So I go to visit one of my favorite sites this afternoon, olbermannwatch.com, and it moves me to a RIP page. Is this just a bad joke? You are letting the liberal olberidiots win by shutting down your site. I can understand your reasons for wanting to close the site down, that it is sometimes counterproductive to the mission of OW in that it gets more people to watch Countdown and therefore--possibly artificially--increases his ratings. Even so, it saddens me to see this site being shut down.

Though I rarely posted due to the nonsensical ramblings of many "olbyloons" I visited the site every morning to keep my eye on what Olbermann was doing so that I could more accurately know about his biases. There were many times that I referred people on billoreilly.com to OW to help show them they type of person Olbermann is. I am now going to have to watch the segments of Countdown on msnbc.com, like I usually do, and pay more attention to what he says and to what his guests say.

Truly, I hope you all will reconsider, although it seems like this decision is fairly final. But I will continue to hope. Good luck to you all.

I can say with 100% certainty that I was quite disappointed to come home today from work and find the website no longer with us. Beyond the distain for Mr. Olbermann's "journalistic ethics", I truly found this forum to be a valuable asset for the debating and exchanging of ideas.

In spite of contracts being renewed, I do believe that there is a place in the cyberworld for what you have brought to all of us. Without question, I would respect your decision if you chose to not bring it back to life, but hope that you have second thoughts.

I sincerely hope the shutdown was not a financial decision as it would have been easy to get funding for it from fans. Closing your site is the media equivalent of an immediate pullout of U.S. forces from Iraq. It is an admission of defeat. If you cannot maintain the site due to your other obligations, then so be it and I wish you good luck. But if it is, as you state in the RIP, due to your concern that the site has done more harm than good....then I totally disagree. I started out just as a reader, saved me from having to have to watch it, one of the best things about it!
