Two points. One,the median age of Olbermann's audience is in it's 50's. He came in approximately 18th-20th in the "coveted" demo for the last month, that's hardly setting the ratins world on fire, no matter how "desirale" that audience is. Thirdly, the much-talked about "most dvr'ed show" is crap. Advertisers don't use that ratings data to buy advertising. They know that a high majority of DVR recorders never watch or fast-forward through the ads.

Secondly, It is my fearless prediction that Olbermann will either say or do something outrageous that will end up getting him fired, either on air or off-air. Or both. He has a real history of letting his ego run wild, then he strikes out at those around him, and loses whatever suppor he might have once had with the executives of the network. At some point, NBC will grow weary of dealing with his outsized ego and his outrageous antics and they'll cut him loose just like every other employer he's ever had has done in the past. It's not a question of "if", it's a question of "when".

Olberman's hardly the most objective journalist in history, but he is a very refreshing change of pace from the long list of conservative talk show hosts that are undereducated and uninterested in presenting all the facts of the matter. The latest fluff about Al Gore's energy bill is just another example of how little people care about the facts.

I thought this site was more than just an attempt to get KO knocked off the air. There is a higher calling to expose Keith for what he really is!!

Perhaps you should turn a more attentive eye to our media. Read up on what they leave out. Question why they leave it out. The quick sound bite is not good reporting. Lack of context is not good reporting. Cutting your opponents off in debate (O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, Carlson) because you don't want to listen to their point, let alone agree, is the entrenched 'norm' in our media right now.

Just look at the coverage the troops are getting. We slash benefits, pay private contractors ten times what our troops get, and don't give aid to the troops coming home. "Support the troops" all those personalities I listed continually spout, yet do any of them bother to do some research as to how the troops are getting screwed? No. They don't support the troops. They support the idea of supporting the troops, because doing actual research is too much work for too little reward... ratings, ratings, ratings.

At least on those shows there is a debate not just one thought process with parrot talking points.

It's funny most of the people you name have better ratings than your boy Olby. Maybe it's your message, free thinking people would like to hear all sides.

According to numerous media sources the average viewing age of Bill O'Reilly is 71 and Olbermann's is 58.
