Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

Levin on Olbermann - Part V: Update

On his radio program today, Dr Mark Levin had a brief update on his Keith Overbite project. And we have this short clip in mp3 format for your listening pleasure:

Note: Make sure you visit Dr Levin's site for a screenshot of the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann you probably haven't seen before.

    Johnny

Did Keith finally pick on the wrong guy? Or is there some history between these two?

It seems that anywhere Keith wants to take this, Levin is willing to go there.

This is not shaping up as just a little tit for tat spat. You might have to put up a 'Tale of the Tape'(Boxing term for you non-sports) soon !

Does anyone know who Mark Levin is ?

"Who's the biggest pervert in the world?"

    "A: Keith Olbermann"

    "B: Keith Olbermann"

    "C: Keith Olbermann"

Pretty immature. Kind of like nominating Rush Limbaugh for the Noble Peace Prize in the first place!

I see Levin left of Mark Foley and Ted Haggard off as options.

"Does anyone know who Mark Levin is ?"

He's the biggest pervert in the world!

I do not think that Keith Olbermann took off because Mark Levin's comments. Mark Levin did not say that much bad stuff about him. A lot of immature things ... but nothing particularly upsetting.

Mister Edward R. Murrow of hack
Disappoints cuz he's hung like a tack
    The man who appalls
    Possesses no balls
And that's why he won't go to Iraq

Oh, my goodness, Johnny, that's some picture!

Olbermann is ever more eerily Moai-like.

    Spooky!

Katy Turic- would it be possible for you to try something other than the A-A-B-B-A rhyme scheme? Give it a shot. K?

"Katy Turic- would it be possible for you to try something other than the A-A-B-B-A rhyme scheme? Give it a shot. K?"

Ummm, then it wouldn't be a limerick anymore... which is the entire pointless point. Got it? See Olby Limericks - Complete Collection.

Thanks for the explanation. Now it has become apparent to me why you're quickly becoming this generation's Sylvia Plath.

No, indierik, it's the REAL katy turic who will someday stick her head in an oven...

    Thanks for explaining further, Cecelia.

Katy, one more thing- didn't you already use the "hung like a tack" line in an earlier post? Maybe it's time for you to get a thesaurus?

    Indi,

You compared Katy Turic to Sylvia Plath, who is a liberal icon. Does that mean you were giving Katy a compliment?

This is getting embarassing. M. Levin is such an a--hole, his humor so hilarious. What is the matter with you people? Don't you realize you've been sold a load of crap? Mark and his buddy Sean can't even spell the word TRUTH

    Thanks for explaining further, Cecelia.

In katy's defense "hung like a nail, staple, brad, or rivet" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

No, Rico, I was being a snarky dickhead.

Hey did you see who's #1 in both basketball polls???

    IT'S GREAT . . . TO BE . . . A FLORIDA GATOR!!

No, Rico, I was being a snarky dickhead.

Posted by: indierik at February 5, 2007 9:23 PM

No problem we like that in a person.

What a punk that Olbermann is. Levin pokes a little fun at him and he hides under his desk.He can sure dish it out but when someone gives it back he doesn't show up on his own show.PUNK.

Is this Mark Levin GAY? He sure is interested in Keith's penis and were he puts it. A real sicko!

ADVENTUROUS SF WANTED. SBM, 34, tall, damn good looking, ISO snarky woman to exchange jabs with. Likes fast motorcycles and long walks on the beach (nice cliché, huh). Call 800-indierik

Going by his attack O'Reilly/attack all of Fox News attitude with feud No. 1, when Keith finally makes it back to the Seacacus set I would assume to be consistant, he'll be going after the Disney people, since Levin's they're employee through his ABC Radio syndication deal (of course, Keith's also a Disney employee, though his ESPN Radio deal with the Dan Patrick show, so there's a chance he might be a tad more reluctant to take on the whole corporation, if he does actually decide to fire back at Levin).

Is this Mark Levin GAY? He sure is interested in Keith's penis and were he puts it. A real sicko!

Posted by: Beth at February 5, 2007 9:40 PM

Olbermann offered Andrea Mackris 100k, on air, to give him tapes of her alledged phone calls with O'Reilly.

Levin hasn't offered Karma bites or other women who have encountered K.O., any money, but he seems to be intent on having some fun with their reviews of Keith.

as usual O'leilly shows his liberal stupidity with his retarded second grade comments. nice of you to step of the short bus O'leilly to once again prove that you are the moron we have all come to expect. now shut up and go back to your closet leftard.

Typical distraction from life and death matters. Chase a guy's penis around town. They did this with Clinton, they demonize gays and lesbians, so yes Olbermann and everyone else outraged by the holier than thou rightwing nut jobs should expose two faced blow hards like O'lielly!

Olbermann should have offered 200 grand and played the tapes everyday until the delusional fools who play pretend games of ethics give up on these fake witch hunts and pay closer attention to the real issues that matter to all of us!

leftard? I wonder what regular posted this comment?

"Katy, one more thing- didn't you already use the "hung like a tack" line in an earlier post? Maybe it's time for you to get a thesaurus?"

"Hung like a tack" just seemed appropriate for a pencil-dick "hack" that won't go to "Iraq". My thesaurus also suggested hairy "ballsack" or smelly "buttcrack".

Olbermann should have offered 200 grand and played the tapes everyday until the delusional fools who play pretend games of ethics give up on these fake witch hunts and pay closer attention to the real issues that matter to all of us!

Posted by: at February 5, 2007 10:06 PM

Good news. I think Levin might be the type to make it happen for ya...

Poor little Keith couldn't make it out of bed today. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!:) I wonder if his ratings tonight will beat he ratings tomorrow when he shows up to work.
Great Factor tonight as always. Bill put his foot up AljazeraNBC's ass. He called them out on hiring a radical left wing hate monger as a “Military Analyst". This jerk William Arkin wrote a smoking pile of crap in the Washington Post that called the troops mercenaries. He said they are too pampered. This guy is a true left wing a--hole and it is great to see Bill go after this loser. Anyone who considers NBC a news organization, is delusional.

The Factor is one sick f--- !
I thought degenerates like this went out with Spiro Agnew.
    Wow !

There are no great Factor's. Only spin and the illusion of Billo getting the bad guys.
What, no pedaphiles to hunt down tonight?

If you can't see thru Billo's song and dance, I feel sorry for you.

"...it is great to see Bill go after this loser. Anyone who considers NBC a news organization, is delusional.
Posted by: The Factor at February 5, 2007 10:13 PM"

Delusional? Last time I checked Bill O'reilly was the laughing stock of every late night comedian not to mention the hugely successful Steven Colbert show entirely based on mimicking the absurdity of O'lielly's style.

The Republican party was booted out of congress, Bush has the lowest rating's of any president in modern times and Fox News is known by everyone who doesn't have their head up their ass as the mouth piece of every multinational corporation who goes around this planet plundering the national resources of foreign lands to keep our SUV's gassed up and our obese children fat and stupid.

It was not Bill O'reilly that was invited to the 2006 White House Correspondents Dinner, it was the man who nightly makes a fool of Bill O'reilly!

Let me know the next time the right produces a genius like Colbert.

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-869183917758574879

Let's put down KO b/c he's sick.None of you brave right wingers have ever gotten sick.

    Idiots !

Colbert killed at the correspondents dinner last year.
Bush and the wingnuts didn't know what hit them.

    STFU O'leilly!

The wingnuts took a terrible beating last year- the election, Colbert, as you mentioned, and Clinton backhanding Chris Wallace from one side of the studio to the other.

You ever notice how many of these comments from names like The Factor make comments to whip up come backs on this page.

I feel confident many of this rediculously stupid comments like Factor wrote above are meant to keep this page lively.

If these were really people they would as Cecilia would say, "get an arguemnt".

Their is a lot of quantity posting going on here on the right by the same person or persons.

Let's chronicle the unflattering articles on Olby as well as the responses from our grand hero:

NY Daily News: "Principles Keith can swear by"
    Keith's resonse: None

NY Daily News: "It's 'Putdown with Keith Olbermann"
    Keith's resonse: None

NY Post: "Keith gets low ratings in bed"
    Keith's resonse: None

Jossip.com: "Keith Olbermann Prefers You Don't Read the Comments in KarmaBites' Blog"
    Keith's response: None

And of course the blog "forthisreliefmuchthanks.com," which Keith did not respond to.

Now Levin rehashes all this in a hugely public attack, he makes sure Keith hears it, and now Olby is mysteriously absent from the studio?

Hmmmmmm . . . why is Olby so quiet on these matters yet so vocal in his attacks on so many people from the Meltdown pulpit? Could all the dirty stories be true? Could Krazy Keith be staring at his navel crying as I type this?

Their is a lot of quantity posting going on here on the right by the same person or persons.

Posted by: at February 5, 2007 10:36 PM

Sorta makes you think...ehhhh....what did you say your name is?...

    Indi,

If Clinton backhanded Chris Wallace then Lynn Cheney bitch slapped little Wolfie Blitzer.

Since Levin is hung up on Keith's penis size, it must be fair game to guess at his. Maybe 3?

To the coward at 10:27 pm
I though cowards like you were all hiding out in France, but any time there is a chance to take the United States down the path of socialism, you pop up like roaches. Answer me this question; do you actually think anyone with half a brain is going to vote for Hillary Clinton? You can't be that dumb? I doesn't matter who the Republicans put up, they are going to win in a landslide. The only people who are going to vote for Hillary are the Socialist and the incredibly stupid. Get ready for another 8 years of the Republican Party
    party.

Colbert killed at the correspondents dinner last year.
Bush and the wingnuts didn't know what hit them.

Posted by: at February 5, 2007 10:32 PM

Exactly and what did the Fox News do the following week? Tried to tell their audience he bombed. Yea right, they wish.

The most arrogant thing Billo ever did was think he could match wits with Colbert and do a swap on each other's show. Again Colbert kicked royal ass.

O'lielly could debate a real person like John Stewart or Steven Colbert. Billo is nothing more than sensationalist who constantly plays the hero figure. And the fools who look up him are of course the sorry saps who need a hero.

Well after last November you would think these pathetic saps would learn and look else where for hero's.

My life is pure pleasure as long as I can watch an hour a night of Stewart/Colbert

Could Krazy Keith be staring at his navel crying as I type this?

Posted by: KfK at February 5, 2007 10:38 PM

Well, his navel would be the one he found attractive.

    C --

You should have asked, "which navel?"

"I doesn't matter who the Republicans put up, they are going to win in a landslide..."

yep just like you said they would last Nov 7th, you're joke man.

Hillary has already won with people like you as representative of Republicans.

Please, you are a pathetic loser. Socialism? You equate anyone wants American tax dollars to go American people instead of multinational corporations as socialists.

You are obviously a student of right-wing radio and Rush Limbaugh.

Not what I would call the mainstream who booted out the Republican congress last November.

    You're pathetic!

Well, his navel would be the one he found attractive.

Posted by: Cecelia at February 5, 2007 10:44 PM

So now you are going to lower yourself to the level of penis envy like the children who came up with this theme?

I guess the captain of this crew is with her men on this one!

    Intellectual discourse of OW right-wingers

Rico, I agree with you. Blitzer (dumbass) needs to stay away from the Cheney family. They humiliate him for sport.

The Factor- You're a little bit on the "dim" side I see. Do you have to unzip your fly to count to eleven? For the record- Hillary sucks. She's very smart, but I find it unlikely that she'll be the Democratic nominee in 08. Whoever wins the presidential will be against this STUPID WAR IN IRAQ.

Now you cowards are trying to say Colbert and Stewart are news since your hero Keith is now know as the one inch killer. The Factor beats both Colbert and Stewarts show in ratings. You dumb asses think it is some great accomplishment that Colbert made fun of Bush at the White House correspondents’ dinner. News flash dumb asses, Colbert was brought there to make fun of the president, by the president. It's funny that the only traction you asseholes get is with comedy. Everything liberals say is a joke. Stick you finger in the wind politics at its finest.

Well, his navel would be the one he found attractive.

Well, it ain't 100K falafels but our discourse hasn't yet risen to the expense account of an MSNBC NEWS show.

Hillary will win, she has already been chosen by the same power structure who chose Bush.

    We have no democracy anymore.

Hillary will win and fund the war until Iraqi oil is pumping enough to break OPEC and bring down the price oil enough to get a return on the trillion dollars we will have spent by then.

This war is beyond walking away from, Bush has bet our future on it. The mess we are in is a do or die situation. Why else would most of the true conservative (not the Fox News faking droids) hate Bush right now?

Hillary will win in the same manner won twice - a fixed election. The matter has already been decided!

"The Factor beats both Colbert and Stewarts show in ratings."

Britney Spears has sold more albums than Marvin Gaye, so if I use your logic this should mean she's produced a higher quality product.

Well, it ain't 100K falafels but our discourse hasn't yet risen to the expense account of an MSNBC NEWS show.

Not comparable. This page is pathetic. Any man knows (you're out of the loop on this one) that guys who resort to penis size as a way to bring another guy down are guys who have nothing else left.

Nothing says Olbermann is a tough nut to crack better than his detractors resorting to penis size as a way to bring him down.

Very funny! These losers love white trash like Spears and probably think she is a good Christian who is better than Marvin Gay!

Good analogy, total idiots think ratings mean squat when most of the people watching Fox are uneducated hicks or fake Christians who were born to have others tell them how to think.

    f---ing idiots!

Factor: "since your hero is now know as the one inch killer".

Are you are referring to Keith Olbermann's DICK SIZE? If so, what are you, some kind of sleaze? And you think THAT might have something to do with the question of Keith's integrity?

If you think THAT is important, then your brain size is clearly far more pathetic than Olbermann's dick size!

"Colbert was brought there to make fun of the president, by the president."

Then I guess Iraq invited us to come and destroy their country too.

( PS, Bush was rather pissed at Colbert, at least the 30% of the jokes he got )

Getting back to the Factor's absurd earlier claim.
2300 scientists from 130 countries came to the total opposite conclusion as the Factor on global warming.
Let that sink in a minute.
And then let's all have a giant group laugh at the Factor !

indierik, that is the dumbest statement I have ever heard. Did you pay an imbecile to write that? You are comparing Marvin Gaye to Stewart and Colbert? How dumb are you? People watch The Factor because it provides a conservative view point that people are starved for. Colbert and Stewart pump out the same left wing propaganda that Letterman, Leno, and Mahar pump out. You fools are losing your media and you can't stand it.

Dick size is the going rate for the chicken shit guys who post all this shit under four or five fake names. It is all about them feeling humiliated by the scathing ass kicking from the left wingers who visit this page and has nothing to do with KO.

Let's face it. People like Mike, Indierik and myself have left these simpletons with nothing but dick size to go on.

A real pathetic group of humiliated desperado's!

Did you know that the Factor said he is a climate scientist in Canada?

And tomorrow he'll be a cowboy out on the range in Wyoming.

"indierik, that is the dumbest statement I have ever heard. Did you pay an imbecile to write that? You are comparing Marvin Gaye to Stewart and Colbert? How dumb are you?"

Hey Factor, look up the word "irony" in the dictionary.

Well, I may be "out of the loop" when it comes to what men think is a pathetic last ditch effort, but I'm certainly in the loop when it comes to female pillow talk. Levin was gleefully quoting an eye-witness who blogs by the name of Karma.

And who is more deserving of having the universe return to him the concern and interest he's so generously meted out, than our 100k falafel guy Keith.

Thanks, Karma! With Levin around I'm pretty sure we'll be hearing from other sistahs...

I think he posted the author at the end. He should have done this at the beginning of such a long piece but he like to plagiarise and leave himself an out when you call him on it.

Anyone who thinks Terry Schiavo was about to wake up and resume her life would also think a periodic cooling can counter green house gases that have been building up for more than 200 years and are very slow to leave our atmosphere.

A totally stupid post by a so-called climatologist who has the respect of zero of his peers!

I loved it too! I'll use it the next time I hear about how K.O. ratings are on the increase!

    Karma is probably Ann Coulterite

Keith Olbermann's ratings are good, his schtick is working, and his profile is rising and rising. When he started he was a three-day substitute who parlayed lucky timing and a strong performance into a four-year contract. Now he's MSNBC's newest rising star. So he's probably earned an upgrade. But can he really go anywhere? It's a good guess that Fox isn't beating down that door (right, Irina Briganti?) and there's been no buzz about him going elsewhere (unlike, say, Anderson Cooper at 60 Minutes). The LAT article doesn't mention it but this summer's NYT profile by Bill Carter traces Olbermann's volatile work history, including sore spots recently at MSNBC (like calling co-worker Rita Cosby "dumber than a suitcase of rocks" and sending nasty emails to a fan). Then again, Olbermann was just named one of GQ's "Men of the Year" (which earned the magazine the opprobrium of a fuming O'Reilly as a result), and, well, there are those ratings (which have been eating into O'Reilly's, as Olbermann is only too happy to point out). So, the upshot for Olbermann and MSNBC seems to be, really, that they both need each other. That, of course, doesn't make for the most effective hardball negotiations — but recognized and appreciated by both sides, it can sure make for a fine feeling of family.

No, Karma is Cecelia, that explains the whole story.

Go ahead and laugh your butt off, Levin. She's a valid eye-witness and witness to the suave and debonir Olbermann....

"Keith Olbermann's ratings are good, his schtick is working, and his profile is rising and rising..."

Like I said, typical rightwingers, always after the sex lives of other people because they have none of their own.

KO's interest in O'lielly's ordeal was totally legit after 8 years of chasing Bill Clinton about his sex life.

Can you guys get anymore pathetic?

Oh yea that would be Mark Foley and that super church guy who liked to do speed and muscle bound men at the same time.

You tell me the last time anyone on the left reduced themselves to judging people by their sexual behavior when it had nothing to do with a justified attack simply because the person being attacked was a hypocrite about this subject.

Mark Foley - champion of legislation to protect children on-line

Cheney - leader of the Christian right who relentlessly attack the gay and lesbian communities. His daughter "off limits".

Bill O'lielly, holier than tho number one rated spokesman for Fox the mouth piece of the Christian right agenda - hero to all Christians in the most holier than tho style is out writing cheap sex "novels" and sexually harassing his employees.

Comparing Keith Olbermann is not possible. MSNBC is not the unashamed mouth piece of the morally superior holier than children of God.

That is Fox territory and they and Billo justifiably deserve to be called on the carpet in the same way Cheney's two faced daughter does.

I don't recall Mary out on the front lines fighting for the right of gay couples to have or adopt children. Low life two faced hypcrites!

A bunch of two faced hypocrites and you Cecilia are the worst simply because you are smart enough to know better.

You have no standard other than point scoring?

Bush is polling lower than getting kicked in the balls.

    Speaking of Mary Cheney:

"This is a baby. This is a blessing from God. It is not a political statement." Mary Cheney on the subject of her pregnancy, New York Times, February 2, 2007

Poor Mary. Poor, poor Mary. So deluded. So much in denial.

Mary Cheney, the expecting lesbian daughter of our sitting Vice-President, is about to have a blessed event.
She's right in that such an event is a blessing. She's crazy if she thinks politics won't affect the life of her child.

Mary's daughter is about to be born into a family that, from the point of view of the law, doesn't exist. She will be born in a state, Virginia, where the Constitution forbids legal recognition of her family. Why? Because of politics.

Luckily Dick's grandchild comes from a family that has enough money to afford lawyers who can draft agreements to circumvent some of the obstacles that Grandpa's party's politics have put in her family's way. But those fancy documents won't shield her from the other kids at school who will single her out because of who her parents are. I knew a student like this once, a daughter of a lesbian who came to me when I was teaching to start a club to do something about homophobia at our school because, as she put it, "I'm tired of hearing my family get put down around this school." She called it a Gay-Straight Alliance, and it was the first one in the country (there are now more than 3,000 registered with GLSEN). Little Cheney may not have access to such a club, however, because of politics, as the Virginia state legislature has already given preliminary approval to a bill aimed at strangling GSA's out of existence.

Maybe the Cheney's wealth will offer a measure of protection against politics here as well, by paying for tuition to a private school where these issues are dealt with more sensitively (Buy the t-shirt now: Little Cheney, Georgetown Day School, class of 2025!). But at some point the question of moral responsibility has to arise. The Biblical admonition "To whom much is given, much will be expected" suggests that we should expect more out of privileged LGBT people like Mary Cheney than they just buy themselves a measure of protection against the bigotry their less-fortunate peers have no choice but to endure. Not that wanting to protect your child is bad - it's good - but you should also want every other parent's child to have the same things as your child has. It's only fair. And Mary just doesn't seem to care.

This isn't a fight where neutrality is an option, Mary. As Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel has said, "Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." Whether you like it or not, politics does play a role here. So get with the program.

I wish Mary's fantasy, that we could ignore politics, were true. But her baby will find out that her Mom is just deluded soon enough. Children of the "Greatest Generation" routinely asked their Dads "What did you do during the war?" As Antonin Scalia and Pat Buchanan are so fond of pointing out, we're in a cultural war right now over whether or not LGBT people are entitled to the same level of dignity and respect as other Americans. Some day little Cheney is going to ask, "What did you do during the war, Mom?" Mary (to date) has sat on the sidelines - helping the oppressor. Too bad some day little Cheney will realize her Mom could have been part of the solution, but instead obstinately stuck her head in the sand over and over and thus was just part of the problem. I hope little Cheney can some day forgive her.

dangerously close to Nixon's all-time low of 24 percent.

People say this a lot. If Nixon had Fox News his ratings would never have slipped this low. Their is no comparison.

Nixon was not anywhere near as hated as Bush. Bush is devil incarnate. All one need recognise is who brought him to power? The Christian right. The wolves in sheep clothes. The true evil of our culture is here as it is in the middle east:

    Religious fundamentalist !

Just think Cecilia's, Factor, Benson and Cee's main man, Bush, has a lower rating than stepping in dog shit.

You hate christians more than the Islamist who would cut your head off and bomb you with nukes. You are truly deluted. Nothing would give liberals more pleasure than to see Muslims round up christians and take them away. What they don't realize is that the muslims will take them away also. You liberals can let the islamic monster run wild against the people you hate, but what happens when your monster turns on you?

Remember that 46 other countries in the world have clued in about climate change and are now taking measures to try to stem back the potential damage. Do American corporations take responsibility for their part in global warming? No, their answer to the greatest threat to mankind (and their ultimate bottom line, come to that) is to offer a bribe to scientists to buck the overwhelming avalanche of evidence and deny man's involvement in global warming.

Scientists and economists have been offered $10,000 each by a lobby group funded by one of the world's largest oil companies to undermine a major climate change report due to be published today.

Letters sent by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), an ExxonMobil-funded thinktank with close links to the Bush administration, offered the payments for articles that emphasise the shortcomings of a report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

Travel expenses and additional payments were also offered.

The UN report was written by international experts and is widely regarded as the most comprehensive review yet of climate change science. It will underpin international negotiations on new emissions targets to succeed the Kyoto agreement, the first phase of which expires in 2012. World governments were given a draft last year and invited to comment.

The AEI has received more than $1.6m from ExxonMobil and more than 20 of its staff have worked as consultants to the Bush administration. Lee Raymond, a former head of ExxonMobil, is the vice-chairman of AEI's board of trustees.

I truly think we need to pushback against this, loudly. I do not fear Bush's fabled "Islamofascist terrorists" coming to get me, but I'm scared to death to think what is being done in the name of arrogance, hubris and short term profits. These are our true terrorists, the ones who will absolutely change our lives and our world and not for the better. They should be exposed as the evil incarnate that they are.

You tell me the last time anyone on the left reduced themselves to judging people by their sexual behavior when it had nothing to do with a justified attack simply because the person being attacked was a hypocrite about this subject.

Bill Clinton who gave an interview to Mike Wallace before he was elected in 1990, and said he knew he had caused pain to his wife, but had learned and would never do so again.

Bill Clinton, who along with Hillary, had countered talk of legislation that would limit discovery processes in sexual harrassment suits. That same discovery process came to bite him in the butt when Paula Jones' attorneys used it to "discover" he was looking for love in all the worng places with low low lowest girl on the totem pole, Monica lewinsky. Establishing a pattern of using underlyings for sex is ground zero in any sexual harrassment suit. (Lewinsky was later taken to an attorney by Clinton friend Vernon Jordan, in order to sign an affidavit that was a lie. Later, then Ambassador to the U.N. Bill Richards --yes him... come to her apartment to PERSONALLY offer her a job... and Clinton later had his personal secretary, Betty Currie come in on the weekend before her Monday testimony to the grand jury, in order to "refresh" her memory that he and Lewinsky were never alone".... ALL THIS happened AFTER the Supreme Court ruled that Paula Jones had the right to sue Bill Clinton.

Everytime I read a post by the Factor, I feel like I just stepped in dogshit.

Well, you're argument is lovely in the sense that it's utterly revealing of your reasoning abilites, but I don't know how many folks would buy into your notion that only Fox News staffers and Republicans are worthy of having their dirty laundry aired, especially when we're talking about a guy who offered to pay 100K to air someone else's.

Bushkill, you are the terrorists best friend. Keep putting on you tin foil hat a looking for the men in black. Your tin had won't protect you when the Islamofascist are cutting your head off on the internet. You are the enemy within.

In the aftermath of the most deadly bombing since the US-led occupation of Iraq began, President Bush praises the Iraqi government for professing to care to keep its citizens alive (not, mind you, for doing anything to further that end). He said:

"I appreciate the fact that the Iraqi government is anxious to get security inside the capital of the country . . That is a good sign.
It is a good sign that there is a sense of concern and anxiety. It means that the government understands they have a responsibility to protect their people."

It is a "good sign" that Iraqi officials are distressed by mass carnage in broad daylight in the country's capital? Talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Bushkill, you are the terrorists’ best friend. Keep putting on your tin foil hat a looking for the men in black, skull and bones, and free masons. Your tin hat won't protect you when they are cutting your head off on the internet. You are the enemy within.

    Cecelia,

So you are reduced to law and lawsuits as an example comparable to Keith Olbermann going after the hypocrisy of Billo?

You can't sight a single time someone on the left passed moral judgment on a person on the right for their sexual behavior.

This legal and legislative stuff does go to the heart of sexual harassment but it is eons away from the heart of the discussion here. It is not hypocrisy of any kind that we are talking about, it is the constant mantra of the right as being the moral and ethical party when they are anything but.

Now if you want to say Bill Clinton called Paula Jones not just a paid liar who was put up to making these charges at the height of an election and she was the person running against but he called her a lose whore who had sex with animals, then perhaps I would say you have found a comparable level that are commonly attributed to Republicans!

The Factor has bought into the Bush's scare tactics of the terrorists.

You put such importance on majority opinion...are you saying that the majority is for gay marriage now?

Let me suggest to you too, that calling a daughter a "hypocrite", when she might not see eye-to-eye with her father, but still loving him, and wanting to protect him from rabid enemies, and his loving her too, but not agreeing with some things...well, let's just say this may be a bit more complex and more common historically, than the likes of you can understand, or treat in any matter other than the way you do. But I'd venture to say that Mary Cheney would cast her lot with the father who loves rather than the ideologue who would use her. I'd venture to say that there are quite a few, living and in the ground, who would understand that too.

Tin hat? What the hell is it with you Factor? Have you got anything but this tin-hat thing and the Islamo fascists are going to cut our heads off?

Can you expound on why these fascists hate us so bad that they would want to cut our heads off?

I don't think you can because Fox News never mentions why they hate us so bad and morally deficient people like you would never care to wonder why.

You sound like the pillow biting coward to me.

You put such importance on majority opinion...are you saying that the majority is for gay marriage now?

Majority? Gay Marriage? I fail to see what a majority has anything to do with winning and losing a cultural war. And who mentioned gay marriage? Not me.

Mary Cheney need not abandon her father at all. She can defend him and his evil ways all she wants. But for her to get up and pretend she some how is exempt from the outrage of such hypocrisy is total bullshit. Only Fox News idiots would accept this level of two faced 180 degree hypocrisy! And you seem to think you have painted it over well enough to almost believe your own bullshit about love between a father and a daughter. Their are plenty of parents of GLBT children who live in terror about the way their own culture rejects their children. They don't happen to have the power and privilege that Mary and Dick have.

No, he had James Carville do that. Carville said Jones was what responded when a $100 was waved around a trailer park.

Clinton had Sidney Blumenthal say the equivalent of Lewinsky before a grand jury. He met with Blumenthal just before he was to testify (as he did with Curie, look it up) and told him that Lewinsky had been stalking him. Blumenthal repeated this to the jury... surprise!

You have made Monica Lewinsky out to be a ditz who was manipulated. Monica was used by the rightwingers not Bill Clinton. Her name was dragged in the mud not by Bill Clinton but by Rupert Murdoch - Sean Hannity and Bill O'lielly.

My children were in grade school during this time and came home from school to tell me that every girl in school knew that it was cool to give oral sex. No pregnancy and the president does it in his office.

Then I see Sean Hannity on TV telling the viewing audience that Bill Clinton is responsible for bring the subject up on a national level to the point that all our children are learning about it at too young of an age.

Who plastered poor Monica's name all over the press? Bill Clinton? I don' think so. It was the sicko f---ing perverts on FOX and the rest of the rightwing hit machine.

You are so full of shit Cecilia to paint Monica as a victim. She was an adult involved in a private affair and never asked for you or any of the other parasites on the right to exploit her private sex life for political purposes or in your case to win an argument.

Is their no end to the delusional spin you right wingers are capable of????

I see you're getting to know Cecilia close and upfront !

If you are unable to recognize a compromise as basic and age-old as this, I doubt you're much of a parent, or even a parent at all.

Compromise? What compromise? She worked to get her father elected. She could have opted not to do to the fact that his politics would result in making her future child into a Frankenstein bastard of sorts in the eyes of his constituents and the laws he fought to make.

My children did not turn out to be gay thank god for I could not bare to live with both the evil of the Christian Right and a child vulnerable to their despicable attacks.

Mary Cheney deserves worst person in the world for bringing a child into a world she helped create to persecute him or her. I can't think of any person more fake than her except for her father - the true architect of the Iraqi war.

To be more precise, it was Bill Clinton who set up Monica Lewinsky to have her name come to public light. Even though he is an attorney and fully knew what a discovery process is, he did what most CEOs would not have dared, in that he started a sexual relationship with a much younger employee during the discovery process of a sexual harrassment suit.

His best friend, prominent attorney Vernon Jordan, had to convince Lewinsky to sign a false affadavit, in order not to be disposed in this legal (Clinton and his wife had already countered talk of legislation to limit the discovery processin such suits) process. During the false affadavit time, Ambassador to the U.N., Bill Richardson and Clinton backer, Ron Perlman (CEO of cosmetic giant Revlon) both personally offered lewinsky a job.

Lewinsky had talked about the affair to her friend Linda Tripp. Tripp was subpoenaed along with several other WH staffers, and Lewinsky then set-out to persuade Tripp to lie in deposition. Tripp taped the phone conversations. At one point, Lewinsky stated on tape that Tripp should fear for her life. That these weren't the sort of people to mess around with. Tripp handed the tapes over Kenneth Starr. Janet Reno and the DOJ later ruled the investigation should be managed by the special prosecutor.

I know Ceclia is smart enough to know she is making arguments to win a debate, not to establish what is right or wrong. She is the one who has to look in the mirror and debate if she likes what she sees.

I had a cousin who grew up secretly gay. When his religious mother found out she told him he was not her son and she shunned him. He was the most committed son a mother could have. He worshipped the ground she walked on. When his mother stuck to her feelings for several years he killed himself. He did this after reaching out to his brothers and sisters but none of them were sympathetic. They told him being gay was choice and he was creating all his own problems. They blamed him.

After he killed himself they agreed to never mention his name again.

This is the result of listening to religious leaders who are out to play god. This is what happens when a--holes rule your culture.

Who but the most ignorant of men pretend to speak for god?

Mary Cheney deserves worst person in the world for bringing a child into a world she helped create to persecute him or her. I can't think of any person more fake than her except for her father - the true architect of the Iraqi war.

It might be too that Mary Cheney has chosen her battles and knows her enemies, and wants to be a daughter rather than the cause of people who hate her father.

It might too that Mary Cheney knows her father loves her, will love her child, and still believes or at least respects current social mores.

She compromised for the man she loves and who loves her, rather than for the strangers who would hate no matter what, and love her only if she did too.

    And Bin Laden went free!

Too bad we didn't have Republican majority ran be good Christian men. They would never have chosen to put oral sex above the safety of the free world.

Our government was not always run this way. Men in office would never expose extra marital sex in this manner. This is the work of Neo-cons and their long term plans to grab Iraq.

Bush senior began the process and lost to an Arkansas governor. They were miffed and decided to destroy the president at any cost out of fear they would lose the window of opportunity to attack Iraq.

All you have written about how the Clinton's did what they had to do to survive politically in the atmosphere they were in was heroic on their part.

I do recall when it was all over. After the $70 million dollar investigation by Ken Star was over, Bill Clinton had the highest rating of any president in modern times. The nation was disgusted with all the public airing of mans private sex life.

The Christian right have continually been a force of evil in our nation. It easy to spot. They are the ones always pulling the cloth or purity over their heads.

Well, both Bush and Cheney have said they're for civil unions. They're against gay marriage but so are Johnn Kerry and Hillary Clinton.

"Too bad we didn't have Republican majority ran be good Christian men. They would never have chosen to put oral sex above the safety of the free world. "

They didnt' put oral sex above the safety of the free world. They held that perjury --- false affadvits, being misleading under oath and having your law license suspended.... and subborning perjury.... getting friends to offer Lewinsky jobs....to take her to your lawyer to sign a false affadavit....to call your secretary in on the Sunday before her testimony in order to refresh her memory in a lie.... was a crime worthy of impeachment....even if it happened in response of a lawsuit by a woman who was encouraged by political enemies.

She compromised for the man she loves and who loves her, rather than for the strangers who would hate no matter what, and love her only if she did too.

Posted by: Cecelia at February 6, 2007 1:17 AM

I think you read her article to closely? Do you have something in common with her? I would hate to be berating you if you do.

I feel confident that she was planning on having a child for a long time. A compromise for her father turned out to be a detriment for her future child.

My parents are die hard Republicans, I love them and they love me in a manner the Cheney's could not exceed. At no time have I ever supported my parents political beliefs.

Mary Cheney actively worked for her father to be vice president. She new what a Republican majority could result in in terms of acceptance of her future child in our nation.

Can there be no other word for this but hypocrite? I can not see how love for her father equates to working for his political successes that would undermine her child's acceptance into the world.

I hope you never have to be subjected to the kind of ignorance the Christian right unashamedly promotes.

You seem to know so much detail and down right history of this matter. Could it be that you know as much about any of the current indictments of the republican leadership?

Do you really think your investment into the detail of the Clinton's is your search for truth or a justification for putting all your intellectual skills into the promotion of Republican values?

If so I would expect that you would be a champion of such values and would be as learned of corrupt Republicans.

Example, can you tell me in equal detail the cover up by the Republican leadership that they knew about Mark Foley but couldn't bare to lose him if it meant losing the senate majority? Hastert lied through his teeth to the press.

How about Tom Delay and all the many criminal things he has done. You follow all that and go public at places like this to have him removed from office for giving the Republicans a bad name?

I find it rather odd that you know so much detail the Clinton's but seem to know nothing about Republican crimes. Could it be that you too are a hypocrite?

Clintons penchant for 'analingus' sickened me. It's all there in the Starr Report.

What are you not getting here? You are a meaningless minority. You no matter how much you would like it to change - it won't.

Now back to the topic at hand. I wonder if Hillary always has to be on top or if she just gave up penis years ago. Also I suspect Harry Reid has buried at least one hooker in his life. He is a dead ringer for the politican the Corleone family had to save in Godfather II.

The term Blumkin is when a man is sitting on the toilet taking a shit. And has his woman come in and give him head during the act of shitting.

"Bitch get your ass in here and give me a blumkin!"

    Roman Helmet

The art of placing your hairy sweaty nutsack on a rivals forhead. Then going in for the kill slapping down of the penis on the nose assuring victory. Also known as the "ender to all wars." Technique: Usually alcohol related 1. find the victim 2. ready the forces 3. engage the nutsack with the forehead 4. Drape shaft on nose 5. claim victory

    Cleveland Steamer

You take a dump on a lovers chest while or before titty f---ing (if that partner is a female.) Generally for the cacaphile only or as a domination and humiliation tool in BDSM games. See also Brown Showers. The steamer part is that it is very probably steaming from the freshness (Moisture rising from it) not to do with "steamrolling" it. Then it would have been called a "Cleveland Steamroller". It is probably named after Cleveland (Lucky us Clevelanders) because of the brown stripe left behind resembling the brown stripe on the orange Cleveland Browns Football Helmet. If you squish it down and then you spooge on it for syrup it becomes a "Boston Pancake". Don't know the origin of Boston in refernce to that act.

    Donkey Punch

Whilst participating in either vaginal or anal ‘doggy style’ intercourse, during the instant before the male ejaculates, the penis is inserted (or kept) in the female's anus, at which point he delivers a swift punch to the back of the female’s cranium. This results in the simultaneous contraction of the anal sphincter and various other muscles in the female, thus producing a tremendous sensation for the male. However, for the technique to render successful, the receiving party must be knocked utterly unconscious.

“I was banging this one night and I donkey punched the bitch so hard she passed out!”
    “What happened after that?”
    “I fell asleep. What else?”

when is KO going to realize that he will NEVER beat any news reporter on Fox, not Brit Hume, Shep, Hannity, and certainly not Bill O. I think even the 5 viewers that he does have are starting to realize that this guy is nuts and ultra biased, not to mention that he was forced to resign from ESPN years ago for a sexual lawsuit a woman threw at him. Maybe she was suing him for thinking his pecker was more than 2 inches.

What is this? It looks like a site where neoconservatives fantasize about Keith Olbermann.

    Personally, I don't care for levin...I think he's a loudmouth bully.

However, it's Keith who has opened this can of worms by delving into other people's personal lives and using that as a source of (alleged humor.)

His one-way feud with Bill O'Reilly is one example. How about some of the comments Keith has made about the appearance and personal life of Ann Coulter (adam's apple, anyone?)

If a conservative commentator made the sort of comments regarding a liberal, female commentator that Keith has made about Coulter, he would be run of out of the business. But, there is that double standard, you know.

So, while Keith is getting his come-uppance, but I still wish Levin would leave well-enough alone. Most of us have had it with Keith's diva routine, and he plays the victims so well.
At a time when his contract negotiations with MSNBC aren't going well and they're trying to bump him to CNBC, this allows him to play the victim and bring (more) attention to himself.

    SICK, VERY SICK REPUBLICANS!

Coulter is a special case because she is garbage. Even if it is an act--especially if it is an act--she deserves far worse than she has ever received.

The most amusing part of this website is seeing how many different names Keith Olbermann and his friend can use to combat the critics.

The most amusing part of this website is seeing how few actual flaws you girls can find with Olbermann...

    Chili Dog

a form of male masturbation. The male grabs his erect penis with one hand and tucks it between his legs, pushing in his scrotum. He keeps pushing his penis until it reaches his anus. Once inside his anus, he pushes his ecrect penis in and out continually until he has to take a shit.

"I find it rather odd that you know so much detail the Clinton's but seem to know nothing about Republican crimes. Could it be that you too are a hypocrite?"

That's Cecilia's MO. No matter how much she verbally masturbates about democratic "crimes", she has tunnel vision when it comes to the "culture of corruption" surrounding her republicans.
    The "H" word fits her to a T !
Even though her first barb at liberals is how partisan they are, there is not a more partisan poster at this site than she.

    Pink Sock

After anal penetration when the males member or device is removed from the anus the inner anal passageway folds out surrounding the extracted shaft and exposing the inner side of the anus. The pink socks appear's like folds of pink skin hangin out of the a--hole. It slightly resembales a pink sock hangin out of the a--hole .also known as a pink shit

    Hot Lunch - My Favorite

This involves making a small pocket inside your partners mouth (Probably with cling film etc) then fill it with a small amount of poo. Then as you are about to bolt after f---ing your partners mouth, thrust really hard and break through the poo-pocket thus filling her mouth with spunk and poo milkshake: Hence a "Hot Lunch" Simple really.

Mac: "Hey Soph, You wanna have a Hot Lunch today?" (He he he)

oops, that last one was from me.

Jill, it is funny to see anyone defending Olbermann with a reference to TRUTH, given that you will hear none of it on his show.

    Bushkill,

You sick freak, I was wondering who was posting all this crap.

    Kissel writes:

"A spineless group of Republican senators, joined by the similarly spineless Holy Joe (I-D, WT-FP-PS, Ct.), refusing to allow even discussion on the most important issue of our time."

In the tradition of his pseudo journalist hero, the mentally ill Olbermann, Kissel distorts and leaves out important facts. Kissel fails to mention that Republicans wanted to include discussion of a third resolution offered by Sen. Gregg that took no position on the withdrawal of troops but specifically stipulated that funds would not be cut off for the troops. Dems would not permit discussion to go forward under these conditons because they feared some of thier members would support the Gregg resolution and splinter their party.

    Kissel is a joke.

Forget it Hank, Kissel left. He'll never read your message.

I scared him off with the poopy talk.

What do you think? Sexy - no?

I turned on this blog this morning to see someone using my 'Mike' moniker to say something I would never say (10:50 AM).

Funny thing is that I really don't know if this is an honest post by a new user, or someone who has intentionally hijacked my name?

It would be nice if Johnny or Robert could do something about that. Would it be practical to make it impossible to use a name that is already taken? While your thinking about that, would it also be possible to make it impossible to post anonamously?

I'm pretty appalled by it. It just goes to show how far some of you will go to denegrade KO.

Seriously, your name is Mike and you think you are the only one?

Well, Mike every five or six hundred posts we seem to converge and agree.

By its nature posting on the net is anonymous. But being limited to one definable user name makes it a bit less anonymous. And things seem to be getting out of hand here more frequently. And much more viciously.

I second your proposals and add another one. Some standards would be welcome to keep those who think its cute to carry on like the poster from 10:36 to 10:50.

"it just goes to show how far some of you will go to denegrate KO" (Bushkill 11:04 AM).

THAT is what fascinates me as well. I've been coming here for months and still don't have a clue what would motivate seemingly ordinary people with their own lives to live, to spend SO much time just trying to trash a TV commentator?

Well, Mike, that didn't last long. You really believe that extreme denigration is the sole purview of OW fans?

If so, you might want to start using the right side of your brain in conjunction with the left side.

Why is it so hard for you to understand that this is his format, and he's doing very nicely with it , thank you.

    Actually Janet:

It should have been obvious to you but I see that it wasn't that I was not really referring to posters such as yourself with my comment.

While I'm aware you don't like KO, I haven't seen you spend inordinate amounts of time trashing the man himself. Instead you, like me, seem to prefer discussing the issues being raised on the show.

I was specifically referring to the ridiculous filth laden personal attacks that occur here over and over again, not that Johnny didn't encourage that sort of crap by glorifying some fool on the radio who has no more personal honor than to refer to someone's penis size, for God's sake!

    Rusty Trombone

The act of performing anal cunnilingus while reaching up above the testicles to manually administer quick up and down motions to the penile shaft; resulting in a violent yet pleasant explosion. It is then customary for the female to then give a quick blow into the anus for good luck, the lips blowing into the anus sounds very similar to a trombones sweet melody. This was introduced to the Americas in the late 50's.

Mike, where we split is that KO is a public figure. As such he fires off a lot of vicious insults to others and is fair game from other public figures firing back at him. He is also fair game for harsh criticism from the public on sites such as this.

That is quite different from the personal viciousness that oozes out of some of the posters here. You don't have to look any further than today, and thats not counting the last week or two.

I hope Kurt Kissel hasn't let some savage run him off.

We don't HAVE to read posts. I stop at the first sentence when I see it's just some creepy perv going for shock value.

The name pilfering thing is more complicated. I suppose the only thing that can be done there is to know that when someone says something out-of-character or shocking in a way we haven't seen before, the post is probably from an impostor.

But I think the smartest thing we can all do is to NOT take any of this terribly seriously in the first place. Even with all the political heat and the occasional uncouth slimeball, most of the people here are the sort of peeps we see every day, who behave cordially in person and are just normal everyday folks.

Everybody rock on and have fun waxing profound on the internet, as my husband calls it.

Benson, thanks. Glad to be back, I think.

So many people, especially the young AND immature ones don't think that older people were ever young, foolish and had and have lives including, gasp, sex lives.

But that doesn't mean that I want to wade through the trail of slime they leave.

If not this one, it will be another one. Just think back to Coward and Rat.

THOSE SHAMELESS REPUBLICANS ARE AT IT AGAIN

Today, the Republicans in the U.S. Senate prevented the American people from hearing a real debate about the president's policy of escalating the war in Iraq. Senator John Warner of Virginia voted to deny debate on his own resolution. That is not only intellectually dishonest, it's despicable.

Speaking of despicable, Joe Lieberman voted to deny a debate on the issue.
Did he forget that he lost his party's nomination because of his views on this subject? Is he so politically tone deaf that he doesn't realize that nearly 80% of the nation feels that escalation is a bad idea?

Republicans Norm Coleman of Minnesota and Susan Collins of Maine voted with the Democrats on the measure. That's because they are among the most vulnerable Republican incumbents in the 2008 election cycle. Senator Collins admitted that the Senate Republican Caucus had a contentious meeting with Vice President Cheney. So, it appears that, because of pressure from the White House (with a current approval rating that ranks right up there with cancer!) many of the Senators who oppose the war in Iraq voted to deny any discussion on the matter. Where were people like Olympia Snowe, Chuck Hagel, and Gordon Smith?

Today's vote was absolutely WOEFUL. It makes me ashamed of the Senate. I worked for that institution for six and a half years. It was always the place of reason and debate. Today, debate was silenced. It's tragic. It's what Republicans are all about.

The people who care about our troops and their families will continue to press for a debate about the policy that brought us into an unjustified war. We will also advocate for the best and quickest way to get our fellow Americans out of that unjustified war.

This was written by Lane Hutson who broke the Mark Foley scandal. For his role in bringing to light the inappropriate behavior of Mark Foley and the subsequent fall out which affected the 2006 Midterm Election, Lane was profiled as a Time Magazine Person of the Year as an example of the new power of average citizens in the Information Age. The Advocate Magazine also recognized Lane as a Person of the Year.

It's outrageous. After saying they wanted to join Democrats, Senate Republicans now are filibustering the anti-escalation resolution—dodging the first vote on the war since the election. They know the American people are fed up. And they know the president is wrong. But they still won't take a stand.

Republicans wanted to include discussion of a third resolution offered by Sen. Gregg that took no position on the withdrawal of troops but specifically stipulated that funds would not be cut off for the troops. Dems would not permit discussion to go forward under these conditons because they feared some of thier members would support the Gregg resolution and splinter their party.

Its called politics. The debate was just an extension of the 'non-binding resolution.' The republicans decided they'd rather take the heat for stopping it, rather than listen to the Democrats climb on their soap boxes for the next two weeks and chastise the president. It was non-binding for cripes sake. It forces the Dems to play the 'cut-funding' card. (See Cee posts for past 3 weeks) I hate this bullshit when either side does it... but how does it feel? The fillibusters for the past four years have been insane.

Brazing and soldering are two of the world’s oldest joining processes. During the past 50 years, ASSEMBLY magazine has devoted extensive coverage to each topic. In fact, when the publication debuted in October 1958, it contained a feature entitled “High Temperature Brazing.” The article examined how new types of filler metals were being developed for evolving applications, such as jet engines and rockets.

At the time, brazing and soldering were manual operations with handheld torches, typically acetylene, used to heat the parts being joined. Indexing dial machines were just coming on the scene, carrying fixtured parts to natural gas or propane-fired torches.

Early articles in ASSEMBLY touted the benefits of automation. For instance, the January 1959 issue contained a feature entitled “Auto Heater Tank Brazing.” It explained how an automatic gas-fired silver brazing machine cut costs and improved joint quality for automotive heaters manufactured by the Blackstone Corp. (Jamestown, NY).

According to the company’s production superintendent, the automatic operation of the nine-station, self-indexing machine “assures uniformly brazed joints by stabilizing all significant variables. One man produces as much with this machine as five men did by the old hand torch method.” The machine also took up less space than the manual brazing operation.

In addition to automation, the advent of copper brazing as a low-cost method of joining carbon steel helped spur numerous applications in the 1950s. At the same time, silver brazing emerged as the preferred method of joining dissimilar metals.

“Over the last 50 years, brazing has grown and spread into many various applications,” says Bob Peaslee, vice president emeritus of Wall Colmonoy Corp. (Madison Heights, MI). “The advancement in continuous furnace design has led to the brazing of stainless steels in a protective atmosphere, so the brazement comes out of the furnace bright and clean without the use of flux. This has increased production. The introduction of vacuum furnaces also improved quality and reduced cost.”

Peaslee has been involved in brazing since the 1940s, when he was a welding engineer at Curtiss-Wright Jet Engine Co. (Woodridge, NJ), where he developed nickel brazing filler metal. “I worked with the rocket engine manufacturers to introduce them to furnace brazing, and they took off from there,” he recalls.

Indeed, the Space Age fueled rapid advancement in brazing and soldering technology. In the early 1960s, President John F. Kennedy boldly promised that the United States would land a man on the moon by the end of the decade.

Fulfilling that proclamation required manufacturers and suppliers to develop “more stringent quality requirements on all types of joining processes,” says Paul Vianco, principle member of the technical staff at the Materials and Process Sciences Center at Sandia National Laboratories (Albuquerque, NM). For instance, thin honeycomb panels were used to provide strong, lightweight fuselage structures.

An article in the July 1960 issue of ASSEMBLY explained how brazing was used to produce the supersonic XB-70 Valkyrie high-altitude bomber. The groundbreaking aircraft, which featured hinged delta wings, was designed to fly 2,000 mph at altitudes ranging from 15 to 20 miles.

“Two years ago, [the aircraft] could not have been built,” noted the magazine’s West Coast editor, who described the challenges faced by engineers at North American Aviation Inc. (Downey, CA). Strength requirements and manufacturing tolerances “exceeded anything that had ever been attempted before [to assemble an aircraft that is] as strong as a bridge and as precise as a fine watch.”

Transforming that challenge into a production reality involved “one of the most comprehensive and concerted manufacturing efforts ever attempted by American industry.” The ASSEMBLY article claimed that four methods of brazing were developed or refined for use in the ambitious project. Special inspection techniques also had to be created.

A major challenge was caused by the large amount of stainless steel, honeycomb sandwich panels used throughout the aircraft. The specifications and size of the panels exceeded any that had been used before in the aerospace industry. Sheet stock used to create the brazed honeycomb panels measured 0.006 inch thick and was “harder to handle than paper.”

Because of the thousands of feet of ducting needed for the aircraft’s six jet engines, engineers also were forced to develop new brazing techniques for joining tubes. For instance, a remote induction-heating coil was used, which saved “considerable weight over the older method of using flanged bolt couplings in the tube joining” process.

According to Peaslee, vacuum brazing furnaces did not arrive until the late 1960s. By then, NASA had accomplished its moon mission, and automation was widely used for numerous brazing and soldering applications.

For example, an article in the March 1969 issue of ASSEMBLY described how fuel system subassemblies were soldered automatically at AC Spark Plug Co. (Flint, MI). The company, a division of General Motors Corp. (GM, Detroit), turned out up to 25 different designs and variations daily for a wide variety of vehicles, such as the Buick Riviera sedan, which featured air conditioning and power windows.

The plant had been using fully automatic soldering machines since the early 1960s. However, the ASSEMBLY article focused on a new machine that was designed and built in-house. It differed from the older machines in that it had the capability for two complete soldering operations.

The GM engineering department built a turntable that could hold 36 fixtures vs. 24 on the older machines. As a result, the various soldering phases—dispensing, preheating, soldering, cooling, cleaning and drying—were performed on two parts at once. That dual processing capability provided greater production flexibility.

Consumer demand for air conditioning in the 1960s and 1970s created new applications for brazing technology. “The high volume brazing of aluminum, which began in the late 1970s, led to many assemblies found in today’s automotive air conditioning systems,” notes Gene Stout, regional sales manager at Fusion Inc. (Willoughby, OH), who has been in the industry for more than 30 years

“Today, aluminum-brazed components can also be found on cellular phone towers, cookware heating elements, bicycle components and musical percussion heads,” Stout points out. “Orthodontic brace pads are typically brazed in atmosphere furnaces with nickel-silver filler metals.”

“Some people regard brazing as a mature manufacturing process with a diminishing influence in the future,” notes Ken Allen, technical sales manager at Bellman-Melcor Inc. (Tinley Park, IL). “Nothing is further from the truth. There are thousands of distinct applications for brazing.”

Many new applications have developed over the last few years, such as the brazing of ceramics and nonmetallics. “The future of brazing is in applying the universal scientific principles that govern brazing to countless new material joining possibilities,” he points out.

For instance, Allen says brazing alloys have been developed for use in joining titanium. In addition, new technology is available for use with atmosphere induction and rotary flame heating systems. Assemblies produced by these systems require little or no post-braze cleaning, which alleviates environmental issues with brazing technology.

“Brazing’s long history of producing leak-proof assemblies that last a lifetime, resist high service temperatures, and withstand difficult environments give it a solid future as a metal joining technique,” predicts Fusion’s Stout.

The popularity of solder has waxed and waned as different attachment methods were developed over the last 50 years. “Competing technologies, such as laser and ultrasonic welding, have had their 5 minutes of fame with those convinced that soldering is a second best method,” says John Vivari, applications engineering supervisor at EFD Inc. (East Providence, RI). “That said, solder is in much wider use today than 50 years ago.

“Advancements in flux chemistry and heating techniques have opened the door for solder into applications where it would never have been considered before,” adds Vivari. “In addition, advancements in solder paste dispensing have allowed for high-speed automation of soldering that is not possible with other solder forms. Time is money, and the fastest method has a distinct advantage in today’s economy.”

The rising cost of raw materials has diminished the popularity of soldering for price-sensitive applications, such as automotive radiators. But, the higher thermal transfer efficiency of soldering has boosted interest in the joining process for other industrial applications.

“New fields are opening up, such as heat sink soldering, soldering of superconductor cable, magnet wire soldering, and some indirect soldering operations supporting the electronics field,” says Bill Avery, industrial product manager at Kester Solder (Itasca, IL). “One of the outgrowths of the expansion in the electronics field is the use of a far more controllable soldering method instead of torches and hotplates.”

According to Sandia’s Vianco, a big area that is currently receiving attention is solar cells, which need reliability in harsh outdoor environments. In addition, Vianco predicts that fuel cells may rely upon soldering in the future for electrical buses and some structural applications.

“As the science of soldering becomes better understood, we are seeing soldering considered for applications that would not have been addressed without the know-how that is coming to light,” explains Vianco. “For example, soldering may be an alternative to an adhesively bonded joint when a higher strength is required, when outgassing cannot be tolerated, or when adhesion problems plague the glue joint. Soldering is becoming ‘the other option,’ not only for consumer products, but for high-reliability military, space and avionic applications.”

    How pathetic!!!!!!!!! How funny!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way has anybody found those two copy's of "Culture Warrior" for $25?

Oh well, Olby and his defenders can just call themselves 'Mathematically Challenged Victims'.

I wonder if Keith The victim will show up on Dan Patrick's show today?

It's radio, Keith can do it from under his desk.

"If you want a debate, turn to Hardball or Meet the Press. Why is it so hard for you to understand that this is his format, and he's doing very nicely with it , thank you."

Everybody understands that the one sided cheerleading for the left fringe is Olbermann's chosen format. The element that I have continually emphasized here on OW is why does Orange Boy choose this format? His own words tell you all you need to know. From an interview with the San Bernadino County Sun, March, 2006:

"Having both sides politically debating a point adds nothing to the political discourse; plus, it makes me queasy."

There it is-- fear. Olbermann doesn't want debate because he cannot defend his wacky, click and rip off the blue blogs distortions. He does not want to be held accoutable because he is a coward. And this is your modern day Murrow, Olbyloons?

Let's just shut this thing down. Its disgusting.

"Today's vote was absolutely WOEFUL. It makes me ashamed of the Senate. I worked for that institution for six and a half years. It was always the place of reason and debate. Today, debate was silenced. It's tragic. It's what Republicans are all about."

Today debate was silenced by the MINORITY DEMANDING that the DEBATE BE ENLARGED to include additional options.

Spin at its finest. Who knows what would happen in an open debate with multiple options. Some Dems might, shudder, embrace an option not approved by Reid et al.

    AKA Grammie

It's really funny how this 'Puck' character always uses up lots and lots of posting space....but never actually says anything.

    Grammie,

    >>Today debate was silenced by the MINORITY DEMANDING that the DEBATE BE ENLARGED to include additional options.

You are indeed a funny elderly person...kinda like Moms Mabely or something. If the Republicans were so interested in debating the war then why didn't they do it when they were still in power, eh?

You could hurt yourself spinning like that...

    Hairy Bagpipe

a girl's giving you head and tugs on your balls while humming and she is wearing a plaid skirt

I was pretty appalled by the trashy posts; however, after consideration, I realized that even the person who writes the content speculates upon Olbermann's sex life. You neocon freaks brought this on yourself. You attracted one of your own...

They were not interested in debating before BUT if the Dems are going to bring it to the floor... perhaps additional views not derived by the Dems could be introduced. Much like Olbermann, you want to hear only your side. Hmmmmmm. Parrot!

    Benson:

You say "it's called politics", and you know what...I agree!

However, if this 'surge' does nothing but prolong the war, as most experts agree is going to be the ultimate outcome, and succeeds in doing nothing more than getting many more Americans killed, what are these cowardly politicians going to say about it then?

I guess what they're going to do is just shrug and say..."oh well, it was just politics"?

Nah... I said I don't like it. I am all for an open debate, but I witnessed tons of political tricks by the Dems when they were in the minority, and like to see it swing the other way. Minority rights... remember how often you used that tag line a year ago?

    Benson,

Outside of keeping our country safe from some of Bush's Supreme Court nominees, what are some of the "tons" of political tricks the dems have pulled?...

"Today debate was silenced by the MINORITY DEMANDING that the DEBATE BE ENLARGED to include additional options."

One of those options being a resolution that would pledge that Congress would NEVER cut the funding for troops in the field (this was floated by Senator Gregg of New Hampshire) - which takes the option completely OFF THE TABLE down the road should it become necessary.

The other alternative (the McCain option) is to throw more meaningless "benchmarks" out there, which is pointless because we've HAD BENCHMARKS before and they haven't been effective in pushing the Iraqi government along.

Neither of these options is really an "option" more than it is a cynical ploy to trap the other side in an untenable position.

But Olbermann has used any number of personal attacks on his show. It's the liberal skill of thinking wherein it's wrong to diss Keith but it's okay for Keith to use the most personal attacks against others on-air. Again, the hyporitical thinking of the Olby-cultists rears it's ugly head.

You are indeed a funny elderly person...kinda like Moms Mabely or something. If the Republicans were so interested in debating the war then why didn't they do it when they were still in power, eh?

You could hurt yourself spinning like that...

grammie and Cecilia don't involve themselves in criticizing their own.
Plus Grammie has said in the past that she APPROVES of everything the republicans ( and president ) is doing.
You have to understand what you're dealing with here.

"Neither of these options is really an "option" more than it is a cynical ploy to trap the other side in an untenable position."

If that is really true Ensign, then the Dems should have no trouble swatting away these proposals since they are in the majority. The answer is to let the merits of these positions be heard as part of the debate, not to close the door on all options.

There are good arguments for never letting the Levin-Warner resolution see the light of day either, but it will surely be part of the debate. Let all of the options be debated!

Yep Brandon, your right...Olbermann has certainly been guilty of personal attacks on his shows, and frankly, I just as soon he would quit doing that...at least in regards to other commentators.

But I can honestly say that I've never seen him stoop so low as to question someone's "dick size".

"Neither of these options is really an "option" more than it is a cynical ploy to trap the other side in an untenable position.

The vast majority of these people VOTED FOR THE IRAQ WAR. Now they want to play pussy foot.

These are not my guys. They can play games till the cows come home as far as I am concerned.

But, I do take pleasure in my guys holding their feet to the fire.

EE, can you in all honesty and truth tell me that this is what you expected from the legislative body when you cast your vote in November? Did you expect that they would not use the power of the purse to override the power of the executive and the CIC. Instead they would play games with nonbinding resolutions.

Your memory is failing. Congress voted to give the president the power to declare war if it were necessary. It wasn't necessary. I agree that they should've realized what a complete buffoon Bush was and that he would cook the numbers and pretend that Iraq had a nuclear/missile program; however, you are wrong in stating that they voted for the war...

"And exactly what is a NONBINDING resolution OTHER than a POLITICAL PLOY."

It's a step towards more serious measures. You have to crawl before you can walk. Since we've had nothing but rubber-stamp approval for the last THREE YEARS, ANYTHING that even hints at disapproval is an IMPROVEMENT.

"EE, can you in all honesty and truth tell me that this is what you expected from the legislative body when you cast your vote in November?"

I wouldn't know, since none of the people I voted for in the mid-terms won.

I'd like a BINDING resolution from Ensign Expendable, if you know what I mean.

Chicken Blogger, and who did they give the power to determine the necessity of engaging Iraq or not.

    To themseves? No way.

    To the executive? Absolutely.

You can go back for nigh on fifteen years and find the rhetoric from Dems that is indistinguishable from GWB and the Repubs.

Also, at what point in time did these Dems suddenly remember that there was a condition to their approval of invading Iraq. Hillary Clinton comes to mind because she has suddenly found her opposition recently.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

In the Senate, debates can be like rabbits: They multiply. So, before senators could debate President Bush's plan for a troop increase in Iraq, they had to have a debate about the debate. To go forward with that debate, the senators had to debate the order of debating the debate.

After all the debate, the Senate debated nothing. The nonbinding resolution on Iraq, which would not actually stop the deployment of 21,500 or more additional troops, will not be voted on for the moment. After a day of speeches and wrangling, the Democrats and Republicans could not reach an agreement on how to proceed.

The Alabama Hot Pocket is a special fetish maneuver that roughly involves taking a shit into a woman's vagina, typically followed up by a good ole f---in'. The term "Alabama" originated from a lesser known, but crucial additional practice that involves "Porky Piggin'" the female who has recieved the Hot Pocket. In Alabama, you see, good old redneck boys, when bored, would f--- pig troughs or large, wet piles of mud. To properly perform the Porky Piggin' follow-up procedure, one must take a massive shit onto the vagina WITHOUT spreading the lips. This creates a core that enters the woman, and then dregs that explode out all over her. By randomly stabbing with the cock, one will successfully Porky Piggin' the girl... repeating, naturally, the action that would normally be associated with screwing a pile of mud or animal trough.

Yeah, I posted it and then realized how stupid it sounded...but since I can't edit, I'll take my lumps for being stupid and try to walk it back.

I SHOULD have said that I expect Congress to do their job and not use quibbling procedural moves. If the Republicans want to broaden the scope, they have enough votes to MOVE TO AMEND a resolution on the floor. And it's not like floor debates ever stay completely on topic...

And cee, the ONLY reason that Democrats can't get their "toothless" (as you call it) resolution to a vote is that the Republicans WON'T LET THEM BRING IT TO THE FLOOR!

It's a fact of life that behavior is influenced by what people believe, whether true or not. Numerous cases from history bear this out. For example, sailors were once fearful of sailing outside the sight of land lest they would fall off the edge of the world. In the early 19th century, the train was considered dangerous because it was believed that if you moved faster than 25 miles per hour, you’d be traveling too fast to breathe. At a later date, the New York Times warned that electric light would cause blindness. Microwave ovens, automobiles and airplanes have had equally vociferous opponents.

Looking back, it's easy to laugh at some of the things people once held as true. But these people were not stupid. They were misinformed. In many instances they had simply drawn conclusions before all the facts were in. How easy it is to make the same mistake today.

In our own time, synthetic motor oils have been the object of numerous misconceptions held by the general public. Many people, including some mechanics, have been misled by these persistent myths.

    PARAMETERS OF THE DEBATE

Synthetic motor oils are fuel efficient, extended life lubricants manufactured from select base stocks and special purpose additives. Synthetic oil base stocks are made from organic compounds or synthetic hydrocarbons using a process that re-arranges the structure so all the molecules are uniform in size, shape and weight, a phenomenon that does not occur in nature. In contrast to petroleum oils which are pumped from the earth and refined, synthetics are custom-designed to produce, in effect, the ideal lubricant.

In responding to the objections most commonly raised against synthetics it is important to establish the parameters of the debate. When speaking of synthetic motor oils, this article is defending the lubricants which have been formulated to meet the performance standards set by the American Petroleum Institute (API). (The first such synthetic motor oil independently tested and confirmed to meet these industry-accepted tests for defining engine oil properties and performance characteristics was AMSOIL 100% Synthetic 10W-40 in 1972.)

Many people with questions about synthetics haven't known where to turn to get correct information. Is it super oil or snake oil? Some enthusiasts will swear that synthetics are capable of raising your car from the dead. On the other hand, the next fellow asserts that synthetics will send your beloved car to an early grave. Where's the truth in all this?

In an effort to set the record straight, we've assembled here ten of the more persistent myths about synthetic motor oils to see how they stack up against the facts.

Myth #1: Synthetic motor oils damage seals.

Untrue. It would be foolhardy for lubricant manufacturers to build a product that is incompatible with seals. The composition of seals presents problems that both petroleum oils and synthetics must overcome. Made from elastomers, seals are inherently difficult to standardize.

Ultimately it is the additive mix in oil that counts. Additives to control seal swell, shrinkage and hardening are required, whether it be a synthetic or petroleum product that is being produced.

Myth #2: Synthetics are too thin to stay in the engine.

Untrue. In order for a lubricant to be classified in any SAE grade (10W-30, 10W-40, etc.) it has to meet certain guidelines with regard to viscosity ("thickness").

For example, it makes no difference whether it's 10W-40 petroleum or 10W-40 synthetic, at -25 degrees centigrade (-13F) and 100 degrees centigrade (212 degrees F) the oil has to maintain a standardized viscosity or it can't be rated a 10W-40.

Myth #3: Synthetics cause cars to use more oil.

Untrue. Synthetic motor oils are intended for use in mechanically sound engines, that is, engines that don't leak. In such engines, oil consumption will actually be reduced. First, because of the lower volatility of synlubes. Second, because of the better sealing characteristics between piston rings and cylinder walls. And finally, because of the superior oxidation stability (i.e. resistance of synthetics against reacting with oxygen at high temperatures.)

Myth #4: Synthetic lubricants are not compatible with petroleum.

Untrue. The synthesized hydrocarbons, polyalphaolefins, diesters and other materials that form the base stocks of high-quality name brand synthetics are fully compatible with petroleum oils. In the old days, some companies used ingredients that were not compatible, causing quality synlubes to suffer a bum rap. Fortunately, those days are long gone.

Compatibility is something to keep in mind, however, whether using petroleum oils or synthetics. It is usually best to use the same oil for topping off that you have been running in the engine. That is, it is preferable to not mix your oils, even if it is Valvoline or Quaker State you are using. The reason is this: the functions of additives blended for specific characteristics can be offset when oils with different additive packages are put together. For optimal performance, it is better to use the same oil throughout.

Myth #5: Synthetic lubricants are not readily available.

Untrue. This may have been the case two decades ago when AMSOIL and Mobil 1 were the only real choices, but today nearly every major oil company has added a synthetic product to their lines. This in itself is a testament to the value synthetics offer.

Myth #6: Synthetic lubricants produce sludge.

Untrue. In point of fact, synthetic motor oils are more sludge resistant than their petroleum counterparts, resisting the effects of high temperature and oxidation. In the presence of high temperatures, two things can happen. First, an oil's lighter ingredients boil off, making the oil thicker. Second, many of the complex chemicals found naturally in petroleum base stocks begin to react with each other, forming sludge, gum and varnish. One result is a loss of fluidity at low temperatures, slowing the timely flow of oil to the engine for vital component protection.

Further negative effects of thickened oil include the restriction of oil flow into critical areas, greater wear and loss of fuel economy.

Because of their higher flash points, and their ability to withstand evaporation loss and oxidation, synthetics are much more resistant to sludge development.

Two other causes of sludge -- ingested dirt and water dilution -- can be a problem in any kind of oil, whether petroleum or synthetic. These are problems with the air filtration system and the cooling system respectively, not the oil.

Myth #7: Synthetics can't be used with catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

Untrue. There is no difference between synthetic and petroleum oils in regards to these components. Both synthetic and petroleum motor oils are similar compounds and neither is damaging to catalytic converters or oxygen sensors. In fact, because engines tend to run cleaner with synthetics, sensors and emission control systems run more efficiently and with less contamination.

    Myth#8: Synthetics void warranties.

Untrue. Major engine manufacturers specifically recommend the use of synthetic lubricants. In point of fact, increasing numbers of high performance cars are arriving on showroom floors with synthetic motor oils as factory fill.

New vehicle warranties are based upon the use of oils meeting specific API Service Classifications (for example, SJ/CF). Synthetic lubricants which meet current API Service requirements are perfectly suited for use in any vehicle without affecting the validity of the new car warranty.

In point of fact, in the twenty-eight years that AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants have been used in extended service situations, over billions of miles of actual driving, these oils have not been faulted once for voiding an automaker's warranty.

    Myth #9: Synthetics last forever.

Untrue. Although some experts feel that synthetic base stocks themselves can be used forever, it is well known that eventually the additives will falter and cause the oil to require changing. Moisture, fuel dillution, and the by-products of combustion (acids and soot) tend to use up additives in an oil, allowing degradation to occur.

However, by "topping off", additives can be replenished. Through good filtration and periodic oil analysis, synthetic engine oils protect an engine for lengths of time far beyond the capability of non-synthetics.

Myth #10: Synthetics are too expensive.

Untrue. Tests and experience have proven that synthetics can greatly extend drain intervals, provide better fuel economy, reduce engine wear and enable vehicles to operate with greater reliability. This more than offsets initial price differences. All these elements combine to make synthetic engine oils more economical than conventional non-synthetics.

In Europe, synthetics have enjoyed increasing acceptance as car buyers look first to performance and long term value rather than initial price. As more sophisticated technology places greater demands on today's motor oils, we will no doubt see an increasing re-evaluation of oil buying habits in this country as well.

    CONCLUSIONS

Since their inception, manufacturers of synthetic motor oils have sought to educate the public about the facts regarding synthetics, and the need for consumers to make their lubrication purchasing decisions based on quality rather than price. As was the case with microwave ovens or electric lights, a highly technological improvement must often overcome a fair amount of public skepticism and consumer inertia before it is embraced by the general population.

But the word is getting out as a growing number of motorists worldwide experience the benefits of synthetic lubrication. The wave of the future, in auto lubes, is well under way.

A friend just IM'd me and said that it was on the radio that Olbermann had signed a contract with MSNBC.

    Has anyone else heard anything?

Basically the opposite of all Olbermann's sources for his nightly ramblings of Idiocy.

Where is one of the largest ultralight training schools? West Virginia.

Once a call to cloture (end debate) has been made, amendments can be added so long as they are done between the time of the call and the actual vote (in this case the call to cloture was made on Thrusday and the vote on Monday, so amendments could have been added on Friday). As long as those amendments are relevant to the matter at hand, they must be heard and voted on.

What is also interesting is that the Bin Laden FBI's wanted poster does not hang in the FBI's own WV office.

Also they spell his name Usama. Usama is translated as Virgin from the West.

Usama's as dead as Bill & Hillary's sex life.

    According to the DOJ

Heroin poses a low but increasing threat to West Virginia. Heroin abuse levels in West Virginia are low; however, state and local law enforcement officials report that abuse is increasing in cities such as Martinsburg and Weirton where the drug is being abused as a substitute for OxyContin. Statewide, heroin availability is limited. South American heroin is the type most readily available. Limited quantities of heroin produced in Mexico, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia also are available. Caucasian and African American local independent dealers and loosely organized criminal groups, as well as local street gangs such as West Side Posse, are the principal transporters and retail-level distributors of heroin in West Virginia--wholesale-level distribution is limited. Most of the heroin available in West Virginia is transported into the state via private vehicles from Baltimore, Maryland; Detroit, Michigan; New York, New York; Charlotte, North Carolina; Cleveland, Columbus, and Steubenville, Ohio; Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Washington, D.C. Heroin is sold at open-air drug markets as well as from private residences, hotel rooms, and bars in West Virginia.

Where does Heroin come from? Afghanistan and guess who is hiding there?

Evidently, the thing about Olbermann signing another MSNBC contract must have come Rudy's friend in W.VA too.

I can't find a jot or a diddle about it.

"Once a call to cloture (end debate) has been made, amendments can be added so long as they are done between the time of the call and the actual vote (in this case the call to cloture was made on Thrusday and the vote on Monday, so amendments could have been added on Friday). As long as those amendments are relevant to the matter at hand, they must be heard and voted on.

Are we discussing two different things here?

The Dems have a nonbinding resolution, not a bill subject to amendment. To my mind, a bill is a different procedure from a resolution or say a vote to confirm a nominee.

The Dems used the filibuster in the last few years more then once. This is not some sudden devious plot by the Repubs to shut down debate and options.

The Repubs wanted to add options, not remove or limit options on this resolution.

Its amazing, isn't it? Both Dems and Repubs are politicians and act like politicians.

No, I have it on good information that Keith Olbersmurf is getting re-stuffed at the local mall's Build-A-Bear. Apparently he needs a day off or so after the metallic 'probe' during stuffing. He got a free wig adjustment too. Atta boy!

    How dare you sir.

Mike, common sense doesn't speak your language; so your opinion on it is not credible. Get it yet?

As the "articulate" Al Sharpton once said, the man i.e. Osama has more videos than a rock star, similar to the music industry as the video releases decrease so does his influence.
Osama is certainly dead, more likely a few years ago.

    HA

Its been awhile since I've posted but I like the turn this board has taken.

    Less politics and more comedy.

We shouls start offering an award for the most amusing post that resembles The Onion more than Hardball.

If Bill Clinton were president, killing Osama Bin Laden would call for self-congratulations and the usual Rose Garden press conferences for circle jerk-athons.

We happen to have a real man in the White House right now, who realizes the 'news' of Osama's death may have immediate dangerous ramifications to innocents abroad and here. See, since politics isn't our "religion" as it is for the Clintonistas, we have to consider other people before taking credit for things we haven't accomplished, simply for higher poll numbers.

IF THIS ADMINISTRATION KNEW BIN LADEN WAS DEAD, THERE'D BE A PARADE IN WASHINGTON AND BUSH WOULD DO HAND STANDS.
AS IT IS, BUSH HAS FAILED ON HIS PROMISE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO GET HIM 'DEAD OR ALIVE'.
TOO BUSH SCREWING UP IRAQ TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE 9/11 MASTERMIND.

THAT'S BUSH HAS PAID TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO SCREWING UP IRAQ THAN TO WORRY ABOUT BIN LADEN.

The Clinton Administration warned the new Bush administration that their primary focus should be Bin laden.
    They ignored him.
And they haven't stop making mistakes since.

No, you have a simple minded chimp in the white house who can't fart unless Chaney is holding his hand and Chaney is a loose cannon.

And those five aren't trying to be funny, which is the sad thing about it.

    it's been documented, a--hole.
    I know the truth hurts.

Bush was more concerned with Star Wars technology than Bin Laden( Star Wars really helped us on 9/11 didn't it?)
Check the records what Condi Rice was going to give a speech about on 9/11/01.
    Go ahead, fool !

    HA! HA! HA!
Still laughing about Clinton's war on terror....
Whew... I'll be back after I get my breath!
HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

In 1995 and 1996, various branches of the Religion of Peace — al-Qaida, Hezbollah and the Iranian "Party of God" — staged car bomb attacks on American servicemen in Saudi Arabia, killing 24 members of our military in all. Each time, the Clinton administration came up with an excuse to do nothing.

Despite the Democrats' current claim that only the capture of Osama bin Laden will magically end terrorism forever, Clinton turned down Sudan's offer to hand us bin Laden in 1996. That year, Mohammed Atta proposed the 9/11 attack to bin Laden.

Clinton refused the handover of bin Laden because — he said in taped remarks on Feb. 15, 2002 — "(bin Laden) had committed no crime against America, so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him." Luckily, after 9/11, we can get him on that trespassing charge.

Although Clinton made the criminal justice system the entire U.S. counterterrorism strategy, there was not even an indictment filed after the bombing of either Khobar Towers (1996) or the USS Cole (2000). Indictments were not filed until after Bush/Ashcroft came into office.

Only in 1998 did the Clinton-haters ("normal people") force Clinton into a military response. Solely because of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Clinton finally lobbed a few bombs in the general direction of Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.

In August 1998, three days after Clinton admitted to the nation that he did in fact have "sex with that woman," he bombed Afghanistan and Sudan, doing about as much damage as another Clinton fusillade did to a blue Gap dress.

The day of Clinton's scheduled impeachment, Dec. 18, 1998, he bombed Iraq. This accomplished two things: (1) It delayed his impeachment for one day, and (2) it got a lot of Democrats on record about the monumental danger of Saddam Hussein and his weapons of mass destruction.

So don't tell me impeachment "distracted" Clinton from his aggressive pursuit of terrorists. He never would have bombed anyone if it weren't for the Clinton-haters.

As soon as Clinton was no longer "distracted" by impeachment, he went right back to doing nothing in response to terrorism. In October 2000, al-Qaida bombed the USS Cole, killing 17 sailors and nearly sinking the ship.

    Clinton did nothing.

According to Rich Miniter, author of "Losing Bin Laden," Clinton's top national security advisers made the following classic Democrat excuses for doing nothing in response to the Cole attack:

    — Attorney General Janet Reno "thought retaliation might violate international law and was therefore against it."

    — CIA Director George Tenet "wanted more definitive proof that bin Laden was behind the attack, although he personally thought he was."

    — Secretary of State Madeleine Albright "was concerned about the reaction of world opinion to a retaliation against Muslims and the impact it would have in the final days of the Clinton Middle East peace process." (How did that turn out, by the way? Big success, I take it? Everybody over there all friendly with one another?)

    — Secretary of Defense William Cohen "did not consider the Cole attack 'sufficient provocation' for a military retaliation."

This is only an abbreviated list of Clinton's surrender to Islamic savagery. For a president who supposedly stayed up all night "working" and hated vacations, Clinton sure spent a lot of time sitting around on his butt while America was being attacked.

Less than a year after Clinton's final capitulation to Islamic terrorists, they staged the largest terrorist attack in history on U.S. soil. The Sept. 11 attack, planning for which began in the '90s, followed eight months of President Bush — but eight years of Bill Clinton.

Clinton's own campaign adviser on Iraq, Laurie Mylroie, says Clinton and his advisers are "most culpable" for the intelligence failure that allowed 9/11 to happen.

Now, after five years of no terrorist attacks in America, Democrats are hoping we'll forget the consequences of the Democrat strategy of doing nothing in response to terrorism and abandon the Bush policies that have kept this nation safe since 9/11. But first, they need to rewrite history.

    Unbelievable!!!

WHEAT: Projected U.S. wheat ending stocks for
2006/07 are raised 34 million bushels this month primarily
because of changes in projected trade. Imports are
raised 10 million bushels as hard red spring and durum
wheat imports to date have been higher than expected.
Exports are lowered 25 million bushels reflecting the slow
pace of shipments and sales as a result of strong U.S.
prices. The projected price range is unchanged at $4.15
    to $4.45 per bushel.

Global 2006/07 wheat production is projected 2.2 million
tons higher this month, due primarily to larger crops in
Russia and EU-25. Production is raised 1.4 million tons
in Russia and 0.7 million tons in EU-25. Global
consumption is raised 1.2 million tons this month
reflecting increases in EU-25, Russia, Ukraine, and India.
Wheat imports are reduced for Iraq and Pakistan. Higher
exports for Russia, Bulgaria, and Romania are more than
offset by lower exports for Ukraine, EU-25, India, and the
United States. With more production, global ending
stocks for 2006/07 are raised 1.1 million tons. Higher
projected stocks in the United States, EU-25, and
    Ukraine drive the increase.

COARSE GRAINS: Projected U.S. 2006/07 corn ending
stocks are projected at 752 million bushels, down 183
million bushels from last month as lower production is
only partly offset by reduced feed and residual use. Corn
production is estimated 210 million bushels lower
reflecting lower planted and harvested area and a 2.1-
bushel-per-acre reduction in the average yield. Feed and
residual use is projected 75 million bushels lower based
on the smaller crop and higher prices. Corn food and
industrial use is lowered 5 million bushels reflecting lower
use by the sweetener industry during the September-
November quarter. Exports are raised 50 million bushels
based on the continued strength of export demand as
demonstrated by shipments and export sales. The
projected price range is raised 10 cents on each end of
the range to $3.00 to $3.40 per bushel.

Sorghum production for 2006 is estimated 11 million
bushels lower this month as lower harvested area more
than offsets a 2-bushel-per-acre increase in yields.
Sorghum feed and residual is raised 15 million bushels
based on first quarter use. Exports are lowered 10
million bushels as export sales to Mexico have remained
below earlier expectations, partly a result of strong corn
shipments from the United States. Sorghum 2006/07
ending stocks are projected 5 million bushels lower.
Prices are projected 10 cents higher on each end of the
range to $3.00 to $3.40 per bushel.

Barley feed and residual use for 2006/07 is raised 10
million bushels with a corresponding reduction in ending
stocks. Barley and oats prices are unchanged this
    month.

Global 2006/07 coarse grain production is lowered 6.6
million tons this month. The largest share of the
reduction results from lower U.S. feed grain output. Also
lower are EU-25 corn, barley, and mixed grains
production and Russia corn, barley, and oats production.
Partly offsetting are higher sorghum and barley
production in Argentina and higher corn production in
Bulgaria. World coarse grain consumption is down 1.2
million tons as the U.S. decline more than offsets a small
increase in foreign use. Trade is raised this month. The
largest export increases are for U.S. and Brazil corn.
These increases are partly offset by lower corn and
barley exports from Ukraine. Global coarse grain ending
stocks are lowered 6.2 million tons with global corn
stocks projected to fall to their lowest level since 1977/78.

RICE: The U.S. 2006/07 rice crop is estimated at 193.7
million cwt, up slightly from the November estimate, but
13 percent below 2005/06. Average yield for 2006/07 is
estimated at 6,868 pounds per acre, up 21 pounds per
acre from last month and 232 pounds per acre above
2005/06. Planted area is estimated at 2.838 million
acres, down slightly from November and a decline of 16
percent from 2005/06. Imports for 2006/07 are projected
at 18 million cwt, unchanged from last month. The all-
    rice export projection is unchanged at 102 million cwt;
however, slight changes are made to the by-class
projections. Long-grain exports are increased 1 million
cwt while combined medium- and short-grain exports are
reduced 1 million cwt. Ending stocks for 2006/07 are
projected at 29.9 million cwt, up slightly from last month.
The season-average farm price range is raised 15 cents
per cwt on the low end and increased 5 cents on the high
end to $9.70 to $10.00 per cwt and compares to $7.62
per cwt in 2005/06. The midpoint of the price range at
$9.85 per cwt would be the highest season-average farm
price since 1996/97 ($9.96 per cwt).

Global production, consumption, and ending stocks for
2006/07 are lowered from a month ago, while exports
and imports are raised. The decline in global rice
production is due primarily to a smaller crop projected for
Indonesia (down 1.4 million tons to 33.7 million tons).
Global exports are raised 0.8 million tons due to
increases for Pakistan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Imports
are up 1.0 million tons owing mostly to an increase for
Indonesia. Global ending stocks at 77.7 million tons are
down 0.9 million tons from last month, down 2.7 million
tons from 2005/06, and the lowest stocks since 1983/84.

OILSEEDS: U.S. oilseed production for 2006/07 is
estimated at 96.9 million tons, down 0.2 million tons from
last month but up 1.4 million tons from last year. Lower
soybean production is mostly offset by increases for
    sunflowerseed, canola, cottonseed, and peanuts.
Soybean production is estimated at 3,188 million bushels,
down 16 million bushels from last month based on lower
yields. The soybean yield is estimated at 42.7 bushels
per acre, below last year's record of 43.0 bushels per
acre. Soybean exports are reduced 25 million bushels to
    1,120 million bushels reflecting weaker-than-expected
shipments in November and December. Soybean crush
is unchanged. However, soybean oil and meal exports
are both raised this month, with offsetting reductions in
domestic consumption. Soybean stocks are projected at
a record 575 million bushels, up 10 million bushels from
    last month.

The U.S. season-average soybean price range for
2006/07 is narrowed to $5.75 to $6.45 per bushel.
Soybean oil prices are forecast at 26.5 to 28.5 cents per
pound compared with 26 to 29 cents last month.
Soybean meal prices are projected at $170 to $185 per
short ton compared with $165 to $190 last month.

Global oilseed production for 2006/07 is projected at a
record 395.4 million tons, down 0.1 million tons. Foreign
production is projected at 298.6 million tons, up 0.1
million tons. Global soybean production is projected at
226.9 million tons, up 0.1 million from last month.
Argentina's soybean crop is increased 0.5 million tons
this month to a record 42.5 million tons. Good weather
during the early part of the growing season has improved
yield prospects. Foreign production of rapeseed,
sunflowerseed, and cottonseed are all reduced this
month. India's rapeseed crop is projected at 6.2 million
tons, down 0.3 million tons based on reduced harvested
area reflecting Government of India data on planting
progress. Other oilseed production changes include
increased rapeseed production for EU-25, reduced
sunflowerseed production for Russia, and lower
cottonseed production for Syria and Turkey. Higher
cottonseed production in Brazil and China partly offsets
    these reductions.

SUGAR: Projected 2006/07 U.S. sugar supply is
decreased 180,000 short tons, raw value, from last
month, due to lower production and imports. Production
is decreased 80,000 tons, based on processor estimates
compiled by the Farm Service Agency. Louisiana cane
sugar production is lowered 85,000 tons to 1.335 million
tons, assuming September 2007 production is 55,000
tons. Imports under the tariff rate quota are decreased
100,000 tons, based on reduced competition from
    Mexico. Sugar use is unchanged.

LIVESTOCK, POULTRY, AND DAIRY: Estimates of
total U.S. meat production for 2006 and the forecast for
2007 are reduced slightly from last month. Fourth-
quarter 2006 beef production is raised due to higher-
than-expected average carcass weights. However, lower
than-expected pork production due to reduced hog
slaughter and lighter average carcass weights, more than
offset beef gains. No change is made to 2007 beef
forecasts. The December 27 Quarterly Hogs and Pigs
report indicated producers intend to farrow fewer sows
than previously expected although this may be partly
offset by continued gains in pigs per litter. Thus, the
2007 pork production forecast is reduced from last month
because of a smaller pig crop in addition to lower
average carcass weights due to higher feed costs. Minor
changes are made to aggregate poultry production
estimates for 2006 and forecasts for 2007 as slightly
lower broiler production is partly offset by higher turkey
production. Egg production forecasts are unchanged.

Price forecasts for 2007 are unchanged for cattle,
turkeys, and eggs, but prices are forecast higher for hogs
and broilers. Slower growth in pork production coupled
with improved prospects for exports will support prices
above last month's forecast. Broiler meat supplies are
forecast lower due to slower production growth and
smaller expected stocks. Coupled with lower expected
red meat supplies, broiler prices are forecast higher.

Red meat and poultry trade for 2006 and 2007 is raised
from last month. Beef export forecasts are unchanged
but imports are increased for 2006 as November
shipments from Australia and Brazil were higher than
expected. Pork import forecasts are unchanged but
exports in both 2006 and 2007 are raised as sales growth
is expected to remain robust through 2007. Broiler
export estimates are raised for 2006 as November
shipments to Russia rebounded from October and sales
to a number of small markets continued to expand.

The milk production estimate for 2006 is reduced from
last month but the 2007 forecast is unchanged. Gains in
milk prices are expected to lag increased feed costs
through much of 2007 and thus limit production
expansion. Milk price forecasts are reduced from last
month as increased nonfat dry milk (NDM) and whey
prices are offset by reduced cheese and butter prices.
Demand for NDM and whey for both domestic ingredient
use and international sales continues to support relatively
strong prices. In the absence of other international
supply sources, U.S. prices are expected to remain high.
Cheese prices are reduced slightly and butter prices are
reduced more as supplies are expected to remain ample
in the face of robust demand for NDM. Class price
forecasts are also adjusted to reflect the recently
announced interim manufacturing (make) allowances for
cheese, butter, NDM, and whey that will take effect
February 1. The increase in make allowances results in
lower Class prices. The all milk price forecast for 2007 is
    reduced to $13.60 - $14.40.

    COTTON: This month's 2006/07 U.S. cotton estimates
show increased production and lower offtake, resulting in
an increase of 12.7 percent in forecast ending stocks.
The production estimate is 21.7 million bales, 2 percent
above last month, due primarily to higher production in
Texas and the Southeast. Domestic mill use is reduced
100,000 bales to 5.0 million, reflecting the recent
downward trend in reported monthly mill use. Exports
are lowered 300,000 bales to 15.7 million, due to the
continued sluggish pace of export sales and shipments
and a significant reduction in the import forecast for
China. If realized, the carryover projection of 7.1 million
bales would be the largest since 2001/02.

The world 2006/07 cotton estimates include an increase
in production, which is partly offset by higher
consumption, resulting in slightly higher ending stocks.
World production is raised 0.7 percent, as increases in
Brazil, China, Pakistan, and the United States are
partially offset by decreases for Turkey, Greece, Syria,
and others. World consumption is raised marginally, due
mainly to an increase for India. World trade is reduced 2
percent as lower imports by China are partially offset by
higher imports by Turkey and Argentina. China's imports
are reduced 1.25 million bales from last month due to
lagging purchases and an announcement that the
government would defer issuance of additional import
quotas until March or later. Exports are reduced mainly
in the United States, Syria, and Greece.

In 2004, Richard Clarke said,"I find it outrageous that the president is running for re-election on the grounds that he's done such great things about terrorism," Clarke said in a "60 Minutes" interview on the book with CBS. "He ignored it. He ignored terrorism for months, when maybe we could have done something to stop 9/11. Maybe, we'll never know."

BTW, Richard Clarke had served under both Democratic and Republican Administrations.

So, let me get this straight. You morons on the irrational right are so stupid that you're gonna sink the Republican front runners -- McCain, Guiliani, and Romney -- because they're too "liberal"? (pro-gay, pro-choice, pro-gun_control).

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

    ------------

Many conservatives are wary of Giuliani, because they consider him "too liberal" on issues such as abortion and gay rights, but other top GOP contenders such as Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney face similiar criticism. Perkins believes that "once people focus on this election and the candidates Giuliani's lead will diminish." "If by some chance Giuliani were to gain the Republican nomination it would set up a very similar scenario that we had last November," Perkins added. "A unenthusiastic Republican base which will suppress turnout and set up a Democratic victory."

    --------------

Cool. Live by the sword, die by the sword. The conservative republican base is too stupid to vote for their front runners -- because they aren't sectarian-regressive enough!

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

"Basically, the president botched the response to 9/11. He should have gone right after Afghanistan, right after bin Laden. And then he made the whole war on terrorism so much worse by invading Iraq," he told ABC's "Good Morning America."

"I think we could have had a good chance to get bin Laden, to get the leadership and wipe the whole organization out if we had gone in immediately and gone after him."

Instead, Clarke said, Bush has "inflamed the Arab world and created a whole new generation of al Qaeda terrorists."

He added, "U.S. soldiers went to their deaths in Iraq thinking that they were avenging 9/11 when Iraq had nothing do with it."

In a meeting on September 12, 2001, "The president, in a very intimidating way, left us, me and my staff, with the clear indication that he wanted us to come back with the word that there was an Iraqi hand behind 9/11 because they had been planning to do something about Iraq from before the time they came into office," Clarke said.

"I think they had an idée fixe, a plan from Day One that they wanted to do something about Iraq. And while the World Trade Center was still smoldering, while they were still digging bodies out, people in the White House were thinking, 'Ah, this gives us the opportunity we've been looking for to go after Iraq.'"

    Who are Bush, Clake, et.al?

And how do I order a Blumpkin?

Of corse Richard Clarke is your source? I love that... must be true because he made money off a lot of book sales when he rolled that out.

By the way, being part of an administration must give him a ton of credibility among you lefties. Olbermann props up former republicans as great pundits to carry out his anti-Bush smears. Just as it must all be true what Dick Morris says about the Clintons every time he is on Fox News.

HAHA forgets that Bush's invasion of Iraq will go down in American history as the worst foreign policy blunder ever.

George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton both knew you couldn't start a war in the Middle East because you would never be able to finish it.

Ha Ha has the perfect name , b/c he's a joke.

Olbyloon alert. The newest post to this blog has audio of Crazy Keith proclaiming no bias. Now THAT is funny.

Yeah, that FDR was too concerned with the Japanese to deal with the Nazis! You libs may not be able to do two things at once, but we humans can. Just look at the economy as proof the President and the White House can juggle more than one task.

Of course benson is stupid enough to think b/c someone writes a book about historical events it's all a lie.
He should have gone to Fox News. Then Benson would have believed him.
    Benson is a dope !

Just look at the economy as proof the President and the White House can juggle more than one task.

Posted by: Matt at February 6, 2007 3:36 PM

What's the other task Bush is doing so well with ?
    This should be good !

    Noname Ass

I just am poitning the hypocrisy of your posts-
"He was a member of both administrations." As if that is instant credibility.

By the way- Clarke DID not absolve the Clinton administration of 9/11 as you freaks proclaim. So stop cherry picking your sources.

Of corse Richard Clarke is your source? I love that... must be true because he made money off a lot of book sales when he rolled that out. By the way, being part of an administration must give him a ton of credibility among you lefties. Olbermann props up former republicans as great pundits to carry out his anti-Bush smears. Just as it must all be true what Dick Morris says about the Clintons every time he is on Fox News.

so your swiftboating of R.Clarke is based on his book sales? and that he's supposedly a disgruntled former staffer? that's all you got?

Do you think Dick Morris is full of shit? He sold a lot of books to conservatives by bashing Clinton. And Clarke sold a lot of books to you loons blaming Bush for 9/11. Fact is AFTER the book rolled out, he toned down his message and said there was enough blame to go around. Did you only read the chapters that bashed Bush? Nice cocoon.

Matt says: libs are not human.

He may be right. Maybe we are Cyborgs, or possibly Vulcans. That may explain why we are capable of thinking so logically, while the Republicans...not so much!

    High FIve!

Well, since we've killed thousands of would-be or already-are terrorists and haven't had an attack on this country since the Big One, I'd say the War On Terror - as a whole - is going well. Not that any of you get it.

As for Iraq, we got Saddam and his sons, killed Zarqawi there (sorry, Libs, another bad moment for you), and destroyed the Baathist regime. The post-Saddam part is a mess, but who thought it wouldn't be? And the admin made plenty of mistakes along the way, that's what humans (especially those in gov't) do....unless you guzzle Clinton Kool Aid and call yourself a liberal.

Bottom line, this administration has had a tougher job than any since Reagan, and though Bush is no Reagan, he's done a great job overall. The public is dissatisfied with the progress in Iraq, but what do you expect with the media the the Idiot-sphere of which you belong does nothing but take pot shots all day every day.

If being "human" is being obsessed with so much that isn't so, then liberals may be human after all. But it's certainly a condition that requires heavy medication or a good old fashioned suicide.

"Just look at the economy as proof the President and the White House can juggle more than one task."

Yes, an economy where people are spending $1.30 for every $1 they make, where people putting money into savings dropped for the first time in seventy years, where the living wage has declined as high-paying manufacturing jobs have been replaced with lower-paying "service industry" jobs, foreclosures of family homes on on the rise, the number of people filing bankruptcy is also rising, student loan debt is out of sight...

What, exactly, is GOOD about any of that?

Yep, Matts got me again!....The day they killed Zarqawi, I just hadda go straight to my room and just sulk and sulk. After about a week or so, I was finally able to drag myself over to a Starbucks for some latte coffee and console myself with all the other distraught libs!

Matt says: "the post Saddam part is a mess, but who thought it wouldn't be?"....

Uhh, lets see;...Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, McCain, etc., etc, etc.......

Yup,the soup lines are wrapped around every main street in America!! LOL you liberals are so pathetic it's boring.

And you know,Mike the panty-waist lib, that you were disappointed when Zarqawi was nailed, because since your religion is politics, it was something you couldn't use anymore.

    mark levin is annoying

I'd say the War On Terror - as a whole - is going well. though Bush is no Reagan, he's done a great job overall.

yep, just keep repeating that to yourself over and over, ditto brain.

    -----------

The public is dissatisfied with the progress in Iraq, but what do you expect with the media.

yep, things are going pretty well in iraq.
it's just the MSM that's screwing things up.
which is why we don't need any more troops there.
and why everyone's so happy we trashed the place.
and why everyone wants us to stay.
no wonder the troop surge is so popular with congress!
    some ditto brains never learn.

    -------------

The post-Saddam part is a mess, but who thought it wouldn't be?

everyone at the pentagon and state department, except the handful of neocon "crazies", who warned for fifteen years ever since Bush-I that it would be a huge mistake to invade because the post-Saddam part would be a mess, dumbshit. ignorance is bliss, ditto brain.

"Yup,the soup lines are wrapped around every main street in America!!"

So the only standard to you about whether the economy is "good" is whether the signs of poverty are obvious?

When people are spending more than they make (and not on luxuries but on necessities) and not saving because they don't have income to save, you have a ready-made disaster looming.

    Benson, Benson ,Benson.
You think that Richard Clarke, who served 4 presidents, lied about Bush dropping the ball about 9/11,TO SELL A FRIGGING BOOK ?
There is no telling how far you'd go to make excuses for the failures of George Bush.

And these questions are directed to the other mental midget: Matt.
Benson, you can chirp in too,
You say Bush is doing a fine job.
Then how come the GOP governors were running away from Bush during the election, b/c they didn't want to be associated with him?
Why were the republicans booted out of Congress when people were basically voting AGAINST Bush.
Why is Bush's approval ratings now at 28%, coming very close to Nixon levels ?

    Fine job eh ?

Bushie- don't take my comments out of context. For the 3rd time, qualifying Clarke's statements by stating he was a member of both parties is an Olbermann trick. He was replaced in the Bush admin before the book was written. He left unhappy. Yet he does not contend that Bush is the only one who dropped the ball on 911. I do not discredit him but I DO qualify his resume which you chose to cherry pick.

Actually, this post is a waste of time. You won't listen to the qualifier anyways.

And Bushie, you lump all anti-olby posters into a Bush defender catagory. I rarely debate you on the Bush subject as his legacy is in stone. The war will decide it, and nobody here can predict its future. SO its a waste of my time defending it or bashing it. The die is cast and unless Congress steps in it will continue.

Why is Bush`s approval ratings now at 28%, coming very close to Nixon levels ?

Because everyone`s wrong about Iraq and the WOT being f---ed up and getting worse by the day.
    The American electorate is wrong.
    The American Congress is wrong.
    The MSM is wrong.
    The whole world is wrong.

Everyone`s wrong, except the pitiable losers herein -- and their laughable 15%.
    That's why.

"The war will decide it, and nobody here can predict its future. SO its a waste of my time defending it or bashing it. The die is cast and unless Congress steps in it will continue."

Can we get you to admit it looks bleak?

By the way you high horse dementia posters.
    Read it and weep...

    _________

Approval for the way Congress is handling its job rose to 32 percent in the latest AP-Ipsos poll, up from a meager 27 percent a month earlier. That puts Congress on par with President Bush, whose 32 percent approval rating represents a new low for him in AP-Ipsos polling.

    -------

Ironic how its not just a Bush thing, but you proclaim it is!

Probably why I don't waste my time on it. I posted a conversation I had with a very recently retired general days ago, and he had a far more optimistic opinion than you guys. But he was quick to rip Rumsfeld for each and every mistep. "Each step forward is progress, BUT every misstep takes months/years to reverse." He feels we need more time.

Matt is so very perceptive, and he really does seem to have us "panty waist liberals" pegged so well that it's just scary. He must have paid real close attention when he read Ann Coulters book "how to talk to a liberal". I sure hope none of the other clear thinkers hear about this book!

Now excuse me while I get myself down to the local homeless shelter so's I can get my place in the "soup line" before it's too late!

He feels we need more time.

    More time for what?
There's a raging civil war going on.
Is that going to stop ?

You pathetic RW'ers have nothing !

And Bush's legacy is SO MUCH MORE than just the Iraq War.
His deficit, refusal to reduce co2 emissions even though we are the worst polluters in the world, immigration policy, healthcare, energy policy, bending over to Big Oil and Big Pharma etc.
And that's just a partial list.
This president has been a big zero.
Actually less than zero. He's done much more harm than good.

Like I said, you got nothing.

Ironic how its not just a Bush thing, but you proclaim it is!

Man, Benson still sucks down all the irrational talking points.
Bush haters! Bush haters! Bush haters!
    Iraq's not a quagmire, it's the MSM.
    Clarke is disgruntled.

    Good little ditto brain.
What else you got for us, tiny mind?

Fight 'em there, so we don't fight 'em here?
Iraq had plenty of WMDs, and we found lots and lots of `em?
    Saddam was an imminent threat?
    Iraq was behind 9/11?
Iraq is a hotbed of terrorizers?

    Bushie-
You know far less than a general who just left Iraq. So why do you pretend you are so smart. It makes you look dumber than you are, son.

Matt says "my religion is politics"...

Wee damn...Matt got me again! I just hate all that gittin up on Sunday morning just to go worshipin at my local "liberal Baptist" church because it's SO far away. I hafta catch the city bus just to get there, and that just takes up SO much of my welfare check, that I cain't hardly afford no wine afterwards!

Don't forget Bush's shedding of the Constitution in the disguise of making us more safe.

    Nonamer:
Love to flaunt those Bush approval numbers but when the new congress numbers come out the same i hear crickets chirp.

Can you guys use your brain or is it drowned out by the "bush sucks" drumbeat you live with?

"The very first act of the new Bush administration was to have a Protestant Evangelist minister officially dedicate the inauguration to Jesus Christ, whom he declared to be 'our savior.' Invoking 'the Father, the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ' and 'the Holy Spirit,' Billy Graham's son, the man selected by President George W Bush to bless his presidency, excluded the tens of millions of Americans who are Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Shintoists, Unitarians, agnostics, and atheists from his blessing by his particularistic and parochial language.
"The plain message conveyed by the new administration is that George W Bush's America is a Christian nation and that non-Christians are welcome into the tent so long as they agree to accept their status as a tolerated minority rather than as fully equal citizens. In effect, Bush is saying: 'This is our home, and in our home we pray to Jesus as our savior. If you want to be a guest in our home, you must accept the way we pray.'"

Don't give me your cherry picked general !

    THE WISDOM OF GEORGE BUSH

They want the federal government controlling Social Security like it's some kind of federal program.
-- George W Bush, St Charles, Missouri, November 2, 2000

I do remain confident in Linda. She'll make a fine labor secretary. From what I've read in the press accounts, she's perfectly qualified.
    -- George W Bush, Austin, Texas, January 8, 2001,

As young Americans, you have an important responsibility, which is to become good citizens.
-- George W Bush, in a June, 2001, letter to British students at Oakhill College in Lancashire, England: but giving the benefit where doubt is due, we ask, had they been Americans, wouldn't they already be citizens? Quoted from Randy Cassingham, "This is True" (24 June 2001).

God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them.
-- George W Bush, according to Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, from minutes acquired by Haaretz from cease-fire negotiations between Abbas and faction leaders from the Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular and Democratic Fronts (circa, June, 2003),

There are numerous volumes of Bush Botches.
    This president is an idiot.

-- That puts Congress on par with President Bush [approval-rating-wise]
-- Ironic how its not just a Bush thing, but you proclaim it is!
-- Love to flaunt those Bush approval numbers but when the new congress numbers come out the same i hear crickets chirp.

    and your point is what?
    that the month-old dem congress
is as culpable as the six-year-old bush admin
because their numbers are the same?

man, it's difficult following the illogic of the irrational right. you're so f---ing stupid, and ignorant, and gullible. perfect suckers. and the proof is in the pudding in iraq, ditto brains.

Our (un)holy Cee once disputed that Bush never said God spoke to him and told him what to do as president.

God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them.

    oops, that was a mistake,
which will be swiftboated in moments.
    don't you know
that you can't site info from an opposition ideologue,
you can only site info from coalition ideologues.

News flash to all the liberals touting Richard Clark as a source, President Bush fired Richard Clark because his incompetence with regards to 9/11. Apparently Clark was to busy flying from junket to junket to be worried about terrorist flying planes into buildings. Being fired by Bush might give Clark a little bit of an axe to grind.

News flash to all the liberals touting Richard Clark as a source, President Bush fired Richard Clark because his incompetence with regards to 9/11.

    ---------------

Many sources online say Clarke was not fired, he quit -- in protest because of the Bush admin incompetence with regards to 9/11, before and after.

Websearch it yourself. It's a pretty easy find. But you'll dismiss each of the sources, as they do not come from Faux News.

Bottom line is this: you'll never get anywhere in life being a stupid lackey for the irrational right, if you constantly discredit the source of information, rather than debating the information itself.

Clarke says BushCO dropped the ball on the WOT.
BushCO says Clarke dropped the ball on the WOT.
    How's Afghanistan going?
    How's Iraq going?
    How's the WOT going?
(oh, but that's right, you morons are too stupid to realize when things ain't going so good).

    Cherry picked Generals?
Bushie- The generals OVERWHELMINGLY support not withdrawing. Who's cherry picking now bitch?

You have issues girl. You cherry pick all your sources.
    You got nothing girlfriend.

Go back to your cold garage and squat some more.
Those thighs are draining your brain of blood.

I'm such a deluded dumbass, I respond to my own comments.

I have no name, I hide in the shadows, somebody please find me, beat me up, and hang me from a lamppost so disadvantaged black youths can throw their expensive sneakers at me.

Must be why the president (Bush) gave him the medal of freedom.

Could you all please stay on topic and defend the
"Great One's" pure genius by resorting to depict in gruesome detail the flaccidity of Keith's dick?

This strategery, much like Iraq, is sure to succeed.
