The tributes to Keith Olbermann just keep coming. Now, along with the two Murrows, he has another distinguished journalism award he can display by his bathtub.
There were four awards granted by the News Watch panel. In this QuickTime video you will see glimpses of the other three, along with the full-length tribute accorded to Edward R Olbermann for his unique journalistic achievements:
Remember Keith, think of it this way: "At least they spelled my name right." Oh, wait...never mind.
Thanks JD for posting. That's hysterically funny. And something tells me the misspelling of KO's name was NO mistake on the part of Fox. God love them.
What happened to Neal Gabler ? Has Faux sent him to Guantanamo ?
Wow! Ellis Henigan took Gabler's spot? Cool! he's one lib I like. Ellis isn't you're typical, far off the board, run of the mill, leftist nut bag that 93% of Libs are.
Gabler would never go on O'Reilly's show but Henigan has no problem. And Ellies always knows how to tweek Bill. That worm Gabler never gos on anybodys show after he shouts dopey stuff. Which, if his contract is up, he can go over to Keith's little propagandist show. He can spew his dopey stuff all the time. But that would be a somewhat suicidal career move, don't you think?
I wonder did Keith go over to his girls house for Thanksgiving? I wonder if dad had Fox News on when Keith walked through the door?
Since Keith doesn't have any balls to debate anybody on his show, if Keith and whats her name decide to make it legal. Will they move to Massachusetts or New Jersey?
Thanks again JD for posting that clip!

God love them??? It's good to misrepresent? You have an issue with Keith because he's a fraud and you enjoy a little fib from Fox? Seems like you might be a fraud.
"And something tells me the misspelling of KO's name was NO mistake on the part of Fox. God love them."
Excellence in broadcasting.
"93% of Libs"
50% of statistics are made up.
If Cal Thomas doesn't dye his hair, what's the story on the difference between the hair on his head and that old porn star moustache he used to sport?
http://www.battlecreekmich.com/prayerbreakfast/05/images/cal_thomas.jpg
"Wow! Ellis Henigan took Gabler's spot?"
BTW, did you misspell Ellis Hennigan's name on purpose?
Wow, your pathetic anti-fan site shows a film of a Fox News blowhard irritated about a crack made about his phoney-looking hair. That's great stuff. The one Fox doofus had it right when he questioned the first Fox doofus as to whether his hurt vanity was an appropriate crtiterion on which to name his nominee - given the gravitas surrounding the Fox News Turkey Award" I suppose.
Isn't 95% of the content here about Keith's hair, skin pigmentation, and other physical attributes?
KO has been very complimentary of Fox News Watch in the past, even listing it as one of his favorite shows.
While the criticisms don't seem to be very substantive, KO makes the same kind of jokes at FNC's expense, so that's fair.
If FNW misspelled KO's name intentionally, that is both immature and counterproductive. When he runs the clip on "Countdown"
It seems that FNC has decided to change course in the way it deals with Olbermann (Now, that's a John Moody memo I'd love to read). The refusal to acknowledge him or mention his name hasn't worked. Even O'Reilly said last week on F&F that he's going to "name names" of people who have blasted Fox in regard to the OJ thing.
Oops, I cut off some of my last post. (At least I didn't cut off my Slawson.)

If FNW misspelled KO's name intentionally, that is both immature and counterproductive. When he runs the clip on "Countdown," he'll be able to say "the incompetents at FNC blasted me, yet couldn't even spell my name right."
FNC (as well as the other cable news channels) often has typos in its chyrons ("Mark Foley, D-FL," is the most famous recent example). It seems out of character for FNW to do something like that.

Haha. God you guys are a bunch of idiots. Trying to act high and mighty and "above" Olbermann and his fans, when you're nothing but a bunch of fan boys for the Fox News crew, most of whom are equally as repulsive as Olbermann. Keep up the good work guys! You bunch of idiotic hypocrits!
How much do you want to bet that Brian Stelter of TVNewser ignores this video?
Neal Gabler has not been replaced, he is taking time off to promote his new book on Walt Disney.
This site must be financed by Fox. Nothing else makes any sense.
This has really become lame and pathetic.
Olbermann is just a propaganda front for the Leftist-Islamic alliance!
And Red Wolf is just a propaganda front for Right Wingnut Reactionary Alliance....you know, the one that got us into this counterproductive mess in Iraq in the first place.
You mean the war that Kerry, Biden, and Hillary Clinton all voted for and that Bill Clinton said was necessary? That war?
I heard that Fox News is going to do a parody show to rival The Daily Show!
This is a joke in itself - The right wing media has NO sense of humor -
I request one example of a funny idea from the right!
John Stewart rocks - and so does Keith! Who else could love Stuie Griffin so much?
Yea Brandon, THAT war! There really is a huge difference with just going along with a bad idea and actually being the one who came up with and pushed that idea.
That said, as a Democrat, I certainly don't take any pride that those particular "leaders" that you mentioned did not exibit better judgement in a time of national crisis.
That's right, Anon. Get a load of Dennis Miller - hitched his act to the neocon wagon and had to pay his studio audience to sit there for an hour and a half, for as long as his crappy show lasted. Fascism just isn't funny.
First, it was his clothes and now it is someone else misspelling his name?
Wow! This site is the lamest thing since Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Another fawning MSM article this morning in the LA Times. Why is it that Olbermann garners so much press for a show that is so lowly rated? I can't wait for Bob and JD to fact-check the LA Times reporter. There are probably some whoppers in there somewhere.
And he claims again he doesn't vote but didn't someone say that Chris Matthews outed him as a voter during the mid-term election coverage earlier this month?
Keith Olbermann is the definition of loser.
He can't even beat an old girlfirend in the ratings when she is covering for BillO.
Olbermann makes BillO WPITW over the OJ book/movie contoversey without even acknowledging that Mr. O'Reilly did actually take a risk in calling for advertiser boycotts against his own employer. News Corp may be greedy and illustrate "bottom-feeder" tendencies, but so does/is his own "boss," GE. This wonderful company has, on occasion, tried to play to the lowest-common-denominator as well.
The United States public loves this cheesey/sellzy stuff and advertisers know it. O'Reilly did take a stand against it and Olbermann did not. What does that tell you, Olbermann apologists?
When Olbermann stands up to his corporate bosses, I will change my opinion of him. Until then, he is like the rest of the liberals in this noisy world....wimps.
"controversy"
Also, Olbermann continues to be crititcal of conservatives when they use fleeting violent descriptions of opposition research (Morgan as WPITW who referred to her research on Pelosi as painting a bull's eye on the speaker-to-be), but he is prone to actually voicing his sophomoric violent fantasies of his betters (Limbaugh being shot at and O'Reilly having his achilles tendon cut).
What a putz.
Same BS come from the liberal freaks that visit this site. (This site is lame) (You people are losers) (Olbermann is right) Fact is Olbermann is still propped up by the left and MSNBC to try to garner ratings opposite FoxNews. But money talks and soon sponsors will notice that (as Air America found out) Liberals are too broke to buy products other than hemp clothes and governemnt cheese. Without ratings and sponsors, KO wastes away and you Olbermann Watch fans will be stuck reading blogs for your talking points. Can't wait!
Poor Benson.
She thinks that liberals are poor--this week!
Next week, they'll be the "Hollywood elite" or whatever she needs to prove whatever point she doesn't have.
She's as lame as this site.
So, Benson, you all but came right out and said it: Conservatives are wealthy and materialistic, in other words, shallow and self centered.
Exactly what I've been thinking all along! And to think how effectively they have used their money to fool too many of us into believing they were for "moral values"!
I think what Benson is saying is that, in her opinion, money is more important than truth.
Get back to work or in line kids-

Keith Olbermann's gloves come off
*Anti-Bush views have driven up the ratings of the former sportscaster's MSNBC show.
Good non-reply, Benson!
Really, telling us that the fact that big money may not be behind Olbermann has something to do with his veracity borders on the comical.
Do you always stick a pump in your mouth?
Cee:
It's a little silly to keep pointing out that KO "lost" in the ratings to "his old girlfriend". I'm willing to bet that if Keith himself were to substitute for O'Reilly, he would also beat "himself". Viewing habits of the public die hard.
What you people who love to keep dumping on his ratings don't mention is that he is leading his own network...by a lot! That means that all those extra viewers have to physically go to the effort to tune in at 8:00 PM, and are not carryovers from a popular network.
The fact that O'Reilly used such a rabid right winger to sub for him says more negative things about his politics than he is willing to admit himself.
When Olbermann stands up to his corporate bosses, I will change my opinion of him. Until then, he is like the rest of the liberals in this noisy world....wimps.

He stood up to the president of the United States. He didn't brown nose this administration like Fox and O'Reily does. He is more of a man than O'Reily could ever dream to be. If you think sucking behinds is manly, go for it. Olbermann was right. The country agrees. Continue to delude yourself. It is what you do the best.
Love how you come back with the Liberal talking points- Claiming that I think "money is more important than truth."? Hey commies- how many smart unemployed people do you know other than your friends? Get a job- become a Republican. You'd be surprised how knowledge could open your eyes.
NON-EXISTENT IRAQI INSURGENCY THRIVING
-- Rebellion Which U.S. Government Denied Now Fully Self-Sufficient --
WASHINGTON -- A classified United States government report has concluded that the violent insurgency in Iraq -- once denied by the Bush administration, but then grudgingly acknowledged to be in its "last throes" -- is now self-sustaining financially, raising tens of millions of dollars a year. White House spokesman Tony Snow commented on the report, saying, "This is a very serious development, and President Bush is fully committed to working with our coalition partners to find a viable solution that will prevent the publishing of U.S. government reports that reveal our policy in Iraq to be a total failure."
P.S. "Good non-reply, Benson!"
It's called a job- Try one Anon. It pays a lot more than just posting nonsense here.
Poor Benson.
Even those of us with jobs know that money is not the end all. Guess that makes those of us who don't sell our country out "commies" as you call us. Hopefully, you haven't had to procure a security clearance, because we know what trumps patriotism in your world.
My liberal friends have jobs. My neocon friends, when they are unemployed, blame affirmative action. Another one of your talking points, eh young lady?
Stick to your own talking points, I don't need your BS about affirmative action coming out of my mouth.
And don't pity me poor liberal boy... my income taxes probably single handedly pay room and board of 4 or f5 of your unemployed friends. Please tell them they are all welcome from me at your next hookah party.
I cannot help but pity you, Benson. You are ignorant. Ignorance is being shed by most of the population of the United States, but you seem to have a terminal case of it. What's funny is the people that you support probably pay far fewer taxes than you do, young lady. Being middle class, I probably pay far more than you.
You don't tend to say much, but I won't assume that you are stupid as well. I give you neocons the benefit of the doubt.
But you do assume I am unhappy (posted an hour ago) because I am well off. Just shows why you and Olbermann think alike.
You have me confused with another poster. I simply assume that you don't have any idea what you are talking about.
my bad- u are right
Benson:
Only truly ignorant people use the words "commies". Only the truly self absorbed taunt others about how much money they have.
I/m not wealthy but I,m doing OK. I do have a few wealthy friends as well. However, not one of them rubs their money in the faces of others not so fortunate.
Benson, you are a very shallow and self-absorbed shell of a human being. Don't delude yourself - Nobody envies you!
Shaddup Mike... nobody asks for envy or pity. Just pointing out the fact that you come to this site and piss on everyones party, as though they are misinformed. But you liberals seem to love to cast judgement on everyone else. I pity your angry ass.
"If you are young and are not a Liberal, you have no heart; if you are older and are not Conservative, you have no brain."
It's true, Ms. Benson. You do go on about your money. Do you have nice things? Many young ladies like to be surrounded by nice things. Personally, I am happy where I am at, financially.
Perhaps you aren't fixated on money. But, you come off that way. For that, I pity you.
Who's the quote by, Benson? Putting something in quotes usually indicates that someone stated it, besides yourself.
Pity accepted... thanks for the concern. Now that's a good liberal.
codas,
You are deluded. Do you even watch O'Reilly? He is much more tough in interviews than Olbermann and asks tough questions even to people he tends to agree with ideologically. He does not kiss butt, unlike Olbermann who gives donations to the people he is supposed to be interviewing!
Example. Did you watch any of BillO's interview with the president prior to the elections? Did you see the part when he asked Bush about:
Water boarding?
Is water boarding torture?
What's wrong with civilian courts? What's wrong with doing what you did to Moussaoui?
O'Reilly also challenged Bush over Afghanistan,
The Taliban is financed by poppy sales, heroin trafficking. Why doesn't the United States destroy those fields? Again, you know, it's year after year and we don't see a lot of results here. (O'Reilly referring to Afghanistan)
Another good question....
"When you see your approval rating at 40 percent, what goes through your mind?"
Another difficult remark from O'Reilly:
"But then Woodward says you don't listen to anybody. You just blow them off."
He put this to Bush....face to face.....can you source Olbermann doing this to ANYBODY face to face?
Another good question:
If the Republicans lose control of the House and the Senate in a few weeks in the election. Is that going to influence you at all?
And codas, look how O'Reilly ended the interview...(although plugging his book in the process, but Olbermann can't take issue with that):
O'REILLY: The secular progressives don't like you because you're a man of faith.
BUSH: Yes.
O'REILLY: You know that.
BUSH: Yes. That causes me to be sad for people who don't like somebody because he happens to believe in the Almighty.
O'REILLY: But you know that's in play.
BUSH: Absolutely. They think you are some kind of evangelical. God tells you what to do and you go out and do it. And they hate that.
BUSH: I guess that I have pity for people who believe that. They don't understand the relationship between man and the Almighty, then. And.
O'REILLY: Don't believe it?
BUSH: Well, that's their choice. The great thing about America is we're equally American. In other words, those of us who believe in an Almighty, and those who don't are equal. And that's the way we got to keep it, because it distinguishes us from Usama bin Laden or the Taliban.
Well, let me finish my point.
O'REILLY: Sure.
BUSH: And so I welcome the diversity of views when it comes to religion. And I think that anybody who dislikes somebody because he happens to be a religious person is someone to be pitied.
O'REILLY: But they say that you make policy based on your faith.
BUSH: I make policy based upon principles that I believe are important. And my faith sustains me. My faith gives me comfort and strength.
But I make decisions — listen when I campaigned, I said vote for me and I will help reform the school system. Vote for me, we'll make Medicare work better. Vote for me, I'll defend the United States of America with all our might.
And those are the fundamental issues facing the country. And if people want to ascribe all kinds of, you know, all kinds of motives to my thinking, they just don't understand me.
The Bush HATERS (and you're one, codas), lie about Bush constantly regarding his realtionship with God...taking quotes out of context, claiming he says he hears God's voice, etc. O'Reilly gave Bush an opportunity to face the criticism and he answered it.....honestly.
O'Reilly does NOT kiss butt like Olbermann, codas.
Lastly, Olbermann did not, "stand up" to the president....he echoed the far left talking points that have been around since 1999!!!....big deal....they still are wrong and will continue to be wrong just like they were during the cold war.
Olbermann kisses the liberal, looney left's big behind. At least O'Reilly tries to ask some hard questions.
Good work cee- Don't forget that according to Clinton- Fox News carries out 'conservative hit jobs'. But I recall after O'Reilley ripped into Bush, he leaned over and handed him a check... oh, sorry wrong talking head.
Apparently, Benson knows not where she got the quote.
Google it - you have the internet apparently
Gore invented it for such an occasion
I did Google it. It is an invented quote, falsely attributed to Winston Churchill.
See, I WAS right about you being ignorant, wasn't I?
Oops! I'm sorry. Gore never stated that he invented the internet. I am just pretending to be a dumb neocon.
Loser- did I attribute it to Churchill? Thats why you like Olbermann. You like to make the same linear assumptions? Find something on the Internet and run with it.
You put it into quotes. Who do you attribute it to? Don't pretend to be an imbecile just because you are embarassed.
It is a quote! You are the fool that put Churchill to it... and then called me ignorant for saying it. Hit the hookah brainboy
"I took the initiative in creating the Internet." Al Gore- split the hairs
From THE WASHINGTON TIMES 5/29/06:
Al Gore's new movie on global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth," opens with scenes from Hurricane Katrina slamming into New Orleans. The former vice president says unequivocally that because of global warming, it is all but certain that future hurricanes will be more violent and destructive than those in the past.
Inconvenient or not, the nation's top hurricane scientists are divided on whether it's the truth.
Today there are news reports about 2006 being one of the mildest hurricane seasons in a decade. I wonder if Bob, the Olbermann apologist, will respond?
I wonder if Olbermann will cover this story?
BUSH SAYS ALLIES MUST BOLSTER MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX
-- Increased Spending Vital For Military Solutions Like Those Emerging in Iraq --
WASHINGTON -- After comments by Jordan's King Abdullah that the middle east could soon could become engulfed in multiple civil wars, President Bush plans this week to press NATO alliance members to significantly increase their military spending. Said one NATO summit attendee, "Despite the fantastic success of U.S. military operations in Iraq, the nuanced European position still maintains that boosting intelligence capabilities and development aid are significantly more important than the straightforward perception of the Bush administration that you can solve terrorism militarily."
Oh yes, those poor terrorists. Their "rights" are being violated. How about the 3,000 people who died on 9/11? What about their rights? Don't see any Muslims shedding any tears over their deaths now do you?
Brandon- I agree with ya- but where did that come from?
Ah, just two weeks since the election and the chickens are coming home to roost. Hey Dems.....are you listening?....Michael Moore has his order ready for you to execute.....
An exerpt only....
"The responsibility to end this war now falls upon the Democrats. Congress controls the purse strings and the Constitution says only Congress can declare war. Mr. Reid and Ms. Pelosi now hold the power to put an end to this madness. Failure to do so will bring the wrath of the voters. We aren't kidding around, Democrats, and if you don't believe us, just go ahead and continue this war another month. We will fight you harder than we did the Republicans. The opening page of my website has a photo of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, each made up by a collage of photos of the American soldiers who have died in Bush's War. But it is now about to become the Bush/Democratic Party War unless swift action is taken.
This is what we demand:
"1. Bring the troops home now. Not six months from now. NOW. Quit looking for a way to win. We can't win. We've lost. Sometimes you lose. This is one of those times. Be brave and admit it.
"2. Apologize to our soldiers and make amends. Tell them we are sorry they were used to fight a war that had NOTHING to do with our national security. We must commit to taking care of them so that they suffer as little as possible. The mentally and physically maimed must get the best care and significant financial compensation. The families of the deceased deserve the biggest apology and they must be taken care of for the rest of their lives.
"3. We must atone for the atrocity we have perpetuated on the people of Iraq. There are few evils worse than waging a war based on a lie, invading another country because you want what they have buried under the ground. Now many more will die. Their blood is on our hands, regardless for whom we voted. If you pay taxes, you have contributed to the three billion dollars a week now being spent to drive Iraq into the hellhole it's become. When the civil war is over, we will have to help rebuild Iraq. We can receive no redemption until we have atoned."
from http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/message/index.php?id=202
So liberals, do you agree? If we are not out of Iraq, defeated and demoralized in 6 months as Moore wants, this becomes a "Bush/Democratic Party War?"
To repeat the words from the idol of the left in our great country.....
"We aren't kidding around, Democrats, and if you don't believe us, just go ahead and continue this war another month. We will fight you harder than we did the Republicans."
THEM'S FIGHT'N WORDS!
Tough isn't it?
Hello?
"We can't win. We've lost.... atone for the atrocity we have perpetuated on the people of Iraq"..."Be brave and admit it."-quoting Michael Moore. Its great to have such a great patriot who loves America. PPhhht..... wish he would go work for Al Jazeera where he is revered. Look what that a--hole did to GM 20 years ago. Now he is trying to do it to my country. f--- off Ms Moore.
NBC NEWS DECLARES IRAQ "CIVIL WAR"
-- White House Declares NBC News "Terrorist Organization" --
WASHINGTON -- After much deliberation, NBC news has decided to characterize the deteriorating situation in Iraq -- wherein heavily armed, militarized factions are fighting a violent internal battle for individual political agendas -- as civil war. A spokesman for the Bush White House responded, "This brazen, irresponsible act of editorial discretion by the National Broadcasting Corporation not only aids the enemies of a free and independent Iraq, it also harms the interests of Republican propagandists everywhere. The last thing we need during a civil war is for someone to call it a civil war."
Right Wingers seem to have a hard time understanding that Michael Moore is not our hero, nor our spokesman. He is just another American who happens to have an opinion, and voices it.
To those of you screaming either "victory" or "defeat", I ask you what is your definition of either?
The extreme right, who happened to be running this show, chose to define 'victory' as bringing deomocracy to Iraq. They said anything less would be 'defeat'! What a ridiculously high bar you guys on the right gave us for success!
Although I have always believed that going in was a colossal blunder.....We could have chosen to call simply getting rid of Saddam 'victory', or we could have defined victory as defeating the Iraq army. We could have settled for just trying to create a stable society with a simple government. But NOOOOO, we had to go and define victory as somehow creating a stable democracy in a multiple tiered society with values completely different than our own, and then define 'defeat' as failing to achieve this stable democracy.
Now weve gone and given the Islamists and terrorists everywhere every reason to call anything we fail to achieve as 'defeat'.... simply because that was exactly how chose to define it ourselves.
Anybody read the USA today opinion on war and how the noecons are pointing fingers today? One of the best opinion pieces I've ever read, and 100% true!
Just as the left can't get it through their head that we don't all listen to Rush or watch Fox.
Amen Brandon- You hit it on the head....
Right Wingers seem to have a hard time understanding, period.
It isn't about Rush, or Fox, or Keith, or the NYT, dumbshits.
It's the policies, stupid.
Which have been played out perfectly in Iraq, New Orleans, the NSA, and in secret American torture chambers everywhere.
(Available wherever U.S. imperialism is sold. Batteries not included.)
Dumbshits? You got no class and no clue. Thats why you are "Anon." There isn't a Democrat that could handle Katrina or 9/11 any better. So sit on your low horse and preach about all the bad in America. Repubs bad- Me good.... Repubs bad- me good. Go home loser. Your shtick is old.
There isn't a Democrat that could handle Katrina or 9/11 any better.
=================================
You are undniably 100% correct, benson. There is not a Liberal around that could ever handle Setember 11 or Hurricane Katrina levy damage or anything else. That is because Liberals want to prevent the problems that we can not handle. Conservatives just want to try and make a victory out of them.
Check out how the "unbiased" and "credible" TVNewser site framed this:
