In a devestating piece, Howard Mortman, blogger and former staffer at Empower America, notes David Kuo's mendacious history and provides numerous examples of false statement by Kuo aired by Keith Olbermann last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Regular Olbermann Watch readers will hardly be surprised to learn from Mortman that MSNBC's top political journalist incorrectly named Bush's top speechwriter. The departure of Michael Gershon was announced last June. Apparently, Keith never got the memo.
Not surprisingly, the OlbyLoons have turned out in force to pour water on Mortman's expose in the comment thread. I, for one, intend to push back and add my voice to Howard's comment section. Feel free to join me.
Olberverse Reax:
Cable Gamer: C'mon Keith, we know you hate Bush -- but out of respect for your viewers, get your facts right--oh, wait. Never mind.
ICN: Extreme Mortman does an "Olbermann Watch" and tries to clear up a few things about Keith Olbermann’s report on David Kuo’s new book…
Devastating. You can remember the spelling because it's meaning is derived from the same word as vast.
Or was that just another of your crappy puns?

whatever
David Kuo will be interviewed on 60 Minutes tonight.
I, like Keith and EVERYONE ELSE ON THE LEFT, am outraged by these shocking revelations.
We Liberals had a monopoly on making condescending remarks about the Religious Right...and now we hear that some in the Bush Administration do the same.
OUTRAGEOUS!!
** Democrats in '06...devoid of logic since 1825 **
Regular people can see through the desperation of the liberals. This shit will backfire.
The Dems have forever been promising the world to poor blacks and never delivering.
Hey holy rollers.. they hate you...
Nice to see the Olbyloons will defend yet another example of shoddy journalism on CD. This is up there with the gems put forth by David Shuster and Olby editing that lady's commenst about Allen to change the meaning.
Sorry for the bad spell. Try again:

Anonymous, I thought that was true but the blind loyalty of minorities inspite of being used by liberals will never change. Nagin was`re-elected inspite of the fact he and Blanco were 100 percent responsible for what happened in NO.
Wow! Mortman pointed out two...well, not lies...not mistruths...what were they?
Oh yeah, "misleadings". You neocon girls got nothing and show that pretty much continuously...

Right. And the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA (Federal agencies, IIRC) had NOTHING to do with it...
Wow, clueless much?
Fox News can't even remember which party people are in and you call this news?
Goerge Bush does not care about Hawiians
Let me get this straight. Olbermann is wrong because he quoted a book and someone disagrees with the author? So, Keith knew Kuo was wrong and you know Kuo was wrong because someone disagrees with him? Maybe Mortman is wrong. Isn't it possible someone who refuses to speak against the Bush administration could be wrong?
