In our Monday night summary, we noted Keith Olbermann's blast at John Gibson's comments. Inside Cable News rightly noted that we should not have elippsed out the middle part, and we agreed and added that to our post. In doing so, ICN put us on the trail of what appears to be another instance of Keith Olbermann trying to lie his way out of a deep hole.
Gibson took issue with Olbermann's claim that he did "218 consecutive shows" and nobody accused him of being a liberal. Monday night, Olbermann snidely replied:
I didn't say I did "218 consecutive shows" as in 218 consecutive shows without a day off. I said WE DID 218 consecutive shows about Clinton/Lewinski. Of course I took days off - they're called days off!
First of all, John Gibson was not talking about "days off". In another segment of the radio program, he vividly described how MSNBC would send a big black car to Olbermann's residence to pick him up for the program. But Keith would refuse to leave his bathtub. Gibson would have to stay overtime and host Keith's show. These are not the standard "days off" that Olbermann painted them to be.
But more to the point is Olby's claim that he never said "I" did 218 shows, but rather that "we" did 218 shows, and therefore Gibby was misquoting him and "playing with facts". Well, KO cited 218 shows to show his alleged lack of personal bias. Shows hosted by Gibson would be irrelevant. So he clearly was at least trying to give the impression that he hosted 218 shows.
But what did he actually say? According to the transcript:
Keith Olbermann: "I've been accused of being a liberal."
Craig Ferguson: "Right."
Olbermann: "Which is interesting because the last time I was on doing the news in the late 90s, I did 218 consecutive shows about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky."
Ferguson: "Right."
Olbermann: "And no one accused me of being a liberal then.
Oops. Did Keith Olbermann lie about what he said to Craig Ferguson? Maybe the transcript is wrong. Well, there's also the RealPlayer video and the mp3 audio.
John Gibson was absolutely, 100% correct. Keith Olbermann falsified his own words just to smear Gibson, and in doing so piled a new lie on top of an old one. And he's been caught again.
But Keith NEVER has told a lie in his ENTIRE life! He's incapable of telling a lie. He's NEVER EVER lie. I know you have video and audio and transcripts but they are all lying! You LIE! Keith doesn't. Retract YOUR lies immediately.
Note to reader: Please accompany reading with the sound of weeping and wailing and shaking of fists.
Krazy Keith has a mental condition
(He's under his desk in the fetal position)
Spews lies when he talks
About his rivals at Fox
His insanity has come to fruition
Keith Olbermann is a pissant
Each night it's the same boring rant
Smear Fox, Cruise, and Ann
Keith "Tabloid" Olbermann
His colleagues cover news but he can't
Methinks thou dost have a tempest in a teapot brewing here.
Translation from escapist language:
You caught Olbermann lying to smear John Gibson. This is my way of trying to minimize it. --hit_escape

Wow people have alot of free time on there hands. A olbermann watch site? How did I get here?
You got here because you just had to find out who in their right minds would be critical of the great Keith Olbermann.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
One of the saddest things about the U.S. "liberation" of Iraq is that it probably could have worked, had it been better planned.
I love how a blog about Olberdouche lying about his resume gets "left-turned" to Iraq. Can someone please translate this Olbyloon logic?
"I think Mr. Bush faces a singular problem best defined, I think, as the absence of effective conservative ideology -- with the result that he ended up being very extravagant in domestic spending, extremely tolerant of excesses by Congress," Buckley says. "And in respect of foreign policy, incapable of bringing together such forces as apparently were necessary to conclude the Iraq challenge."
And this relates to Olberdumbass how?
BTW Buckley's right as he is most of the time.
"One can't doubt that the American objective in Iraq has failed ... Mr. Bush has a very difficult internal problem here because to make the kind of concession that is strategically appropriate requires a mitigation of policies he has several times affirmed in high-flown pronouncements. His challenge is to persuade himself that he can submit to a historical reality without forswearing basic commitments in foreign policy. He will certainly face the current development as military leaders are expected to do: They are called upon to acknowledge a tactical setback, but to insist on the survival of strategic policies. Yes, but within their own counsels, different plans have to be made. And the kernel here is the acknowledgment of defeat."
Good catch j$. Not much for Olber geeks to say about this.
So they post cartoons and meaningless quotes to try and distract from their Idol/God/Hero being caught in another lie.
Let's all remember how Olby spent an entire segment berating Mr Bill because when Bill corrected a mistake on air he wasn't contrite enough for Keith's high standards. Tonight will be a test of those standards. How contrite will Olby be when he corrects the record and apologizes to John Gibson?
"THIS ISN'T what I signed on for!", Keith Olbermann, cringing in fetal position in bathtub, circa 1998.
Earlier that evening..."CALGON, take me away!" Keith Olbermann, cringing in fetal position in bathtub, circa 1998.
Later..."STRONG enough for a MAN, but made for a WOMAN." Keith Olbermann, cringing in fetal under news desk, circa 1998.

"Since Jan. 21 the news program I do for the MSNBC cable network has been devoted to what we have euphemistically called "the Clinton-Lewinsky investigations." Virtually every night, for an hour, sometimes two, I have presided over discussions about this stuff, so intricate, so repetitive, that it has assumed the characteristics of the medieval religious scholars arguing for months and even years over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin."

Interesting that the use of "I" is important only when attempting to make oneself look good. When the tables are turned and Olbermann isn't looking good (or competent), he changes the pronoun to "we."
No, he CLAIMS that he changed the pronoun to "we", but in fact is just lying again.
Ah, got it. Thanks, Johnny. If it wasn't for OW I'd never figure out OlbyEnglish. They didn't offer it at my school.
