Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

MSNBC Teams with Democratic Underground to Promote KO's 9/11 Rant

Once again MSNBC is teaming up with the radical left in a pathetic attempt to boost Olbermann's anemic ratings. This time its the tin-foil hat crowd over at the Democratic Underground taking the "unprecedented action" of calling on its members to spread the word about Olbermann fact-challenged "special comment" via a "special private message". Now, isn't that special?

We put on our decoder ring and decyphered the mystical text for you clear-thinking readers:

    ===========================

    From: Skinner (ed. DU founder)
    Date: Sep-12-06 04:11 PM

    Hello,

We apologize for this interruption, but the DU Admins were so blown away by Keith Olbermann’s watershed commentary last night (Sept. 11, 2006) that we’ve decided to take unprecendented action and send this special private message to each of our members to let you know about it.

This morning, The Nation called Keith Olbermann “without a doubt the best news anchor on television today. We agree. Video of his commentary is available at the link below. Please email it to your friends, family, co-workers, elected representatives, and anyone else who you think needs
to see it. Keith’s commentary deserves a wide audience.

First of all they refer to olby's show as a "news" show. How can it be called a news show when it is nothing more than an anti Bush tirade followed by recycled two day old internet clips? How can they call it a "news" show when the host only has "guests" who agree with him? I know that the looney left will not and cannot tolerate dissent from the lockstep of liberal ideology.
But maybe some good will come of this. I remember the conservatives actually thanking Michael Moore and the looney Hollywierd nutjobs for getting their message out. When the American public saw just how nuts and anti-American they were conservatives won handily.
Let DU and the other far left Anti-American groups advertise olbernuttjob. Do they really think that anybody witha tv set and/or computer has not alread found out about the olberlunatic? Do they think that they are going to boost his last place position? Glenn Beck has been on for just a few months and his ratings are almost as high as the nutjob's after what? Three years?
Olbermann's lack of inclusion into MSNBC's lineup of election coverage combined with the fact that he never has any dissenting or real guests on just shows how innefectual and insignificant he really is. Let the commies have their hero even if he is a zero.

But at least Olbermann's not inserting politics into 9/11.

Well its really working well isn't it?..he's still forth in ratings and so far his book isn't making any sale records.

You really have to wonder what will KO do next...hey they got that movie coming out showing Bush getting killed maybe KO can get behide that,I'm sure the DU and Kos crowd would really get off if KO called for the death of Bush...hey he's already called for impeachment, death to Bush is the only thing he's got left in his Bush bashing bag.

There was heavy sarcasm in my previous post.

There was heavy sarcasm in my previous post.

We know..but a lot of KO lovers truly believe that.

Send him an email. He's ready to pop.

Mlong.. I would be at that movie..,. when that happens I will just smile.

Democratic Underground has promoted Olby in some form or another in the past and every time, the effort has failed miserably. And that probably was more Olby's fault than DU's. I expect the same results this time.

Isn't that the definition of insanity - repeating the same behavior in hopes of getting a different result? DU must be insane to place any faith in this guy.

I am in total agreement with everything KO said. Is there still a hole in the ground after 5 years? Is there a memorial on ground zero? Does New York show a new, bold skyline to tell the terrorists they can go f..ck themselves?

What, other than photo ops and a million references to 9/11 as the core-event of a fear-monger campagne has Bush done in those 5 years?

After 9/11 the whole world and both parties stood behind Bush. The country was united and mourned together. Not only was Bush unable to use this political capital for anything good, but rather by attacking the unrelated country Iraq in an american solo-gig he laid the basis for a new wave of hatred and anti-americanism around the world.

"Thou shalt recognize them by their fruits", says a wise book. Look at the fruits of this administration. Spending is through the roof, debts a piling higher than ever, hatred against America wherever you look, environmental laws weakened or abolished, former allied countries estranged and distanced, this America has been mismanaged in every way possible. The legacy of this administration is as horrendous as the open, gaping wound of the hole that is ground zero 5 years after the catastrophe.

Civil liberties a thing of the past, now America is willing to torture it's captives, habeas corpus abolished, people can now be thrown into secret prisons and left there to rott without a lawyer or a trial. Extraordinary rendition is the word for outsourcing torture. The American middleclass is in a deadly sqeeze, new bankruptcy laws exclude even medical reasons or veterans from ever escaping from the debt-bondage, but we see massive, huge, super-gigantic record profits in oil companies.

    Well done Mr. Bush.

KO is right with every word he spoke on what you folks call his "9/11 rant". This man is a true patriot who loves this great nation dearly. The idea that this America was built on, a rule for and by the people is what Keith Olbermann carries in his heart.

Keith Olbermann carries the spirit of the American constitution in his heart. For Bush the constitution is just a piece of paper, a nuisance and something that tries to curb his absolute power.

I salute Keith Olbermann and hope that millions of true Americans carry his spirit in their hearts. Because if they do, then there is still hope that this evil and vile administration will not be able to destroy everything that this great nation once stood for.

Oh there's still a hole in the ground. However, it's not George Bush's fault that the hole in the ground is still there.

    Sich heil, Olby!

Bob, what are the chances that Olby's horrendous last-place 9/11 ratings helped prompt DU to issue this email blast? No one bothered to watch in the first place despite massive blue-blog pimping. Why bother with this wasted effort now?

    Anon 6:57 PM,

"Why bother with this wasted effort now?"

The DUmmies are convinced that the only reason they lose elections is because the GOP has the "evil genius" Karl Rove orchestrating a "big lie" that brainwashes Americans into sheepishly voting for Republicans. The solution they have come up with is to LIE MORE which they call "telling truth to power".

Keith has adopted their mentality because he believes it or because he sees it as a path to a bigger audience or both. Together they hope to counter the lying with their own lies long enough to get their people in power so they can start "telling the truth". If that "plan" seems implausible that's because it is which is they are so angry - no matter what they do they can't gain traction, even when they adopt their caricature of Republican "marketing" (their term). Their frustration turns into rage leading to what is known as Bush Derangement Syndrome.

It never occurs to them that the American people do not like what they stand for and do not want to have them in power.

Mlong.. I would be at that movie..,. when that happens I will just smile.
    **********************************************
I'm sure you KO,The Dems and most of the "peace loving" left will...and that says a lot about you and what kind of people you really are doesn't it?

Why are all you mouth-breathers so obsessed with KO ? Struck a nerve ?

    >Oh there's still a hole in the ground. However, it's not George Bush's fault that the hole in the ground is still there.

Not Bushes fault? Wasn't high enough in the priority list of things to do? Believe me, if Bush wanted, REALLY wanted, then there would the VERY LEAST be a museum or memorial or SOMETHING there.

But 9/11 is good as a talking point and a photo op, but actually caring about what happened there and giving the still grieving families a place to go to is obviously not important enough for Bush.

And by the way, I am neither a democrat nor have I anything to do with DU. I am just a normal person who has a heart for the people who died on 9/11 and who cares for the families who STILL, after 5 years have no place where they can bring their kids and show them what their daddies died for.

If that makes me a member of DU or the democrats then I'll glady be one of those.

    >Sich heil, Olby!
You obviously have no clue what Olbermann was talking about. It's Bush who rides this country merrily into fascism. So at least get your sentence right. It's "Sieg heil Bush!"

Go read your constitution and maybe in a quiet minute think of the families who lost a loved one on that dreadful day.

KO's book is still out of the Amazon top 100..poor guy all that kissing up to the Kos kids and the DU just isn't working.

And once again about the hole in the groung at the WTC..Bush has no control of that its up to the leaders of the city of New York and the owners of the land.by the way it took over 60yrs before they built a memorial for WWII vets so get over it.

    Robert,
If the Democrats take back the house in November does that mean Americans like what the Democrats stand for/dislike what Republicans stand for? Did Americans like what Democrats stood for during the decades of Democratic dominance? Republicans were out in the cold for decades. They finally take control, which they are about to lose, for twelve years and you proclaim victory forever. You're as pathetic as the Red Sox fans who think 2004 overcame Yankee dominance for all time.

    Reinhard,
The Constitution says whatever God tells Bush it says. Ask any conservative. They'll swear God is mentioned throughout the document and it clearly stipulates we are a Christian nation.

    Cobert,

FIrst, I hate the Red Sox and am a die hard Yankee fan. I have tix for tonight's game although it is raining here. If you are a Yankee fan too then perhaps there is hope for you.

If the Democrats take control of the house it would mean that Americans like what Democrats stand for and dislike what Republicans stand for. That is the nature of elections. It would also suggest that a good Democratic candidate would be in a good position to win in '08 which be yet another sign that the American people support Democrats.

Americans did like what Democrats stood for; I know I did. I was raised in a family of Democrats. When I turned 18, I registered as a Democrat. I voted for Mondale, Dukakis and Clinton.

I formally left the Democratic Party in 1994. I am now a registered independent and think that parties, in general, suck.

If the GOP does lose control of the house they will have only themselves to blame for failing to be responsive to the will of the people.

    Robert,
We have a couple of things in common. We're both Yankee fans and both dislike both parties. Both parties are beholden to special interests. The problem is we only have two viable parties. Democrats happen to be less owned and by less troubling special interests in my view. I hate paying taxes and want to be left alone like most Americans. I agree with the indivualistic attitude and hard work ethic. However, a large percentage of our homeless are veterans of foreign wars. It's hard to believe people who put their lives on the line for this country are too lazy to get a job. Many homeless also have mental problems. There must be a cause for homelessness beyond laziness. Isn't it an embarrassment that the wealthiest country in the world doesn't take better care of the homeless and the impoverished? Many impoverished people work. There's a higher percentage of impoverished people in the red states than blue states. That isn't an attack on red staters. I'm curious why red staters would put up with the conservative policies and rhetoric toward the working poor. I fail to see the problem with giving people financial aid and scholarships so they can attend college. One of the big reasons students drop out of college is financial troubles. Isn't it better to educate those students so they become productive citizens? Don't you think they'd more than pay for their aid/scholarships in the long-run? Most liberals don't think people should be paid welfare for doing nothing if they're capable of working. We think people should be helped by government if need be so they can become productive citizens which benefits us all. Conservatives have no problems with corporate welfare and billion-dollar bailouts for corporations. But helping out poor people is terrible. I think most Americans understand that and support the Democrats because they come closest to representing that view.

    Colbert wrote:

    Source?

Perhaps you are too young to recall but the reason that many mentally ill people are living on the streets is because LIBERAL attorneys fought for their "right" not to be confined while be treated for their mental illness and their "right" to live on the streets. This courtesy of Geraldo Rivera - at least in New York.

I think are confusing "conservatives" with "Republicans". You will not find any conservatives who support "corporate welfare".

I can't address the rest because once again your addled mind as dumped dozens of conflicting ideas into one comment AS IF you were making an argument for something.

Why don't you SLOW DOWN and try making one point at a time?

I suppose Olbermann is banking on the U.S. being out of Iraq before '08 (although Bush has said that there will be troops there as long as he is in office) or that Kerry and Clinton will feel enough heat from their base to modify their positions for not swiftly pulling troops out.

As it stands now it's going to be interesting to see if he tones down his own stand so as not to present himself as being too contradictory to a Dem presidential candidate in '08.

But perhaps he just doesn't expect to still be on the air.
