Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    February 7, 2007
    Matthews Drop F-Bomb on Imus

It's not just about Keith over at MSNBC...

MSNBC continues to eat away at the tattered remains of the credibility of the NBC News brand - this time as MSNBC News Anchor Chris Matthews drops the F-Bomb on the Imus in the Morning show. The Imus show is on a 5 second delay on the radio but the MNSBC broadcast goes out live so there was no bleeping of the word "fuckin'" - used in this case as an adjective not a verb. And we have the video links.

Imus had asked Matthews about Guiliani. In the course of his typically long-winded response, Matthews said that he liked Guiliani the way he liked Ed Rendell. That they were "city guys" and that he (Matthews) was sick of these guys from the south with these "fucking ranches" (i.e., Bush).

Here are links to the video in RealPlayer format, Windows Media, and mp3 audio, courtesy of our friends at NewsBusters.

After seeing spittle trickling down this fools chin last week, "NOTHING" he says or does will surprise me. While I have someones ear, does anyone recall seeing Matthews last week questioning the intelligence, or lack thereof, of members in the Scooter Libby trial. It was early in the week, and his guest(?) just about fell of his chair before cajoling Matthews into retracting his statement. Would appreciate any help in digging up this info.

Chris Matthews is from the big city
He thinks ranches and farms are shitty
    One day of farm work
    Would silence this jerk
Urban man, just like Walter Mitty

How does this eat away at MSNBC's credibility? Matthews was quite accurate. Bush has a f---ing ranch in the south. Haven't you seen him clearing brush on television?

And to think, Matthews is the sane one on that network.

Bush is a man's man... Matthews is a pussy. nuf sed.

I have a sense that he is discriminating the southerner especially those who live in ranches. He is a big fan of Gulliani, we all know that. He wants him to run so bad. I guess is Gulliani is a liberal conservative, if he gets elected, does that mean this country to moving toward to the middle and eventually to the left. That is what he wants to see. Chris is a liberal at heart.

I would like to see Obama and Gulliani in 2008 election.

Cato Dumbass said: "How does this eat away at MSNBC's credibility?"

    1) A major anchor expresses his personal disgust with those who don't live/act like him (you know, backwoods country folk... with ranches). This makes him to appear not only partisan (comment was specifically aimed at Bush), but another (typical?) elitist liberal.

    2) A major anchor uses profanity in expressing the above opinion. This vulgarity lowers the level of discourse- the fact that it was done live on the air- only serves to prove that Matthews (and NBC as a whole) has become unhinged.

    3) MSNBC (and lately- NBC in general) has been labled as swinging to the far left in both its reporting and its opinion commentators. Matthew's rant simply provides more ammo for those of that opinion.

Matthews is Odormoronn's chief deputy disciple of the Hillary Clinton religious cult of kook fringe leftist conspiracy theorists. Matthews actually claimed that Paul Wolfowitz cooked up a conspiracy in the bowels of the Pentagon to funnel a dog collar to Army Private Lyndie England in Iraq so that England could place the dog collar around the neck of an Iraqi prisoner. Of course, like Odormoronn, Matthews provided no evidence to support his hysterical allegation.

    From http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/CA6413244.html?display=Search+Results&text=Take+Five

"Question: Do you consider Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews the faces of your network?

"MSNBC's DAN ABRAMS: I don't like to use terms like that. I would put Keith and Chris up against any of our competitors any night. We are all very comfortable and very proud to have them leading our coverage."

Ok, great answer...I am sure these two egomaniacs have different ideas.

Olbermann and Matthews ARE MSNBC....what a duo.

    cee (Curly)
"Faith means not wanting to know the truth" Nietzsche (used by leftist OW poster)

"I'd tell you that the Democrats are talking a good game, but they're not even doing that. Everybody in Congress has to understand something: If they continue to fund this war, it's not just the President who owns it. They own it, too." Sgt. Liam Madden

"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration’s policies in Iraq. Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back." NYT 1/28/07

"I think the Vietnamese are better off in Vietnam," George McGovern - NEWSWEEK

I don’t see Keith and Chris are great duo. They are in two extreme levels in politics; Chris is a PhD and Keith is still in first grade. Yeah, what a duo. I love to hear Chris lecturing Keith, “This is politics!” Live with it.

I am waiting to see this duo killing each other one day.

Chris and Keith is Ha! And Huh? Duo. What a lovely couple.

I guess this has now become MathewsWatch as well?

Chris Matthews enjoys peep shows with young lads.

No Mike, it's Idiot Watch actually...you fit right into the points of discussion, being a Giant Idiot yourself.

It is obvious that Chris Matthews and his doctor are haveing trouble regulating his meds....one day he is drooling all over himself on the air no less, he appears to be loosing weight and now he is having trouble controling his emotional and adrenal levels. I simply cant watch Chris at this time, it is to painful and uncomfortable for me and I suspect many others as well.

"1) A major anchor expresses his personal disgust with those who don't live/act like him (you know, backwoods country folk... with ranches). This makes him to appear not only partisan (comment was specifically aimed at Bush), but another (typical?) elitist liberal.

Being a Texan, I agree with point 1), although I would never consider Chris Matthews a "major anchor". Also, his partisanship has never been in question.

Point 2) is debatable. (Does calling me a dumbass raise the level of discourse?)

As for point 3), I understand that MSNBC has been labeled as such, but Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough are conservatives. Far left loons don't even like Chris Matthews. They only find Olbermann acceptable. The rest of the programming is too far right for them. MSNBC has given more airtime to critics of the Iraq War and the Bush Administration, but this does not make them far left. Disagreeing with the actions of a Republican administration does not make one liberal.

Having one of your pundits call our military men 'mecenaries' is lefty if not more in line with Al Jazeera

Well I guess for somebody that listens to his great leader! Oh I forgot somebody justs likes the format. Oh Excuse me........

Hey ! did that ax murderer show up yet to do Countdown? No! we don't care what his values are!
We just need him to follow the format okay! Yeah, Yeah just read this stuff we hand you. But, don't say it's from a blue blog.

Okay I'm back, Yeah what's the big deal with somebody from MSNBC dropping the "f" bomb on live T.V.? I think M.S.N.B.C. should start dropping the "f" and the "s" and the "b" bomb all day! That way some nud nick can come on here and say it doesn't matter how many bad words they use.

Which begs the question? If it doesn't matter what words you use? Then why did that actor from that t.v. show I don't watch have to go to "Bad Word Re-Hab"?

They should just move the show to M.S.N.B.C.!!!

Why does Chris Matthews hate Southern people?

That's pent up hate isn't it?

By the way, anybody find those two copy's of "Culture Warrior" for $25? on Amazon?

Oh thats right! It doesn't matter!

Just for the record. Rudy on Hannity & Colmes? Would not let Allan interview him.

Rudy. I love ya man! What you did in Times Square & 42nd street was miracle. But you can't take questions from Allan Colmes? And you want to run my country?

But if you went by some logic thrown around here. Rudy was on Hannity & Colmes. But it doesn't matter if he just got interviewed by Hannity.

Ya know this logic applied the right way......

    No bias in their democracy?
They live a life of hypocrisy
    Krazy Keith and Crass Chris
    Stockholders should dismiss
    The NBC aristocracy

As reported by the Beaver State’s KGW.com :
In the face of evidence agreed upon by hundreds of climate scientists, George Taylor holds firm. He does not believe human activities are the main cause of global climate change.
Taylor has held the title of "state climatologist" since 1991 when the legislature created a state climate office at OSU The university created the job title, not the state.
His opinions conflict not only with many other scientists, but with the state of Oregon's policies.
So the governor wants to take that title from Taylor and make it a position that he would appoint.
In an exclusive interview with KGW-TV, Governor Ted Kulongoski confirmed he wants to take that title from Taylor. The governor said Taylor's contradictions interfere with the state's stated goals to reduce greenhouse gases, the accepted cause of global warming in the eyes of a vast majority of scientists.

Any scientists who don't subscribe to the myth of global warming, beware of your job. You don't square with the socialist agenda.

EXON WILL GIVE THEM A JOB AND $10,000 BONUS TO SAY GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT HAPPENING. YOU HAVE LOST THAT BATTLE. GIVE IT UP.....GO READ BILL O'S NEW BOOK, "IF YOU DIDN'T FLEE, YOU MUST LIKE IT" AND TED HAGGERT'S BOOK "HOMO TO HETERO IN 21 DAYS."

It is fascinating to follow this site over a period of time to see just where it's biases lie, and more interestingly, who might be financing it...and why? Here is how it appears to me:

    1) - This web site follows Fox to the letter on just about everything. Now that Fox has mounted an all out attack attack on MSNBC, this site is following right along like a little puppy dog.

    2) - I don't recall ever reading anything even remotely critical of anything FOX does by the administrators of this site. By the same token, almost everything MSNBC does is fair game. These kind of good vs all bad comparisons are only valid in fairy tales, but if you were to believe this web site...Fox is our knight in shining armor and MSNBC is the dragon that needs to be slain.

    3) - I don't recall Johnny ever calling down ANY poster for anything, as long as his comments backed his general critical line, regardless of how sordid or inaccurate that commentary might be. One good example is how he actually backed up the straight from the gutter comments of JTM371's comments last week regarding the pleasing "smell of dead liberal gasbags". Of course, why would I be surprised by what anyone who would sink so low as to post what some radio announcer said about Keith's penis size, and then call such gutter talk a 'smackdown"? Can you spell C L A S S?

Maybe you at least understand how people like myself have felt about Fox 'news' for the last 5 - 10 years, with it's obvious bias that tilts so ridiculously far to the right that it needs to be braced just to keep it from toppling into the mud. Fox is offensive to those of us who really understand the words "fair and balanced".

In fact, I can't help but wonder just how much of a hand Fox itself had in turning public opinion in favor of the Iraq Invasion...the very thing that is tearing us apart at the present.

Trust me, that is anything but a 'good' legacy!

Now that a network dares to lean in the other direction a little, and you people respond with an all out attack, complete with smut, smears, profanity, etc. Anything and everything is fair game to you.

The video is already out at Newsbusters...

Chris' hatred of things rural and Southern is a fairly common trait in people who grew up as liberals in the northeast in the 1950s, 60s and early 70s. Former Newsday columnist Jimmy Breslin -- far more liberal than Matthews -- hates Bill and Hillary Clinton with a passion that pre-dates the 2000 election; Bill because of his triangulation and Hillary because she made her name in Arkansas and then stole the Senate spot that should have naturally gone to a native (liberal Democrat) New Yorker.

In their eyes, not even a southern liberal politician is beyond suspicion or hidden contempt, so a successful southern conservative pol is really going to make the bile well up inside. Add to that mix Bush's not only owning a ranch, but owning one in Texas, where northeastern liberals still believe in the back of their minds that every living adult in the state in November 1963 (other than Dan Rather and Molly Ivins) had a personal hand in the assassination of President Kennedy, and you get the inability to contain yourself on air like Chris demonstrated this morning on the Imus show.

    Mike,
Lets remind you again that this is Olbermann Watch, not Fox watch. Why would Johnny blog about Fox on an Olbermann watch web site?
You seem to ingnor the fact that a blogger just destroyed your argument on the Libby trial yesterday. Now you are wanting a fair and balanced Olbermann Watch. Try searching the web for a Fox Watch blog. I am sure there are some out there.

"The video is already out at Newsbusters..."

    That's pretty damn funny.

That's it. I want to hear Matthews interview Cheney on satellite radio. No holds barred.

    That's just great.

No Factor, only in your mind did a blogger 'destroy' my argument yesterday about the Libby trial yesterday. I believe what I believe, and he believes what he believes, it's no more complicated than that.

Since you pointed out this is Olbermann Watch, try explaining the attack on Mathews that this very thread is dedicated to?

Your pen name 'Factor' says everything about you and your biases.

Since the subject came up here this is what I posted a little bit ago.

Karris 56, very good account of the facts that led to the Scooter Libby trial.

Only two important facts that you left out. Richard Armitage, No 2 official behind Colin Powell, reported to then Secretary of State Colin Powell within two or three days of Novak's second columnn mentioning Plame, that he leaked Plame's status as an employee of the CIA. Note, she was not covert.

Fitzpatrick was informed of this by Colin Powell within three days of being appointed Special Prosecutor. Powell, Armitage and Fitzpatrick kept this secret while the MSM had an open ended orgy of accusations and wild theories re V P Cheney and Karl Rove being hatchet men.

Here is the link to an MSNBC article revealing all of this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14533384/site/newsweek/

I always had a great deal of respect for Colin Powell. This affair left me with a bad taste and utter contempt for him now.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

    Sorry, Fitzpatrick is Fitzgerald.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

    Mike,
Chris Mathews is on the blog because he is an Olberloon clone and is competing with Olberfool to see who can give LSDNBC a bigger black eye. The difference between Fox and NBC is that Fox has liberal and conservative viewpoints. NBC has all liberal all the time and tries to hide them as " Military Analyst" or "Journalist". Fox does not call Sean Hannity a "Journalist" or a "Military" analyst.

What's the big deal? I'm sick of these f---in' ranchers too.

"Add to that mix Bush's not only owning a ranch"

Bush DOESN'T OWN A RANCH! The media calls it a "ranch", but for it to be ranch President Bush would have to have livestock there. Otherwise it is a "farm".

Take it from a fella who grew up around a lot of Future Farmers Of America and a lot of cattle ranches...

What's the big deal? I'm sick of these f---in' ranchers too.

Might want ready a place to start killing your own cows, chickens and the like there son.

rather kill the ones on Bush's estate... that is ranch.

    Factor:

The tired old arguments about why Fox is better or vice versa have been hashed and rehashed a least a thousand times on this board, as well as who is 'liberal, and who is 'conservative'. I'd love to indulge you once again, but I think everybody else on this blog is probably sick of the same circular arguments made over and over again.

One 'new' thing you said that I've never heard ANYONE say before is that Mathews is "an Oberloon clone". You are probably the only one on here who would believe anything as ridiculous as that.

While neither is conservative, they have virtually nothing else in common, except the network they work for.

Once again, your cute little pen name 'Factor', exposes you and your biases. Ever thought about changing that?

No, Mike, I won't change it. It pisses off the Liberals too much. I know that Fox pisses the Liberals off more than anything Bush does because Fox invades their sacred cow, the media. It exposes that they are not really for free speech, just for liberal speech. I will give you credit though Mike. You actually think before you blog, unlike Buskkill Falls and Kurt Kissle.

It may sound illogical, but why would anyone in their right mind want another president who owns a 'ranch' after what this one has put us through?

I don't want to sound "anti- Texas", but does anyone else see the Irony of the two Texas 'Rancher' presidents, one a Democrat (Johnson), and the other a Republican (Bush), having created the twin fiascos of Vietnam and Iraq?

I'll never look at "brush cutting' the same way again.

Mike, that comment goes beyond illogical well into the realm of fantastical.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

    Factor:

Trust me, your name 'Factor' doesn't "piss me off" at all, although I can't speak for others.

I am also very much for free speech, one of the very reasons I oppose this administration. I don't want censorship of ANY kind in my country.

I have personally tolerated and laughed at Fox's biases for years but their relatively new campaign of attacking other media is a little bothersome. I watched Fox for several hours a week or so ago, and every single show did the same thing....they went after the other media.

Yes, I am well aware that Olbermann does it too, and frankly I wish he would stop, but I don't see Mathews doing that.

Well, Mike, I'm not too happy about it either. Still, I don't think it's a reflection on Texas. At least, I hope it's not.

Dwight Eisenhower was born here, so it is possible to have a good President with a Texas connection.

    Janet:

You may see that comment as 'fantastical', but it is simple historical fact.

The next 'rancher' from Texas may well turn out to be a peace loving diplomat, but the last two clearly were not.

Illogical as it might be, I certainly would not want to take the chance at this point, if it were up to me.

Ya know if you took the total I.Q. of Matthews, Olby, John Kerry and one or two that post on this site you would be hard pressed to come up with a decent BOWLING SCORE.

    Posted by Mikey:

    -End Quote-

I knew you were stupid but this post just show how stupid you really are. To sit here and be critical of Fox News and defend Olberman and Mathews just shows how damned stupid you really are. Fox News may be a little to the right but at least they are fair and give equal
time to the other side. They rarely have a single conservative guest without a voice from the left. Hell, O'Reilly will have two liberals on at one time. Olberman has not had a single guest that opposes his view. Not a single one. If they don't swing
from his nuts they don't get on his show. He is so far left he makes Mike MOore look conservative. Foxnews doesn't carry that big of a market share compared to teh big 3 dumbass and pales to last place CBS. I guess idiots like you think Dan Rather and GW's Antional Guard records was not a biased report out to cost GW the election and try to change the outcome of an election. It just shows how friggin stupid people like you are. Then to think GW blew up the Trade Centers. To even think George Bush could have that kind of evil in him is not stupid, it's insane. You and the like should not be walking around in public.

Now for the post a couple of days ago.

    1. You are the first one to call someone names. I've read enough of your posts.

    2. You called me a neanderthal plus other derogatory names trying to insult me (you can't do it I might add) but when I call you a pussy you fly all to hell threatening me. I never threatened you. Then your fairy buddy said he called out some dude and he never showed. Well, you know where I live and that invitation is also to Mr. Badass.

    3. Then either you or blindrat back your own post up by calling me a Internet warrior when I was not acting like a badass. Then you tell me I'd wouldn't say it to your face. You don't know me. For all you know I'm 6'8" and weigh 300 pounds of solid muscle. Hell I'm so big my dick has a ribcage.

    4. You whine about people on here and there views and support for Fox News.

I say why in the hell do you visit. Are you friggin stupid? Do you oppose someone's right to post what they beleive. Do you think everyone should like
a liar like Olbyloon. I hate to break it to ya but the world doesn't spin around Mikey and Olbyloon. You do know you are on a site that doesn't agree with Olbyloon?
You are surely stupid. YOu think MSNBC has leaned a little to the left. Bull shit. Have they done a segment on Sandy Burglar? SHit no. ALl they are trying to do
now is make some shit up from the Libby trial. Cheney and Rove have been investigated time and time again and there is nothing there. Plus, the fact that Plame is no more a secret agent
that Maxwell Smart makes this case even more ridiculous. Then you have Olbyloon, Mathews, NBC, MSNBC and David Korn plus that ugly assed Bob Schrum or Eleanor Cliff trying
to make shit up it is all the more ridiculous. But, they surely have you fooled but that aint hard to do is it.

As far as me calling you a pussy to your face, you're right. I wouldn't. By the time you got neanderthal out of your mouth you'd be spitting put your teeth. How big of an old boy are ya?
I'm sure you are the stuff legends are made. Look up legend in the dictionary ace. And while you are in there look up terrorism because your face is plastered all over each defintion. The truth is I'm a skinny fart, 6'1" and 180. You'd make a mistake like a lot of people. I doubt I'd have any trouble with some out of shape, pot bellied, balding liberal. When I said I was an engineer and a Navy pilot I was called a liar right off. Doesn't bother me. I know who I am, what I've done and where I'm going. I'm damned glad of where I stand unlike you. I have no complaints. I probably made more money by the time I turned 40 than you'll make in your life time. I've already made a million dollars in my life and you'll never come close by the time they cover you up. You say you were a veteran. Anyone can post anything. I want call you a liar but I have me doubts. There are some things for sure, liberals are liars, liberals are whiners, liberals aint making it in this world, liberals are standing around waiting on a free living, liberals want to place the blame on someone else for their shortcomings. My proof, well, um, look at you, blindrat, codas and O'lielly. So, I have reservations of anything you say. There lies the big difference. When I tell you who I am you are damned scared it's the truth. Me, I could care less about you. YOu are jealous of what you call a lie. Bwahahahaha.

I'll apologise for calling you a pussy. Afterall, how can someone actaully be a pussy. I think the truth is you are closer to Danny DeVitos shorter twin brother, a little shorter, a little fatter and I bet the top of your head shines like the sun or you are a liberal bitch.

    Mr. Neanderthal.

Mike, at least you are true to yourself in your fear that Texas, ranchers and war go together to the point that you recoil at the idea of another one.

As you said to me some time back, EMOTION is your driving force and rightfully so in your political decisions.

    Matthews Drops F-Bomb on Imus!!!

WHAT IS THIS COUNTRY COMING TO?!?!

This deserves another self-righteous rant parading
    as patriotism!

Including a stern condemnation of the extreme secular progressive agenda that intends to destroy our f---in ranches!!

    SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!

    Brick:

While I saw you last post. I didn't bother to read it, nor will I read any other drivel you post (really).

Your drivel hurts your own cause and doesn't require any more comment from me.

    Janet:

I used to listen to Limbaugh regularly a few years ago (before he lost all credibility by bcoming a drug addict).

I clearly recall how he used to preach that "conservatives use rational thought', while "liberals use emotion". Funny thing, I actually used to believe it at the time.

I have come to find out over time, that in general, the opposite is true.

One very important exception though: If you can't look at the prospect of war, with the inevitable death of good people with some emotion, then I can't help but question your humanity.

That said, the Texas warmonger thing can actually be argued using pure logic. There is nothing emotional about the laws regarding trends and probabilities.

One has to wonder how long a left wing network such as NBC will continue to employ dumbass and dumbasser. ( Matthews and Olbermann )

Fox news is less conservative than MSNBC is intolerably leftist.

    Brick,
I am giving you a standing ovation right now.

Hey Mike, have you stopped watching Robert Downey Jr. movies because he's a drug addict.

We thought we provided the most balanced election night coverage last November with Matthews and lil' Keith.

There's a rumor that Keith is a eunuch
Or so says a doctor in Munich.
He was there for a while
Where he learned the " Seig Heil "
    And purchase a fuhrer-signed tunic.

Mike, what has Rush Limbaugh got to do with my reminding YOU of your OWN WORDS to ME re your emotions in your political positions.

You said it and I responded in the sense of how dangerous that is when faced with real evil.

What others say and do do not excuse you or place an onus on others. This is such a simple and logical point. Bill O, Hannity, Rush, Coulter etc do not give KO free reign and a pass on taking responsibility for HIS WORDS AND ACTIONS.

And that goes for you, me and everyone else.

    Janet:

I was just using Limbaugh as an example of some of the false conservative arguments I used to believe myself, only to find out they were nothing but BS.

Just ask my wife, I rarely use emotion as a basis for anything I do or believe...much to her chagrin at times! In fact, I worked in an electronics and engineering field most of my career, where logic is everything and emotion is nothing.

That said, once again...when it comes to making decisions as grave as sending Americans off to WAR, and considering all the dire consequences of such, the rules have to change. Emotion has to be a major part of any equation involving war, and I can't help but question the humanity of anyone who believes otherwise.

How about this for a new slogan on the "F' Bomb Channel

Chris Matthews is a sick man.

Just a thought, if I switched from being a Libertarian to being a Democrat. Could I start dropping the "F" bomb all over the place and not risk ending up in "Bad Word Re-Hab?"

    Mike,

You are full of it. You have no idea what is going on in your own mind. That's why every time I ask any one of you "what are you for?" you all go into a tizzy, a bigger tizzy than the one you are in every minute of every day. You are the tizzy that you are in.

"Hey Mike, have you stopped watching Robert Downey Jr. movies because he's a drug addict."

Aww shit, just when I thought the debate level on this site couldn't possibly sink any lower pat Fegan's dumbass is back.

Lighten up Mike; Brick put some good effort into that post. I will applaud a liberal on civil dialogue, but I will always cheer for a conservative who defends himself with good old American red meat.

Well, there goes debate. No more point by point anlaysis for a while. Just stupid limmericks, and calling others fags. All Pat is capable of really.

Evidently, everyone from Imus' show found Matthews' f-bomb hilarious based on the giggling and "I guess we f'ed up" comment. Sophomoric is an understatement. I hope the FCC is fine is ENORMOUS. Now THAT will be funny!

    puck,

The answer is "no". Bad Word Rehab is run by Republicans and politically correct Democrats.

Guys stay on Subject. This site is OLBERMANN WATCH. Not Hardball watch. let's get back to talking about the wonderful great, Keith Olbermann and his penchant for making conservatives look silly.

The FCC has no jurisdiction over cable networks. They shouldn't be fined.

For the Jim Jones Sect. that hangs out here.

Yes, Libertarian is to the right of Carl Marx.

By the way, did you know?

The Communist Manifesto was first published in 1848.

Wow! If it's that old it must really be a bible to some.

That little bit of history is for some with attention span of a Union grocery store worker from New Jersey. Who, says "Wow! Really?" when someone points out that Bill O'Reilly is not a lawyer.

    What a genius!

Every day on this blog, I see so called 'conservatives' posting stereotypical images of 'liberals' that are nothing but a load of bull.

These fools are dumb enough to think they know all about 'liberalism' and who 'liberals' really are, what their lifestyles are, and how they think, blah, blah, blah, ... when the truth is, they don't know jack s**t!

Later I turn on some blowhard like Hannity, who spews out the same old stereotypical bulls**t, over and over again. My dad used to tell me...tell a lie long enough and often enough, and people will believe it. No truer words were ever spoken.

As soon as some of you so called 'conservatives' get over this bullcrap idea that you are actually capable of psychoanalyzing 'liberals', we might actually get somewhere.

No I read it. I just decided to chant the site mantra. I usually see it when someone brings up facts pertaining to bias at Fox news.

"Matthews said that he liked Guiliani, the way he liked Rendell."

    Say what?

One actually did something good and didn't raise taxes through the roof. And give tons of cardboard checks to businesses, (Corporate Welfare anyone?) and cleaned up crime and made the streets safe to walk again.

And the other? Just a master at 3 Card Monte.

Follow the lady, find the lady, follow the tax hike, find the tax hike.

Oh that Fast Eddie!!!! he's so good! He doesn't need a marker to show up to help sucker in the shills.

I don't recall calling anyone a fag. I do remember a Olbermann luster here who was homosexual calling me Pat Fag, which was simply hilarious. I am partial to limericks, though.

Opps! I mean shills are marks. Marks are shills.

Mike, by your reasoning I lack humanity.

By my reasoning you lack the ability to distinguish maudlin emotionalism from reality and the cold hard choices that determine ultimately the best outcome.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

Matthews certainly made a mistake using bad language on the air. He should apologize.

However, his statement about being excited about a "city guy" Republican presidential candidate is utterly innocuous.

For the last decade Republican candidates have been Dole, McCain, Bush. They have farms or ranches...whatever. Matthews is from Philly, it's not bias to think he'd get excited about a candidate from a big urban area.

How that's managed to be extrapolated into his having a bias against the south is beyond me...

    Janet:

The people you admire failed to consider the reality of the inevitable "maudlin emotionalism" that they would stir up on both sides of the Atlantic, in the process of making their "cold hard choices".

And that in a nutshell, is why we no longer have the option of 'ultimately' achieving "the best outcome". This is the new 'reality'.

Matthews/Olbermann are the Beavis/Butthead of tv "news" show hosts... complete with f-bombs.

    I screen all my guests
    No dissent on the set!

    Can Matthews get fined??

    Matthews or Imus??

"MSNBC continues to eat away at the tattered remains of the credibility of the NBC News brand"

You'd prefer all news had a conservative slant, like Fox?

What is his deal with Southern guys with f---ing ranches? Is this all Southerners with f---ing ranchs or just Bush?

I think many of us would prefer MSNBC would stop the hilarious chirade of objectivity and become fair and balanced like the #1 cable news network.

chris matthews is annoying. keith olbermann is annoying. chris matthews is not keith olbermann last time i checked though.

"What is his deal with Southern guys with f---ing ranches? Is this all Southerners with f---ing ranchs or just Bush?"...anon 6:07.

I don't know, I can't speak for Mathews but maybe he just meant all Southerners with 'f---ing' ranches that get to be president...and then do something really 'f---ing' stupid like start an unnecessary war that turn into a fiasco, and a National tragedy.

That exclusive little club seems to be limited to Bush AND Johnson (Iraq & Vietnam).

I don't think cable networks are subject to the same obscenity guidelines as non-cable broadcast outlets. Imus/Matthews could have gotten fined if the f-word were broadcast on the radio show, but apparently it was bleeped.

Chris Mathews is different type of animal. Mathews is just your run of the mill liberal hack that LSDNBC props up as a journalist. Keith Olbermann is a true sociopath. He sees himself as a god like intellectual and can't understand why his ratings are so low. He is obsessed with discrediting his competition. He is like Captain Ahab and Bill O'Reilly is the white whale.

Once again, the elites at MSNBC have demonstrated their contempt by cursing at the average ranch-owning american.
That is the reason why on this evening's "Talking Points" I demand again that Mr. Immelt fire the entire staff of NBC and turn over its facilities to Fox News, so that we may try to heal the injury they have inflected upon Dear Leader Busholinni and every God fearing American.

Just who the f--- does Chris Matthews think he is?
The f---in Vicepresident Dick on the f---in senate floor?

    And that's a memo.

Scott Norvell London bureau chief for Fox News admits bias:

"Even we at Fox News manage to get some lefties on the air occasionally, and often let them finish their sentences before we club them to death and feed the scraps to Karl Rove and Bill O'Reilly. And those who hate us can take solace in the fact that they aren't subsidizing Bill's bombast; we payers of the BBC license fee don't enjoy that peace of mind.

Fox News is, after all, a private channel and our presenters are quite open about where they stand on particular stories. That's our appeal. People watch us because they know what they are getting. The Beeb's institutionalized leftism would be easier to tolerate if the corporation was a little more honest about it."

Please, Mike, do what no liberal has been able to do before: prove Fox's rank right wing bias. Just one rule. No naming of people who admit that they are conservative or liberal. That leaves you with the anchors and the folks out in the field. Ready, set, Go!

Are you capable of forming an opinion without ascribing moral turpitude to those who disagree with you?

It must be comforting to be so morally superior in your own mind. How sad that you are not recognised in your own time as the universal arbiter of righteousness.

    Janet Hawkins
    AKA Grammie

Imagine the outrage if Matthews had made a condescending remak about "homies" being from the "ghetto"? Elitist self loathing of the white southern male is what has cost the democrats the southern vote.

    Janet:

First of, I don't have a clue what you mean when you say "I skip from point to so called point to point." If you're referring to my stand on issues, I haven't changed one iota...just your understanding of my arguments.

Yes, I have argued against this war AND this surge in moral terms and will continue to do so because I REALLY DO CARE about each individual soldier who has yet to die, and I want it to stop - NOW!... You seem to have a problem with my position on that, and then you defend yourself by calling this an 'emotional' response...but that's YOUR problem, not mine.

You don't seem to think the argument should be framed in moral terms, as if it doesn't matter at all to you how many more have to die in a war that should have never been fought in the first place. Those are not just numbers over there getting killed; They are REAL Americans who will never know the joy of raising a family and building a life!

Like I told you before, you cannot separate war from emotion, or emotion from war. If you don't understand that, than I don't understand you! And yes, sorry, but I can't help but question your humanity.

"Imagine the outrage if Matthews had made a condescending remak about "homies" being from the "ghetto"? Elitist self loathing of the white southern male is what has cost the democrats the southern vote. "

He didn't say he had a problem with Republicans. He said he had a problem with ranchers.

You know something we're not considering here (or maybe someone has and I missed the post)is the Imus is from Texas and owns a ranch.

Imus went off on a tear the other day about Matthews and Olbermann being insecure, maybe this is Chris' way of getting in a dig about being sick of southern guys who own ranches.

Although Chris Matthews is an agressive personality, when it comes to dealing with co-workers, that agression is manifested as passive-agression...

    here's those spare g's.

    sorry

O'Reilly and Olbermann are the yin and yan of cable news. One makes you laugh, the other makes you cry, then they switch.

WOW you guys are REALLY starting to stretch to find ways to complain about MSNBC. So he accidentally let the word "f---" slip, who cares? Have none of you ever used that word before, or said it by mistake when you shouldn't have? How in the name of God does this affect MSNBC's credibility? Some of you are sad, sad people.

isn't using the F-BOMB against some FCC regulation, and will anyone either MSNBC or Matthews be fined for this

"isn't using the F-BOMB against some FCC regulation, and will anyone either MSNBC or Matthews be fined for this"

Could you please read the thread before posting?

For the third time IN THIS THREAD, cable channels are not subject to the same regulations as networks. The FCC doesn't have the authority to regulate the cable channels for indecency.

This is the reason that the democtrats cannot win one f---ing southern state......their utter contempt for the "white southern male". f--- Matthews, f--- the democratic party, and f--- NBC for not even trying to hide this fack

    Nice site. Thank you.

"Imus had asked Matthews about Guiliani. In the course of his typically long-winded response, Matthews said that he liked Guiliani the way he liked Ed Rendell. That they were "city guys" and that he (Matthews) was sick of these guys from the south with these "f---ing ranches" (i.e., Bush)."

Was this supposed to be evidence of liberal bias? His message does not imply he displikes Republicans; it implies he dislikes Bush.

If that is viewpoint it is hardly unique %70 of the country feels the same way. Including many Republicans.

Rewrote. hopefully without the spelling errors.

looks like reading though the thread a little more carefully that my argument has been covered multiple times. And here I was thinking I said something new. Oh well, ignore.
