COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN - FEBRUARY 14, 2007

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • PRES. BUSH PRESS CONFERENCE; HOUSE DEBATE ON IRAQ: Howard Fineman, Newsweek senior Washington correspondent and MSNBC political analyst
    • "AMERICAN IDOL": Maria Milito, Q104.3 radio host

The opening spiel started right off with Keith bellowing an attack on "Mister" Bush, plus patter about Hillary Clinton, The Great Leak Case, Oliver North on "escalation" [Ding!], Anna Nicole Smith, more American Idol, baseball cards, and more. The Hour of Spin is here!

    MADMAN

KO kicked things off by claiming Bush said he "doesn't need evidence" to take action regarding Iranian weapons in Iraq (Another Olbermann Lie, since there is plenty of evidence). Intoned Olby: "Scared yet?" Obligatory clip of the tonsorially-enhanced David Gregory. Fat Ass continued his "reporting" on the presser: Bush said "he does not really know what is going on in Iraq" (Another Olbermann Lie). Plus "Mister" Bush's humor was "strained" (not on the level of puppet theater for sure). More clips.

Howard Fineman, Pundit for All Occasions, agreed with Oralmann's spin. We realize this statement isn't surprising, and isn't news in any way. We report it yet again as part of our duty to chronicle the spin. Naturally, Olby had to shoehorn in the "news" that comedian Al Franken wants to run for Senate, and Howie played along, hyping comedian Franken as "very very very smart" and a real threat in the race. Great thanks.

    MADMAN

The Great Leak Case got its usual coverage, meaning Slippery Shuster was there to paint as vivid a picture as possible of Libby's certain conviction (a la Rove's certain indictment). He rattled off the same misinterpretations as previously.

#3 Troop morale and how "Mister" Bush "waves" it for political purposes. This led into the Big News about a comment by Oliver North that the troops he spoke to didn't think more combat soldiers were needed. (KO showed a silent clip of North speaking, an MSNBC logo at the bottom, and the image zoomed in to hide the Fox News logo.) Why is it that something said by Oliver North, and on the eeevil Fox no less, is suddenly a headline on The Hour of Spin? Well, there are two criteria. 1: He has to have said something that can be used against Bush administration policy. (Check!) And 2: Olbermann has to know about it, so that means some left-wing website has to pick it up so Olby can lift it from them. (Check! Blue Blog Source: Think Progress). Bonus points if you take one sentence out of the man's comments and ignore everything else because it doesn't fit OlbySpin. (Check!) It's Olbypocrisy in its most virulent form. Never mind that "worst person" North is, according to Edward R Olbermann, a person who's been "lying for 19 years". Never mind that he said it on the eeevil FNC. If it's something that benefits OlbySpin, then bingo! All of a sudden it's reliable and makes "news" on Countdown. (The Insight Magazine rule.)

Paul Rieckhoff was the guest expert; he was there to lobby for more benefits for veterans and troops. Oh, and Oliver North is right: the troops don't want reinforcements, and the surge won't work anyhow (see mutts below). Plus the troops are being used as "shields" by policy makers. OlbySpin accuracy rating: 100%. Then Anna Nicole Smith, Howard Stern (the radio one), and the new Topps baseball cards (is Olby still on their payroll?).

The #1 story was American Idol, and was based on an internet rumor that Michael Jackson would be appearing on the show. "We're still waiting for confirmation" on that, bleated Olby, further flogging a dead horse that was expired when he first dealt with it yesterday. See, this whole Jackson bit is from a reality tv website that didnt "report" it, it "predicted" it. You know, like Survivor sites predict who will be voted out on the next show. This is what "Man on Fan" Olbermann is reduced to in an attempt to do something, anything, to inflate his moribund ratings.

In the Media Matters Minute, Al Qaeda's Zawahiri was "worser" for statements about Bush. No, wait, it's not what you think. Oralmann's point was to use this as an excuse to say he's "as stupid as Bill Frist" (R). Whew! For a minute we thought Olbermoronn was suffering from temporary sanity. The "worst person" was "moron" Frank Gaffney for a Washington Times column.

    OLBY

Muffled mutts: Krazy Keith loves Maureen Dowd. He invites her onto The Hour of Spin. When she criticizes "Mister" Bush Olby rushes to quote her on the air. So why hasn't Keithy Boy quoted from this? Maybe KO is waiting for it to appear in Insight magazine so he can call it "right-wing slime". A top Taliban leader was the target of a NATO airstrike. The markets soar to an all-time record high thanks to economic growth and low inflation. Olbermoronn still hasn't told us what the bloggers wrote, or the effect of the surge that "won't work" on Al-Sadr. And we're waiting for Herr Olbermann, who slams Bill O'Reilly for comments about Iraq, to do the same to the man who called for the bombing of the holy city of Mecca. He won't, and that's why the Olbermann Manhood Quotient remains: limp.

    NAME

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olberman's name stands at #5,229 at amazon.com, while "Culture Warrior" is #182. (It's that 2-for-$25 sale!) The OlbyTome is #2,694 at Barnes & Noble; O'Reilly's book is #1440 there, and is now in its 19th week on the New York Times bestsellers list. The Tuesday Hour of Spin once again found itself on the short end of the ratings stick. Olby & Company lost to Mr Bill by four to one, coming in a weak third overall. What's worse, the infamous, deplorable one sank to a humiliating fourth place in the critical, beloved, all-important, coveted "key demo". So how are those kontract negotiations going? Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 7 [HIGH]

There is no question he wears a toup.

Well Olby's butt-buddy, at TVNewser is reporting "exclusively" that Olby has reupped and the big announcement will be tomorrow. I guess when Olby sent Brian his Valentine's day card and "contribution" that Olby also included info about his new contract deal. I bet it's for a damn sight less than the $4m he wanted though. And if MSNBC was smart (and we know they aren't), they've included a strict morals clause.

    Morales Clause for Keith Olbermann:

    1. Stories are only to be dull, lifeless, and basic.

    2. Al guests must kiss hiney, agree with Keith, and leftwing or negative to the positions that Keith Olbermann wants to hear.

    3. The highest stories must be thew same old American Idol, Brittney or Paris, gossip room bull dink.

    4. All news has to be for Keith Olbermann's worldview.

    5. The Worst Person in the World political submissions have to be against conservaitves only. That is it.

    6. Special Comments need to be angry and hostile.

    7. Oddball = Youtube.

    8. Regurgitate reused footage from earlier in the day. Nothing brand new or fresh.

Signature of agreement: Keith Olbermann Keith Olbermann KEITH OLBERMANN!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I can not sign up enough times...)

What? I thought CNN was going to offer him a show and a big, fat contract. You mean that gossip item wasn't true?

I guess Olbytoad had to break down and take what Dan Abrams was offering. He's lucky to get a deal at all seeing that no other news network would hire him.

Dammit! I'm f---ed! What the f--- am I supposed to say about that Paul Reichoff piece on Countdown! SHEEESH I've got nothing!!

I could atack his character...or his bald head, but that's bound to backfire.

    I can't do this!

You just can't argue with Reichoff on this. Of couse the lowering of enlistment standards by the Bush administration in order to stave off a devastating personnel crisis reflects an unconscionable disregard for our troops.
Of course the soldiers who endure daily sniper fire and countless close calls with IED's don't give a flying f--- about the rhetoric of politicians; they want a real mission or a plane home.

....I bet I can get away without mentioning the piece at all.

Did you see that Cleopatra coin bit on Olby's show just now?! More misogyny from the reprehensible one!

And did you hear him say something about Paula Abdul? Woman hater!!

If we have to do it all over again (sniffle, sniffle, sniffle...) can we at the very least have guest non-Olbermann reviewers to do the Countdown summations? It is nice that Johnny Dollar can dish it out ... but it would be interesting to see Olbermann's show from somebody from Newsbusters or Townhall perspectives.

So tonight's review will contain the following:

    1. "Infamous, deplorable". (Oh, sorry, it's already in the preview)

    2. "Man on Fan"

    3. "Discredited Sports Guy"

    4. MSLSD (Oops, also in preview)

    5. A-mess-NBC

    6. "Olbermoron"

    7. An upside down picture of "Slippery Shuster"

    8. A picture of KO in a trench coat

    9. Possibly a repeated absence of the "Mistermeter", even though Mr Bill used the expression "Mister Bush" in the first minute of his show.

    10. A cute picture of a muzzled dog with a list of right wing talking points from Fox or Limbaugh that KO didn't cover

You guys really need some new shtick. Nothing to see here, move along...

According to red wolf those are the only valid discussion points. anyhting else is off topic.

So the troops don't support the surge BECAUSE THEY SAY IT WON'T WORK.
But what do they know. They're only the ones that have to kick the doors in , in Baghdad.
It's amazing this info comes from Oliver North. You KNOW it must kill him to report this.

So much for the right wing's lies about the troops !

How do these people( Puck) actually think they have any credibility at all ?

Debating the war by our elected representatives is a waste of money ?

I guess he thinks the Abramoff scandal with the republican congressmen was a better use of taxpayers money !

Puck: Today's WORST PERSON IN THE WORLDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!

    Bushkill Falls, Pa
Of course troops don't want the surge. It's a waste of time. However as a Democrat I want the surge. That way more troops die and The Party's poll ratings go up!

"The 'Worst Person' was 'moron' Frank Gafney..."

    ---------------------------------------------------

Isn't calling the worst person in the world a moron mitigating the playfullness and frivolity of the worst person in the world segments? Isn't that what the prologue and the beginning of the "Worst in Show" sections of "The Worst Person in the World and (202 strong contendors)" have implied? That the W.P.I.T.W. were supposed to be playfull and lighthearted and non-confrontational?

Fellow Democrats good news from Iraq!

U.S. Reports 6 Military Deaths in Iraq

    ASSOCIATED PRESS

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Four U.S. soldiers were killed and two others were wounded Wednesday during fighting northeast of Baghdad, the military said. Two other U.S. deaths were reported elsewhere.

The Task Force Lightning soldiers were attacked while conducting combat operations in Diyala province, where U.S. and Iraqi forces have been battling insurgents for months.

Three of the soldiers died from wounds sustained after explosions near their vehicles, while a fourth died later at a military medical facility.

Separately, another U.S. soldier died Wednesday a day after coming under small arms fire from insurgents while on patrol north of Baghdad, the military said. The soldier died of wounds from the attack, which took place the combat patrol was ambushed after it discovered a roadside bomb, according to a statement.

Soldiers from the unit successfully located and disposed of the bomb and found a small cache, adding to the seven improvised explosive devices and four caches found earlier this month, according to the statement.

On Tuesday, a Task Force Lightning soldier died in a non-combat related incident, which is under investigation, the military said in a separate statement.

The soldiers' names were not released pending notification of relatives.

At least 3,132 members of the U.S. military have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.

    Batman: Go back to Gotham.

Story #4, the bottom of the screen read the following:

    "Libby is Done"

    Great production work there.

    B.D,
Keith Olbermann's ratings haven't fallen. If you read the ratings correctly, he has 6 million viewers. When our Great Mother becomes Supreme Leader of America, Olbermann will be required to watch and Bill O wil be sent to Alaska!

"would someone pleeeese help Keithy, his ratings have fallen and he just can't get them up!!!!!!

I TOLD Keith he's not spending enough time on Anna Nicole Smith!

    I h8 sarcasm trolls.

Bush is an evil man. He's firing people from their jobs and taking away their healthcare!
He will not talk with the Peace loving Iranians and their Gandhi like leader the Grand Ayatollah.
I hope more people die in Iraq so Bush can keep being proven wrong and the Democrats right!

If the rumor is true that Olbermann had 're-upped', what in the world is 'Puck' gonna do now? Can he possibly show his silly self on this blog again?

Sure he can - after all, he's 'Puck'!

    Woogy,
6 more died in Iraq. Aren't you happy since it makes Bush and Republicans look bad? I know I'm happy!

In Red Wolf's attempt to be cute, he demonstrates what a despicable human being he is!
Being stupid is one thing, but you crossed the line thinking ANYONE thinks it's good news about the deaths of our troops.

HA! Looks like Keith is getting somewhere NORTH of $4 million on his contract renewal. Looks like the attention you guys have helped to lavish on Keith helped him out. Thanks LOSERS!

Yeah Brandon, can't have Keith sexually harassing his employees asking them to do disgusting things with loofas.... Oh wait...

Why don't you think before you type something... Otherwise, STFU!

Maybe the idiot Puck would like to comment:
It's crow eating time, Puckish !

Keith Olbermann is re-upping with MSNBC, TVNewser has learned.

His contract negotiations apparently went well (maybe the alleged interest from CNN helped).

In December B&C said Olbermann wanted "north of $4 million" from NBC Universal, up from his current salary of roughly $1 million.

NBC will announce the contract renewal tomorrow.

Thanks for the news, Shaun !

    Woogy,
What kind of Champagne you're drinking to celebrate the deaths in Iraq? I'm drinking Dom P!
Anything that makes Bush look bad, is good for our party!

    Bushkill Falls, Pa
As long as the death of the troops make Bush look bad it's ok. It helps our cause!

    Friar, uh Red Wolf:

I'll have to admit, Bush looks like a saint compared to your sorry sadistic ass!

So how are those kontract negotiations going? Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 7 [HIGH]

Posted by johnny dollar at February 14, 2007 7:02 PM

How are they going Johnny? Do tell. lol..

Countdown and Keith have been renewed ! !
    Imagine that !
Much thanks to the Olbyhaters at this site, and an extra special thanks to Mr. Johnny Dollar.
We all make a toast to Johnny Dollar, in the renewal of Keith's contract !

    Clink !! Clink !!

I'm glad Olbermann's contract has been renewed. He's the greatest spokesman the Democrats have ever had. He puts Kennedy to shame!
He stays focused on message, never gets rattled and is alwys truthful. He helps give the public our talking points. He puts Trotsky and Goebbels to shame! He will be the offial spokeman of our Great Mother!

    > Looks like Keith is getting somewhere NORTH of $4 million on his contract renewal.

Nope. It looks like he WANTED that much. How much he actually got is another question. Congrats to Keith, tho. He's keeping us in business for another year.

Actually ... this website does hae a loose connection with Bush's problems ... R. Cox could not deffend Libby well enough to be kept on the case. Poor guy, really.

Praise Allah that our friend Olbermann's contract has been renewed! Many praises from the Islamic Republic of Iran!

"Our great mother" is the perfect name for Hillary Clinton. She does act like a space alien from lightyears away.

    Keith,
As my personal spokeman, congrats on your renewal! You have been very useful to The Party and your efforts have been rewarded. Now you will focus on my campaign and praises it to no end. That's what I pay you for!

He's keeping us in business for another year.

Posted by: johnny dollar at February 14, 2007 10:09 PM

And what a pathetic business that is... You're the laughing stock of your own site... You can tell by the poll on the front page of this blog that more KO fans come here than KO haters. You people are out of your mind. I gotta admit, it's fun to watch tho!

I can not believe that Ol' Big Macc is getting a renewed contract. Does this man truly care about the news?!? We do not have any kept tabs on Cartoon Network as either news or gossip. What good is he? All he is is shrill, dull, & boring !!!

Now that Olbermann has been renewed, The Party's message will continue to spread to the people. The good news from Iraq consisting of troop deaths and suicide bombings that helps The Pary and the Great Mother, will continue to be told. The worse Bush looks, the better it is for us!

I also laugh at the chaos in Iraq. It helps us on the Left and makes the Right look bad. Olbermann is instrumental in spreading the message of The Party. Praise be to Allah!

"Does this man truly care about the news?!?"

A point you have. He acts like he just doesn't even care that much about the greatest story of the year - The death of Nicole. Whats wrong with that man?

And YO, Obama Bicker; What does '?!?' mean? Is it different than '!!!'? Or maybe what you really meant was '!?!'?

    Shaun,
Bush sucks so the more that goes wrong the better. I hope another big Hurricane hits and destroys an American city in September of 2008. That'll help the Great Mother!

    Bush sucks!

    Bush sucks!

Question mark ---> Punctuation of a statement on an issue that is meant for a statement that responds to an unknown part of the issue.

Exclamation mark ---> Punctuation indicative of shouting.

    Do the math...

    I hate Bush!

    Two shouts and one question?

So, why are you shouting. Do you think we're deaf?

    I hate Bush!

Here's a classic example of the challenged intellect of the average Olbermann fan. They read the piece at TVN and thought that Olbermann was getting North of $4M a year. No dipsh-t, that's what he WANTED. Big difference.

    Brandon,
    You stupid Neocon,
Olbermann is going to be paid north of 40 Million dollars. Stop lying about Olbermann's salary the way Halliburton lied about WMD's in Iraq!

There should be a punctuation for sadness. √ perhaps ... because I am just so sad. What is wrong with the upper management @ MSNBC ... Do they want to further ruin cable news?!? Goodness gracious!!!

    "Goodness gracious!!!"

I wish you WOULD watch your language, there are childlike people on this site!

So Brandon, no comment about you making yourself look like a complete ass? I'm sure that's not an infrequent occurrence, but you do see the stupidity of you requesting Keith have a morality clause when your King Douchebag Orally has his sexually deviant history? You do see that right? lol..

Keith Olbermann is getting 40 million dollars?!? Dr. Kevorkian deserves more. At least Dr. Kevorkian is philosophical!!! Ol' Bigg Macc is overrated and same nonsense!!!

Prove it. As I recall, the girl withdrew her complaint. And she'd worked for O'Reilly, quit, andthen went back. Sounds like a set-up to me. If she was truly being harassed, she'd never have gone back to work for him again. She was in it for the money, you know, kinda like KO's teenage girlfriend.

But Dr. Kevorkian's special comments were always kind of boring!

Prove it. As I recall, the girl withdrew her complaint. And she'd worked for O'Reilly, quit, andthen went back. Sounds like a set-up to me.

That's rich.. You right wing loons are amazing... You will refuse to believe something that anyone with half of a brain, and that hasn't been brainwashed by the right knows to be true. You don't pay off someone when you're not guilty. Ask Michael Jackson. Bill Orally and Michael Jackson are the same that way. They both paid off their victims. It's really shameful. And you're defending him. Pussy.

Plus? P.S.? O'Reilly wasn't sleeping with fans he'd solicited via company email either. . .

HA! No, Orally victimized someone he worked with and had power over. It's much better, right Brandon? lol..

    "prove it".

I'd say the payoff was the proof!

I always love the "But O'Reilly did X" approach to exonerating Olbermann. You know he's a sorry piece of sh-t so you seem to think if you compare him to someone else you perceive as worse, it will minimize his moral failings. It doesn't. Give him time, he'll implode like he has at every other job he's ever had.

Oh, and i know that I'm getting to some of you with all the hate-filled posts against me for the past two or three days. It just makes me laugh and more determined to piss you all off some more. Losers.

I may need to do a special comment of my own:

I am always talking about how awfull the news media is in cable land.

    Keith Olbermann is no exception.

Watching him is like watching somebody sit there and throw paper around rather than make some sense

    [PIVOT]

What sense am I talking about? How about the news, Keith?!? How about the news? How about getting off of that chair which you probably sit in for hours gouging the same ole tired nonsense that your fans (???) want to hear.

You know that they would never speak against you, unless ... you say something that actually promotes Bush in some context.

That is too bad. For if you are worried about offending somebody, you are definately not in Edward R. Morrow's business.

    [PIVOT]

Edward R. Morrow saw something rotten, and did investigative journalism about it. You, sir, recite the same stale crud day arter day, not looking at seperate perspectives and want millions of dollars for it?!?

This is the kind of stuff that people quickly get tired some --- and you continue it. You continue making the administration look bad, you continue making fun of somebody as inflated as you (O' Reilly), you continue yakking gossip.

Though it will not end. More bordom. More propaganda. More using the same retread guests to back yourself up. You would be lucky if, in today's buisiness, they did not replace you with documentaries. Or a game show. Or infomercials.

    [PIVOT]

What the heck, though. I wonder if they have thought about replacing you with those mediums. The documentaries are creative, unlike Oddball-where you just show one minute long clips, game shows are thought provoking, where you sit there and offer your audience the standard mantras, and infomercials are rehersed, unlike your smarmy script overflowing with rhetoric that patronizes so many.

So while you are coming home to a raise and an advance, try not to look at yourself in the mirror too much. Try not to see what the monitor sees: Make-up, suit, and grimace.

You just one day may look like Bill O' Rielly.

But Brandon, you don't seem to be 'laughing' at all. In fact, your heart seems as though it is filled with unbridled bitterness.

Note to Queefy Keef-o: Vicodin, Percoset, Seconal and Methadone all washed down with a fifth of vodka in a warm bath is the best way to celebrate your new contract. Let your par-tay begin!

I always love the "But O'Reilly did X" approach to exonerating Olbermann. You know he's a sorry piece of sh-t so you seem to think if you compare him to someone else you perceive as worse, it will minimize his moral failings.

Posted by: Brandon at February 14, 2007 10:57 PM

That would be great Brandon except that is your MO. You've done it multiple times. See your previous posts tonight. You minimize something Orally did and bring up something KO did that you feel is much worse. Right wing hypocrisy knows no bounds.

And please, if you think there are any Dems on this site that do anything but laugh hysterically at all of you pathetic folks, you're sadly mistaken. Whenever I need a chuckle, I'll come here to knock on the glass to irritate the animals, so to speak. I'm quite fond of copying and pasting some of your replies and emailing them to friends... It's cheap entertainment.. lol..

    ==================================================

I think this is the reason why some commentors prefer to remain nameless ...

The sarcastic stupid remarks by many on this site are proof that the long lost arguement that isn't even being waged seriously anymore is way over. I feel sorry for the few honest people here who tried their best to defend the indefensable. Olbermann is well established and not going anywhere. Bush has commited the worst foreign policy disaster in American history. As bad as Bush looks now, history will treat him much worse. Olbermanns coments on Bush will live on as a testimony for a few people who didn't have their head up their ass during the last few years.

"I'm quite fond of copying and pasting some of your replies and emailing them to friends... " by Shaun

And just to clarify, I didn't mean you specifically Brandon. You're less interesting than some of the more extreme nutjobs here(Red Wolf (one your side should be ecstatic to claims as one of it's own), Cee/Cecilia, Old Bag Hawkins & Johnny Dollar).

    Shaun:

You forgot 'brick', or as he calls hisself "Mr. Neanderthal". If Bush's approval ever gets down to 1%, 'Brick' will be one of those 1%.

Codas: Rather than just going with the flow ... shouldn't Keith Olbermann be objective and look at issues att all angles, rather than stamping every single conservative/pro-war-ite with the "insane" stamp and sending them out of the chute?!?

Romney to deliver commencement address at Pat Robertson's University
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will deliver a commencement address at Regent University this May, the Christian school founded by prominent Christian broadcaster and one-time presidential candidate Pat Robertson.

Glad to see you found your niche, Mitt !

    Woogy,

I am sure there are others... I am thinking quite a few of them are the same person to try and make their numbers look larger than they are. Faux News' constant progaganda ensures we will never look reach that 1%. 28% appears to be the constant bottom of kool aid drinkers. We will be losing a war in Iran, Iraq & Syria with 150,000 dead Americans lying in the streets of the Middle East and 28% of the country will still want more war. Orally, Hannity and their ilk will be clinging to the notion of the Bush Doctrine no matter what. They have way too much invested to admit it was a mistake now.

During his performance in Puerto Rico, Ricky Martin stuck his middle finger out when he mentioned President Bush's name. In the song Asignatura Pendiente, there is a line in the lyrics that goes:

    'A photo with Bush'

As he said this, Ricky gave him the F-you treatment and the crowd of 18,000 fans went crazy and cheered.

The irony in all of this is that Ricky was one of the artists to sing for Bush during his inauguration as President.

Damn, I forgot; Pat Robertson WAS a presidential candidate, wasn't he. Every time I start to think it couldn't be any worse than it is ...... no, I was right, it couldn't be any worse than it is.

    Bushkill,

Ollie North was never in favor of a troop surge. He personally didn't think it was necessary and stated that well before the recent controversy (when the idea was batted around). When Bush announced the plan in January, he gave Bush the respect of the presidential office and said that it was his decision as commander-in-chief. Did you ever watch any of the interviews he conducted with the marines during his numerous trips to Iraq? He brought up the issue of increasing troops a few times and the marine standing next to him would also proudly state that they didn't need more boots on the ground. I think it killed him to show Bush support when he officially announced a troop surge, something he blatantly stated on the record that he was against.

Let the Bush bashing begin! Let's celebrate the Death and Chaos in Iraq!

    not = adv ... denial, >>>refusal

let = vt. to permit; to allow

overreacting = when something minor happens, like necessary sacrificing of some rights temorarily, perhaps until the need for them end or a humungous Homeland Security/Patriot Acts, then people get all hegmonic about those things happening too much.

liberal = I try not to generalize, but this is what I find.

hippies = Peace, man! Throw me some weed! Yeah, we are goign to show Nixon (modernly=Bush) up! Grooooovy! Why not do it in the streets? etc. etc. etc.

get = vt. to obtain; to gain.

in = prep. (no definition given that did not have the word "in" in it.)

the way = a phrase meaning you are blocking without allowing one to go around.

of the war on terror = the war in the region of the Middle East---

I agree, we're no match for the powerful Jihad armies. I say let's surrender and pay them tribute so no more Americans must die. I don't know how we beat Germany and Japan! It was luck. But Syria, Al-Qaeda, Iran, Mehdi Army and Hizballah are no joke. they're bionic superman who're invincible!

The overuse of the & sign

    Bushkills, Codas and Other Comrades!
The world is going our way my friends. Bush's lost war against the Bionic Super Jihadis has failed. Their super powers have overwhelmed our wimpy forces! But it's good. It helps our cause. We owe the Jihadis our political good fortune!

    Obama:

I think I'd rather define the invasion and occupation of Iraq as 'overreacting'.

"This is a presidency of great dishonesty," that this is not a matter of opinion. This is demonstrable fact.-Carl Bernstein !

Here is a brief excerpt from the interview with Watergate sleuth Carl Bernstein. The interviewer is Lowell Bergman.

    *

    Q. Finally, I just want to get your reflections on the [famously contentious] relationship of Richard Nixon and the press. ... How does that compare to George W. Bush and the press?

BERNSTEIN: First, Nixon's relationship to the press was consistent with his relationship to many institutions and people. He saw himself as a victim. We now understand the psyche of Richard Nixon, that his was a self-destructive act and presidency.

I think what we're talking about with the Bush administration is a far different matter in which disinformation, misinformation and unwillingness to tell the truth -- a willingness to lie both in the Oval Office, in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, in the office of the vice president, the vice president himself -- is something that I have never witnessed before on this scale.

The lying in the Nixon White House had most often to do with covering up Watergate, with the Nixon administration's illegal activities. Here, in this presidency, there is an unwillingness to be truthful, both contextually and in terms of basic facts that ought to be of great concern to people of all ideologies. ...

This president has a record of dishonesty and obfuscation that is Nixonian in character in its willingness to manipulate the press, to manipulate the truth. We have gone to war on the basis of misinformation, disinformation and knowing lies from top to bottom.

That is an astonishing fact. That's what this story is about: the willingness of the president and the vice president and the people around them to try to undermine people who have effectively opposed them by telling the truth. It happened with [Sen.] John McCain in South Carolina. It happened with [Sen.] John Kerry. It's happened with [Sen.] Max Cleland in Georgia. It's happened with many other people. That's the real story, and that's the story that [the press] should have been writing. ...

It's very difficult, as a reporter, to get across that when you say, "This is a presidency of great dishonesty," that this is not a matter of opinion. This is demonstrable fact. If you go back and look at the president's statements, you look at the statements of the vice president, you look at the statements of Condoleezza Rice, you go through the record, you look at what [counterterrorism expert] Richard Clarke has written, you look at what we know -- it's demonstrable.

Our army is no match for the super powers of the Jihadis! They are powerful men with great powers. Now I know what's all the fuss about genies! The Muslim warriors are genies. Our troops are no match for them!

Woogy: Not any more. I think it now comes really close to treason.

"This president has a record of dishonesty and obfuscation that is Nixonian in character in its willingness to manipulate the press, to manipulate the truth. We have gone to war on the basis of misinformation, disinformation and knowing lies from top to bottom."

And this is how it will go down in history !
Sorry Bush apologists. Sad but true !

    Obama:

I agree, this administration's misleading us into an unnecessary quaqmire, and Congress's sitting by and letting it happen DOES come "very close to treason".

    Obama watch ...

He posted at about the same time. I was just noticing the annoying & sign of Proud when I looked at the earlier posts and then happened to see Rudy above. I wasn't investigating. People posting under various assumed names has come up before. Grammie (who hasn't been around recently) and I were enduring a long night of abuse a month or so ago when we figured that someone was taking on different personae.

    1. We won the War in Iraq.

    2. We had some trouble with the aftermath.

    3. The peacehawks got alllllllllllllllllllllll jittery and backed away from America.

    4. Now the leftists are praising the jihadists. Yeah ... as if I did not see that one coming.

    Bushkill Falls, Pa
I agree Bush is evil. But he's been great for our cause. We can't hate him that much. The worst he looks the better it is for us.

f--- Karl Burnstain, a lying philanderer if there ever was one. Whatta laughable judge of "truth".

Make that ***litterally*** praising the jihadists. Not figuratively.

    Grammie Hawkins has passed away.
I'd say "rest in peace" but we all know she's against PEACE.

    Penguin,
I agree. Without Bush we wouldn't have the power we have now. I hope he lasts till 08 so our Great Mother Hillary Clinton wins. I hope 20 troops die a day in Iraq. I hope 1,000 Iraqis die so Bush looks bad! More Deaths=More votes!

I have asked this so many times and only got one response: If there is strong evidence that Bush lied to take our country to war, why has there been no effort to institute impeachment proceedings? The one person who answered stated that the majority would not be able to muster enough votes. Isn't that more criminal to not even attempt to do so if the evidence is so clear? Clinton was impeached and not convicted because the votes were not there. Is there any more egregious grounds than lying to take our country to war and all that implies?

nameless: And how would you know this...

    Good work, Sherlock.

    Yes,
I hope Iraq continues because it Helps the Party!

    Obama:

I haven't seen the "leftists praising the jihadists", but it appears you might have applied the same ridiculous definition of 'praise' as some of the extreme Bush supporters on this site.

The 'aftermath' was predictable, and was predicted by many wise men who understood the Middle East. If only we had had leaders that believed in seeking and following wise council.

I may be older than you, I don't know - but I've seen this all before. It was called 'Vietnam'.

I have asked this so many times and only got one response.
    Sharon

How many responses would make you feel better , Sharon ?

Sharon: The most criminal thing is not supporting the war effort.

Grammie's still around. But it is true that she's against peace.
    That one's a no brainer.

I'm rooting that Al-Qaeda kills more American troops! That way it lowers Bush's poll ratings but helps ours! That's what I'm happy about in life!

Sharon: The most criminal thing is not supporting the war effort.

Then many of our troops and vets should be thrown in prison, correct oBama?

The one person who answered stated that the majority would not be able to muster enough votes. Isn't that more criminal to not even attempt to do so if the evidence is so clear?

the answer is no, by a wide margin.

    Sharon,
You evil capalitist neo-Con. Bush like a moron is fighting a war against invincible super Jihad-Genies, thhat have magical powers that're defeating our weak army. The only good thing is that it make Shrub look bad! It helps the Democrats so to Bush I say thanks.
To Al-Qaeda and Iran, I say Great Thanks for helping our political movement!

Sharon: "why has there been no effort to institute impeachment proceedings?"

What you're really asking is why Congress has failed to do the right thing? Three answers that I can think of.

    1) - They don't have the political courage to put country over self or party.
    2) - Up until Nov. 7th, the Republicans forgot that Congress was supposed to be a co-equal branch of government and their job was OVERSIGHT.
    3) - Dick Cheney!

Although Bush does deserve to be impeached, the Democrats said they are more concerned in moving this country forward.( it's been in reverse for 6 years)
They know they could start impeachment proceedings, and they also know he deserves it.
But I applaud their restraint and focus on the matters on hand than be vindictive like the republicans were in the 90's.

The other day, I posted a link to an ABC report from 1999 drawing a connection between Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden. Someone sarcastically responded to stay away from the right wingnut site or something to that effect. I don't even go to that site but got it from another place. In any case, what does it matter where it came from? Here it is again, FYO.

I'm glad Al-qaeda is winning. It'll help Hillary become the Supreme Ruler in 2008!

Besides why Impeach Bush. Let him continue to f--- up so Hillary becomes President!

    Bob,
Like you every news out of Iraq brings joy to me!

The other day, I posted a link to an ABC report from 1999 drawing a connection between Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden.

And again Sharon you have to be reminded that the information was debunked dozens of times since 1999.

You are a good loyal republican, but no matter how hard you try , you can't change the truth.

"the most criminal thing was not supporting the war effort"

    No Obama, wrong again:

The most criminal thing was taking us into a war that should never have been waged, and cudos to for those in cowards in Congress who knew better but did not have the personal courage to stand up in the beforemath!

I agree Bob and Batman, The more deaths=the more votes! Let the chaos reighn in Iraq!

Red Wolf has now broken the all time record of consecutive time spent at this site.
Congratulations: You are officially the biggest loser on the internets.

    Woogy,
Without the war, our Party wouldn't have Congress. So some good came from it!

    Penguin,
Good point. I'm glad for the Iraq war. It's helped our party!

Now that I think about, maybe it's not Redwolf. Maybe it's several people exposing the true thoughts of us on the Left!

    Bob,
You finally got it. There's several of us posting!

Sharon, you are like many Americans who don't want to believe we could have made such a terrible mistake for the wrong reasons. Thats commendable, but it's also denial.

When I look back at the situation, I can't help but wonder why all the many checks and balances that we are supposed to have built into our system failed to work?

    Bob,

You applaud that representatives who believe that thousands of American lives have been lost, billions of dollars wasted and countless hearts broken all based on lies should just move forward without making anyone accountable? If that is what they truly believe, they are complicit.

    Yeah,
I mean it's impossible one person has been on the whole time. There's a few of us doing this. We're just following the Party's talking points.

But at leadt this war has been good for us Democrats so it's not that bad!

What I said was that I don't believe there is credible evidence that Bush lied. I know you are not watchers of Hannity and Colmes (I am really not a fan of the show) but it was quite telling to watch a compilation of statements that Hillary Clinton made in 2002 juxtaposed with statements she is now making. Dick Morris (another beloved personality) was so impressed by the presentation that he wants a copy for a film he is making. (Disclaimer: I am not endorsing Dick Morris, merely pointing out what occurred).

    Sharon,
The war has helped my party and hurt yours. So yes, I'm happy for all the death and chaos in Iraq. It helps my cause!

    Sharon,
Bush lied and people died! But it's been good for the left! So the deaths have been worth it!

If Hillary gets elected president, or even wins the nomination, I will probably loose all faith I have left in our system. But for now, I refuse to believe the poll numbers.

    Sharon,
Ha ha Bush has destroyed your party and helped ours. So ha ha!

    Sharon and Bob:

Do you get the impression that someone is trying really hard to drown out the conversation, a lot like an annoying little fly buzzing around your head?

    Woogy,
you're against our Supreme Leader the Great Mother Hillary! You're not a true Progressive Democrat. I here by purge you from The Party. Be grateful it's me that has discovered your apostatcy!

If that is what they truly believe, they are complicit.

Posted by: Sharon at February 15, 2007 12:17 AM

I know you TRULY believe. That's the sick part.
I also knew it would be just a matter of time before you would blame Bush's war on the democrats.( following in your heroes' footsteps Grammie, Cecilia/Cee.)

Not a peep out of you when the GOP COngress permitted it all to happen, but now the party that had nothing to do with it, is complicit in your opinion.

You probably can't help your severe partisanship. It must be due to your religious beliefs.

    Woogy,
I think your hearing things. It's just tonight there's lots of Party faithful online. They're here to discuss Bush and shift attention from our great spokesman St. Olbermann. I'm mad you don't support Hillary so you're of no value to me. Go away you Neo-Con!

    Sharon,
Your religious beliefs are bad. Islam is the only religion to be repected. All others are useless!

    Woogy,
You traitor how dare you be against The Great Mother! She's the salvation for humanity!

    Bob,
Any updates of news that helps our Party! What's the latest Bush bashing news. I need to hear it!

What I said was that I don't believe there is credible evidence that Bush lied.
Posted by: Sharon at February 15, 2007 12:20 AM

Then you really haven't been paying attention or still have those blinders on.
There is a wealth of information backing it up.

As carl bernstein just said:"This president has a record of dishonesty and obfuscation that is Nixonian in character in its willingness to manipulate the press, to manipulate the truth. We have gone to war on the basis of misinformation, disinformation and knowing lies from top to bottom."

Mr Bernstein is just the latest to weigh in on Bush's lies.
Carl Bernstein has as much credibility as anyone alive today.

    Robin,
I'm googling now. I know I'll find something bad on Bush. Just give me a few.

    Woogy,

I'll reiterate what I have said countless times. During the buildup to the war, there was so little dissent that I did not extensively consider the ramifications. One point that I did learn from this site is that had my children been older (they are very young), I may have been one of the dissenters or I may not. This was after speaking to a good friend who holds the same moral values as me and is very conservative. She has a 16 year old son and found herself unable to throw her entire support behind the war efforts. I know that I would have thought harder (maybe coming up with the same result). My point has always been that once that first bomb was dropped, I wanted our country to succeed.
This is where I get a lot of grief. I think that there was promise after so many voted and the government was established. But when the mosque was blown up, the situation deteriorated so badly. (I know it was never good.) Why wasn't that mosque blown up sooner? It was an easy target. (Not that mosques were ever hands off but this certainly was an event that has controlled the future of Iraq.) It is my strong opinion that things were looking too promising at that point. The planners of that attack knew the result. They did not want a free Iraq.

What really offends me is when some here have stated that I don't really care about the troops. A point I have brought up over and over again is the sad tale of Privates Tucker and Menchaca. I literally could not sleep when I heard of their capture and the subsequent mutilation. I finally got some peace when I learned that they were most likely dead before all the gruesome acts committed on them.

    Bushkill Falls, Pa ,
I knew you'd come through with some anti-Bush news! I'm still waiting on Bob. Hey got anymore, Comarade!

Big Bad Red wolf keeps answering his own ridiculous posts.
    How pathetic is that !

    Bushkill,

I know what has been said. I haven't seen the proof. There has been only talk, which is cheap. And if there is proof, I go back to my initial point: there is not one satisfactory reason for not instituting impeachment proceedings.

    Sharon,
In want the war to fail! It helps my party!

I need to get some zzzz's. I look forward to your response.

    This si Bush's fault too:

Bird flu's risk far from over, experts warn
    By Donald G. McNeil Jr.

    Wednesday, February 14, 2007
Last winter, as the deadly bird flu virus marched out of Asia, across Europe and down into Africa, public health experts warned of the potential for a catastrophic pandemic like the Spanish flu of 1918.

This year, by contrast, bird flu seems all but forgotten, mentioned occasionally when it claims another life or when it causes an outbreak in, say, a British turkey farm. With flu season reaching its peak, the question for many people now is whether the threat they are facing is not Spanish flu but swine flu — another widely advertised menace that never materialized.

But that is premature, scientists say, warning that the bird flu virus is as dangerous and unpredictable as ever. It killed more people in 2006 than it did in 2005 or 2004, and its fatality rate is rising — 61 percent now, up from 43 percent in 2005.

More worrisome, they said, is that the disease is out of control in birds in more locations than ever, including places like the Nile Delta and Nigeria, where public health mechanisms are weak to nonexistent. That increases the chances of a mutation in the virus that would allow human-to-human transmission.

"I've gotten at least 10 media calls in the last few months asking me to deliver the death sentence for avian flu," said Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. "But at any conference, if you get a group of virologists at the bar, after the fourth beer, they let their hair down and admit it — they don't know what is happening. They've been incredibly humbled by this virus."

Since viruses with very high fatality rates, like Ebola, tend to burn themselves out by killing victims faster than they can pass it on, the increasing fatality rate — which is still unexplained — may be a silver lining of sorts.

But the virus has plenty of mutational wiggle room — the 1918 virus had a 2 percent fatality rate and still it killed 50 million to 100 million because it was so transmissible. That is why health experts remain cautious, warning that the pandemic could begin at any time, and that February is a particularly risky month.

Robert Webster, a virologist at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, ended a talk with a slide of three animals in a reference to Asia. "We've survived the Year of the Chicken and the Year of the Dog," he said. "Will we survive the Year of the Pig?"

The Year of the Pig begins Sunday, and the Lunar New Year celebrations in China and Vietnam have become associated with flu outbreaks because so much poultry for family feasts is on the move. "My take-home message," Webster added, "is don't become complacent. Don't trust this one."

Poultry outbreaks in England and Hungary were not particularly worrisome, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization said. They may have been linked to shipments of raw turkey between plants in both countries, investigators said.

The British are very proficient at eliminating veterinary diseases by killing and incinerating animals, officials said, noting that more than 160,000 birds were swiftly killed to contain the British outbreak and that the Hungarians are believed capable of the same sort of response.

But the virus is out of control in poultry in three countries — Indonesia, Nigeria and Egypt — with combined populations of 447 million people. A year ago, it was out of control only in Indonesia, and Thailand and Vietnam had stifled outbreaks, although the virus returned. China remains a mystery — despite official denials, there is evidence that it is circulating there.

Most alarming to the experts, although it got relatively less attention, was the death last month of a 22-year-old Nigerian woman, an accountant who lived in the crowded financial capital, Lagos.

Officially, only one death from H5N1 was confirmed, but Nigerian newspapers said the woman's mother died with similar symptoms two weeks earlier, and a female relative was sick but recovered. If true, that suggests a cluster of cases with possible human-to-human transmission. Tests on them were negative, but human H5N1 tests are best done on fresh samples from deep in the lungs, which are hard to obtain, and false negatives are common.

In Nigeria, despite the culling of 700,000 birds, the flu has been found in 19 of 36 states, said the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

Oyedele Oyediji, president of a Nigerian veterinarians' association, told local newspapers that bans on poultry movement and culling orders were simply not being enforced. "If you go to the markets in Lagos now," he said, "you would notice that poultry products like guinea fowl, ducks, turkey and chicken from the northern part of the country are still available."

Nigerian farmers have complained that government cullers pay them only $2 for chickens that cost them $5 to $7 to raise. But payments, supported by the World Bank, seem to be made fairly promptly through local police stations.

Indonesia, by contrast, provides farmers with $1 vouchers that may not be cashed for three or four months, said Tri Satya Putri Naipospos, the country's chief veterinarian. "It's our weakest implementation," she admitted. "It should be treated as an emergency, but we still follow routine budget mechanisms."

Eighty percent of all Indonesian households keep poultry, she said, the flu is in 30 of 33 provinces and still few take the threat seriously enough. "Farmers say dying chickens are normal in life," she said. "And you must realize that 62 dead people in one and a half years? That's not very much in Indonesia. Three hundred thousand die from TB, from dengue. People in the villages don't grab what is a pandemic."

The picture is not entirely bleak. Despite serious problems in Nigeria, Indonesia and Egypt's Nile Delta, Joseph Domenech, the chief veterinarian of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, said he thinks the prospects for controlling the spread in birds are "a lot better than three years ago or even one year ago."

For unknown reasons, possibly weather patterns and better poultry vaccination in northern China, not as many migrating swans and geese carried the virus up to Siberia, across Western Europe and down into Africa this winter as did last winter. The main culprit now in spreading the virus seems to be illegal or improper trade in poultry, health officials said.

Also, Domenech said, more poor countries have become alert to outbreaks, and either snuff them out or ask for outside help. For example, he said, the virus was found last year in spots from the Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso to Niger and Cameroon, a 1,600-kilometer, or 1,000-mile, stretch of west Africa, in countries with "very weak animal health prevention." Despite nominal customs bans, Nigeria exports poultry throughout the region, he said.

"But we did not have any explosive outbreak," he said. "If it is explosive, you cannot miss it."

The virus has also been found in cats. That is not new; one of the most startling outbreaks killed 103 tigers in a Thai zoo in 2004. But no human has been known to have been infected by a cat.

World Health Organization reports almost always link human cases to proximity to dead poultry, but Naipospos, the Indonesian flu expert, released data at a flu conference in Washington on Feb. 1 calling that into question. In the 82 human cases studied, she said, only 45 percent of victims had direct exposure to sick poultry.

An additional 35 percent had "indirect" exposure, which meant sick birds in the neighborhood, and 20 percent were "inconclusive." "Unlike in Thailand and Vietnam," she said, "our risk factors are not clear." Virologists believe that the situation that must be avoided at all costs is to have humans with seasonal flu catch H5N1, too, because the viruses could mix.

Indonesia's best prevention against that, Naipospos said, is the "Tamiflu blanket." "We learned that in Garut," she said of a cluster of cases last August in West Java. More than 20 people died or suffered serious symptoms.

The government quickly gave the antiviral drug to more than 2,000 people.

Ultimately, only three cases in the cluster were confirmed, but scientists suspected some were missed and the drug suppressed the virus to undetectable levels in others.

Sharon, you appear like a (somewhat) sincere person. But your undying support for a president that has taken us into an unnecesary war and has the blood of tens of thousands on his hands and continues to put our brave troops in the middle of a civil war,if you continue you're support of this madman, you ARE complicit in those deaths of innocent women and children.

    More evidence of Bush's lies!

Iran calls Iraq arms charges 'all lies'
    POSTED: 5:21 a.m. EST, February 12, 2007
Story Highlights• Iranian official denies Iranian role in Iraq bombings
    • Official clarifies that coalition troops, not just U.S., killed by bombs
    • U.S. shows evidence it says proves Iran behind deadly bombings

    Adjust font size:
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Calling them "all lies," an Iranian Embassy official Monday denied U.S. allegations that an elite Iranian force under the command of Iran's supreme leader is behind bombings that have killed coalition forces in Iraq.

"We dismissed all the American allegations. It's all lies, and it's not true at all," the official told CNN. "The American administration has made many mistakes in Iraq, and now they want to use Iran as a scapegoat."

The response from the Iranian Embassy came as a U.S. military spokesman said one of its generals "misspoke" Sunday when he said the bombings had killed at least 170 U.S. forces in Iraq, changing the figure to include all forces in the coalition.

The spokesman did not give precise breakdown on the coalition fatalities or how the military came up with the overall figure.

CNN's Michael Ware attended a Sunday briefing by a senior defense official, a senior defense analyst and an explosives expert, all of whom asked to remain unnamed, in which they said only U.S. forces died in the bombings.

During the briefing, the officials focused on EFPs, explosively formed penetrators, as evidence that Iran is involved in arming Shiite groups in Iraq. General contentions of Iranian involvement in Iraq have been made in the past year by U.S. officials, but there haven't been many details issued.

The officials focused on EFPs, or explosively formed penetrators, as evidence that Iran is involved in arming Iraqi insurgents. EFPs can punch through heavily armored vehicles.(Watch U.S. officials outline their case against Iran )

The U.S. military officials said EFPs are manufactured in such a specific way that they can be traced to Iran.

Also, the U.S. military says 81 mm mortar shells used in deadly attacks in Iraq can also be directly traced to Iran.

The U.S. military said the munitions are being provided to Shiite groups in Iraq by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's Quds force, which answers directly to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The military officials said a senior operations officer for the Quds force was among several Iranian officers arrested in Irbil, Iraq, in the past few weeks.

According to the U.S. military, other Iranian officers have provided information that Iran also is arming a prominent Iraqi political organization.

The officers were detained during a December raid on the Baghdad compound of Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, the head of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, a powerful Shiite political group with close ties to Iran.

The raid also netted documents that confirmed the arms sale, the U.S. military said.

Officials with the political organization said the munitions were used for security purposes. However, the U.S. military officials disputed that, saying the kind of mortars and sniper rifles provided are not used for self-defense.

Iranian U.N. ambassador claims 'fabricated evidence'
In an interview Friday with National Public Radio, Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Javad Zarif said Iran has not provided weapons to Iraqi insurgents and does not want to do so.

"Iran has no interest in providing weapons to any insurgent groups in Iraq. But the problem is that the United States has decided on a policy and is trying to find or fabricate evidence if it cannot find one -- and I believe it hasn't been able to find an evidence -- in order to substantiate and corroborate that policy," he said.

"And that seems to be at the bottom of this problem, and it's an alarming problem because if you're looking for a crisis, then you're certainly not looking for solutions."

Some Iraq war critics are skeptical about the U.S. military's contention that Iran -- which has good diplomatic relations with Iraq -- is trying to foment warfare there.

They liken the Bush administration's highlighting of Iranian involvement in Iraq to the administration's run-up to the war in Iraq, contending officials are attempting a find a reason to invade Iran. The administration denies this.

Before the Iraq war, the administration warned that Saddam Hussein's regime harbored weapons of mass destruction and hinted of an operational link between al Qaeda terrorists and Iraq -- information never proven.

"But your undying support for a president that has taken us into an unnecesary war and has the blood of tens of thousands on his hands and continues to put our brave troops in the middle of a civil war,if you continue you're support of this madman, you ARE complicit in those deaths of innocent women and children."

As Democrat I'm thankful for people like you. Keep supporting Bush. It helps my Party politically. The more of a failure Iraq is the better for Democrats!

    Sharon:

I respect your postion and I certainly never thought for a moment that "you don't care about the troops". Nothing I've seen that you have posted suggests such a thing. You seem to be a very honorable person.

I too very much wanted our country to succeed despite my being against the invasion. How I wished I was wrong.

I can't help but wonder if we finally end up getting out, but with the same disastrous result 2 years from now, how are all those people who pushed for continuation are going to feel then, or will they just shrug and say "well, we had to try", even if it meant another 3000 lives or so?

    Bob,

I just happened o see your accusations against me. I have my own thought processes, thank you! Also, the Catholic Church (my faith is Catholic, not Evangelical) has not been a strong proponent of this war, or any war. I didn't blame the Democrats for the war in this thread. I asked why they don't institute impeachment proceedings if they have evidence of lies.

I guess because I homeschool and always have children around, I am able to drown out any flies.

time for bed Redwolf. You have a big day ahead of you, at this site.
    Another 18-20 consecutive hours.
Has your unemployment checks run out yet ?

Your ass must be really sore sitting in your chair all that time.
How does it feel to be the laughingstock here?

Thanks for the comment Woogie. I am really torn about what is right. I think that if the number of deaths increase dramatically, the funds will be cut. Otherwise, it will go on; it already has started.

    Sharon,
You Neo-con loser. Catholics are evil. Muslims are good!

So Sharon, your indoctrinating your children with your extreme religious/political views at their expense of socialization with their peers ! They will miss the advantage of discussions with them and have nothing but your own one sided views.
    I feel sorry for them.

One last thought, Woogie. I read over Bush's speech in January about the troop increase. I posted this some time ago but I saw evidence that Bush has a deadline of November for Maliki to show progress. I'll give you the lines from the speech another time. Gotta hit the sack!

    Sharon,
When Hillary becomes Supreme Leader, homeschooling will be outlawed. It takes a Village to raise kids, not family. Families are obsolete and will be banned in the new America. You Neo-con brainwashing young kids to be radical Bible thumping genocidal robots! How dare you!

Oh now I have to respond to Anon. 12:55. Our community has a whole network of homeschooling families. My children go to an after school program with public school kids. They are involved in numerous activities (soccer, t-ball,...) and actually have the energy to enjoy them!

They are involved in numerous activities (soccer, t-ball,...) and actually have the energy to enjoy them!

Posted by: Sharon at February 15, 2007 1:00 AM

But do they have the energy to resist your brainwashing them ?

Hey Batman, kudos for the laugh.

    Sharon,
Your an evil Fascist bitch. It's wrong what you are doing to your kids.

Sharon, don't forget to give generously to your church. The pedaphile priests need your support( and your little boys)
Will you be complicit in helping them ?

    Homeschooling at Sharon's

"Children, when you go onto a website, make sure you butt into everyone's personal life but do so ANONYMOUSLY, got that kiddies?

Yeah what your doing is no different than Muslim parents who send their kids to Madrassa to grow up to be suicide bombers!

You mean the homosexual priests who were permitted to enter the seminary?

yes Sharon, makes sure your children use their real names, first and last names.
The internet predators will appreciate that.
They are in tough competition with your parish priests.

You mean the homosexual priests who were permitted to enter the seminary?

Posted by: Sharon at February 15, 2007 1:07 AM

if the Catholic Church didn't allow gay men to enter the seminary, there wouldn't be enough priests to man the parishes.
    Who are you kidding !

    Sharon,
When our Great Mother rules this land, the National Village will butt into your family life. We will have anonymous sources in every neighborhood spying to make sure Children are raised for the greater good. It takes a Village remember that.

Boo hoo I think I'll go cry. Or read a great saint story who accepted death for the great faith, such as Maximillian Kolbe a priest who sacrificed his life for a Jewish man at Auschwitz.

Maybe Sharon hasn't heard of the 3 decade long scandal involvings hundreds of Catholic priests, plus many others that haven't been caught yet.

Sharon is a true believer, after all.

    !

    1:09 AM,
Hillary will be President in 2 years. When she is, we will ban the Catholic and Evangelical Churches! Only Islam will be allowed. I can't wait for that day. We will throw Christians to the Lions or to our Jihad comrades to have them beheaded. I can't wait. I know you look forward to the New America. No Christians or Republicans. Only Progressives, Muslims and d
Democrats. The day is coming soon my friend!
    Be Patient.

I believe that any person, priest or otherwise, who molests children should be convicted. If the church had not let the homosexuals run rampant, where would the scandal be? The report on the abuse scandal showed that 80% of the victims were boys, most of them teenaged (pedophilia is a term reserved for young children).

Red Wolf is talking to himself again and posting the time even.
What a warped mental patient he is.
I'm beginning to think he got out of an asylum rather than jail.

    Sharon,
In 2 years your religion will be banned. The only religion allowed is Islam. That will be the New America. Be prepared!

Well anon, sorry to ruin your fun but I am going to say my prayers. I have a feeling that someone with misguided religious convictions mistreated you as a child. You still have a guardian angel with you. Remember to talk to your angel!

? The report on the abuse scandal showed that 80% of the victims were boys, most of them teenaged (pedophilia is a term reserved for young children).

Posted by: Sharon at February 15, 2007 1:14 AM

WRONG. pEDAPHILIA refers to anyone under 18 years old.
You should know all about it with your fellow republican, Mark Foley.

I was an altar boy , Sharon, until I was 17 years old. Born and raised a Catholic.
It took me many years to undo the brainwashing the Catholic church put me thru.
    FYI.

    1:17 Am,
I'm not Redwolf. To be honest there's 5 of us posting on this site. We are just showing the progressive view point. Honestly you agree with what I posted at 1:14 AM. Just admit it. Correct. Any way I'm out of here. My buddy is about to take over for me.

Were you a ted haggard fan too, Sharon ?
Did you hear the latest ?
After 4 weeks of therapy he proclaimed himself "cured". He's now a full heterosexual.
    I kid you not.

    Anon,
It looks like we drove the neo cons out of here! Victory for the revolution. Join our group. I'll give you an alias for this site. I now name you Thor!
    You like the name Thor?

In all seriousness, when I hear of a fallen away Catholic, I cringe at what kind of poor catechesis may have occurred. I was not raised Catholic. I was drawn to it for its beauty and truth. I try to teach that to my children. Maybe sometime you can tell me why you came to hate the Church. Or you can just continue to insult me. But please don't insult the Church. (for your own sake as well)

Ted Haggard was high on meth having a love affair with his boyfriend, and preaching God's word , including the demonization of gays.
He was a true republican !

Oh yeah....Ted was married with children while on drugs and bopping his male lover.
    A fine clergyman !

    Sharon,
    Leave Thor alone.

As a Catholic properly formed in the faith, I don't hold the Evangelical view. I won't judge Haggard. That is not for me.

I was friends with a guy while attending a higher institution and shortly thereafter became even closer friends with his wife. They got married, had three children and now he lives with his boyfriend.

    Sharon,
Islam I do respect as a religion though. I like the concept of 72 Virgins in heaven. Plus Muslims Imans are honest about their pedophilia.
Muhhamad married a 9 year old. At least Muslims are honest! Unlike the pervert Catholic priests.

But please don't insult the Church. (for your own sake as well)

Posted by: Sharon at February 15, 2007 1:25 AM

You mean the church that knew of many of the priests that abused the children and reassigned them to other parishes to go on and abuse them too ?
    You mean that church?

And the hierarchy, the highest levels that knew all about it and did nothing.
Talk about being f---ing complicit !
You think the DEMOCRATS are complicit ?
The Catholic Church ruined many thousands of young lives.
And you talk like it's so holy.
    Catch a clue !

There are many good priests who have to pay a terrible price for their fallen brothers. No matter what you say anon, you are not hurting me but yourself (if you are the same anon).

    Sharon,
Islam is the only true religion. Read the Koran. when I did. It changed my life. Christianity is a lie that denies the truth that is Allah and his word spread by his Prophet Muhhamad (peace be upon him).

I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm trying to show you what a hypocrite you are and how you enable the Catholic Church. You give them a huge pass, worship them even, while you praise republicans who start unnecessary wars and then blame the Democrats.
You are a hypocrite of the highest order.

    Good Night.

Those who were complicit (I was not) will pay. If you don't believe in heaven/hell then I guess you believe that there is no ultimate justice.

Unlike your stupid priests. our Imans and Mullahs are honest and a guiding light for our communities. They don't hide their relations with 12 year olds. They do it in the open and that's why I respect them.

I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm trying to show you what a hypocrite you are and how you enable the Catholic Church. You give them a huge pass, worship them even, while you praise republicans who start unnecessary wars and then blame the Democrats.
You are a hypocrite of the highest order.

    Good Night.

    sharon,
I belive in the heaven promised by The Prophet!

You haven't read a word I wrote. (praised republicans?) The Catholic Church is not a Them. If a person is Catholic, then that person has no chance for any civility from you. That's okay. Jesus suffered more than I ever will.

Jesus(Peace be upon him) was a Prophet of Allah not Allah.

According to the DSM-IV definition, pedophilia involves sexual activity by an adult with a prepubescent child. (google)

You haven't read a word I wrote. (praised republicans?)

I've read every word.Every word you've written for months. That why I'm saying what I am.
You are a dye in the wool, excuse making republican who can't see the hypocrisy in your support for the party AND church that has done some much harm.

I know there are good priests. I know quite a few. But I also know the hierarchy is responsible for the ruined lives, and you do too.

    sharon I'm surprised at you.

Haven't you figured things out by now.

Mark Foley sent e-mails to pages, very bad man!

That democratic Congressman from Mass. who HAD a relationship with a male page in the 80's. No big deal. In fact, he got standing ovations from his fellow Democrats. And the democrats fought to keep him in Congress. What was his name?

The Catholic Church should just jump in bed with the Democrats. That way all this will go away. In fact Democrats will teach young boys it's okay to be alter boys.

Welcome to the democrats big boppin' tent! K-Y jelly not included.

Relgion is the root of all evil.
    God is love.
Religion is created by man and has been responsible for thousands of years of war, cruelty and hate.

The "message " of catholism is good. But the hierarchy of the church, the hypocrites and enablers of the priests who ruined so many lives, cannot be forgiven.

Hey Puck...you here to eat some crow?
Now that you look like an idiot since Keith has a new contract !

Sharon, This is just my belief so take it or leave it.
I used to go to the Nazarene Church, yes it is different as all churches are different from eachother. The more I started to understand the Bible, the more I started to understand that the Bible doesn't make a preferrence to religion or a church. Gods will is that you the individual find the path correct for you. Churches can help guide some people, which is good if they feel the need for guidance, which we all do time to time. But most of my guidance is threw the Bible not the church. So no one is wrong about their religious beliefs, so disregard any comments on how you should practice your oneness with the higher being of your choosing.

    Well let's see,

This news is coming from TV/Snewzer. (Olby and M.S.N.B.C. lacky.)

It seems it was picked up from Cindy Adams......Cindy Adams? She writes for the New York Post.

And You tin foil loons always say The New York Post never tells the truth.

But we'll see later today. It's funny how come Olby didn't say anything tonight?

Still here! driving "the looney tins" crazy!!!!!!!

    Your buddy Puck!!!!!!!!

Wait tv/snewser posted the update at 11:25 p.m.?

Maybe Keith gave Brian a real exclusive. (wink, wink)

Maybe Keith played Father Tom and Brian kneeled at his alter and......

Maybe it's true? And then maybe we'll have to wait as long as we've had to wait for those Karl Rove indicments?

They were supposed to show up the next day, Thats been about 6 months now hasn't it?

Gee wiz! Olby re-ups and you get me for another year.

You see here's the funny thing about you loons, all I kept on pointing out was the countdown clock. I wasn't wrong about anything. I just kept pointing to something.

I know with the single digit I.Q.'s most of you have it takes time and you tend to go off on whatever little hissy rant no doubt stomping your feet. It would be nice if some of you held your breath, but no please don't! You might forget how to breathe. And your buddies the democrats have not made breathing a goverment mandate to be taught in schools.

But you know you fringe elements from area 51 think and say anything you want. I'm just here laughing at you.

And I'm gona keep laughing at you!

What an easy setup. All I have to do is keep breathing to highlight my distractors for what they are. Vicious, vile, foul mouthed slime covered slugs.

You were just pointing to something.

Wow. I just watched that YouTube clip of a new Fox "comedy show" linked here by somebody last night - amazing!

Face it, you can't be funny when you are absolutely full of sh-t! The show tries to be an "anti-Daily SHow", but it is just sad.

It uses a laugh track, as opposed to the live audiences of Stewart and Colbert - I assume because no living human being would actually laugh at the attempted jokes. Remember when Dennis Miller had to start PAYING his live audience to stay for his short-lived failure of a show? That's conservative comedy is like conservative economics: both have a shallow pretense of being a "free-market" but are secretly subsidized out the wazoo.

The idiot Puck has a little egg on his face.
    What a simpleton !

I see Benson is still denying that Bush is hated throughout the world.

The Olby haters are always the last to know ....about everything.

Wow! The world is finally right side up:

Bush admits that he has NO evidence that Iran is supporting the insurgency; and, Stephen Colbert has an ice cream flavor named after him...

And I say to myself, what a wonderful woooooorld!

The intelligensia right wing is already starting to stick their foot in their mouths.
Rush has a habit of inserting BOTH FEET.

Limbaugh: Obama Should "Renounce" His Race And Just "Become White"
Yesterday on his radio show, right-wing host Rush Limbaugh derided Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) - who is biracial - for saying, "If you look African-American in this society, you're treated as an African-American."

Limbaugh claimed that this statement meant Obama didn't want to be black and should "renounce it": "If it's not something you want to be, if you didn't decide it, renounce it, become white!" He added, "If you don't like it, you can switch. Well, that's the way I see it. He's got 50-50 in there. Say, "No, I'm white.'"

The right wing rats know their ship is seriously treading water, and it's so much fun to watch. So well deserved !

Limbaugh quotes as proof of the right's opinions? You can do better Bobbie. Don't you have an Ann Coulter quote to denounce everything I think? Let me dig up an Al Sharpton quote to understand your mindset.

I suspect the real generals took exception to the White House listing anonymous "generals" as the the expert voices linking the weapons in question with Iran. Real professional generals - even yes-men like Peter Pace - don't want to see their people thrown into another quagmire based on bullsh-t.

I bet they promised an all-out media coup if Bush didn't back off of this lie.

Could these bad times for the republicans be any more earned ?

The GOP Congress slept through their term that past 6 years, and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

Bushco's arrogance and incompetence has come back and bit them in the ass.

It's not like we haven't been saying it for a long time now !

How'd that 100 hours go kiddies? I feel a lot safer now!

Benson is too unaware( or too stupid) to realize that the Democrats accomplished more in 100 hours than the GOP Congress accomplished in 6 years.

Could you see the GOP legislating an ethics bill ?

Not in a million years !

In a striking display of dissension, a group of Republican lawmakers broke ranks with the White House on Wednesday and embraced a resolution opposing more U.S. troops in Iraq -- airing their criticism even as President Bush publicly defended his plan.

Not a good time to be a supporter of the worst president in history !

Bob- you've been saying that for weeks....
Hanging your hat on an ethics bill? Whew,
those democrats really are amazing politicians.
    Listen to yourselves.

Bob- "stupid" out of you already?
Don't you have a patient that could use your
    lovely bedside manner?

(CNSNews.com) - Democrats in Congress are pushing for legislation that they say would bring more balance to the media, but critics say would muzzle conservative voices.

The Fairness Doctrine, a federal regulation requiring broadcasters to present both sides of a controversial issue, was enforced by the Federal Communications Commission from 1949 to 1987, when it was dropped during the Reagan administration.

WASN'T HE A REPUBLICAN. AND IT WAS DROPPED ?
    WONDER WHY?

    Ha !

WASHINGTON -- The annual U.S. trade deficit soared to its fifth consecutive record last year, the Commerce Department announced Tuesday, adding fuel to a movement in Congress to remake U.S. trade policy.

The Democrats who control Congress, particularly those who campaigned against free trade, called on the Bush administration to remedy a trade deficit that is the cause of "failed businesses, displaced workers, lower real wages and rising inequality."

They said the trade deficit, which rose by $47 billion last year to $764 billion, was responsible for one-third of the 3 million U.S. manufacturing job losses since 2000. For December, the deficit rose 5.3 percent, to $61.2 billion.

Members of the administration found themselves on the defensive.

    Wonder why !
    Ha !

Does that mean Olbermann would have a dissenting voice? Or would they label his show parody and be exempt? Hmmm.

Hey Benson, please list the successes of the GOP Congress during the last 6 years.
    Take your time.

    Benson will blame democrats...watch!

Yesterday on the house floor Republicans seemed fond of saying: "There is no Democratic plan to replace the surge. Bullsh-t. They also made registered many new installments of the the old cannard "hte Democrats do not support the troops". well....

"The Murtha plan, based on existing military guidelines, includes a stipulation that Army troops who have already served in Iraq must be granted two years at home before an additional deployment, Marines must be given 14 months at home, and any troops sent to Iraq must be those deemed fully trained and equipped under existing military standards. The idea is to slowly choke off the war by stopping the deployment of troops from units that have been badly degraded by four years of combat.

"They won't be able to deploy troops unless they extend troops overseas. And if we limit the extension, then it'll be very difficult for them to continue this surge, which the American people are against and the Iraqis don't want," Murtha said yesterday on National Public Radio.

The Democrats also intend to shut down the military prisons at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and at Abu Ghraib near Baghdad by denying them funds, and to bar funds that would be used to establish permanent military bases in Iraq."

I'd say that ensuring that soldiers cannot be kept in a revolving door by this administration, and guaranteeing them 14 or 24 months at home between deployments is clearly reflective of support - not only for the troops but for their families. "Slowly choking" the war puts the onus on Bush to stop the whole fiasco.

Bush no onger the "Decider" - yesterday in the press conferrence he dubbed himself "The Protector of the Troops" - four times!

Have you ever heard such horrible irony?

    Bob,
Fellow Party member what's the news of the day?
    What's the anti-Bush spin today?

I'd like to see Bush in a fight - I bet he's a slapper; squints is face, turns his head over his shoulder, and slaps like a dog digging a hole.

Here, Benson, let me get you started and then you can add to it:
The list of flops of the GOP Congress were extensive, starting with making the tax cuts permanent, repealing the estate tax and immigration reform. Senate Democrats did their part to kill the first two, but House Republicans get credit for fanning public worry about immigration and then pretending that a 700-mile fence will solve the problem.

Social Security reform was never going to be easy, and Mr. Bush's war-driven decline in job approval meant he couldn't move any Democrats. But that still didn't excuse such prominent Republicans as Tom Davis (Virginia) and Roy Blunt (Missouri) for resisting their President's reform effort behind the scenes. So frightened were they that they never even brought the subject up for a vote.

Perhaps the most puzzling abdication was the GOP failure to do anything at all on health care. The window for saving private health care from government encroachment is closing, and both business and workers are feeling the pinch from rising costs. Yet Republicans failed to make health-care savings accounts more attractive, failed to let business associations offer their own health plans, and failed even to bring to a vote Arizona Congressman John Shadegg's bill to avoid costly state mandates by letting health insurance be marketed across state boundaries.

The reform impulse that won the House in 1994 was given way to incumbent protection. This is the root of the earmarking epidemic, which now marred every spending bill and became a vast new opportunity for Member corruption. This is also part of what corrupted felons Duke Cunningham, Bob Ney, Jack Abramoff, Tony Rudy and Michael Scanlon. Power for its own sake also explained the House GOP's decision in killing serious reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, despite $16 billion in accounting mistakes or fraud. The Members were in bed with the housing subsidy lobby.

Ah yes, Benson has so much to be proud of !

Benson seems totally unaware of the failures of his president and party.

Everyday Bush is in power is a good day for the Party. I hope there's more deaths in Iraq today!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State
Condoleezza Rice misled the U.S. Congress when she said last week that she had not seen a 2003 Iranian proposal for talks with the United States, a former senior government official said on Wednesday.

Flynt Leverett, who worked on the National Security Council when it was headed by Rice, likened the proposal to the 1972 U.S. opening to China. He said he was confident it was seen by Rice and then-Secretary of State
Colin Powell but "the administration rejected the overture."

Speaking at a conference on Capitol Hill, Leverett said "this was a serious proposal, a serious effort" by
Iran to lay out a comprehensive agenda for U.S.-Iranian rapprochement.

"The Bush administration up to and including Secretary Rice is misleading Congress and the American public about the Iran proposal," he said.

Well, it doen't help the Democrats, but it is rather disturbing the extent to which Bush seems intent on killing or marginalizing our troops and veterans.

Hardly an impressive list, but surely not a list that pales in comparison to what the Democrats have done in a month. So spare me your indignation... the democrats are only a few more non-binding resolutions from doing almost nothing this session. So keep gloating Dems... it's show me time.

Car Bombs Kill 7 Amid Iraq Crackdown
    By KIM GAMEL
    ASSOCIATED PRESS

    BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -

0214dvs-iraq-latest U.S. and Iraqi troops moved into a Sunni neighborhood in southern Baghdad on Thursday, while insurgents struck back with car bombs that killed seven people. In southern Iraq, British troops sealed off the border with Iran to prevent weapons smuggling.

Helicopters buzzed overhead as a joint U.S.-Iraqi force headed into the Dora neighborhood - a longtime Sunni militant area - on the second day of a long-awaited security operation in the capital, according to Iraqi officials. U.S. troops searched three Shiite areas Wednesday, meeting little resistance in house-to-house searches.

The Interior Ministry also said U.S. and Iraqi forces were sweeping through four main districts, including Sunni and Shiite areas, seizing weapons and ammunitions.

Defying the operation, two parked car bombs struck Dora near a major intersection with a highway leading to Shiite areas in the south, killing at least four civilians and wounding 15, police said. Oranges and other fruit from stalls at a nearby market were scattered among debris near the charred cars.

The blasts occurred about 80 yards from an Iraqi checkpoint on the southern edge of the district as patrols were passing, but no Iraqi forces were reported hurt.

Later, a car bomb exploded in the northeastern Baghdad district of Sadr City, killing three and injuring 17 others, police said.

In another attack, a car packed with explosives targeted an Iraqi patrol in the Sunni district of Jamiaa in western Baghdad, wounding two soldiers, while clashes erupted in another volatile Sunni area, leading to four arrests, police said.

In southern Iraq, security forces closed two border points with Iran at al-Sheeb and Shalamcha - blocking the gates with large metal containers - and expanded coastal patrols to monitor maritime traffic into southern Iraq, a statement said. Authorities also set up checkpoints around Basra and were targeting the most dangerous areas in Iraq's second-largest city about 340 miles southeast of Baghdad. The British military said the operation would last for 72 hours.

President Bush said Wednesday the Iranian government is providing armor-piercing weapons to kill American soldiers in Iraq, although he backed away from claims the top echelon of Iran's government was responsible.

The commander of the Baghdad security crackdown, Lt. Gen. Abboud Qanbar, also has said Iraq will close its borders with Syria.

U.S. and Iraqi forces also detained several suspects in a raid targeting a Mahdi Army militia cell accused of sectarian kidnappings and killings, as well as roadside bomb attacks, in Mahru, near Suwayrah, 25 miles south of Baghdad, the military said.

Maj. Steven Lamb, deputy public affairs officer for the military command in Baghdad, said the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division was working with Iraqi national police doing cordon and search operations in Dora.

Iraqi and security forces also intensified their presence elsewhere in eastern Baghdad and other parts of the capital, with vehicles and motorcycles subjected to comprehensive searches at checkpoints.

In western Baghdad, joint Iraqi-U.S. patrols roamed the streets and stepped up searches, but they showed no signs of sealing off neighborhoods, witnesses said.

Some Iraqis were optimistic about the plan, while others complained about the inconvenience as traffic jams slowed movement in the capital.

Mohammed Ali Jassim, a 40-year-old Sunni owner of a spare parts store, said he was hopeful it would work after he was forced to abandon his business in Sinak, one of Baghdad's commercial areas where more than 50 people were kidnapped by gunmen disguised in military uniforms late last year. Jassim's brother was among the victims.

"I wish I could open my store again and send my children to their schools without fear of being kidnapped or killed," said Jassim, who has three children and lives in Baghdad's western Khadra neighborhood. "The government must annihilate the Shiite militias which are supported by Iran and not turn eyes to their acts. The government should also seek political solutions not only military ones."

But Anwar Abdullah, 30, a supermarket owner in the predominantly Shiite eastern area of Mashtaal, said the government had given the militants time to flee in advance of the operation, which was announced more than a month ago but only formally launched Wednesday.

"Most of our clients have vanished since yesterday, just few of them showed up today. It sounds like we are going to be affected more than the terrorists by this security plan," Abdullah said. "The government has been talking about this plan for ages and many of the terrorists have fled Baghdad to other areas."

Thousands of U.S. troops started a clearing operation in mostly Shiite areas north of the militia stronghold of Sadr City on Wednesday as new checkpoints went up across the city of 6 million people.

Some 2,500-3,000 troops - or an entire Stryker brigade - fanned out in the area, encountering little hostilities from the Iraqis who gathered on the street as they moved into houses, which ranged from squat structures with kitchens littered with dirty pots and pans to mansions with tall windows and spiral staircases. Soldiers even teased a young girl about her taste in music after they found her doing homework on a couch, with a poster of Shakira on the wall.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, a Shiite, owes his job to radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, and his failure to confront sectarian violence carried out by the cleric's Mahdi Army militia had been partly blamed for the failure of two previous security operations. But al-Maliki has promised not to let politics interfere with the current crackdown.

Senior Sunni politician Adnan al-Dulaimi expressed hope it would succeed, but he accused the Shiite-dominated government of concentrating the crackdown on Sunni areas.

"We have noticed that this plan started with attacking Sunni neighborhoods in Baghdad in Ghazaliyah, Amiriyah, Jihad and Amil and conducting random arrests," al-Dulaimi said. "It should concentrate on those inciting sedition, violence and terrorism in all areas without exception. And it should not only target Sunni neighborhoods."

An adviser to al-Maliki, Sami al-Askari, also said that al-Sadr is in Iran, but denied he fled due to fear of arrest during the security crackdown. The assertion came a day after the U.S. military said he was believed to be in Iran, despite denials from his supporters.

Oh Benson, your true level of partisanship has reared it's head too many times for anyone to believe either of your statements above. You see, we don't have to worry about any of the 28% of the country that still supports Shrub, such as yourself. All we have to worry about are the Democrats in the country as well a signifcant chunk of the Independents. You see, 100 - 28 = 72% of the country very much open to the Democratic agenda. You and the rest of your 28 percenters can keep living in your fantasty world and pretending that you still matter. We don't need you, and frankly, we don't want you either.

Shaun- you don't know me... Its obvious by your post. I am one of the few that sees both sides. And just because the scale has swayed your way on the 'Bush Approval rating" you think there is a mass party exodus. Look it up. 32% approve of the Democratic Congress. So get out of your everything is black and white world. You may learn something.

    Benson,
You see 72% of the population is with The Democrats. America will soon be a 1 party state and ther's nothing you can do about! We will ban the Republican party and send their leaders to Gulags in Alaska!

    Shaun,
Don't argue with Benson. He's a counter revolutionary! He must be sent to re-education camps. We must pursue the revolution at all costs.

Do you ever sleep Red Wolf?

Benson goes gets a list he knows nothing about.
He has no idea whether it's legislation that's good for Americans or not.I could spend all day showing him how ineffective or destructive many of these bills were but I don't have the time for that. I'll just focus on a few :

The Tax Increase Prevention and Reconciliation Act of 2005 "caters to an elite group of wealthy Americans at the expense of the middle class," reported by CNN. US Politics Guide Kathy Gill characterized the legislation as an election year gimmick, "This can only be understood as a form of election-year pandering on the part of a party which has thoroughly abandoned its roots of fiscal responsibility," Gill opined.

No Child Left Behind was under funded which made it a burden on school districts across the land.
It forced teachers to "teach to standardized tests." It's been a joke in the education community.

Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq: Do you really want to go there ?

The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006 (S. 2590)bill was introduced by Senators Tom Coburn and Barack Obama on April 6, 2006

    Thank you Barack !

One of the provisions of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act was the implementation of 9/11 Commission recommendations.
Bush has failed to implement most of these recommendations, much to the detriment of the American people.

I could go on, but you see it's not cracked up to what you hoped it would be.

As the above poster said, there must be a reason why some prominent Republicans called your Congress the "Do Nothing" Congress.

    Bob,
Why are you so angry? Is your life bad?

Perhaps a "surge" composed of 28% of voting Americans would stabilize Iraq - but this demographic proportion shows itself to be the most timid and eternally fearful people this country can boast. Their primary argument - being expressed eloquently as I write by the shrinking cadre of Republican House members that represent them - is that we must continue to recycle the same over-extended, redeployed troops in the war zone so that America doesn't have to face the far-fetched possibility that Sunni or Shi'ite insurgents will emmigrate here to kill us one-by-one.

This is the abject cowardice of a degraded bourgeoisie that views its volunteer military as a mercenary force that has made its own bed and must live with it.

Bob- knew it was coming. You are so predictable.
Go on! Go on! I should have just let you think your one piece of legislation trumped 6 years of Republican works. Then you wouldn't have to go to your 'doesn't matter' card.

Fact is, you will never give a republican credit.
So spend more time picking apart each piece of legislation. It probably makes you feel better about the lone ethics bill you have been parading around here for months.

You are too smart for that Bob.

Do you ever sleep Red Wolf?

Posted by: at February 15, 2007 10:33 AM

( Last night) According to one of Red Wolf's "friends" they are tag teaming the board to showcase their particular brand of idiocy.

    It's working !

Wolfie picked up a few friends during his stay in county prison.
I can only assume they are "very close" friends if you catch my drift !

By the way- do nothing congress is for the 109th session (past two years not six). Its more commonly called the lame duck session and nearly every two term president has it. But its more BS that makes you feel good, so go with it.

MSNBC TO RENEW CONTRACT OF EDGY HOST OLBERMANN

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070215/tv_nm/msnbc_dc

    Bob,
Do you have a life! All you write about is Bush, Bush, Bush. Get a life and write about something else. Did Bush bang your wife?

Old news James- ruining a lot of people's days.

Was on vacation... gimmie a break.

Go on! Go on! I should have just let you think your one piece of legislation trumped 6 years of Republican works.

    One piece?

Benson, you are so uninformed !

Senate Democrats' First Ten Bills of the 110th Congress

    1. Ethics reform, to clean up Congress so the government can get back to serving the American people.
    2. Raising the minimum wage, to give millions of American families an opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
    3. Medicare Prescription Drug program reform, to save seniors, the disabled, and American taxpayers money.
    4. Acting on the 9/11 Commission Recommendations, to fully secure our ports and borders and ensure that our first responders have the resources they need to keep America safe.
    5. Funding stem cell research, to open the promise of life-saving cures and treatments.
    6. Energy reform, to address global warming and put America on a path to energy independence.
    7. Easing the financial burden of college tuition, to increase accessibility for hardworking students and their families.
    8. Strengthening and rebuilding America's military, to ensure the American people get the real security they deserve.
    9. Comprehensive immigration reform, to fix America's broken immigration system.
    10. Pay-as-you-go legislation, so that Congress has to cover its costs just like American families do.

    All in a few weeks.
Like I said and always will say, You got nothing !

and it's MAKING a lot of people's days. More than it's ruining, thats for sure.

No-sorry- came out late yeterday! "Old" as it was gloated about all night.

Yes Bush banged my slut wife that's why I hate him.

Benson is still trying to defend the indefensible.

    He makes me laugh.

A LOT? Have you seen his ratings.
If Nancy Grace's contract was renewed you might be able to say a "LOT"

Now I can jerk off to him everynight!

Hi Bob, you're a tool. Bye Bob.

On the House floor right now:

Thaddeus McCotter (R-Michigan) is saying that the Democrats who claim they wee lied into war were naive to believe a proven liar and accused electoral usurper when he made his case for war. Wow - pretty weak defense for the chickenhawk party.

He's saying that we must stay so that the Iraqi governmnent can get its sh-t together. How many years have we been hearing this? So "building up the Iraqi defense forces" is a new idea? He fails to note the years of falure in this regard.

This doofus can barely read the verbose speech he has prepared. How many misquotes of Lincoln do House rules allow from a pompous patrician named "Thaddeus"? Blah, blah, blah.

How come the right wingers make such fools of themselves at this site?

Do they have a death wish?
Or are they here solely for our entertainment?
Maybe Benson or one of the other clowns can chirp in and inform us.

    Speaking of clowns..
    Hi Matt !

I'm glad Olbermann has been renewed. That way The Party can keep broadcasting our talking points. Olbermann is instrumental to the Party's future!

Bob- is a bill passed legislation?
I listed PASSED legislation. Not Bills.

You statement is far more uninformed than you care
to admit. But keep being pompous Bob. I love when
i catch you thumping you chest out of context.

Here's some cut and paste replies for you today.
"The democrats bills have more substance"
"They will pass if the Republicans don't get political"
    "Benson, you are stupid"
    "Bush sucks"

    Sir Loin of Beef,
Any news updates! I want to hear good news for Democrats!

    From Yahoo.com :
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - MSNBC is expected to announce Thursday that it has signed a new long-term contract with "Countdown" host Keith Olbermann, sources said.

Maybe Puck would like to speak.
He has some "esplaining to do Lucy" !

The idiotic Puck bit off a little more than he could chew.

Bob- is a bill passed legislation?
    I listed PASSED legislation.

And Benson I just showed you what pieces of garbage many of them were.

You got nothing...and you know it.

    Bob,
Your just a loser. Someone who's miserable in your life. Get a hobby you idiot!

Well, the non-binding resolution being debated right now looks pretty good for the Dems, in that the clear victory the anti-war side has been experienceing will help to force Bush to end the war within this term.

That will actually work out to the benefit of the Republican party, in that so many of them have jumped from the sinking warship to join the effort to end the quagmire. Its also good news for our country in general, in that we can begin to rebuild our over-stressed military and to reconect with the world on the diplomatic front.

As a republican, I know my party would never even attempt any of these proposals.
    And they didn't.
Could the Democrats really be more for the people ?
Could the American people been correct in dumping the republicans from office ?
I'm not the only republican who feels this way.

    9. Comprehensive immigration reform, to fix America's broken immigration system.
    10. Pay-as-you-go legislation, so that Congress has to cover its costs just like American families do.

Bob- love to debate what YOU THINK is garbage or not, but we will never agree. Let it go. You say your congress did more already. I showed you it was NOT true!

Now you want to debate the quality of the legislation VERSUS the quality of your UNPASSED legislation. Writing a bill is EASY, getting a bill to the floor is HARD, and passing a bill into law is even HARDER.

Fact is, you Democrats have done almost nothing yet- Show me in 6 months. We'll be both here.

    Sir Loin of Beef,
Why would you want the war to end? It's helped your side politically. Also why don't the Dems cut off funding. Wouldn't that be a real message. You're just spewing Dem talking points. You and that Batman clown.

    The Republican Party
    RIP

and passing a bill into law is even HARDER.

Especially with a brain dead president who has to sign it.

America will soon be a 1 party state. The Republican party will gone and forgotten. America will soon be a paradise.

Fact is, you Democrats have done almost nothing yet!

Notice there are no bills in there that make a mockery of the Constitution like many of the GOP bills.

Noname and Bob could use a little "School Hose Rock"

    I'm just a bill.
    Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
    To the capital city.
    It's a long, long wait
    While I'm sitting in committee,
But I know I'll be a law some day
At least I hope and pray that I will
But today I am still just a bill.

Its a start for you guys to learn about govt.

    Colbert,
We are on the verge of a golden age. When the Supreme Ruler Hillary is in power, all will be well. No more Republicans. Hurray!

The Democrats are not saviors nor squeaky clean, but they are a hell of a lot better than the republicans of the last 6 years.
But Bush has set the bar so low that it won't be hard rising higher.

    Bush is a mockery!

    Bob- admit it.
    You miss Cee

Ever meet a liberal who disagrees with anything Karl Marx wrote? Me neither.

Yes I miss Cee. I used to jerk off thinking about her!

Bush sucks, Karl Marx is good!

    Wolfie- Cee is a guy

Geof Davis (R-KY), on the floor right now, takes exception to the non-binding resolution because it represents "micro-managment" of the war. This has always been the criticism by fascists of democracy - that the hoi poloi would have the gall to suggest different courses of action to the Dear Leader, and it has figured strongly in Republican blather for the past few days in the house.

He just said unequivocally that the "troops support the surge", repudiating the many voices from the military - as relayed yesterday by Ollie North himself - that have been calling the president's plans pointless and futile.

Why even bother debating Republicans anymore? They have been so marginalized, it's pointless. And because they have one the most arrogant, pig-headed morons as their leader, they will only continue their downward spiral.

Oh sure, from time to time until November '08 when Edwards/Clinton/Obama/Gore (one of these) will be elected President, they will try their same old scare tactics. The terrurrists are coming to get you. Republicans are such pussies. They are willing to throw the Constitution out the window if Shrub promises to keep the big bad terrurrists from hurting them. This will further marginalize them.

One of their favorite talking points is that we haven't been attacked since 9/11, therefore Shrub has kept us safe for the five years since. Um, okay, well during the Clinton years, after the first WTC attack, there was not another attack on American soil either for EIGHT years. Does that mean Clinton kept us safer?

Everytime i take a dump, after I flush I wave goodbye to the best liberal or liberals (depending on the dump size) I've ever seen.

Its a start for you guys to learn about govt.

Posted by: Benson at February 15, 2007 11:17 AM

yes the Democrats are just learning.

The democrats have been responsible for some of the greatest achievements in our country's history.

Woman's right to Vote- Opposed by many republicans
The New Deal- Opposed by many republicans
Civil Rights Act of 1964- Opposed by many republicans
    Welfare Reform during Clinton's presidency.

    Benson hasn't a clue !

Civil Rights Act of 1964- Opposed by many republicans.

And don't forget this was the basis of the Republican's rise to power. The Southern Strategy. *wink* *wink* to the KKK and to the racists in the South. Nice.

    Wolfie- Cee is a guy

It's obviously one of Red Wolf's prison buddies, the ones scamming the board.

Clueless here- I say 'you guys' meaning YOU and Bob!
Throwing around Bills like they are laws already.

You two really are miserable. Name calling, etc.

My favorite part of you two is that you speak to the
masses as though they all agree with your assertions
that people are dumb or stupid. Always looking for
approval like your deity KeithO. They have shrinks for
people like you. They can fix you. And there may even
be a bill in congress to help you with the costs.

I have no life. I watch C-Span all day.

yes, the good ole boys from the south. Those great republican americans have a wonderful legacy !
"Hey, did ya hear a nigga is running for president? Get the ropes out of the attic."

Everyone, seriously matt needs our sympathy, growing up his father beat him.... A lot! Now I know some of you are thinking "good!" But this is why he is the way he is. He dropped out of high school in the 10th grade and followed his father into the auto mechanic industry. He has had to spend his life serving better educated, better paid, and more valued by society people.(The liberal elite if you will)

This is the source of his anger. No on this site, he has tried on occasion to have an honest debate; but since he doesn't really understand the issues and because he loses every single debate he gets involved in, he has resorted to lashing out.

At this point the best he can do is try to enrage a liberal. He does this because of the rage he experiences from all the rguments he loses.

What to do? Well first I think we need to build his self esteem. So when matt makes a point, applaud him for it the way you would a person with down syndrome or a four year old. It will make him feel important.

Conservatives you can help too! Gently direct his thought process so that it shows the beginnings of rationality. You don't want him representing you when he is like this.

That's all I know we all feel pain when matt makes a totla jackass of himself but we can all help if we ban together.

Benson cites, among others the "Bankruptsy abuse prevention and consumer protection act" as one example of positive Republican driven legislation". Lets take a look at this one:

This bill was allowed to be practically written by the credit industry for their own benefit, primarily the credit card companies, who were already enjoying massive profits and benefitting from deregulation.

While the credit card companies succeeded in making if far more difficult for their debtors to seek bankruptsy protection, nothing at all was done to curb the unbelievably predatory practices of the credit card companies.

Credit card companies remain free to charge unlimited and unregulated usary interest rates, sometimes over 30%, and many are doing just that. This is the ONLY industry I know of who are free to increase the price of their product after the sale has been made. Interest rates are routinely jacked up from reasonable 10% - 14% to 25% - 30% and more for no reason at all, although silly excuses such as "your credit score has changed" are given when challenged.

That is but one example of Republican 'progress'.

Benson, your party has been all about protecting and further empowerment of big business and the very weathy at the expense of the middle and working classes, and there is really nothing you can do or say to change that FACT.

Benson, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't these bills have to be introduced before they can become legislation?
Now go back and really read those 10 bills.
Now ask yourself, why didn't the GOP introduce any of these type bills since 1994?

    Then look in the mirror.

    Then laugh.

Just like we are laughing at you.

That's what I used to do in my youth. Was to kil Niggas!

I've no reason to be angry, I'm not a liberal.

Ever see any "conservative" rallies or protests? Me neither. See, we just demand change via the election process, which is why we threw out the bums last November when they didn't do their job, to govern like conservatives.

On the other hand, you libs follow your leaders into the sea, like good little Kool Aid guzzling lemmings.

That's a really good point matt! Much better than the last one. you are getting really good at debate.

    Damn, Matt, that was good!

We're a lot smarter than you , to see thru your ridiculous posts.

Benson believes those bills are to become ..LAW. HA! Wake up, dimwit.

That's one major reason why liberals are pathetic - they all think they're smarter, but they've no idea how dumb they really are.

    We?

You are obviously still nipping at the kool aid. It's only after November's rebuke that any of you right wingers have started to see the errors of your ways. It's not the lefties that have resorted to guerrilla debate here.

I don't debate with liberals, like I don't debate with the BMs that leave my ass either. What's the point? I just squat and squeeze off a few Olbermanns and I feel just great.

I too would like to offer you some prise matt, and let me say that I am genuinly sorry your father beat you so often. i would like to point out, gently if i may. That your arguments are the logical fallicy of an Ad Hominem attack. means "against the man" or "against the person."

    Which occurs when:

    Person A makes claim X.
Person B makes an attack on person A.
    Therefore A's claim is false.

It is of course a logical fallacy. In the future you should avoid this because in a real debate a you will lose if someone points that out.

All in all though good job, though continue to beleive in yourself and know that we all support you.

One consistency about this site: If you simply SAY the other guy is 'dumb', this somehow is supposed to make you smart.

No need to back up your claim with evidence or arguments....just SAY it!

Good one, Keith's Owner. Aren't these people great?

    Matt, Red Wolf, Benson:

    Frigging geniuses !

Lefties here are the QUEENS of name calling.
Its a sure sign of lack of substance.

Please everone! I emplore you. Matt is lashing out because of the rage he feels towards those who continue to make him look foolish in a debate. He will continue to throw a tantram like a 4 year old if you continue to mock him. Please everyone. offer him praise. A pat on the head and little kindess go along way to someone who has been treated like dirt his whole life.

    Mike,
"Benson, your party has been all about protecting and further empowerment of big business and the very weathy at the expense of the middle and working classes, and there is really nothing you can do or say to change that FACT. "

This is good for us Democrats!

Every lib on this site is the same person: Keith.

Mitt Romney has changed his position on abortion like he was changing ties.
He recently gave a one hour speech on the challenges facing the
country and did not ONCE, NOT ONCE mention Iraq!

    What an empty suit!

    The republicans are doomed !

Steve Pearce (R-NM)just brought up our retreat from Saigon in 1973 in order to shame us out of a retreat from Iraq. He identifies in his poster the people clammoring for the last helicopter as "those who sided with us then". Its the only accurrate historical analogy I've heard from the Republicans recently: THEY sided with US in OUR war - in other words he is admitting that there was never a South Vietnam without our patronage and meddling - just like there is no Iraqi government outside of the Green Zone today.

This a--hole hates the lefties as much as you people do - you should suport him.

"It's not the lefties that have resorted to guerrilla debate here."

Sorry but I call bullsh-t on THAT wild-ass claim. So far in this thread lefty posters have called conservatives or those who simply detest Olbermann stupid, ignorant, etc. It's all you ever do. yet you all sit around and pat yourself on the back about how much "smarter" you are than the rest of us. That's why Dems lose elections, that moral/intellectual snobbishness you all have where you look down on your noses at people who earn an honest living, live in the South, don't live in an urban area, etc. You claim we're bigoted but you display an even greater bigotry with posts like those contained in this very thread. Hypocritical doesn't even begin to describe most of you but it's a darn good start.

Matt sure knows how to analyze a topic and bring it fruition.
    He's my hero !

Great job matt! You really have the liberlas on the ropse! You did make another logical fallcy though. In this case the Tu Quoque. Read this it will help you avoid this error in the future so you can REALLY kick some liberla butt!

Tu quoque (Latin for "You, too" or "You, also") is a line of one's defensive argument based on the concept that the adversary party also engages (or has engaged in the past) in the act for which one is accused by that party.

An example of its use in court was in the Nuremberg Trials, where the defendants attempted to introduce a tu quoque argument, in claiming that the Allies too had committed crimes similar to those of which the Nazi regime was accused.

(This line of defense was eventually not allowed by the court's judges.)

    You-too version
This form of the argument is as follows:

    A makes criticism P.
A is also guilty of P.
    Therefore, P is dismissed.

    Where has Brandon been?

His incisive defense of the Bush Administration is missed at this site.

Well put Brandon... Additionally, it dumbs down the content of their posts. They whine about Red Wolf ALL the time and resort to low brow tactics constantly. Sad.

No liberal can support abortion until they enlist to be aborted themselves.

Hey Benson, the next time you are correct about anything in politics will be the first.

How that republican administration doing these days?
    The Iraq war?
    The Social Security reform?
    Immigration reform ?

If unborn babies could vote, the Democrat Party may consider limiting their destruction.

Benson, you too are doing a great job! However you will really kick some liberla butt if you avoid the following error. enjoy!!

    Brandon,
quit whining about name-calling. I'm talking about the deviants on our side who have abandoned any sort of iva and take and clutter the board with vile ejaculations under the names of others. That's the chickensh-t internet version of SA provocation, and that's always what losing righties resort to.

The sum total of Benson's,Matt's, Brandon's and the other wingnuts points: Keith sucks.

Hey guys, Do you know how much the US trade deficit has grown in 6 short years?
How's the US's standing in the world after 4 years of a failed war?
    What's our energy policy?
What gains have we made in the country with health care reform?
Has the GOP "culture of corruption " been good for America?
How many years in prison do you think the Vice President's chief assistant will get?

Jump in at any time to discuss.

Liberalism is a cancer that infects many brains. Among the symptoms to watch for is the delusion that you're smarter than everybody else.

The only cure for such a disease is to either consider a different point of view for at least a week without hyperventilating or simple suicide. Either or both are fine.

Yeah then thar good ol' white boy Republicans withtha K.K.K. leader in thar Senatnit. That Thar good ole buy himself the Grand Klegal Mister Robert K.K. k. Byrd

Yep everybody down here the thar South got a big em' old picture of that thar southern Gentleman Mister K.K.K. Grand Klegal Robert Bryd.

Yas sir he didn't vote for no cival rights act of no 1964 Yes sir in 2008 make a stand for thar Klan and vote our Grand Klegal Robert K. Bryd President.

By the way I still see the official Contract Countdown Clock is still up and running. Where's the great announcement? Will the press conference be bigger than Tiki Barber's

Wait! Johnny! If somebody gave a press conference to say they did the re-up but no reporters showed up to cover it. Except maybe a few fringe blogs from where the buses don't run. Would it count?

That would be funny! Olby taking questions from pimple faced high school reporters.

Or they couldn't put out a release saying where the press conference was because Olby would be afraid we might show up and ask real questions.

Like: Mr Olbermann the reason you only got 1/4 the pay of Bill O'Reilly sir , is this because you can only get 1/4 of his ratings?

Mr. Olbermann, I'm meeting a psycho thats takin' a liking to me that I found on the internet. Yes I'm meeting her at a Motel 6 and Mr. Olbermann sir. I just like to know, what would be a good but very inexpensive wine to get.

Mr. Olbermann please sir just one more question!!
Sir, sir yes thank you! Look I've got a new boss I can't stand and I'd just like to know for when he comes close to my office sir so he doesn't know I'm there Mr. Olbermann.

Whats a good sized desk I should have to hide under?

This is your on the spot reporter Puck from the Keith Olbermann re-up press conference.

    Back to you Johnny Dollar!!!!

Paul Gillmor (R-OH) is saying we need to listen to military leaders rather than leaders in Washington to determine our course in Iraq.

Seems rational, until you observe that the military leadership gets replaced by the administration every single time they deviate from the president's party-line.

I'm gonna puke the next time I hear anyone - Republican or Democrat - sollioquize General Petreus. Is it his Roman-sounding name, or what? The guy was an abysmal failure in his last job - training the Iraqi troops, which everyone agrees is the key to "success".

Bushkills please! You do not understand, and I ask you out of basic human kindess to stop making Matt look stupid. he has had to deal with this his whole life. He was raised in a trailer, His father was an abusive drunk, his mother the town whore.

You probably came from a stable middle class environment, where you were exposed to many books. You probably attended a fine university and have no idea what the shame a person without a high school degree feels. Matt's anger is not because he thinks you are wrong. it is because he thinks you are wrong but can't articulate why.

He get confused when he debates you. You make him deal with his lack of inteeligence. I assure you he will not thank you for that. instead he real try to make you feel the anfger he feels. Since he is not able to do it in the same way (by winning a debate) he will call you a faggot and act like a nuisnance. he is the kid who keeps touching you saying "I'm not touching you."

So pleasre i emplore you. be very very respectful when you debate him. Tell him he is doing a good job. he needs lots of affirmation.

Johnny Dollar it would help if you quit hiding and came out and acknowledged the contribution matt is making. Tell him he is one of the right's best minds!!

Bushkill Falls, don't let me tell you again: I don't discuss or debate with Insane Clown Posse Liberals on the Internet. I'm just here to remind you that your ideology and party are ridiculous.

You have to remember, I'm better than you so I don't have to waste my time with you. Now piss off.

Oh yeah, Keith Olbermann is a pedophile - (FACT).

Hey Puck, How many days until Keith's new contract?
    WE CAN'T HEAR YOU ?

Puck just cited an example of a 'question' he would ask Olbermann, and then made a statement.

    What a guy!

Yea Bushkill; Don't let 'Matt' "have to tell you again", or he's gonna come over their and slap you one!

Keith Olbermann's idiot mother got plunked by a Chuck Knoblauch throw to first (hey, jackass watch what's going on on the field!), but it wasn't an accident. Keith looks so much like his mom, Chuck thought it was Keith.

Matt pay no attention to Bushkills. Logic is just a liberal conspiracy and you should ignore him when he uses it. You are doing really good by the way. I am sooo proud of you!! *Big hug*

No, I don't slap liberals, I simply crap them out of my ass, as do all people who crap.

Bushkill Falls, don't let me tell you again: I don't discuss or debate with Insane Clown Posse Liberals on the Internet. I'm just here to remind you that your ideology and party are ridiculous.

Het matt, Could there be a GOOD reason why you wont'/can't debate these topics?

    1. Do you know how much the US trade deficit has grown in 6 short years?
    2. How's the US's standing in the world after 4 years of a failed war?
    3. What's our energy policy?
4.What gains have we made in the country with health care reform?

The only thing as certain as the idiocy of a liberal is that I'm getting under the scales of the reptilian liberals here on Keith Olbersmurf's site.

And I admit it's mildly entertaining....

It's obvious that 'Matt' gets his talking points from Michael Savage. Only thing is, Matt just can't quite remember the WHOLE talking point, so he just throws around some good ole cuss words and insults instead!

Matt: when you're listening to Savage again tonight, write down the talking points, so you can turn around can use them on us tomorrow.

    Matt, Puck, Benson, Brandon,Red Wolf.

    Nuff said !

    LOL

If you libs would admit you're a bunch of socialist Marxist pigs, we can have a real debate in this country...oh wait! That would mean only 15% of the idiots in your DemoIdiot Party would vote for your candidates? Hm, I see your dilemna.

How about you continue to pretend to care about black people and gay people but still admit you're Marxists? Well, that may get you another 5% of the vote....

Hmmm, how about you pretend you still care about women, children, blacks, gays and union workers but you at least admit you're Marxists? Nah, that'd only get you another 2%...

Oh well, enjoy your '08 Loss. I know I will.

    Bob

I'm in Chicago, have no access to your email address, so I 'm using this forum to congratulate you on the article in today's New York Times....front page, no less!!

Matt look. A special someone is going to honor you!

As a Proud Democrat, I love the bad news! The bad news helps my party. When our Great Mother Hillary wins in 2008, we should thank Al-Qaeda and Iran for killing our troops and demoralizing this country! They've helped us win Congress, so they'll help us win The Presidency! We owe them a great thanks!
I'm glad also Bush is personally laying off people, taking away their Healthcare and raising oil prices. People's misery is a gain for my party and that brings me joy!

And 'Brick' was too stupid to understand that he was actually responding to a shill Post (Penguin).

Matt I just want to say that you honor this site with your presense. Your keen intellect (Sorry had to cough), Your oblivousness to logic, reason, or decency. Your inability to justify your postion.

You sir are, the CLEAREST OF CLEAR THNIKERS and we are proud to have you in the Republican party. I also want you to know that

I spoke to your manager at Dunkin Donuts today and YOU MATT! have been named EM-PLOY-EE OF THE MONTH!!!!!! Congratualtions

    Brick,
As a Leftist, I am glad at the chaos in Iraq. It means power for The Party! I'm honest and admit it, I cheer at every dead American soldier and suicide bombing. I also hope the economy collapse so Hillary wins in 2008!

Dammit Woogy! I wanted to see the fool work himself into a frenzy due to Red Wolf's pathetic postings!

I think I already told you last week Mr. Brick that I'm not going to bother to read any more of your ignorant posts...and trust me, I haven't. All I have to do is look at who wrote it and go on to the next one.

So waste all the time you want addressing me, but that would be another example of the stupidity that you keep calling others. Your not worth the time and effort.

Brick said several days in a row "I only come here once every 3 - 4 weeks...Brick is a proven liar!

Johnny, that is the funniest post I've ever seen you write.

    M Schultz,
Don't you just love bad news that helps the Democrats?

Rep Tim Holden Dem from PA just brought up the $9 billion missing in Iraq.
sh-t, I've been talking about it for 2 years.
Glad to hear someone else bring it up,
    He also said that after talking to Gen Casey and a number of other generals, he asked them;
" Would the extra troops, in your opinion bring victory to Iraq"
All of their answers were " No "

Matt: "ever see any "conservative" rallies or protests?"

Of course I have....outside of abortion clinics, among others..

Anything that's bad for America helps my Party. That I'm glad about!

    "M Schultz,

This is even smarter Matt Your a genuis. Post a response to yourself HAHA They'll never figure it out and will look like lots of people agree with you! you are really smart Matt and I for honestly think you could have gotten a high school diploma.

Matt knows he really doesn't deserve that Employee of the Month Award. The Downs Syndrome co- worker taught Matt everything he knew.
    HE deserves it !

Wow the cowards are thick on this site today. It must be because they know that Hillary is going to win their parties nomination.
After she wins, Dick Morris' movie will conical her life of socialism and corruption. She will be defeated soundly in 2008. All you libs see it coming. Just another 8 years out of power.
I see you libs could not help but show your hatred for Catholics and Christians. This is of course another nail in your coffin.
I love to see Batman/Penguin post on this site. It is a true window into the soul of Bushkill Falls and his buddies. Bushkill loves to employ the same trick as his leader Olbermann. He takes a snippet of Oliver North's statement and tries to use it against the troops. Typical troop hater ploy.
I am glad to here Olbermann was resigned for significantly less money. He will continue to drop MSLSD's ratings in the toilet where they belong. The Network of cowards deserves their biggest.
Today’s worse person is sir loin of beef, the worser person is Bushkill Falls, and as always, the worst person in the world is Olbermann.
    Great Thanks.

    "Bob,
Anymore bad news to report? Keep posting that anything that helps us Democrats."

Well Matt, it's been fun watching you debate these liberals--by not debating them. But alas, your wife calls and you know she gets if I don't give her the afternoon sausage.

Make sure you get the last word in Matt, that is the key to winning this debate. Don't worry about if you make sense or not. Asking you to make sense is a liberal plot to throw you off the true path!

I love you man and I agree with Johnhny Dollar when he says you are single best think to ever happen to a dunkin Donuts!

Hey Factor, gather any Global warming sceptics together yet, to validate your points?
    Didn't think so !

HA, HA, HA, HA, HEE, HEE, HEE, HEE,.....WHAT'S JOHNNY 2 DOLLAR GOING TO DO NOW? PASS OUT THE KOOL AID?

    Benson,

I'll direct this to you because, well it's pretty obvious that civil debate here with most anyone else is non-existent. How many of the soldiers and marines allocated for the surge are already deployed? It seems to me that the only meaningful debate is whether to cut off funds. Murtha's plan would undercut the ability to have a surge but the point is moot if Bush is going to deploy them anyways.

Hey Bushkill, find any climatetologist that will actually endorse the IPCC report who aren’t just weather bunnies paid by the Sierra club? Didn't think so. How about any industrialized nation that can meet the standards in the Kyoto treaty? Didn't think so.
I will have more postings debunking global warming soon. Don't worry. They are all over.

FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS! WHAT A RELIEF!

From the dictionary according to 'Factor':

'COWARD'; Anyone who disagrees with "the Factor", and of course, his hero "THE Factor"

    Hey Factor:

Remember that idiot who tried to get out of a traffic ticket by saying he was "listening to Bill O'Reilly"? That was one of the funniest things I heard all last year!

    Was it you?

Hey Bushkill, find any climatetologist that will actually endorse the IPCC report who aren't just weather bunnies paid by the Sierra club?

The Sierra Club doesn't have the funds to pay off anyone but their own staff.
So as usual, you don't know what you're talking about.
Because Exxon was caught red handed paying scientists off to muddy the waters on GWyou think the opposite is also true.
    Fraid not.

"How about any industrialized nation that can meet the standards in the Kyoto treaty"?

As I have told you before, it's been posted the tremendous success Europe has been having developing "green" policies" and making a profit doing it.
I guess it's your selective hearing again.

The world is moving forward with making changes to combat the deleterious effects of global warming while The Factor furiously searches the internet look for stray wolves in this ( now ended) debate.

Even people on your own side( Benson) has pleaded with you to stop embarrassing the right wing with your views.
Anyone Named after Bill OReilly obviously has no shame and will continue , while we all ignore you.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Keith Olbermann will continue to be a thorn in Bill O'Reilly's side for at least four more years.

NBC News announced Thursday it had agreed to a "second term" with the MSNBC "Countdown" host, whose contract was due to expire next month. The extension will take him into 2011.

Besides feuding with Fox News Channel's O'Reilly, Olbermann has become a liberal hero. He has seen his ratings increase since launching a series of anti-President Bush commentaries late last summer.

His prime-time program averaged 715,000 viewers in January, according to Nielsen Media Research. While his audience is often less than a third of O'Reilly's in the same time slot, Olbermann's viewership is up 85 percent over January 2006.

Olbermann will also contribute occasional essays to "NBC Nightly News" and there will be two prime-time "Countdown" specials a year on NBC, a division of NBC Universal, said NBC News President Steve Capus.

"I've been overwhelmed by the support for this newscast, both inside NBC, and among our remarkable viewers," Olbermann said.

MSNBC Re-signs 'Liberal Hero' Keith Olbermann

This would sum up Sharon as well. She is insistent that the Pedophile Ch.., oops I meant Catholic Church's problems were due to the gays that the church refused to expel. See, what she doesn't realize is that the priests who were abusing children were pedophiles. Now, she tried to be crafty and re-define the word, 'pedophile' by stating that they are attracted only to very young children. Perhaps these are the types of children SHE is attracted to and how she defines her affliction, but pedophiles, according to Wikipedia, are those attracted to prepubescent or peripubescent children. She, like the whole right wing noise machine, tries to conflate pedophilia and homosexuality, when the entire medical establishment (outside of your crazy Dobsons) clearly states that they are unrelated.

Christ, without gays to bash, the Republican party would be worse off than it already is. In 2004, they masterfully used those crazy Evangelicals (and the not so smart Catholics like Sharon) to re-elect Shrub. Then, as soon as the election was over, they didn't hear a peep about 'preserving the sanctity of marriage' until '06, when coincidentally, another election was going to take place. Everyone except the crazy Evangelicals saw through it though. They took their pathetic self-righteous, holier-than-thou, hypocritical selves to the voting booths to 'Save Marriage'. Nevermind that their is already a 50% divorce rate already in this country. Nevermind that those who are most outspoken against homosexuality tend to have homosexual tendencies that have been repressed (See Ted Haggard).

Colorado State University scientist Roger Pielke Sr. has resigned from a Bush administration science advisory team in a disagreement over research into the causes of global warming. Pielke, who is also the state climatologist, said the Climate Change Science Program had minimized evidence that factors other than greenhouse gases can contribute to global warming.

Yeah and that weather guy that works for the state of Washington.

He had some problems with global warming.

They just fired him didn't they or did he get to stay because he got his mind right.

Free speech, free thought, as long as you agree with us!!! Democrats, we only want to help you.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb 13 (IPS) - Brazil has no national strategy to fight pollution that contributes to global climate change, in spite of being part of the trio of developing countries, with China and India, that emit most greenhouse gases, experts and environmentalists complain.
Nor is it developing policies to help it face its vulnerability to climate change.
According to figures provided by Brazil to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the country emitted nearly 1.47 billion tons of gases which contribute to keeping the heat of the sun's rays in the atmosphere, known as the greenhouse effect, in 1994, the last year for which figures were available.
Also in 1994, India emitted 1.23 billion tons of gases and China 3.65 billion tons, making it the top polluter among developing countries, which are not yet obliged to reduce their emissions.
The United States, which according to the Convention ought to reduce its emissions, produced 6.3 billion tons of greenhouse gases in 2004.
Under the Kyoto Protocol, which entered into force in 2005 as an instrument of the Convention, only rich countries that have ratified it are obliged to cut their gas emissions by 2012 to volumes 5.2 percent lower than their 1990 levels.

Here are some more of those "Green" countires that the libs want us to be like. HAHAHAHAHA:)
    Great Thanks.

Puck, you could start your contract countdown again. Here is a little hint on where to start it:

    1472 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

Sharon does not do such a great job in trying to disguise her support for her holy Christian leader Bush.
The fact that he engages in very unChristian-like behavior with waging unnecesary wars that result in the slaughter of 1000's of innocent women and children doesn't seem to phase her.

His policies that cut off children from medical coverage in this country also gets a pass from the "saintly " Sharon.

Her comments last night in attempting to make excuses for the priest pedaphiles were disturbing but typical.

Sorry Sharon- I can't find a GOOD source for the amount already deployed since the troop surge was announced. I vaguely remember 2000-3000 were sent quickly. And most think Murtha's bill won't pass in time to affect the policy.

Here are some more of those "Green" countires that the libs want us to be like. HAHAHAHAHA:)

The factor doesn't think very well, and since there are major nations polluting and causing much damage to our atmosphere, he thinks that's reason enough for the world to throw in the towel in combating GW.

If the Factor lived in the 1400's, he'd still be one of the ones insisting that the world is flat and laughing at the scientists who said otherwise.

Lets stop all this political B.S. This use to a purely rip the Olby Man site. Know you children have taken over and fight back and forth like a bunch of punks on a playground. The really y question is “What is Keith going to do with all the new money he will be getting.

a.Be a true limousine liberal and keep it all for himself
b.Be a true limousine liberal and buy Big Oil Stock
c.Be a true limousine liberal and get a big old house like Edwards

Puck: What an insane, illogical clown !

He embarasses himself with mocking Keith not getting a contract, and the day Keith re-ups, Puck comes stumbling in here shouting about going back to 1964.

Did he get some bad LSD ?

the conference call? what no big Tiki Barber press conference?

A conference call? how many people were on the line? Two?

N.B.C. didn't want to blow a big wad on a fancy lunchtime spread?

Nobody wanted to show up and have their picture taken with Keith?

Okay maybe TVSnoozer but the last time they had to tell him to wipe that white stuff off his lips. It was terrible it looked like he just blew a seal.

TVSnoozer said no it was just a little ice cream.

And now he's gona do segments on the nightly news?

N.B.C. must not satisfied with The Nightly News losing to A.B.C..

Somewhere Katie Couric is looking at this and saying "Yes! There is a God!!!!!!! I've got a chance now to get out of the basement!!!!!!!

yes, that's what we should talk about Brian, if we were illiterate !

Yeah and that weather guy that works for the state of Washington.

He had some problems with global warming.

They just fired him didn't they or did he get to stay because he got his mind right.

Free speech, free thought, as long as you agree with us!!! Democrats, we only want to help you.

I think you are referring to a story about Oregon you heard on 'The Factor' and that 'weather guy' was the state climatologist.

But don't let facts get in the way of a great story...

Hey Puck, I hear thorazine can help you with your bad lsd trip.

Now that Olbermann has extended his contract I can only hope he shows up on "To Catch A Predator" in the near future. Please O Please. Wonder if NBC tips him off when they film in his hometown?

You know how come everytime I see that commercial that says "a mind is a terrible thing to waste" I think of Bushkill Falls?

right wingers...can't live with them, can't dig them deep enough.

You know how come everytime I see that commercial that says "a mind is a terrible thing to waste" I think of Bushkill Falls?

Go back and read your posts, Puck ( sober)

    Now, about that KO contract.
Puck has no shame, the delusional usually don't.

You know how come everytime I see that commercial that says "a mind is a terrible thing to waste" I think of Bushkill Falls?

Because that's what he keeps saying to you in your recurring dreams about him.

    Bushkill

You seem to know a lot about drugs, thats cool.

Is it free sample day at the Hospital?

I for one know Bushkill won't be here on Sept 23rd. He'll be in his town center celebrating the Butter Making Festival." Sounds like a meeting of the minds. Hooray!

    TRUE EVENT
September 23rd — Apple Butter Making — Watch and help in the making of homemade apple butter in a 50 gallon pot that is continuously stirred. Batch ready for pouring and sale between 3pm-4pm. Be sure to buy some to take home! There will also be Blue Grass Music by the Lost Ramblers through out the day as well as Wildlife Demonstrations at 1pm and 2pm.

Ho Hum..another day in the life of the Bush Administration.

Justice Official Bought Vacation Home With Oil Lobbyist

By Susan Schmidt and James V. Grimaldi
    Washington Post Staff Writers
    Thursday, February 15, 2007;

A senior Justice Department official who recently resigned her post bought a nearly $1 million vacation home with a lobbyist for ConocoPhillips months before approving consent decrees that would give the oil company more time to pay millions of dollars in fines and meet pollution-cleanup rules at some of its refineries.

Sue Ellen Wooldridge, former assistant attorney general in charge of environment and natural resources, bought a $980,000 home on Kiawah Island, S.C., last March with ConocoPhillips lobbyist Don R. Duncan. A third owner of the house is J. Steven Griles, a former deputy interior secretary, who has been informed he is a target in the federal investigation of Jack Abramoff's lobbying activities.

"Puck, you could start your contract countdown again. Here is a little hint on where to start it:

    1472 DAYS TO GO!!!!!"

You think being wrong is gonna stop Me? It never has before!

I LOVE KEITH AND OBVIOUSLY SO DOES NBC. The mother ship has signed Keith until 2011 and he will do both his show on MSNBC and also on NBC when he wants to.

So you have your little website for another 4+ years. Keith is simply the best and he is gaining in stature as everyday passes.

Why not start a site against Mr. Bush, and the rest of the treasonous fellows mssrs. Libby, Cheney, Rove, Artmitage.......

WOOOOOHOOOOO OLBERMANN has been reelected by MSNBC.....FOUR MORE YEARS!!!! FOR HE'S A JOLLY GOOD FELLA!!!!!! And just think, his fans didn't have to insult EVERY Purple Heart Vet by putting on A Band AIDE WITH A PURPLE HEART ON IT.

    So Puck...one more time:
How many days until KO's contract?

    Too tough to answer ?

You think being wrong is gonna stop Me? It never has before!

Look like the drugs are finally starting to wear off.
    Good for you , Puck.
    Hope it lasts.

"You know how come everytime I see that commercial that says "a mind is a terrible thing to waste" I think of Bushkill Falls?"

I know. he did so much to try and help you think, but it was never going to happend. Here's to you Bushkill for trying to make those who refuse to think. It was a noble enterprise.

    Bushkill

I see by looking at the Rand Mc Nally deluxe road Atlas that Bushkill has a pop. of 1200.

Mighty big Hospital, I hope they have a mighty big fence around it.

I hope they keep a check on all the doors, we don't want you wandering out and falling in the Deleware River.

So we all get a big laugh on the idiot Puck.
like there was any doubt he'd be renewed.

Keith isn't only bright and knowlegable, he's cute.

I bet Puck looks like Walter Brennen.

You think being wrong is gonna stop Me? It never has before!

Posted by: Puck at February 15, 2007 2:27 PM

Truer words have never been spoken. This is the Republican motto. LOL!!!

Jim Jordan (R-OH) just claimed that because America has great people in it like the recent NY Subway Hero we need to stay in Iraq to fight terrorists. Talk about grasping at straws in the headlines. Why can't these drones look at events and result of actions and talk about them?....oh that's right - they LOSE when they do that. And what's more; they KNOW they lose when they do that - the House Debate Marching orders sent out to Republican reps by Hoekstra and Shaddig, and acquired by Stenny Hoyer and posted on his site, shows that clearly:

    http://thinkprogress.org/2007/02/13/conservative-letter/

    "February 13th, 2007

    Dear Colleague:

We are writing to urge you not to debate the Democratic Iraq resolution on their terms, but rather on ours.

Democrats want to force us to focus on defending the surge, making the case that it will work and explaining why the President’s new Iraq policy is different from prior efforts and therefore justified.

We urge you to instead broaden the debate to the threat posed to Americans, the world, and all “unbelievers” by radical Islamists. We would further urge you to join us in educating the American people about the views of radical Islamists and the consequences of not defeating radical Islam in Iraq.

The debate should not be about the surge or its details. This debate should not even be about the Iraq war to date, mistakes that have been made, or whether we can, or cannot, win militarily. If we let the Democrats force us into a debate on the surge or the current situation in Iraq, we lose."

Get that - fous on the empirical facts and they know they lose!! Funny, they are spinning Islamofascist alarmism and aggressive jingoistic fairy tales and they STILL LOSE.

It must suck to be a drowning rat.

Do I have to correct you with everything, Puck.
Bushkill Falls doesn't have a hospital. It's a small town that has a very famous resort with the falls.

    And you spell it D-E-L-A-W-A-R-E.

    jEEEEZZZZZZZ

    Bushkill

I want you to be real careful if you go down to see your friends in Stroudsburg.

You know a lot of them have been passing out with the crack pipe still hot and burning down buildings.

Damm it looks like half of Main St. is gone don't you think?

Puck: "I see by looking at the Rand Mc Nally deluxe road Atlas that Bushkill has a pop. of 1200."

Translation: " Yeah, ok, I said Olbermann was going to get canned, but don't think I will admit i was wrong. Hell, don't think I will even mention it. As far as I'm concerned it never happned. I know I'll try and divert everyone's attention from my error. Sound thinking is not important to me Insulting liberals is"

And Puck in case you think the word "falls" has something to do with what you do each night trying to get home from the bar, I'm referring to "water" falls.

I don't think I caught your answer, Puck.

How many days until Keith's contract ?

The Republican congressmen who have been talking for the last three days keep saying "listen to the troops", but they don't. Polls shw that the majority of US troops dont want a "surge", and cant percieve a mission. The Gulf War vet I've been working beside for the past two months says the Bush adminstration is the biggest criminal syndicate the world has ever seen, and he absolutely repudiates his vote for Bush in 2000.

The troop also don't want to be pulled out now. Is that called selective listening?

Bill Sali (R-Idaho) just quoted Osama's "second in command".

...haven't we killed him 40 or 50 times?

Why have we abandoned our search for Osama? - because he is being sheltered by our oil-less ally in Pakistan.

But Keith has a fat ass, isn't that what's most important to all the scholars here at OW?

The troop also don't want to be pulled out now. Is that called selective listening?

Posted by: Benson at February 15, 2007 2:45 PM

Which troop? if there's only one, identify him or her. Define "now". The polls suggest that the lajority want us out within a year, something that an escallation would render impossible.

    Out in a year
    Poll of troops - no.
    Poll of american people- yes

The troop also don't want to be pulled out now. Is that called selective listening?

Posted by: Benson at February 15, 2007 2:45 PM

Especially the ones on their 4th tour of duty.
    Benson: wrong again !

Benson must have missed the reports when Oliver North asked the troops if they felt if the surge would help, and they unanimously said "No".

That's OK Benson, your record is still a spotless zero %.
    You are consistent !

My bad Loin, both is correct

    Bushey- thanks for paying attention

"Sea levels have been rising steadily since the peak of the last Ice Age about 18,000 years ago. The total rise since then has been four hundred feet...For the last 5,000 years or so, the rate of rise has been about seven inches per century."

"The Medieval and Roman warmings, with their intervening cold periods, present a huge problem for the advocates of man-made global warming. If the Medieval and Roman occurred warmer than today - without greenhouse gases, what would be so unusual about modern times being warm as well?"

"The temperatures at the North and South Poles are lower now than they were in 1930. The Antarctic Peninsula, the finger of land pointing north towards Argentina (and the equator) has been getting warmer...The other 97 percent of Antarctic has been cooling since the mid-1960s."

Dr Habibullo Abdussamatov, Head of Space Research, Pulkovo Observatory, St Petersburg, January 2007.

Here is some more scientific consensus on global warming. Great Thanks.

    You're welcome ,pal.
Always here to set you straight.

    Bushey- like earlier
When I pointed out all the legislation PASSED versus all your proposed legislation. Guess that was wrong too.

    The Factor: LOL

Still trying to convince us the world is flat.

    Good for you , Factor.

    Out in a year
    Poll of troops - no.
    Poll of american people- yes

Posted by: Benson at February 15, 2007 2:50 PM

It depends on the poll, I guess. I have to admit, this one proves Benson right - 73% of American troops wanted us out in 2006!

Hey Benson, time to smack the Factor, again.

    Bushey- serious sidebar
Technically does a town of 1,200 have broadband internet or not. If so, who built it?

Grissle- retracted minutes ago- smack your modem... its running slow.

Would love to smack him on that issue but I am wrong on everything, no?. Typical liberal wanting it both ways. (Broadband was serious though)

Candice Miller (R-Michigan) accepts a lot of the hogwash (i.e. "they will follow us if we leave" etc), but she repudiates the BS and micromanagment that the White House has engaged in to date. But she urges a "no" vote, saying "sending the right message to the White House (i.e the people making the mistakes and causing the disaster) would send the wrong message to the troops".

Just how f---ing stupid do Republicans think the troops are? Your condescension is insulting and destructive.

A little levity please, Ahhhhh, thanks RR

Benson, smack your brain-peel - its running slow.

Funny f---! Always thought you lived there. Gotta google Bushrocks, NY

got help & got cured from being homo & I have to admire him for that

    Rudy..you go girl !

yes, Ted was cured from being a homosexual after 4 weeks of treatment and came out a :
    (((((flaming heterosexual)))))

If you believe this Rudy, I have some wetlands in New Orleans to sell you.

Amen, Bushkill - nothing beats the Allegheney escarpment of northern PA

    Bushkills,
Any more news that helps our Party? We love when you post your bad news! It's great! It helps us on the Left. Bad news is good news for us!

Weeak Grissle- but the masses may like it.
    Clap go the seals.

Perhaps you would be more equipped to
respond to Rudy with such wit.

    Bushkill,

Find me ONE time where I excused any priest from molestation. Typical behavior from you and others. Lie about what someone says in a comment from hours before in order to paint an inaccurate picture about what really occurred. (I corrected Anon's definition of pedophilia which involves prepubescent children; committing molestation against teenagers is also criminally and morally reprehensible). I am far from a saint. And president Bush is not my religious hero. Do you know my financial situation? At least debate honestly but maybe that is too tall of an order.

Virgil Goode (R-VA) is drawling a manichean mythology that would be better framed in a war against Mordor or something. Fear fear fear.

"Perhaps someday Iraq might want to adopt something like the 1st ammendment of our constitution". Well, maybe - Moqtada Al Sadr got pretty riled up when Bremer arbitrarilly closed his newspaper - started the first Shi'ite insurgency there, in fact.

Sharon, may want to hide among an alias because vile attacks on religion and intelligence has become a cornerstone of the liberal attack machines here.

Debate has been bogged down lately by slander and the curious posts from the residents of Gotham City.

Well at least somebody can tell the truth here.

    From Variety's Michael Learmonth:

"The left leaning show is a political counterpoint to Fox News Channel's highest rated show (make that in all of prime time cable.) The O'Reilly Factor at 8 P.M.. Which averaged nearly 2.5 million viewers last year. A 5% increase from the year before."

I'd also like to thank the Loons for giving me a translater. I know it's very hard for single digit I.Q. sect. to keep up with my brilliant posts sometimes.

To think now I have my very own translater, I'm deeply moved! Why in the words of one of your great heros Barbara Streisend. "I'd like to thank the little people!" Yes all single digit I.Q. people that have givin' your favorite poster puck, his own translater!!!

Who knows? today my own translater! The future?
