COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN - FEBRUARY 23, 2007

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • CONGRESS AND THE WAR: Jonathan Alter, Newsweek senior editor and MSNBC political analyst; Anne Kornblut, Washington Post national political reporter

The opening spiel: Dem attempts to undeclare the Iraq war, if Lieberman turns (R) can he be recalled, Walter Reed again, another O'Reilly attack and a slam at Oprah, Anna Nicole, yada yada yada.

    MADMAN

#5: The "military galavanting in Iraq". Endless blather about undeclaring the Iraq war (when a nonbinding resolution couldn't even get 60 votes). Lefty Alter delivered Dem talking points, i.e. he parroted OlbySpin. Great thanks. Lieberman talks about changing parties. Oh gawd, no! We can't permit that on OlbyPlanet! Kornblut said it's a possibility, though remote. KO: If Joe flips, there's really a "silver lining" for Dems. Anne flat-out laughed at that spin. Olby warned Lieberthal that if he switches, it "will not be a pleasant situation for him". Threats, from Monkeymann? Great thanks.

#4: Walter Reed (regurgitated NBC video). Oddball.

    MADMAN

#3: The latest O'Reilly attack (Hornbeck again): "fraud", "ethical garbage dump", plus a smear of Oprah. KO claimed Bill said the teenager "preferred being raped", and recycled that same first-night clip yet again. Marc Klaas was there to criticize Oprah for not grilling O'Reilly. Klaas never explained why, when he was on with O'Reilly just Wednesday, he "grilled" Mr Bill thusly: "I appreciate your having me. I think you're exactly right". Klaas opined that it was "unconscionable" to invite O'Reilly to speak at that damn dinner Keithy Boy keeps bringing up. But it's not "unconscionable" for Klaas to go on O'Reilly's show? This disconnect is brought to you by OlbyLogic. OlbyLogic: apply directly to the forehead. Then it was back to Malmedy again! "Man on Fan" Olbermann at his most repellent. Great thanks.

#2: Racism at the Oscars (regurgitated reportage), Britney Spears, Conan O'Brien, CBS profile plug. #1: Anna Nicole Week in Review. In the Media Matters Minute: KO himself for not plugging his radio show on Conan; and a Washington Times columnist (Blue Blog Source: Media Matters).

    OLBY

Muted mongrels: This pornography arrest was certain to get spiked by Fat Ass, considering who was arrested. (But Mr Bill wasn't afraid to run it.) Nothing about credit cards for illegal aliens. The Brits redeploying some troops from Iraq has been Big News for days, but this hasn't been mentioned once. And Olbermahn still spikes the news of a federal court ruling because it proves him to be a slovenly political hack. Finally our weekly assessment of Oralmann's masculinity. Over the past week Olbermann has attacked Fox, CNN, and Limbaugh/right-wing pundits nine times; Olby criticisms of MSNBC: zero. Meanwhile, his primary sources (Media Matters/Think Progress) criticized (MS)NBC four times. That makes this week's Olbermann Manhood Quotient: -10 [limp].

    NAME

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olberman's name plummeted to #13,112 at amazon.com, while "Culture Warrior" is #213. (It's that 2-for-$25 sale!) The OlbyTome is #2,687 at Barnes & Noble; O'Reilly's book is #309 there, and is now in its 20th week on the New York Times bestsellers list. The discredited sports guy came in third in total viewers, but eeked out second in the critical, beloved, all-important, coveted "key demo". Hey Dan Abrams, are you getting your money's worth? Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 1 [LOW]

Oh, Olby's on a mini-Speshul Komment rant and having an simultaneous Olbergasm for BOR. He must be concerned about his own crappy ratings. Olby, if you pick on Oprah, you could get struck by lightning. She's that powerful.

Did Olbytoad just say BOR has a big ego? Pot, meet Kettle. What a joke.

Damn I love it when KO beats the dogsh-t out of BO.

Yeah.. I know we are not talking about ratings. Not yet..

"Damn I love it when KO beats the dogsh-t out of BO."

BO is laughing all the way to the bank.

    Financial bank and ratings "bank".

KO will have to promise to set himself on fire before he beats O'Reilly in the ratings.

And the way he obsesses over O'Reilly, don't be surprised if he doesn't make that promise.

    Cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo

Olby just did two self-promo plugs as he named himself Worse Person in the World. Why is this moron on the air? NBC must love that he mentioned the Dan Patrick radio show on ESPN, because ESPN is owned by ABC.

    Keith is God.

    Olby is God spelled backward.

    I just don't understand it.

I posted over at 'The Bung Hole' at 7:30 and again I don't see my post!

I swear I don't use any bad words!

Wow! how bad was tonight's show? Johnny posted before it was over.

'For not plugging his radio show?'

Something I miss here? Did Olby get the noon-three slot at A.A.R.?

Did he buy time on a time share station?

The only time I hear him is when HE is on 'The Dan Patrick Show.'

    His radio show?

Thats okay Keith, nobody watches you, so if you say something about Dan's Show nobody will care either. Nor listen.

Plus I do find it odd that Keith comes on in the 2 o'clock (E.S.T.) hour. After Mr. Bill's live radio show has left.

And thats when I hear Dan Patrick say. 'Keith Olbermann joins us here on the Dan Patrick Show.'

I sure wish O'Rielly's kids could have been kidnapped... then I could understand a child wanting to be kidnapped and away from home.

"then I could understand a child wanting to be kidnapped and away from home. "

This lovely statement coming from our own Bill O'Mengele - someone who was obviously raised by a couple of jackals.

I still don't get what KO has against going after child predators I know he likes them young but I thought he limit was atleast at 18..it's not like O'Reilly is targeting him and as for Marc Klaas It is a little dishonest for him to bash O'Reilly on KO's show only a few days after being on The Factor if he had a problem with what Bill said he should of said it when he was on with him.

    Johnny $,

I couldn't quite catch it but didn't Marc Klaas disparage the organization that eliminated O'Reilly as the keynote speaker?

I sure wish O'Rielly's kids could have been kidnapped
    ***************************************
Wow!!! going after the Bill's kids..you guys will stoop to anything won't you.

So, Keith. Just heard your rant on Bill O'Reilly as a disgrace regarding his kidnap comments. All things being equal the previous segment on your show was the horrible conditions of Walter Reed and the pat on the back for the press BREAKING THE STORY. So Arkin calls the amenitties of the troops obscene and you call his comments "valid critisism." When can we plan on hearing your retraction errrr apology. Oh, my bad. Olbey logic is in play.

    Lights out KO.

I did not even know Bill O' Rielly had kids !!!!! Boy !!! There are children that I feel sorry for !!!!!

"Wow!!! going after the Bill's kids..you guys will stoop to anything won't you. "

Well, the comment was by our "Bill O'Mengele" who likes to wish horrible deaths on people he doesn't favor.

A very sick puppy who was, fortunately, the only one in the litter.

    "In the Media Matters minute"

    ---------------------------------------------------

Let me tell you --- this was thee worst week for Media Matters for America. The whole week. All of it. Just one hackneyed story after another. They missed monday without a trace. On Tuesday they counted a Boehlert blog as an official entry on the latest items list. The rest was dull.To much on Michael Savage. There are other talk radio hosts out there. I can barely remember a thing that I had liked from their website. They were lame. Lots of stuff on John McCain being called a "Maverick" and Rudolph Giuliani being called "America' Mayor".

However --- I do like this last minute attempt to win back my loyalty. --- Where are the news reporters on Liebermann switching parties ?!?!?

Hey Keith, when it comes to Oprah you better watch yourself. If she wanted to she could have you off the air in less than 2 minutes. You are one strange person. Very strange.

oliely, why don't you go hang out at the "puffington" blog, you would be much more welcomed over there, no shortage whack jobs!

2 re-shown segements?!?!? Not to mention Oddball. Maybe Keith Olbermann would live life better as Teletubby. He might as well have the screen comihng right out of his stomach. It would save the editors of MSNBC a whole lot of time ---

    Jeff,
Glad to see you accepted my apology. Moral of the story, never judge a person!

Will Keith Olbermann be getting his very own radio talkshow program ? Will it be carried by Air America radio ? Nova M ? Enfanity ? Gog & Magog radio (a.k.a. XM/Sirius) Where where where where ?!?!? I have got to hear it !!! I would love it if he was the next Al Franken ... poor clutz thinks that he is going to be a Senator !!!! He did not get the ... "Memo!!!!!"

I don't know who could ever replace me just by saying I was someone else. Coward Watch is full of sh-t. He thinks he label anyone he hates as me, Redwolf.

    He is the a--hole.

    Redwolf,
People thought Jeff, Matt or I was Redwolf. Where you've been?

    It's "Red Wolf", not "Redwolf".

It's what I say it is. I am Redwolf

There was some lies going around saying I was in jail but I wasn't

Redwolf: That would explain your absence from the website for more than a month perfectly, Red wolf ...

    What would?

There was some lies going around saying I was in jail but I wasn't

Posted by: Redwolf at February 23, 2007 11:04 PM

jail = out of Olberman Watch ---

Take your ratings and shove them where the sun don't shine. People who have a brain have a life and do other things than watch tv. People who are brain dead watch Oliar and fox. Congradulations on winning the ratings war. I'd rather be a thinking human who loses that war.

Some one is posting using my name. I have not posted any of these post today.

Although I agree with who ever is using my name about Coward. He is a pot smoking socialist who defends Islam and prays to Mecca even while driving his taxi.

This is my first post tonight other than the one where I used the name "Teacher".

I can't beleive how stupid Coward is. He has been posting for several days now sh-t about me and always spelling my name wrong. Same spelling if you check, the exact same. It has to be Coward who was trying to use my name.

And no I was not in jail. I was on the road for my job as a body gaurd.

    Redwolf,
Everyone thought I was you! They think that you're the only person who doesn't like Islamo-Fascism!

They think that you're the only person who doesn't like Islamo-Fascism

Who like Islamo-Facism? Oh yea, Coward does.

Muted mongrels: This pornography arrest was certain to get spiked by Fat Ass, considering who was arrested. (But Mr Bill wasn't afraid to run it.)

    ----------------------------------------------------

Specist reasoning >>> Keith Olbermann is a liberal ... so he is going to censor news about the ACLU getting arrested for possesing child pornography. The same goes for Bill O' Rielly, for the vice-versa reasoning. I surely do not think that K.O. is comfortable with pornography or similar, and I think that if it comes to allegations being made when it comes down to party aphiliation --- it is a bum rush to get a reporter to cover a story as though it was partisan and if to intimidate ---> a schill. (see Bill O' Rielly... :-/ )

    Red Wolf,
For the record I'm a Democrat. But I'm not a Leftist. I'm a Joe Liberman type that views Islamic Fascists as the biggest threat to our civilization!
You're a legend around! Everyone that is anti-Muslim gets accused of being you. It's great to have you back!

I'm not a legend I'm real. Check this out to see some more real world stuff:

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5714975155113419363&q=power+hour+911&hl=en

That video is an Islamists propaganda piece.
    You're not Red Wolf!

Red Wolf: You were gone for nearly two months. I think that means you can be put into the pasttense.Even enough to be up for a "filling in". Here it goes:

*Newer members include Woogy, Billo ORally, & Brick.

*Anonymous commentors are now simply "".

    *Olbermann has a blog.

*This site may close on March 1.

Oh so you watched it already?

I bet you are more informed than I am - "the legend"

    http://www.thepowerhour.com/

    Obama,
    That wasn't Redwolf.

    Phoney Redwolf,
I've seen those Pro-Islamic propaganda films. It's crapped. Those movies are financed by Al-Qaeda and Iran so Americans hate their own government as opposed to ther Jihadis. Popular Mechanics debunked all those nut job theories.
Did you know Iran financese alot of those 9/11 conspiracy crap?

    Obama,
    That wasn't Redwolf.

Posted by: The Joker at February 23, 2007 11:34 PM

Obama, That wasn't Joker. I am

redwolf, is it that terrorist that goes by the name "coward watch" who has been causing all the trouble here, name jacking? He is nothing but trouble and should be investigated and under surveilance, he is a radical, to say the least. People here were accusing me of being you, you being me, it was a joke. Does coward watch also go by cw? They seem to post the same radical muslim crap.

This is a new low for that phantom comment maker !!!!!

This is a new low for that phantom comment maker !!!!!

    Jeff,
I'm glad you accepted my apologies.
Everyone thought I was Redwolf! I think Coward Watch is an Iranian agent!

    Jeff,
    That isn't the real Redwolf.

    obama, you forgot me!

    Maybe Coward watch is Olbermann!

Does coward watch also go by cw? They seem to post the same radical muslim crap.

Yes CW is short for Coward Watch. He just can't deal with anyone who thinks similar as myself. He drives a VW van around the country following Cindy Sheehan at peace rallies. He's a pot smoke socialist who thinks everyone should be on welfare.

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5714975155113419363&q=power+hour+911&hl=en

    Your not Red Wolf!

Anyone watch John Stossel's report? I am sure it will earn him WPTW award because Keith lives on fear mongering. Stossel's show was great. I MESSNBC had any brain matter; it would hire him to compete against O'Reilly. My guess is that after Stossel's contract is up with ABC, he will find his way on to FNC. I am worried about the puff piece that CBS gave Olbermann. I am thinking that after they sh-t can perky Kati, they might hire Olbermann. CBS is almost as bad a socialist propaganda machine as NBC.

Is there anyway to protect our names? This is getting to be a joke. This is a great blog, it is too bad certain pricks w/nothing better to do have to screw it up!

The guy posting as redwolf, isn't Redwolf.

Red Wolf, that isn't the real Jeff

I am the only one here who refuses to play along with the name switch game. Hmph !!!!!

This name jacking is getting ridiculous!

It would not surprise me one bit if Orange faced prick (Ulbermahn) had people trying to cause problems here, he has the money to find low life drug addicts who need money to come here and mess up a good thing.

CBS is almost as bad a socialist propaganda machine as NBC.

Jeff: These people sure seem weird, the name grifters ...

It probably is Ulbermahn. Robert Cox comfirmed that Ulbermahn has visited and posted on this site when it 1st started.

    Your not Red Wolf!

Joker, I was just wondering, how do you know who Red Wolf is?

The Joker: When did this website first start and what name did he use ---

    I'm not Red Wolf!

    Jeff,
Red Wolf was very anti-Muslim. He never would preach thos Islamic funded 9/11 conspiracy crap. He was very Natioanlistic. It's not him.

Red Wolf left you - years ago.

    That makes sense Joker

    Obama,
This site has been around since at least 2005. I don't recall the name. I read the post from Robert Cox 1 1/2 ago.

Jeff don't listen to Joker. I am you and you are me!

The 11:51 post is not me. Whoever you are, you are a total loser.

    Jeff,
It looks like he name jacking has begun again.

Red Wolf, so are you serious about that link?

So are you one of those far right wing consipracy freaks who thinks the goverment is out to take our guns and our rights?

    Jeff,
It's probably someone from Ulbermahn's staff doing this.

    Jeff,
    It's not Redwolf.

Man ... a few years ealier Keith Olbermann was not thee worst anchor ever. He was pretty good and he had guests on who were not viamently Olbermann yes men even those as conservative as Matalyn Malkin and his w.p.i.t.w.s were not completely vitriolic against conservatives, and he was not against Bill O' Rielly to the point where the humor or rationality was not lost when he bashed O' Rielly and he was in touch.

    Obama,
I think Ulbermahn is on the Clinton payroll!

Well ... Keith Olbermann will never be Edward R. Murrow if he sells out.

Jeff don't watch that Islamo-fascist propaganda bull sh-t. Don't watch it or you will become like Red Wolf, and think that George Bush is not really the second coming of Jesus.

There is no way George Bush could have allowed those 19 Saudi men to slam those planes into the World Trade buildings just so he would have an excuse to invade Iraq.

No way, George Bush is a man of God who loves Jesus above all.

Don't watch that link, it is bullsh-t.

    look phoney Joker,
Did clinton allow the USS Cole to be attacked. I mean it's impossible that Muslims can do it, right?

    Mr Bicker,
can you explain to me how you know the history of Mr Olbermann's career so well? So you must watch him a lot over a long period of time.

    You think he handsome too?

Nancy: I don't speak to strange women. Especially at a time where all of my friends are getting bunked by some unseen force...

Any posts under jeff for the rest of the night aren't me, I'm outta here, this loser name jacker must have got his welfare check today and spent it on crack, either that or Olby supplies the crack for his loons. The latter is probably right. Good night obama and joker.

No, no, no! We never get our welfare checks this early in the month!

Posted by: The Joker at February 24, 2007 12:06 AM

    Mr Joker,
why do you say "Muslims"? Are Catholics from Boston the same political mindset as Protestants from Baton Rouge?

It was Bin Laden's agents. They were Saudis of Baathist decent. The Saudis new Saddam had to go. They new Iran would become the most powerful nation in the middle east. They wanted the American public to commit to doing the whole job. A job that included both getting rid of Saddam and preventing Iran from converting Iraq into an ally that would threaten the Saudi Kingdom, Kuwaiti Kingdom as well as Oman and Qatar. All Baathist kindoms ran by dictators.

There was one path to make this happen. Terrorise the populations of the west. No 911, no end to Saddam, and Iran continues on it's path to being the number one power in the region.

It was the sensible thing to do. Saddam had to go and Iran had to be confronted as they are now.

If 911 did not happen and Saddam was one day crushed by Iran, then the Iranian people would go from hating the Mullahs who are in power in Iran now, to seeing them as great men who were strong leaders.

The People of Iran hate Saddam and the Baathists who cheered him on as he burdened Iran for decades.

It all had to happen. Right?

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5714975155113419363&q=power+hour+911&hl=en

So Red Wolf why do you think Iran and Al Qaeda are not working together to convert the whole planet to their wahhabism version of Islam?

I thought they all were the same. Isn't Iran Muslim too?

    Jeff --- is that you?!?!?

Jeff Iran is Muslim but Shiite Muslim who are the thousand year blood enemy of the Baathists.

    Jeff --- is that you?!?!?

Posted by: Obama Watch Us Bicker in Technicolor at February 24, 2007 12:33 AM

Yes. I think Red Wolf must have converted to Islam while he was in jail. All this crap he is saying is total bull sh-t. Iran and Saudi Arabia are allies try to kill all Americans anywhere they can. Clinton should have stopped Bin Laden when he had the chance. I bet he is hiding in Tehran right now living the good life with the best French dialysis machines in the world.

Imagine what it would look like to see 6 foot 6 Bin Laden standing next to that midget Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Those two are a real pair.

I can't believe Red Wolf is what everyone was saying or this guy is a total scammer who like to play games.

12:32 and 12:44 posts are not me, you are a total welfare/olbyloon worthless loser. You will be taken care of! Mark my words, Jeff.

Never a night goes by that Jeff/Redwolf doesn't bring up his favorite subject - dicks!

I think Coward Watch is right - you are a highly regressed closet homo sexual just like Ted Haggard. You do meth and take it like a man while you pray to Jesus that Islamofascists won't kick you door in and take you guns?

Rust-Tierney admitted to investigators that he had downloaded videos and images from child pornography websites onto CD-ROMs, according to the complaint.

The videos described in the complaint depict graphic forcible intercourse with prepubescent females. One if the girls is described in court documents as being "seen and heard crying", another is described as being "bound by rope."

The investigation is being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and the Arlington County Police as part of the Northern Virginia and District of Columbia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Rust-Tierney made an initial appearance in a federal court in Alexandria, VA, Friday. He is being detained pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday, February 28.

Rust Tierney coaches various youth sports teams in and around Arlington, Virginia, according to court documents.

In the past, Rust-Tierney had argued against restricting Internet access in public libraries in Virginia, writing, "Recognizing that individuals will continue to behave responsibly and appropriately while in the library, the default should be maximum, unrestricted access to the valuable resources of the Internet."

Calls to Rust-Tierney's home were not answered and calls to the ACLU of Virginia were not immediately returned.

Another sighting of "one" on the left.

Let's see, where do republicans get their money? Oh that would be the oil companies our soldiers are dying for in Iraq. And who else gives millions upon millions to the republicans? Oh that would military industrial contractors. And who else? Oh that would be the pharmaceutical companies. And oh let us not forget that one billionaire guy who owns News Corp that owns Fox News who owns Sean Hannity the number one "liberal" basher on tv.

Boy how do those Democrats do it with just Soros? They must having something else going for them if they still kick the republicans ass time after time.

While Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh were foaming at the mouth for the 8 years the Clinton's were being hounded by a $70million investigation by Ken Starr. What did the tax payers get for their money? Zilch, zip, nada!

And after the impeachment by the Republican Newt Getrich party? Bill Clinton ends up with polls higher than Reagan's all time favorability. Bill Clinton is loved by 70% of the nation and then Hilary becomes a senator.

All that money and the more you spend to spread lies. Even with 24/7 Fox News attacking the democrats you still can't do anything unless it done through corruption with slime balls like Tom Delay.

You are one pathetic idiot. Joker would be about right to describe you Red Wolf, Jeff and Bicker.

Faking posers who don't know jack sh-t about anything. Just a bunch grease monkey losers.

$20 worth of premium boy. And don't forget to clean the windshield!

Besides Soros the democrats get their money from the Chinses Army. They also have the media on their side. Stop denying this.
The Dems have a better propaganda machine than the Republicans. i know. I'm a Democrat.

Now I ask you, how more self deluded can a person be and still be able to function at all?

"The media is on the democrats side."

Oh yea I forgot CNN, MSNBC, CBS and ABC never went along with the "blame it on Saddam" farce right after 911 so we could trick the mostly white southern families to support sending their sons to die in Iraq for Exxon-Mobile and Chevron.

CNN has a job, pretend to be moderate. It is 100% behind the neo-con plan to take Iraq and Iran. The rest of the media never once tried to stop this war before it began you a--hole. 100% of them were total TAS USSR propaganda machines just as they are now.

    You are one dumb a--hole!

This propaganda servent to the Republicans is slammed by Keith Olbermann. This get's Bill O'reilly to pay you and a few others to haunt this page. You play stupid and act like you are real. Like are so stupid you actually think believe Bush is not the ultimate wolf is sheep's clothes.

No one is that stupid. You have to paid to waste your time the way you do.

Bill Orally has paid you by the hour to be here as long as you have been.

No one can be as stupid as you.... except maybe Red Wolf.

Why would Billo do this? Because Olbermann has slapped him across the face with his glove many times.

    Who Stupid Can You Be?,
People are entitled to their opinions.
In a head up debate O'Reilly would tear Olbermann apart.
In fact O'Reilly is more mainstream, than Olbermann. The debate should be Michael Savage vs. Olbermann. I would bet on Savage.
Look calm down and smoke some reefer. Life is good my friend!

O'Reilly frequently uses the terms "Meltdown" and "hiding under his desk" on his show... clever, subtle, and funny jabs compared to Keith's moronic insults.

i love how scarborough the other night had a segment about bor's obsession with nbc news, because over the last few weeks bor has been on the arkin/alard story. joe however did not mention the fact the krazy keif pretty much talks about fox news and bor on a nightly basis. joe what has happened to you?

I wonder if anyone REALLY wants to know what's going on in Iraq.Do you care?
If you don't, then just pass over to the next post about who Red Wolf is or that Keith sux.

My local Congressman from NJ ,Rob Andrews just got back from a four day visit from the war zone and gave a report at the state house.
He said, "It's been a fiscal disaster" !
"We've sent the best people in the world to execute the worst policy" !..who listed a litany of setbacks from Baghdad's worsening mean streets to millions of dollars spent on projects that barely materialize.
Andrews said military commanders told him "behind closed doors" during his 4 day visit that the Bush policy is flawed."American military leaders understand this better than their commander -in-chief does," Andrews said.
"This is a civil war". He argued that it requires regional diplomacy instead of the administration's troop buildup.

Andrews said he favors voting to equip US forces but to contain what powers the president has to continue the war.
He also said thatIraq's leaders-primarily rival Shiite and Sunni Muslims-WOULD NEVER SET ASIDE DIFFERENCES AND COOPERATE IN BUILDING A STATE UNLESS AMERICA ANNOUNCES IT WILL DEPART,LEAVING IRAQIS ALONE TO BUILD A FUTURE.
Andrews said Iraqi factions won't settle their differences "if Americans are always there to fix things."
He noted that during his visit in 2004, he could mingle with Iraqi citizens and drive thru the streets. Now visitors are locked down in the Green Zone in Baghdad and on secured military bases elsewhere.

Andrews also said training and equipping an Iraqi soldier costs the U.S. more than twice what it costs the American soldier.
Also a $500 million police academy in Jordon does not document Iraqi recruits, creating concern that insurgents are infiltrating the force.
Andrews was also surprised to learn that Parsons Infrastructure and Technology Group had won a contract to build 151 health clinics in Iraq but delivered only six, WITH EQUIPMENT FOR THE CLINICS DETERIORATING IN WAREHOUSES.
Where did all (of our tax) money go for the other 145 health clinics?
Down the Bush/Cheney black hole of waste and fraud !

For six despotic years, an intimidated Congress kowtowed to the Bush/Cheney regime and drank the Koolaid of deception, falsehoods and ruinous polcies.
Now after 4 years of war and opposed occupation by American and other foreign troops in the slaughterhouse once known as the Republic of Iraq,a newly liberated Congress is finally saying,"No more war,no more troops, no more money",for Bush's folly !
The vast majority of Americans oppose further engagement in a lost venture. The thousands of wasted lives on both sides and billions of scarce tax dollars spent to enrich war profiteers and sustain our own regime's hegemonic ambitions must be halted by a unified Congress.
Enough is enough.America can no longer permit a Napoleonic wannabe to subjectively decide the fate of an unwilling populace, be it Iraq or our own.

Where's my check from O'Reilly/Fox/Murdoch/the right-wing???? Did they forget to pay me?

We need a Habeas Corpus Meter or something...Some Ross Perot Chart.

How many minutes of air time and speshul comments to Citizen Keith Dedicate to Habeas Corpus versus after the ruling by the Federal Courts? On Olby-Planet, journalism peters out after a bad ruling for KO's spin.

The extra deplorable one is truly deplorable.

Wait to Scooter gets acquitted or hung jury.
KO will be calling in sick.

The deplorable one is so predictable.

    L.F.

HARTFORD, Conn. - U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman rejected speculation Friday that he would join the Republican Party, calling the notion "much ado about nothing."

The Lapdog Cee can now change clothes after his wet dreams of Lieberman jumping sides.

"Wait to Scooter gets acquitted or hung jury.
KO will be calling in sick"

Uberloon has already declared the verdict "irrelevant", or in Keithspeak "guilty". More objective journalism from "the most honest man in news". What a hoot.

Concerning the Habeas Corpus decision by the federal court appeals panel:

"This is just a stop along the way to the Supreme Court," says David Remes, a lawyer at Covington and Burling in Washington, D.C., who represents 17 Yemenis being held at Guantanamo.

Most analysts emphasized the interim nature of the ruling. They view the 25-page panel opinion and 34-page dissent as a prelude to a major constitutional showdown at the nation's highest court.

"What's critical is [that] this case is going to the Supreme Court for final resolution," says Carl Tobias, a professor at the University of Richmond Law School. "We have a very splintered DC Circuit opinion."

    One more thing:

About 400 detainees are currently held at Guantanamo. According to MSNBC.com, 110 are labeled ready for release. Among the others, only several dozen are likely to face trial before special organized military commissions. For those remaining, there appears to be no end in sight to their detention.

Most detainees are not guilty of ANYTHING. But that's not stopping the Bush ad. from locking up people who were "given" to them by rival drug lords.

This situation has been the blackest mark on American history and will forever stain our country when we claim moral superiority to other countries.

    Professor Honeydew pathetically demands.....

"Enough is enough.America can no longer permit a Napoleonic wannabe to subjectively decide the fate of an unwilling populace, be it Iraq or our own."

Why are your impotent leaders not holding impeachment hearings to remove Napoleon and his dark assistant from office?

The weak, lazy and dishonorable Democrats have only the election of 2008 on their puny minds, professor, and will not change one iota of the administration's policy in Iraq....

"[Gathering of Eagles] Vietnam veterans held a press conference yesterday about their mission on March 17. On that day, anti-war activists from ANSWER plan to protest at the Vietnam War memorial in Washington. From their mission statement:

"1. Gathering of Eagles is non-partisan. While each member has his or her own political beliefs, our common love and respect for America and her heroes is what brings us together.

"2. We are a non-violent, non-confrontational group. We look to defend, not attack. Our focus is guarding our memorials and their grounds.

"3. We believe that the war memorials are sacred ground; as such, we will not allow them to be desecrated, used as props for political statements, or treated with anything less than the solemn and heartfelt respect they–and the heroes they honor–deserve.

"4. We are wholly and forever committed to our brothers and sisters in uniform. As veterans, we understand their incredible and noble sacrifices, made of their own accord for a nation they love more than life itself. As family members, we stand by them, and as Americans, we thank God for them.

"5. We believe in and would give our lives for the precious freedoms found in our Constitution. We believe that our freedom of speech is one of the greatest things our country espouses, and we absolutely hold that any American citizen has the right to express his or her approval or disapproval with any policy, law, or action of our nation and her government in a peaceful manner as afforded by the laws of our land.

"6. However, we are adamantly opposed to the use of violence, vandalism, physical or verbal assaults on our veterans, and the destruction or desecration of our memorials. By defending and honoring these sacred places, we defend and honor those whose blood gave all of us the right to speak as freely as our minds think."

As for the poster who mentioned an orange face/o'reilly debate, that would be priceless, o'reilly would have him in the fetal position, huddled in the corner w/his thumb in his mouth, sitting in a puddle of his own piss! Joker, obama and other olbywatch regulars, I will no longer be using a name, since Keith has hired a crack fein to steal names and make fake posts. I sent an e-mail to J$ expressing my concerns for the integrity of this wonderful blog, but, I got no response.

I thought it odd that KO did not make Bill & Oprah the #1 worst person(s) in the World (the other night). I thought it was a little chicken sh-t to be honest. I felt he didn't want to be hard on Oprah (keeping his "doors" open for a future appearance on her show). Then Steve Young wrote a blistering post about Oprah being duped by Bill O'Reilly. Initially the author was scheduled to appear on Countdown, but then this appeared at his post later in the day....
From the Huffington Post: O'Reilly Jobs Oprah: She Owes Audience an Apology 2-23-07

The fact that the author writes "Unlset the TIVO. SY" (I think he meant Unset the TIVO) is creepy enough. Just because HE isn't on, you shouldn't watch. Like the ISSUE isn't important. Though he seems very passionate in his writing about this issue and makes some valid points, it all feels a little like grandstanding. That being said, I want to make it clear that what Bill O'Reilly said was absolutely wrong and he should apologize. But KO bumps a Huffington Post Blogger to get the bigger fish, Mark Klaas (hopefully) to rip on Bill O'Reilly, (which he never really does, at least it doesn't appear whole hearted). Mr. Klaas was intently trying to get the real message out about protecting kids. KO's mini rant was very creepy because he was not really responding/listening to his guest; he just seems bent on staying in one gear called O'Reilly. It is getting very tedious.

    Cee,

I ran across this and thought you might find it interesting.

Watchingolbermannwatch cracks me up. I already feel a little denigration participating in a blog about someone so irrelevant as olbermann. A blog about a blog about Olbermann. That is just, well, pathetic.

"More desecration planned so as to end the war, professor?.....I sure do hope no one from your group spits at these guys like they did in January!"

Are you still going on about that? The fact that NO ONE can corroborate Mr. Sparling's story (including the reporter who wrote the article) AND the fact that Sparling seems to be at the center of every "liberals hate the troops story" makes me highly suspicious...

And the people who "vandalized" the Capitol steps were ANARCHISTS. They even ADMITTED they were NOT part of the anti-war protest, but that they were using it for "cover" to carry out their own action. And the Capitol Police were ORDERED NOT to engage them by their superiors.

Fox News will have a show on blogs on sunday with Michelle Malkin. I wonder if Olbermann watch will be on?

    Ulbermahn is a hack!
He needs Cialis to perform in the sack!
Sometimes I think he's on crack!

The DU crowd has seen the article where the writer came to the conclusion that Keith is a mysognist. They've attacked the person for telling the truth but they've gone a step beyond that, tracked down the writer's mail and posts they made on a friend's blog and elsewhere on the internet. Apparently DU condones internet stalking and the posting of personal information about a writer when they tell the truth about a liberal hero even if that truth was posted on a liberal website. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=315x75878

Of course Keith didn't cover that porn story. How soon would he be all over the story if instead it was someone from the NRA....

Look, this is a group of over-the-hill old maids who forced another KO fan group out of business because that fan group would, on occasion, tell the truth about Keith. That's not allowed in Olbyloonland, at the very same time they hail Olbermann as being a great "truthteller".It's all part of being a hypocritical fan of the even more hypocritical Keith Olbermann.

Remember the old Soviet Union? Where the executive would issue "facts", where the useful idiots would repeat them ad nauseum? Where dissension was considered treason? Where people who spoke against the president were reviled in all sorts of ad hominen ways? Where torture was supported? Where restrictions in civil rights were applauded? Where unwavering support of the executive branch of government was a mark of the "faithful".

    Think about it.

Walter Reed as "regurgitated NBC". Not much sympathy for GIs who have sacriced limbs apparently.

"Look, this is a group of over-the-hill old maids who forced another KO fan group out of business because that fan group would, on occasion, tell the truth about Keith."

Keep telling yourself that Brandon. Sooner or later, you might actually get someone else to believe that...

    I believe it!

    testing123

    test

    "Remember the old Soviet Union?"

Sure, we all remember the Soviet Union.

Any comparison between that totalitarian system and America today can only be made by historical illiterates, fools, or ideologues.

We just had Bill Maher on national television call Bush just about every name in the book.

In the Soviet Union, he would have been shot.

    In America, he'll be praised.

So much for your strained comparison.

Try again. This time with substance, logic, history and facts.

Keith Olbermann has repeatedly denounced the policies of this Administration.

He has called Bush a liar, Rumsfeld dishonest and the government a "form of fascism."

And the result? He get a multi-year television contract.

In the Soviet Union, he would have gotten a multi-year prison sentence.

Any similarities made between the Soviet Union circa 1980 and America today can only be created within twisted - or empty - minds.

    Very twisted.

    Or very empty.

Read their posts. Look at their pictures. It's all right there for anyone to see and there's no spinning the truth where Keith or his fans are concerned, but God knows the try. And now they've apparently expanded their full-time job of Olbermann-defending/spinning all over the internet to also include cyberstalking anyone who dares think he's anything less than perfect. They aren't defenders of free speech, their attackers of anyone who doesn't worship Olbermann.

Brandon, last night, I am pretty sure Orange faced fat ass was here himself namejacking and making an ass out of himself. This website is a thorn in his side. If this site closes, I will immediately open a new one. I hope this one stays online, though. Bob and John do a great job.

I noticed something interesting on the radio show this week. Olbermann was making comments about what a slacker that Anderson Cooper was and how he wore blue bulletproof vests when he was in the field to "match his eyes". Guess where I've heard those very same type of comments? In KO fan forums. Either Olbermann is posting on his own fan threads (and since we know he solicits fans for sex, that's totally possible) or he's reading them. I don't know which is more pathetic.

Has KK even been to Iraq? I don't like 360 spinner, but, KK has some nerve to blast someone who has 3 times the balls he does, even though AC is half his size! Orangy's hypocrisy knows no boundaries, as Wyatt Earp would say....

KK? Do you mean Olbermann? If so, the answer is hell no. Olbermann never went down to cover a single hurricane, not even Hurricane Katrina. He's never been to Iraq. He didn't cover the Tsunami either. He simply does not cover stories from the field unless they involve sitting in a cushy "location" studio in D.C. or NYC. His fans like to say it's because he has "illnesses" which prevent his flying but they somehow can't explain how it is that Olbermann can fly to Los Angeles several times a year to appear on talk shows and receive awards or how Olbermann could travel to Florida three times last year to watch Spring Training baseball games.

See, Olbermann's fans spend a great majority of their time trying to apologize for something Olbermann has or hasn't done. They come up with excuses for him, whether they have a single thread of truth in them. You know that Nazi salute he made? Total photoshop job according to them. A part of a sophisticated plot to destroy Keith's "credibility" between the writer of the article that appeared in a well-respected television industry journal and the photographer who took that photo. That wild-ass theory went away though when Olbermann went on Jay Leno's show and "joked" about flashing the deeply offensive Heil Hitler salute. And about that salute? Why that's just an obscure reference to a mistake that o'Reilly made on air and later corrected.

See, that's why Olbermann is "justified" for his outrageous behaviors. Sort of how the Tom Paine.com writer has now called him out on his remarks towards women on air. Their excuse? Paris and Britney are sluts and they deserve it! The irony of a group of women attacking other women isn't lost on me but it sure seems to be lost on them, along with a lot of other things, like common sense where Olbermann is concerned. They are utterly deaf, dumb and blind when it comes to Olbermann's many, many, many flaws and shortcomings.

"Olbermann never went down to cover a single hurricane".

So Olbermann can't really say "the answer is blowing in the wind", can he?

    KK-Krazy Keith-Orangy-Orange Faced prick, etc.

Some of you people speak about the old Soviet Union fondly, as if you wish the US were just like they were?

    Wierd!

Also, another one is "Ulbermahn" like Bill O pronounced it, that was great.

    Jeff,
You claimed "the terrorists that we are holding were all detained in 'combat' situations, i.e. weapons in posession, shooting at us, posessing bomb making material (contraband), 4' knives, ya' know? You probably think we just drove around picking up people randomly, but, it's not the case. These people all want to kill you and me, get it?" Could you explain why detainees were released from Guantanamo?
If they are all terrorists, why did Bush allow some to be released?

Colbert, that would be known as a "huge mistake." Most of them have probably already been re-arrested.

I was young and stupid once, and I thought that everyone who criticized my president was either a traitor, or at least un-American. Then I grew up and came to understand that exercising your freedom of speech in order to speak out against what is wrong, in an effort to make America a better place, is he truest expression of patriotism there is.

It's so sad that some do not understand or appreciate this basic principal.

patriot, just one little fact about the 'old Soviet Union' under their dear leader, Stalin. During his purges he would send orders to various cities to round up 15,000, 25,000 or sometimes 50,000 to be executed or spirited away with no information to ever follow.

For what reason? None required. The random unknown and unknowable reason? Because that total randomness instilled the supreme degree of fear and terror.

And this is what you and your ilk ascribe to GWB et al.

As you said, THINK ABOUT IT.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

"It's so sad that some do not understand or appreciate this basic principal."

So when David Duke says that Bush and the US government are controlled by the Zionists and Jews, he's patriotic?

Or when the "Truthers" say that Bush and the administration were involved in the 9/11 attacks, they're patriots too?

    I don't think so.

Not all criticism of the government's policies merit respect.

Mutt, I am pretty sure that's the purpose of this blog, trying to make America a better place AND making sure the truth is told.

"It's so sad that some do not understand or appreciate this basic principal."

    Yes, isn't it.

When people say that the Democratic party's policies in Iraq are short-sighted, they are criticized.

And when people say that the liberal policies weaken us, they are accused of being fascists or being mean-spirited.

Why can't people realize that when others criticize liberal politicians or Democratic officials, they are true patriots.

If David Duke really believes it when he says it, then yes, he is being patriotic, even if he is a misguided bigot.

The beauty of our system is that rationality will prevail in the long run, as long as people are given access to the truth.

The David Duke's of America will always be overuled.

The David Duke's of America will always be overuled.

So, Duke is patriot when he says that Jews run America and that black Americans have too much power and that they are destroying the country?

And Rush Limbaugh, when he condemned Clinton and liberal politicians, is also a patriot?

He's not a right wing hate monger?

    Okay.

Speaking up against what is right, wrong, indifferent or lying is a right we all cherish, enjoy and were born with. We don't have to earn it a la Teresa Heinz's assertion in her speech at the Dem Convention.

So when you don't get applause and unmitigated agreement you get all teary eyed, bleating that you have been denied your right to free speech.

Are you sure that you have grown up now?

    Coward Watch,
I think you need some anger management. Your a very angry man. Why don't you smoke some refer to calm down!

"The David Duke's of America will always be overuled."

Only if we condemn their "dissent".

You've cornered yourself with your argument.

According to you, all dissent and criticism of government must be respected. For it's always patriotic.

But if Duke's views are patriotic and must not be criticized (for that would stifle patriotic dissent), how are we to "overrule" him?

The only way to prevent the Duke's from attaining power is to point out the errors in their dissent. To show how wrong their criticism is.

We must dissent from their dissent.

But according to you, dissent is the highest form of patriotism and must not be challenged.

How can we defeat Duke except by showing his dissent to be wrong?

    Anon @ 10:04 pm,
There are far less people in Guantanamo now than at the "peak" so they haven't been re-arrested by us. Seriously, why would Bush and the Pentagon let terrorists go free? That was the claim made by you.

coward watch, I hear the puffington post calling you........How do you type while you are laying down on your little piece of carpet?

I don't remember the particulars, but I seem to remember one terrorist detainee being released at the urging and insistence of the Brits who was later involved in terrorism, maybe in Pakistan.

    Anyone here remember this?

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

Colbert, that would be known as a "huge mistake." Colbert, that was my answer. I can't answer for Pres. Bush.

Grammie, that's what I tried to tell colbert, he seems to think all of the terrorist detainees are little angels.

    Grammie,

A lot more than one ex-Gitmo detainee has been arrested again.

"but I seem to remember one terrorist detainee being released at the urging and insistence of the Brits who was later involved in terrorism, maybe in Pakistan."

Yes; I think a second detainee released was re-captured in Afghanistan and turned over to their government.

Not exactly a bunch of boy scouts being held there.

There appears to be a romatic desire by some to view these detainees as simply innocent goat herders minding their own business in Afghanistan when picked up the evil nefarious neocons.

And all the lawyers are Atticus Finches.

    Dreams die hard.

I didn't say they're all little angels. I said either Bush is letting terrorists go free or maybe the detainees he's released aren't all terrorists. Either way, his judgment and anyone else's judgment involves must be questioned. To simply take their word that they're 100% correct after they've been proven wrong multiple times seems idiotic. If we caught them fighting with weapons as was said, it seems pretty easy to convict them of crimes.

Colbert thinks we are over in Hell driving around picking up innocent women and children and throwing them in Gitmo for no reason.

"Grammie, that's what I tried to tell colbert, he seems to think all of the terrorist detainees are little angels."

Not all, but not everyone that we've "detained" or "rendered" to other governments is an evil terrorist either. Or do we have to go through the Arar case AGAIN (I remind you that the United States government has STILL NOT APOLOGIZED for sending Arar, a Canadian citizen, to Syria for rendition)?

Colbert, you should use a different name, the real Colbert doesn't share your beliefs or defend terrorists.

    Colbert,
    Kill the Guatamo Detainees!

    Colbert,

W was just afraid that the lefties in the ACLU would set up things so the Gitmo detainees all got the OJ jury. So he let some of them go instead.

Several ex-Gitmo detainees have been arrested in places like Russia and Morocco. They all agree that Gitmo was a f---ing paradise compared to where they are now.

Anyone remember the Olbyloon who thought that the U.S. was subjecting Padilla to extreme punishment by housing him in a Supermax federal facility just like many other inmates in the federal prison system? No, they were utterly convinced that it was only Padilla that was being treated that way and it was all an evil plot on behalf of the Bush government. They were totally ignorant of standard prisoner treatment within the federal prison system and honestly believed the drivel they'd read on their liberal websites. I refuse to feel sorry for a terrorist, they can sympathize with them all they want to but I will not be a party to that kind of behavior.

What would a canadian citizen be doing in Iraq during a time of war? He was up to no good, that's why!

Well, Chicken Blogger, to be perfectly honest with you, I don't give one flying f**k if half of them are innocent shepherds if the other half can and would do harm to my country and my family if given half a chance.

Based on instinct and the overall situation I would be very surprised if even 1/2 of 1% are totally innocent.

A battlefield is and has always been chaotic. Mistakes will always be made. Our country, more than virtually any other country, will as a matter of POLICY always use the most honest and compassionate rules of engagement.

We do this at great risk to our own brave men and women in the field. I believe we shoul loosen up those rules. That's bad enough. But extending that to the point of putting civilans at any risk is insanity.

    Jeff,
You made such a fool of yourself you're now posting anonymously. That should tell you something. You think Colbert is really a conservative and The Onion reports real news. You've already proven you have the intelligence of a 5-year old. You don't have to keep bragging about it.

The Canadians and we have admitted Arar is innocent. He was arrested in NY, not Iraq. Do you have any clue what you're talking about?

    what did mike say?

    Rico,
How about documenting your last post? Provide their names and exact quotes. You know. Some proof that what you're claiming is true.

    Colbert,

You can look up the arrests yourself(on the InternetS!)

As far as preferring Gitmo to where they are now I made that up, of course, but I bet my joke was at least 99% accurate.

I am not famailiar w/ the arar, I assumed he was arrested in Iraq, since, that is what we were talking about, remember? If it makes you feel better to say I have the intelligence of a 5 yr old, that is fine w/me, there are a lot of people here that will disagree w/you. I don't use a name here because there was a dumbass olbyloon on here last night making false posts under my name. Anything else einstein? I was mistaken about arar and I am man enough to admit it. How about you? I dout it.

Some weeks back we had a discussion about my distaste for his proudly proclaiming that emotion should be the guiding force in political decisions, especially re whether we should have invaded Iraq and why we should bug out NOW.

As he told Rico the other night, I tried to back him into a corner by always injecting my personal life (or something like that) into the argument, especially wanting him to admit whatever. I did at one point state that he was implying that anyone who disagreed with him was lacking human qualities. At that point he did say that I was inhuman, just to shut me up and whatever.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

Janet, I think colbert and mike think the same way.

    Jeff,
Who were you talking about? You just claim people you don't know were picked up in Iraq? Funny. That's the Faux News policy too.

    Rico,
I see how this works. You say anything you want to make your case and when asked for proof, tell the other person to look it up himself. That also sounds like the Faux News policy.

colbert, the puffington post is calling you, byby

    Jeff,
If I were you, I'd want to end the discussion too. You were beaten badly as you always are. Any good news in The Onion?

    Colbert,

How do you think I found out about the re-arrested ex-Gitmo detainees? Grammie mentioned the Brits arresting one so I did a Google search. Took me all of a few seconds to see that several were arrested in places like Russia and Morocco. Can't you do your own research, too?

And enough with this "Faux News" crap. Have your forgotten Rathergate so quickly?

colbert, Fox News holds 14 of the top 15 spots for a reason, Rush is the #1 radio show for a reason, Hannity is #2 for a reason (radio). Hows air america doin? Bankrupt..........

colbert, you have self esteem issues, you beat nobody at nothing.

"No, they were utterly convinced that it was only Padilla that was being treated that way and it was all an evil plot on behalf of the Bush government."

Well, considering that the GOVERNMENT'S OWN EXPERTS now say Padilla's treatment has rendered him INCOMPETENT to stand trial, I think that there is some validity to that assertion...

    Rico,
Maybe you should do your research again. Try being unbiased this time.

padilla was incompetent from day one, just my opinion.

Arar was never in Gitmo. He has dual citizenship with Syria and Canada. Based on info from the RCMP he was detained in a stopover in New York and renditioned to Syria.

There is a complete chronolgy here:

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/arar/

This case is out of the scope of what we all were discussing, Gitmo, or Club Med that tropical retreat from the stresses of Jihad.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

Janet, I admitted I was mistaken about where arar was picked up,but, colbert has to keep bringing it up (ding)!

    Jeff,
Faux News holds the top spots among cable news and Rush/Hannity among political talk radio because conservatives are brainless sheep. Liberals can read newspapers and decided what we think. Conservatives have to be told what to think. Hence, you all have to watch Faux News and listen to Rush/Hannity. You people are proud of being dittoheads. What does that tell you?

Was that you at 11:54 pm? If you think Padilla was incompetent from day one, how can he be some master terror plotter? The two things seem not to go together.

Its a mind set that controls their judgment. As someone posted recently it can all be summed in one sentence.

Bush Bad, Bush Sucks, Liberals Good, Bush Real Bad.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

colbert, it doesn't take too much intelligence to call the majority of the US brainless sheep, then again, this is coming from someone that thinks Ulbermahn is a news anchor! This is right after you were asking Rico to spoon feed you some research! When did I say padilla was a "master terror plotter?" That was obviously his ultimate goal, but, fortunately for me AND you, he was stopped!

    Colbert,

You just wrote the following: "Liberals can read newspapers and decided what what we think". That made a lot of sense.

Maybe you had better start running a grammer check on your comments before you post them. How about spell check, too? Of course, if you did dingbat check there wouldn't be much left to post.

Rico, colbert is a glutten for punishment!

Well, Colbert, you have convinced me. Now that I know liberals can read, what chance do I have? :)

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

I prefer the term "suicidal leftist dingbat".

Rico, go easy on colbert, he already has self esteem issues. colbert, I am curious, since us sheep watch fox, rush and hannity,(I prefer savage) where does einstein get his news?

    Jeff,
You think the majority of Americans listen to Rush/Hannity or watch Fox News? Rush gets 13.5 million listeners in a week. I assume the vast majority listen each day so divide that number by 5 to get his actual listeners. Bill Orally's viewers largely account for the other show's viewers on Fox I'd assume. He has 3 million viewers a night tops? There are 300 million people in this country. I wouldn't say their listeners/viewers constitute a majority.

Rico made claims that didn't square with the facts so I asked for proof. He had none. His Google search proved his rhetoric pretty empty.

    Colbert,
Why do you sympathize with Muslims?

If you're going to claim someone can't spell, you should learn to spell "grammar." G-R-A-M-M-A-R, not G-R-A-M-M-E-R. I made a typo but you can't spell.

I read the NY Times and Wall Street Journal. Sometimes, I listen to NPR. I watch Keith because he reports on the right-wingers.

Can you explain the radical's left pro-Islamic tilt?

    Joker,
I've said all religions suck. How is that sympathizing with Muslims?

colbert, look up the word "majority" then re-read my post. O'Reilly is #1 on tv, Rush is #1 on the radio.

Colbert, your news choices say a lot about your mindset. Times, borderline communist(just laid off thousands of people), npr, another struggling program, wall street journal, another struggling paper, mostly just business news and I know you are not a stock broker.

colbert, sympathizing with muslims and defending the enemy go hand in hand. On that note, nite all!

    Jeff,
You don't know what majority means? You used the phrase "the majority of the US." A majority is one more than half the total. There are more than 300 million people in the U.S. A majority of the U.S. would be over 150 million people.

    Colbert,
    So your an Atheist?

    Jeff,
Your stupidity is utterly astounding. Where did you see the NY Times Company laid off thousands of workers? I saw they laid off 125 workers. NPR isn't a program; it's a radio station. Maybe you should look up what the "P" stands for and you'll realize how stupid you sound. The Wall Street Journal is a right-wing news source. At least the editorials. And right-wingers are too stupid to differentiate between news and editorials. I do research for publicly-traded companies but don't sell stocks. However, other people read the Wall Street Journal. It isn't only business news; since you can't read you wouldn't know that.

Colbert, I think you should take your own advice and start thinking for yourself.

There are other view points than the regurgitated left wing talking points on MSNBC, NPR and Al Franken.

Who sits around listening to the same sh-t on a tv talk show? The same simple people that's who.

Bill O'lielly is bonafide pathological liar. Rush Limbaugh is just paid media whore with a talent for twisting the truth and deliberate lying.

Anyone who sights quantity of listeners, while ignoring intellectual quality of said listeners, is obviously just one of those deluded listeners that turn to talk shows for validation of their beliefs.

Neither of these men, Limbaugh or O'reilly play well with others. They loud mouth braggart types who talk tough but fissile out to a whimper when in the company of educated equals who challenge them. All bone, no meat.

    From Wikipedia:
    Sexual harassment lawsuits
On October 13, 2004, O'Reilly Factor producer Andrea Mackris filed a complaint of sexual harassment against O'Reilly[19] alleging that O'Reilly had made numerous references to "phone sex, vibrators, threesomes, masturbation, the loss of his virginity, and sexual fantasies."[20][21][22][23] The complaint also sought additional damages and described alleged actions of retaliation by Fox, et.al.[23] O'Reilly and his attorney, Ronald Green, never denied that O'Reilly had used the alleged language, but said he never broke the law and questioned whether Mackris was truly offended or was taking words and phrases out of context.

Earlier that same day, O'Reilly had filed a preemptive lawsuit against Mackris, her lawyer Benedict P. Morelli, and Morelli's law firm for extortion, contending Mackris had privately demanded more than $60 million (USD) to settle a claim of sexual harassment. Morelli did not deny that they had demanded the settlement prior to filing the complaint, but did deny the allegations of extortion.

Both cases were settled out of court and all parties agreed to keep the terms of the settlement confidential.[23] O'Reilly told reporters that there was "no wrongdoing in the case whatsoever by anyone".[24]

Charles Darwin was born into a White Christian world ignorant of reality. Darwin began a process to define the realities of nature. He was not a dictator of reason as theologists have to be.

Did you know Jesus never mentioned the earth was in motion and the sun was stationary relative to our moving planet?

Does this make Jesus ignorant of how the universe works? Looks like Jesus was no smarter than Darwin. I don't recall Jesus saying African people are equal to his disciples in every way and that any white race of free people who one day enslave Africans for 500 years is the children of the devil.

Looks like the all knowing God of the hillbillies is no smarter than Darwin or Galileo.

Red Wolf/Jeff/Rico, as always a dumb uneducated hillbilly that is a racist.

    Coward Watch,
Everybody is Redwolf to you. Why is he on your mind all the time. Explain your obssesion?

"I don't recall Jesus saying African people are equal to his disciples in every way and that any white race of free people who one day enslave Africans for 500 years is the children of the devil."

Jesus was a Jew. He wasn't white.

    Coward Watch,
Why are you so anger. Smoke some weed!

Joker, I think it is the end product of all that stress as the world's No One hunter and judge of racists and cowards.

Think how heavily such a burden must lay on the poor man's mind and soul.:)

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

"If Evolution is real, why is it called theory?"

You are using the common, "plain usage" meaning of theory. The definition of "theory" as used by the scientific community is different.

Theory - A logical structure that enables one to deduce the possible results of every experiment that falls within its purview.

    Janet,
Coward watch is obssesed with Red Wolf. He asumes everyone here is Klan affiliate or White.
I think he's one of these Black Panther types!

"Theory - A logical structure that enables one to deduce the "possible" results of every experiment that falls within its purview.

Possible- doesn't mean it's a fact. It just refers to alikely hood.

It's possible Humanity came from another planet 100,000 years ago.

The Coward Jeff hiding Red Wolf and now using Joker, fails to understand that theory requires speculation that is absent facts.

Evolution is based on fact. Example, you are still socially evolving. You are still more animal than human. Beast would be more like. Vermin to be specific.

As is the case with global warming. The uneducated, unvalidated hillbilly class of our society have no clue what the definitions of science or theory are.

Always putting themselves above science and reason as a substitution for actual validation of their beliefs.

When facts validate theory it becomes reality. Now reality has no value for a people who call themselves "Christ like" or Christian, while fighting to the death for the right to own and trade slaves. Reality has no value to a people that would suggest Jesus would choose war and violent aggression over demonstration of righteousness.

Hate is based on fear generated through ignorance. The more ignorant you are, the more fearful you are of the world around you. Fearful coward.

    Pussy to be more specific!

    Coward,
why do you accuse of everyone of being Redwolf?
    Explain your obssesion with him?

    "Evolution is based on fact."
    Whay hasn't it been proven?

It's possible Humanity came from another planet 100,000 years ago.

Posted by: The Joker at February 25, 2007 1:48 AM

That is true Joker. It is possible that a comet of asteroid slammed into a planet with life on it and then bounced off carrying with it life in simple cellular form or even simple RNA segments that carried replication abilities.

Many cosmologists acknowledge this as a viable way life may have began here. But when you consider the statistical likelihood of extra-planetary origins with the ideal life producing environment of the earth it seems more likely that it began here.

    But it is possible.

    Jeff,

It has been proven Joker. If you want to debate the definitions of "theory" and "science" then we can debate the basis for accepting evolution as fact.

Would you like to then tell Janet and the rest of our Christian audience that God and all religion is theory? Or would you like to say it is faith and faith is not theory?

    Just wondering?

    Evolution isn't a fact. It's a theory.

OK so Humans are space refugees from another planet. That's a fact. Where's the missing link between Man and ape.

"Would you like to then tell Janet and the rest of our Christian audience that God and all religion is theory? "
    It is a theory.

"...The final point in the case for evolution is this: simple animals and plants existed on earth long before more complex ones (invertebrate animals, for example, were around for a very long time before there were any vertebrates). Here again, the evidence from fossils is overwhelming. In the deepest rock layers, there are no signs of life. The first fossil remains are of very simple living things. As the strata get more recent, the variety and complexity of life increase (although not at a uniform rate). And no human fossils have ever been found except in the most superficial layers of the earth (e.g., battlefields, graveyards, flood deposits, and so on). In all the countless geological excavations and inspections (for example, of the Grand Canyon), no one has ever come up with a genuine fossil remnant which goes against this general principle (and it would only take one genuine find to overturn this principle)..."

How is it that people with religious beliefs are always the ones who prop themselves up as experts on fact vs theory?

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

    Imposter Jeff,
I'm talking about Ancient India, not Native americans. Although there are starnge South American artifacts that do resemble flying crafts. Also there are various legends that describe an Ancient advanced civilization and some catatrophe that sent Humans backwards!

So then Janet is there some aspect of the culture of the Klan that you find incorrect or offensive?

Was segregation 100 years of evil or was it just the way things were and good and evil have no measure in the matter?

Coward says that evangelism is product of the people who fought and lost the Civil War and then refused to repent. 100 years of segregation later and only the death of the Kennedy's Martin Luther King started the process to end what truly was 100 years of pure evil if you could see it from a black person's point of view.

It would be interesting to see just one person from that culture defend, condemn or excuse this history.

No one has yet been able to defy Cowards contentions. It seem to me that everyone is silent on this issue on the right. Why is that?

I know Jesus was never one to promote hate as it was done for hundreds of years in the south towards black people.

Why the silence from the Christians?

    Coward Watch posing as Jeff,
Spanish people enslaved Blacks also. Do we get a pass? So did the French.
Did you know Black slavery was started by Muslims?

Imposter Jeff? That is what my dad used to say when my mother would call him and I would answer.

Indian mythology is not one of my strong points. I do know they have more religions in India that all the rest of the world combined.

They are a very diverse nation of myths.

    Imposter Jeff,

And so the slave states had no religion? Is that what you are saying? You trying to tell me that Evangelism is the product of anti-slavery Christians? Try telling that to the millions of people that turned Jimmy Swaggart, Jerry Farwell, Pat Robertson, Jim and Tammy Baker and whole host of parasitic pimps of salvation for a price and profit into multi millionaires.

A culture of people who turned their back on the god/nature installed instinct to love your fellow man for more than 400years, has never publicly or privately repented from the roots of their origins. On the contrary they flew the Confederate flag over every former slave state right up until a few years ago. It came down only through threats of tourist dollar boycotts.

Denial today is just more of the same for this culture of inhuman cowards who glorify war ever since the humiliation of the burning of the south and 600,000 dead after fighting to continue their culture of evil.

Never ever has the most vocal clear majority of the South - White Christians, ever demanded the Confederate flag be banished as a symbol of defiance against God. Instead they pretend it is a mere symbol of their heritage, as though the millions of black people in the south have no consideration in the matter at all. Who gives a sh-t what it (the flag) might mean to black people.

The Culture of the Klan is something you can brush off amongst yourselves. But decent folk just don't see it that way.

Latin Americans have the use of "Latins" tied up as a distinction in this nation. When Americans refer to "Latins" it is not the same as when Europeans do.

    Isn't Argentina in Latin America?

    Yes or no?

"If Italians are Latins, are American Indians to be considered as being Indians when we are talking about India?"

That's really stupid logic and your ignorance shows. Rome is located in a part of Italy called Latium. Where the term Latin came from. Italian is a Latin Language. Also why is Castillian(Spanish) similiar to Italian? Why do Italian and Spanish people look the same?
why is water in Spanish the same as in Italian, Aqua! I can give you many instances of this.
I've been to Italy, I got around speaking Spanish and actually understood Italian since the languages are similiar.
You obviously are the ignorant one here. Oh well what do you expect from someone who's ancestors were bred to till the land for their English masters for 800 years!

This is Red Wolf's attempt to make it look like Coward Watch was here at 4:21, Then he posts using his name just like the good old days.

What he wrote at 4:25 and 4:26 is the usual way he posted in the past.

He lives on this page 12 hours a day. One pathetic loser!

    Janet:

As I see that I have entered another discussion I wasn't even a part of, let me clear up once AGAIN what I actually said the other week.

I SAID, sfter you INSISTED that I make a judgement on your humanity, that "yes I do question your humanity" if you really don't believe that emotion should not be a part of any decision to send young people off to their deaths in an elective war.

Now, Janet. pay attention this time! I did NOT ever say you were 'inhuman'. You carried my remark one step further in order to reach that conclusion. So quit quoting me as having said something I absolutely did NOT say....and please, Janet, try to take yourself personally out of discussions involving international policy.

If I were to ACTUALLY call you 'inhuman', then I would have made a foregone conclusion that you REALLY don't give a damned about the lives of the individual soldiers, but I never made that conclusion. I thought, and STILL think that you are better than that, and therefore I was attempting to stoke your humanity. Got it now?

Furthermore, I did not do it to as a way to get you to "just to shut you up or whatever", although I WOULD prefer we not use the Iraq war as a medium to discuss you personally.
Finally, I NEVER said that emotion should be 'THE' guiding factor in a decision to go to war, but I DID say it should be A major one...big difference.

Please Janet, in the future, if you are going to accuse me of putting you down in some manner, please use the correct quotes, and use them in the proper context.

    Thank you.........................Mike!

Mike, if I ever say I question your, fill in the blank, you can be absolutely CERTAIN that I fully believe the worst of you.

I didn't go back, as I almost always do, to copy all the salient points. I posted based on my best recollection of the sense of the many conversations I have had with you for months.

You may not realise that you have come across to me as someone who has an abiding sense of the high moral ground of his political decisions.

And, yes as I remember it I pointed out to you that you seemed to question my or other's humanity.

And my sense of your answer was that I lacked your humanity.

So, we both view the same set of facts as having different meanings and connotations.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

Those who responded to my Soviet Union post of course missed the whole point, but alas, missing the point is your hallmark. Nowhere did I suggest that Bush et al were even remotely as extreme as that murderous group. My comparison went to the mindset of this executive branch's useful idiots. You possess the same slavish adherence to the party line that the minions who supported Stalin's extremes had. I've read countless times that dissenters are traitors, that national security trumps the Bill of Rights. You play the same role in the dissemination of propaganda as the low to mid level party members in the SU did.

That's why I suggested you think about it.

Funny how Tony Blair was called Bush's lapdog. And now Great Britain is hauling their asses out of Iraq.
Everybody knows this is a failed war, except our dunce president, and a handful of not too bright individuals.
The other lapdog, Cee, keeps asking me questions that he knows the answers to.
    How funny is that !
Did you notice that he couldn't make a peep about Rob Andrews trip to Iraq and further documenting the continuing deteriorating of that country under the tutelage of the most incompetent president this country has ever seen?
The unsafe streets and civil war makes our continuing presence a no brainer.

But I'll indulge the poor pathetic Cee,feeling pity for him,and answer a few of his questions, seeing his president and party is in such shambles.

"Why are your impotent leaders not holding impeachment hearings to remove Napoleon and his dark assistant from office"?

This question has been asked and answered dozens of time, but our intellectually
challenged Bush lapdog nevertheless continues to ask.
Nancy Pelosi has stated emphatically that this Congress is not going to stoop to the vinctiveness that the GOP COngress did in the 90's.
They are moving ahead, sponsoring bills that are going to help the country that the GOP hadn't even considered during their ineffective reign.

The idiot Cee continues to support people like Dick Cheney who is becoming more senile each and every day.
This lunatic actually said that it's a "good thing" that Great Britain has opted out of Iraq.
If having LESS troops in Iraq is such a good thing, Dick, then why are you and Chimpy putting more in?
Such simple logic is always lost on the these two scumbags at the top of the ineffective party.

The idiot Cee also continues to ask about why are all the Democratic candidates campaigning so early.
In his typical blindfold fashion he forgets the republicans are doing the exact same thing.
The answer, which he probably knows is that ALL CANDIDATES know that this country wants the failed leadership of this president to come to an end as soon as possible .This has been stated many times over and over by pundits from both parties.

Our braindead lapdog also continues to talk about the "the radicalization and marginalization of The Democratic Party"with putting up antiwar candidates.
Again, he (chooses) to forget that the American people are overwhelmingly against this failed war in Iraq.
What he considers radical is ,in reality, mainstream.

It's astounding just how out of touch Cee is with the American people and reality.
As each country sees the folly of the failed Bush policies in iraq and are taking their troops out, only the truly delusional remain comitted to a policy that hasn't worked from day one.
The only common sense ideas are coming from the democrats, Joe Biden and Jack Murtha.
Biden ( and knowledgeable persons who understand Iraq) know that a military solution in Iraq is IMPOSSIBLE.
The only way to hold Iraq together and create the conditions for our armed forces to responsibly withdraw is to give Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds incentives to pursue their interests peacefully and to forge a sustainable political settlement. Unfortunately, this administration does not have a coherent plan or any discernible strategy for success in Iraq. Its strategy is to prevent defeat and hand the problem off when it leaves office.

That's the policy of cowards: to pass it on to the next president.
Cee suppports the cowards way out, thus making himself just as cowardly as his president.

One thing everyone agrees with is that Bush has failed in Iraq and has no solution for getting us out of the country.
It's going to take the democrats to dig us out of this black hole that the republicans put us in.
REALISTICALLY, it probably won't happen until 08' when a democratic president will take control of this mess that has been America's darkest hour in many a generation.

If you're interested in a REAL plan for getting us out of Iraq, since our Chimp president has never articulated one, this is Joe Biden's:

First, the plan calls for maintaining a unified Iraq by decentralizing it and giving Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis their own regions. The central government would be left in charge of common interests, such as border security and the distribution of oil revenue.

Second, it would bind the Sunnis to the deal by guaranteeing them a proportionate share of oil revenue. Each group would have an incentive to maximize oil production, making oil the glue that binds the country together.

Third, the plan would create a massive jobs program while increasing reconstruction aid -- especially from the oil-rich Gulf states -- but tying it to the protection of minority rights.

Fourth, it would convene an international conference that would produce a regional nonaggression pact and create a Contact Group to enforce regional commitments.

Fifth, it would begin the phased redeployment of U.S. forces this year and withdraw most of them by the end of 2007, while maintaining a small follow-on force to keep the neighbors honest and to strike any concentration of terrorists.

This plan is consistent with Iraq's constitution, which already provides for the country's 18 provinces to join together in regions, with their own security forces and control over most day-to-day issues. This plan is the only idea on the table for dealing with the militias, which are likely to retreat to their respective regions instead of engaging in acts of violence. This plan is consistent with a strong central government that has clearly defined responsibilities. Indeed, it provides an agenda for that government, whose mere existence will not end sectarian violence. This plan is not partition -- in fact, it may be the only way to prevent violent partition and preserve a unified Iraq.

These posts were obviously not made by me, Jeff, as Joker was quick to figure out also. I no longer post under my name. Coward watch (muslim lover/dumbass) isn't smart enough to figure this out!

"Nancy Pelosi has stated emphatically that this Congress is not going to stoop to the vinctiveness that the GOP COngress did in the 90's.

The above comment made me laugh so hard, I almost fell out my chair! Pelosi has done nothing except try to better her own personal agenda, end of story.

If any of you RW'ers think you have the slightest shred of credibility, just remember, you support people like George Bush and the man that said the Iraq war is a "remarkable achievement" in one speech, and dismissed suggestions his influence in Washington is waning in another( while in Australia)
    That man is Dick Cheney.
His credibility is zero and as he continues to stray further from reality by declaring the Iraq war is a "remarkable achievement",he further distances the republican party with the American people.( and lessens the chance for a Republican to win in 08')

The above comment made me laugh so hard, I almost fell out my chair! Pelosi has done nothing except try to better her own personal agenda, end of story.

"End of Story." End of his thinking skills also. This poster is apparently ignorant of just what is happening in our country, and listens probably exclusively to the right wing hate mongers.

Here's a teaching moment for the above Fox News devotee :

Senate Democrats' First Ten Bills of the 110th Congress

    1. Ethics reform, to clean up Congress so the government can get back to serving the American people.
    2. Raising the minimum wage, to give millions of American families an opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
    3. Medicare Prescription Drug program reform, to save seniors, the disabled, and American taxpayers money.
    4. Acting on the 9/11 Commission Recommendations, to fully secure our ports and borders and ensure that our first responders have the resources they need to keep America safe.
    5. Funding stem cell research, to open the promise of life-saving cures and treatments.
    6. Energy reform, to address global warming and put America on a path to energy independence.
    7. Easing the financial burden of college tuition, to increase accessibility for hardworking students and their families.
    8. Strengthening and rebuilding America's military, to ensure the American people get the real security they deserve.
    9. Comprehensive immigration reform, to fix America's broken immigration system.
    10. Pay-as-you-go legislation, so that Congress has to cover its costs just like American families do.

Jeff, what a long, long, post. You know by now that my attention span is way too short for that!

Jeff: You just admitted that your real goal is to "silence the Olbergoon"!

Jeff, you KNOW you shouldn't have said that!

Us right wing Olbermann haters are supposed to be on here pretending to support a free press with differing viewpoints from both the right and the left. We are supposed to be pretending that the goal of this board is to improve KO as a newsman, not to shut him down.

We didn't want the folks on the other side to know that our true goal is to shut down all voices on the 'left', so that we can continue with the right wing brainwashing of the American public that has gone on almost unchecked for the last 6 years.

Now you've spoiled it all Jeff. THEY KNOW!

Bob, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it, the only problem with it, it's flat wrong. Dick Cheney has more credibility than you will ever know. It wasn't long ago the loony left was harping that Cheney was the one pulling all of the strings for President Bush. What happened to that theory?

Patriot, I take exception to this comment in several ways.

You claim that those who responded missed the whole point because nowhere did you suggest that GWB et al "were even remotely as extreme as that murderous group. My comparison went to the mindset of this executive branch's useful idiots. You possess the same slavish adherence to the party line that the minions who supported Stalin's extremes had."

Josef Stalin used the term 'useful idiot' in reference to far left Americans who ranged from the very liberal to actual traitors such as Alger Hiss. The slavish minions you are describing in the Soviet Union were loyal members of the Communist Partyand the 'useful idiots' American leftists.

"You possess the same slavish adherence to the party line that the minions who supported Stalin's extremes had. I've read countless times that dissenters are traitors, that national security trumps the Bill of Rights."

I've read countless times just here at OW that GWB is another Hitler or Stalin, a war criminal, a war profiteer, tyrant worse than the world's greatest tyrants, the world's biggest terrorist etc.

With that in mind I think we all understood your comments to be as we responded to and EXACTLY what you intended to be the interpretation.

Any time you want an honest debate about any of this why not just pose an honest observation or question. I realise that that is a straight forward approach, but it would work for me.

    * I just wonder why Bob, who posts here with many statements implying that he is an American citizen, would declare the Iraq War a GLORIOUS FAILURE.

Let's see, conservatives have criticized Bush and his policies on:

Immigration, trade, spending/fiscal policies, taxes, affirmative action/racial preferences, judicial nominees (Harriet Miers), Iraq, Iran, Israel, Pakistan, Mexico, minimum wage.....

That list is just off the top of my magnificient and very impressive head.

And yet we hear that Bush's followers have all slavishly followed and supported his public policies.

They're just like the members of the CPUSA under Stalin.

    Oy.

Grammie struggles to grasp at something, anything, to knitpick me.

The "fallacies and assumptions" just so happens to be absolutely correct, much to your dismay.

And I'm an amateur in the name calling debt compared to your deadly slurs.

    Plus...
The "glorious failure" was an oxymoron. The "glorious" part represents what your esteemed liars in the White House characterizes the Iraq War( glorious success), and the failure part is the actual reality.

Surely you must have better things to do on a Sunday afternoon than to demonstrate your partisanship by concentrating on my accurate depiction of the state of our affairs.

    Bob,

I see that you like to use the word "coward". I hope that doesn't mean that Coward Watch is your "evil twin Skippy".

"Can you cite one significant (however you measure it) conservative or right-of-center person who has slavishly and uncritically adhered to the Bush line?"

Well for starters, how about just about the entire pundit line of Faux News, all of the right wing radio jocks, Andrew Sullivan (who has recently begun to see the light)Glenn Reynolds, the author of this blog, Jonah Goldberg, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, the writers at Powerline and LGF.

Everyone of those repeatedly spouted the WMD, Yellowcake, Saddam-bin Laden connection,. They all thought Iraq would be a cakewalk. They all proclaimed that we would be greeted as liberators, they all thought that Iraq was the source of world terrorism, they all supported our torture president, they all applauded restrictions on civil rights, they all suggested that dissenters are traitors.

They are all neocommunists in their political attitudes - deference to authority. Forelock tugging fools who believe that big government (how else would you consider record deficits and an 8 trillion dollar debt?) is good for America.

And apparently, have little sympathy, at least in thios forum, for our troops who lost limbs in Iraq and live in inadequate care at Waler Reed.

    Rico,
Coward Watch accuses everyone here of being Redwolf! What's his obssesion with him?

"The "glorious" part represents what your esteemed liars in the White House characterizes the Iraq War( "

The failure, my anti-American lefty friend, is in the inability (or unwillingness) of the many of the Iraqi people to govern themselves.

We liberated their country and gave them an opportunity to live under self-government and not under a dictatorship.

The fact that too many of them are unwillinge to live in peace with their Iraqi brothers and sisters is not the fault of the evil Bushco regime.

It's the fault of the people inside Iraq.

But, if it makes you feel good to blame Bush or the neocons, go for it.

You have to be really near-sighted not to see the cowardice in this administration.

"Well for starters, how about just about the entire pundit line of Faux News, all of the right wing radio jocks, Andrew Sullivan (who has recently begun to see the light)Glenn Reynolds, the author of this blog, Jonah Goldberg, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, the writers at Powerline and LGF."

Andrew Sullivan? Has been an apologist of Bush's "until recently"?

For someone to claim that the above list of folks have supported every policy of Bush is a remarkable statement of ignorance.

Every single one of those folks (with the exception of unnamed Fox news people; who? O'Reilly) has repeatedly criticized this Administration's policies on a whole host of issues.

Malkin has excoriated the Bush Administration's immigration policies for example. Reynolds has condemned the White House's fiscal policies. So has Goldberg and the Powerline folks.

LGF's Charles Johnson has been scathing on what he sees is the inability of the White House to deal with radical Islamists, both here and abroad.

On issues-after-issue all of the above folks have distanced themselves from the White House on a number of policies.

To claim that these folks are like the Communist Party members who followed Stalin is ludicrous. There is zero - absolute zero - factual basis for such a claim.

Sorry my leftwing friend, you argument has no substance, no facts, and no logic behind it.

Other than those shortcomings, it was terrific.

"Malkin has excoriated the Bush Administration's immigration policies for example"

It's a clique now where that's one area where the hard right wingers have taken exception to blindly following Bush's policies.

Malkin has callouses on her knees from the way she's "services" the Bushies.
Who are you trying to kid !

"It's a clique now where that's one area where the hard right wingers have taken exception to blindly following Bush's policies."

Well, which is it: Are they slavish followers of Bush are they taking exception to his policies?

    What about his fiscal policies?

    What about his trade policies?

What about his prescription drug policy?

How many policies do I have to list before this nonsense of how everyone on the right has been a blind adherent of Bush's is stopped?

Immigration, border control, spending, federalism, judicial nominees (Miers)...et cetera et cetera

Well I'm pleased that you accept that the Fox News talking heads are uncritical. However, on the most important issue of this preidency - Iraq - every one of those I mentioned, including Sullivan were unwavering supporters of the president. And they were all wrong. And from Iraq has sprung these huge deficits and record debt. Goldberg, Reynolds et al can't have it both ways - the major fiscal problem is the enormous cost of an ill-advised, poorly conceived and incompetently executed war which everyone of them uncritically supported.

Bob, I am guessing you voted for Ketchup Kerry, who got rice blown up his ass while running from a gun fight! Staged scenes in nam for future photo ops! Laughable.....

"Well I'm pleased that you accept that the Fox News talking heads are uncritical."

I never accepted that. No one was named.

O'Reilly blasts Bush immigration and trade policies. Plus he criticizes how they've handled Iraq.

What is it with you lefties and Fox News? Good grief. One network that has a conservative tilt to it - and it is indeed a conservative network - and you guys get your panties in a wad.

My major point remains unaddressed: The claim that the right has uncritically supported Bush like the communists did under Stalin has no basis in fact whatsoever.

Folks on the right (and I'd hardly call Reynolds someone on the right) have distanced themselves from numerous White House policies.

Spending, trade, immigration, border control, judical nominees, affirmative action, on and on and on...

Thanks for adding to the endless failures of this administration.

They have totally lost the left and the right in this country, except for of course, Grammie.

She'll never admit she's been wrong about "her boys" !

They're doing exactly what she wants them to do, which is scary, indeed !

    I'm sure you were there , a--hole.
You had a bonified war hero running against a bonified war zero like George Bush.

PS. The Navy stands behind all of John Kerry's medals.
    You got nothing but nonsense.

mutt, if you read the last line of my "long, long" post, you would see that I was saying the posts listed were not made by me, some whacko loon boon using my name. I agree to none of the statements.

bk, it's called "Patriotism," something you would no nothing about.

"You had a bonified war hero running against a bonified war zero like George Bush."

    Is Obama a war hero?

    Or Hillary?

    Edwards?

The only war hero is McCain.

And since only veterans can send troops into combat and we'll never know whether a president will have to send troops abroad, the only qualified candidate is John McCain.

Obama needs to drop out. Along with Hillary. And Edwards. And Richardson. And Romney, Giuliani, et cetera.

The only qualified candidate is McCain.

All the others are potential chickenhawks.

But not on Iraq - the overarching issue of the past 7 years - the root of America's financial woes, where the cynical and calculated manipulation of the truth needed critical thought.

"We liberated them" We created Saddam Hussein, we armed him, we supplied the ingredients to make chemical weapons. We had an obligation to get rid of him. But not doing it in the manner Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Perle and Cheney did.----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The arrogance of these chicken hawks to get rid of any general who told them they were going about it the wrong way is why we are in the mess we are in.

The politics of the Sunni's and Shiites would have been solved decades ago if imperial powers like Great Britain and then the US had not dictated to the region how they should govern themselves. Who believes the US and Euro/England have not been supporting dictators in the region for the last 50 plus years? Oh that would be Brandon!

Today the mess we are in is being blamed by Brandon on the weakest groups and then he excuses the super power with trillions of dollars and high tech weapons and a military of more than 1.4 million armed forces.

The party of "personal responsibility" is made up of hypocrites like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. Then brain dead pin heads like Brandy here blames the victim after the vacuum in his head is filled by the propaganda of Chicken Hawks like Limbaugh and Hannity .

More than 35 years the Iraqi people suffered at the hands of a dictator the western powers backed up and now this low life idiot - Brandon - blames the people of Iraq when they fail to resolve the war between Iran and the US that is being held in their nation.

Now you know why the Muslim world has so much hatred for us all. f--- heads like Brandon here who attacks women all the time for being female now attacks Iraqis for being victims instead of conquerors.

Brandon is a poster child for a--holes just like Jeff/Rico/Red Wolf.

The United States is in a war with Iran and fighting it in Iraq on behalf of the Sunni states of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar and the outcome of the war is based on if Iran wins or looses. Brandon thinks the Iraqi people should let anyone but themselves decide the power structure in Iraq.

Brandon thinks it is perfectly all right for the United States to invade a sovereign nation that never attacked this nation and never threatened to. To then disband it's military. Leave all the weapons caches of that military unmanned and do this with a skeleton crew of GI's that went into this free-for-all with substandard gear.

He thinks when the whole thing blows up after the minority population brutally dictated to the majority for more than 35 years and now is out of power and the streets are flooded with bombs and weapons dispersed from unmanned weapons depots that it is not Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle or Cheney's fault. All they did was ignore their generals and every other expert on the politics of the region.

No it's the people of Iraq's fault after 35 years of the western backed dictator Saddam is suddenly removed, his military disbanded, the streets flooded with weapons and explosives and Iran and the US go chin to chin for power in the region dead smack in the middle Iraq.

Yep it's all the Iraqi's peoples fault.

    You're a f---ing genius Brandy!

"But not on Iraq - the overarching issue of the past 7 years - the root of America's financial woes, where the cynical and calculated manipulation of the truth needed critical thought."

Past 7 years? We went into Iraq in 2003.

The root of America's financial woes are in Iraq?

We've spent about $350 billion there over the past 5 years (the other $100 billion went to Afghanistan and other operations).

Over the past 5 years, the federal government has spent over $12 trillion.

How is $350 billion dollars spent out of $12 trillion causing our financial problems?

Do you know how big our economy is?

It's over $13 trillion dollars. Believe it or not, $350 billion dollars over 5 years is a drop in the bucket.

We've got financial problems, for sure. But they are in the entitlement programs - social security and medicaid - which need to be addressed.

The war is Iraq has absolutely nothing to do with any financial problems we have.

Anyway, we have the greatest economy in the world. GDP, unemployment, inflation, interest rates. There isn't a country in the world that has a better economic future than we do.

Yes, we have problems. But they're nothing compare to those of our competitors.

"We created Saddam Hussein, we armed him, we supplied the ingredients to make chemical weapons."

    Lies, lies, lies, lies, lies.

Saddam Hussein and Iraq were client states of the Soviet Union.

    When?

Geraldo, if Krazy Keith went to Iraq (which he never will) he would be welcomed with a closed fist by the first American Troop he faced and he knows it.

Yes, we have problems. But they're nothing compare to those of our competitors.

This Limbaugh ditto head for got to mention the 9 trillion dollar national debt we have. ( http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ )

Another genius quoting Rush Limbaugh word for word. That $13 trillion, is that money borrowed from China? You are so full of sh-t I don't know where to begin. First of all remember the US dollar is not backed by gold. The value of the dollar is backed by petroleum. Would you care to tell us who owns the petroleum of this planet? What percent of this planets oil is under US ground? How do you call our economy sound when our currency is backed by the natural resources of other nations?

Your saying that $350 billion dollars is chump change and then you say entitlements are our problem. Sounds to me like Limbaugh.

Tell us what the total percent of GNP is spent on the military and then tell us how much of that is needed because we have to enforce control of petroleum at the barrel of a gun because our dollar is backed by other peoples oil - not ours!

Total a--hole thinks poor people on welfare is our problem. Just like Brandon you come here and quote Rush Limbaugh word for word. Complete propaganda bullsh-t!

    U.S. NATIONAL DEBT CLOCK
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 25 Feb 2007 at 09:37:24 PM GMT is: $8,773,971,448,087.00

The estimated population of the United States is 301,048,234
so each citizen's share of this debt is $29,144.71.

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$1.79 billion per day since September 29, 2006

    From http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB82/

    4th paragraph

"Initially, Iraq advanced far into Iranian territory, but was driven back within months. By mid-1982, Iraq was on the defensive against Iranian human-wave attacks. The U.S., having decided that an Iranian victory would not serve its interests, began supporting Iraq: measures already underway to upgrade U.S.-Iraq relations were accelerated, high-level officials exchanged visits, and in February 1982 the State Department removed Iraq from its list of states supporting international terrorism. (It had been included several years earlier because of ties with several Palestinian nationalist groups, not Islamicists sharing the worldview of al-Qaeda. Activism by Iraq's main Shiite Islamicist opposition group, al-Dawa, was a major factor precipitating the war -- stirred by Iran's Islamic revolution, its endeavors included the attempted assassination of Iraqi Foreign Minister Tariq Aziz.)"

More bullsh-t as is the usual case. Saddam's Sunni dominated government served as a buffer between Iran and Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Two more brutal dictatorships the US supports.

"This Limbaugh ditto head for got to mention the 9 trillion dollar national debt we have. "

Out of a $13 trillion economy.

The way to look at the number is in comparison to your overall financial situation. We had much higher debt, for example, during WWII.

Someone who has a $10,000 debt but has an income of $50,000 is in worse shape than someone who has $100,000 in debt but a $750,000 income.

If you look at the numbers in the OECD (that's Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development), you'll see that our competitors have highest debts as a percentage of GDP than we do. Plus, they have poorer economies (slow growth, higher unemployment, older populaces).

Our budget debt is a problem; but it's a bigger problem for our competitors. The significant problem is our unfunded obligations to social security and medicaid.

Item: In about 10-15 years, China will have anywhere betwen 30-40 million young males with no females to meet. That's because of the abortion policies of the people where females infants are aborted.

Stop reading leftwing blogs and read original source material. Look at our budge (cbo.com); look at other economic information.

Reading leftwing blogs will ruin your mind.
China will have quite a mess on their hands very soon.

Supporting Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war is not the same as creating him.

We also supported Stalin during WWII. That doesn't mean we "created him".

Our support for Iraq during the two or three years in the 1980s were nothing compared to the assitance he got from the USSR, France, Germany, the Eastern European countries et cetera.

Why do so many people on the left - not all - like to slander this country? And exaggerate and makeup stuff about it?

bk, it's called "Patriotism," something you would no nothing about.

"$350 billion dollars over 5 years is a drop in the bucket." Now if a liberal had said that he or she would have been pilloried. A drop in the bucket? That's 50 times the EPA's budget. Seven times the Education budget. Five times the VA' budget. The size of our deficit this year. 5% of our national debt which our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will have to pay.

    Lies, lies, lies, lies, lies.

Over 15 years ago a reporter for the Financial Times named Alan Friedman uncovered the truth about the US arming Saddam Hussein:

    * President Bush and Secretary of State James Baker had committed billions of taxpayer dollars to assist Saddam Hussein.
    * Bush and Baker allowed the export of U.S. technology that would directly help Baghdad build a massive arsenal of chemical, biological and possibly nuclear weapons. The arms were given to help Iraq fight Iran.
    * The CIA helped orchestrated illegal arms deals that involved Pinochet supporters in Chile, the apartheid regime in South Africa as well as most of the major NATO allies in Europe.

All of this was to prop up a man that President Bush and later his son would compare to Hitler.

FACTS ARE LIKE KRYPTONITE TO THE WINGNUTS !

The Olbyhaters probably snickered at the comment that Keith's ratings has increased 85% in the past year.

Now that is "Reality based news"!

Thank you OW you do a great service to this nation!

If Bush says it, the opposite is usually true !
To call this administration liars is like calling Jack the Ripper a public nuisance.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Despite the Bush administration's insistence it has no plans to go to war with Iran, a Pentagon panel has been created to plan a bombing attack that could be implemented within 24 hours of getting the go-ahead from President George W. Bush, The New Yorker magazine reported in its latest issue.

The special planning group was established within the office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in recent months, according to an unidentified former U.S. intelligence official cited in the article by investigative reporter Seymour Hersh in the March 4 issue.

The panel initially focused on destroying Iran's nuclear facilities and on regime change but has more recently been directed to identify targets in Iran that may be involved in supplying or aiding militants in Iraq, according to an Air Force adviser and a Pentagon consultant, who were not identified.

The consultant and a former senior intelligence official both said that U.S. military and special-operations teams had crossed the border from Iraq into Iran in pursuit of Iranian operatives, according to the article.

Comparing the post WWII world economy with today's is like saying you are against abortion and also against entitlement programs that provide health care to women and children.

It is pure bullsh-t rhetoric that makes no sense at all.

Pretending that a dollar backed by our gold is as stable as a dollar backed by their oil is for the most simple minded Rush Limbaugh, Fox Noise educated ditto heads the easiest way to pose as being informed and realistic.

fact is their entire foundation of beliefs comes from paid media whores pimped by multinational corporations who could give a flying f--- about human rights or democratic principles. This is why they hand picked the Bush family to run our democracy into the ground with debt and destruction.

    a--hole traitors!

"It's a damnable and contemptible lie to say the US created Saddam".

As proved above, of course they did.
The RWer's also used to insist that we were WINNING the Iraq War up to a few months ago.
( Bush said we were winning back in Nov.)

You fools are wrong about almost EVERYTHING.

There's not a single right-wing or Republican commentator who has parroted the White House position 100% of the time. Not one.

And regarding Olbermann's ratings, any improvement when you're at the bottom is an improvement. Olbermann to date has never beat O'Reilly even once in the ratings, not on a single night, nor has he to date been able to put together a week of coming in 2nd. The liberal media somehow convieniently overlooks those FACTS when running these glowing, fawning on-air blowjobs for Olby.

This is why they hand picked the Bush family to run our democracy into the ground with debt and destruction.

I don't think Bush will go into Iran with the same rules of engagement as he did in Iraq. When we go into Iran, it will be by air only, to take out the nuke facilities. The whole problem in Iraq was the Air Force was not used to it's full potential. That's what the MOAB was designed for. In response to the last comment, typical left wing fringe cuckoo!

Yep, that musta been my li'l buddy Jeff posting at 6:19. He knows them MOAB bombs is the answer for everything.

You go Jeff! We need ta bomb back to the stone age, just like we shoulda done in Iraq!

The Moab is not the answer for everything, it's more like the old saying "smokem' if ya' gottem"

Hey woogy, long time no hear!

I like Mutt better. 'Debating' Jeff is kind of like debating a comic character, and just about as productive.

mutt/woogy, is it always "negative, negative, gloom and doom?" I try to be civil and you have to respond with that? I guess I won't bother anymore.

Brandon and Jeff you are both Redwolf! A creature who was spawned from the Klan!
You Redwolf are the past and Klansmen who has evil in your heart. If you head Klansman Bush bombs the innocent peace loving Iranians the people will rise up in this nation against the Klan.
We will help our Iranian brothers and stop this aggression.

Hey, look the drug addict is back!

Aw Jeff, don't be like that! You're kinda like that "whack a mole" character - you know that game where ya smack one mole down and another one pops up? Then ya hafta smack that one down too as quick as ya can. No matter how many times ya smack him down, he pops right back up again for more.

    Everybody loves that game!

Coward Watch, you are wrong; Red Wolf is not Jeff or Brandon, although I wouldn't be surprised if Wolf and Joker are not one and the same.

All on this site are Klansmen in hiding. Raised in hatred by a Culture that enslaved fellow man! The vile filth written here against peace loving Muslims repulses all people of good will.
Instead of lynching blacks like your forefathers did, now you want to bomb a peaceful people who's Religion teaches tolerance.
The Klan lives in today's GOP!

And obviously, in reading the last two posts a little more closely, Coward Watch is not Coward Watch either.

"fact is their entire foundation of beliefs comes from paid media whores pimped by multinational corporations who could give a flying f--- about human rights or democratic principles. This is why they hand picked the Bush family to run our democracy into the ground with debt and destruction."

    They are all Redwolf!

Yes, "Coward Watch", everybody is "Red Wolf"!

7:19, how much do you get paid at the car wash?

mutt/woogy, I could respond w/childish remarks like yours, but, I am better than that.

coward, do they have computers in your mosk?

Sorry Jeff, but there's nothing on earth more 'childish' than believing big bombs are the answer to our problems and seriously listening to a nutcake like Michael Savage.

To echo a few words above - cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo....

"7:19, how much do you get paid at the car wash?"

How can you joke when the Bush fascists are ruining the country?

You should be out in the streets protesting this destruction of America...

Go on, off to the barricades..

woogy, I know being in the minority must get to you, but, you should be used to it by now.......

You mean the majority are nutjobs like you and Michael Savage? Wow, it's amazing how the Dems won. They musta rigged the last election, and all the polls!

"coward, do they have computers in your mosk?"

Redwolf, your ignorant KKK raised mind agains shines through. It is spelled Mosque.
I am Irish Catholic, however I admire the peaceful nature of the Islamic religion. Unlike your phoney KKK inspired Evangelical religion that preaches hate and destruction!
Muslims are my allies standing up to the evil Klan Kulture!

Obviously whoever is posting as "Coward Watch" at 7:09, 7:21, 7:18, 7:22, & 7:33, is a right wing shill.

"Obviously whoever is posting as "Coward Watch" at 7:09, 7:21, 7:18, 7:22, & 7:33, is a right wing shill."

Ha ha, Redwolf that's you. I have exposed you yet again!

"All of this was to prop up a man that President Bush and later his son would compare to Hitler."

Propping up a man - based on one newspaper article by some reporter no one ever heard of - to the moonbat left is "creating Hussein and putting him into power".

FDR gave billions in aid to Stalin.

I guess that means FDR created Stalin too.

Oh that's right, to the left, Stalin was a good guy.

    He doesn't count.

    Cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo....

They are ALL Red Wolf. You have exposed tham all!

    Yes,
They are all one person. Red Wolf the spawn of the Kalmn!

    Whats the 'Kalmn'?

You are Red Wolf nameless one!

All of you right wing idiots that tuned into 60 Minutes tonite to see your hero, Bill O'Reilly got a rude awakening to how many troops feel.
THE APPEAL TO REDRESS says that they don't even know what the mission is anymore in iraq and that too many of their brothers and sisters are dying needlessly.
But what do the troops know, right ?
As that stone cold moron Cee would say, "The troops don't support the troops !"

Does that mean I'm the "spawn of the Kalmn" too?

    The Spin stops here:

    Bill OReilly: "I'm an outsider!"

( who just happens to make $10 mil a year)

What a joke he is !

Bill O'Reilly's new theme song; "Round & around & around we go".

O'Reilly is a spawn of racist Souther Klan Kulture!

"60 Minutes tonite to see your hero, Bill O'Reilly got a rude awakening to how many troops feel."

I thought the rightwing corporate media was censoring stories like this?

Right, a dozen people tells how the troops feel.

Forget all those other stories about the troops supporting the mission, right?

    Cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo.......

Yep that 60 minute program sure is cuckoo!

"1,312 “Active Duty, Reserve, and Guard personnel have now signed the appeal" to leave Iraq.

Out of the more than 2 million men and women in the armed forces.

One thousand, three hundred and twelve out of two million plus.

    Yeah, that's a big story.

There are probably more than 1,312 people in the military who believe in the tooth fairy.

Let's do a story on THEM.

If we got troops over there speaking out against the mission, we better get over there and shut them traitors up!

When I was in the military, I tried putting my root canal teeth under my pillow, and nothing happened. Wow, was that a rude awakening! Shortly afterwards, I found out there was no Santa Claus either. That was one rough year!

There are actually 1,381,401 active duty US military personell, not "over two million"

"There are actually 1,381,401 active duty US military personell, not "over two million"

Active duty AND reserve AND guard personnel.

The opponents of the Iraq liberation include all three categories.

    Wikipedia:
"Approximately 1,371,533 personnel are currently on active duty in the military with an additional 858,500 personnel in the seven reserve components (53,000 of whom are in the Army and Air National Guard)."

Thats .1% (POINT ONE PERCENT) for all you people that have to work as an umpire on the side to make ends meet and can't afford a calculator.

mutt, what were you saying about that little game you like so much where the little head pops upi and it's gets hammered back down? How ironic you said that.....

"Thats .1% (POINT ONE PERCENT) for all you people"

A higher percentage than .1% probably believe in leprechauns

Maybe 60 Minutes will do a story on that belief next week.

Another shining example of how that rightwing corporate press is manipulating us again.

    Is Rove behind this one?

O'Leilly, Johnny Dollar, Janet, Rico, Brandon, Brick, Mike, Grammie, Karris56, Mutt, Bushkill Falla, Bob, puck, mlong, sharon, Woogy, Jeff, coda, Obama us Bicker, etc., etc.

That's what the story was about. That group.

I'm sure many soldiers want to leave Iraq.

Just as many didn't want to land on Omaha Beach.

Or climb up Mt. Suribachi. Or a hundred-and-one other hellholes.

But most of them believe, it seems to me (who knows for sure?) that a withdrawal would be disastrous for the country. For the people of Iraq, for those who oppose radicalism in the Middle East and, for us.

So, they heroically put what they think is in the best interest of the country above their own feelings.

Hell, firemen don't want to go into a burning building. Police officers don't want to have to shoot it out with drug gangs.

No one wants to have our troops in Iraq, for gosh sakes. It's not a question of wanting to do it; it's a question of having to do it.

Olbermann will pressure the administration tp leave Iraq. He's the leader of the new Civil Rights movement!

The last comment was well put, but, mutt/woozy's head is so full of left wing rhetoric that it wonn't sink in.

"no one wants to have our troops in Iraq, for gosh sakes"

    Wanna bet?

    "Iraq liberation"! LOL"

My error: I forgot that for the left removing a Stalinist-type regime is not liberation.

After all, for the left, good old Uncle Joe was their hero.

octavian, ulbermahn is calling you, he wants someone to stroke him again.

"The last comment was well put"

Yeah, it probably sounds real good to anyone with an IQ of less than 80.

"No one wants to have our troops in Iraq, for gosh sakes. It's not a question of wanting to do it; it's a question of having to do it."

That's the underlying flaw in the logic: WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO IT AT ALL! This Administration CHOSE to go and fight the war in Iraq - the terrorists were in Afghanistan and the Pakistani borderlands, not in Baghdad or Basra.

woozy, how's your face feel after having it slapped a few minutes ago about the troop numbers?

Gosh Jeffy, I didn't feel any pain at all since the so called slapped missed. My figures are correct and the reserve 'correction' was a nothing but a technicality.

I was in the 'reserve' for several years after I left the military. I didn't think of myself as being in the military and for all practical puposes, neither did the military.

"That's the underlying flaw in the logic: WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DO IT AT ALL!"

Sorry, that's the flaw in YOUR THINKING.

We are there NOW. Right NOW.

We're not debating whether 4 years ago it was right or wrong. We can do that later.

The question on the table right NOW is what do we do RIGHT NOW to prevent worse things from happening.

Many experts say that a withdrawal from Iraq before Iraqi security and police are able to handle things will lead to massive loss of life and bloodshed and greater danger to our allies and to us.

They may be wrong. I think they're right.

What do we do NOW!!! Not whether it was right before.

    NOW! NOW! NOW!

    Liberal Infidel named "",

I am Saddam! I am the greatest Islamic terrorist in human history. I have killed more Muslims and terrorized more Muslims than any person who ever lived. And lots of infidels, too.

PS: Will see you later, "". Damn, it is hot here!

My figures are correct and the reserve 'correction' was a nothing but a technicality.

Wrong. I never said active duty.

I said two million in the military.

The people shown on "60 Minutes" were from active duty, reserve and guard.

The total from those three groups is over 2 million.

The total who have signed the petition to leave is about 1,300.

    That's 1,300 out of over 2 million.

    Not a technicality.

    The facts,

Jeffy, remeber when I asked you whether YOU had ever served, and if not why not? I didn't get an answer if I remember correctly.

Anyone as rabid as you to see more troops get killed for no good reason at all should be the first in line at the recruiting stations, not "cheering on the troops" in your armchair.

woozy, that's right, you were in the service and had to ask me what a "moab" was, I forgot..

anon, woozy will NEVER admit he was wrong, he's an olbyloon, if it's night he will argue it's day.

Like I said 9:09, if you believe that 60 minutes went out specifically looking for, and found the entire 1300 that are against the mission, you also must believe in the tooth fairy.

As for your military figures, It's been nothing but a damned shamed from the beginning that we have had to use reserve and guard people in this thing. Many are facing severe financial hardships as a result.

"Like I said 9:09, if you believe that 60 minutes went out specifically looking for, and found the entire 1300 that are against the mission, you also must believe in the tooth fairy."

As I responded (8:53), I said I don't doubt that many more wish to leave.

But that's true about any war.

Again, for "60 Minutes" to hype a story about a very, very small group of people (1,300 out of 2 million) is poor reporting. It's a good story, sure. But it's hyping something that isn't there.

It's a damned shame when anyone has to go to war. No one likes it.

It's not a question of wanting to do this; right now, it's a question of having to do this.

Was the decision four years ago wrong? Yes, knowing what we know now.

But we're in 2007 and we have to deal with the world as it is, not the way we wanted it to be.

    .

I left the miliary in 1973.

Like I said Jeffy, you keep coming up with irrelevant arguments and act like you think they're somehow relevant.

Only wide eyed bomb freaks like you who are wowed by big bangs, would have known, or cared about what a "moab' is.

If you had ever served yourself, you wouldn't be so wide eyed gung ho about how the military is the answer for everything.

You STILL won't touch the question about why YOU want serve, and want OTHER people to die for you! Why not?

"was the decision four years ago wrong? Yes, knowing what we know now."

It seemed stupid it me THEN, as well. The data was never a "slam dunk", and thats the tragedy of this whole thing.

Why do you want the same people who were wrong yesterday making the decisions about what we do today?

"Many experts say that a withdrawal from Iraq before Iraqi security and police are able to handle things will lead to massive loss of life and bloodshed and greater danger to our allies and to us."

And just as many say staying there while the country continues to deteriorate just degrades what's left of our fighting force as they get caught in the crossfire of 1300 years worth of ethnic strife.

How many more chances are we willing to give an Iraqi government that can't get its sh-t together? How long do we sit there and let our troops get blown to hell and gone while we wait? 5 years? 10?

Many experts also say our continued occupation is exaberating the situation as well.

Nancy Pelosi has stated emphatically that this Congress is not going to stoop to the vinctiveness that the GOP COngress did in the 90's.
They are moving ahead, sponsoring bills that are going to help the country that the GOP hadn't even considered during their ineffective reign.

This response bears repeating. Even though Pelosi and others believe that George Bush lied to take our country to war which in your eyes caused:

    1) unnecessary death
    2) unnecessary maiming
    3) billions of dollars of useless debt
    4) loss of reputation worldwide
    5) civil war (previously contained by Hussein)

Other individual Muslem extremists did some pretty nasty things too; Jeffry Dahmer for example, and lets not forget that crazy Muslem who killed those little Amish girls in that one room schoolhouse recently. I could go on and on with terrible things all these crazy Muslems have done.

I am pretty sure that muslim atrocity's far outweight those 3 you came up with.

It's getting where you can hardly step out of your house anymore without worrying about those nastey Muslem extremists. They could be hiding around every corner.

It's very sad that someone could joke about something so serious, as you do. You wouldn't be saying that if one of your family or friends had their chopped off and they were kind enough to send you the video, now would you?

There's lots of Muslem extremists coming across the border every day. I hear there's at least 10 - 15 million illegal Muslems in America right now. They depress wages for American workers and send way too much of our money out of the country.

Oh, you seem to know so much about the muslims but you can't spell it. It's muslIm, not muslEm. Go to Micheal Savage's website and you can watch a be-heading on video, then tell me what you think!

Religion is a common denominator in many cross sections of many societies.

This sounds like that guy, "Jeff" is always attacking he calls him "Red Wolf".

The news said the guy was from Mexico and gainfully employed here. The police didn't make reference to his immigrant status. Criminal? Yes you bet. But how many times do you come here when US citizens commit such crimes? and place emphasis on the fact that it was an American that committed a crime like this?

Now if you want to address the deliberate importation of exploitable labor as well as skilled labor from Mexico into this country go ahead. Committing crimes is not monopolized by a race or religion.

Address the people giving them jobs if you are concerned about illegal immigration.

Both the Democratic and Republican parties have knowingly allowed for immigration, legal and not legal, to sky rocket now that all the baby boomers are retiring often with less children born to them that can take their place in our work force. This is why SSI is a bust. We lack the, one out, and, two in, our parents had when they retired.

So make your point, you tired of crime of all kinds? So are the rest of us. This nation, like many others has it's problems.

It take some clear minds to find solutions.

Coming here with racist sensationalistic crime reports may give validation to small minded people looking for who is under them on the social ladder. But if you want to be taken seriously, separate the two issues.

Can you name a "few thousand" Christians that have caused atrocity's?

How about a few million. Would you like to review the actual history and realities of slavery and segregation done to a race of people at a time and a place when and where any poor white person could come to this country and seek the American dream of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

Segregation ended only 53 years ago. Many Christian people fought to keep segregation alive. They're children are alive. Do you suppose much of the children of parents who championed the reasons for segregation condemn it now? I imagine there are millions of Christians in this nation who actively segregate themselves merely because they no longer can outlaw "race mixing".

The history is long. Do we really need to review parts of it to convince you that all major religions have an element to their society that is religious and immoral just as they have religious and moral people?

You seem to have a narrow view of others in relation to yourself. Are you by any chance a bigot?

That's why it's called history stupid-ass. I will post this again. You think you are so special in your beliefs. In reality you are a dumbass. I suppose we are to believe if Dr. Phlim-Flam as born to a slave owner or a Ku Klux Klan member in the early 1900's, Dr. Phlim-Flam would have bucked his family upbrings, his heirtage, his social environment and he would of stepped up and said I will be different. You sir, are and idiot.

It's a myth that slave owners treated their slaves poorly. I learned that from a black Maerican History lady professor at Florida State. She asked, "If you depeneded on a mule to plow the filed, would you beat and starve it". Most of the worst treatement and abuses were from black foremen and ship captains/crew. It's in the past idiot. It's idiots like you that try to judge past events by current beliefs and upbringings. It's idiots like you the reason racism will continue becuase it's idiots like you that just can't let it go.

Reading Profesoor Honeydew's (Bob) response just makes me feel even more sorry for him.

Professor, if you want to ignore the fact that The President's policy in Iraq continues unabated by your ruling elite, fine....It just shows that you are removed from reality and are just as pathetic as those same leaders....using the war as a tool for the 2008 election.

This entire sham of protest to "stop Bush" is also silly simply because your leaders have ALREADY ruled that out!...you even admit it yourself. Ha, what a fool you are, professor.

Please, the next time you meet with the 25K or less people protesting this war, ask them what their demads are and match them to the actions of the liberal ruling elite......what a waste of energy and time! Also, ask them why they desecrate honorable memorials and spit on soldiers.

Iraq, like South Korea, West Germany (now unified with East Germany), BOSNIA (from Clinton's term), and Afghanistan deserve(deserved) our support....And if the government requests the US presence then it should continue....even into the next administration. This is the HONORABLE and RESPONSIBLE thing to do....Biden's plan ignores the needs of the innocent Iraqi populace just like he and the liberals ignored the innocent South Vietnamese in the 70's. But again, surrender and defeat and ignoring millions of people once PROMISED protection is an historic Democratic Party policy.

Keep up the denial of reality, professor....Bush continues to render policy in Iraq and your Pelosi, Reid et al have remained IMPOTENT to stop him.....by choice! Cut the war funding, cut the troops, impeach POTUS/VPOTUS....stop these evil men, professor!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can do it! Close your eyes tight and PUSH!

I wish people would understand that this site is called OLBERMANN WATCH. Is it too much trouble to stay focused and on topic!

The Olbyloons don't want to stay focused on Keith Olbermann. They know he's biased. They know he's not a real journalist. They know his ratings "success" is just a myth. They know he sleeps with his very young female fans and apparently is sexiest, racist, and homphobic off-air. So what they try to do is to constantly change the subject by throwing up what they perceive to be the "crimes" of the Bush presidency or Fox News or Chrisians or any other group that they hate. So to answer your question, no, they can't stay focused and on topic because then they would be forced to admit that we are right about their hero and that they are wrong and they just don't want to admit that. It would mean that their "Edward R. Murrow" is a fake and a fraud, but we here at Owatch have known that all along. Why do you think they hate us so much? We speak the truth. They want stories skipped over that don't praise their "leaders" and they want the right vilified at every available opportunity, whether the story is true or not. They then want to build their "truth-tellers", (i.e., media shills like Olbermann) made into a media "hero" because he delivers up the slanted stories and lies just the way they like them. Then they whine and moan and groan that the media has a "right-wing slant" when artice after fawning article on Olbermann's ratings "success" proves without a doubt that the media is leftist-slanted.

Bush didn't even KNOW there were three factions in Iraq when he invaded the country.
(That's another pass you give your incompetent leader)
And now , today he still has no plan to get these three groups of people together.
Bush has no plan except: kill !
There cannot and will not be a military solution in Iraq. That much has been established !
For you to continue to push for a policy that has only failed,a policy even the troops aand generals know can't work, shows how pathetic you really are.

Lapdog's continuing condemnation of political protests in this country, the same our forefathers DEMANDED us to use,as a free republic, shows what an unpatriotic piece of vermin he truly is.
Did you not study what our founding fathers said?
If you did, you'd be embarrassed to look in the mirror and almost as embarrassed as I am reading your posts.

If you lived in the 1700's you 'd be 100% for the British. You'd be calling Thomas Jefferson and the rest of our founding fathers,"traitors" just like you call our vets, troops and concerned citizens "traitors" or worse for participating in antiwar protests.
( You KNOW I'm totally correct about this point)
    How could you not?
Just look at your disgusting comments!

His so called "concern" for Iraqi people( and Vietnamese) is just a cover for his lack of concern for our American troops that have to get killed for participating in other countries civil wars.
Your so called concern for the Iraqi people is as phony as the toupee on the top of your bald head.
The Bush policy has done nothing but destroy Iraq.Caused untold death and hardship for its citizens.
To that effect, you say: more !
More death, more destruction as long as the US presence remains in that country.
We're accomplishing NOTHING in Irag now and our soldiers are beginning to wonder what the hell are they even there for.

Now for once and for all, you keep asking the same questions that if you are aware at all with what is happening, you'd know the answers to them.
The Republicans have filibustered the Democrats effort to vote on this question: Do we want to surge troops into Iraq, do we want to get in deeper militarily, do we want to get in the middle of a civil war or not? And almost all the Democrats, plus a few Republicans, do not want to get in the middle of that civil war.

Now about the funding.Sen Levin answered that question on Meet the press yesterday.Since you don['t know the answer, I'll inform you, just like I've always done to the things you don't know.
He said,"There’s another way to achieve our goal. Number one, we can cap the number of troops. We can change the mission. These would both be binding resolutions without cutting funding for our troops. Most of us do not want to cut funding for our troops for two reasons. One is it’s wrong. Our troops deserve our support as long as they’re there, and we’re not going to repeat the mistake of Vietnam where we took out on the troops our differences over policies with the administration. Our differences are with the commander in chief and his policies, and we’re going to fund the troops as long as they’re there. Secondly, because that resolution would lose, the president would then use the defeat of a cut-the-funding resolution as a way of supporting his policy. So we would be playing right into the hands of the president and his policy makers by having a losing vote on funding. So it’s the wrong thing to do, and it also would strengthen the president’s hand when we don’t want to do that. We want to change the president’s course. He is on a course that is leading to defeat. The president’s course is getting us in deeper and deeper militarily. It is not working. We want to change that course. We don’t, don’t want to do anything which would strengthen that course."
You don't like that answer, tough sh-t.
That's the reality, not your bullsh-t you continue to post.
    But now you know.
Your president has dug the US into a hole that is not easy to get out of.
Your disingenous taunting about cutting the funds shows you want the Democrats to play right into Bush's hand.
    NOT GONNA HAPPEN !

Concerning the protest in Washington being down to 25K in your estimation, eh Cee?
The longer you post, the sum totals will be 35 people.
You really are a laughable unpatriotic simpleton who continues to support a policy that hasn't worked from day one.
Your views are the direct opposite taught in our nation's classrooms all across this country. Views our founding fathers would label "treasonous."
You are not worth my time nor energy to respond to.
    That will change.
This is why this is such a long post.
Your unpatriotic views make me sick to my stomach.
You continue to cheer the ever increasing casualty rates from the comfort of your living room.

AS you watch your views trail further and further from the American ideals this country was founded on,you'll have to recede further and further into your own dark reality knowing you were wrong with everything you post.
( But having no conscience, you probably won't even notice.)

You really are ignorant, aren't you? It's not an act?

Boring and one-dimensional, you mean like your 9,999 post that says the same thing over and over again, "Bush Sucks?". Yeah, THAT IS one-dimensional and boring indeed.

It's also the arrogance of the Olbyloons that makes them want to change the conversation. They're famous fo trying to set new board rules as if they owned the board.

Man sought in foiled Florida kidnapping

The guy they are looking for is an illegal alien, but nowhere in the AP piece do they mention that. They do say “Beltran, a native of Mexico, had worked at the farm three years ago, but later became a laborer for an aluminum contractor, Bristow said.”

Now way in the world would they leave that out?

    God bless or fair press

It's not just the 'Olbyloons' that want to change the conversation, 'Brandon', you silly fool! We're not here talking to ourselves.

Brandon doesn't understand that the failures of his president is exactly what KO talks about.
It's reality, much to Brandon's chagrine.

MShultzie- "the 9/11 terrorists waited until we had a weak president to attack us"... How f---ing funny is this delusional statement? And if Gore won they would have waited 4 more years? f---ing hysterical from a clueless apologist! Named after the idiot from Hogan Heros I am sure.

    Don't worry about Brick.

We just all ignore him, like a pesky half dead fly in the fall months that continues to circle our homes until he eventually withers away and dies.

    What a joke !

Al Qaeda knew Bush would be asleep at the switch, even with specifics warnings.

Cutting brush on vacation was much more important than defending the US.

Bush will live in infamy for that.

Speaking of Al Gore, I'm glad to see that he won an Academy Award for ."An Inconvenient Truth."

    I'm kidding.

George Bush could never write a book. He doesn't even read them.

George Bush could never write a book. He doesn't even read them.

    So true.
Imagine supporting a dunce like that !

    Admit it.
You don't have the balls to defend Bush, so you attack KO.
    Much easier isn't it?

The Olbyhaters cowards have just had a light shone on them by Bushkill.

Bush actually showed his true colors during 911, but we don't him Bush nearly as much grief as he deserves.

After he was told by his chief of staff that a second plane had hit the second tower, he just sat there in that classroom for another 5 - 7 minutes. I have never been able to reconcile in my mind how a true leader could have done that.

Chief of staff Andrew Card did not say "a second plane has hit the second tower". Andrew Card whispered in Mr. Bush's ear "the country is under attack". It is just incomprehensible that a competent president and commander in chief would just sit there like that in a grade school classroom for that long of a time when he knew full well that "the country was under attack".

Of course, now we all know how incompetent he really is (except for Cee and a dwindling band of merry apologists).

I wish people would understand that this site is called OLBERMANN WATCH. Is it too much trouble to stay on topic?"

No, it's not "too much trouble", but the 'topic' is boring and one dimensional. If everyone had to "stay on topic", the posts on this site would drop from about 500 a day to maybe 10 or 20.

And that would be a bad thing????

Fruitcakes don’t kid yourselves. If there had been a Democrat in office on 911 we’d be in the same place doing the same things as we are today.

As for the Democratic Party. … Look at the resumes of the most active (the doorbell ringers) and you will find nothing but a bunch of OLD WASHED UP HIPPIES. I left the party! As a young boy I hated them sons-bitch’s and I hate them even more today.

Hell no, the dems would have done jack sh-t and we would have been nuked by now. Billy boy Clinton proved that by doing nothing(except cheat on his wife) for 8 yrs while the enemy was planning 911, bombed the Cole and killed 300 some odd of our Marines!

Has anyone heard the audio of the muslim whacko in Utah yelling "allah, allah!" Thank God the police took that loser out.

"Blind fool, can you name one other news outlet that had the balls to report he is an illegal alien?"

I probably can't, because most of them have perspective enough to understand that an isolated Florida kidnapping is not really worthy of national news, no matter who the perpetrator is. Fox spends a ridiculous amount of time on what should be only local interest stories.

What if it was your kid? Huh?

If Al Gore would have been in the White House ( like he should have been)
He certainly wouldn't have attacked Iraq( a country that didn't attack us)
Plus he is smart enough to know about the Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds and their long standing differences.
    ( which Chimpy didn't know)

And the reason Bush didn't do anything for 7 minutes while our country was attacked, was b/c he didn't have Dick Cheney around to tell him what to do.
That deer caught in the headlights look he had for 7 full, long minutes will live in infamy.
HE will never live that down!

Yet you morons still voted for him.
    Amazing!
    Amazingly dumb !

Olbermann's ratings have sucked hard now for two weeks straight. So what's he pulling out of his ass tonight? That's right boys and girls, another Special Komment from Keith. Of course it's on a Monday (or Thursday)night, his best two ratings nights of the week--gotta goose those ratings for all they are worth.

Perhaps you should start a BUSH WATCH site.

There are numerous blogs to discuss the actual issues. But in our postmodern world what is interesting about THIS site is discussing the "discussion" of the issues. How the issues are "delivered" (spun or however you want to look at). Your "truth" and my "truth" are locked in. I sincerely doubt we are changing each other's opinions/views, and quite honestly, that discussion becomes "boring and one dimensional."

This is OLBERMANN WATCH. And it is fascinating to see this newscaster PERSONALITY do the his media "dance".

"hell no, the Dems whould have done jack sh-t and we would have been nuked by now".

The Dems would have kept their eye on the ball...Bin Laden, remember. Western Pakistan and Eastern Afghanistan, where the REAL perpetrators were hiding, not Iraq, where the real perpetrators were NOT hiding.

By the way Einstein. 17 sailors were killed when the USS Cole was bombed, not "300 some odd of our marines". That happened under REAGAN'S watch.

The thought that if there was a Democratic president, that they wouldn't have fought terrorism, is just another of the wingnuts fantasies.

Bill Clinton TOLD the Bush team their #1 concern should be Al Qaeda.
Of course, they ignored him. What did he know!

This is OLBERMANN WATCH and I, like many people are glad we have Countdown on TV.
Keith doesn't pull any punches and tells it like it is.
We need this in a world saturated with news pussyfooting around that elephant in the room.

bk, you have been proven over and over you are a hypocrit. If that's the best thing you have against PRESIDENT BUSH is the fact that he paused for 7 minutes (so you say) you have got nothing. Have you ever thought about the fact he was in a class room w/little kids? Maybe he was thinking, you should try it sometime, instead of "parroting." What was he supposed to do, jump up and start yelling hysterically?

America had a much different attitude about terrorism in the 90's.( which the wingnuts choose to forget) Even after the Cole was attacked, most Americans still didn't believe that it could happen in the USA.
If Clinton would have attacked a country at random for that incident( like Bush did Iraq) the republicans would have been incensed and started impeachment proceedings on the spot.

You forget how everything and anything Bill Clinton did was attacked by the republicans.

The partisan hack Hannity was crying about all the dead when Clinton went into Kosovo.
But thinks it's a wonderful achievement to go into Iraq where over 3,000 are dead now.

You wingnuts have no idea how truly foolish you are !

"What was he supposed to do, jump up and start yelling hysterically?"

Uh no....he was 'supposed' to immediately leave the room and beginning acting like a commander in chief, who might himself be the next target, and who's IMMEDIATE input was needed into how to defend his country.

Now did you REALLY need someone to explain this to you?

bk, you have been proven over and over you are a hypocrit. If that's the best thing you have against PRESIDENT BUSH is the fact that he paused for 7 minutes (so you say) you have got nothing. I've been posting the multitude of mistakes and failures Bush has put upon this country for months now.
    Maybe you missed it.

And you're STILL making excuses for Bush for sitting there for 7 minutes while we were attacked?
He could have said,"Excuse me, children , but I have some president business to take care of,".
    NOW COULDN'T HE, YOU FOOL ! ?

"bk, you have been proven over and over you are a hypocrit."

I'm still waiting for the first time.

And I'll wait your answer about my suggestion of how Bush could have excused himself instead of neglecting his duties as president when our country was attacked.

Now did you REALLY need someone to explain this to you?

Posted by: Mike at February 26, 2007 1:06 PM

obviously this Bush apologist needs our help.

bk, admit it, no matter what his reaction was, you would still criticize him. You are still crying over the 2000 election. Hear, take a tissue.....

"Bill Clinton TOLD the Bush team their #1 concern should be Al Qaeda."

The Bush Administration really screwed up because everyone knows that Sandy Berger told them that al Quaeda was out there and when Berger told Bush how al Quaeda was going to fly planes into the Twin Towers, Bush should have done something about it. I guess Bush just decided to ignore the respected public servant who told him what was going to happen. So no one can be blamed but Bush and his oil hungry cronies at Haliburton who are counting their cash right now and laughing at all the boys who have died giving up their lives so Haliburton can have its oil. If only Bush had listened to Sandy Berger, who is somebody who tells it like it is and is honest, so there is no doubt that Berger gave them the heads up.

He is a lot like Keith Olbermann someone who is simply a seeker of the truth. It is really interesting how the truth seekers are made to suffer. That is the way the world is. Keith is not perfect, but his flaws should be overlooked because he is a person who delivers the news in a way that just tells the facts and gives all sides a chance to be heard. I wish that other journalists would follow Olbermann's example and tell the whole truth. No wonder he this generation's Edward R. Murrow.

To call the great Hannity a partisan hack while thinking Ulbermahn is not biased really shows your mentality and intellect.

"you are still crying over the 2000 election"

Not really, but we should ALL be 'crying' NOW over the incompetent that was installed by the Supreme Court, certainly with the benefit of hindsight.

"Bill Clinton TOLD the Bush team their #1 concern should be Al Qaeda."

This would be known as "passing the buck." Cowardess!

bk, admit it, no matter what his reaction was, you would still criticize him. You are still crying over the 2000 election. Hear, take a tissue.....

Posted by: at February 26, 2007 1:14 PM

    Was his reaction acceptable?
Was sitting there stone face for 7 minutes while the United States was under attack an example of a good leader?
I told you what the simple solution was he could have done. What any good leader would have done.

George Bush proved 1000 times over since that fateful day when he froze when the country was attacked of just how poor a leader he is.
    Want about 1000 examples ?

    They've all been documented.

Your continuing attempt to defend the indefensible act of what Bush did when our country was attacked says a lot about yourself.

bk, like I said, no matter what he would have done, would have been wrong in your eyes.

I bet the many children who are going to have their health care cut under the new bush budget are going to cry.

I bet the spouses and relatives who have lost loved ones b/c of Bush's dirty little war that has accomplished NOTHING are STILL crying.

The CEO's and executives of big corporations are all laughing all the way to the bank.

You laughing with them, no name?
    Bush make you rich ?

    He, he, he.....

The leftists post their demagogic musings....

It is most enjoyable to see the meltdown.

The radical left wants immediate withdrawal of US forces from a war zone....and when the opposite occurs and it is clear it is because their leaders have chosen not to stop it, they get angry with one person....little ol' cee.

    Wow, what power I yield.

Um, professor, the founders wanted elected officials of the representative branch of our government to pursue policies supported by "the people." According to your rants, they should be:

    Removing The President from office
    Removing The VP from office
    Removing our troops from Iraq.....

They are not pursuing these goals.....don't get mad at me for pointing out the truth!

The founders expected the elected executive, elected every 4 years, to use his CONSTITUIONAL power to protect the interests of our country. THOUSANDS of soldiers in Iraq are part of this national interest, (not to mention our commitment to the democratically elected government of Iraq), so I am of the opinion that pursuing goals that make the Iraq mission successful is the correct path.

    You do not.....

Well, all I have to say is that it is a shame that your ruling elite have been incapable of(really unwilling to) change[ing] the policy.

And street protests are fine....I just like to show that the ideas and goals these small, radical protests support are not mainstream and have not been effective.....I am sorry you do not like the truth. When there is popular support, on the ground, for your radical, throw-back views, professor, I will be the first to admit it.

BTW, I watched Senator Levin's interview, he failed to change my opinion of the liberal congressional leadership.....It is still all about politics....who wins in 2008 and who keeps their power in The Congress. It has NOTHING to do with helping soldiers, helping The Iraqis or keeping our nation secure from further terrorist attacks. This is what your Democratic Party is really standing for....their own power. What a joke.

A good example of an apologist's reaction while continuing to defend the indefensible.

Bush didn't make me rich, my hard work has made well off, you should try it sometime.

"When there is popular support, on the ground, for your radical, throw-back views, professor, I will be the first to admit it".

Cee must have missed the Elections in NOv, and the polls that say that 75% of Americans disapprove of this war.
Cee is a stone cold liar and idiot.

Opps, sorry. I meant to say my hard work has made Me well off.

cee, can you take over for me, keep these fringe left olbyloons in line, I have a ranch to run. Plus, Hannity will be on soon!

Cee thinks that if he keeps ranting the same thing over and over and over and over again, changing a word or two around every now and then, people will listen. It's the old mantra; "tall a lie often enough, and people will believe it".

Then Cee, if you close it out with the same tired, overused, out of context quotes over and over and over again, people will keep reading them. Not so!

I for one, stopped reading Cee's rants long ago. I already know what they are going to say without reading them.

"tall a lie often enough, and people will believe it".
    What does this mean?

When the core of the Democrat Party would vote for Karl Marx (and/or Fidel Castro) over Ronald Reagan, while the core of the Republican Party would vote for either Bill or Hillary Clinton over ANY dictator at any time tells you all you need to know about the difference between the Right and the Left in this country.

Republicans for the most part respect the democratic process, while hardcore Leftists HATE pine for "benevolent" dictators that serve their interests.

duh...It means exactly what it says. It was how the 'news' organizations in the old Soviet Union operated, which is similar to how Fox 'News' oerates today.

Here is 'Matt' again, educating us about what 'leftists' and 'liberals' actually think. He knows, because he's heard it a thousand times from the likes of Hannity and Limbaugh!

how do you "tall" a lie? brain dead olbyloon

    Rosie (Bushkill)...come back to reality.....

IF there was such a strong opposition as the left claims....the November elections would have resulted in a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate (also, Lieberman would NOT have been re-elected) and The House would have a much larger majority for the left....one that could even muster an overturn of a Presidential veto.

Guess what, the left has very little true power and it shows by what has NOT occurred since January.

The leftists protests garner less than 25K....They pale to what was seen in The Vietnam era....If 75% felt the same way as the radical left does, there would be weekly protests in the hundreds of thousands demanding Bush bring the troops home......it ain't happening, Rosie. You try to convince people of lies about the state of the political environment and it is really rather pathetic.

Again....if 75% of the people wanted what you want....why do only 54 Senators support a NONBINDING anti-surge resolution....I would think there would be more.....don't you?

How can Senator Lieberman exist if there is such a resolute opinion in the country with regard to the war? He is a "D" after all....easily winning in a very liberal New England State!

The lack of knowledge from the lefty posters here is ridiculous....I feel really sorry for you.

"I think the Vietnamese are better off in Vietnam," George McGovern - NEWSWEEK

    Hey Mike....just for you....no quotes......

Because I want you to read the following.....

Show me where I have lied.

Olbermann is no truth-teller. He cherry-picks the headline to choose those that will most flatter the Dems and when they don't flatter, he just ignores. Did you watch him on the CBS Morning profile? He claimed he'd be just as hard on Dems if they were in power. Two notes about that, the Dems control the House & The Senate but Olbermann seems to be in ignorance of his fact. Secondly, the entire time he was telling the reporter that lie, he was vehemently shaking his head no, a classic sign of a liar. Also notice how in that interview he paused and thought very carefully what to say about Hillary lest he piss off any of his left-wing liberal supporters and his new best buds, Bill and Hillary. Oh yeah, that's a "truth-teller", that is if you define a "truth-teller" as being an "ass-kisser".

Now that the RS interview has appeared, now that he's been on Conan and the CBS Sunday morning puff piece has apeared and now that his ratings have been in the toilet for the past two weeks what does fat ass pull out of his back pocket? Why it's another one of his carefully timed "Special Komments" designed to fire up his liberal base and boost his ever sagging ratings in conjunction with his new "media blitz" tour. This man isn't a journalist, he's a whore to the Democratic party.

Hey Cowardly Lib (can't call you by any other name because you hide in shadows and don't name yourself - which is amazingly consistent with your cloak & dagger ideology): Can you refute what I said instead of drooling all over your keyboard?

Tell me I'm wrong that you and the Dean-iac Sector of the Democrat Party wouldn't vote for Karl Marx or Fidel Castro over Ronald Reagan (a President, by the way, overwhelmingly popular with a large majority of the American People but marginalized by the Internet Idiot Liberals).

    1:43:

To start with, you 'tall' a lie by pointing out inconsequential keyboard entry spelling errors to mask the fact that you really have no coherant arguments to the contrary.

    Cee:

To start with, your 'spitting' incident has been debunked a number of times, both regarding Iraq AND vietnam, yet you keep right on with it.

And IF indeed, a handfull of isolated 'spitting' incidents were to have occurred in either era, they WERE in fact very isolated, and hardly representative of the anti-war crowd's feelings in general.

Looks like the Carnival Barker will be in rare form tonight with a dismissed juror in the Libby case. Somehow, he will spin this into a grand conspiracy to get a hung jury for Libby.

Libby has about as much chance as being convicted as Corrado Soprano.

Ya' know, the more I think about it, the more I think I was wrong about Bush, he really is a good president.

Matt, I guess I'm the one you're calling a "cowrdly lib", as if posting a name on a blog somehow makes you 'brave':

I personally voted for, and liked Reagan VERY much, at least until he became obsessed with Nicaragua. Even after that I still liked him a lot, and voted for him both times he ran. I also voted for Bush in 2000, before he showed his true colors. I think that pretty much puts to bed your I "would have voted for Karl Marx or Fidel Castro" 'pointless' point.

I detest Bush because he has been an incompetent president. I detest Bush because he has proven himself to be a liar after he took office. I detest Bush because he told more lies in his campaign before he took office as well. But mostly, I detest Bush because he took our country into an unneccesary war that is literally tearing out country apart, and is responsible for the draining of our treasury, as well as the needless loss of countless lives, as well as the prestige and honor of ur country.

For you, it is all about "lefies' and 'liberals', but trust me Matt, that has little or nothing to do with reality.

No one on this site has presented evidence that the NYT reported incident was fabricated....in fact, the actual article reads as if the reporter saw it first-hand....look it up.

Secondly, the left has tried to rehab its image from the Vietnam era since, well, the Vietnam era.....I know personally 10 Vietnam vets, 2 family members, who were verbally or physically attacked when they returned from duty or participated in counter protests during the era.

Try telling my uncle he wasn't called, "Baby killer," as he left his pathetic VA rehab in 1971 and I'll see him smack you around.

The only person cited here at OW that tries to dispell the vet's stories has his own liberal agenda and is not credible. Agenda driven history is pretty much the standard now-a-days and it makes me laugh that anyone even tries to say they have "history on their side" when it comes to this and many other ideological arguments......it's a joke.

My quote from the NYT was never corrected by the publisher, so it stands.....too bad for your attempt at rehabing the left's pathetic image.

Try again....what about the other three?

Well, Bushkill, it sounds like somebody decided that if they can't beat you, they'll just join you, and then hijacked your name at 2:13 PM.

OMG! Boys and Girls, it actually happened!

At approximately 2:09 pm on The Dan Patrick Show on ESPNradio, KO actually said, "I'm a liberal"

He did not say non-biased, non-partisan, democrat, or even progressive...he said "I'm a liberal"

    FINALLY...an admission

No, it's really me, sorry Mike.

Fred Bear - that is truly Breaking News!! I wonder who woke him up from his slumber?

    Uh, Keith?! No sh-t!!

After denying he's a liberal all this time? "I'm not a liberal" he has said so many times. Flip, flop, flip flop. Fred Bear, I have killed a lot of game with one of those bows, I retired it a few yrs ago. I use a PSC now. Too bad there isn't more people like Fred Bear. A true conservative and American.

Matt, I guess I'm the one you're calling a "cowrdly lib", as if posting a name on a blog somehow makes you 'brave':

I never professed to carry water for GW Bush. I just don't hate the guy like you people do (you're obsessed). Sure, you voted for Reagan. Riiiiight!! Give me a break okay? His "obsession" with Nicaragua was rooted in honor, as was everything the man did, and good for him (and the US) for it.

Bush is no conservative, he's certainly been a huuuge disappointment for me. But I know for a fact that whatever he's done it's been borne of pure intentions, not this insane conspiracy, war-for-oil bullsh-t that you people crouch to daily.

And the whole point here is that anyone, anyone, who doesn't recognize that Keith Olbermann is a liberal, leftist political HACK is either too dumb to see straight or too wicked to admit it. Either or both, not neither. The guy's a total scumbag and totally and completely dishonest.

    Cee:

No matter how many Vietnam era vets you say you know, I have already told you that I am one myself, and I have already told you more than once that neither myself, or any of the other MANY vets I know, and knew at the time, were EVER subjected to the kind of incidents you keep citing. I'm not driven by any 'agenda', I am stating the TRUTH.

You continue to live in a fantasy world about Vietnam, yet YOU WERE NOT THERE - I was, and I say all of that is overblown, so leave it alone!

Also one isolated incident that "was never corrected" by the NYT does NOT make it true, nor would it matter that much if it were, therefore, It is a de facto lie.

    WOW FOR REAL !

Judge dismisses CIA leak trial juror

"What she had exposure to on the CountDown show with Keith Olbermann obviously disqualifies her. That show has not reported one fact about this case but is full of nothing but partisan BS. Its hard to believe that network would resign that lie'in creep" the judge said.

Matt, Ulbermahn has made fun of and belittled his own fans on several occasions and they still worship this pile of dung, it's called blind.

    OK Matt:

I haven't really argued that Olbermann wasn't a liberal, but please tell me what 'liberal' stands he has actually taken?

And please, don't give me the anti-war, anti-Bush, and anti-executive power stuff, because those are not liberal ideals at all.

And yes, Matt, no, I wasn't lying when I stated I voted for Reagan - twice!

    Great Logic Mike!

so the following must be true...

I live in the midwest on the edge of tornado alley, but I have never seen a tornado in person. None of my many friends, acquaintances, and family have ever seen a tornado in person. THEREFORE, the existence of tornadoes, is a de facto lie

So is it Albert Sharpton-Thurmond now ?

I don't think Ulbermahn is a liberal, either. He is off the chart, flat out, whacked. It says a lot that our troops despise him.

Or is it Hillary-Rodham-Sharpton-Thurmond-Clinton now ?

I don't think Ulbermahn is a liberal, either. He is off the chart, flat out, whacked. It says a lot that our troops despise him.

It was a direct quote from KO...if Mr Cox or Mr Dollar knows anyone signed up to download ESPNradio shows, they can get it and post it here

OK 2:40, lets go with YOUR logic.

Tornadoes have been widely reported on, we've seen the video, we've heard from the victims, and we can even look up the statistical insurance payout records regarding tornadoes, as well as the number of deaths that have occurred overall, and in any given year.

Try getting that kind of documentation with your so called spitting incidents, and see how far you get!

Mike....The New York Times prints accounts of annonymous sources that are anti-administration and you accept them without question. A reporter writes of an acutal incident as if they saw it themselves, and you suggest it may not be true....?...ok, then I guess I was wrong?

Ok, your logic has lost me...but hey that's happened before.

It seems that as a person who is anti-war, you would be biased anyway so I really cannot accept your version of events...now or back in the Vietnam era.....according to your logic, BTW.

Fred Bear, what I am trying to say is Ulbermahn is a very confused and deranged character. His whole show is nothing but an act and a very bad one, at that. The man knows nothing about politics. He has the same little feminine wannabe "analyizers" on day in and day out who, also, have no credibility. Felons? Rats?

Matt, Ulbermahn has made fun of and belittled his own fans on several occasions and they still worship this pile of dung, it's called blind.

    *******************

Yes, I know - it's because he is truly the most contemptible man on TV. It speaks more to NBC and that mess of a cable station they run that they'd put him on their prime time slot. There are psychos like Keith everywhere (just look in any used unflushed toilet, there they are), but to promote him as though he's NOT pure crap? That's just ridiculous.

I heard the "I'm a liberal" quote on ESPNRadio today too. Couldn't believe he finally admitted to it. Guess he had too. Wonder if he'll go back now and retract all the lies he's told to every interviewer who has ever interviewed him?

Again Mike.....just because you were spared the pain....do not suggest my uncle lied or deny that the following did not occur......

"Among the journalists who gave first-hand accounts of spitting on soldiers was James Reston, two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Spitting was one of the actions tame enough for Reston to describe in his New York Times front page story covering the October 21-22, 1967 Washington anti-war demonstrations: “It is difficult to report publicly the ugly and vulgar provocation of many of the militants. They spat on some of the soldiers in the front line at the Pentagon and goaded them with the most vicious personal slander. Many of the signs carried by a small number of militants . . . are too obscene to print.”

"A May 16, 1970 story in the Pomona Progress Bulletin recounted how on May 15, Col. Bowen Smith, head of Claremont Men’s College’s ROTC program, was spat on by protesters as he went to his campus office.

"Many newspapers carried a July 21, 1971 AP story about a Northwestern University student, apparently under surveillance by the FBI for many months, who had been observed spitting on a mid-shipman in uniform. She denied that she had done it (presumably she did not deny that some young woman had spat on the mid-shipman).

"Several newspapers, including the June 18, 1969 Panama News, printed an interview with General Chapman of the U.S. Marines, in which he “confirmed stories of physical abuse,” including spitting. According to Chapman, a Marine recruiter is invited on campus by the administration, but students have been allowed to enter the area set aside for the Marine recruiter. They “stepped on his hat, smashed cigarettes, spit at him and insulted him. Frequently the recruiters are young officers or NCOs who have served in Vietnam.” They are trained to suffer this abuse in silence. “Marines are under very strict orders not to react, not to talk back, not to fight back. Just to stand in dignified silence.”

"Indeed, according to an August 27, 1967 New York Times article by Neil Sheehan, as part of military training in the national guard, soldiers were actually being drilled by being spat on, abuse to which they were instructed not to respond.

"One of the more amazing stories of protester abuse of veterans (and one veteran’s violent response) were the attacks on Congressional Medal of Honor winners. In a March 14, 1968 column in the Bucks County Courier Times (and elsewhere), the head of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, WWII Medalist Thomas J. Kelly, reveals that even Medal of Honor winners have been abused and “spat upon as ‘monsters.’”

"Kelly recounts how, in an appalling lack of decency, about 200 anti-war protesters showed up to harass the Medal of Honor winners at their annual dinner, held one year in Beverly Hills. Most Medalists were able to dodge the hecklers, but WWII Medalist James Conners was unable to avoid a particularly obnoxious man yelling, “Killer, killer, killer.” Conners decked him.

"In the November 14, 1967 New York Times, Pulitzer-Prize winner Max Frankel quoted Jack Risoen, a California Democrat who runs a liquor store: "Last week I took my parents to an American Legion meeting--it was just a memorial service for the First World War dead and outside three kids spit on my father." Imagine that: spitting on a veteran attending a memorial service for dead veterans!

"Several articles, such as in the August 3, 1969 Odessa American, refer to anti-war students spitting on ROTC uniforms, without being entirely clear whether the students are in them at the time."

The radical left tried to rehab itself....and Mike participates....what a shame!

Who the is "Brick"? Can't be sure but he is a spot representative of the Culture of the Klan.

He defends the long history of white southern protestants refusing to atone for the sins of their culture. His justification for this? Because it is their culture. Boy what a lame excuse. I suppose if Germans today were still flying the Nazi flag he would say so what it is their cultural heritage.

Read below "Bricks" response to "Dr Philm" where the good doctor takes up the challenge to name a few thousand Christians who are guilty of atrocities.

When Dr Philm sights the long history of owning human beings and then torturing them as free slaves when ever they fought for equality. Segregation and the Klan is just the tip of the iceberg.

Yet here we have the unashamed defence of the non-repenting white southern protestant practice of refusing to acknowledge the atrocities of slavery and segregation. A despicable ignorance of what it was like to be a black person during those times.

Brick.....my answer to the secular humanists that claim moral superiority over their fellow is simply this......

Please name me ONE secular humanist who was a leading abolitionist in the 19th century.

There will be no answer.....why? Because the secularists were to busy accepting the status quo of white race superiority, like Darwin himself.

EVANGELICALS in The United States and in Great Britain, lead the abolitionist movement. No atheists or agnostics among these fine people. Again, the secularists were too busy doing other things.....(and they still are!).

I would invite anyone who doubts me to look into the life of William Wilberforce.....oh yeah.....a movie is now out about his life....

    Matt

I think that poster is some liberal trying to hose you. He loved Reagan until..... He voted bush until......

Between Reagan and Bush?.....Did we??? then until?

If anything they might not be a liberal, just somebody who changes daily with the wind.

Is Olby a liberal? For the right amount of money he would become a conservative overnight. He has no conviction, no base, nothing.

Remember Chris Mathews was the darling of the left until he fell off the talking points by the far left when he tried to have both sides on. Then they went nuts! Mathews is a traitor. blah, blah, blah!

Right now Olby puts out the talking points of the far left. No free thinking liberal or independent such as myself would drink this nasty kool-aid. At the very most, Olby will get 1/3 and thats way high! He will never get a majority. The country isn't far kook left, like his show.

I would say the same thing and it would happen if Hannity was able to get rid of Alan Colmes. If anything ratings would drop.

A side bar to that. Last week I read a liberal blog might have been on Huffington. And the blogger posted it would be nice if everybody cut Colmes some slack. HE GOT BASHED! Fair and balanced liberals? You don't go along with the plan. You get bashed.

People that want a right point of view won't watch his show. People who want to see both sides of a view won't watch him. Only those who want the kook fringe of the left will watch. And then it's nothing new to them, it's just going over the old points. Not much free thinking there eh? Really, how many FREE THINKING on the left or right read Truthout?

Again Media Matters has a problem with everybody but Keith. Huffington post has a problem with everybody but Keith. Is Keith mister perfect?

If Anderson Cooper would have went far-left Olby would have zero ratings.

Keith can only keep this fantasy up for so long. And him going after other people (O'Reilly, H&C, Cooper, Greta) well, those people have better ratings. Olby is riff-raff. Why get in a fight with a pig, You'll just get muddy.

Same guests means nobody really wants to go on his show. Endless Dog and Pony press tours have netted nothing. And really if you don't watch but then you tune in what do you get. Daily Bush Bash. Okay that goes on all day nothing new here.
Endless O'Reilly attacks? Hasn't worked, it even slightly backfired on Media Matters because when they went after O'Reilly and Oprah. Some folks who post on that site would not join in the hate fest. And then those people got slammed. These were people who are far left but draw the line at kids, And tried to post that even though they think O'Reilly is scum, he's trying to do right by the kids let's leave this alone. But people who have a pure hate nothing else, for O'Reilly slammed them. Compasion party?

    It makes you wonder.

    Olby's show:

Only guests that agree with talking points.

A blog site (The black Hole) that if you disagree, even if you don't use bad words and post in a nice respectful way. It gets ommitted. I.E. agree with us or put up a very very light argument that we can hit out of the park or your post won't see the light of day. Freedom of Speech?

Remember! They tried with Howard Dean. After a slight bump up. Do you see much of him today?

Air America. Look at all the positive press and buzz they got. Even had a positve movie about them made. Where are they today? Bankruptcy. Fighting with themselves. Look what they are doing to Ed Schultz because he won't go lock step with them.

Maybe as we get close to Nov.2008 Olby will get a milion viewers but I doubt it. If his Schtick worked. CNN would have put replaced Paula Zhan with Jack Cafferty.

The day Olby comes out of his bubble, he's done!!

Still the funniest line of the year.

"The Most Honest Man In News".

Who can say that without bustin' out laughing?

Cee, why do you assume I would accept anything I read in the NYT as long as it is anti-administration? I don't accept ANYTHING I hear or read until it is verified by multiple sourcing, and that includes anything I hear on KO's show.

It was eye opening how many people accepted hook, line, and sinker the Pelosi 'planegate' story as it was told through right wing radio just a couple of weeks ago. I even started to believe it myself. Many of them STILL believe the outright lie that Nancy Pelosi was the one who requested that airplane. I personally encountered angry reactions when I tried to correct the record with an injection of truth. Why? Because they WANT to believe the worst, in order to validate their preconceived notions that Nancy Pelosi is 'bad', just like Shaun Hannity keeps telling them she is.

Regarding "spitting incidents", you WANT to believe the worst, therefore you accept everything you hear that validates this notion, and reject first person accounts from people like myself that have told you that being anti-troops was NOT at all the general mood of the anti-war crowd, then or now. I come from an entire family of veterans from that period, so it's not just me.

Even though documented and verifiable incidents are hard to find, I never stated that no incidents ever occurred. I simply have been trying to point out that there was not widespread hatred and abuse of the troops, even then.

However, you WANT to believe different, therefore you will continue to do so!

M Schultz.....Your posts rarely deserve comment....but the personal attack at 3:46 was amusing enough....

On this very site....I had about a 2 week back and forth with a fellow believer of your's, Colbert, about this very subject back in October/November....RCox indulged me and allowed about 100 posts that listed the Evangelicals responsible for the abolition of the black slave. Colbert had NO ONE from his (or yours) ilk that lifted one finger for the slave's plight. He retreated in defeat.

I have a great book for the secular humanist to read and find out that the holy scriptures and true evangelical Christianity never condoned chattle slavery and in fact was the sole source of abolition......UNCLE TOM'S CABIN.

    Heard of it, M Schultz?

    M "I see nothing" Shultzie
Still believe that Al Queda waited for Bush to be president before launching? Still think if Gore was in office they would have waited? Or did you come down off you prozac induced delirium? Sheesh... please don't come her with your ranting based on UFOs, Zodiac, or other leftie hypothesis.

Most anti-war people do not believe that Al Qeada much cared WHO was president when 911 occurred, nor do most of us believe either Bush OR Clinton are to blame.

That said, most of us are only blaming Bush for what he has done AFTER 911, most specifically....invading Iraq. Bringing up Clinton's or Bush's culpability prior to 911 is simply a way of fogging the real issue, something the right keeps trying to do shamelessly.

We can argue all day long about whether Bush or Clinton could have prevented 911, and both arguments have valid points, but neither argument is superior to the other.

All of that obscures the fact that attacking Iraq was a colossal mistake of failed leadership at best, or cynical persuit of special interests at worst.

Your logic presents a two way street, Mike. One who WANTS to see the BEST in the anti-war movement will overlook incidents and believe contrary "urban myth" arguments about the mistreatment of returning soldiers or attack the victim and say his credibility is subject.

Been many a day that the Loons like Bushkill have argued that the blood of 911 is all on Bush. 100% Bush (see Richard Clarke) with Clinton being absolved of any guilt. I respect your ability to spread the blame around, as it shows reason. BUT I really love it when Shultzie even make the absurd extension that Al Queda was 'waiting' for Bush before they sprang their eight year plan.

In the House's non-binding vote to oppose the president's deployment of more troops to Baghdad, 17 Republicans voted with 229 Democrats to pass the measure. Four GOP representatives didn't vote. Lost was the fact that 180 Republicans stuck with Bush. By that count, Bush gets a 92% loyalty standing among House Republicans who voted. Hardly a GOP exodus.

"In the Senate, Democrats fell four votes short of the 60 needed to force a vote on an identical Iraq resolution. Why? Not enough Republicans would go along. Indeed, seven GOP senators broke with the president, and nine didn't vote, yet 33 held firm. Among GOP senators who voted, that's an 83% Republican loyalty rating for Bush.

"Though the president may have lost the country on the issues of the day, rumors of his demise among Republicans voters and lawmakers are greatly exaggerated."

There seem to be a lot of "lap dogs," to use the professor's terminology. Who really has the power?

"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration’s policies in Iraq. Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back." NYT 1/28/07

As I told you many time, I WAS a "returning soldier" at the time, so my view is no "urban myth". My father was in Vietnam twice, my Brother in law was in Vietnam twice (and is now terminal from the effects of agent orange), and my brother was in the military at that time as well, and I had many military buddies, some of whom I kept in contact with for many years afterwards....and NONE of us encountered anything like what you wish to believe was common. On the contrary, you are dismissing all of our very real experiences as 'urban myths" fed by an 'agenda'. Any 'agenda' I now have is based on many very real world experiences, including Vietnam, and it's aftermath, and NOT politics.

Keep fooling yourself. It's also why you cannot see that the president is not at all the competent or 'honorable' man you continue to delude yourself into believing he is.

I heard the "I'm a liberal" quote on ESPNRadio today too. Couldn't believe he finally admitted to it. Guess he had too. Wonder if he'll go back now and retract all the lies he's told to every interviewer who has ever interviewed him?

Look up "pandering" or "panderer" and it will have a picture of Keith Ulbermahn. He is giving in to pressure he has been getting from his lib, socialist "friends." Anything to boost his slumping ratings. How long before he interviews Puko Chavez?

Shultzie- you make the leap from 911 to Iraq...and wrong you are. After 911 Bush went into Afghanistan and pushed the Bin Laden into.... you know what- its a waste of time. You probably think Bush was in on 911 too. You are whacked.

Oh boy Mike, claiming your opinion is ANY better simply because of experience compared to let's say, a "Swift Boat Veteran for Truth" or other Bush supporter is the height of arrogance! You are anti-Bush so your "stories," are just as subject.

I am not deluded, Mike...The stories cited at the website I provided historically documented events; protesters spitting and violently attacking uniformed personnel.

In addition, there has been increased vandalism on ROTC and recruiting centers over the past 4 years, and the NYT story stands....uncorrected and part of, "the paper of record."

Anti-troop and anti-war goes hand in hand. This simple fact may not fit with your argument, but that's just too bad.

So in your honor I will again post the NYT clip....still a part of the facts presented by the venerated newspaper!

Cee continues the myth: "Anti-troop and anti-war goes hand in hand"

You're just plain WRONG, but keep on believing what you choose to believe. I can't stop you!

I say YOU are ANTI-TROOP, because you want to see many more of them killed for no good reason. I say you don't have a moral leg to stand on, but you will continue to delude yourslef, until the bitter end.

I remember so clearly on 9/11 when the energy finally left my gut and moved to my brain that my first reasonable thought was: "O, God help our nation, with Bush in charge this will be a disaster." I was correct. That verdict has long been in.

Gore would have been forceful in a productive way, not just name-calling and bullying, and he would have managed the occupation much, much better. Not a doubt in mind.

Elections are suppose to be choices. In 2000, the choice was Gore, although that was thwarted by a combination or arcane processes and questionable procedures in Florida. To the extent Bush was the choice, it was a poor choice, and we, more particularly our men and women in harm's way, are paying a dear, dear price.

EVANGELICALS in The United States and in Great Britain, lead the abolitionist movement. No atheists or agnostics among these fine people. Again, the secularists were too busy doing other things.....(and they still are!).

What percent of the Euro/American population were not christian or religious? This is what you play you claims on. Claims with zero basis in measurable accuracy.

Secular humanist were black listed then as they are now from being prominent in politics. Like religion, politics is all about playing to the masses for the purposes of manipulating them into accepting social controls that represent the upper classes of society.

Obviously most great people from the past were born into theist backgrounds. From Adolf Hitler to Mother Teresa the vast majority of people on this planet are born into religious homes.

So for you to say that Christians were behind the abolition movement means nothing when you compare the numbers.

Millions of white southern protestants fought tooth and nail to keep both slavery and segregation.

You want to pretend that a tiny fraction of people who were not always from the south are representative of the millions who were both from the south and living as christian people.

Just more twisted bullsh-t to deny the battle that took more than 600,000 dead in the Civil War and then another 100 year battle to end an evil segregation period dominated by a united christian Klan culture.

We all can understand why this evil is so hard to own up to. But denying it this late in the game speaks volumes about what else you are denial about:

    The Republican Party!

Instead of showing who the abolitionists were.....blankman at 5:53 PM retreats from the argument....how typical. Fish in a barrel!

Secularists were not "blacklisted," my dear friend.....they supported (even ran from the top down) the economic system that relied on chattle slavery.....and they thrived!

Evangelical Christians fought BEFORE the Civil War to free the slaves....ran the Underground Railroad and published tracts that started the entire process. The atheist/secularist DID NOTHING......

In fact, the wonderful secularist hero, Sir Charles Darwin thought the black race inferior to the white race.

Face it liberal blankman....your like-minded friends were wrong then and they continue to be wrong now!

"Evangelical Christians fought BEFORE the Civil War to free the slaves..."

What percent of WHITE SOUTHERN PROTESTANT EVANGELICALS fought slavery? .000001% that would be too high.

You seem to want to ignore this clarification. Hmmm, I wonder why?

What motivated poor white southern protestants to go and die in a war that was fought to keep slavery. The same slavery system that kept their wages low? An ignorance based on racist perceptions of humans as property? Or an ignorance based on being poor uneducated people conned by theopolitical system that dupes you all still to this day????

Could it be that a repeat of then is happening now?

Poor white southern protestant men are very well represented in the our military today. And today the culture they come from is once again sending them off to die for today's version of southern plantation owners interests. Only today it is multi-national oil companies.

Keep pretending the southern protestant culture never learns simply because they admit what they do wrong.

Things are looking good for the witchhunt/libby trial, sounds like there was an olbyloon on the jury, she was tossed out on her ass!

Again, the changing of the subject to another straw man from the poster is not going work......

Nice try....but since you cannot recognize that the secular humanist stood idlely by as millions of black slaves were bought, sold and killed, there is nothing to debate.....

Just like the godless philosophy of the likes of Nietzsche and Marx gave us both Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia and the billions killed as a result....the secularist crowd just cannot face it!

Sure, use religion both as a scapegoat and tool for manipulation....that's what the secular humanist does best!

He and his radical leftist ideologues remain impotent to do anything positive for their horrible agenda. All he can do is continue to come to OW and post off subject cut/paste attacks on The Bush Administration. Cursing the darkness is such a meaningless existence...is it not?

What a pathetic existence for the once proud flower child who is, once again, searching for Haight Asbury.
