David Hinckley of the New York Daily News serves up another helping of the KO "feud" with a whole piece on the current state of media feuds:
it's not that no media folks are trying. MSNBC's Keith Olbermann tosses rubber chickens nightly at Fox News' Bill O'Reilly.
Christopher Kelly of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram takes a more restrained approach but still manages to work in a little KO puffery:
Taken me a while to find time to get to writing about Monday's Fox News session, but I'm not gonna ignore it, especially after attending the Keith Olbermann session, not to mention the Katie Couric, Charles Gibson and Brian Williams. To ignore it would be unfair and imbalanced.
I'm finally starting to think that it would be better just to ignore these idiots. As I've written ad nauseum, I still cannot see how Olbermann's one-sided obsession with O'Reilly can be characterized as a feud.
I honestly don't see how the owners of these media venues can employ people who continue to characterize Olbermann's derangement as a "feud". Keith should have been locked up in a mental institution by this time. Yet O'Reilly has barely even acknowledged Keith or his tactics.
But if nothing else, we are now assured that the MSM is TOTALLY in Olbermann's camp by escalating his mental illness into a feud with O'Reilly. I don't know what these people are, but they are apparently not true journalists.
"Yet O'Reilly has barely even acknowledged Keith or his tactics"
And threatned to call fox police on anyone who does.
Maybe Keith is hoping those missing ballot boxes in Cleveland will appear and help him out.

Sorry. I accidentally hit the publish button too many times. My bad.
Think nothing of it, divi fili. A triple post from an Olbermann critic is three times better than a single post from an Olby loon.
In a way, it's almost sad what Olby's doing. He looks like the child begging for attention from his father.

HAHAHAHAHA Look everyone Pat is posting again! Nothing like a performing monkey to put people in a good mood.
Yes, but it really is true!! I wonder what would happen if Bill O. attacked another journalist ( or news analyst ) over 100 times - By name and not because of idealological differences, but simply personal attacks - Just because it's so much fun ( according to Olby ) And the target responded occasionally, just to note how childish it all was - Would the MSM refer to it as a feud? Or would they be blasting Bill as a hatemonger?
Keith is in last place. Dead last.
The man is not exactly a rocket scientist, but he is smart enough to know that if he doesn't create some visibility for himself, he will just disappear.
He certainly isn't getting the visibility he so desperately needs during the 8:00 - 9:00 pm Eastern time slot.
Anonymous 02:06 PM, as a performing monkey, you have no equal. Get a job in a sideshow.
Keith is the best MSNBC has to offer in THE prime time slot. Otherwise, they would pick somebody else. Says a lot.
Since some are so enamoured of monkey references and KO is so reverent of NBC's past accomplishments, maybe they should team him up with a NEW J. Fred Muggs, the 50's era Today Show chimp. Then when the ratings jump, they can blame the ape and fire the jackass.
Jim:
Olby being the best at MSNBC is like being called the world's tallest midget or the winner of the NL Central. Yeah, it's an accomplishment, but not something worth bragging too much about.
My point was MSNBC thinks Olby is the best they have. This does not speak very highly of NBC.
Look at Olby's ratings for Thursday from TVNewser. Surprise - they suck. Not even Stelter will spin these numbers.

On Friday's show (8/4/06), KO had a graphic across the bottom of the screen during the (now mandatory) Mel Gibson segment that said "Mel of a goy". According to dictionary.com, goy means:
goy Pronunciation Key (goi)
n. Offensive pl. goy·im (goim) or goys
Used as a disparaging term for one who is not a Jew.
Offensive? Disparaging? Who's the bigot now, Keith? When can we non-jews expect our apology?
