Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    January 15, 2007
COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN - JANUARY 15, 2007

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • IRAQ: Rajiv Chandrasekaran, Washington Post
    • OLBERMANN'S ATTACK ON FREE SPEECH: Jonathan Turley
    • O.J. SIMPON
    • AMERICAN IDOL

The opening spiel found Krazy Keith in rare form: an unnamed source about why Bush is wrong, another story about why Bush is wrong, why Cheney is wrong, why the Bush administration is like Stalin and Hitler. Plus O.J. Simpson's book and American Idol.

    MADMAN

Tony Blair is against the surge. Oh, sorry, the "escalation". Clip from 60 Minutes interview (guess what clip? Right, "Mister" Bush admits mistakes!). Edward R Olbermann said 655,000 civilians have died in Iraq since the invasion, citing no source. "Mister" Bush is under fire from all sides, Cheney is even more stubborn. Olby cited Gen Casey to the effect that US troops are under US command, thereby making his hyperbolic outburst in the opening spiel ("under the command of an Iraqi general") just Another Olbermann Lie.

Monkeymann suggested to Rajiv that our troops are being inserted into a civil war. "It's not encouraging." We're being played like a pawn, aren't we? "Maliki could well dig in his heels." Aren't we actually helping Iran? The Iraqis "really aren't on board" with our Iran policy. Great thanks.

Next came another episode of Olby and The Perfessor, something about lawyers for the terrorists being the real victims because CEO's might not want to hire law firms who defend terrorists. The Perfessor immediately cried "intimidation" against the "troglodyte" in the administration who dared make that observation (never mind that pesky 1st Amendment, it can be so inconvenient on OlbyPlanet). This whole segment was another excursion into Olbysurrealism, where the right of corporations to refuse to hire law firms they don't like is no different than it has been for centuries, but never mind, this is the eeevil administration of "Mister" Bush taking away your rights. Or somebody's. You know, like habeas corpus.

Next up were copious quotes and analysis of the leaked O.J. Simpson book chapter. Now wait, wasn't it not that long ago that Fat Ass was slamming the eeevil O'Reilly because Mr Bill wasn't denouncing the whole book project enough? That claim, of course, was just Another Olbermann Lie, but as soon as parts of the book are published, there's Monkeymann, reveling in every detail, complete with an interview guest. An entire segment! Need we point out this is another sterling example of Olbypocrisy at its finest?

The kidnapped boys (regurgitated NBC video), Miss New Jersey, the internet box (this segment running immediately after Olby refers to Donald Trump's pageants as "tawdry"), and American Idol's Paula Abdul. In the Media Matters Minute, "comedian Rush Limbaugh" was attacked for speaking of the Barbara Bouncer matter (conservative slot; Blue Blog Source: Media Matters). Olby drew comparisons to earlier Laura Bush comments, and in doing so, indicted himself and verified what you read here first--Olbermann is a hypocrite. And "Fox & Fiends" (Fox slot) was attacked for daring to criticize NBC.

    OLBY

Dogs that did not bark: The infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann made no mention of a key Islamic militant arrested in Kenya. And for sure Herr Olbermann went out of his way not to mention the London terrorists' trial. Meanwhile, still not one word about the resignations from the Carter center. Nothing about the dramatic increase in recruiting for Iraqi police. And nothing, not even a snarky "worst person" nomination, for the speaker at the MLK service in Atlanta who analogized the hanging of Saddam Hussein to the crucifixion of Christ. Come to think of it, there was hardly any mention (maybe none?) of Martin Luther King. No time for that, of course. We need more coverage of Paula Abdul and the internet box!

    NAME

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olberman's name rallied all the way up to #3,591 at amazon.com, but "Culture Warrior" is #98. The OlbyTome is #2,660 at Barnes & Noble; O'Reilly's book is #246 there, as well as being one of 2006's top ten best sellers. The ratings for Friday's Hour of Spin are not available due to today being King Day, but we have no doubt that the discredited sports guy suffered another humiliating loss to the eeevil O'Reilly, both in total viewers and in the critical, beloved, all-important, coveted "key demo". So, Howie Kurtz does a story on the charges by O'Reilly that NBC/MSNBC has a liberal bias in its reporting.

And who does he go to for a response to these scurrilous accusations?

MSNBC news anchor and host of the news show Countdown, Kenneth Olbermann.

    Y'know, it's a strange, strange world.

Keith must be tired of losing
    The TV viewers are choosing
    They're all watching Fox
    Because that network rocks!
Watch Countdown and you'll soon be snoozing

Oh yeah. And the other NBC/MSNBC personality accused of a liberal bias, Chris Matthews, claimed that:

"Dick Cheney is probably the man most responsible for the fact we've had troops in Saudi Arabia for 10 years. That's what drove the terrorists to attack the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. They were angry that their own holy lands were besmirched basically, dumped on by the United States for 10 years."

Sorry, that famous "right winger" Chris Matthews made the claim.

    Mr. Bison,
"You are what you are. A vermin spawned from a culture of white southern protestants."

For the thousanth time, I come from the Latin Culture. As a typical ignorant Leftard, you can't conceive that there are Rightwing Hispanics. Come down to Miami and I'll introduce you.
Hey Bison give me your contact info so we can meet face to face. It won't be violent I just want you to shit your pants when you see I'm sapnish.
I wan't spawn from the suburban lilly white Communist culture you come from.
So, what's up want to take on my challenge?
Give me your email and I'll contact you.

Again, Red Wolf, you have to wait for Comic Book Store Guy (Buffalo) to get back from POPEYE'S or JACK IN THE BOX.

Oh no, does this mean the Red Wolf vs Buffaloe wars are going to start early tonight?

    From http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16610885/site/newsweek/

    MORE BOOMER TO-DOs

"Ted Nugent, Rusty Wallace, Naomi Judd and other noted baby boomers on what they want to do with the rest of their lives."

    KEITH OLBERMANN, TV Host, 47

His primetime show, “Countdown with Keith Olbermann,” is one of MSNBC's biggest draws, and Olbermann has drawn attention for his increasingly outspoken criticisms of President George W. Bush. Though he's tackling politics these days, Olbermann first made his name in sports, as a top anchor on ESPN's “SportsCenter.”

    To-Do List:

    1. "I want to have children. There's still a slight chance I could make it to their high school graduations, and maybe even make it on foot rather than in a sedan chair they have to carry."

    2. (I'll spare you all this one....he wants a baseball card)

    3. "Become president of the United States so some young fella can [complain] about me. It seems only fair."

    ###
Wow...great goals for the man we all love....

    What a deep guy, uh?

    cee,
Your right Bison burger's shift end at 12!

    Mike,
I want to meet mr. Bison. He keeps claiming I'm a redneck when I'm Spanish. I wnat him to come to Miami and meet more Rightwing Hispanics. It'll blow his puny mind!

With regards to his #1 "to-do"

Doesn't Olbermann realize the ladies HAVE the children?

Perhaps he has developed such a big ego that he believes he could even do that?!?

    Objection!....question asked AND answered!

"Perhaps he has developed such a big ego that he believes he could even do that?!?"

Well, maybe he saw this story: http://www.breitbart.com/news/2007/01/15/D8MM33JO0.html

He wants to have his own baby.

    Now THAT's an ego.

    Redwolf,
You claimed that Jews in America aren't real Jews and real Jews would be in Israel so your girlfriend isn't a real Jew. Then why should anyone take what she says seriously? You held her out as the Jewish expert then claimed she isn't a real Jew at all.

well Cee I did read over the weekend that doctors somewhere were getting ready to do a womb transplant.

So in Olby's mind if he could get a womb, get pregnant, have a kid.

Yeah, he might then finally beat O'Reilly in the ratings.

Imagine if Olby got a womb transplant. Puck, if we tell Olby to go (blank) himself, it would have an entirely different meaning. Olby getting a transplant is scary science fiction. Do we really want that pompous jerk to reproduce? Ick.

    Colbert,
She's was in the IDF. So she paid her dues. She's a manager in her Israeli based company's US IT divison. She lived and grew up there and served in the IDF. So she's more Jewish than any American Jew if you want to get into that. She doesn't like NY Jews. She thinks their scumbags and I for the most part agree with her. They symapthize with Hamas and Hizballah against Israel. Also NY Jews are racist towards Hispanics. So I really couldn't care for them. Living here in Florida I've ran into Floridian Jews and they're really a nice lot. Alot of them are of Spanish and Portuguese origin so they're not prejudiced.

More PR Bullshit from Ko to make himself seem normal. If he wanted kids he'd have gotten married and had them by now. He doesn't, it's jsut designed to make him seem normal, more PR at contract renegotiation time.

Guys watch out. The Bushwatch people are about to start attacking Bush. Remeber the more you guys bash Olbermann the more the loons come out of the ground and then don't defend Olbermann but attack Bush.

    Redwolf,
Have you seen Bush's poll numbers? Have you read what other conservatives have said about him? Does your puny brain comprhend that he is disliked by the vast majority of Americans? Do you really think %60+ of the American people are liberals or loons or any of your other attacks?

    Colbert,
If you haven't read my posts before here's a reminder.
I am not a Bush supporter! He's a lackey for Internationalist Global traitorous Corporations!
How many times do I have to repeat myself.
It's that unlike you Leftards he's not the be all and end all of my existence! I don't care about him. I'm sick of talking about him. My life is going good, so I don't care. As long as the economy stays goos and I continue to have a job and make money I could care less who's president.
    You got that!
This is an Olbermann site. I come here to expose his Pro-Jihad Leftwing Propganda. But in reality I don't care about Teheran Keith. He doesn't affect my life. You loons come here and instead of discussing Teheran Keith all you guys talk about is:
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush.
Start Bushwatch. Heck I'll even bash Bush there.
    This is Olbermannwatch!
    Get it!

    Redwolf,
I also notice you never explained why Ike, Reagan and Bush sided against Israel and Nixon was an anti-Semite even though the right is supposedly pro-Israel. The reason the current Christian right wants the Jews in Israel is because the Bible says it has to be that way for Jesus to come back. At which point all the Jews, whom the Christian right hate, will be massacred and sent to hell.
Finally, if Clinton is anti-Israeli, why is he popular among the "real Jews" in Israel? Are the "real Jews" too stupid to know what's good for them too?

"Does your puny brain comprhend that he is disliked by the vast majority of Americans?"

Truman had a 19% approval rating at the end of his presidency.

Other examples; perhaps not as obvious.

BTW, since you are focused on poll's, what are Pelosi's and Reid's approval ratings?

Actually I think they do get it, which is why they keep changing the subject.

Hey maybe Keith and his 20-year old girlfriend can have a kid together. Then when the kid is 20, maybe one of KO's co-workers (Dan Abrams maybe?) can shack up with her and knock her up. It would only be fair I think.

"The reason the current Christian right wants the Jews in Israel is because the Bible says it has to be that way for Jesus to come back. At which point all the Jews, whom the Christian right hate"

Do you just pull this out of your ass? Or does someone pull it out of their ass and give it to you?

Whatever the case, it's a lot of stuff from someone's ass.

    Colbert,
Reagan was pro-Israel you idiot. The old Right was anti-Semetic, however the new Right is pro-Israel. The old Dems like Truman and Kennedy were pro-Israel. However with the rise of the Marxist influence New Left in the early 70's, They view Israel as an imperialist state and are allied with the Jihadists. Carter was anti-Israel so was Clinton.

"if Clinton is anti-Israeli, why is he popular among the "real Jews" in Israel"
Nope, not true most Israelis I met hate Clinton. He stabbed them in the back and supported Hamas and Arafat.

"At which point all the Jews, whom the Christian right hate, will be massacred and sent to hell. "
Obviously you know nothing about the Christian religion. Just a reminder to your anti-Christain bigotted barin, Christianity comes from Judiasm. The reason Evangelicals and Religious Catholics are pro-Israel is because in the Old Testament, Yahweh gave that land to the Jews!
That's why. Do me a favor, before you comment on my Religion read the scriptures 1st.

Everyone this is Colbert and his Jihadi-Lefties buddies favorite subject:
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush
    Bush

    They're obsessed with him!

The reason the secular left is opposed to the State of Israel is they're afraid that if Jesus does return to earth, they'll all be sent to hell for rejecting God and for living decadent and immoral lives.

There. I can make up stuff too.

Oy. And I do mean Oy.

    Ohboy,
To Colbert and his Leftard friends all religions must be tolerated except one. Christianity! God forbid you make fun of Muslims then they all come out and attack. That's why I post anti-Muslim jokes. Their love of Islam is their Achilles heel. They go nuts when you point out that Muhammed(Shit be Upon him)was pedophile that married an 8 year old name Aisha! Watch the attacks on me begain!
Q: What does Islam stand for?
A: Idiotic Stupid Lowlife a--hole Murders!

    Oyboy,
Be prepared, the Leftard Jihadis are gonna gather around Midnight and come after you!

    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!
    I hate Bush!

    Ohboy,
A USAToday poll showed more than a third of Americans support Israel because of the reason I stated. Would you also like quotes from right-wingers that support my claim?

I bet Keith was so specific with that one card because he wants his deluded fans to buy it for him. Keith likes to use his fans, for baseball cards, free ties, sex...

    Colbert,
Your a anti-Christian bigot. The reason Evangelicals and Catholics aupport Israel is because in the Old Testament it said that God gave the land to Jews! Yes there are biblical prophesies that states that Israel must exists again so Jesus returns, but also from the Jewish point Israel must exist for the Messiah to appear. See the link. Also Christians belive that when Jesus returns, Jews will accept him as their messiah. No where does it say they will burn in hell! Your obviously obssed with Christians. If you hate Christians so much, move to France or Iran. We're the majority of this country so tough! Get over it!

    The above post was I

I'm out for the night. But before I go.
Keith Olbermann is Jihad supporting pro-Iran Leftard fool!

"A USAToday poll showed more than a third of Americans support Israel because of the reason I stated."

If you had that poll, I'm sure you'd link it.

Second, and more important, these same folks that you cite above support Israel because it's a democracy, a friend of the US, a homeland for the long suffering Jews, et cetera, et cetera.

The support for the State of Israel among Christian Americans is deep and complex.

To assign _only_ religious or theological reasons for this support is another example of how you folks on the left are ignorant of about 70 million of your fellow Americans.

I like how the NeoCons like to say Olbermann's ideological stance centers around his hatred of Bush , When this blog's very existence is centered around the admin's hatred of Olbermann.

People get angry and begin to hate when they know their views are flawed and are unable to convince their opponents otherwise.

This blog is rife with examples of that every day.

As a previous post so eloquently put it:

    Olbermann Watch:

    2. Christians must disavow Armageddon scenarios. The Christian articulators of these scenarios support Israel not because that state has an inherent right to survive but because Israel plays a central role in the apocalyptic projections of a world ruled by Christ, a world in which there will be no more Israel, no more Judaism and no more Jews. The issue is important since Armageddon theology has been affirmed not only by fringe groups but by Ronald Reagan. Jews must be assured by Christians that they are more than pawns in Christian eschatologies illicitly extracted from Ezekiel or the Book of Revelation.

    There you go.

I see the collective IQ of this board has dropped at least 50 points tonight!

As a christian, how can one believe that one piece of land is any hollier than another. The Jews of Jesus time waited for a conquering king to appear and liberate them and rule the world. Sounds like "some" christians are waiting for the same thing now. He said "my kingdom is not of this world". The body of believers is the new Israel. It doesn't matter if you are a Jew, or a Greek, woman or man. "The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof"... Trying to justify wars and killing in his name will only bring wrath upon us. But you can be sure that because I don't buy the current brand of Christianity that I am labled a secular socialist liberal by people who are ravenous wolves in sheeps clothing.

    Redwolf,
The Jews will be killed and any Jews remaining will convert to Christianity so there will be no jews left.

Reagan sided with Iraq and condemned Israel after it's attack against the nuclear facility. Even the religious right admitted Clinton was popular in Israel. They claim he caused the people to force the government to do what he wanted. But i'm sure the two Israeli's you've talked to is more scientific than anything else.

Keith mentioned my favorite stat tonight:

"655,000 civilians have died in Iraq since the invasion"

Lets take a look at this mathematically:

We'll take the Wikipedia date for the invasion of Iraq as March 30, 2003. That's 8 months (276 days) until January '04... so add 3 years (1095 days), and we get 44 months (1371 days) of involvement.

So according to KO and this "study", in the 1386 days (+15 because today is the 15th) 655,000 Iraqi civilians have died.

That means that AN AVERAGE OF OVER 472 PEOPLE DIE A DAY!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 472 PEOPLE A DAY! Believing this is even possible, is just dumb. Plain and simple. Dumb.

    Donora PA,

"...I don't buy the current brand of Christianity..."

OK. How many "brands" of Christianity are there? Did you buy a previous brand of Christianity? How many brands of Christianity are good? Just lay it all out for us.

By the way, I loved the "ravenous wolves in sheeps clothing" line. You are sounding rather apocolyptic. I thought that was a bad thing.

I know it upsets "Christians" when other "Christians" have an opinion about Christianity that doesn't agree with their version. Lets not pretend that Christianity is a unifoed thing. I have an opinion and so do you about who Christ was and what he wants. You, or others may feel that the land of Israel and the people that call themselves Jews today are the center of Christianity. I say they are important, but I see a bigger picture that includes the whole earth as "his land" and the human race as his "chosen people". Just because I am not a evangelical born again Christian or a Jew, " I am an eatern rite Catholic by the way" doesn't mean to me that I am secular liberal left wing devil. I reserve the right and the privalige to disagree with a very worldly and materialistic version of Christianity that really doesn't respect the Jews for who they are right now as much as for who they were and who they think they will be.

    A couple of observations.
Donora PA is like an oasis in the parched desert at this site.

And good to see Dr. Lapdog( cee) broke down and got his basic cable package updated in order to watch Countdown so he can chime in here with the other sheep.
Did you need to take out a loan for the increase in your cable package, but just raise your fees to your patients ?

That extra 10 bucks a month must have been hard on you.
Maybe we can take up a collection on this site, to help you defray the costs, Cee .

BTW, I particularly like the segment tonite with Rajiv.
This correspondent has spent more time in Iraq than almost anyone but the troops themselves.
What he says has credibility, much more than politicians flying in for a few days, hiding out in their isolated, totally protected areas and then going back home and speaking like they know what's going on in Iraq.

Another credible source of information about this war has come from a few excellent documentaries by imbedded reporters that have been in the heat of battle.
The tell a totally different story than you'll hear from this administration or Fox News which is actually one in the same.
    Getting back to Rajiv tonite...
He is bewildered how this new surge..er escalation...ah...augmentation is actually going to ...ah ...WORK.
Stating how it's very possible that it would make the Civil War even worse, seemed more realistic than all of the pie in the sky scenarios we've been hearing from Bush and his puppets.

Watching the death counts rise will be very tough to take. Observing the "noses" growing on the Pinochios will be the only minor consolation.

Rico is much better at trying to point the finger at other people and ask them what they are for then he is explaining what he is for. As far as me being too angry to be a Christian, you have not a clue what being a Christian means if you are not angry at people who take the Lords name in vain by invoking him in a nationalistic pridefull and vengefull war that was a political ploy that backfired and now is a killing field.

Rico may not be a good Christian but he is certainly a good republican.

    Ha !

It was once considered Americans' patriotic duty: enduring extraordinary tax
increases in wartime to help finance the fight. Not today. Iraq is the only
major US conflict, except for the 1846-48 Mexican-American War, in which
citizens haven't been asked to make a special financial sacrifice. President
Chimpy opposes tax increases, even as the costs escalate far beyond
predictions and he calls for more troops.

Just pass the debt onto future generations...yeah...that's the ticket !
Being a republican means never having to say you're sorry.( about bankrupting a country or starting wars.)

Nothing like getting lectured about guts from a guy whose idea of hunting is to go to a private club and shoot cage-raised birds. And yet that's what we got Sunday, when Dick Cheney was brought above ground, re-animated and rolled into Fox News, to tell America we need to have the "stomach to finish the task in Iraq."

It was especially interesting to compare and contrast Darth Cheney's gut check with the president's comments later on 60 Minutes, when he said he didn't watch the entire Saddam hanging video. Didn't stay for the icky part--you know, the part when the guy he spent billions of dollars and thousands of lives to have killed actually was killed. "They could have handled it a lot better," Mr. Bush said.

Odds are the warrior in chief won't be watching the video of Monday's hangings, either, especially the part where Saddam's half brother was accidentally decapitated by the apparent ineptitude of the local hangman.

Let's see...what exactly are we supposed to have "the stomach" for?
    Three thousand dead Americans...
    22 thousand wounded Americans...
Hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis...
And as part of an "important milestone" for the new Iraqi nation, three truly horrific, brutal executions that cannot help but bring shame by association to the people of the US.

On the other hand, maybe I'm making too much of this whole Iraq nightmare. After all, Cheney did tell us just this Sunday that "we have, in fact, made enormous progress" there.

Which reminds me, when Cheney testifies in the Scooter Libby trial, will they even bother to swear him in? Will anybody on a jury believe that he's capable of telling the truth?

THis site looks considerbaly gayer since the last time I was here. Kudos and stay safe. ;)

Being a Dem means never being afraid to ask for more taxes....
    Hmmmmmmmm

Are you afraid the country is cash poor?

Don't think that Cheney has much humor but if he did he would use the great line: Depends on what the definition of is, is.

I saw something funny this morning at the c-store.

Somebody with Jersey license plate get out of their car look at the fuel pump and go "Now what do I do?"

Are you afraid the country is cash poor?

No, but I'm sure the dems are trying to spend like theres now tomorrow.

    Just how stupid is Puck?

The past 6 years, his president never vetoed one single spending bill. The last time we had a balanced budget was under a Democratic president.
Does he have amnesia or has senility set in ?

puck loves to forget the failures of the psat 6 years.
    Puck's an idiot.

The federal deficit has improved significantly in the first three months of the new budget year, helped by a continued surge in tax revenues.

In its monthly budget report, the Treasury Department said Friday that the deficit from October through December totaled $80.4 billion (EUR 62.36 billion), the smallest imbalance for the first three months of a budget year since 2002. The budget year ends Sept. 30.

Tax collections are running 8.2 percent higher than a year ago while government spending is up by just 0.7 percent from a year ago. Last year's spending totals were boosted by significant payments to help the victims of the Gulf Coast hurricanes.

The Treasury said for December, the government actually ran a surplus of $44.5 billion (EUR 34.51 billion), the largest surplus ever recorded in December and a gain that reflected a big jump in quarterly corporate tax payments.

The $80.4 billion (EUR 62.36 billion) deficit for the first three months of the current budget year was down 32.6 percent from the imbalance for the same period a year ago of $119.4 billion (EUR 92.61 billion).

The neo-nuts are touting a decrease in the massive federal deficit, completely forgetting which party ran up the deficit in the first place.
Under Bill Clinton, there was a surplus. Bush squandered that surplus in the first 7 months of his presidency BEFORE 9/11. So you morons can't even say it was b/c of the war.
    You got nothing...as usual.

    Whatever

First I'm registered an independent. While I guess you belong to "The kool-aid Party" nice try. How do you know he's my president? Did you see me walk into the booth to vote?

Nice try but I've heard that one before.

So just how stupid are you?

Shithead- Why start your research after research on Bush's watch. If you did unbiased research you would find the economy was trending down before Bush took over AND clinton had already started burning off the surplus. So f---ing dumb and biased its insane!

First I'm registered an independent. While I guess you belong to "The kool-aid Party" nice try. How do you know he's my president? Did you see me walk into the booth to vote?

Puck is trying to pretend that he's not a asskissing Bush apologist.
No Puck, you didn't vote for George Bush, and we're winning the war in Iraq and don't have a massive debt either.

Puck is a stone cold idiot....and liar.

    You know whatever

It must be funny, I'm free to watch and listen to what I want.

You on the other hand can watch what you want to hear.

You must be one of those nut-jobs that brought a "Foxnews Blocker" for your t.v. a few years ago. Because Fox News scares you.

If I ever find out where you live I'm gona fly my plane over and drop "Factor golf shirts" on your front yard.

Wait, you don't live in section 8 housing, do you?

Bush entered office WITH A SURPLUS:FACT.

He turned that surplus into a deficit within the first few months of his presidency: FACT.

Even though he has run up this deficit, he hasn't vetoed a single spending bill:FACT

HE cannot pay for his War in Iraq and is passing the bill onto future generations:FACT

ALL YOU GOT IS GOP PROPAGANDA : FACT

    "because Fox News Scares you"

Need I say anymore of Puck's grip on reality ?

Fox news: We report, We decide.

    Stone Cold idiot !

PROPAGANDA is living in a vaccum like you.
    I don't make excuses for Bush's non-conservative
spending- But this SURPLUS was essentially
non exsistant when he started. That is a fact that
you try to delute with other BS. You work for MSNBC?

Oh am I making you mad?

are you starting to say bad words, calm down take a chill pill, so I guess in you're world as long as they don't think in lockstep with you and Keith their RW'S?

Puck is a stone cold idiot....

Now,Now Richard Cory took that word out of the New Jersey State Constitution. Remember la,la,la,. It's a feel good thing.

    and a liar! liar! liar!

Okay I'll play you're dopey little game.

    And you're stupid,stupid,stupid,

How come I feel I'm matching wits with somebody from day care.

In response to the religious bigotry from OZ (Colbert) and Donora, I would like to present a nice little story from CNN about "an ark," an embryo and Hurricane Katrina....

    "Tiniest Katrina survivor finally born"

COVINGTON, Louisiana (AP) -- The parents of an embryo rescued from a flooded and sweltering hospital during the tumultuous weeks after Hurricane Katrina welcomed Noah Markham on Tuesday morning.

The boy was born by Caesarean section at 7:23 a.m. CT (8:23 a.m. ET) at St. Tammany Hospital. Before the procedure, his mother, Rebekah Markham, had decided on the name -- provided the baby was a boy -- "because God put it on his heart to build an ark."

When Katrina struck, the baby was one of 1,400 embryos frozen for storage in canisters of liquid nitrogen at a hospital in eastern New Orleans.

Rebekah Markham, 32, had evacuated before the hurricane with their toddler, Glen Witter "Witt" Markham Jr. Her husband, a New Orleans police officer, stayed to work.

Dr. Belinda "Sissy" Sartor of The Fertility Institute of New Orleans and the clinic's lab director, Roman Pyrzak, had led seven Illinois Conservation Police officers and three from Louisiana State Police on a rescue expedition to the facility in flat-bottomed boats brought from Illinois.

Witt is also an in-vitro baby. His embryo was created at the same time as his brother's, but it was implanted immediately, while five others were frozen in case of miscarriage -- and because the Markhams always wanted more than one child.

They're not sure whether they'll have a third.

"I thought three would be the ideal number," Rebekah Markham has said. But her medical problems have required bedrest for the first three months of each pregnancy. "And I was even more sick with this one than with Witt."

They also needed a lot of family help to take care of Witt, a boy who never seems to stop running. So any decision probably will be postponed until both children are in school.

Well, I guess Will and Noah were not considered property when they were embryos....hence the humanistic characterizations.....

But again...if the sources of their gamates (their parents) had CHOSEN differently?......

    a world of contradictions

Puck thinks he's matching wits .
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    "But this SURPLUS was essentially
non exsistant when he started. That is a fact that
you try to delute with other BS."

Essentially ! How funny is that.
The fact remains Bush inherited a surplus and turned it into a deficit faster than you can say Puck is an idiot.

Puck is still trying to defend the failed GOP agenda.
He still doesn't get why the GOP lost both houses of COngress.
Oh, and Puke has a plane.
    How funny is that !
    I'm impressed.

Like I said, you got nothing.

    "essentially non existent !"

This guy is a comedian.Lame one, but his points are laughable .
Still trying to cover for his incompetent president.

And he's trying to disguise that he voted for Bush.

    Great stuff, Puck.

Tell us about Katrina, Cee, and how your president left his vacation and went to help the people in need.

    Oh, that's right, he didn't.

    Cee, another stone cold idiot.

Forever and a day will Bush's legacy will be that he hired an Arabian Horse Show organizer as FEMA head. The funny part is that he was fired from that job, and Bush still hired him at this important post.

New Orleans is still a disaster area, while Bush continues make Iraq a disaster area.

My God, how these idiots love to spin their bullshit. !

    What a dope!!!!!

    Gotta go!!! Bye-bye!!!!!

"New Orleans is still a disaster area...."

Bush is bad- his energy policy caused the hurricane.
Bush is worse- he failed to evacuate all those poor souls.
Bush is worser- he failed get aid their quick enough. (true)
Bush is worsest- he has failed to spend enough money to raise a city that is under sea level devastated by unprecedented flooding in record time.

    Spare me.

Do you hear how idiotic it is to blame ALL of Katrina on one man? You need to move on loser.

Everything the Left says is Bush, Bush, Bush.
Is he God or the center of the universe? I really wish he would disappear so I don't have to hear that name or these whiney Leftards keep talking about Bush, Bush, Bush!

    Red Wolf,

Bush is the one responsible for the war, the economy, all of our diplomacy, trade agreements, etc...

The fact that you cannot bring yourself to hear about him is a sad thing. Perhaps you should grow a spine and listen to what is going on in your country...

Did I mention George Bush in my last post?....Why does the left have to change the subject?....Mmmm....I won't answer my own guestion again, however easy and tempting it is to, but wow...blankman just can't stay on point.

Just like Kurt and his worry about the deficit....blankman believes the federal government is the end all be all nanny for us all.

Just a reminder, Kurt....the surplus was created by the increase in taxes on us all....I have been able to keep a lot more of my own, hard earned money for the past 7 years and I spend it a lot better then the liberals in government.

The average US taxpayer pays much more of a percentage of his earnings in taxes than at anytime, including wartime! Social Security (which in reality is a tax...not a pension plan) as an entitlement program is also a huge chunk of money the federal government gets to play with as well....so shut up about fiscal policy....both federal government repubs and dems have been fast and loose with the money. This is the government we have allowed to come to being over the past 60 years.

"Bush is the one responsible for the war, the economy, all of our diplomacy, trade agreements, etc..."

The economy? I didn't know we had a command and control economy! That's news to me! If that's the case the economy is pretty good. Especially here in Florida. I'm make more money and living better than ever.
That being said. Bush unlike you on the Left isn't the center of my life!
Hey how come no anger towrds our enemies like Ahmadinejad, Al-Qaeda or Hugo Chavez? They're swell guys right?

    Red Wolf,

Bush, in case you missed the election, is president. Ignorant remarks about "command and control economy" don't mean anything when you've got the federal government involved with things like trade agreements and setting interest rates.

Al-Qaeda is a criminal group. Speaking against them would be stupid, like saying that Hitler was a bad man every time that I post. Hugo Chavez DOES seem to be a fairly "swell" guy compared to some of the losers that you neocons support (remember Pinochet and Haiti's Poppa and Baby Doc?)...

Male Pundit Said Too Fat to Have Sex
By SUTIN Wannabeborn, Associated Press Writer

    Tue Jan 16, 2:51 AM

Rush Limbaugh the Pundit is just too heavy to have sex.

US authorities have put him on a strict diet as part of a long-running campaign to get him to mate with a female partner.

"Rush is gaining weight too fast and we found women are no longer comfortable with having sex with him," said an unnamed US official, adding that Rush Limbaugh weighed 331 pounds while the average female weight is only 130 pounds.

As a result, US authorities are cutting out OxyContin pills in the daily meal for Rush Limbaugh and giving the obese man only bamboo leaves, the official said.

The diet plan is the latest in an unsuccessful and often strange campaign by US officials to get the the pundit to mate.

They have held a mock wedding, given Rush Viagra, and even talked of introducing pundit porn _ videos of other pundits mating to get the pundit in the mood.

So far nothing has seemed to work. Thank God!

    Cee,

Clinton raised taxes slightly on the top earners; then, he cut spending. By the end of Clinton's term, the average federal tax rate was lower than Reagan's or Bush's...

"Hugo Chavez DOES seem to be a fairly "swell" guy compared to some of the losers that you neocons support (remember Pinochet and Haiti's Poppa and Baby Doc?)..."

Pinochet created the enviornment that led Chile to become the most modern country in all of Latin America. He implemented market reforms that have benefitted Chile. He also put hims3elf up to a vote and lost. He respected the will of the people and resigned. Chile today owes much to that man.
Who do think is better off Chile or Venezuela?
    I'll take Chile.
But like a typicql racist Lefty you want Latin America to remain poor and destitue. That's why you support Chavez because his policies will bankrupt Venezuela. Let's see Venezuela 20 years from now.
Who will be better Chile or Venezuela? Want to take a pick?
As for the neo-Con slur, I'm a Nationalist, not neo-convict!

It was the democratic congress that increased taxes on the rich and Clinton began cutting spending in the executive branch while waiting for the Republicans to start cutting their budgets. Learn American history. It's the least that you can do...

In reviewing all of today's comments, one thing is perfectly clear:

Those who whose politics is driven by their own wallet seem to be right wingers. Those who are more concerned about the direction of the country than they are about how they themselves are personally doing are more to the left.

Check it out yourself...go back and read all the comments; if you were to strictly go by these people themselves are saying on this very discussion board, then you would have to conclude that right wingers are selfish and left wingers are more concerned about their country.

    Which is more admirable?

"Chile today owes much to that man."

Including a 17-year reign of terror that resulted in tens of thousands of people being tortured and thousands more simply "disappearing". In fact, the current President of Chile was one of Pinochet's torture victims. Pinochet himself accepted responsibility for the abuses of his administration.

I'm sorry, Red Wolf, but the ends don't justify the means here.

If you criticize Faux News, you're a terrorist?

    HMMMMMmmmmmmmm......

    Scared and imBalanced indeed!

"Clinton began cutting spending in the executive branch while waiting for the Republicans to start cutting their budgets."

In case you forgot, Clinton didn't have a Balanced budget plan until the Republicans in 95 produced theirs. He originally was going to leave the defecit at 200 Billion because it was a low % of GDP. When the GOp produced their balanced budget plan, remember the Leftwing media and Dems in congress began by saying Republicans were going to starve school children and the elderly? Clinton then came yp with a 7 year plan. Because of theta deadlock and the stock market boom, the budget balanced itself!
If you haven't noticed the defecit is going dowm. It's 33% less than last year. At this rate it''l be back in balance by 2009.

As for your Pinochet comment, he did what he had to do. Hey how about the people your buddy Castro killed. He killed more than Pinochet.
Or how about your Leftist idols like Pol Pot, Mao and Stalin? Because they're on the Left they get a pass right?

    Ensign Expendable,
What about Castro? He's killed more people than Pinochet! In fact that's what America needs is a Pinochet! I admire what he did. He cleaned his country up and now it's a modern nation. It just bothers the Left that a Latin nation is 1st world status. I mean us Hispanics need the Anglos to help us. We can't do it on our own. We're an oppressed minority! Wew need Anglo guidance! That's why I'm glad I live in Miami!
We proved we don;'t need you stinking Progressives to advance. That's why you guys hate Cuban-Americans. They're one minority that told you guys to shove it! God bless them for that!

Clinton had to work with a Republican congress that had no concept of a balanced budget. In the interests of compromise, his budgets were not balanced; however, they were closer than Bush's ever were. You might want to recall that the Republicans were, even then, more anxious to cut taxes on the rich than to balance the budget.

As for you love of Pinochet, it seems that Castro must be more your style than mine. Even Saddam Hussein, by your admission, did what he had to do. Chavez has held regular elections and those elections have been auditted. You are just whining because Chavez is using his resources for his own country and not to make an outside superpower even richer.

Pretty sad when your logic is all twisted up so that you really don't know what you beleive, eh?...

My father fought in the Korean War.

I have two brothers that have served in the Military.

My best friend has been to Iraq twice as an Infantryman.

Yeah, I must love Terrorists. Dead Wolf, if that's what you need to believe to reconcile my views about Faux News, great...whatever helps you sleep at night.

I would think someone who hates Iran as much as you would be leary of a news outlet that acts as a mouthpiece of the government.

Look into the mirror, you might be surprised at what you see.

    Johnny Scholar,
I know, I mean the Iranians they're swell people. That Mahmoud Ahamdinejad is such an astute History major. He claims the holocaust never happened! What a great guy!

    "Johnny Scholar,
I know, I mean the Iranians they're swell people. That Mahmoud Ahamdinejad is such an astute History major. He claims the holocaust never happened! What a great guy!"

    Anti-Fox doesn't mean Pro-Iran.

But thanks for letting everyone know about your simplistic worldview.

Chavez is just creating a dependent class. He's also now sayimng he's going to govern by Presidential decree. He's also out lawing opposition newspapers and TV. He's putting private companies under governmnet control.
He's also now praising Lenin! I'll take Pinochet any day of the week!
He you get so worked up about Pinochet, hoe about Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot. They were Leftists so they get a pass right?
Pinochet is the man, America needs one!

Keith Olbermann is Pro-Iran. His last special comments he was defending that regime. Like all Leftists the only religious people you like are Muslims, right?

You know what there's no point in even discussing this.
You come from an Internationalist Globalist Socialistic philosophy.
I come from a Nationalistic America 1st philosophy. We're getting no where with this so why bother?
I caome here to discuss Olbermann's Pro-Islamic Leftist propaganda. His denials of bias and his hypocritical attacks on people for dong the same thing he does!

    Red Wolf,

Actually, if the government of Venzuala were still a puppet of American oil industy, then they would be a dependent class...all of them. Amazing that murder is okay with you. Sadly for what you think is an argument, I don't advocate murder and therefore do not advocate Stalin or Mao or Pol Pot...

You see, you girls who whine "America first" simply mean "Gimmee". You are the same people that steal from Americans when given the chance...as Bush/Cheney have so deftly done.

You truly aren't very bright, son...

Republicans say; "who cares if we can't pay for the war I support so much....my taxes are lower".

    The politics of personal selfishness!

    "Keith Olbermann is Pro-Iran."

I am not Keith Olbermann. You don't even know whether I like Olbermann. You just know I don't like Faux.

"Like all Leftists the only religious people you like are Muslims, right?"

Now, I'm a 'Leftist?' According to what? I don't like or dislike people based on their religion. That's your game.

"You know what there's no point in even discussing this."

Yeah, if I were you, I'd feel the same way.

"You come from an Internationalist Globalist Socialistic philosophy."

I do? Just because I don't like Faux. My, that's a broad brush your painting with.

"We're getting no where with this so why bother?"

I bother because I think it's important people see you for what you really are.

When all your enemies start to look the same...

So let me get this straight, the libs who post here are whining because Bush has reduced the deficit in recent months?

    Nice strawman KAF!

.Okay so for free thinking people with A BRAIN! We can look at something on Fox News and decide is it real or B.S.

The brain damaged Puck tries to insinuate that Fox news isn't a biased news channel.
Many Fox employees have been fired for NOT slanting the news in the GOP's favor.
But Puck hasn't quite caught on to their charade yet.

    nuff said.

This website is the dumbest piece of trash I have EVER seen!!

    f--- all of you Republitards!!!

Many Fox employees have been fired for NOT slanting the news in the GOP's favor.

    KAF is DOA..again.

Is that what you got from the conversation , moron?

    I'll summarize for you.
The wing nuts are cheering that the deficit has dropped a bit.
Completely forgetting who ran it up in the first place.
Bush has been the most fiscally irresponsible president, ever.
He continues to raise our debt by spending money for a war he can't pay for.

    Got it ?

Republicans say; "who cares if we can't pay for the war I support so much....my taxes are lower".

    The politics of personal selfishness!....

    WRONGO!

Um...my taxes are not lower than what people payed in 1942, 1968, 1974....so go stick it....

The federal government is now a very large and inefficient distributer of entitlements.....

    Social Security
    Medicare
    Medicaid
Grants for all sorts of wonderful things

National Security/Defense....the MAIN reason we were to have a federal government in the first place....is not the main consumer of my tax dollar....it is the money that is sent back to me, you, my mother, my father and every other American who now relies on mommy Washington to live.

Oh yeah...and BTW...and as a physician, my "salary" is mostly paid by my biggest payor.....MEDICARE!

I never thought I would become a federal employee.

Don't take anymore of my money so that the liberal ruling class can increase discretionary spending and tell me it is for the "war."

Don't tell me Liberal lies....those sweet little Liberal lies....go Mac....

    >>Many Fox employees have been fired for NOT slanting the news in the GOP's favor.

    >>Who??

    Jane Akre and Steve Wilson

KAF spewed: "so let me get this straight, the libs who post here are whining because Bush has reduced the deficit in recent months?"....

Get this everybody, this ridiculous strawman argument is from someone who has been claiming that he is a 'liberal' who just happens to dislike Olbermann!

    LOL!

Republicans say; "let em keep gittin killed over there so they don't come after ME over here"....

See the video, Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism !

"For the first time ever, this documentary reveals the secrets of Former Fox news producers, reporters, bookers and writers who expose what it's like to work for Fox News. These former Fox employees talk about how they were forced to push a "right-wing" point of view or risk their jobs. Some have even chosen to remain anonymous in order to protect their current livelihoods. As one employee said "There's no sense of integrity as far as having a line that can't be crossed."

"Outfoxed" examines how media empires, led by Rupert Murdoch's Fox News, have been running a "race to the bottom" in television news. This film provides an in-depth look at Fox News and the dangers of ever-enlarging corporations taking control of the public's right to know.

"Outfoxed" first examines media mogul Rupert Murdoch and the Australian company, News Corp., tracing how the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) helped Murdoch break the rules to establish a fourth network in the United States. The film explores Murdoch's burgeoning kingdom and the impact on society when a broad swath of media is controlled by one person.

Media experts, including Jeff Cohen (FAIR), Bob McChesney and Chellie Pingree, provide context and guidance for the story of Fox News and its effect on society.

The team behind "Outfoxed" created a system to monitor Fox News 24 hours a day for months to discover exactly how its shows worked. A team of volunteers around the country scrutinized every hour of Fox News programming, noting examples of bias in its coverage. The result is an intense examination of Fox News and the lie inherent in its favorite motto: "Fair and Balanced."

There has been so much biased reporting on this channel that it is now not even considered to be an eye opener any longer.
It's an established fact that Fox News is a totally slanted channel that gets their talking points directly from the White HOuse.

Condi Rice proudly exclaimed just last week:" I love my Fox News Boys, every one of them !"

The ignorance of the right wingers never fail to amaze me !

I'm out of Zoloft. I'm going nuts. I am foaming at the mouth. I am making no sense as a I ramble on incomprehensibly. I am in the perfect frame of mind for another Speshul Komment.

As Ronald Reagan, used to say, "There you go again, Cee,"
Cee forgets who has been responsible for the purse strings the past 6 years.
No Cee, the war isn't causing us huge amounts of money !
The war is bankrupting this country b/c we don't have the money to pay for it.

    Cee, totally discredited, again.

Republicans say; "who cares if New Orleans is still a host town, I have my very own aeroplane!..."

    The politics of personal selfishness!

Maybe if I can get enough of my bootlickers and asskissers to tell lies about Fox, people will be distracted and no one will notice that I refuse to allow dissenting points of view on Meltdown and that I will not admit that I am a left fringe cheerleader while claiming to be unbiased. I see that my useful idiots are out in force today.

"So let me get this straight, the libs who post here are whining because Bush has reduced the deficit in recent months"

Because it is a FALSE SAVINGS - we saved a little NOW, but the Congressional Budget Office is predicting that by the end of the fiscal year the deficit will be 15% HIGHER than last year (or around $280 billion), while the Administrations bean-counters put it at $339 billion.

China now holds somewhere in the neighborhood of a TRILLION dollars of our national debt. What would happen if they "called the note"? Economic disaster. And yet we're handing out even MORE of these promissary notes to finance a war that we were told was going to pay for itself!

I wish I had the courage that Fox commentators have to bring on dissenting points of view, but I would end up looking more foolish than I already do.

Republicans say; "the deficit is a little lower than it was....now cut my taxes again!"

    The politics of personal selfishness!

The British is withdrawing 3,000 troops from Iraq in May.
What ever became of the Coalition of the Willing ?

It's too easy poking holes in the RWer's POV !

"Maybe if I can get enough of my bootlickers and asskissers to tell lies about Fox".

Name one lie told about Fox.

I caught our Johnny Dollar in a lie...he said that Keith was lying about the Iraq surge being in the command of an Iraqi general.
It's one of Saddam's generals to be exact.
Can't remember his name but it was reported in the NYT the after after Bush's speech.

"I wish I had the courage that Fox commentators have to bring on dissenting points of view, but I would end up looking more foolish than I already do."

Beat it, troll. You're not amusing anyone. Go back to slumming with the freepers.

Hello, my name is George Bush. I have a new plan for Iraq. All the other ones have failed miserably but this one will work.
    Trust me !

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha h

And the neo-nuts actually have the nerve to come here and post.

You beat it a--hole. This is an Olbermann site and I am defending myself. Defend me or say something that pertains to me or go jerk off with your buddies at Kos.

It is not nice to call keith a troll.

    Bushkill Falls and anti-Fox people,
You guys have CNN, MSNBC, CBS News, NBC News, ABC news, Time Magazine, Newsweek The Washington Post, The NY Times, The LA Times and hosts of other papers.
We have Fox news, Wall St. Jornal and a few minor papers. Why does FOX bother you. You guys have a mojority of the Media. So what's your gripe. The other outlets follow DNC talking points. Get over it!

    Bushkill,

It's ok that you ignored my post about entitlement spending being the majority of the funds distributed by the federal government...

Your ideology prohibits the process of being objective and seeing that runaway spending on liberal idols is the real reason for the return of deficits.

I would much rather borrow money for the war which is what the feds should be doing under our Constitution then give the federal political ruling class CASH from my pocket to waste.

This is yet another straw man argument that has no legs....BTW...who disrupted Social Security Reform in 2005?....it wasn't the Republicans...

It was the Democrats who demogogued the issue...spreading fear that people would be homeless and eating cat food if Social Security TAXES were reduced and people allowed to invest their own hard earned money.

Ah, Red Wolf is back with more stupidity. Thinking that the newspapers and stations he mentioned are liberal. Like most neocons, Red Wolf sees any paper that tells the truth as "liberal", because, as Stephen Colbert stated, "The truth has a liberal bias"...

Republicans say; "sure, why not? Lets gamble way a couple of thousand more American lives on the admittantly slim chance we can turn this thing around with a 'surge'...."

    The politics of personal selfishness!

Five years ago, the Bush administration decided to severely limit federal financing for embryonic stem cell research, a move that set off vigorous competition among the states to provide support for a research field that many scientists say could bring about major medical advances.

New Jersey was first out of the gate, pledging millions of dollars for stem cell research in the state. California raised the stakes with a huge $3 billion bond initiative, and other states followed with ballot initiatives or legislation to give scientists grants or to build research centers. Those efforts, supporters promised, would also bring in new jobs and tax revenue.

I applaud our states for taking up for the void left by Bush and his neanderthal views on stem cell research.

    Mr Noname,
    If I'm a neocon then you're a neoCommunist!

Ah steven colbert- your genius and hero... it says it all!
Journalism with slant OR humor- I'll take them both!
    Shows your true biased assed!

Personally, I'm glad Faux News exists.

It serves a very valuable purpose.

It's not there intended purpose, but a very good purpose nonetheless.

Cee:I would much rather borrow money for the war which is what the feds should be doing under our Constitution then give the federal political ruling class CASH from my pocket to waste.

Of course cee would rather throw away billions on a war that is not working than put the money in this country where it could actually help our citizens.

Cee, a real doozy of a republican !

"I would much rather borrow money for the war which is what the feds should be doing under our Constitution then give the federal political ruling class CASH from my pocket to waste."

If it wasn't for that "wasteful" spending on Medicare, cee, I WOULD BE DEAD! No insurance company will cover me because of my permanent disability without slapping a "rider" forcing me to PAY FULL PRICE for treatment related to my disability (roughly $12,000 A MONTH).

Medicare kept me from losing my life, so if you don't like it you can sit on it an spin, you tool.

"The truth has a liberal bias"

Ha ha what a joke. Are you kidding me! You mean like the Left's support of Iran and Hizballah! So the holocaust didn't happen according to your logic. The Left thinks it has a monopoly on truth. Hey if the Left is so truthful why don't you guys discuss the Islamic riots in France? Or how about Ahmadinejad saying the US, Israel and UK will disappear? Is that truthful?

Red Wolf, no one takes you seriously.

Your points are null and void as soon as they hit the computer.

"We have Fox, you have everything else "

    Funny stuff !

    EE- True liberal
Spend money on me!- nothing else!

    Red Wolf,

Why not take a look at CNN right now and tell me where the bias is, son? What? Cannot back up your statement?

That is what makes you a neocon...

Ha ha what a joke. Are you kidding me! You mean like the Left's support of Iran and Hizballah!

Big Bad red Wolf thinks that b/c we don't want a war with Iran that we support them.

Calling Dr.Jones.Patient needs lobotomy. Stat !

Idiot- CNN is left of MSNBC

    Bushkill Falls,
Like you're taken seriously. You get upset over one Right leaning network when you have more than we do! A true Stalinist, silence those who disagree with you!

I like the "vigorous competition among states". If there was federal money some old political hack would have put an earmark on a bill so their state would have gotten alot of money. Actually who would gain financially from embryonic stem cell research? Financially big pharmacutical companies would make huge money from any break throughs.

    EE- True liberal
Spend money on me!- nothing else!

No, let's give it to the oil companies, Big Pharma and Halliburton.

Screw the people in the USA>

You people are dumb, dumb , dumb.

What makes you more deserving of my tax money?
    Blinded by your own dumbness

    > I caught our Johnny Dollar in a lie....he said that Keith was lying about the Iraq surge being in the command of an Iraqi general. It's one of Saddam's generals to be exact.

When it comes to catching people telling lies, OlbyLoons should not try this at home. That leads to ignorant statements like the above. Keith claimed our troops would be under the command of an Iraqi General. His source was the New York Times article, which doesn't say that at all. It says that Iraq and US Generals will be working in partnership; Maj. Gen. Joseph F. Fil Jr commands the US forces. It does NOT say that US troops are under the command of the Iraqi General, who in fact commands Iraqi forces. Olby himself contradicted his lie when he quoted Peter Pace, so I don't see why even OlbyLoons are trying to pretend otherwise.

    > Name one lie told about Fox.

Oh, please. The archives are full of 'em. Herr Olbermann has lied about everyone from Bill O'Reilly to Gibson to Brit Hume. He'd lie about the Fox cleaning woman if his blue blog buddies told him to.

Actually who would gain financially from embryonic stem cell research? Financially big pharmacutical companies would make huge money from any break throughs.

People who will die w/o a cure would benefit. So we should screw them b/c Big Pharma will make money?

    How stupid are you ?

What makes you more deserving of my tax money?
    Blinded by your own dumbness.

But you have no problem giving oil companies tax breaks with your taxes?

    Love to hear your ansawer.

I actually drove my car to work today. If you road your bike- you have a right to bitch. Otherwise shaddup.

Oh, please. The archives are full of 'em. Herr Olbermann has lied about everyone from Bill O'Reilly to Gibson to Brit Hume.

Keith or anyone else doesn't have to make up lies on these douchebags. They discredit themselves on a daily basis, all by themselves.

Republicans say; "who cares if millions of Americans cannot afford basic health care or insurance, and many, many, many thousands of others have been bankrupted by medical expenses...!"

    "I got mine!"

    The politics of personal selfishness!

EE...I am glad you are alive...but if you did the research and looked at what the federal government spent to help you (a great thing), the final bill was likely more than double it really had to be (a bad thing)...especially if you have spent anytime in a hospital or rehab/nursing home facility.

Have you ever totalled up your bills, EE? Multiply it by about 60 Million recepients and you will see that it is a very inefficient way to run things. Your state and local government should be running these entitlement programs for the elderly and infirmed....more oversight, less administration and much more accountability.

And your touching personal story in no way addresses the liberal lie that defense/war spending is the cause of the federal deficit or why I pay a higher percentage of taxes now then a middle class individual did in other wars.

Also, do you have family, EE? In pre-Medicare/Social Security society a MAJORITY of families took care of their elderly and sick members with regards to feeding, personal care and the like....at home. Now, these functions cannot be served by most family members because of multiple reasons (need for dual incomes, mobile society, etc) and the simple fact that the government has become such a large part of the family.

The erosion of the traditional family that took care of the young, old and infirmed has required government programs be developed and funded to replace the loving care once thought duty to people.

Another result of secular humanist thinking....but hey, with all we have to do, who's got time to take care of Grandpa?

Wow! I offer dumb neocons a chance to prove how liberal CNN is and they run like little baby girls.

    Sad really...

"I actually drove my car to work today. If you road your bike- you have a right to bitch. Otherwise shaddup."

Thank you for making a fool of yourself.

Giving the oil companies billions in tax breaks when they are making record profits as it is, makes sense to this idiot.
As does the money down the drain in Iraq, and the other big corporations.

    This idiot deserves a song.

Bob Dylan wrote one just for you:

Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your mouth,
Blowing down the backroads headin' south.
Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth,
    You're an idiot, babe.
It's a wonder that you still know how to breathe.

"I actually drove my car to work today. If you road your bike - you have a right to bitch, otherwise shaddup!"...

Typical selfish Republican thought process. It's ALL about how it affects you or me PERSONALLY. The hell with everybody, and everything else, just as long as we're doing OK ourslves!

    The politics of pesonal selfishness!

Where doi you want me to begin.
Last summer CNN's cheerleading of Hizabbalh, Before the Fall elections CNN's cheerleading of Democrats. CNN's trumpeting of Hillary Clinton! CNN leans Left ( Nothing wrong with that).
By the way do you know Neocons are Trotskyites? I don't subscribe to that. You just repeat whatever your Stalinist George Soros funded sites tell you Neocon, neocon, neocon!
You don't even know the term. So your not a very well informed person. Just a idiot with a Bush/Fox/Neocon obsession.

The erosion of the traditional family that took care of the young, old and infirmed has required government programs be developed and funded to replace the loving care once thought duty to people.

Another result of secular humanist thinking.

There goes Cee again, making a total fool of himself.

    "Secular humanist thinking"

    LOL

    "The politics of pesonal selfishness!"

Will, I'm going to have to disagree with you to a degree. It's okay to be selfish about what we need to survive - food, clothing, shelter, medicine, etc.

"But you have no problem giving oil companies tax breaks with your taxes?"

That I will agree with you on. I don't think the these Globalsit traitorous corporations should recive special tax breaks or subsidies! I also think companies that outsource jobs should be taxed whatever profits they make!

    Red Wolf,

Find a dictionary (preferably English), look up proof, and then post your proof that CNN was slanting news in favor of Hizballah, Clinton, etc...

Then, why not tell me why you think that a neocon follows Trotsky...

So far, it seems that you might have a problem understanding how people debate. Good luck!

Abrams: Maybe you should run something about MLK.

Olbermann: I run this damn show! OJ is what I want to talk about.

A pillar of secular humanism is self fulfillment/realization a priori....This renamed narcissism fits well with the tendency of people to only care about their own well being. This has resulted in the gradual abandonment of the nuclear family.

If you would like to debate rationally, I would be more than happy to...but I limit my remarks to anonymous insults and "LOL."

Red Wolf doesn't own a dictionary...and I'm sure he doesn't know where the public library is in his town.

"Then, why not tell me why you think that a neocon follows Trotsky..."

Most Neocons wre Trotskites in their youths. They then becam Rightwingers. Howver they still belive in Trotskyite concepts of exporting revolution In this case Democracy. I don't agree with them on that. I belive in destroying your enemies leaving and consequences be damned!

This renamed narcissism fits well with the tendency of people to only care about their own well being. This has resulted in the gradual abandonment of the nuclear family.

Cee describes your average republican to a T,
    right Cee ?

Favor corporations, and the people who send in their political contributions rather than actually helping the citizens of our country.

No better example that the poor in this country has grown each of the last 6 years George Bush has been in office.

    Red Wolf,

You never looked up "proof", did you?

"No better example that the poor in this country has grown each of the last 6 years George Bush has been in office."

Who cares! Are you poor! I grew up poor and I don't feel sorry for them. I got my way out of the Hood, they can do it too!

    Quintesecential liberal gut blows....
We quote the Dylan and Colbert as though we have seen the light. Spare me. Your heros are rich, drug smoking, entertainers, but their words are your gospel. They live in the land of Puff the magic dragon. Pass the pipe.!

What about that Broken Governmnet series that was Pro-Democrat?

"Another result of secular humanist thinking....but hey, with all we have to do, who's got time to take care of Grandpa?"

    Secular Humanism
    –noun
any set of beliefs that promotes human values without specific allusion to religious doctrines.

Cee-Apparently you have been spoon fed Oh Really's propaganda of what a 'secular humanist' is.

See definition above. If Grandpa is a human, then 'secularists' would value him, regardless of religious affiliation and regardless of what you think.

Red Wolf says; "Who cares1 are you poor! I grew up poor and I don't feel sorry for them. I got my way out of the Hood, they can do it to!...."

A typical selfish Republican attitude. Need I say more?

Another example of the politics of personal selfishness!

Cee laments about why his taxes are a "higher percentage than other wars". Even though he is a rabid supporter of this war, he doesn't want to help pay for it.

    The politics of personal selfishness!

    Will,
In life one must look after themselves. It's the natural order of the universe.

    secular humanism
    n.

    1. An outlook or philosophy that advocates human rather than religious values.
    2. Secularism.

Human values. Is that such a bad thing?

    Those evil secularists!

"Will, In life one must look after themselves. It's the natural order of the universe."

I knew Red Wolf would eventually come out against civilization.

    Will,
What I do agree with you on is that people over $200,000 should pay higher taxes. Because we're in a war with Global Islamo-Fascism the top rate should 42%.
For those making over a million the tax rate should be 55%. That means alot of Leftist millionares Like Rosie O'Donnel and George Soros will pay higher taxes. Fair isn't it?

    Its called self determination....
Its not in the democrat's dictionary

    Affirmative Action-Welfare-Military Draft
    Those are!

Red Wolf seems to say whatever comes into his empty little head: "Neocons are Trotskiites", "CNN is liberal"...but, when asked to prove his contentions, he runs like Bush during the Vietnam war...

I've listed proff of CNN's bias but you ran like Clinton did during the Vietnam war!

"Red Wolf seems to say whatever comes into his empty little head: "Neocons are Trotskiites", "

They are of Trotskyite origin and still use that thinking. Read any expose of the Neo-Con movement and it even says that Irving Kristol was a Trotskyite!

Mr no name ran away like Pol Pot's troops!

    Red Wolf,

See, here's the problem: You think that a remark like "Read any expose of the Neo-Con movement and it even says that Irving Kristol was a Trotskyite!" is proof. Post a source (reliable one)...

I cannot believe that I have to explain how to prove something to you.

But you're all bitching about the fact the deficit has been reduced. I guess you want it to run even higher than it was? Yeah, Bush ran it up, no question about that but shouldn't any reduction be a good thing? Yes of course it should be but that's not good enough for some of you here. You must blame Bush for every single thing that goes wrong and in this case, for something that went right--a deficit reduction! If the sun shines, some of you would bitch it's Bush's "fault" and would immediately post a diatribe about how the sun shining was evidence of global warming which of course, is all totally Bush's fault. I know it may come as quite the shock to some of you, but Bush is not responsible for everything that goes wrong in this world anymore than Clinton was when he was president, which is what some right-wingers wanted everyone to believe back then. It was wrong when the right-wingers did it to Clinton and it's just as wrong to blame Bush for everything that goes wrong (and right) as it was for Clinton. There's plenty he is responsible for but getting angry because the deficit was REDUCED???? OH come on.

If you don't know about Irving Kristold' Trotskyite origins then you don't know what a neocon is. You use it because it's the Stalinist way of labeling your supporters! See I was once a Lefty myself, that's why I label you guys Jihad supporters. I know the labeling technique. It's a Bolshvik method that Stalin perfeted. But instead of counter-revolutionary or Bourgeios, it's now Neo-Con. Even though on economic issues I'm a populist,I'm a protectionist and socially very Liberal I'm some how who a neocon. Explain that genious?that?

The name of the site is Olbermannwatch, not Bushwatch. I'd like to see just one thread that didn't immediately veer completely off-topic and could actually stay focused on discussing the many f----ups of Keith Olbermann.

    Red Wolf,

You are indeed full of it. Neocon is simply a way to distinguish between actual conservatives, like Nixon, Goldwater...and those who pretend to be conservatives, like Reagan, Bush and Bush jr.

Just because someone put out an editorial, son, doesn't mean that they've given you facts. By the way, what you posted still wouldn't constitute proof. You must not be very smart, child, because even my nine year old understands what proof is...

I've got to commute home, child. If I feel like it, I'll instruct you further, tomorrow...

KAF:There's plenty he is responsible for but getting angry because the deficit was REDUCED???? OH come on.

    No one's angry KFC.
It's just funny how you and your kind take credit for reducing a deficit that you created.
it's still out of control BTW.

    FOCUS PEOPLE,
I agree with you. It's become Bush/Fox/Neocon watch! That's the only subject the Olbyloons talk about is:
    Bush/Fox/Neocon
    Bush/Fox/Neocon
    Bush/Fox/Neocon
    Bush/Fox/Neocon
    Bush/Fox/Neocon
    Bush/Fox/Neocon

They can't discuss anything else. If the Islamic threat gets mention it's back to Bush. They even defend Mahmoud Ahmadinejad! It's incredible.
But by changing the subject from Olbermann they're in fact admitting that Teheran Keith is a DNC Leftwing Pro-Iran hack!

The name of the site is Olbermannwatch, not Bushwatch. I'd like to see just one thread that didn't immediately veer completely off-topic and could actually stay focused on discussing the many f----ups of Keith Olbermann.

95% of the so called f---up's of KO are in your head.
George Bush is running this country, ( still hard to believe isn't it)so most of what is happening in this country DOES deal with him.

The fact that you are put in your place for all of Bush's f----up's ( not KO's ) really perturbs you.
    Thus why we post.

That and to educate you ignoramuses.

    No name,
You're just Stalinist jerk. Neocon is a movemnet of ex-Leftists that were anti-Communist. read what the movement is about. I guess Uncle Joe Stalins re-education camps impeed your ability to think!

Nixon was a Liberal not a conservative.

Dammnit, why won't the Olbyloons play by our rules?

    The Truth Hurts...

My car broke down, it's Bush's fault!

Big Bad Red Wolf : "I guess Uncle Joe Stalins re-education camps impeed your ability to think!

    the word is impede !

"Nixon was a Liberal not a conservative."

That's the dumbest thing you ever wrote, Red Wolf and you have had some doozies.
    Nixon was a liberal !
    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

LEFTY: Cut and paste for ease.

Olbermann lies but Bush lies more!

Olbermann isn't ruining MSNBC, Bush is ruining this country!

Olbermann has far more credibility than our country after Bush is done with it.

Olbermann may be boinking college girls, at least they aren't teenage pages!

Olbermann's not fat, Rupert Murdoch is fatter!

Use often and whenever debate goes sour for Olbermann. Sorry for the redundancy!

    Mr No name,
Bush doesn't control everthing iun this country. This country is in pretty good shape bye the way. If it's so horrible why do Millions come here ech year? If it's so horrible move to Iran. It's much better over there. Your just a typical Silver poon Sytalinist that wants to silence dissent!

    "Nixon was a liberal."

I bet the Republican party must be really surprised at that one.

Sorry- I was showing the idiocy of these Olbyloons.
These are the posts I read everyday to divert attention
    from Olbermann’s BS and lies.

Nixon foolowed Kaynsian econimics. He also instituted Price controls. That's socialism.

    Bushkill Falls,
My car broke down it's Bush's fault right?
    I got sick 2 weeks agoit's Bush's fault, right?
    He controls everything!
    Those damn neocons!

    Mr No name,
Bush doesn't control everthing iun this country.

You're correct. The corporations that control Bush, do.

This country is in pretty good shape bye the way.
    by-preposition
bye- a saying when you leave
    buy- to purchase

    Oh yeah...we're in great shape.
Ever hear of the word "debt "?
    Basically China OWNS us.

"If it's so horrible why do Millions come here ech year?"

B/c it's so much worse in a few other countries.

Actually The USA ranks around 50th in infant mortality rates and even lower in other areas.
We just like to think we're #1.

"If it's so horrible move to Iran."

America: Love it or leave it !

Now where did I hear that before?
right! During the Nixon Administration. That blasted liberal friend of Red Wolf 's.

. Your just a typical Silver poon Sytalinist that wants to silence dissent!

    As in poon tang ?

    Silence dissent?

No, that's the republicans' job !

"I guess you want it to run even higher than it was? Yeah, Bush ran it up, no question about that but shouldn't any reduction be a good thing?"

Not if at the end of the day you'll have a deficit INCREASE - as the Congressional Budget Office and Bush's own accountants have stated.

Crowing about a short-term deficit reduction whil the long-term analysis states an increase is coming is like a football team that got shellaced 56-14 being happy that they scored 14 and only gave up 7 in the first quarter. Yeah, you won the first quarter, but YOU LOST THE GAME!

The Left is against dissent. If there's one outlet that doesn't follow the Left's spin, ythen you guys clamor for it to be shutdown!
If someone attacks Islam, you guys get worked up yet allow bias against Christians. when says there on the right, then they're a neocon!

"Actually The USA ranks around 50th in infant mortality rates and even lower in other areas."

    Who cares!

That's why the Left comes on here. If one of their own gets attack then it's time to try and silence us. Well I won't be silenced I will continue to attack Olbermann, Islam and the Left. I am one Right you can't silnce!

"I am one Right you can't silnce!"

Red Wolf's been watching "Galaxy Quest" again...

    NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER!

Oh another Stalinist lie. Everybody on the Right supports Bush. I don't because he's a Global Corporatists whore! That I will agree with you. However when your idol Clinton was in power they were running the show. They've been running the show! But I don't want a communist system like you do!

Just look at my Hurriane Katrina embryo survivor posting.....it was responded to with Bush hatred.

    This is the left tactics.....

It is either "Those Jews'" fault...
    or "Those Evangelicals'" fault...
    or George Bush's fault.

Nevermind trying to debate the merits of their own position or trying to engage in objective, non-emotional back and forth.

The posters have no ability to think on their own so they resort to anti-" " slogans.

    Just like Olbermann.

    An aside....
Oh, and what was yesterday?.....I would not have known it was MLK's Birthday if I relied on Olbermann to give some recognition of the man's life work.

    Ensign Expendable,
My TV broke, it's Bush's fault right?
I lost my debit card it's all Bush's fault! damn Neo-Cons!

    cee,
Yes it;'s Bolshevist propaganda techniques perfeted by Stalin. When you point out something they start with name calling. I was a Left I know their tactics. That's why I use names to describe them. I fight fire with fire.
    In their mind if there's a snow storm, it's Bush's fault. If there's a solar eclipse it's Bush's fault.
It's called BDS Bush Derangement Syndrome!

Why do Conservatives tolerate the Left, albeit with disdain and ridicule, but the Left is out to wipe Conservative thought off the map? Do not Conservatives have the same freedoms of speech? Are Conservatives the "Israel" to the Lefts "Arab Street" ? Seems so.

I am a lefty and they've made it their business to single me out because I'm not singing off the same hymnal as they are. Oops, forgot, some of them are aethists who would never dare step foot in a church lest they get converted or something. Yeah, that's something else that pisses me off, the idea that I can't be a Christian and a liberal when I assure you I'm both. Okay, back on subject again. Because I won't agree with them 100%, some of them (Mike) have made it their business to single me out in an attempt to intimidate and silence me. But it just inspires me to reload and come gunning for bear. Oh, that's one more thing. I own a gun and I'm not afraid to use it but I guess I'm supposed to apologize for that too. And yet this is the same group that talks about how the Republicans are supposed to march in lock-step and engage in group think? At least Cox lets everyone here post their views, even when they stray very off-topic and you just don't get that on some of the so-called liberal boards. funny, Mike doesn't have a problem with those boards though, he only seems to have a problem with my posting at THIS board.

And about the deficit. A lot can happen that could conceivably reduce or further inflate the deficit in the next two years. We could have, God forbid, another 9/11 that could throw our markets in a turmoil. Deficit spending could actually end up decreasing with the dems in control of the budget. Just because something is predicted doesn't mean it's going to happen so any predictions about what the deficit will or won't be is just that: a prediction, it's not a fact until it happens (or doesn't).

Hey I have an idea, Left ignore the Stalinists and Iran supporters and just focus on Olbermann.
All they talk about is Bush, Bush, Bush!
If we wre to attack Iran they would be praying our planes would get shot down and they would rooot for Iran!

Just look at my Hurriane Katrina embryo survivor posting.....it was responded to with Bush hatred.

    This is the left tactics.....

No Cee, It wasn't Bush hatred. It was all factual.

    You are such a demogogue.
The facts were pretty hateful though....but that has more to do with how your boys handled the first TEST of Bush "protecting us" from a national disaster since 9/11, than anything else.
    He failed.
    Miserably.
    And you know it.
Thus your indignation with the post.

Like we don't Cee thru your bullshit.

    KAF,
I'm actually in favor of divided government. My gripe with Bush is that he pushes too much of a Corporatist agenda. With a Dem congress that will balance out. Also I'm against Free trade so hopefully the Dems will stand up to this.

KAF keeps saying: Ooh, I'm a 'lefty'....don't you dare say I'm not....I really am a reel 'libral, but I sure do hate KO....and Bush sure is doing a good job reducing the deficit....and I'm a 'Christian' too, and I just KNOW that them 'librals' think you just can't be both a libral AND a Christian.

Never mind that this dude has yet to post one single 'liberal' thought on this board that I've seen.

All he does is bash KO and them proclaim "and I'm a liberal too, as if that is somehow supposed to add credence to his KO bashing!"

    Nice try, Mr. 'Libral'.

    Ooh, but I'm a libral, I'm a libral, I'm a libral!

Blankman.....and the response to my post that ignored the birth of a baby that developed from "a bunch of cells," rescued from destruction during the hurricane ignored:

    1 facts

2 the idea that the choice of people determines whether someone is a human worthy of living

3 and the story had nothing to do with the poor federal, state and local response to the disaster

4 there was a silly (likely an Evangelical Christian) reference to "the myth" of Noah and the ark.

Uh, uh.....changing that subject again because you've got nothing new or interesting to offer.

    Mike,
The reason Olbermann gets bashed is because he doesn't come out and admit he's a Leftist. H e claims he's non partisan, he acts like he's holier than thou and calls himself a newscaster, when in fact he's a commentator. My gripe with him is that all he focuses is on Bush, he mentions nothing of the Islamic threat and always defends Iran! If he was honest and said yes, I'm a Leftist and I do follow the DNC line I would respect him.

Hey Republicans: The idea is not to just "reduce the deficit". The goal is to create and maintain a surplus....you know, to actually pay our own way in the world, and continue to do so.

To crow "but we've reduced the deficit" this year is such a stupid argument. If we are running a reduced deficit, it means we are STILL rapidly adding to the National debt....and this debt MUST somehow be paid...one way or the other!

3 and the story had nothing to do with the poor federal, state and local response to the disaster

Notice how Cee includes state and local response, still trying desperately to absolve Bush of his neglect in this disaster.

And you're right, it's not what you wrote about. It's what I CHOSE to write about.

And you think Noah and his ark wasn't a myth?
How about Jonah in the belly of the whale?
and the parting of the Red Sea?

Just curious how gullible you really are.
You probably still think the jury's out on evolution too. ! HA

    Mike,
What's your plan to reduce trhe defecit?

No Red Wolf, the reason Olbermann gets 'bashed' is because some folks haven't got anything better to do than waste their precious time 'bashing' a TV commentator they don't like, as if it makes any difference at all to Olbermann.

Actually mike, it's not that i have nothing better to do, it's that i enjoy the shit out of bashing that pompous assdrip. Olbermann is fun to trash.

KAF: I'm a lefty, hear me roar !

    Laughing my ass off !

You're about as left as Spiro Agnew, or Richard Nixon, who we learned today from Red Wolf was a liberal !

Didn't know liberals had enemies lists !

    Mike,
What's your plan to reduce the defecit?

Red Wolf asks: "mike, whats your plan to reduce the deficit?"

Now Red Wolf, such a simple question with such a simple answer.

We should start by rolling back the ill advised tax cuts already put in place exclusively for the wealthy by Bush....all during a time of war!

Davidbrock: Now there's an answer I can understand. If you're having fun doing this....go for it!

Thats why I post here too!

Here's an interesting story for the wingnuts:
Our US army is selling "forbidden equipment to Iran and China .

    http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070116/D8MMCNP80.html

Are we going to allow the US Army to sell this equipment to Iran and China ?

Or should we bomb ourselves ?

"Our US army is selling "forbidden equipment to Iran and China ."

Yes, that pissed me off. The people responsible should prosecuted! I hope there's an internal Pentagon or Congressional investigation on this!

    Tuesday 16 January 2007

Washington - The U.S. military has sold forbidden equipment at least a half-dozen times to middlemen for countries - including Iran and China - who exploited security flaws in the Defense Department's surplus auctions. The sales include fighter jet parts and missile components.

In one case, federal investigators said, the contraband made it to Iran, a country President Bush branded part of an "axis of evil."

In that instance, a Pakistani arms broker convicted of exporting U.S. missile parts to Iran resumed business after his release from prison. He purchased Chinook helicopter engine parts for Iran from a U.S. company that had bought them in a Pentagon surplus sale. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, speaking on condition of anonymity, say those parts made it to Iran.

The surplus sales can operate like a supermarket for arms dealers.

And you wonder why we talk about Bush !

"We should start by rolling back the ill advised tax cuts already put in place exclusively for the wealthy by Bush....all during a time of war!"

Mike, do you want to raise taxes on just those who earn $200,000 or on everyone. My taxes got reduced and I make in the 50,000 range. I like my low taxes. If taxes are raised, read my earlier post. I said those earning $200,000 should pay a 42% rate. Those earning more than a Million should pay a %55 rate.
Do you agree with my idea?
Put your hostility towards me aside for a second, Do you as a Lefty agree with my tax idea?

someone above is saying "our army is selling forbidden equipment to Iran and China".

I don't know if that is true or not, but the truth is, we don't really have a hell of lot to offer them in exchange for the massive quantities of plastic crap we buy from china, and the huge quantities of oil we buy from Iran for our SUVs, now do we?

I stay on topic on this board. I discuss OLBERMANN. The Olbermann apologists on this board board however choose never to discuss Olbermann directly because they'd rather discuss George W. Bush. Somehow, my silence regarding my beliefs has been taken as an indication I don't have them. That would be a wrong assumption but I see a lot of wrong assumptions on this board, mainly that Keith Olbermann is some kind of journalistic God when he's anything but. You see, we could be discussing why Keith is wrong and why he's an insult to journalism but nope, some of you insist on constantly changing the subject because you KNOW Keith is a joke so therefore would prefer to discuss anything BUT Keith. I've already stated I'm pro-choice, anti-death penalty and I was against this war from Day One. I'm simply apalled at the slams that Keith takes against women on a daily basis on his show which I guess makes me pro-feminist, something he is decidely NOT. I have NEVER voted for a Republican presidential candidate, always Democrats. I've never voted for a Republican House rep either--always Dems. I will admit to voting for a GOP senator (once) but only because the Democratic candidate was such a joke. And isn't it ironic that while I"m being accused of being a Republican that last night Keith chose not to speak a single word about it being MLK day but none of you are questioning his liberal street cred. Oh, that's right: just so long as he Bush bashes, you accept that he's a liberal even though he says he's not and won't admit to being one as if it's something to be ashamed of. You don't call him on that either. but me? Oh you'll try to crucify me. Well tough shit. At the end of the day, I know what I am, I know what my beliefs are and if they don't jive with what you THINK they ought to be, you can kiss my, yes, liberal ass.

Olbermann is still an insult to journalism just as much as Fox News is but actually, at least I give credit to Fox for having on others with varying opinions and for labeling their shows correctly (i.e. opinion)something that MSNBC/Keith doesn't do. And you can keep changing the subject back to Bush to take the heat off of Olbermann all you like but unlike the rest of you, I don't have a short-attention span and I get and respect that the name of the board is in fact Olbermannwatch not Bushbash.

    In response, blankman.....

As a follower of Christ....also known as a Christian....I believe what my Savior says.

He says in Matthew, "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

He says in Matthew, "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Lastly, in the gospels, Christ discusses many portions of Moses' ministry but never specifically mentions the parting of The Red Sea...however, no one has ever shown me evidence that the account in Exodus should be dismissed.

So, yes, as a Christian I am gullible when it comes to ALL of the teachings of my messiah, the Son of God, Yeshua. He also teaches about Adam and Eve, so that should answer your last question.

You see, blankman, don't go there....You will be sorry if you try to debate any issue of faith with me.....Ask the other liberal secularist posters like codas, The Great and Powerful OZ (Colbert) and Sir Loin of Milquetoast....they simply could not keep up with me.

What does the sale of Pentagon surplus have to do with Bush? Did he personally sell equoipment? Or was it a Pentagaomn screw up?

"and the huge quantities of oil we buy from Iran for our SUVs, now do we? "

We don't get oil from Iran. Our main suppliers are Saudi Arabia, Canada, Venezuela, Mexico and Nigeria.

Mike read my post and see if you agree with my tax plan.

    Red Wolf:

First off, I don't have any 'hostility' at all towards you. However, sometimes I think you should think about it a little more before you submit a post because some of your posts have been pretty far out there.

I know you got a tax cut along with just about everybody, including me. However, we got a reletively small tax cut simply to mollify us, when the REAL tax cuts went to the wealthy. I think the tax rates were pretty much where they should be at the end of the Clinton years, when America actually DID have a surplus for a short period of time.

We SHOULD have maintained that surplus and used it to pay down the National Debt....only then should there have been any talk of tax cuts, and only if we were not planning on any major foreign Military adventures.

"I would not have known it was MLK's Birthday if I relied on Olbermann to give some recognition of the man's life work."

You wouldn't have known it watching Hannity and Colmes either...

Oh, and blankman.....Jesus did mention two miracles that Moses was involved in.....

John 3:14 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up"

John 6:32 "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven."

The serpent on the cross and manna from heaven....Either Christ was right or he was one crazy dude!

    KAF,
I've always said there's a difference between Liberals and LEFTISTS. They only view what's wrong with America. Libearls want to improve america. I may not always agree with Liberals, but I respect their sincerity in wanting civil rights and economic justice. At the end of the day you guys love this country, no matter who'ds in power. The Left hates Bush so they hate America too. They cheer on our enemies like Iran and Syria because of their hatred for Bush.
Ironically 2 of my favorite Presidents, Truman and Kennedy were Liberals. They definently stood up for this country.

    Mike,
I actually think the taxes of the Rich should be raised even higher than they were under Clinton. They've bennefitted more than the rest of the population due to globalization. Our Military is supporting that Global system. They should pay more for it. I also think Corporate welfare should end and companies that outsource should pay higher taxes. However I think the 1st $30,000 of taxes should be tax free and taxes on those earning up to $100,000 should be reduced.

You know, I'm in the 'Puck really *is* an idiot' camp now. Here's my favorite part of his inanity:

    "Spare me.

Do you hear how idiotic it is to blame ALL of Katrina on one man? You need to move on loser."

No, Puck; the Katrina problem people have with Bush is....it's that Bush and his administration had five years and the resources of the entire country in hand to prepare this nation for a major disaster, terrorist or otherwise.

They campaigned for office, specifically telling everybody how much more competent they were to protect America in an emergency.

They had five years to plan for emergency response and to have emergency materials in place for something, oh, like a city getting wiped out.

He and everybody who works for him failed in this task. They failed in this task so utterly and miserably that thousands died in NOLA when they didn't have to.

Republicans; they think government doesn't work, and then they get elected and prove it.

This, this is what he was doing while the Big Easy drowned:

    http://www.bu.edu/globalbeat/jpg/Bush-guitar.jpg

It's emblematic of what he was doing every damned day for the previous 4 years and 364 days before Katrina.

There's your hero, your fake coboy, in a nutshell.

The evidence is long since in: Bush is simply an incompetent phony.

And, at this point anybody who thinks otherwise is a perfect sucker.

    broadsword,
So Mayor Ray Nagin and Gov. Blanco get a pass?

KAF says: "I have NEVER voted for a Republican presidential candidate". OK, I'll take your word for it.....and I also say so what!

You see KAF, unlike you, I HAVE frequently voted for Republican Presidential candidates....most recently in 2000 when 'Mister' Bush claimed he was "not a nation builder", a "compasionate conservative", & a "fiscal conservative".....all of this turned out to be nothing but campaign lies.

Now, how does all this relate to KO? You keep claiming both me and KO are "liberals', but neither one of us actually claim that label ourselves, and THIS is what seems to trouble you.

First off KAF, now try to pay attention here; the invasion and occupation of Iraq is NOT a conservative idea at all. Tampering with the Constitution and the Geneva Convention are NOT conservative ideas either.

Now let go back to KO; THOSE are the things he keeps talking about! If he has taken much of a stand on many of the tradition 'liberal' causes, I personally haven't noticed him doing that! What is KO's stand on abortion? Where does he stand on universal health care? What about gay marriage? I don't have a clue, and I don't believe you do either.

You see, KO is anti - war, pro freedom, pro due process for ALL, and yes...definitely anti - Bush, but none of that necesarily makes him 'liberal'.

    BUT he is a liberal-
Mr. and Mrs. Clinton lover-President Bush Hater- no lefty bad- every left good- LIBERAL.

    Mike,
Olbermann is more than jsu anti-Bush. He tows the Dem party line. I've seen him support Gay marriage. He never attacks Democrats and doesn't comment on stories that make the Left look bad.
He also has sympathy for Iran and defends them at every turn. Olbermann is a Lefty.

    > You wouldn't have known it watching Hannity and Colmes either...

Sheesh, what is it with defending Olbermoronn by bringing up Hannity, or Limbaugh, or O'Reilly, or somebody else? Don't the Olbypologists have any card to play besides O'Rushity?

Besides, H&C is not a newscast. That's what A-Mess-NBC claims Countdown is supposed to be. What's more, H&C DID commemorate King Day. Herr Olbermoronn ignored it.

I got news for so many of you who lean so far to the right that your left leg is longer than your right leg; Bill Clinton was a moderate...lets spell that...M 0 D E R A T E!

Now there's a word we just don't read very much on this board - moderate - to many on here, everything is either 'liberal', or 'conservative', but guess what Virginia, there really is a 'moderate' America, and that includes most of us!

The serpent on the cross and manna from heaven....Either Christ was right or he was one crazy dude!

It has nothing to do with Christ being right. Most of the New Testament was written after Christ died. Much of the "written word" was hearsay.
If you know anything about history, and after reading your posts, you don't,you should know that much of history was distorted and not actual truths.

There is nothing 'holy' about the Bible, nor is it 'the word of God.' It was not written by God-inspired saints, but by power-seeking priests. Who but priests consider sin the paramount issue? Who but priests write volumes of religious rites and rituals? No one, but for these priestly scribes sin and rituals were imperatives: their purpose was to found on them an awesome religion. By this intellectual tyranny they sought to gain control, and they achieved it. By 400 B.C. they were the masters of ancient Israel. For so great a project they needed a theme, a framework, and this they found in the Creation lore of more knowledgeable races. This they commandeered and perverted - the natural to the supernatural, and truth to error.

The Bible is not 'the word of God,' but stolen from pagan sources. Its Eden, Adam and Eve were taken from the Babylonian account; its Flood or Deluge is but an epitome of some four hundred flood accounts; its Ark and Ararat have their equivalents in a score of Deluge myths; even the names of Noah's sons are copies, so also Isaac's sacrifice, Solomon's judgement, and Samson's pillar act; its Moses is fashioned after the Syrian Mises; its laws after Hammurabi's code...and so on and so on.

Lewis Black who I highly recommend to see his comedy special Screwed on HBO( oh right, you don't get that ) talks about the writings of the old testament, the book of his people.
He says," We know that much of what is written is a parable, not to be taken literally. How do we know this ? Because we have a brain and we can think."
You have to be pretty pretty crazy to take that shit literally.

    And I see cee does.

    Cee: Mr dogma.
No wonder, no matter how much evidence that stacks up against Bush as being incompetent and just plain wrong, you still believe.

You probably believe the earth was created in 7 days, correct?
That is so easy to disprove.
All I have to do is hold up a FOSSIL in my hand.

    Bingo!

But Red Wolf, your definition od "defending Iran' seems to be not condemning them strongly enough, or failing to mention the latest crazy thing it's nutball president said.

I haven't personally seen or heard him 'defend' Iran, so forgive me if I don't take your word for it.

I personally think we are guilty of bolstering Iran's president by paying too much attention to him. This gives him the opportunity to focus his people's attention on us as an external enemy. This is a classic trick that all tyrants have used throughout history to divert attention away from their own failures and shortcomings.

    Mike,
Clinton was a Liberal! mHe nforce to govern as a Moderate because of a Reublican control congress.
Remember Clinton was very Liberal his 1st 2 years that's why the Republicans captured congress.
Hey about Olbermann, how come he only attacks those on the Right? When Leftists make stupid statements they don't get mentioned. Why is that?

    Red Wolf:

Did you stop to think that the tax proposal you made at 4:29 is VERY 'liberal', and for the most part, I agree with it!

Bill Clinton was not a moderate. He was and is a 60's leftist....along with his dear wife...Hilliary Rodham.

Three examples that do it for me.....

    He vetoed Partial-Birth Abortion restrictions

    He vetoed School-Vouchers

His health care plan was very similar to other large government programs

Bill and Hillary show more moderate stripes when it suits them politically, but their foundation and origin is McGovernesque Democratic Party....LEFTIST!....poison!

"What's more, H&C DID commemorate King Day. Herr Olbermoronn ignored it."

Johnny, I WATCHED Hannity and Colmes LAST NIGHT and they DID NOT COVER IT! There was a 10-second "news blurb" during one of the breaks, but that's it.

And it does matter - if you're going to bitch about Olbermann not covering it, then I get to fire back that they didn't either.

Remarks at the National Conference for Media Reform in Memphis, Tennessee, January 13, 2007.

I'd like to request that nobody shout during this event, and I'll tell you why. I watched Bush's speech with some people who thought it would be a good idea to take a sip of liquor every time he told a lie. Three days later my head is aching.

But it aches mostly because of the media's coverage of the speech. Idiots don't offend me as much as smart people following idiots do. The Washington Post printed Bush's speech for those who missed it, and then printed some analysis of it. But the analysis was provided by the White House, which published a glossy brochure that so-called reporters could plagiarize.

If you went to online sources like Foreign Policy in Focus, you found analyses of Bush's speech that pointed out the lies. If you turned on your television, you heard how smart Bush was to admit his mistakes. But you did not hear the long list of mistakes that he has not admitted to or gone to prison for. You just heard about his mistake of not having yet done exactly what he now wants to do.

The following is what I would like to have heard on the TV and radio after Bush's speech (and similar reporting on Congressman Dick Durbin's so-called response):

Earlier this evening we aired a speech by President George W. Bush that may have left you with some false impressions. We need to correct these matters of fact.

The president's speech did not mention WMDs or Saddam Hussein or attempt to explain why we are occupying the nation of Iraq or what it would mean for that occupation to "win" or "lose." This may have left you with the impression that no justification is required by law to forcibly occupy someone else's country and kill a significant portion of their population. That is not the case.

The president made no reference to the permanent military bases he is illegally constructing in Iraq. This may have left you with the impression that he plans to leave Iraq some day. This, combined with his references to democracy, may have given you a certain idea of his plans for Iraq that does not seem to be suggested by the president's actions.

Bush also expressed support for a number of Middle-Eastern nations allied with the United States, notably Saudi Arabia. This may have given you the idea that these nations are democracies. They are dictatorships.

Bush began his speech by connecting Iraq to 9/11. In fact, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. We apologize to the millions who have lost loved ones because of this lie. When Bush said that al Qaeda was "still" active in Iraq, he failed to add that it had only become active in Iraq as a result of his invasion and occupation of that nation.

Bush said that he would see that the people of Iraq profit from its oil. This statement bears no relationship to actual US policy, and Bush has no legal right to decide what happens to another nation's resources.

Bush suggested that most Iraqis want the occupation to continue. This is false.

Bush suggested that occupying Iraq was making Americans safer. His own intelligence analysts disagree.

Bush implied that he can escalate wars at his own discretion. In fact, Congress can prevent him from doing so if it chooses to.

Of course, Bush has escalated this war in the past. We have not reported on that as such because he did not make a big deal of it. The reason he is making a big deal of it this time was not addressed in his speech.

What was new in the speech was a threat to Iran and Syria. Bush claimed that Iran is providing material to Iraqi resisters. There is no evidence of this. Bush said he was sending ships and missile defense systems to the region. These steps have no clear connection to Iraq and may be seen as part of a threat to Iran.

Bush said not one word about all of the Iraqi blood he has spilled. Approximately 655,000 Iraqis have died as a result of the United States' invasion and occupation of Iraq, thus far. And the death rate is increasing, not diminishing. Here is video showing many of the people killed and injured in this war and their family members.

Americans can support or oppose this war by contacting their Congressmembers. There will be a march in opposition to the war in Washington, DC, on January 27th followed by lobbying of Congress on the 29th. For more on that, see www.unitedforpeace.org.

Bush suggested that occupying Iraq was making Americans safer. His own intelligence analysts disagree.

    Hey, what do they know?
bush didn't listen to them when they doubted there were WMD, so why should he listen to them now?
Besides, George Bush has so much more international experience than they do.

"And you can keep changing the subject back to Bush to take the heat off of Olbermann all you like but unlike the rest of you, I don't have a short-attention span and I get and respect that the name of the board is in fact Olbermannwatch not Bushbash."

Blankman....yes, the representative of the secular humanist fringe of the Democratic Party reveals his true colors....He is anti-religion.

That's all good opinion, blankman....but please prove that The Torah was "based" on other society's myths....you can't.

Please prove that Yeshuah's words were not the accounts of eye witnesses like the original manuscripts claim....you can't. The four gospels were all written by the end of the 1st century, by the way.

Why would thousands of people all over the known world, in the first years of Christianity be willing to die, sometimes rather painfully, for a lie...a lie that says Christ died and rose from the dead....Was there mass insanity? Were they all on drugs?

How could a lie turn into a world following and the official religion of a secular empire in such a short period of time?

Lack of humility is the weakness you quickly showed, blankman...I will enjoy seeing you squirm. And I highly recommend you stop using some stuff from The DaVinci Code....all known lies.

As Paul so nicly pointed out....

"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things."

Your pride, blankman, is the same pride that has been the inherited downfall of every man since the beginning of time. Keep holding up that fossil in pride....just like the primitive held up his torch, or the Egyptian his asp, or the Roman his spear or the Nazi his gun.....

The answer to your question is what Christ spoke to me through the scriptures....

"When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation' standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that this will not take place in winter, because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again. If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ[!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time." MARK 13

    Did God create the world....yes.

So, blankman, if, in your analysis....Christians and Jews believe in lies, what should we do about this?

    Mike,
I lean slighly populist on economic and very Libertarian on social issues. On Foreign policy though I'm to the Right of Genghis Khan!
That said Mike, I'm glad you agree with my tax plan! These Global corporations don't give a hoot about this country, they just view us as a big market place. Very sad indeed.

We can go to Okinawa. We, we don’t have—we can redeploy there almost instantly.
MR. RUSSERT: But it’d be tough to have a timely response from Okinawa.
REP. MURTHA: Well, it—you know, they—when I say Okinawa, I, I’m saying troops in Okinawa. When I say a timely response, you know, our fighters can fly from Okinawa very quickly.

Actually, Rusert is right. Flying from Okinawa to Iraq is a 10-12 hour flight w/ a refueling stop

I fully understand that the name of this board is Olbermann Watch, but for the life of me, I just can't figure out how to talk about a man....without also discussing the very ideas he is raising that are so controversial, which as we both know, is mostly anti-Bush.

If all you want to do is talk about Olbermann, and what kind of 'journalist' he is, then count me out. I also Believe this would become a pretty boring board if discussions were limited to Olbermann, the man. If Johnny or Robert disagree with me on this, then they are always free to block me if they choose to.

Until then, I will continue to discuss the merits of the ISSUES that KO is discussing, which can hardly be separated from Bush.

    hank:

You (and every other right-winger) leaves out the part where Murtha mentions Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain BEFORE mentioning Okinawa. He even mentions Saudi Arabia, but rejects it because of political concerns. In context, Okinawa is a LAST RESORT stop, not the FIRST.

REP. MURTHA: "Kuwait is one that will take us. Qatar, we already have bases in Qatar. So Bahrain. All those countries are willing to take the United States. Now, Saudi Arabia won’t because they wanted us out of there in the first place. So—and we don’t have to be right there. We can go to Okinawa. We, we don’t have—we can redeploy there almost instantly. So that’s not—that’s, that’s a fallacy. That, that’s just a statement to rial up people to support a failed policy wrapped in illusion."

    > Johnny, I WATCHED Hannity and Colmes LAST NIGHT and they DID NOT COVER IT! There was a 10-second "news blurb" during one of the breaks, but that's it.

Sure you watched it! But why don't I believe you? Perhaps because your language about a "10-second" blurb during "one of the breaks" is lifted straight from a blue blog that routinely lies about Fox News and even writes scathing comments about programs they haven't even seen. Perhaps it's because the commemoration on H&C was not a news blurb. And perhaps it's because it didn't occur at "one of the breaks", because they didn't run just one piece about MLK.

You know what? It doesn't look like you saw H&C at all, or if you did, you are intentionally lying about it. Here is the true modus operandi of the Olbypologist: first change the subject, use a tu quoque fallacy, and then make up your own facts to boot!

Of course, even if what you claimed had been true, that H&C only devoted one ten-second news blurb to MLK--it still would have been more than the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann did, wouldn't it?

    Checkmate.

    Did God create the world...yes!

    How do you explain fossils?

    Nancy Grace – 924,000 viewers (416,000)

    > You calling me a liar? I SAW IT! I REMEMBER IT! DID YOU SEE IT? OR ARE YOU GOING OFF A DAMN TRANSCRIPT?

I didn't call anyone a liar. I said I didn't believe you, and I cited my reasons. And I wasn't going off a damn transcript. I was going off my tivo, which doesn't lie.

So now another diversion to distract from the point at hand: H&C did commemorate MLK, and Olbermann didn't. Is that not correct?

Johnny does a very good job of documenting many possible talking points every single night in news that KO doesn't cover or that he spins towards the Dems but I suspect discussion of those points would mean acknowledging Olbermann's biases, or his issues with women, or any number of other subjects that the likes of Mike want to pretend just don't exist. So they take the lazy way out and begin talking about Bush as a distraction. It's lazy and it's intellectually dishonest, just like Olbermann.

"So now another diversion to distract from the point at hand: H&C did commemorate MLK, and Olbermann didn't. Is that not correct?"

I think I already addressed all the issues in your last post, in their entirety.

    Please go back and review!

If you want to remain obsessed with an admittantly flawed TV news commentator that you don't even have to watch, have at it, but that will remain a pretty inane and boring topic for most of us.

    > Considering YOUR track record of distortion and omission, I don't believe YOU. And if that gets me 86ed from this site, so be it.

Remove you from the site? One of the great attractions of this site is the endless entertainment and laugh-out-loud hilarity provided by the desperate OlbyLoons. And as for not believing me, that figures. I'll stack my accuracy record any day against the hundreds of distortions and lies spewed by Herr Olbermann. And that doesn't even count the nonsense from the OlbyLoons. But that's just entertainment.

Almost as inane as thinking that "admittantly" is actual a word.

"Oh My God...A supposedly educated man believing God created the world."

Yes, and glad to discuss it with you.

I am assuming you are holding the fossil in your hand to argue the earth is older than the scriptures would have one believe?

How did you obtain the age of the fossil?

I'll answer my own question...because there is only one (flawed) way...C14 dating.

I have a question for you....Is C14 dating ever done without THEORIZED strata dating influencing the objective reading....meaning telling the C14 scientist where the fossil was obtained?

See this article about the truth concerning "the science" of C14 dating:

    http://www.ldolphin.org/sewell/c14dating.html

Do you simply accept C14 dating because you were taught it is an accurate way of dating matter, or have you actually seen it done and performed without influence from geological theory on strata dating?

I have, and it is not objective.

You see, I was a Biology Major as an undergraduate and saw the science behind the textbooks....like I was always taught...don't always believe what you read in textbooks. They will change it 6 months later.

Please let me know. Primary sources would be nice.

Also, please provide one example of a macro-evolutionary interspecies fossil to back up your claim of complete, unaided, naturalistic Darwinian Evolution from single cell to Homo sapien.

Please explain to me the evolutionary process by which DNA has, in both plants and animals, the ability to repair itself back to its original code after frequent (conservatively estimated to be 1 million replication errors per second), replication errors. How could a chemical resposible for carrying the genetic information responsible for evolution evolve its own repair chemical when it has so frequently occurring replication errors?

Also, when DNA makes proteins, there are transcription errors of the same magnitude as DNA replication and there are chemicals that repair these errors. How did the "repairer" chemicals evolve from the repairee if there were errors in the first place that would halt the production of proteins?

The above is also true of RNA and there are different repair chemicals when gamates are formed through miosis...Again, how can a chemical structure that relies on a strict code repair itself?

What about mitochondrial DNA? How could it evolve a totally different replication and transcrption repair system and still survive the original replicating errors?

What are the odds that every part of the human eye, which has over 10,000 independently functioning parts, evolved independently of one another to result in the combined stucture we have today?

How long in years would those odds need for the one correct "original eye" to finally evolve?

(Hint....longer than the currently scientifically accepted age of the entire universe)

How do replicating animal and plant cells in the zygote and early embryo correctly align spatially in three dimensions? How did this important basic embryological process evolve under only the influence of Natural Selection if the rudimentary process had to be evolved first?

    Please answer these scientific questions.

I've got a lot more if you want them.

Let me ask you; The next time I go to the doctor, am I going to have to ask him or her if they believe in creationism? I mean literally, as you seem to believe....you know, the 7 day thing....and then God rested....and then there was Adam and Eve!

I think I would need to know this because I sure don't want to be diagnosed by someone naive enough to actually believe nonsense like that...literally!

Go for it Mike....I will assure you you will find many more God fearing physicians then you will God fearing scientists simply because the callingfor "healer" requires much more than knowing what prescription to write for a particular disease process.....anyone can do that....

It takes caring, compassion and love. And whether or not you or blankman want to realize it, Yahweh is love and the only source of caring and compassion. Without those things, you may as well see your local auto mechanic.

You will realize this someday....medicine is more then pharma, surgery and technology.....at least good medicine is.

BTW liberal secularists....I enjoy and use science every day...it's a good thing....it has been a part of my life since I was a youngster.

The wise person realizes the limitations of science and humbly SERVES another, greater "purpose" USING science to relieve suffering and provide hope.

Guess who fills "purpose" for me?

What or who fills "purpose" for you?

Wow.....after almost 10 hours to respond....

    crickets is all I hear!

No response from the arrogant, self-rightous, self-described enlightened and tolerant liberals who called my beliefs "fairy tales."

"Also, please provide one example of a macro-evolutionary interspecies fossil to back up your claim of complete, unaided, naturalistic Darwinian Evolution from single cell to Homo sapien."

Yeah. Why don't you go to the Museum of Nautrual History, in New York. Go to the second floor.

Look down between your feet and start walking. You'll note the progression of evoloution in the fossil section record right under your nose. Walk all away around the building in this fashion.

The exhibit you're asking for is right there.

Then, go to the planetarium and walk down the spiral staircase you'll find after the show. Note how long man has walked the earth in comparison to the age of the universe, and realize that if there is a creator, he's not interested in you personally, that he didn't mystically impregnate a virgin, that your religion is in all likelyhood, a myth.

Any other tough questions? Like, 'do you think my religion is a stubborn belief in unsupported fiction?', or, "If I could answer my own questions about genetics, I'd get a Nobel prize...why haven't I done it yet?"

    broadsword:

I have been to the exhibit you mention and it does not contain ONE example of an example of an INTERSPECIES MACRO-EVOLUTIONARY FOSSIL...and the gaps between so-called transition species are huge.

Also, please address the C14 dating point if you are going to be so smug. Blind sampling and blind standards are usually important in scientific endeavors....Why don't Paleontologists follow this important scientific concept, broadsword?

Also, please address the improbability of your theory that has random molecules forming a code that forms billions of functional proteins that can "realize" the error in the replication and transcription....You can't and you won't defend your unsupported fiction.

Or how about the spacial movements of primitive embryoloical cells in 3 dimensions....How could Natural Selection "create" a multi-cell organism?....sounds like unsupported fiction to me!

Oh...and broadsword, IMHO....the grandness of the universe that is synthetic and produced at The Hayden Planetarium pales in comparison to the real thing just outside my window....in the world God created.

"I am assuming you are holding the fossil in your hand to argue the earth is older than the scriptures would have one believe?

How did you obtain the age of the fossil?"

I don't need a fossil, or Carbon-14 dating, to determine the age of the earth. C-14 dating is good for "short-range" (in the geological sense) radiometric dating. However, uranium-lead dating is used for more distant dating because of the long half-life of Uranium. In these tests (using zircon because zircon contains uranium atoms but does not contain lead), the age of the Earth has been estimated at 4.4 billion years. There is a built in way to check the data as well - you have the deterioration of Uranium-235 to Lead-207 (which takes roughly 700 million years) and Uranium-238 to Lead-206 (which takes 400 million years).

And then there is the science of cosmochronology, which uses uranium and thorium dating to estimate the age of the Sun relative to other stars of similar mass and luminosity. Based upon this, the Sun has been estimated to be 4.57 billion years old (this is also supported by data that indicates the sun has consumed roughly half its current fuel and will take another 4-5 billion years to exhaust its current process of nuclear fusion and change from a main-sequence yellow star to a red giant).

EE claims: "...you have the deterioration of Uranium-235 to Lead-207 (which takes roughly 700 million years) and Uranium-238 to Lead-206 (which takes 400 million years)"

My response...just like C14 dating, we have scientists assuming things....a very unusual behavior for true scientists.

The items "dated" have to be assumed to be in a closed system, that is, nothing can contaminate any of the parents or the daughter products while they are going through their decay process or the dating will be thrown off. Ideally, in order to do this, each specimen tested needs to have been sealed in a jar with thick lead walls for all its previous existence, supposedly millions of years.

But in actual field conditions, there is no such thing as a closed system. One piece of rock cannot for millions of years be sealed off from other rocks, as well as from water, chemicals, and changing radiations from outer space.

Also, each system must initially have contained none of its daughter products. A piece of uranium 238 must originally have had no lead or other daughter products in it. If it did, this would give a false date reading. This assumption can in no way be confirmed. It is impossible to know what was initially in a given piece of radioactive mineral. Was it all of this particular radioactive substance, or were some other indeterminate or final daughter products mixed in? We do not know; we cannot know. Scientists can guess, they can apply their assumptions, come up with some dates, announce the consistent ones, and hide the rest, which is exactly what evolutionary scientists do...their voice of certainty comes only after data is vetted and compared to ASSUMED strata theory.

The idea of the sample being created there at Creation cannot be dismissed simply because the decay is observed. It may well have had a variety of radioactive substances both parent and daughter products originally in it. But there are also other ways that the daughter products at various points in time could have been present in the rock and contaminated the original specimen, throwing off the clock.

The process rate must always have been the same. The decay rate must never have changed.

Yet we have no way of going back into past ages and ascertaining whether this assumption of constent decay is correct. A number of variable factors could have changed the decay rate from what it is now. Every process in nature operates at a rate that is determined by a number of factors. These factors can change or vary with a change in certain conditions. Rates are really statistical averages, not deterministic constants.

The most fundamental of the initial assumptions is that all radioactive clocks, including carbon 14, have always had a constant decay rate that is unaffected by external influences now and forever in the past.

It is a known fact among scientists that such changes in decay rates can and do occur. Laboratory testing has established that such resetting of specimen clocks does happen. Field evidence reveals that decay rates have indeed varied in the past.

The decay rate of any radioactive mineral can be altered if the mineral is bombarded by high energy particles from space (such as neutrinos, cosmic rays, etc.). Also, if there is, for a time, a nearby radioactive mineral emitting radiation or if physical pressure is brought to bear upon the radioactive mineral, Also, if certain chemicals are brought in contact with it.

Another assumption is the lack of any change in past ages in the blanket of atmosphere surrounding our planet....this would greatly affect the clocks in radioactive minerals.

Cosmic rays, neutrons, electrons, protons, and photons enter our atmosphere continually. These are atomic particles traveling at speeds close to that of the speed of light. Some of these rays go several hundred feet underground and 1400 meters [1,530 yards] into the ocean depths. The blanket of air covering our world is equivalent to 34 feet [104 dm] of water, or 1 meter [1.093 yd] thickness of lead. If at some earlier time this blanket was more heavily water-saturated, it would produce a major changefrom what the condition is now,in the atomic clocks within radioactive minerals. Prior to the time of the Flood, there was a much greater amount of water in the air.

Yet another basic assumption of all radioactive dating methods is that the clock had to start at the beginning. It is assumed that no daughter products were present; only those elements at the top of the radioactive chain. For example, all the uranium 238 in the world originally had no lead 206 in it, and no lead 206 existed anywhere else. But if either Creation or a major world-wide catastrophe (such as the Flood) occurred, everything would begin thereafter with an "appearance of age" or "appearance of maturity." The world would be seen as mature the moment after Creation. Spread before us would be a scene of fully grown plants and flowers. Most trees would have their full height. We would not, instead, see a barren landscape of seeds littering the ground. We would see full-grown chickens, not unhatched eggs. Radioactive minerals would be partially through their cycle of half lives on the very first day. This factor of initial "apparent age" would strongly affect our present reading of the radioactive clocks in uranium, thorium, etc.

Evolutionary theorists say that originally there was only uranium, and all of its daughter products (radioactive isotopes farther down its decay chain) developed later. But "appearance of maturity" at the Creation would mean that much of the elements now classified by evolutionists as "daughter products," were actually originally not daughter-products, and were already in the ground along with uranium, instead of being produced by it.

These assumptions abound and are not mentioned in scientific dating discussions. It is simply accepted that a date given by someone with a PhD. after his/her name is true and verifiable.

So that rock you have in your hand now, EE, may be 4.4 billion years old, or.....it may not....speaking strictly scientifically.

What was that term again?...."unsupported fiction?"

    Cee,

"Also, please address the improbability of your theory that has random molecules forming a code that forms billions of functional proteins that can "realize" the error in the replication and transcription....You can't and you won't defend your unsupported fiction."

Take some Carbon. And Nitrogen. And Hydrogen. And Oxygen.

Put them in a closed cylinder.

Pass some electricty through the cylinder. Or just heat it.

Look in the bottom of the bowl. You will find some nice complex amino acids. OOOOH!

    It really is that simple.

With the proteins you just made, you're already just a heartbeat from having a bit of replicable DNA/RNA code.

A smart guy like you, with some divine assistance, could probably put it all together. Given a billion years or so.

Regarding the Hayden Planetarium; I don't think you've grasped the full scope of your insignificance by looking out the window. That's why people build planetariums; so you can really put in to perspective just how small your life is, that you're a fleck of meat that lives for the duration of a gnat's fart, cosmically speaking.

Are you sure God created the view our of your window? You sure it wasn't some scumbag real-estate developer?

And...how would you know God created everything?

Ah, because you read it in a very, very old and largely discredited book.

    That's...just brilliant. You are....so smart.

Thank goodness you don't put such stock in comicbooks, or you'd have us praying to Magneto.

You're a smart monkey. You're a clever little monkey, yes you are.

I mean, essentially, you're trying to make the case that the Earth is like 12,000 years old, right?

    Smaaaaaart monkey.

And Cee, just so you're aware....

Heavier elements, like Uranium, form in just one place. The belly of a big, fat star. They form as the core fuels of the star begin to get used up in the process of maintaining a sustainable fusion reaction.

So, how do we find so much of the stuff here on Earth?

Perhaps it's because there was a star here before the Sun. One that went nova.

Funny how your creation myth doesn't address that little problem.

Maybe you're right. Maybe God is a big practical joker who leaves a complete fossil record and chunks of decaying radioactive heavy metals lying around all over the place simply as a test of our faith.

Then again, maybe you're just a self-deluded dimwit, desparately clinging to faith in an effort to not feel so alone and insignificant.

"Ideally, in order to do this, each specimen tested needs to have been sealed in a jar with thick lead walls for all its previous existence, supposedly millions of years.

But in actual field conditions, there is no such thing as a closed system. One piece of rock cannot for millions of years be sealed off from other rocks, as well as from water, chemicals, and changing radiations from outer space."

Actually, this is one of the reasons why scientists use Zircon as their test subject - Zircon has proven to be resitant to almost all known forms of natural alteration - from erosion and water seepage to high-end metamorphic effects such as meterorite strikes and radioactive bombardment. The only known way that Zircon breaks down is as the Uranium decays, it gradually and slowly breaks apart the crystal lattice of the rocks.

And I'll notice you skipped the other part of my analysis regarding cosmochronology (which uses radioactive half-life analysis of Uranium and Thorium present in deep space. Then, of course, there is the classic Hubble's Law analysis which explains the gradual expansion of the universe - for if the universe were a closed and static system then every line of sight from Earth would end in a star and the sky would be just as bright as a star.

    broadsword is easily dispensed with....

"You will find some nice complex amino acids"

Functioning Proteins do not equal amino acids, idiot.

Has any scientist manufactured a functioning enzyme with the process you just mentioned?

    No

And what will those complex amino acids do as they sit at the bottom of that container......

    Absolutely nothing.

Do the same thing 10 to the 9000000 ......what will those complex amino acids do.........

    Absolutely nothing.

The amino acid is NOTHING unless it is put together with millions of other possible combinations of amino acids to form a FUNTIONING protein that has to be replicated a billion more times in the same structure to form a tissue...all waiting for Natural Selection to deem it progress.....how much time is needed for that one tissue that will form an entire mutlicellular organism...all from random mutations of a code that needs to be replicated exactly as before, a million times over, without mistake.....

oh yeah....don't forget to evolve that transcriptase enzyme (another very complicated protein made up of a specific series of amino acids that is still sitting at the bottom of your container....

How many years? 10 trillion? 100 trillion? 999,999 trillion years?.....

I need more faith to believe an amino acid will be replicated over and over again and be placed in the right sequence with many more amino acids to form more than just a ball of goo.....it needs to FUNCTION....A PURPOSE....

Mmmmm... no comennt about a self-fixing molecule that has occurred at least 3 times.....RNA, DNA, mitochodrial DNA...mmmmm....what are the odds for all of that.

Mmmmm... no comment on how a multicellular organism can be formed under the only creative influence of natural selection....the individual cell migrates in 3D space to a position fuctional for the growing organism.....How? Mmmmm....no answer.

The simple plant is an organism composed of adult cells that form from stem cells....again "knowing" spatial orientation....How?

How does the root know to grow in one direction and the shaft the other direction?

    Mmmm....answers please!

When you have that answer, let me know..

For what has happened, Vegas odds, the Earth needs to be about 6 to the 400 power years old...

Where's that rock.....I am sure your "dating" techniques will verfy that age!

Your theory needs more blind faith then my wonderful belief in Jehovah!

Dogma is dogma no matter if it comes from Genesis or Richard Dawkin's tomb.

So, Cee, um....didja go crazy all at once, or was it a slower, more gradual process?

Your faith has nothing to do with Science.

Get that straight and you might actually find some answers, instead of trying to use Science to justify your faith...

That's what you're doing here, right?

I'd suggest more study, maybe some valium, and certainly less church. Getting laid probably wouldn't kill you, either.

    That's all you have?

    Wow, how easy was that.

One guy continues with assumptions that results in an estimated age of the universe younger than some of the stars observed by Hubble, and another simply surrenders by claiming I am crazy and I should go have sex with my wife!

EE...if you are going down the road of cosmology....good luck....you need more faith for that stuff then believing in the 7 day creation....

"New cosmological theories are rife, more so today than ever before. In fact they are more exotic than ever. Maybe ‘exotic’ is the word they deliberately use to disguise the truth of how ‘way out’ some of their models are, yet the very word actually hints at that. There are models that start before the big bang, where the universe supposedly arose from a fluctuation that may continually occur creating multiple universes, an infinite number that makes anything possible. But there is not a shred of experimental evidence for these theories, only fairies in the bottom of the garden. The article says

"‘Many varieties of these particles [that would comprise dark matter left over from the big bang] are predicted by theories of high-energy physics. But their existence has not been confirmed or detected in particle accelerators. “We theorists can invent all sorts of garbage to fill the universe,” Dr. Sheldon Glashow, a Harvard physicist and Nobel laureate, told a gathering on dark matter in 1981.’

"There are the string theories, with M-branes, P-branes etc but these theories require energies greater than the Sun can deliver to test them.

"Finally I quote from a paper posted to the Los Alamos pre-print archive on 1 August 2002 with the abstract stating that some assumptions of the inflation model lead to deep paradoxes ...

‘Present cosmological evidence points to an inflationary beginning and an accelerated de Sitter end. Most cosmologists accept these assumptions, but there are still major unresolved debates concerning them. For example, there is no consensus about initial conditions. Neither string theory nor quantum gravity provide a consistent starting point for a discussion of the initial singularity or why the entropy of the initial state is so low. ... Some unknown agent initially started the inflation high up on its potential, and the rest is history.’

"What hope have we to get a resolution then? The article asks:

‘Moreover there are some questions that scientists still do not know how to ask, let alone answer, scientifically. Was there anything before the Big Bang? Is there a role for life in the cosmos? Why is there something rather than nothing at all? Will we ever know?’"

    http://www.creationontheweb.com/content/view/1559/

I would no more rely on a date based on Hubble's Law as it is presently understood then on broadsword ability to have a serious discussion.

    Speaking of broadsword....

I am very calm, broadsword...patiently waiting for you to explain to me how the millions of different, very complicated proteins evolved from amino acids?

How about ATP....let's discuss how Natural Selection could have resulted in the cell's energy source.

    I'll try one more time....

How did life exist before ATP?

How could life survive without ATP since no form of life we know of today can do that?

How could ATP evolve and where are the many transitional forms required to evolve the complex ATP molecule?

I'll answer my own question since you seem incapable of defending yourself....

There is no feasible candidates existing and none can exist because only a perfect ATP molecule can properly carry out its role in the cell.

A potential ATP candidate molecule would not be selected for by evolution until it was functional and life could not exist without ATP or a similar molecule that would have the same function. ATP is an example of a molecule that displays irreducible complexity which cannot be simplified and still function. ATP could have been created only as a unit to function immediately in life and the same is true of the other intricate energy molecules used in life such as GTP.

ATP's origin must be explained. We know only four basic methods of producing ATP: in bacterial cell walls, in the cytoplasm by photosynthesis, in chloroplasts, and in mitochondria. No transitional forms exist to bridge these four methods by evolution. According to the concept of irreducible complexity, these ATP producing machines must have been manufactured as functioning units and they could not have evolved by Darwinism mechanisms. Anything less than an entire ATP molecule will not function and a manufacturing plant which is less then complete cannot produce a functioning ATP. Some believe (including myself) that the field of biochemistry which has achieved this understanding has already falsified the Darwinian world view.

So EE, broadsword, keep trying....science only goes so far and does not really answer the tough questions. Unlike what secularists would have the less educated believe, humankind is no closer to knowing the origins of life and the universe as was Newton.....Why? They think they can know it without revelation from God.

Will I hear the crickets again?

You didn't address the points I made about Zircon being resistant to most forms of alteration that you described, such as meteorite strikes and erosion, and that the only force that causes Zircon to change is the internal decay of the Uranium contained inside its structure (which is what is used for radiometric dating).

No matter what decay dating method one uses, EE, it is ASSUMED by the scientist that the decay rate is CONSTANT through billions of years (how could one not assume this) and it is ASSUMED the mother compound was without daughter compounds from "Day 1," whether that be from formation by some supernova explosion OR the creator formed the matter. Assumptions can be agreed upon by as many scientists as you can gather at a symposium....but assumption is still just as powerful as a belief.

How do you explain large amounts of helium being present in the zircon testing...that if it is arguably assumed the inert gas would dissipate over the billions of years of existence, the dating still shows the zircons to be much younger than the radioactive data would suggest.

The naturalistic Darwinian Evolutionists also assume things through billions of years, but yet claim their theory has attained such acceptance as to be undeniable fact. This is still DOGMA! It's still the pot calling the kettle black when scientists with a party line say that any dissent is not acceptable....

just like man caused climate change

just like the ethical discussion regarding nascent human life

These are dogmas to the secular left and they are just as poisonous and damaging to the human spirit as any ecclesiastical order from on high. I cringe as I hear debates in the public school system by the radical left and right who spew hate to advance their political goals.

EE, try to be objective and see the behavior of leftist zealots for what it has wrought on our world.

I am accused of being a monkey, a flat-earther, a buffoon, a bad physician, a whatever because I believe Jehovah created the universe. Lots of soul damging hate speech there, am I not correct?

I have heard it all before in small college classrooms and whispered in the halls outside....I saw it as no different from the behavior of religious zealots in a church who hold a different theology from me.

Still, I memorized the data and learned the scientific concepts...even saw some of it "discovered" in the laboratory and earned nearly a 4.0 GPA for my work. The ridicule was more important than the career advancing grades, however. It toughened me up and I stand proud to say the data did not and still does not convince me that Genesis, or any portion of the scriptures, cannot be logically used to explain my origins.

So please remember that the science so elevated by the secular humanist assumes (believes) many, many, many things yet to be confirmed or proven....Just because a label is placed on it called "science" does not mean its IMPOSITION on the psyche of loving people does not do great damage to their lives. Don't assume (believe) for a N.Y. minute this weapon of hate applies to me.....But it does apply to many innocent, loving and caring people who do not need to be violently dragged into your world of scientific assumption and uncertainty.

    crickets....again........
