors if/when we make any) and providing links/sources to back up any assertions in our posts.

With that in mind, I'd like to do some serious trend analysis on the ratings of Countdown and post the results - whatever they may be. I do not, however, have the slightest interest in combing the web looking for ratings data and then compiling what will likely be an incomplete set of data.

Anyone out there have access to what I really need?

1) ratings for MSNBC at 8-9 PM from 1996 to 2006
2) ratings for MSNBC from 6 PM to 12 PM from January 2003 - present
3) ratings for MSNBC, CNN, FNC, HNN at 8-9 PM from January 2003 - present

Wikipedia is a joke and one of the huge reasons Glennpedia.com was created for Glenn Beck. Wikipedia got so bad that people who actually listen to the show were banned from contributing. Now we all moved to Glennpedia and have the ability to expand the wiki beyond a single article.

Up until last night, the response to my brilliant, detailed analysis of why the Keith Olbermann entry is massively not-NPOV (not neutral point of view) has been stony silence. Suddently my old pals D-Day and Spaghetti Legs responded - but to my critique. Instead the did the old "attack the messenger" routine.

Ironically, D-Day did something productive. He writes:
