With all deference to David Letterman...enjoy the first in what will be a series of "Great Moments in Broadcast Journalism".
The video is no longer available?
My bad! It's still working!
when you first upload a file to youtube it can take a while to be available. It is available now but for my it plays slightly out of sync. That is a YouTube issue because my quicktime version works fine on my laptop.
Cronkite and Murrow were the real deals. All Olbermann can do is rip off Murrow expressions. He's a pale imitator of these two legends who can never hope to be one-one thousandth as good as they are.
I read the YT site and the FAQ says that uploading Quicktime Movies can cause a sync issue and they recommending uploading mp4 so I am now trying that.
This is very very funny, please keep 'em coming!!! Guranteed to drive Mr. O. crazy!
I swapped out the quicktime movie for the mpeg-4 video and the sync problem is gone on my end.
What did Keith say? I couldn't make it out.
Keith began his interview with Bill Clinton a few months ago by first handing Clinton a check.
KO: "Here's eight more schools in Kenya for me"
That was cute!
Watching the Edward R. Murrow piece, isn't it interesting that Murrow actually interviewed McCarthy! Actually had him on and let him speak for himself.
Olbermann would have said it all to Craig Crawford, commiserated with John Dean, or done a "special comment"...
Yeah, Edward R. Murrow broke bread ... Keith Olbermann brakes checks.
if anyone has any other funny clips of Olby please email me - I am interested in the video of him in the raincoat but any other kooky Keith snippets are welcome - either as a file or as a link to where I can find the file.
New York Post gives it Five Stars!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the more incredibly unprofessional moments from KO -right up there with the absolutely shameless Elizabeth Edwards story. "Yeah, sure, her cancer's back, but the real story here is that she called me once!"

Olbermann Watchers will remember that Olbermann managed to work himself into his report on Peter Jennings' cancer too.
Not sure I'm getting this. There are tons of video out there of Keith doing such things as lying, calling people names, and displaying hypocracy. And you show a video of him giving a check for charity? Is Robert Cox on Keith's payroll?
Are you THAT dense "Steve"? You don't hand a check to a subject before you interview them (or afterwards either). That's called "checkbook journalism" and it's against every single ethical standard that real journalists are supposed to have. It was also another example of Olbermann's immense ego. If he just HAD to give a contribution, couldn't he have done that OFF camera? No, he had to make sure that everyone knew about it. He constantly interjects HIMSELF into the stories he does. While YOU may think him handing Clinton a check makes him look good, I can assure you that it does not.
"Here's a check for eight more schools"
