"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)
Host: Keith Olbermann
Topics/Guests:
The opening spiel focused on The Great Leak Case and the "16 words", Ari Fleischer the "liar", Cheney the "shadow President", Barack vs Clinton, the man who survived a nonfunctioning parachute, and, of course, Anna Nicole Smith. This Hour of Spin is going to be a bumpy ride.
Leading off with "Mister" Cheney, Olby claimed he "dominated the trail" today. KO tossed off the key defense testimony by six reporters--that Libby had never discussed Plame with them--by suggesting it was irrelevant ("never mind that he is on trial for perjury, not the leak itself"). Heaven forbid he actually explain that the purpose of the testimony was to rebut the prosecution's theory that Libby was point man in a deliberate effort to leak that information, and as such could hardly have forgotten it. Those six witnesses rebut that claim, which is precisely why Monkeymann tossed off the importance of their testimony with no explanation other than a snarky jab. It's why we call it The Hour of Spin.
Instead, Fat Ass redirected the discussion to the "16 words". Um Keith, Libby isn't being charged with writing, approving, or having anything to do with the 16 words. Never mind, to Olby it's proof of another elaborite White House lie. Slippery Shuster popped up. Now what exactly did he have to say about those six reporters and the import of their testimony? All together now: Nothing! All the unreliable hack did is blather on about the 16 words, Richard Armitage, Dick Cheney, and how the White House lied. How clever. How elegant. When the day's testimony makes points that favor Libby, ignore them and change the subject! Great thanks.
When KO's favorite criminal, felon John Dean, slithered in, Herr Olbermann (ironically) asked if it's possible Cheney "acted illegally" in declassifying information. Even the disbarred lawyer remembered that Cheney had that authority by executive order and dashed Olby's hopes. Keithy Boy got him on friendlier ground with talk about Cheney's "shadow Presidency", and the felon hoped to see the Veep "stumble" on the stand. There was more talk about "bashing the media" (initiated by the same Keith Olbermann who does exactly that just about every evening at 8:48 pm) and a good time was had by all. Great thanks to the disbarred lawyer.
#4: the new intel about Iran's weapons in Iraq. Here's a stumper for you: will Edward R Olbermann accept the photos and evidence provided by the US military, or will he side with Iran's dictator who insists none of this is true? Take your time; we know it's a tough call. OK, you know he sided with Ahmadinejad, and dragged in far-lefty Juan Cole to pooh pooh the whole notion that Iran is an enemy, that they would ever give weapons to terrorists in Iraq. For crying out loud, does every guest on Countdown have to parrot the same opinion: Olbermann's? Sheesh.
After making a joke about his despicable slander of Albert Pujols, rather than apologizing for it (which he never did), we got the latest on Hillary and Obama but not Giuliani, Romney, or McCain. PM Howard of Australia, a country that has been a steadfast ally of the US, was bashed as trying to "shape the American agenda" of the next election because of his critical words about Obama. Olby twice emphasized that Howard's son campaigned for Bush. Aha! Clips of Hillary (D), Obama (D) and no Republicans. Immediately Quiche suggested to The Wolffe Man that Howard was simply a "proxy" for the GOP, and Wolffie praised Obama's "zinger" back at Howard, which is the type of "diplomacy" KO approves of when it involves a "right-winger down under". Olby reminisced again about "when I interviewed" Hillary, and neither mentioined the Obama statement referenced below (Dogs that did not bark). We thought there were Republicans running for President too. Must be our mistake; there was nothing in this discussion to that effect. Great thanks.
#2: A skydiver survives despite a failed parachute (regurgitated video from The Today Show), O'Reilly mentioned at the Grammies, the heroic Dixie Chicks, and 2007 baseball cards. #1: Anna Nicole Smith. In the Media Matters Minute, Bill Donahue was deemed to be "garbage" [Olbersaurus!] and his Catholic League "notorious", because Donahue wants two religion-hating bloggers fired from the Edwards campaign. As is typical, "Man on Fan" Olbermann, rather than telling us what the bloggers wrote that was so incendiary, instead dug up a years-old quote from Donahue to change the subject to him! (Blue Blog Source: Media Matters) The spin starts here.
Dogs that did not bark: For months Olbermann has delighted in speculating about how the six-party talks with Korea would fail, inviting in guests who made the same dire prediction. Today there was a breakthrough, and, with the same predictability as the law of gravity, Krazy Keith spiked the story. Other news that Olbermoronn censored: An Egyptian MP wants to nuke Israel. John Kerry insists that Iranian weapons are being transported to Iraq. Barack Obama just told every gold star family that the lives of soldiers killed in Iraq have been wasted. Oil prices fall, and revenues rise cutting the federal deficit in half. Finally, Herr Olbermann has attacked Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly for making statements about the war, such as Mr Bill's comment that Iraq should be ruled with an iron hand, Saddam-style. Yet one talk show host has gone way beyond that, advocating the bombing of the holy city of Mecca! You will note Olby has carefully avoided mentioning this, let alone handing out a "worst person" award. And you know why. Just another reason why the Olbermann Manhood Quotient remains: limp.
Olbermann's book The book that bears Olberman's name stands at #3,851 at amazon.com, while "Culture Warrior" is #216. (It's gotta be that 2-for-$25 sale!) The OlbyTome is #2,716 at Barnes & Noble; O'Reilly's book is #601 there, and is now in its 19th week on the New York Times bestsellers list. Oh my. On Friday The Hour of Spin finished in a humiliating fourth place both in total viewers and in the critical, beloved, all-important, coveted "key demo". How long will it be until Keith's writers fire up another Speshul Education Komment? Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 1 [LOW]
You just knew that Tehran Keith would find lame excuses to defend his Iranian Islamofascist buddies who are arming Shias in Iraq. Again, right on schedule, Olby.
Why not, nameless. When youconfer agreement to a column that slanders and patronizes the troops in Iraq, you might as well go pro-Ahmadenijad.
Wow, it's not that he distrusts or doesn't believe his own government.
That's fine. Journalists should challenge what the American government - Republican led or Democratic led - claims.
It's that he apparently believes the Iranian government's claims.
I guess there are no ratings in being equally sceptical; since we all know that Bushco and the neocons are the greatest threat facing mankind that's every existed. If he diverges from that narrative, 90% of his leftwing viewers would turn him off.
YesBut: I do not think that Keith Olbermann is doing it for the ratings. If he wanted to be apart of the ratings anarchy, he would work at FOX News. Obviously he wants less war thus some-sort of less meaness to Iran is in order for his type.
Keith's defense of the Iranians was truly extraordinary. Does he really hate Bush that much? So much that he'll stand up for the Iranians, in spite of all the evidence against them?
#2: A skydiver survives despite a failed parachute (regurgitated video from The Today Show)
---------------------------------------------------
Oh, I swear, Keith Olbermann... you are thee most pathetic anchorman in terms of how much of a stranglehold that the upper management have on you. Will you sink as low as to accept clips from the today show which:
A: Is a lame morning entertainment outlet .
&
B: Is a day stale from 9:00 am ?!?
I mean --- come on! You really are the lamest person on television. Your journalism is not fresh or vibatious, you act like a bigshot (although not as bad as O' Reilly acts...), and you add nothing new to the debate.
David Schuster can count to sixteen
Legal expert is felon John Dean
The duo of hack
And Mister Thumb Tack
Make "news" into something obscene
So OWUB, KO is the "lamest person on television", but not as lame as O'Reilly?
Does anybody here actually know how John Dean became a 'felon'? I doubt it. It's better to just believe he's a bad guy, like most felons are, than it is to learn the truth.
Keith Olbermann is the lamest, dryest person on television.
Bill O' Reilly is the most stuck up, egotistical, thinks that he is the smartest, most righteous man on television. Bill O' Reilly thinks that everything that he does is so smart and just the most important things ever stated and that his yammering can make the world a better place. Huh---
"Thumbtack" is about as reliable as a used condom.
I take some time off from my lovely vacation to see Olbermann is as pathetic as ever....I read the Edwards blog comments....
http://www.powers-point.com/2007/02/are-you-kidding.html
Nice attitude towards the way Yeshuah came to us to express God's love for us (Valentines Day is two days away!).
Although I must say some of the leftist troglodytes on this site have come pretty close to besting the Edwards supporters.
Why no WPITW for such hatred from the "unbiased" Olbermann? Why no words of condemnation from the likes of Sir Loin of Milquetoast, Rosie (Bushkill) or even Professor Honeydew (Bob)?
I think it is because they actually agree with the posters.
It is interesting that liberals never have fits over anti-Christian hate speech. What a world it would be if they actually had power over their fellow.
They keep on trying, though...

Ha ha!
I wonder what the Lefties will say now. Olbermann defending Iran. I told you guys so. Olbermann is Pro-Iran. Right now all the Lefties are getting their talking points to defend Olbermann. Teheran Keith is a stooge for Ahmadinejad! I'm out for the evening, but to piss the Left off.
Exterminate Iran Milosevic style!
Does anybody here actually know how John Dean became a 'felon'? I doubt it. It's better to just believe he's a bad guy, like most felons are, than it is to learn the truth.
Posted by: Woogy at February 12, 2007 9:32 PM
Let me guess. I bet he became a felon by commiting a criminal act.
John Dean
Tell me again why Anybody should care what a convicted felon has to say about anything? I would be more interested in what the views of my mailman were.
"Does anybody here actually know how John Dean became a 'felon'?"
He was involved in the sending of hush money to the Watergate burglars in an attempt to silence them about the White House involvement in the break in.
What's your point?
Did KO say anything about the defense for Libby subpoenaing Andrea Mitchell to speak about her statement on MSNBC that Valerie Wilson role in the CIA "was widely known among those of us who cover the intelligence community." which could be used contradict Tim Russert?
If they do her testimony cold help Libby..which would be ironic if MSNBC is the key to help get Libby off...O'l KO would just lose it. :)
I Olbermann is a propaganda tool of Hillary Clinton, but is he really a stooge of Iran.
Looking back, the worst conservative in the world is not too pretty either. Why not award the Edwards' bloggers the worst person in the world for today? Rather than just bashing the plaintiff in the matter? Oh yeah, I forgot... Keith Olbermann is a schill.
Now that this idiot is getting totally destroyed in the ratings, agreeing with the article ripping the troops, and siding with Iran against our country, how can Abrams give him a new contract? Somebody higher up in the NBC food chain has got to see that he is making the news division look like fools.
Very well put, Obama Watch Us Bicker.

His "criminal act" was to help cover up for Nixon as his general council, the last secretive, power grabbing president we endured. Did you know that?
His later contribution to good in this world was becoming the single strongest witness against Nixon, and he may well have been the straw that broke the camels back in the Watergate scandal. Did you know that?
Call him a felon all you want. It's a fact, but knowing WHY he is a felon is important. I personally think he mitigated himself well.
Because of his background, this man might just have more insight as to what is going on behind the closed doors of this secretive White House than anybody else.
Fitgerald wil get thrown under the proverbial bus if Libby is aquitted. He will be labeled as a right wing hack that didn't go far enough.
I say, Ol' Big Macc should go for demanding 4 million dollars from his superiors for lame, patronizing, and predictable news stories, but kissin' guests, and for being a lazy wannabe protege` (of Edward R. Morrow).
"His "criminal act" was to help cover up for Nixon as his general council,"
He didn't cover up for Nixon at all.
He was involved in sending hush money - approved by Nixon - to the burglars in an attempt to buy their silence about the involvement of CREEP in their activities.
That was obstruction of justice.
Nixon had no knowledge of the break in. Dean did. There is some evidence that he ordered it. Other evidence points that he didn't.
In any event, he did many more terrible things as White House counsel than simple approve hush money.
"contribution to good in this world was becoming the single strongest witness against Nixon"
Because he had a heartfelt change of thought?
Or because he cut a deal with the government for a lesser sentence?
Which do you think?
I can't look inside his heart or head.
Hey Woogy, do you know how Dean became a felon? Spent 4 months in the pen? (a gift). Typical lib remark. It doesn't matter how he became a felon AND had his law license revoked (just like Bill Clinton), the point is he is a felon and would be better suited in a Mickey D's uniform. Blame, scapegoat and divert, liberal's are so good at it. Hey Keithy boy, nice job, you piece o' dog sh-t..........Deplorable, as usual.
He definitely cut a deal, and I believe sending hush money to buy silence qualifies as participating in a cover up.
Yes, I'm quite certain he cut a deal, wouldn't you? That doesn't diminish his role in helping to bring this man down though, nor would it diminish the insight he might have as to what might be happening now.
"do you know how Dean became a felon?"
The point is, of course, that if Dean were in any way defending or supporting the Republicans today, Keith Olbermann would NEVER have him on his show.
The only reason Olbermann has Dean on is to smear the White House or conservatives.
Smearing without allowing a counter point or dissenting point of view on the "news show".
Because of his background, this man might just have more insight as to what is going on behind the closed doors of this secretive White House than anybody else.
Posted by: Woogy at February 12, 2007 9:53 PM
And Bill Clinton might just have a special insight about the crazy NASA lady and love triangles.
Jeff spews out:
"typical lib remark"
Yeah damned them 'libs'! They keep seeing nuance when every fool knows its really all black and white.
"you piece of dog sh-t"
Typical right winger response, spew out mindless profanity, and then call the OTHER guy 'deplorable!
Olbermann may have even more insight about angry ex lovers. Guess that makes him an expert on the crazy NASA lady.
It just might!
"I believe sending hush money to buy silence qualifies as participating in a cover up."
Yes, I agree; but it wasn't a cover up FOR Nixon.
It was a coverup for the involvement of the White House, including himself, in the break in and bugging.
Nixon had no knowledge of the break in. Dean did.
The money that was sent to the burglars would have covered up the activities of Dean and others in CREEP (Committee to Re-elect the President).
It can be argued - I'm not necessarily making it - that he was a stool pigeon who turned on his former friends and colleagues.
In any event, I think I'd want a source with, let's say, a less questionable past commenting on matters today. There are lots of other commentators with a less sordid history.
Is it me or does that photo of Olby look like he just interviewed Bubba Billy again and he doesn't know whether to spit or swallow?
Johnny Dollar reopenned wounds that have healed.
hey woogy, your last remark would fall in the "divert" category, proving me right.
I ask this question.
Is Olbermann really an Iran stooge?
"Is Olbermann really an Iran stooge?"
If he is, once they see those ratings they'll be mighty teed off.
Maybe even, dare I say, go nuclear?
John Dean should be believed because he was inside the White House when Repubi-thugs ruled the country and he knows what they are like- ruthless and hungry for war. John Dean is an expert on the Reubli-puke personality and war-like mentality and thier ways of being corrupt.
So what that John Dean got covicted? Ollie North got convicted too (he only got off on a technicality) so North isn't any better than John Dean. John Dean has written several books on how the Republi-pukes are doing all kinds of unconstitutional and low down stuff, much worse than the Democrats ever dreamed of.
It says a lot about how much clout that Keith has that he get an expert insider like John Dean to come on his show and give insights. Nobody else can get John Dean, so Olbermann is really making you Olby haters look bad by getting some guests that really know what they are talking about.
Why would Olbermann support Iran against America? Is he part Persian?
Olbyperv has no ratings, he went from dead last below nobodys to next to dead last. When you're beat by Nancy Grace, I wouldn't be jumping w/too much joy.
It says a lot about how much clout that Keith has that he get an expert insider like John Dean to come on his show and give insights. Nobody else can get John Dean, so Olbermann is really making you Olby haters look bad by getting some guests that really know what they are talking about.
Posted by: at February 12, 2007 10:23 PM
Now I am confused. Are you saying that John Dean are expert insiders? Or is Dean an expert and not North?
It says a lot about how much clout that Keith has that he get an expert insider like John Dean to come on his show and give insights.
************************************
Some could say the same adout Dick Morris he was a Clinton insider and he knows how the Dems think and he's been warning about the dangers if Hill wins.
Nobody else can get John Dean, so Olbermann is really making you Olby haters look bad by getting some guests that really know what they are talking about
*************************************
Dean's been on with O'Reilly too...So KO doesn't have that much clout...or talent..or ratings...or.. well I could go on.
The way Keith Olbermann sticks to his guests --- you would think that they all were "expert insiders". They are not. Just spineless cowardly yes men that do not think for themselves, endlessly promoting Keith Olbermann. They might as well call him "da-da".
(he only got off on a technicality) Was Ollie convicted or did he get off on a technicality? Explain your post "no name". I am confused. Proving me right again, blame, scapegoat and divert. Tho only roads the libs know.
"get an expert insider like John Dean to "
John Dean hasn't been involved in politics for more than 30 years.
He knows squat about today's matters.
More important, the terrible things done by the Nixon White House were done against domestic political opponents and were done for political gain by Nixon.
There in absolutely no evidence that the Bush White House's policies are in any way directed at domestic opponents. They are all directed at terrorists who wish to kill you reading this and me.
Where Keith Olbermann is on that list is anyone's guess.
> Ollie North got convicted too (he only got off on a technicality)
Yeah, that technicality is called The Court of Appeals. And FYI, if his conviction was reversed, then he WASN'T convicted. John Dean is a felon. North is not. Get it?
Johnny Dollar: The real deal ---> G. Gordon Liddy. (He was actually incarcerated for Watergate related scandals.)
Speaking of North and how he was convicted, and "then he WASN'T convicted".
Then by your logic, I guess you must also believe that OJ is not a murderer because he wasn't convicted?
No, OJ technically is not a felon, but he sure is slime.
Shrub's biggest fear when he became President was that he would be compared unfavorably with Poppy. The Bush's do put the "dys" in "dysfunctional". His fears were unfounded, and Shrub is being compared to R. Milhaus, and most of those comparisons are coming, implicitly or expressly from Republicans and Conservatives. I think that is terribly, terribly unfair to R. Milhaus. Shrub is a far more accomplished liar, and he has no identifiable success in office. If we say nothing else about R. Milhaus, we all say he "discovered" China. I think it is safe to say that R. Milhaus is in the upper 30's of worst Presidents. In Texas, we often say, "thank God for Mississippi," when we are talking about state rankings in various statistical fields. Shrub is undoubtedly saying, "thank God for Warren G Harding." But, Shrub has a bit less than two (2) years left. That is a huge opportunity to screw up even more. I have every confidence Shrub will seize that opportunity.
Woogy: O.J. was close to becoming an author...
M Schultz,
The President of Iran is great guy right?
"The only reason Olbermann has Dean on is to smear the White House or conservatives."
Smearing to the right wing demogogues is really telling the truth about them. God , they hate the truth !
Olbermann is proof positive that the libs hate republicans more than people like Ahmadenijad who want to destroy the United States. Keep cozying up to people like Ahmadenijad, Keith. The blood of the people he murders will be on your hands as well. Keep siding with tyrants and thugs over your own country. There is no debating with liberals. They hate conservatives more than murderers and terrorists. Great Thanks
CBS) Two-thirds of Americans say the fighting in Iraq may be beyond the U.S. military's ability to control, according to the latest CBS News poll. Just 25 percent say the military can be effective in lessening the violence between Iraqis.
The war continues to take a toll on opinions about President Bush – his approval rating for handling Iraq is just 27 percent, and his overall job approval is just 32 percent – but the public is divided when it comes to what Congress should do about the war.
While 63 percent disapprove of the president's plan to send more troops to Iraq, there's a nearly even split on whether Congress should pass a nonbinding resolution expressing disapproval of the troop buildup: 44 percent favor passage of the measure and 45 percent are opposed.
CAN U.S. MILITARY BE EFFECTIVE IN LESSENING FIGHTING BETWEEN IRAQIS?
Yes
25%
No
67%
A majority, 53 percent, thinks Congress should either block all funding for the war, or block funding for sending more troops; 42 percent think Congress should allow all funding for the war.
John Dean wrote the book "Conservatives Without Conscience", and he should know . He had a ring side seat.In his book, John Dean employs his distinctive knowledge and understanding of Washington politics to examine the conservative radical Republican leaders - from Capitol Hill to Pennsylvania Avenue to K Street and beyond. The author not only highlights specific right-wing-driven GOP policies but also probes the conservative mind-set, identifying recurring qualities such as the unbridled viciousness toward those daring to disagree with them, as well as the big business favoritism that costs taxpayers billions. Dean identifies specific examples of how court packing is seeking to form a judiciary that is activist by its very nature, how religious piety is producing politics run amok, and how concealed indifference to the founding principles of liberty and equality is pushing America further and further from its constitutional foundations. To not give away the details, this is a perfect book for those who want to know what's happening at the top levels of the Republican Party. The author presents his text to show what the current right-wing authoritarian is thinking when conflated with the dominating personalities of the conservative leadership that could take the United States toward its own version of fascism. This is a MUST READ book for those who want to learn more about the United States Republican Party and its effect to our society. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Olbermann is proof positive that the libs hate republicans more than people like Ahmadenijad"..
This is the kind of illogical logic we constantly face from the right.
However, Factor, to put a little light on this strange comparison you just cited: Ahmadenijad simply WANTS to destory the United States, and he could ONLY succeed in doing that if we helped him do it. That said, certain high level republicans are currently IN THE PROCESS of destroying the United States - as we speak!
Do you get it yet, Factor?
That's peculiar because I wrote a sentence Called- "John Dean is a disbarred, ex-con, liberal propagandist." Nobody worth a damn is going to read Dean's pathetic tome. Thank You though for your off topic book recommendation Oprah.
IT'S NO LAUGHING MATTER , GEORGE !
At a farewell reception at Blair House for the retiring chief of protocol, Don Ensenat, who was President Bush's Yale roommate, the president shook hands with Washington Life Magazine's Soroush Shehabi. "I'm the grandson of one of the late Shah's ministers," said Soroush, "and I simply want to say one U.S. bomb on Iran and the regime we all despise will remain in power for another 20 or 30 years and 70 million Iranians will become radicalized."
"I know," President Bush answered.
"But does Vice President Cheney know?" asked Soroush.
President Bush chuckled and walked away.
There is no question who is calling the shots in the White House.
The demasculated George Bush is mostly just a bystander.
Why do you Lefties always defend the Iranians. What's so great about them?
I am glad that Bush walked away. Who wants to take that kind of garbage from anyonw, Bob ?!?
The only thing sweeter than the Dixie Chicks winning 5 Grammies last night was Joan Baez introducing them.
One of their Grammies was for best country song: "Not Ready to Make Nice"
where they basically tell the empty headed closed minded right wing to go f--- themselves.
So sweet !
The Dixie Chicks may have their Grammies, but Bush has the launchers. Those are more way important!!!
Bob,
Why do you support the Iranian regime? I know Bush is a lousy President but to side with those nut jobs against our own country is insane! Please explain.
Woogy,
Why are you Pro-Iran. Why can't Americans put their differences asides and unite against the Fascists of Iran. Did you know Saad Bin Laden is there? I gues that doesn't matter. You'll just rant about the saudis, Pakistan and Halliburton but will give the Iranians a pass.
Bob,
Thre Grammies are Leftist/Pro-Islamic.
Of course Obama missed the whole point of the dialogue between Bush and Soroush.( as usual)
Since you missed it, here it is again:"One U.S. bomb on Iran and the regime we all despise will remain in power for another 20 or 30 years and 70 million Iranians will become radicalized."
Bush is stupid enough to do it, too !
Iran isn't a threat to anyone. They're a peaceful regime that wants world peace. I saw the interview with their President and was impressed with him. He's a great humanitarian!
Iran is one of the most Progressive regimes ever estblished!
I hope he does. Remember: They may get more radicalized, but they are already radicalized enough as it is.
Bob,
Thre Grammies are Leftist/Pro-Islamic.

This is the protoypical example of the mindset of the discredited and disgraced right wingers.
I guess the Joker doesn't listen to music, OR SEE MOVIES , since most of Hollywood is also left wing.
How does it feel to live in a bubble, Joker?
Or should we call you Bubbleboy !
"This is the protoypical example of the mindset of the discredited and disgraced right wingers."
I'm a liberal you fool. I guess anyone to the Right of Stalin is a Rightwinger huh?
Cal The Joker "bubbleoy". We will be calling Ahmadenijad "Rubbleboy"---
Obama wants another war.
Figures!
John Dean's book "Conservatives Without Conscience" applies to Obama Watch Him Spin !
Good. I will go out and read the book about me ;-)
THE IDIOTIC REPUBLICANS ARE AT IT AGAIN :
A bill introduced last week by Representative Lamar Smith (R-TX) is beginning to raise eyebrows.
[It] would require ISPs to record all users' surfing activity, IM conversations and email traffic indefinitely.
The bill, dubbed the Safety Act by sponsor Lamar Smith, a republican congressman from Texas, would impose fines and a prison term of one year on ISPs which failed to keep full records. (emphasis mine)
This is a terrifying development and it must be stopped before it gains any significant momentum. Background, Action items and contact information below the fold.
Under the guise of reducing child pornography, the SAFETY (Stopping Adults Facilitating the Exploitation of Today's Youth Act) Act is currently the gravest threat to digital privacy rights on the Internet. Given the increasing tendency of people, especially young people, to use the Internet as a primary means of communications, this measure would effect nearly all Americans in ways we are only beginning to understand. Also, given the fact that the Act requires all Internet Service Providers to record the web surfing activity of all Internet users, this amounts to the warrantless wiretapping of the entire Internet.
Does this worry you? Good. It should. If this continues, it is an OUTRAGEOUS violation of our privacy and civil liberties.
Bob and no name,
At least I don't defend the Fascists of Iran. Alot of us Liberal Democrats. are getting sick of you Leftist Progressives that are hijacking our party. You nuts spend all your time criticize this administartion. Why not criticize our enemies. We're all Americans. Whether Right or Left. Let's unite against this 7th Century radical cult and stop attacking each other.
That's the GOP's MO:To violate our privacies and civil liberties.
What could be more unamerican !
Look in the mirror, scumbags !
"Does this worry you? Good. It should. If this continues, it is an OUTRAGEOUS violation of our privacy and civil liberties. "
Stop being paranoid. You far Left loons make much ado about nothing. You stay silent on the abuses n Iran but exagerate some bill that's not even law!
The Joker is a joke !
Actually the GENERAL POPULATION of Iran are peaceful and quite PRO-American. The leader of Iran is quite a bit like our fearless leader, a religious blow-hard who's out of touch with his people.
I've got an idea. Those of you here who still have a hard-on for Bush can fight to the finish with Ahmadinejad and any supporters he has left in his country, and leave the general population of the United States and Iran to live in Peace and Harmony.
You'll hardly be missed.

yeah, let's wait until it's law, right?
Then you can say "Ho hum".
If you're a liberal, Joker, than Dan Quayle is a poet laureate.

the post of the day !
( almost as good as mine) (:

Us Democrats control Congress. So it aint gonna be law. As a Liberal I know you guys recieve those mass emailing to give you your marching orders.I recieve mailings from the Center for American Progress and other paranoid fringe groups. The Republicans aren't our enemies. It's Iran and Al-Qaeda! Yes, let's disagree with the Republicans. But they're Americans also. This deviciveness is destroying us and encouraging our enemies!
Joker-You spell just like Med Wolf.
Hmmmmmmmmmm...
"Actually the GENERAL POPULATION of Iran are peaceful and quite PRO-American. The leader of Iran is quite a bit like our fearless leader, a religious blow-hard who's out of touch with his people."
I actually agree with this. The best way to destroy the Iranian regime is to help the opposition and fund anti-Regime terrorist groups. Why not launch Pro-American suicide bombers. I'm not for military action against Iran, but destablization, I'm all for it! Let's support anti-Regime rebel groups.
Nolife Falls,
"If you're a liberal, Joker, than Dan Quayle is a poet laureate."
I'm a liberal. Not a Far Left Progressive neo-Com like you. I see America as fundamentally good, not flawed like you. That's the difference. FDR, Truman and Kennedy are my Idols. Not Stalin, Castro or Che.
Big Difference. I'm Center-Left not Far Left.
A question for my fellow Dems. We control Congress. What's there to mad about?
Your time is up Joker! How dare you attack Olbermann. In Gotham it's a crime!
I'm not worried about Iran nor Islamic terrorism.
We have more of a chance of getting hit by lightning than to be killed by a terrorist.
I'm more worried about our country being destroyed from within.
Bush gave it his best shot but now the the Democrats are in power in Congress, that threat has abated.
The climate of divisiveness the past 6 years has been one of the worst periods in our history.
His attempt to tear apart our Constitution has also been deplorable !
To all of you simpletons who keep saying why don't I criticize Iran or Al Qaeda etc...
I have no control over them.
I do have some control with my vote over what happens in my country.
No matter how attractive any republican candidate is, after 8 years of Bush and seeing how ineffective a GOP Congress was, there is no chance a Republican will be elected any time soon.
If there is anything slightly good Bush has done for this country, THAT is it !
Bushkill Falls, Pa
It's your attitude that the Radical Right feeds off. You contributed to the divisiveness of the last 15 years. The fact that you view fellow Americans who are philosophically opposed to you as an enemy and not Iran or Al-Qaeda shows how paranoid your thinking is. With that very thought process exposed, no one here will take you serious. So go ahead and keep posting hate against your fellow Americans. It's really sad you sympathize with Iran and Al-Qaeda against your own countrymen. You probably cheer and celebrate the death of every American in Iraq or Afghanistan. How sick.
A question for my fellow Dems. We control Congress. What's there to mad about?
Posted by: The Joker at February 13, 2007 12:38 AM
The joker doesn't understand the realities of the current political climate.
The executive branch is no longer in balance with the other two thanks to the GOP Congress sitting on their hands the last 6 years.
The GOP Congress has allowed this president unprecedented liberties that have not been reined in.
Yes, the Democratic Congress can make laws and have the power of the purse, but Bush is still driving this train off the tracks.
Bushco climate of fear in this country still prevails.
Common sense is a long way off, and we probably won't get there until a Democrat is elected in 08'.
And then there is this little thing called the Iraq War.
Each month is more deadly for our troops than the previous one.
You ask, what is there to be mad about?
Are you nuts ?
It's really sad you sympathize with Iran and Al-Qaeda against your own countrymen. You probably cheer and celebrate the death of every American in Iraq or Afghanistan. How sick.
Posted by: The Joker at February 13, 2007 12:51 AM
Show me where I said I sympathize with Iran or Al Qaeda, and your comment about the troops shows
you're an idiot, and a disgrace to all Americans.
Let's just call the Joker the Joe Lieberman of this site.
Loserkills,
Get a life and stop being paranoid. You are just an angry individual. Cheer up ok!
The Joker is a liberal in sheep's ( Republican) clothing.
I'm a pragmatist, and you're Joe Lieberman.
"I'm a pragmatist, and you're Joe Lieberman."
You a pragmatist. What a joke. You hate your fellow Americans more than our enemies. You are just an angry man that needs to get laid!
let's cheer up says Joe Lieberman:
The Joker's complacency is worse than the right wingers idiocy !
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Thunderous car bombs shattered a crowded marketplace in the heart of Baghdad on Monday, triggering secondary explosions, engulfing an eight-story building in flames and killing at least 78 people in the latest in a series of similar attacks aimed at the country's Shiite majority.
The blasts in three parked cars obliterated shops and stalls and left bodies scattered among mannequins and other debris in pools of blood. Dense smoke blackened the area and rose hundreds of feet from the market district on the east bank of the Tigris River. Small fires, fueled by clothing and other goods, burned for hours in the rubble-strewn street as firefighters battled blazes in two buildings.
"Where is the government? Where is the security plan?" survivors screamed. "We have had enough. We have lost our money and goods and our source of living."
The attack appeared timed to coincide with the first anniversary — on the Muslim lunar calendar — of the bombing of a Shiite shrine in the town of Samarra north of Baghdad, an al-Qaida provocation which unleashed the torrent of sectarian bloodletting that has gripped the capital for months.
Yes I know Bushkills. You are happy at the fact people are dying in Iraq. You probably cheer since it furthers your political view points. How sick. I'm out for the evening, but think about this, How does Iraq affect your personal life? Very little I bet. Good night!
Joker you must leave. How dare you defend Republicans! They are evil! Al-Qaeda and Iran are good!
Bushkills, I got your back!
The Joker is and remains a huge joke !
Posting the details of the horrors of the Iraq war shows I'm " happy people are dying in Iraq ?"
You disgust me.
Bushkill Falls, Pa,
I too hope more violence occurs in Iraq! That way our political views are furthered! By any means!
Go Al-Qaeda, Go Iran!
As the English philosopher Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing."
This quote reminds me of the Joker !
I'm happy people are dying in Iraq! It makes Bush and the Republicans look bad. Every death and bombing helps our cause! Go Al-qaeda in Iraq!
Keep up the good work! Bushkills and I are pulling for you!
And Batman and Robin should be hung by their balls.
I hope Al-Qaeda in Iraq kills more people so Bush's popularity declines further!
If they even have any!
Bushkills I'm on your side! I want more death in Iraq so Republicans look bad!
If this 'joker' character is not Red Wolf, it must be his mischievous little twin brother.
Oh Noooo! Not TWO Red Wolf's!
Another day, another slanderous attempt to link Barack Obama to the militant Muslim cause, this time by the Australian prime minister. A prime minister so intent on defeating terrorism that he has committed no less than 1,400 troops to fighting in Iraq, the exact amount of people I stand behind in line for coffee every morning.
I guess he's seen Crocodile Dundee one too many times; he actually believes one Australian with a really big knife can take out the population of New York. And then he goes too far:
"If I were running Al Qaeda in Iraq, I would put a circle around March 2008 and be praying as many times as possible for a victory, not only for Obama but also for the Democrats," John Howard said.
Number one, you can't even implement intelligent enough environmental legislation to keep the world's greatest wonder, your Barrier Reef, from disintegrating. You're the one who needs to circle March, 2008. That's about the time all the fish in your enchanted land of Brigadoon are going to start packing for Florida in order to continue to survive. I love a parade. The only thing you'll be tossing on the Barbie is silt.
Number two, Al Qaeda is working off a totally different calendar, and March 2008 is about seven hundred and fifty thousand pages ahead of the date they're working off of right now. By the way, I know you're on the other side of the world, but that still doesn't make your March our November.
Number three, "praying as many times as possible"? What are you, six? They pray five times a day, and I too hope they use all five daily prayer sessions to ask for a Democratic victory. Sadly though, most people in Iraq are probably too busy praying to survive another day of slaughter. However, I am sure if indeed you WERE the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, it would have taken the Bush regime only three years to beat your 1,400 troops.
This new attempt at a Barack/Muslim connection has me thinking. Glenn Beck is right on one thing (though for the wrong reason). Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) was no more correct in putting his hand on a Koran to be sworn in to the government of the United States than any other representative is correct in putting her/his hand on the bible, or Torah, or chicken bones and incense for that matter. Their hands should be placed on the Constitution of the United States of America, which they are swearing to uphold, protect, implement and defend. Swearing in is a legal ceremony, and religion should have nothing to do with it, especially in a country that espouses separation of church and state, however murky that constantly moving line is. If more government officials swore to the people, who they have to face now, instead of to god, who may or may not be waiting to meet your train, we might get more accountability.
Same with the courts. Swearing on a bible may mean nothing to many people. It's the threat of prosecution for perjury that controls truthful testimony. If people were sworn in with their hands on the Constitution, they might actually sweat.
I remember when Clarence Thomas was appointed to the Supreme Court. People magazine did a five page story on him. In every photo where he was reading, he was reading the bible. And I remember thinking to myself, even back then, with my focus more on trumpet players and Absolut than the workings of politics, I thought, gee, it would have been more confidence inspiring to see one picture of him reading the Constitution.
If some progressive organization raised enough money to leave a copy of the Constitution in every hotel room drawer, I'd bet that alone would be a great first step in re- educating a public that has been browbeaten into forgetting what to expect from the government it elects, the government that is there to serve it.
And to Prime Minister John Howard, don't worry about the Democrats, they're going to do fine. You need to work on your beer, your films, your knowledge of international election schedules, and oh yeah, saving your ocean.
The More chaos in Iraq the better for our cause. Power is what counts. So I cheer and celebrate the chaos in Iraq! It makes Bush look bad so that's a good thing. Hopefully Iraq is still going on in 2008 so Hillary and can win!
"If some progressive organization raised enough money to leave a copy of the Constitution in every hotel room drawer,"
I have a better idea. How about Mao's little read book or Karl Marx's Das Kapital!
"If some progressive organization raised enough money to leave a copy of the Constitution in every hotel room drawer,"
I have a better idea. How about Mao's little red book or Karl Marx's Das Kapital!
it just amazes me how the shah of Iranberrman can defend that country
In back to back shows, Keith has made people "Worst Person in the World" because they spoke out about this:
William Arkin (NBC News Military Analyst) : "American Troops fighting in Iraq are mercinaries who are receiving obscene ammenities and are lucky they are not spit upon"
Amanda Marcotte (John Edwards Website Operator) : "One thing I vow here and now you motherf***** who want to ban birth control will never sleep. I will f*** without making children day in and out and you will know it and you won’t be able to stop it. Toss and turn, you mean, jealous motherf******. I’m not going to be punished with babies. Which makes all your efforts a failure. Some non procreating women escaped. So give up now. You’ll never catch all of us. Give up now."
I would love to see Iranian terrorists show up at keiths door in the middle of the night (complete with 55 gallon drums of vaseline of course).
It 's only a matter of time before Olberlimp gives a blow job to Ahmadinejad, his "favorite person in the world".
Bush is the best president ever!!! Clinton and Olberlimpy helped terrorists cause 9/11!
The right wing denizens on this site have resorted to insurgency - there are so many insane posts planted under stolen names, multiple names, and no names that discussion becomes impossible. I leave them alone with their madness.
I wonder if you asked KO whether he feels more sympathy for the 3,000 victims lost in the WTC terrorist attack or the prisoners of war at Guantanamo for alleged torture by out troops, which he would choose.I can almost guarantee you he would say he feels more for the captives in Guantanamo, he is really a sick bastard and comptetely un-American. There's no way of defending him on this all you KO lovers (which is about the 3 of you in this world).

Your guarantees are useless, son...
they may be useless to you, but I'm sure the majority of people would agree with me on that statement.
Olby-haters, help me out here...
You say that Olbermann is a terrorist-lover; however, he isn't a republican. Therefore, he doesn't support the party who armed Iranian terrorists in the eighties. He doesn't support the party who tried to arm Saddam with bio-weapons in the eighties. He doesn't support the party that supported Saddam financially in the nineties. He doesn't support the party that tried to help Iran rebuild their F14s last year...
Odd, doncha think, kids?
Monkeyman,
How can most people agree on what somebody MIGHT say? It's ignorant, son...
WASHINGTON - A day after the U.S. military charged Iran's government with shipping powerful explosive devices to Shiite Muslim fighters in Iraq to use against American troops, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Monday that he hasn't seen any intelligence to support the claim.

Neither has ANYONE ELSE! Our administration currently has no credibility. We must not allow them to invent another war, and we must hold them acountable or the first.
how can you say that Republicans support terrorists, it's your party, specifically, Nancy Pelosi, that voted against a homeland security bill.If we left terrorism to the Dems., we would have had several more 9/11 incidents after 9/11. If there's one thing Bush is good at, it's protecting us from terrorism, hence no attacks in nearly 6 years now.
Yes, James....the left's apologists on this site are silent about their religious bigotry and their hatred of the troops (read military) because it is a BIG secret....shhhh! They try to show themselves as "main stream," but are really the same wacked radicals they have always been.
Even Obama let it slip the other day with his statement saying what he really thought about the sacrifices the military and their families have made to allow him to be a presidential candidate.....they wasted their lives.....seems consistent with the posts of the professor (Bob), Sir Loin of Milquetoast and many other leftists.
What a group!

Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration’s policies in Iraq. "Because of his background, this man (John Dean) might just have more insight as to what is going on behind the closed doors of this secretive White House than anybody else"
John Dean's background includes lying, a felony conviction, and disbarment... only Krazy Keith would have a legal expert guilty of OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. What a hoot.
M Schultz,
I read your response to my questions from yesterday, and your most recent post, and we agree on a few things. You say our military is in bad shape. I agree. You want our military built up. Me, too.
You say that it would have made more sense to invade Saudi Arabia than Iraq. Does that really mean you wanted us to invade Saudi Arabia? I did. You imply that if our military weren't in such bad shape that you would want us to attack Iran. Do you? I do. How about cruise missiles directed a Iranian military bases and only that for a start? Our "decimated" military could do that today.
You kind of deny being a Lefty but your use of the "Shrub" insult is right out of the Molly Ivins Texas liberal playbook. And your fixation on Bush's national guard service is, too. The screwball Texan accuser who scammed Dan Rather was able to do so because lefties are so desperate to take Bush down. You somehow think that bringing up the urban legend that he didn't fullfill his air guard duties, conflated with the Iraq deal, accomplishes something. It doesn't, and you look silly harping on it.
You want to reinstate the draft. Me, too. But Charlie Rangel wants the draft not because it is needed to build up our military so that we can win the War On Terror, but because he believes that it will shut down the War On Terror. He is insincere. I hope you are.
You want tax increases to finance the War On Terror. Most lefties who say they want tax increases do so because they believe it is another way to shut down the War On Terror. They are insincere, too. Are you? The fact of the matter is that if domestic spending in this country, for the last 30 years, had increased only as much as military spending, the total budget surpluse would by now be so high that Uncle Sam could live off the interest. There would no longer be any need for the federal income taxes. No, I am not an economist, but I make that assertion.
But I like reading your posts. They are interesting. Just try to loose the "Shrub" stuff.
"I remember when Clarence Thomas was appointed to the Supreme Court. People magazine did a five page story on him. In every photo where he was reading, he was reading the bible. EXACTLY ! The Bush appointees make decisions more on the Bible than what they are supposed to use as a guide : The Constitution !
That is the opposite what they should be doing !
And that bald-headed f--- Curley from the 3 Stooges is back spreading lies.
Please show me , Lapdog where I have EVER said the troops have "wasted their lives" or I have displayed religious bigotry in the context you are trying to say.
You LOVE to take comments out of context to support your failed president and failed war.
Also,Barack Obama did not mean what you jumped at , and you know it.
You see, I care more about the troops than you do.They are only a pawn for you and in Bush's game to send our young men and women to their deaths , while you sit on your sofa cheering them to their deaths.
This bald-headed f---, Lapdog has nothing...nothing but lies to make his points.
The screwball Texan accuser who scammed Dan Rather was able to do so because lefties are so desperate to take Bush down.
Rico is so clueless.
Bush has already taken himself down, all by his lonesome with his failed domestic and foreign policies.
He didn't get his 28% approval ratings by accident.
He EARRRRNNNED it !
To 9:13 anon,
Since I gave you several examples and you've given me speculation, I guess we know who's right here. Republicans support terrorism. They needed some way to steal money from the treasury after the cold war ended...
Any real responses to my 9:02 anon post? Need proof of any of my assertions, kids?
Sounds like a bunch of neocowards to me...
John Dean is a wealth of information you idiot and all you can focus on is the fact that he is a felon and was disbarred as a lawyer. Why is that so important when he is a guest of Olbermann's who is telling it like it is about the Repubi-pukes. Tell me something that Dean said about the Republi-pukes that isn't true. Olbermann's guests are insider experts that know how Bush thinks so they are more qualified than hacks like Gingrich.
Dean is also a big conservative. Have you noticed all the conservatives that are jumping ship from the Republi-puke cause? Chuck Hagel, Susan Collins and others. Must be tough for you right wingers.
INCREDIBLE :
McCain To Deliver Keynote Speech For Creationists
Today is Darwin Day, commemorating the anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and of the publishing of On the Origin of Species. The National Academy of Sciences, "the nation's most prestigious scientific organization," declares evolution "one of the strongest and most useful scientific theories we have." President Bush's science adviser John Marburger calls it "the cornerstone of modern biology."
Yet, on February 23, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will be the keynote speaker for the most prominent creationism advocacy group in the country. The Discovery Institute, a religious right think-tank, is well-known for its strong opposition to evolutionary biology and its advocacy for "intelligent design." The institute's main financial backer, savings and loan heir Howard Ahmanson, spent 20 years on the board of the Chalcedon Foundation, "a theocratic outfit that advocates the replacement of American civil law with biblical law."
McCain has an ambiguous record on whether he supports intelligent design in the science curriculum. In 2005, he said it should be taught:
Daily Star: Should intelligent design be taught in schools?
McCain: I think that there has to be all points of view presented. But they've got to be thoroughly presented. So to say that you can only teach one line of thinking I don't think is - or one belief on how people and the world was created - I think there's nothing wrong with teaching different schools of thought.
Daily Star: Does it belong in science?
McCain: There's enough scientists that believe it does. I'm not a scientist. This is something that I think all points of view should be presented.
But last year, he said the intelligent design theory should not be taught in the science classroom:
"I think Americans should be exposed to every point of view," he said. "I happen to believe in evolution"I respect those who think the world was created in seven days. Should it be taught as a science class? Probably not."
JOHN MCCAIN : FLIP FLOP !
As McCain continues his lurch to the right, where will he come down on intelligent design in the science classroom?
Bob,
Like you I celebrate the chaos in Iraq. I get gleeful when I hear of suicide bombings and American deaths. It helps out the Progressive cause! So I'm pulling for more deaths. It helps us politically!
Go Al-Qaeda in Iraq!
Long Live the Mehdi Army!
We don't need to have any of our Supreme court Justices reading the Bible or being people who believe in God. This will result in peoiple who decide cases by asking God to give them the answer rather than applying the law. I am glad Chuck Schumer opposed a federal judge because of his faith because we need people who are going to strictly look at the law and not let their religion get in the way. People who are too religious are not good at being judges because they will ignore the law. Let's start asking judges during confrimation hearings if they believe in God or go to church and if they do, they should not be considered.
Between flippity floppity McCain and his support for the escalation of the war,his chances for president are dimming by the moment.
Rudy Giuliani's 3 wives and being a social liberal, will doom him with the Christian Right and he won't be able to garner the losing republican nomination.
Romney no one has ever heard of, but again he's a war hawk.
Since America is against this war by a whopping 75-80%, the republicans have NO CHANCE of taking the White House in 08'.
The chickens have come home to roost for the GOP and they won't be back for a long, long time.
As the Scooter's trial continues to show the deceptive ways this administration brought us to war I just want to thank
Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney and all of your fellow criminals indicted, about to be indicted or already in jail !
Job well done !
( in keeping your party out of office for the forseeable future )
The Evangelists are gearing up, Bush is bringing us closer to "The Rapture" each and every day !
They are itching for a war with Iran.
So are many of the braindead RWer's at this site.
Alternative theories ar evil. Evolution is the only theory allowed. After all fellow Progressive Socialist Adolph Hitler used Darwin to prove the supremacy of the Aryan race! After all Non Whites need of us, Progressive Aryans to succeed in this society. They're a Helpless bunch that barely evolved beyond Ape status, so they need our benevolent help.
Iranians are Aryans so we must support our brethren and not allow those barely eveolved Jews and their Christian lackeys to attack our brothers!
" If there's one thing Bush is good at, it's protecting us from terrorism, hence no attacks in nearly 6 years now."
As pointed out numerous times now - we have not been attacked (I should say American soil has not been attakced) since 9/11 because Bush capitulated completely to Osama bin Laden's demands in 2003 by removing American troops and bases from the Arabian penninsula. This was the sole demand ever levied against the US by bin Laden, and Bush did just that, and used these military assets to attack a leader in the region who had not attacked us, and who bin Laden had called to be overthrown many tmes. What do you call that? Its like FDR had removed our forces from the Philipines following Pearl Harbor and then attacked Russia, Japan's most formidable adversary in the Asian Pacific rim. Had a handful of Japanese then appeared on the Russian battlefelds, he might have claimed that we were, in fact, forceably battling the Japanese. But FDR was no Bush.
Bush doesn't care that he's already surrendered - he 's happy that the House of Saud is happy, and he's happy that there is a profitable war going on.
Let's start asking judges during confrimation hearings if they believe in God or go to church and if they do, they should not be considered.
Posted by: at February 13, 2007 10:21 AM
I disagree. There is nothing wrong with going to church and belief in God.Our founding fathers had both, but they also knew how important it was to keep the separation of church and state as far apart as possible.
This administration has blurred the lines to our country's detriment.
Bob,
Exactly, thank God for Iraq. Without we'd have no chance in 2008. Lets hope more Americans die so we can win the '08 election. Every suicide bomb and troop death helps!
Any postings by a batman, robin etc are of no value whatsoever and most people , like I, are ignoring them.
Sir Loin of Beef,
We should be happy at Iraq. It helps our cause! Let's celebrate the chaos there. It's giving us political power!
By all means, let's fight Iran. We've given them enough weapons where we even know their serial numbers. The Republican way: Arm them to get rich, then send the poor to fight them for more military contracts...
And neocon sheep bleat their approval...
Since Bush was not much of a book learner or valued education ( he admittted it)
his excursion into Iraq has been the same folly as when the Germans didn't realize that Russia had a winter.
If Chimpy only would have paid a little more attention in school , and not been so gung ho on boozing and coking it up, we might not be in this mess today !
Bob,

The droll chickenhawk posting as "Batman" prefers NOT to hear about suicide bombings and American deaths, even when they are happening every day. His message is "Support the war by proactively denying the sacrifices of our troops; Help the Iraqis by pretending their chaotic country is healing".
We've given them enough weapons where we even know their serial numbers. The Republican way: Arm them to get rich, then send the poor to fight them for more military contracts...
GOD, that's is so f---ing true.
Sad and sick but true !
I hope Bush attacks Iran. That will help our leader Hillary win. More American deaths equals more power. Every death brings joy to nus Progressives!
Sir Loin, it's only Red Wolf.
He's the special ed houseboy for this site.
Give him a piece of candy and he'll go away.
"#4: the new intel about Iran's weapons in Iraq. Here's a stumper for you: will Edward R Olbermann accept the photos and evidence provided by the US military, or will he side with Iran's dictator who insists none of this is true?"
Well, considering the weapons that were produced hat WESTERN markings on them and were printed in ENGLISH (Iranian weapons are marked in FARSI script)...
Red Wolf getting out on bail is a lose- lose situation for society and this site.
Bob,
Don't you just love the chaos in Iraq! It helps us Progressives! I cheer every suicide bombing.
Bob we should thank Al-Qaeda in Iraq, they're our freinds. Didn't you see Al-Qaeda endorces the Democrats!

It's also sick that so many people had to die to get rid of the Republicans for the next generation or two.
Is Bush pushing for a second war or a Second Coming?
Christian Zionists are dancing the hora in San Antonio. Armageddon appears to be at hand.
As George W. Bush sets his sights on Iran, even Republicans are wondering how to constitutionally contain the trigger-happy king. But for an influential group of Christian fundamentalists -- White House allies that garner not only feel-good meetings with the President's liaisons to the "faith-based" community but also serious discussions with Bush's national security staff -- an attack on Iran is just what God ordered.
Biblical literalists, convened together through San Antonio megapastor John Hagee's Christians United for Israel (CUFI), are now seeing the fruits of their yearlong campaign to convince the Bush administration to attack Iran.
This whole 8 years of the Bush administration could be summed up as "sad, but true".
I LOVE you neocons who pretend to be liberals, so that you can set up a strawman (look it up, idiots). I presented a post that no neocon has yet been able to respond to (about Republicans supporting terrorists) and you girls haven't disappointed me.
Here's a tip: If you can't logically respond to liberals...they may actually be RIGHT!
Thank God for Bush! He's help out Progressive cause by attacking Iraq. I'm glad for the death and destruction. If that's what it takes to get rid of the right, it was well worth it!
Go Al-Qaeda!
Now Hillary will be made President for life and she'll throw the Rightwingers in Gulags and shut down Fox News. I can't wait! Stalin will be vindicated!
Thank you Al-Qaeda in Iraq!
We must protect our country from the theocracy that the right wingers have planned. Jimmy Carter is an expert who knows about these things and Keith has had him as a guest so you know he is someone who is will tell the truth. Once we get the Democrats in power we won't have to worry about the relgious people who are trying to take over the country. We need more laws to keep relgious people from making decisions about government policy. We need to have church people seperate from the business of government so we don't give them a chance to take over. Let's impeach Clarence Thomas, Scalia, Alito, and Roberts and get rid of these religious menaces.
From the far right site Newsbusters:
"The trial of Scooter Libby is providing some pretty revealing insight into the mindset of the Washington press."
Much to their chagrine this trial is providing a keyhole into how the run up to war was manipulated by the Cheney/Bush cabal.
So what they lied, and 100,000 people are dead right, Olbyhaters ...right Newsbusters ?
Republicans aren't the only ones that support Terrorists. We do too! Our media cheerleads and praises the Al-Qaeda freedomn Fighters in Iraq! Our beloved Bill Clinton supported Yasser Arafat and pardoned FALN terrorists! In Berkley Universities, Students are being disciplined for stomping on the Hizballah and Islamic Jihad Flags. Dianne Sawyer priased the Syrian Regime!
We also were silent when Sudanese Muslims were killing South Sudanese Christians.
Also Our beloved Clinton attack the Serbs in Kossovo who were defending their homeland against
The Al-Qaeda backed KLA! Our media also supported Hizballah's propganda against Israel, while ignoring their attacks on civilians.
So please don't just give credit to Republicans.
Calling Robert Cox, please don't mislead us , kindly use KO's real photo in all future blog entries.
Advanced Thanks

Paranoid, pathetic, predictable, pink...That's our boy, Keith Limpy Olbersmurf!
whether you like it or not Bob, fact is that a Republican will be president in 08. Reality check here people: America will NOT vote in a woman or a black to be commander-in-chief, fair or not. Obama will absolutely get crushed by South and midland states in vote gettings, and there are so many Dems that hate Hillary, she has no shot.
As for the war in Iraq, here's another reality check for all you Bush haters: unless someone has a realtive or close friend fighting in Iraq, people care more about the economy than Iraq. The economy is great, thanks to Bush's tax cuts and that is more important to people than what's going on in Iraq. Ask yourself this question: is it more important to you to have a job and have fighting in Iraq or not having a job and no chaos in Iraq. Unless you are unemployed or have a really bad job, I think you would choose the former. Take care and have a great day!!! Go Bush, go!!!
"So what they lied, and 100,000 people are dead right, Olbyhaters "
I'm glad all those people are dead. It's helps us politically. You like I should be happy. I cheer the bad news in Iraq! It's the best thing ever to help the Progressive cause! We are on the verg of complete power!
"Let's impeach Clarence Thomas, Scalia, Alito, and Roberts and get rid of these religious menaces."
I'm with you let's round up evangelical Christians and Religious Catholics and throw them in Gas chambers! Then let's bring in our Islamic allies to relace them!
dan must have been out of the country( universe?) the past year.He doesn't know that the country's #1 concern is the War in Iraq.
Plus the economy is good, for people making over $200,000 a year. To the rest of us, many people are struggling with their medical benefits getting cut, or wages being frozen.
But the tragic war in iraq is still #1 on people's minds and will bring down the Republicans in 08.'
Hey Dan, were you present for the 06' elections ?
Didn't learn anything ?
I pray not. Obama I dont think were ready for that maybe not even for V Pres ? Gullana no I dont think so the US of America is not ready for all his harlots? I think the best thing is to keep Pres Bush in until we find someone good to replace him maybe his brother Gov Bush or Sen Brownstone or someone like that would be for the best. Besides with just a little more time we can win in Iraq which is a good thing to & I dont think Mccain is very good either tho he was tortured in Vietnam.

Keep up the good work Rudy. As hard as it is to read your rambling, incoherent, non sentences, you're even funnier than Newsbusters !
These Bush supporters are a hoot !
Robin,
Why didn't you just put in a different name rather than jeopardize your silly pretend-liberal persona? Pretty stupid...
Guess what? You omitted any references to weapons, at all. Just ambiguious nothingness. Here's a tip: Being against Israel's slaughter of civilians is NOT a vote for terrorism. It's called "thought"...try it some time and tell us how it works out...
Penguin-
not sure what part of the country you live in, but here in the Northeast, most people are happy with their lives and finances(benefits included). So are you saying that the chaos in Iraq is more important to your life than being employed and putting food on the table for your family?
"You omitted any references to weapons"
Oh yes I forgot! Our glorious leader Bill Clinton gave weapons to the Al-Qaeda backed and armed KLA against the Christian Serbs! How could I have forgotten!
"Being against Israel's slaughter of civilians is NOT a vote for terrorism."
Of couse not. Imean it's ok for Hizballah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad's slaughter of civilians is ok!
"So are you saying that the chaos in Iraq is more important to your life than being employed and putting food on the table for your family?"
Absolutely it is! As a Progressive I enjoy all the deaths in Iraq as it allows us on the Left to get Power! All I care about is Iraq and Bush! That's the focus of a true Progressive's life!
New Video :
The Ground Truth—a powerful documentary told through the eyes of veterans of the Iraq war. It's a hard look at what some soldiers go through when they return and try to put their lives back together.
Olbyhaters: cover your ears and eyes.
"John Dean is a wealth of information you idiot and all you can focus on is the fact that he is a felon and was disbarred as a lawyer."
John Dean, like Keith Olbermann, is a proven liar... nuf sed.
Robin,
And, tell me...are these folks committing terrorist acts right now? Obviously, Clinton is much smarter than you...
As for your remarks on Israel, I know that neocons, such as yourself, are such cowards that they'd never fight back if they were pushed from their homes, their children killed, etc...but some of us have spines...
Leave it to a neocon to support a country that attacked one of our ships...

I'm in NY by the way.
Hey Penguin/Batman/Robin; your playacting might be considered clever if not for the fact that progressives explicitly want to end the war in Iraq and to prevent one in Iran - yet you consistently depict them as applauding and benefiting from Bush's wars. These little details show your snide characterizations to be really, really stupid.
How does 20% of a modern post-industrial population remain so ridiculously ignorant?
>>How does 20% of a modern post-industrial population remain so ridiculously ignorant?
Practice, practice, practice!
I think Keith's show is pretty good and all and I like it when Keith and his guest always get a good conversation going about Bush and how Bush has destoyed the country, and other countries that want peace hate us and all our civil liberties are gone.It is too hard to figure out who is right when people aren't agreeing with each other like when they debate stuff over on Fox. That stuff on Fox bothers me because Hannity and O'Reilly shouldn't be so aggresive when they ask guests questions, it isn't fair.
Keith had Jimmy Carter on his program one time. He was really a good president, he didn't get enough credit. he was president when things kind of sucked and it really wasn't his fault about inflation and unemployment and all that bad stuff that happened when he was the President. At least we didn't bomb any countires when he was in office! I am glad that someone like Mr. Carter has stuck up for the Palesitians. Everyone always talks about the Jews and the Holocaust and stuff like that, but that was a long time, ago, people should move on. The Jews really need to see if they can work it out with the Palestinians and give them more of their land back or just go away somewhere else so they won't be causing war and trying to bomb other people. If the Jews would just go away or give up their land, we wouldn't have all these problems.
"As for your remarks on Israel, I know that neocons, such as yourself, are such cowards that they'd never fight back if they were pushed from their homes, their children killed, etc...but some of us have spines..."
Yes, I guess it's ok to blow up buses, restaurants, malls and attack Palestinain Christians. That's all good with us Progressives!
It bad when Jews or Christians kill Muslims, but Muslims are allowed. They also can kill Hindus too!
Sir Loin of Beef,
What's to mad about Bush's war? It helps us politically! That's what counts!
I on the other hand lobe Bill O'reilly. my favorite thing about Bill is that he puts the blame where it should be--on the victim! Bill interviwed Bush once and what I really love about it was what a love fest it was. if they weren't so Anti-homosexual I do beleive might have went ahead and blew the president.
Bush gets a lot of bad press. Sure he has taken the largest surplus and turned into a record deficit. But that don't matter because Conservatives are still good with money. I mean yeah, gas prices have topped 3 dollars during this admin, and we are now in the most distrous war in our history and can't seem to extract are self from the mess and it was a huge waste of money but that's ok. Luckily we won't be paying for it, our kids will.
Also Bush has reallly helped the chinese economy by financing this war with loans from beijeng, which is really nice of them. Some people might complain and bitch that 9-11 happned on his watch but unlike carter who had inflation on his it's not Bush's fault. Nothing really is actually that is what liberals don't get. Sure therer was no weapons of mass destruction but how can you hold the leader accountable for such a mistake? and yeah you can that most experts agree the war in iraq has aided the creation of more terroist and he did let bin laden get away and afghanistan is in ruins and the Taliban is resurgent and our troops don't have the proper armour and so on and son. But that is not our president's fault. Plus if you are a CEo the economy is really good right now.
One of the greatest Socialist leaders, Adolph Hitler once had a good solution to the Jewish problems. His mistake was not including Evangelicals and Religious Catholics in his final solution. Hopefully our great Chairwoman Hillary will finish Hitler's job!

Typical republican. Just b/c they are doing well, screw the rest of the people who aren't.
Actually I'm doing fine, but I'm not stupid enough or heartless enough to deny all the others who have lost their jobs or medical benefits under this f---ed up president.
Most people are not doing as well as they did before Bush came into office.
I'll ask again:
Did you notice the results of the 2006 elections?
Get the drift ?
Dan is one of the 28%. The few, the proud, the lame !
Robin!
"I agree Bush must be prosecuted for crimes against humanity! He's the worst than Stalin and is picking on the Progressive peace loving Ayatollahs!"
Bush must not be prosecuted for war crimes, no matter how many 9-11s happen on his watch, or how unsafe he makes the world, or how many laws he breaks.
We must instead label those who oppose our dear leader as traiters for daring to exercise the constitutionally protected right to dissent. We must be tough on terror but not smart. We must protect religious zealots and let the blur the lines between church and state. and most of all we must insure that radicalize the population of iran as soon as is possible!

I agree, Bush personally fired people and removed their healthcare access. Since this is a command and control economy like the Soviet Union, Bush controls everything and is responsible for everyone's well being. He must be removed as Premier of the Supreme Soviet and replace by Hillary Stalin, I mean Hillary Clinton!
Why this picking on religious right? What have they ever done except ignore everyhting good about love and stuff in the bible and instead focus on a message of hate? "God HATES FAGS!"

No! he must be awarded and lovedd! protect the dear leader from the evils of sanity I say! Hopefully dear leder will crush all opposition and decalre himself dictator for life!
Hillary loves freedom too much. she must be stopped!
Olbermann is the voice of the voiceless! Since no else will criticize Bush we need to have a voice like Keith. Who else will expose O'Reilly for supporting child molestors and Nazis. Keith has integrity and will take on anyone who wants to oppose him. Really, is it Keith's fault that right wingers are scared to come on his program? O'Reilly is the true chicken sh-t. You never see him exposing hisself questions from liberals because he is afraid they would show him up. I know Keith would stand up to anybody because he said on his program that he is taller than Geraldo Rivera and would wipe the floor with him. Keith really did say that you can check the transcript. he wouldn't have said that if he wasn't going to do it. Keith is a tough and brave person and is not a coward-- if you think he is prove it.
Keith deserves to be respected
Hillary will ban the Republican party and exterminate Evangelicals and Religious Catholics! She'll make peace with Al-Qaeda and Iran. It will be a glorious era. Ther'll be no need for elections! Hillary, Premier I meant President for life!
Supporting Nazi's? Sorry but it was Olbermann who was flashing the Heil Hitler salute, not O'Reilly. And O'Reilly admitted his mistakes and apologized for them which is more than Olbermann will ever do.
Robin!

I'm pretty confident in saying that if a Dem. was president on 9/11/01, the economy would not have rebounded as quickly as it did, look at consumer buying,it's at near record highs, unemployment is very low and the Dow surging to new all time highs nearly every week, not bad huh buddy.
Dan,
If a Dem was President after 9/11 we would've negotitaed with Al-Qaeda and pay them tribute. We also would give Iran nukes so those damn pesky Jews in Israel can go away!
Dan,
I'm glad Bush invaded Iraq. All the chaos and carnage there helps us on the Left. We are on the verge of complete power! The more people that die, the better it is for us.
We must protect our country from the theocracy that the right wingers have planned.
"Let's start asking judges during confrimation hearings if they believe in God or go to church and if they do, they should not be considered."
Even better we should do a final solution of Religious people! Hitler had a good idea. The only religion that must be respected is Islam. All others must be beanned!
I hate George Bush and the war in Iraq. How dare he respond to my ciriticsm. I have a constitutionally protected right to criticize him without the government responding to my criticism. That's the same thing as demonizing me and questioning my patriotism. My constitutional rights not to have my criticism responded to are being violated! I am calling Cindy Sheehan, John Murtha and the ACLU!
It's amazing how numnutz Olbermann twists and turns every way possible not to implicate Iran in supplying weapons that are killing our troops, but has no problem implicating The White House and George Bush in the Joe Wilson / Valerie Plame fiasco or anything else for that matter no matter how lame or far removed the accusation.
The Penguin and Batman, would you like to work at NBC News as a military analyst? You seem to have the unique insight that we are looking for. You can also work for John Edward's campaign. I don't see a conflict of interest. Great Thanks.
I could write a library of books outlining the absurdity of liberalism. But instead, take my word for it, it's absurd.

You can always count on Matt to say...nothing.
80% of America disagrees with Matt, but it doesn't even make him stop for a moment to reflect about his party's failed ways.
Matt's not too bright !
Nothing PC about what Brick wrote. I give him credit for spilling his true thoughts. Its definitely lot more original than the drone of "Bush Sucks" followed by "The War Sucks"
So what do you really think Brick?
Louisianna and New Orleans. The summer before Katrina hit, LA and NO was narrowly missed by a hurricane. This exposed how poor LA/NO's evacuation plans were. What did they do? Well, Mr. Fudge Stick spent on his time feeding his greed, corruption and nepotism for his family and friends. Blanco? She couldn't boil water. The rest as we say is history. Blaming GW is no surprise but then they accuse him of blowing up the levees. I would give the residents of NO's a 24 hour notice before I showed them what it really looked like when I really blew up the levees. I'd flood that sewer and make an oyster bed out of that slum.
IF YOU DIDN'T LIVE THERE, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE f--- YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. OBVIOUSLY, ANOTHER ASS SUCKING RIGHT WING NUT JOB!!!!!!
it is time to smack brick again.
Willie could have prevented 9/11 but he was more worried about his legacy and assaulting women.
Posted by: Brick at February 13, 2007 1:17 PM
It would take about a month to correct all the stupid and incorrect things this moron spouts out. But let's start with his above statement.
George Bush was president on 9/11, not Bill Clinton.A fact Brickhead doesn't like to admit.
The Clinton Administration warned the incoming Bushies about Bin laden. They ignored him and continued their obesession with Star Wars technology.
Boy, that technology really saved us on 9/11 didn't it ?
The 9/11 Commission blamed both presidents but at least Clinton tried to kill Bin Laden and was focused on him.
Bush was too busy clearing brush to even care, the dumb f--- !
Another truly partisan blindman is Brickhead.
Bushy- you've come a long way. Weeks ago you blamed ONLY Bush for 9/11.
I'm pretty confident in saying that if a Dem. was president on 9/11/01, the economy would not have rebounded as quickly as it did, look at consumer buying,it's at near record highs, unemployment is very low and the Dow surging to new all time highs nearly every week, not bad huh buddy.

The economy wouldn't have had to rebound b/c there was a surplus when Bush took over and he turned that giant surplus into a deficit BEFORE 9/11. So you can't even blame 9/11 for his screwing up the economy.
I love how the braindeaders are giving Bush credit for lowering the deficit THAT HE CREATED.
And as I have showed you, most of America is not gaining a single thing from the upturn in the stock market.
The 9/11 Commission blamed both presidents but at least Clinton tried to kill Bin Laden and was focused on him."
Bushkill Falls
This is one of his dumber statements he has made. Actually Clinton's useless National Security Advisor called off the killing of Bin Laden. Later Sandy Burglar tried to hide the fact by stuffing papers in his pants. Clinton also admitted in an interview that he refused to take Bin Laden when he was offered to him by Sudan.
Nice try though Bushkill. Great Thanks.
Bushy- you've come a long way. Weeks ago you blamed ONLY Bush for 9/11.
Posted by: Benson at February 13, 2007 1:49 PM
Bush is 90% responsible for 9/11.
It was on his watch, he ignored the threats even with memos like "Bin Laden to strike in America" and Middle Easterners taking flying lessons on how to fly planes BUT NOT LAND THEM.
Condi Rice:" How could we have known "?
yes, how could you have known when on 9/11, you were about to give a major speech on the need for Star Wars technology ?
Yes, how could you and your boss been so negligent ?
When Clinton got a memo about a terrorist attack near the milennium he alerted the whole government and military and thwarted a terrorist attack.
That's what a president is supposed to do when getting WARNINGS.
When Bush got similar warnings he ignored it and continued on his vacation.
These are the facts , and it's not pretty.
Clinton shot missles at Bin Laden. but unfortunately missed.
Even after Bin Laden attacked America,
Bush has given us nothing but rhetoric about Bin Laden.
"Going to get him dead or alive".
How's that promise working out ?
George Bush:
We're going to get Bin Laden, "Dead or Alive".
And the right wingers cheered.
And before the cheering even died down , Bush let Bin Laden get away in the Pakistani mountains and focused on Iraq, a country that had nothing to do with 9/11.
"Getting Bin Laden dead or Alive"
Right , George. You don't even dare talk about your failed promise to get him any longer.
You just talk about sending more troops into the middle of a civil war.
And the right wingers cheer >>>>>
You wonder how the RWer's can't realise how stupid they are.
The truth is that Clinton never offered Osama bin Laden to Saudi Arabia. Hannity distorted a remark Clinton made in a speech to the Long Island Association's annual luncheon on February 15, 2002, in which Clinton said that he "pleaded with the Saudis" to accept Sudan's offer to hand bin Laden to Saudi Arabia. Sudan never offered bin Laden to the United States
Furthermore, during his June 20 interview on 60 Minutes with CBS anchor Dan Rather, Clinton categorically denied that such an offer was made: "'There was a story which is factually inaccurate that the Sudanese offered bin Laden to us,' says Mr. Clinton. 'As far as I know, there is not a shred of evidence of that.'"
Factor never lets things such as accuracy get in the way of his mudslinging.
After all,if he can find it on Rush's or Newsbusters site, it's good enough for him.
Bushey- You should write- "In my opinion" before your comments as the are always filled with conjecture and generalizations. Do you even read sh-t that you cut-and-paste. Stating 90% blame on Bush is as idiotic as Brick blaming Clinton for it.is You claim to have read the report. But when i read it as did 90% of the people that read it... the conclusion was... "there was lots of blame to go around." You are blinded by your hate.
"'There was a story which is factually inaccurate that the Sudanese offered bin Laden to us,' says Mr. Clinton. 'As far as I know, there is not a shred of evidence of that.'"
Clinton is not allowed to be criticized. He never lies and the stories of the Sudan offering Bin Laden are bogus. Janet Reno never said there's no legal grounds for it, Clinton speaks only the truth!

How dare you attack Bushkills. As a Neocon you're not allowed to criticize us on the Left. Look at how your Iraq war has helped us. Evry death discredits you and vindicates us! I salute Al-Qaeda and the insurgents! They're our friends have helped us politically! More detahs means more support for the Left!
yes... THE 90% is MY opinion, and then I backed it up with FACTS.
If nothing else has been factually established on this site, it CAN be safely said that the twin characters of 'Brick' and 'Matt' are both total morons.
One posts full page length rants filled with racist remarks, gutter level insults, threats, and far right talking points just dripping with ignorance.
The other one says absolutely nothing, over and over again, and he now has the dubious distinction of having earned the adoration of Rudy Ramirez.
One thing 'Brick' and 'Matt' have in common is that they must have both been dropped on their heads when they were babies!
Bushkill Falls, Pa
That's right let them know! The fact the hijackers were in this country before Bush was president doesn't matter! It's all Bush's fault. Even the attack on the USS Cole was his fault!
Bush and Cheney orchestarted the 9/11 attacks so halliburton can make money!
Read the report- Read the countless non partisan analysis of the report. If you come up with a figure 90% you are blinded by hate. Or you just have been brainwashed by blue blogs.
"Factor never lets things such as accuracy get in the way of his mudslinging".
Well - just look at who he has named himslf after.
Wouldn't it be nice if Red Wolf's group home would limit his computer time a little more than they do?
Woogy,
As a fellow Lefty I'm glad for Iraq. It has made the American people take us serious. I love the death and chaos. It helps our cause!
You are blinded by your hate.
Posted by: Benson at February 13, 2007 2:19 PM
Yes, I'm mad as hell of how George Bush dropped the ball with 9/11, went onto attack a country that had nothing to do with 9/11,that caused over 100,000 people to be killed including over 3,000 of our troops plus the 25,000 that are maimed, and then continues to send more troops into a civil war, and does it all in the name of "freedom. "
And if you're not mad as hell over that, you either have no soul or no brain.
And after having the misfortune in reading your posts, benson, I can honestly say it is both with you.
Oh yes, Sean Hannity destorted what Clinton said by playing a tape of what Clinton said? That makes sense. Since Clinton denied it on CBS, it must not have happened. Clinton never lies. The right wing 911 comission said there were at least 8 times Clinton had an opportunity to kill Ben Landen, he failed all 8 times.
Bush- you have soooo much hate. Sooo much hate. You really need therapy. And I am not just saying that to smack you. I think a therapist may help divert your hate for Bush into something constructive to society.
How many times did Bush try to kill Bin Laden , Factor?
I bet you won't answer.
Like I said, Benson, you have no soul and no brain.
"Yes, I'm mad as hell of how George Bush dropped the ball with 9/11, went onto attack a country that had nothing to do with 9/11,that caused over 100,000 people to be killed including over 3,000 of our troops plus the 25,000 that are maimed, and then continues to send more troops into a civil war, and does it all in the name of "freedom. "
What's there to be mad at! This is great! It's help the Left politically and has enabled us to be on the verge of total power! We should thank Bush and be grateful for all those deaths! The war has been great for us Democrats! I hope it continues so in 2008 our Maximum leadr Hillary gets elected. Then she can remake this country along secular progressive lines. We should ban Religion except Islam, Outlaw Guns, make peace with Al-Qaeda, give Iran economic aid, Allow Gay marriage, allow Polygamy, allow sex with minors, let the ACLU appaoint our judges, do whatever the UN orders us to do, stop global warming, outlaw the Republican party and raise taxes to 50% of income! I can't wait.
And you are a hate mongrel... apparently an unemployed hate mongrel... you spend way too much time here
Believe it or not. There are only about a dozen scientists working on 9,575 glaciers in India under the aegis of the Geological Society of India. Is the available data enough to believe that the glaciers are retreating due to global warming?
Some experts have questioned the alarmists theory on global warming leading to shrinkage of Himalayan glaciers. VK Raina, a leading glaciologist and former ADG of GSI is one among them.
He feels that the research on Indian glaciers is negligible. Nothing but the remote sensing data forms the basis of these alarmists observations and not on the spot research.
Raina told the Hindustan Times that out of 9,575 glaciers in India, till date, research has been conducted only on about 50. Nearly 200 years data has shown that nothing abnormal has occurred in any of these glaciers.
It is simple. The issue of glacial retreat is being sensationalised by a few individuals, the septuagenarian Raina claimed. Throwing a gauntlet to the alarmist, he said the issue should be debated threadbare before drawing a conclusion.
However, Dr RK Pachouri, Chairman, Inter-Governmental Panel of Climatic Change said it’s recently released fourth assessment report has recorded increased glacier retreat since the 1980s.
This he said was due to the fact that the carbon dioxide radioactive forcing has increased by 20 per cent particularly after 1995. And also that 11 of the last 12 years were among the warmest 12 years recorded so far.
Surprisingly, Raina, who has been associated with the research and data collection in over 25 glaciers in India and abroad, debunked the theory that Gangotri glacier is retreating alarmingly.
Maintaining that the glaciers are undergoing natural changes, witnessed periodically, he said recent studies in the Gangotri and Zanskar areas (Drung- Drung, Kagriz glaciers) have not shown any evidence of major retreat.
"Claims of global warming causing glacial melt in the Himalayas are based on wrong assumptions," Raina, a trained mountaineer and skiing expert said. He rued that not much is being done by the Government to create a bank of trained geologists for an in-depth study of glaciers.
The agencies such as the GSI are not getting fresh talent simply because of the measly salaries offered by the Government.
Consider this. During one of his visits to Antarctic, to his utter dismay, Raina discovered that the cook of a Japanese team was getting a bigger pay packet than him.
If he is to be believed, currently only about a dozen scientists are working on Indian glaciers. More alarming is the fact that some of them are above 50. How can one talk about the state of glaciers when not much research is being done on the ground, he wondered.
In fact, it is difficult to ascertain the exact state of Himalayan glaciers as these are very dusty as compared to the ones in Alaska and the Alps. The present presumptions are based on the cosmatic study of the glacier surfaces.
Nobody knows what is happening beneath the glaciers. What ever is being flaunted about the under surface activity of the glaciers, is merely presumptions, he claimed.
His views were echoed by Dr RK Ganjoo, Director, Regional Centre for Field Operations and Research on Himalayan Glaciology, who is supervising study of glaciers in Ladakh region including one in the Siachen area. He also maintained that nothing abnormal has been found in any of the Himalyan glaciers studied so far by him.
Still, he wondered on the Himalayan glaciers being compared with those in Alaska or Europe to lend credence to the melt theory. Indian glaciers are at 3,500-4,000 meter above the sea level whereas those in the Alps are at much lower levels. Certainly, the conditions under which the glaciers in Alaska are retreating, are not prevailing in the Indian sub-continent, he explained.
Another leading geologist MN Koul of Jammu University, who is actively engaged in studying glacier dynamics in J&K and Himachal holds similar views. Referring to his research on Kol glacier ( Paddar, J&K) and Naradu (HP), he said both the glaciers have not changed much in the past two decades.
More undisputed evidence of Global Warming.
Great Thanks.

Well - just look at who he has named himslf after.

Right. Who would name themselves after a guy known for lying and making a fool of himself.
THE FACTOR !
isn't it time for your afternoon meds, Red Wolf ?
Give the computer a break, and read a book, look for a job, anything.
Benson,
Did you know Bin Laden works at a 7/11 across from the Whitehouse. The rumors of him being in Iran are false. The Ayatollahs are peace lovers and believe in personal freedoms. Plus it's our fault 9/11 happened. Bin Laden attacked us because we support Israel. If Hitler had wiped out the Jews, this wouldn't be happening. Islam has never commited agression against others! It's all the fault of Jews and their Christian Neocon lackeys!
The Factor got his info straight from the most disgraced web sites going: NEWSBUSTERS
What a joke !
He's still trying to convince us there's no global warming. Funny !
The Factor,
Bush and Karl Rove are behind global warming. They have a secret satelite weapon that causes it. Did you know Cheney persoanlly blew up the Levees in N.O?
"Claims of global warming causing glacial melt in the Himalayas are based on wrong assumptions," Raina, a trained mountaineer and skiing expert said.
Nice work , Factor.
The 2000 scientists that were at the Paris summitt now stand corrected.( by a skiing expert )

Bushkills,
Bush is responsible for global warming! His weather machine is bringing in Gamma Rays from the Sun that's makingfit pretty warm. Look at Chicago, It's hot and about 85 Degrees! It's really humid today!
I though this was Olbermann watch?
Kyoto committed Canada to cutting emissions of greenhouse gases by 6% from 1990 levels by 2012. Emissions are about 35% above the target and continue to rise. It's a nearly impossible job. The European Union, which made similar pledges, has failed to meet its targets. Its CO2 emissions are rising twice as fast as those of the heretical U.S. since Kyoto.
The simple reality is that no nation can continue to grow economically without its emissions growing. It is also true that Kyoto is a recipe for global poverty. The annual loss for the U.S., according to the U.N.'s own figures, could be as high as 1.96% of GDP.
Canada and the EU, two of those green countries Bushkill likes. Great Thanks.
Hey Red Wolf.
Eveyone at this site just looks at the moniker, Robin, batman etc and then ignores you and then doesn't even read your posts.
Yet he continues.
Isn't it time for the little yellow bus to be picking you up to go home ?
VK Raina, a leading glaciologist. I guess you didn't see that in the artical.
Great Thanks.
Great News from Iraq for us on the Left! Our peace loving Iranian friends are giving weapons to the freedom fighters!

Iraqi insurgents using Austrian rifles from Iran
By Thomas Harding, Defence Correspondent
Last Updated: 7:05pm GMT 13/02/2007
Audio: Revelation makes US action against Iran more likely, says Thomas Harding
Austrian sniper rifles that were exported to Iran have been discovered in the hands of Iraqi terrorists, The Daily Telegraph has learned.
More than 100 of the.50 calibre weapons, capable of penetrating body armour, have been discovered by American troops during raids.
The Steyr HS50 is a long range, high precision rifle
The guns were part of a shipment of 800 rifles that the Austrian company, Steyr-Mannlicher, exported legally to Iran last year.
The sale was condemned in Washington and London because officials were worried that the weapons would be used by insurgents against British and American troops.
Within 45 days of the first HS50 Steyr Mannlicher rifles arriving in Iran, an American officer in an armoured vehicle was shot dead by an Iraqi insurgent using the weapon.
Over the last six months American forces have found small caches of the £10,000 rifles but in the last 24 hours a raid in Baghdad brought the total to more than 100, US defence sources reported.

The find is the latest in a series of discoveries that indicate that Teheran is providing support to Iraq's Shia insurgents.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, yesterday denied that Iran had supplied weapons to Iraqi insurgents. But on Sunday US officials in Baghdad displayed a range of weapons they claimed had originated in Iran.
They said 170 American and British soldiers had been killed by such weapons.
The discovery of the sniper rifles will further encourage those in Washington who want to see Iran's uranium-enriching facilities destroyed before a nuclear weapon is produced.
The Foreign Office expressed "serious concerns" over the sale of the rifles last year and Britain protested to the Austrian government.
A Foreign Office spokesman said last night: "Although we did make our worries known the sale unfortunately went ahead and now the potential that these weapons could fall into the wrong hands appears to have happened."
The rifle can pierce all body armour from up to a mile and penetrate armoured Humvee troop carriers.
It is highly accurate and fires a round called an armour piercing incendiary, a bullet that the Iranians manufacture.
The National Iranian Police Organisation bought the rifles allegedly to use them against drug smugglers in an £8 million order placed with Steyr in 2005.
The company was given permission to export them by the Austrian government, which is not a Nato member.
Great news! More American detahs that helps our cause.
Praise Allah for Iran and Al-Qaeda!
Hey Factor....read Bob's post from yesterday, where it details just how Europe is making changes in their economy and way of life AND MAKING IT profitable.
You are incorrect in everything you say.
Just wondering why you continue, when the world is moving forward.
When was the last time you saw someone on TV using YOUR talking points?
Huh?
It's easy to write crap on a web site like these charlatans do, but they're always afraid to show their faces on the tube and in public.
Think about it.
Bushkill Falls, Pa,
Read what are Iranian allies are doing! It's great!
Factor,
Give it up only us on the Left speak the truth! Your side is all lies! Only the Left has absolute truths!
Bush is a murderer!
Bush killed Anna Nicole Smith!
2000 of the leading scientists in the world have said that man is causing global warming and it isn't debatable any longer.
You post one glaciologist.
Don't you feel silly ?
How come these "sceptics" don't go to these large summits on global warming?
The scientists do it in public and in the light of day. Your isolated cases don't.
Think about it.
Or don't you think?
Even OReilley believes that Global Warming is an issue! Why do we debate this?
WhOr don't you think?
The Right doesn't think. Only we do! we're alwats right and they're wrong!
The fact that it's been proven that Exxon is paying off scientists to throw doubt into the global warming debate doesn't make the Factor think either.
Thinking is too hard !
I can just see Red Wolf dressed up at Batman, laughing his ass off like the JOker playing on his computer, all day long.
What an embarrassment.
Bush is causing Global warming. Halliburton in conjunction wih Karl rove control the climate!
Clinton warned the Bushies to watch out for bin Laden. We know this is true because Sandy Beger says he told the Bushies. Berger is an honorable public servant who has earned the trust of the American people. Also, Clinton tells us he was obsessed with bin Laden. Clinton himself said this!! There now, since Clinton told us that he was taking care of bin Laden that's exactly how it happened. I'm tired of right wingers making claims about Clinton that I just proved couldn't be true!
Even OReilley believes that Global Warming is an issue! Why do we debate this?

Ask the Factor, he's one of your loons .
Loons- shed this talking point. Its an embarrassment to the right! Stop posting articles from Exxon's website! Stop cutting and pasting temperatures from the last week as proof GW is a myth. Its simple and base and a losing battle!
It hot outside. There's a heat wave across the Midwest and the North! Scorching temperatures and people going to the beach! It's global warming!
Loons- shed this talking point. Its an embarrassment to the right!
1 down, 24 to go.
please go away. You are too stupid for this sie and trust me that is saying a lot.
Last post was sort of a tongue in cheek posting of course....
I agree Global Warming is a huge issue!
Problem is- the Kyoto Treaty is hardly the solution. Putting global affairs in the hands of a world committee similar to the UN is never good for the U.S. We always are restricted more than any other undustrial nation.
Benson,
"We always are restricted more than any other undustrial nation."
Of course. The US is responsible for all the world's evils! Especially with President Shrub. When Hillary is in power, we will follow what the UN says! Then we won't be evil!
"Then we won't be evil!"
or as stupid!
Check out the latest bit of "brilliance" from Odormoronn on Jackie Robinson: http://newsbusters.org/
Tommy,
I read the remark. I think that you have a problem with all the big words...they must frustrate you no end, son...
George Tenet is having his memoirs come out any day now and the supposedly "slam dunk" comment about WMD was not in the context the right wingers always use it to be.
Surprise, surprise !
Olbermann knows what he is talking about when he says there would have been apartheid if Jackie Robinson had hit for a lower average in 1947. Apartheid is the government imposed imposition of seperation of the races and I have it on good authority that the U.S. government was closely watching Jackie Robinson's batting average each day of the season before deciding whether to give the green light to apartheid. Olbermann really should be teaching political science classes because we need more people in our universities who will offer intersting and penetrating insights into our civil rights history and Olbermann knows his stuff and is not afraid like others!
Olbermann is one of the leading lights of the civil rights movement and is always championing causes of the downtrodden, so we should listen to him on issues like this!. Why he gave Bill Clinton a check to build several homes for the poor while the cameras were rolling!! What has O'Reilly done for poor unfortunate people, huh? Looking out for you indeed! You Olby haters need to think again. Olbermann is a selfless person who cares a lot about the welfare of of the less fortunate unlike the neocons who only want Big Oil and the fat cats to get rich.
Theresa Heinz Kerry “Big Oil Tycoon” previously directed an unrestricted cash gift of up to a quarter million dollars to a nuclear scientist become climatologist, now leading the charge of doom-sayers on Global Warming. In a recent major article on the topic, the New York Times frequently quoted scientist John P. Holdren, formerly of Berkeley and seemingly more qualified for his previous stint as an anti-nuke expert and the paper failed to point out that Holdren received an unrestricted cash prize of up to $250,000 from Theresa Heinz-Kerry. The money came from her late husband's estate and appears to be prior to Holdren's taking the lead on Global Warming as a current political cause. His interests and area of expertise had been mostly nuclear disarmament.
Great Thanks.
Bushkill Falls, Pa,
There were more deaths in Iraq today! Wasn't that great! More support for our cause with each death!
He's the "journalist" that will name-call

Amen!
But the truth is that he regularly uses words like "Nigger" "'Spic", "Fag" and "Chink" in his personal life. You can still hear him use words like slut, hag, bag, etc. regarding women on air. Why anyone believes his on-air bullsh-t about being "sensitive" to races and gays is beyond me. Nothing could be further away from the real truth and the real Keith Olbermann.
"Nothing could be further away from the real truth and the real Keith Olbermann."
Prove it, you noxious gasbag.
Woogy: The closest that we have ever came to being the W.P.I.T.W. would be when Sprieul was nominated as worst (conservative) in the world.
Sir Loin: Murderers do not save lives.
Keith: I think conservatives would like Keith Olbermann if he acted in the way that you are stating him as acting.
He's the "journalist" that will name-call

HAHAHA look stupid limmericks! look!
That looks more like a raprick.
"That looks more like a raprick."
Whatever it is it is stupid. eems like the kind of thing Johnny Dollar would write to further prove what a bad writer he is.
Penguin cited:
"Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, yesterday denied that Iran had supplied weapons to Iraqi insurgents. But on Sunday US officials in Baghdad displayed a range of weapons they claimed had originated in Iran."
Gullible, forgetful little bird.
General Peter Pace, highest US military commander, said "Huh?" He claimed no knowedge of this development or the case being built by the administration. The statements Sunday ascerting an Iranian origin for these items were made annymously - you know, the way we all post on this site.
American Generals not willing to put their names to a lie - or anonymous Generals made up by the White House and Pentagon because they couldn't find any real ones to sarifice their integrity for the madmen at the helm.
Where's Colin Powell with his vial of talcum powder when you need him!?
Sir Loin: He said "huh" in an agreeing tone. Like so: "Hey, did you here that man went to the moon?" "Huh!" See, Sir Loin. You were wrong.
It was nice to see John Seigenthaler and Nattalie Morales on M.S.L.S.D. today I wonder with somebody's contract getting down to a few days. Might they be sticking around just in case somebody gets S**t canned!!!!
And whats up with N.B.C.? They gave Tiki Barber a contract? Why don't they know Tiki worked part time at that Evil Fox News? I heard Tiki has a spot on the Today show! Doesn't the top brass listen at all to the great Edward R. Morrow?
N.B.C. gave Tiki Barber a big contract. It had to be good A.B.C.'s offer was around 10 million.
Tiki does N.F.L. Sunday night. Plus has a spot on the Today show. And does not have to do the fourth hour I read.
15 days to go, It ain't lookin' too good at this point. If Keith doesn't get a new contract by Friday I don't know if you'll see him next week.
But before he leaves I sure hope he does one more of his KRAZY KOMENTS!!!!!!
I need one more good chuckle.
Dream on, puck.
Speaking of contracts . . . in the "Countdown" to the expiration of K.O.'s MSNBS (More Snotty Nonsensical Bull****) contract, there was news by Cindy Adams to the effect that Olbermouth is also being pursued by CNN (the Clinton News Network). Wouldn't that be something - as Keith's whole show is a virtual advertisement for MoveOn.org and other George Soros-funded far-left socialist outfits, and as MoveOn.org advertises from time to time on CNN . . . you can put the picture together.
And B.T.W. . . . tonight (the 13th), he'll foist another of his uninformed "Speshul Komments" (read: "Bush is worse than Ahmadinejad or Chavez or Castro or . . . ") that would leave the illiberal left kvelling.
Finally . . . it is an insult for Keith to liken himself to Winston Churchill. First, before Sir Winston became Prime Minister he was a hated man within the British political establishment for his sounding the alarms about the danger represented by Hitler at a time when the country (indeed, all of Europe) was asleep at the wheel with respect to the rise of Nazi Germany; second, in that pivotal special (as opposed to "speshul") vote in 1940, he became Prime Minister by the skin of his teeth (Chamberlain voted for him in the end, having realized the error of appeasing Hitler two years before; otherwise, Churchill would've been toast and his career all but over) - what's more, if "Countdown w/Keith Olbermann" existed at the time of the Battle of Britain, the Left's favorite hero of the moment would've actually had the audacity to name Churchill the "Worst Person in the World" more than once, rather than Hitler, and blame the British Prime Minister for "provoking" the Blitzkrieg and the relentless bombing of London, among other things.
Winston Churchill?! Please. Olbermann's rants are more on the league of that wacko far-left "professor," Ward "All 9/11 Families Are Nazis" Churchill (yeah, right - he's a professor like Irwin Corey or Sid Caesar are/were professors).
Woah... Winston Churchhill comparisons blow Edward R. Murrow comparisons away!!!
Conservatives don't support the troops!
"The Bush administration plans to cut funding for veterans' health care two years from now — even as badly wounded troops returning from Iraq could overwhelm the system."
