"It's always better to know where the crazy guy lives - that way, you can avoid his house."
Or so writes Steve Spruiell in his profile of Keith Olbermann (Oh, Olby! / Keith Olbermann goes bananas on MSNBC) in latest issue of National Review($), just out today. Spruiell has a teaser with an excerpt on his Media Blog on National Review Online.
Olbermann Watch gets some nice ink along with J$ and yours truly. Clear-thinking readers will be sure to recognize some of our favorite memes over the years: KO's blackboxers after the '04 election, Keith's constant hectoring of the Bush administration, David Shuster's "predictions", Olbermann calling the president "Mr. Bush" instead of "President Bush", our fisking of KO's special comments and a recent OlbyWatch fave - KO handing a check to Bubba on camera saying "Here's eight more schools in Kenya...from me."
Here is the pull quote for Olbermann Watch readers:
The 2004 presidential election marked the turning point between Olbermann's early ambitions to do a hard-news show and his more recent efforts to resemble, as much as possible, a left-wing blog. And the conservative bloggers have responded. Olbermann's obsession with the election-fraud conspiracy theories circulating on the Internet prompted Robert Cox to create OlbermannWatch.com in order to document Olbermann's "careless reporting, reckless reliance on unreliable sources, and monomaniacal obsessions over lunatic fringe jihads." OlbermannWatch.com contributor Mark Koldys fact-checks Countdown each night, and tallies the references to "Mr. Bush" on his "MisterMeter."

Olbermann Watch Rules!!!
Long may it rule!
I would urge anyone to read the full text of the article if you get the chance, even if you have to subscribe to do so. It's well worth it.
National Review.. maybe you folks should read what William F Bucklet says about W Bush. The only way America recovers from Bush is if someone smart in his cabinet slips him some poison.
KO is a screwball. Anyone that takes his babble serious is a screwball too.
Yes.. please give your money to Mr. Buckley, he is a real conservative and I admire him sticking to his guns and not being bought and sold by the Bush admin.

I think some of you are missing the point. This is not about left or right, Republican or Democrat.
The important point about this article in National Review is that Olbermann Watch is mentioned which means all of you are able to bask in the reflected glory of the growing media adulation for OlbyWatch.
Yipppiee !!!! I will be famoous.
Actually, I meant everyone except O'lielly.
Shit.. I am expecting to be starting my new blog. www.pretzelsandanemptybeercan.com.. be looking for it.
O;lielly you are already a legend in your own mind just like your hero olbermann. if you start your own blog 'o;'lie does that mean you will be spending less time here showing us all what a dipstick you are??
who knows if your blog gets dumb enough maybe your olbermann will pay you to be on his special ed show.
Problem is.....in order for Olbermanwatch.com to exist, Keith Olbermann must continue to have access to the masses....It's take ying/yang, lightness/darkness, good/evil requirement of the universe.
The right here requires the wrong of KO.....oh well....truck on.
