MSM Jumps on KO Express

If you think AOL put their KO Edition of The Daily Pulse together AFTER The New York Times ran Bill Carter's bit of OlbyLove this morning let me fit you for your tin foil hat right now.

Folks you are getting a glimpse of of how the liberal media operates from some of its finest practicioners. Make no mistake, this is just more liberal media efforts to boost Olbermann and take down Fox News. Ironically, coming from the say company that owns CNN. I guess they figure they can't lose either way - knock down O'Reilly and boost Olby who will eventually self-destruct anyway.

For you OlbyLoons who have to have it spoon fed to you - a poll asking readers to choose between KO and BOR is to present them as peers and to present the respondants option as binary. The effect is more of the same, MSNBC and KO trying to boost ratings by clawing their way onto O'Reilly's coattails.

Quite true Mr. Cox!

Olbermann would have done well to tone it down tonight. Any curious viewers inevitably tuned out or fell asleep as Keith rehashed the "great leak case" with no new insight.

I just wonder how many times MSLSD will initiate a media frenzy for Olbermann when his numbers continue to stink.

The key for the thing though, is O'Reilly has to take the bait and go back into attacking Keith, which he's avoided doing for a while now. That's the only way to really get a media war ginned up, by both sides continuing to provide fresh quotes.

If O'Reilly keeps his mouth shut, it's simply a one-way diatribe by a news show host with only a fifth of the ratings of his competitor, which would make it about as unequal as O'Reilly's more subtile gibes against Rush Limbaugh were when he started his Radio Factor in the 12-3 timeslot. Limbaugh never directly acknowledged the verbal shots because in his position there was no reason to elevate O'Reilly to his equal by firing back; on TV, there's no reason for Bill to give Olbermann any attention and raise his stature.
