Funny, the actual article says that 18 of the 34 states in the O'Reilly column are "within the margin of error". But of course, a little fuzziness works so well for your copy.

I don't think the clear-thinking readers of Olbermann Watch appreciate you impugning the integrity of this important survey or are analysis of the election data.

The same analyst also stated KO was the ONLY "liberal" with a show on cable news, so I would think that should debunk the Conservative held idea that cable news in general is liberal.

In other words, if you accept Media matter's conclusion about 1 show, then you should also accept their conclusion that all the other shows are either Conservative or Center.

Get a grip. Olbermann's show is so blatantly liberal, that he had to admit it.

Other cable liberals are much more covert about it, i.e. everyone on CNN & MSNBC except Lou Dobbs, Tucker Carlson and Scarborough.

I have to agree with Mike. If you look at total audience size and include HLN and CNBC when they are doing news and politics then the preponderance of what viewers are watching on cable news is coming from center, center-right and right. The elephant in the living room is Fox News which still "owns" most of the cable news viewership and all of their programming is center, center-right and right. HLN offers up Glenn Beck twice a night plus a non-political show (Nancy Grace). CNN offers up mostly centrist programming with the exception of Lou Dobbs who is more of a populist in the O'Reilly mold. I don't think you can really say that Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough are conservatives anymore but you can put them down as center-right hosts. What's confusing at MSNBC is that the hosts are being managed by producers are booking more guests from the left and reliably anti-Bush Republicans (ie Buchanan) and selecting left and center-left segment topics. The problem is that MSNBC is less than 25% of the total viewing audience so no matter how far to the left they go they do not serve as a counterweight to Fox News.

Bottom line is that cable news programming, in aggregative, tilts to the right.

That said, cable news programming is a small part of the overall media landscape and much of what gets covered on cable news is bring driven by print media which tilts decidedly to the left.

Hmm, I wonder if KO will name this Media Matters' representative as the worst person in the world.

Clearly, according to KO, this is a false charge; nay, a slander against this generation's Edward R. Murrow.

You're right about Glenn Beck. I forgot about him. However, Mike wasn't talking about viewership, he was talking about individual shows. Clearly, FOX dominates in viewership, but there is a liberal slant on much of MSNBC's programming, as well as CNN.

I love how that guy can say with a straight face that KO is the only liberal with a show on TV...what the hell dose he think Chrissy Matthews,Katie Couric,Wolf Blitzer and the rest are?..No one after all the cheerleading the MSM did for the Dems this last month can say honestly anymore that there isn't a strong liberal bias in the news media.
