Whoops. I was watching the Yankees post game show and forgot to check in on Letterman (Yankees beat the Tigers 8-4; Jeter went 5 for 5!!!). I managed to catch the tail end where Keith told the story about O'Reilly saying that a caller who mentioned Olbermann would be getting a visit from Fox security. At least he was dressed better than on the Ferguson show. I suppose some OlbyLoon will stick KO's appearance up on YouTube so I can write it up based on that. In the meantime, anyone who watched care to fill in the rest?
Andy Dick and Keith on the same show? There's not enough Ritalin in every pharmacy in New York to handle this taping.
Will even 1% of Letterman's audience have ever heard of Odormann? Evidently, Letterman is so hard up for guests that he had to invite Odormann to appear on Letterman's show after Danny Bonaduce turned down an invitation to appear.
I wonder if Dave will kiss KO's ass and prop him up, or treat him like he did Bill O.
It will be interesting to compare the way Letterman treats Krazy Keith compared to the way he treated O'Reilly.
I do not know about that... Bill O' Reilly was in the midst of his inessence 'Liberals hate Christmastime tour... that squabble the two of them had was inevitable...
Dave really does'nt try to hide his hatred of republicans anymore so it's a pretty good bet that he will be kissing olberman's ass long and hard. I think we should all send dave some chapstick 'cause he's gonna need it.
David Letterman has "hatred of republicans"?
Uh, yes!!
Yeah right... where was that hatred for republicans when David Letterman was interviewing Ann Coulter ?
Letterman is a big ole' Dem.
Letterman usually just laughs at people he hates.
Here... this should be good for a laugh:

... Have UFO Reports Been Suppressed By Conservative Christians In The Military and Government?- A veil of silence and secrecy followed the UFO sightings in Roswell ...
Most thinking people hate republicans.
Most hateful people think Democrat!!
Most liberals HATE those who don't agree with them...
then claim Republicans/Christians/Jews/"Neocons" hate everybody.
Hating conservatives is like hating and poking fun of mentally retarded people. It may be fun for some, but you know it is wrong to do it. We feel sorry for their lack of ability to think for themselves, but hey that is freewill.
MOST THINKING PEOPLE HATE O'LIELY AND COLBERT THE TWO WHINY FAGGOTS.
MOST THINKING PEOPLE HATE O'LIELY AND COLBERT THE TWO WHINY FAGGOTS.
It needs to be said twice.
Rivermutt Wannabe,, Last night you said you were gone.. go hang out at Newsbusters, they are unable to defend their beliefs so they boot dissenting opinion real quick,,, why is it that you jesus freak reichwingers are so unable to defend your beliefs ?
As a Christian (and part of the reported base of the republican party), I still love O'lielly....
I even voted (TWICE!) for O'lielly to be, "BIGGEST OLBYLOON."
I already told Colbert I loved him or her yesterday.
And I just want to say right here, right now.....I love you all....Olbyloons or not!
Cee... I am honored. I will do my best to live up to the hopes that you have attached to myself, however it is not the easist thing to be silly on purpose.
From AP.....
"Former Rep. Mark Foley's attorney said Tuesday that his client was molested between the ages 13 and 15 by a clergyman.
Foley had represented the West Palm Beach district for 12 years and was seeking re-election until his sudden resignation last week after the disclosure of lurid online communications with teenage congressional pages.
'This is part of his recovery,' Roth said, declining to identify the clergyman or the church.
Roth also announced for the first time that Foley is gay.
He insisted Foley never had sexual contact with a minor."
The plot thickens, now the abuser says he was abused....Seems like it is following the textbook. What say you liberals? Is he still an EVIL hypocritical Republican?
"But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, 'If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.'"
JOHN 8:7
Sorry cee, i have to say i am really tired of the "my bad childhood made me do it" routine. The only person responsible for foley's behavior is foley, and no, i am NOT a democrat, thank god!
WHINE FAG BOY WHINE O'LIE GETS UPSET WHEN HIS AIDS ACTS UP. TELL ME O'LIE -COLBERT WHY DO YOU SEXUAL DEGENERATE FAGGOTS HATE CHRISTIANS SO MUCH? BECAUSE GOD GAVE THE FAGS AID AND NOW YOU CAN'T BUTT SLAM ANYBODY YOU WANT.
WHY DON'T YOU GO TO SOME FAGGOTRY SITE THAT LIKES YOUR KING FAG BOY?
EVER BEEN TO WYOMING O'LIELY-COLBERT? IT'S A NICE PLACE FOR LITTLE SODOMITES LIKE YOU TO JUST HANG OUT- ON FENCES.

There is no one without sin. Christians should know that.I can see that you know that cee. Then why do I have to duck from the stones with words like Godless, Fag-lover, liberal dimwit, baby killers etc... written on them. It is the same on the other side. Back and forth. Dragged down by the stone.
Someone here must have a really sad little life. I feel sorry for you. You feel so powerless don't you. You have to type real big and feel like everyone is just so much in fear of you. Try masturbating instead. It will relieve some of the homo secret desires you have.
then this old old woman came out of the crowd and threw a big stone killing the offender and Jesus walked up and said "ya know mom sometimes you REALLY piss me off"
Age old question, codas.....and verbal hyperbole is such an easy trap to fall into isn't it?
I've been guilty of it lately....
scot.....Foley should be held responsible, no excuses from me - prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. It's just I could not pass up pointing out the compassion aspect of this sad story (sad for the victims especially) and hope it would take some of the heat out of the conversation.
"The plot thickens, now the abuser says he was abused....Seems like it is following the textbook. What say you liberals? Is he still an EVIL hypocritical Republican?"
I never argue that today's batch of Republicans are evil. Some are, but not most. They are generally the victims of some kind of fraud or abuse. Unfortunately, instead of seeking help, they deny their problem and go into the closet, which ends up causing some kind of eruption eventually...trying to govern the world, rewrite the constitution, supporting torture, writing molestation laws while molesting pages and such.
Hopefully the cycle of abuse can be mitigated somewhat this November. You with me cee?!
As an aside, do remember this guy first went after the alcoholism thing, even though no one seems to buy that because no one ever saw him drink. He may be a scientologist too, so take that for what it's worth.
A few things are certain:
1. He's a Republican
2. He's messed up
3. The Republican leadership put him in charge of protecting youth from sexual predation.
4. The Republican leadership kind of knew he was messed up but didn't care enough to check up on him or risk publicity that might cost them a seat.
That does it for me.
Actually, I'll moderate my tone a bit, since cee is initiating this golden age of peace and reason. The Republicans should be commended at least for warning the pages that Foley kind of needed to be watched. I doubt they were in real jeopardy because of this, but it is sad that they still left him there. It has to kind of give youngsters a bad impression of the institution, especially since this was the guy writing legislation on sexual predation.
Oh Erie Bob, you always out do O'lielly....
Psychological analysis by amateurs is a dangerous thing.....speaking of which....I was driving to the hospital today and I went over to AIR(head) AMERICA for a second.....Rhodes was on.....
Wow, she said the same exact thing you said.....in addition she expanded it....Bush and the other neocons have latent homosexual urges that have erupted into (amongst other things)
torturing people,
having Jeff Gannon in the press corps
and oh yes, the killing 100,000 Iragis.....
Come on guys, how unhinged are you going to get!
It was kind of a joke, cee, but I don't really doubt that being a closeted gay Republican would drive you nuts. That's Foley's case. I have no idea what Bush's problem is and don't pretend to.
SO TELL US COLBERT-OREILLY NOW POSTING AS "ANANONYMOUS" IN YOUR FAGGOT REALTIONSHIP WHICH ONE ARE YOU THE BOY OR THE GIRL??
TELL US ALL WHY THE FAGS ARE SO INTERESTED IN BECOMING BOY SCOUT LEADERS?
MORE RECRUITING FOR THE GAY AGENDA?NO MATTER WHAT ANYBODY SAYS FAGGOTRY IS STILL WRONG AND IS STILL A MENTAL DISORDER.
I just tuned into O'Reilly- he's got Bob Woodward ("State of Denial")...
Then I switch over to Meltdown- he's not there, there's some blonde woman hawking an upcoming piece on Merkats... MERKATS!?!?

I've warned you once about SHOUTING so consider this a FINAL WARNING, OK? I don't want people putting up the gross photos, I don't want spam, I don't want people posting really long gibberish posts. I don't want people purposely multi-posting their comments. I don't want the goth nutcases "daring" readers to hack their sites and I don't want the shouting either.
This is not a content issue. You are free to post whatever nutty comments you like but not in such a way as to cause a distraction for everyone else. You will not hear from me again on this issue - you will simply and quitely find your IP blocked (and any other IP you attempt to use).
Clear?
The IP address for Riverdog (and his various aliases) has been banned from this site. If he turns up via another IP address that will be banned too.
and his various aliases...lol...
did he argue with himself?
I was watching the game too and forgot all about it. I can't believe how far the tigers have fallen over the past few weeks.
I only caught the tail end of Olbermann's appearance on Letterman tonight. I taped it (sarcasm -- yippee -- sarcasm) so I can watch it later.
From what I saw, he didn't make a big splash with the audience. Polite laughter during his Cornell radio station story, etc.
It seemed that the biggest response during the part I saw was when he mentioned Bill O'Reilly. Olbermann once again appointed himself keeper of O'Reilly and made some lame comment about how O'Reilly makes *mistakes* and he - Olbermann - points them out.
Letterman seemed to stumble around at the end when reminding viewers of the "Worst Person in the World" book. Olbermann ended up saying the name of it for him.
As an aside, I think that OlbermannWatch has again influenced something Olbermann said. Referring to his photo on the cover of WPITW, he said it had something for everyone: those who dislike him think he is the WPITW. As many people here have commented, the photo's placement on the cover infers that Olbermann himself is the WPITW.
Also, he admitted that the book was nothing but rehashed show bits, as has been pointed out here.
I quess he didn't say anything about how O'Reilly beats him in the ratings everynight and how his book is out selling KO's.
Once again it shows how much of a coward KO is..he'll only go on shows where the host will kiss his butt..while O'Reilly gose on shows where the host hate him..like Letterman and The View, where I'm sure Rosie going to try to give him a hard time.

O'reilly goes on shows like that because he thrives on attention and he just does it as a comercial for himself. A saner person would avoid people that don't like them but he feeds off it.

He gose on those show because he's not afraid to defend his views..unlike KO who hides from any chance he might hear someone tell him he's wrong about something.
Known Chris Berman since high school when he was thin and tall with long hair.
Story about his high school radio station.
Interviewed Clinton after Chris Wallace.
Fox security.
Pimped the book.
That's pretty much it.
I didn't hear the Berman part all the way through. So he made a crack about when Berman was "thin"? Olby's olbsessed with weight, eh?
The Alternative from the Democrat od Columbia(D.C.):
WASHINGTON -- Many D.C. police said they had hoped that installing dozens of new surveillance cameras across the city would assist them in cracking down on crime, but the system does not appear to be working as planned.
It was a very violent weekend across the D.C. area, with 11 people shot, four of them fatally.
"Children getting shot. Every night it's something around here. But, they only have two cameras, and it's a whole community," said one resident.
"You know, I think people are really ignoring the cameras. They just act like they don't care. They just don't care," said another resident.
In some places trees limit what cameras see. The surveillance program has been in effect for about a month, but police said there has yet to be prosecution involving evidence used from the cameras.
Some residents have mixed feelings on the cameras.
"Yes and no. Yes, because it's safeguarding the community. No, because it's like an invasion of privacy to look out your window and see a camera there," said a community member.
He's out hawking his "book" like a pimp
He inferred that Chris Berman's a blimp
He talked about Bill
And he always will
Take cheap shots to disguise he's a wimp
I've seen Olberman's show and am amazed that
any network would allow him to sit in front
of a camera without his straight jacket on.
He is the epitome of a hatefilled liberal hack
who is ruled by his emotions and personal
fantasies rather than objective comprehension of
reality. Actually, I think he is the illegitimate son of Dan Rather and Mary Mapes....
Why am In not suprised that a GOP'er would be a Yanklee fan.. sort of like being a fan of US Steel or Bank of America. The Yanks and their payroll are a major reason why the salary structure is so out of whack in MLB. Come on Steinbrenner hurry up and die.
Isn't Keith a Yankees fan? Or does he just like to go to the Stadium and get freebies?
Yes,,, Keith is a Yankee fan.. more proof that he is not a real liberal. Ah,, OK that is a pretty lame cover-up attempt. Busted.
Olbermann on the Late Show was soooo predictable. He praised Clinton as I knew he would and threw in a shot at O'Reilly. I find it quite amusing why Keith would want to mention someone whose ratings are 20X higher than his. Bill O'Reilly looks at all sides of the issuses most unlike Olbermann who is nothing more than a far left liberal hack with no talent whatsoever except for maybe announcing high school rugby games!
Smegma Olbermadd MUST GO
Letterman, the "Top Ten List" book "author", probably appreciated the amount of work Krazy put into his own book. Two rip-off artists perpetrating their lastest scam.
I see these appearances as PR for O'Reilly. Anyone who sees Keith says "who's that," and by the end of the interview they say, "why would I watch him." However, all the plugs for O'Reilly must make people curious. After all, they have heard of him. They must say, "I have to see what all the fuss is about"!

GAY GOP STAFFERS LIST CIRCULATES
WASHINGTON -- There's a list going around. It's a roster of top-level Republican congressional aides who are gay. The List includes nine chiefs of staffs, two press secretaries, and two directors of communications. It shows that some of the religious right's favorite representatives and senators have gay staffers helping them advance their political careers and agendas including Representatives Katherine Harris and Henry Hyde, Senators Bill Frist, George Allen, Mitch McConnell and Rick Santorum.
On CBS News on Tuesday, correspondent Gloria Borger reported that there is anger among House Republicans at what an unidentified House GOPer called a "network of gay staffers and gay members who protect each other and did the Speaker a disservice." The implication is that these gay Republicans somehow helped page-pursuing Mark Foley before his ugly conduct was exposed. The List is an accounting of who on Capitol Hill is in that network.
One of Karl Rove's most successful strategies over the past ten years has been to energize the GOP's christian base of volunteers and voters with each new election. But as Karl's Christian Crusaders are well aware, if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. The List is expected to be leaked to the press soon, and well before the midterm elections. If so, the most strident christians in the republican base are more likely to be energized against the GOP, rather than for it.
If such a list is released, it'll more than likely just harm the reps/senators the staffers work for, and a few of them are in very tight races. Far bigger than that is the effect the GOP infighting will produce. Hastert's probably history. He was also implicated in the Abramoff affair, so savvy GOPers will recognize a chance to change leadership and go for it. There will be plenty more republican resignations, from staff and senior members of the House, before all this finally spins out.

Well, let me ask your opinion, anonymous... would this gay posse only be composed of Republicans who didn't let Hassert know about how reckless Foley had become... or would it also have to include gay democratic staffers who didn't give minority leader Nancy Pelosi the 411 about Foley way before Oct. too?
hhmmmmmmmm?
Anonymous, do you concur with the insinuation here that gay folks are innately apt to shield and protect their own against behavior that the DNC has deemed unethical and immoral?
regarding the book scan data.
I would like to write a post comparing the data but it does not make sense to look at the current week of KO's sales when the book came out on 9/11. If anyone can get me the first week sales data OR the year to date sales I would write about that.
The current sales ARE pretty low. It makes me wonder whether KO really had the 18th most sales of the book stores checked by the NY Times or did they just stick him on their as "also for sale.
would this gay posse ... also have to include gay democratic staffers who didn't give minority leader Nancy Pelosi the 411 about Foley way before Oct. too?
yes, it's the democrats' fault.
just like 9/11.
and Katrina.
and Iraq.
. . .
do you concur with the insinuation here that gay folks are innately apt to shield and protect their own?
the insinuation is not that they are "innately apt", it's that they did "shield and protect" (something unethical).
Have you checked Drudge lately?
You can stick a fork in Hastert ...
AIDE SAYS HE REPORTED FOLEY 2 YEARS AGO
A senior congressional aide said Wednesday that he alerted House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office two years ago about worrisome conduct by former Rep. Mark Foley with teenage pages. Kirk Fordham told The Associated Press that when he was told about Foley's inappropriate behavior toward pages, he had "more than one conversation with senior staff at the highest level of the House of Representatives asking them to intervene." The conversations took place long before the e-mail scandal broke, Fordham said, and at least a year earlier than members of the House GOP leadership have acknowledged.

I'll take that as a yes... it would have to include gays of both parties.. (unless Democrat pols are weeding out gay staffer candidates...)
"(the insinuation is not that they are "innately apt", it's that they did "shield and protect" (something unethical)."
So how did gay staffers fail Denny Hassert and Nancy Pelosi?
Keith is a Yankee fan?
On Air and Online, Olbermann Draws Attention to Voting Problems
http://www.ojr.org/ojr/stories/041130glaser/
OJR: How would you describe yourself politically on the liberal-to-conservative spectrum? How important do you think it is for MSM to be transparent on their political affiliations?
KO: I'm not political. I don't vote -- I don't believe journalists covering politics should (and I don't think the democracy would suffer if however many of us there are, recused ourselves). I have no more interest in the political outcome of an election than I did in the winner or loser of any ballgame I ever covered. I think transparency is vital; I think it's also, in these super-heated political times, unintentionally inescapable. If a reporter's work in turn winds up criticizing a candidate or party in some cases, and praising that same candidate or party in others, he's as close to neutral as he can be. If not, he's a partisan. The partisans outnumber the neutrals 1000:1.
So how did gay staffers fail Denny Hassert and Nancy Pelosi?
"The implication is that these gay Republicans somehow helped page-pursuing Mark Foley ..."

And the homophobic Republicans didn't come down on Foley like a ton of bricks....and neither did Nancy Pelosi...who must have known about Foley according to all accouts of his actions being "common knowledge"...therefore Hassert should have thrown out a gay male senator for allegations about being predatory against "young maled".....riverdog...where are you now....despite having turned over what data they had to the FBi and the FBI ruling it out....
Riverdog....where are you now....
You're being disingenous, Anonymous.
The implication would HAVE to be that both Democrat and Republican gay staffers helped Mark Foley.... unless Democrat pols screen against gay staffers...
YOU and Gloria Borger are welcomed to THAT line of argument....
"and the homophobic Republicans didn't come down on Foley like a ton of bricks....and neither did Nancy Pelosi...who must have known about Foley according to all accouts of his actions being "common knowledge"...therefore Hassert should have thrown out a gay male senator for allegations about being predatory against "young maled".....riverdog...where are you now....despite having turned over what data they had to the FBi and the FBI ruling it out...."
. . . . .
among rep leaders, homophobia is rare. it's much more common among the base whom they manipulate.
i understand that you think pelosi should have done more, and did not -- precisely in order to spring an october surprise. and that she is hence hypocritical ... and guilty of the very malfeasance of which hastert is accused. could be. politicians being political and all that. i for one do not think hastert=allbad and pelosi=allgood.
and i gather that you also think hastert complied with his responsibilities. could be. but i doubt it. politicians being political and all that. all i'm saying is, with the way these stories are breaking ... dennis is probably all done.
"politicians being political and all that. all i'm saying is, with the way these stories are breaking ... dennis is probably all done."
No, dear... you could have stated that three posts ago....
What you did state was this:
"yes, it's the democrats' fault.
just like 9/11.
and Katrina.
and Iraq."
and after a bit of prodding you now admit:
"i understand that you think pelosi should have done more, and did not -- precisely in order to spring an october surprise. and that she is hence hypocritical ... and guilty of the very malfeasance of which hastert is accused. could be. politicians being political and all that. i for one do not think hastert=allbad and pelosi=allgood."
Well, we're delighted to hear that.
What were you saying about a gay posse?
What were you saying about a gay posse?
"On CBS News on Tuesday, correspondent Gloria Borger reported that there is anger among House Republicans at what an unidentified House GOPer called a "network of gay staffers and gay members who protect each other and did the Speaker a disservice." . . .
No, dear... you could have stated that three posts ago....and after a bit of prodding you now admit.
Cecelia, what exactly is it i can do for you?
Is there something you are driving at?
It would help if you could simply state it.
Well...oh my goodness...you already did state it...based on logical conclusions of Gloria Borger's argument...with a bit of prompting...but we won't hold that against you...
You said:

Yes, that's the case.
Thanks!
OK, well now that's all out of the way ... let's revist my original posts:
-- A Gay GOP Staffer List is about to break.
-- Hastert is probably finished as speaker.
" Gay GOP Staffer List is about to break.

Let's add your statement:

Now, that you're just a call as you see it reporter...instead of one who said this:
'"yes, it's the democrats' fault.
just like 9/11.
and Katrina.
and Iraq."'
I'll ask...who is exposing and outting all these Republican gay staffers (but not the Dems ones who you admit could/should have told Pelosi) who will reportedly turn away the conservative base from voting?
who is exposing and outting all these Republican gay staffers ?
the article says "On CBS News on Tuesday, correspondent Gloria Borger reported that there is anger among House Republicans at what an unidentified House GOPer called a "network of gay staffers and gay members who protect each other and did the Speaker a disservice." but i gather you think the outters are dems. (it would help if you stated that yourself, rather than pose it in the form of a question or inuendo. that's why it didn't so much take "prodding" for me to state my feelings about haster/pelosi, rather it took decyphering -- to try and figure out what you were actually trying to assert).
. . . . .
yes, it's the democrats' fault.
just like 9/11.
and Katrina.
and Iraq.
if you didn't catch my drift here, it was that reps seem bent on blaming others for their own problems. even after being in control of all three branches for years, 9/11 was clinton's fault. nobody imagined the levees would be topped. and the failures in Iraq are because of democratic lack of resolve, not lousy planning/implementation by the party in control. add to that the blame upon pelosi, which more rightly belongs to the republican leadership IN CONTROL.
Ratings for everybody got bumped up by the foley mess looks like. Now that the initial shock is over, people are starting to ask (like cecelia) where all this is coming from. RC may have to start a brian ross watch. Dems and the msm are going to get stung by the backlash.

Well, "reps" in the case you're suggeseting above would solely mean republicans...and of course that doesn't gibe with what you've already admitted about catching my drift about gay democratic staffers letting Pelosi in on such immoral doings, now does it? You said:
"i understand that you think pelosi should have done more, and did not -- precisely in order to spring an october surprise. and that she is hence hypocritical ... and guilty of the very malfeasance of which hastert is accused. could be. politicians being political and all that. i for one do not think hastert=allbad and pelosi=allgood."
So much for not catching someone's drift and it merely being about ones "Own" party....
but good talking points out the Democrat Playbook that's already been referenced on this site....
However, Gloria Borger's reporting on GOPers being angry at gay staffers....doesn't exactly gibe with outting them and hurting the party....that has to be done by someone else...
So how does it feel to jettison your ideas about gays and privacy for political expediency.... pretty damn good, I'd gather...
Again, you and Gloria are welcomed to it....but we always knew you lived in glass houses even as you casted stones at Karl Rove....
(oh yeah...levees being topped...the Iraq War...and Republican.... and admittedly Democrat gays... protecting Foley from Denny Hassert...are all the same...)
Well, "reps" in the case you're suggeseting above would solely mean republicans...
i do not think gays, dem or rep, protected foley to the extent that hastert and other rep leaders were unaware of foley's indiscretions. and even if pelosi was as aware as hastert, since hastert is the speaker, it was on his desk to deal with. and i believe he did not deal with it effectively, since the problem persisted for quite a while.
. . . . .
and of course that doesn't gibe with what you've already admitted about catching my drift about gay democratic staffers letting Pelosi in on such immoral doings, now does it?
what exactly is it you think i admited and then jettisoned for expediencey?
. . . . .
However, Gloria Borger's reporting on GOPers being angry at gay staffers....doesn't exactly gibe with outting them and hurting the party....that has to be done by someone else...
not necessarily. there's a lot of infighting going on now, especially for the speakership.
