"Buy a limited edition Hugo Chavez Plate of Hate, and you'll never have to eat alone again! Finally: A perfect companion to watch Keith Olbermann - and Hugo won't care if you're in your underwear!"
Not sure how long Arianna is going to leave this post by Greg Gutfield up so check it out while you can. Funny. And the comments are even funnier.
Huffposters: look at the reflection in the plate!
It's not a hologram it's reality! It's you!
Buy a limited edition Hugo Chavez Plate of Hate, and you'll never have to eat alone again! Finally: A perfect companion to watch Keith Olbermann - and Hugo won't care if you're in your underwear!
And at only $400 a plate, he's worth it!
-Because he was there first, sharing your beliefs that America was the problem and Bush is the devil.
-Because he spoke truth to power - and not only in front of the bathroom mirror like you do!
-Because he reads the same books you have thought about reading!
-Because your polling data hasn't told you yet it's not good to like him!
-Because dissent is patriotic!
(Buy four plates and get a set of Noam Chomsky autographed adult diapers -- biodegradable Hege-Huggies- free! Get a butter plate If you're the 666th commenter - because Bush really is 'el diablo'!)
UPDATE: Here are a few of my favorite comments from HuffPo on this Hate Plate post
At least Chavez has the courage of his convictions, as opposed to you spineless Democrats.

Get a life Gutfield, we're on to you.
- danothemoderateguy
all you can ever hope to be is a third rate wannabe with a drinking problem.

I would rather have my eyeballs poked out with a hot poker than read one line of your boneheaded pap. How can I order the Gutfeld Memorial Toilet Seat?
- JeffDeVore
your post is humorless, pointless, and contains lies.
- grizmaster
fuck Pelosi, fuck Rangel, fuck the Democrats... I'M WITH CHAVEZ. (And I'll take a dozen of your commemorative plates, asswipe.)
- BChamplain
I like watching Olbermann, so I automatically agree with Chavez

hating others means you hate yuor self. There's no other way around it.

Chavez has never masterminded any kind of terrorist attack against the United States or any other country, is the duly elected leader of a sovereign nation, and is guilty of nothing more than being a drama queen who uses name calling in the place of rational argument.
- kensp
what is so outrageous about saying that George W. Bush-a man who approves of torture, a man who abandoned victims of a hurricane and flood, a man who deliberately starts wars, a man who puts people in jail without trials, a man who will stop at nothing to increase his own power - is the devil.
I think Hugo Chavez is right on.
- willie
Chavez isn't crazy. I call Bush and Co. evil and lunatics around plenty of friends and family and none bat an eye. I'm certainly not called crazy....there are many other world leaders out there that might think of the members of the neocon cabal here in the US as evil lunatics, and there are some that have actually been known to have said so in private, but all are either too discrete or tight assed to say so.
- richsmith
We Americans are not infallible nor is our democracy. It must be fought for, carefully guarded and defended at all times, and the best way to do so is through political descent.

If the democrats...had half the courage of Chavez, we'd be living in better times

America is the problem and has been for some 200 plus years with the genocide of the native Americans.
- jmc42
The problem with this country is that the MSM are NOT saying Bush is the Devil
- mrjoyboy
I did enjoy Hugo thumbing his nose at Bush and appreciate your great plate offer. Oh, and Norm's book is great
- olephart
I just don't see that much of a difference between saying a country is a member of an "axis of evil", and saying a leader of a country is the devil. I mean "the devil" = "evil" right? So what's the big deal? If President Bush can do it, he should expect to get it back, too.
- StanAccrington
Look around, man. The guy who's offering cheap fuel oil to Americans, cheaper than their shadow goverment, Big Oil, is not your biggest problem.
- jungpatawan
How about a Chavez litter box?
Someone should market those and sell them to the Daily Kos and Dem.Underground crowd...they would make a mint.
hello scumbags! and how are the fear-based extremists today? i suppose ya'll are still into theocracies, like the Taliban. and how 'bout the torture thang -- i'll be ya'll are still advocating torture, just like al-qaeda. it's funny you and the terrorists both agree that the end justifies the means. don't feel too bad though, in every era there are repressive-minded folks like yourselves who represent the scum of the earth, so at least you'll never be alone. have fun being fascist with the little time you have left, losers!
did you read the comments on HuffPo. Some folks are NOT amused.
"hello scumbags! and how are the fear-based extremists today?"
Geez, I think you need to have your own plate.
Thanks for asking; I'm fine.
And good day to you too, sir.

Quess it hits a little close to the truth then their comfortable with...Thats why some Dems. were telling Hugo to knock it off,he was sounding to much like them...Just like when John Kerry and Osama bin Laden were using the same talking points during the election.
Are you living in fear, Anonymous? If it weren't for the "fear-based extremists" protecting you, you would not have a forum for your trash talk. Your fear is lack of power. I'm sure you feel so repressed when you live in a country where you can say, do, and mockingly kill anything or anyone you desire. Try talking like that in Venezuela or as a subject of the Taliban. We see, feel, and taste your hatred. You know only hate. We know only God and our God does not tell us to cut off heads and fingers like you so eloquently said in your comparison of us and the Taliban. You and Chavez think alike. "Anyone who opposes me is the devil." Think about that the next time you attend a "tolerance and diversity" meeting that your kind are always touting. You probably hate being born with a right leg, hand, eye, and ear because anything "right" to you is evil. I'll gladly give you a plane ticket to Iran. Let's see if the real evildoers will help you out by removing those parts during a real torture episode. I'll be seeing you around. Maybe not around, but at least your one "not so evil" side.

It is just the PCP talking.
absolutely, when you advocate extreme fascist polices like false propaganda, repressed dissent, warrantless spying, rendition, and torture ... it always helps to point to other, more extreme examples of fascist regimes, and advise people to go there and dissent and see how they like it.
I have trouble deciding just who this anon guy is. He is not Kofi-"Anon" he may actually be Chavez just enjoying our American Internet. Must be hard to plug a computer into a cow's ass in the third world and get a good connection. Tho it could be Ted Turner and?or Rosie O'dipshitdonely-do or maybe Cindy "hunger strike- Sheehan- she is the ORIGINAL Moonbat ya know.
Of course he/she/it could just be a poor lonely refugee from one of the extremen PCP usage websites just baiting conservatives and other normal people. And then again it could be ol Kiethy Olbermann-boy just practicing his moral outrage for tonights fun and comedy hour tonight featuring the Blue dress special- be sure to bring your hankie.
Oh and ANON we are dissenting- FROM NITWITS & PSEUDO-COMMIES LIKE YOU LEFTARD! have a nice day! just have it somewhere else.
"repressed dissent"
I particularly enjoy this claim.
Obviously this guy hasn't been on the internet for too long. There is greater freedom in America to dissent against the government than in any other country in the world. Try to criticize the government in "progressive" regimes and see what happens to you.
Really, only a lefty can talk for hours and hours about how his voice has been stifled.
SMG
yo, morons ... when someone says the Bush administration promotes the fascist policy of repressing dissent, they do not mean that all dissent in this country is repressed, or that this country represses more than another. rather, when someone says the Bush admin promotes repression -- and i understand that this is difficult for you to grasp, being idiots and all -- what they mean is: "the Bush admin promotes repression". get it? so, it does no one any good, especially your tiny little torture adled-brains, to immediately jump to a larger assertion, and then refute that one. better to try and refute the original assertion itself. see? you stupid half wits.
um ... do you mean to say that you responded to this:
"absolutely, when you advocate extreme fascist polices like false propaganda, repressed dissent, warrantless spying, rendition, and torture ... it always helps to point to other, more extreme examples of fascist regimes, and advise people to go there and dissent and see how they like it."
with this:
"Try to criticize the government in "progressive" regimes and see what happens to you."
talk about brain dead.
"yo morons"?? What is this the wigger comedy hour? DUDE- ya need to stop the recreational drugs seriously! Sounds like you got a bad dose of PCP or something.
You have obviously mastered the art of cut and paste so tomorrow we will work on getting you some common sense. I know how inspired you must be by Hugo "el rospo" Chavez's stirring and brilliant essay this week at the UN and I know that Bill Klinton is doing a PR tour despite his stained reputation but you sound like you just got out the Jesse Jackson bootcamp fer cripesakes.
Yo yourself dumbass! Youse is a hip-hop progressive.
"the Bush admin promotes repression".
So you've gone from Bush "repressing dissent" to "promoting repression". Moving the goal posts are we?
Repression of what? Dissent? Or what?
What do you want to do in this country that has been "repressed"?
You're "repressed" from doing what exactly under this Administration?
And try not to "row back" and change the topic.
SMG
"yo, morons ... when someone says the Bush administration promotes the fascist policy of repressing dissent, they do not mean that all dissent in this country is repressed, or that this country represses more than another."
Oh yeah how'd they do that? By refusing the former and current Iranian president entry into the US? By refusing Hugo Chavez's entry? By not allowing Cindy Sheehan a place to protest in Crawford?
My God you are stupid. Does it hurt being that dumb? It can't be easy.
Crash:
"Oh yeah how'd they do that?"
My guess is that he'll cite some incident where the Secret Service arrested or removed someone who was yelling at a Presidential event.
Or someone who tried to disrupt an event was removed. Like the person who wanted to protest at the State of the Union Address and was asked to leave by the security.
Of course, these measures have been used for decades.
SMG
Once again the irony of a KO defender talking about "repressing dissent" when their hero will not allow any dissent of his views on his show.
"KO defender talking about "repressing dissent""
Well, he changed the charge from "repressing dissent" to "promoting repression".
Next it will be "repressing promotion".
Makes about as much sense.
SMG
Anonymous is quite correct in his post above...
You Right-Wing extremists want to promote false propaganda against Al-Qaeda, engage in warrantless spying against Al-Qaeda, rendition of Al-Qaeda, and torture of Al-Qaeda...and WE ALL ON THE LEFT will not stand for it anymore.
** Democrats in '06...standing up for the rights of Al-Qaeda **
The only people who I see promoting repression are the "diversity and tolerance" clans in all universities. Tolerate the agreemongers and hate the naysayers just like KO. Was it two nights ago I saw KO saying that the torture debate was far from being resolved in Congress? Was he also feeling sympathy for KSM being waterboarded by stating the fact that the Red Cross is going to ask him if he was being tortured? Sound like KO feels for the guy. Could you imagine how white-faced he would become if KSM held a knife to his throat? Can we say instant untan? Is he capable of showing sympathy for the 911 families without bringing his conspiracy theories into it? "Up next, we have found the recorders that Karl Rove used to send phone calls to family members of Flight 93. Dan Rather will be here with his opinion."
There you go again...you have no sympathy and no respect for the rights of Al-Qaeda members like KSM and that is shameful.
Let me give you a quote from Olbermann that asked of Jonathan Turley on tonights broadcast, "And if we saw another country behaving this way and establishing the rights for a head of State to seize a foreigner (Al-Qaeda) and interrogate them and imprison them forever, no trial, no hearing, no hope...we would call them a rogue State??"
Bravo, Keith!!
Will any of you Right-wing extremists join us ALL ON THE LEFT and finally stand up for the rights of Al-Qaeda??
Funny. I have not hear the words "rights of Al-Qaeda" from any lefty in Congress. There is a simple reason for that. It would be political suicide. Why do we not see a CBS/CNN/Zogby/Looney poll asking the American people the question, "Do you think terrorists should be afforded Geneva rights?". Simple answer again: They are very afraid of the results. They are also so afraid of the results of a question about harsh coercive interrogation. "ALL ON THE LEFT" is a mirage. Let's see Hillary Clinton say Al-Qaeda has rights she needs to stand up for. You could hear crickets in the lefty corner during the debates in Congress this week. Afraid to show the people who they really want to protect.
"Quess it hits a little close to the truth then their comfortable with...Thats why some Dems. were telling Hugo to knock it off,he was sounding to much like them...Just like when John Kerry and Osama bin Laden were using the same talking points during the election."
Anyone else see the episode of The Colbert Report where John Gibson accused Democrats of using the same talking points as the President of Iran? And how Colbert destroyed his argument? I was reminded of that when reading this comment. Too funny.
Oh, and I just noticed. ISpeakForTheLeft is one huge ball of straw men, fascinating to watch, but very itchy if you get too close.
I was reminded of that when reading this comment. Too funny.
********************************************
It might be funny to you but the Dems were sure bothered enough by Hugo to go running to the press to denounce and distance themselves from him.
And using The Colbert Report as a rebuttle isn't the strongest defence either..because its a very liberal parody of news programs not real so its not balance and its subjects are taken out of context...kind of like Countdown.
>And using The Colbert Report as a rebuttle isn't the strongest defence either
Wasn't a "defence," I was commenting. And just because you're a comedian doesn't mean you can't give any insight towards politics. Let me paraphrase:
>Gibson: The President of Iran says, "The United States of America isn't good at diplomacy under George Bush," DEMOCRATIC TALKING POINT!
>Colbert: Yeah, Gibson's right, let me find some more Democratic talking points in his letter. Let's see, "Jesus Christ (PBUH) taught peace," DEMOCRATIC TALKING POINT! etc.
Your post was similar, I was commenting on that.
