    Chris Matthews Zing Keith Olbermann

Chris Matthews zings Keith Olbermann over Keith's unwillingness to interview people with views different from his own saying about Zell Miller and Mike Gravel "both entitled to speak by the way on Hardball"

    Bush Supporters!!

(Bob, that was sooo lame. Of course, we know you did your best.)

God, Keith is terrible when he's not behind his desk. He can't even form a proper sentence.

yea patty, posting the same thing over and over, that's real intelligent. Time for your pudding and pill lunch! You know what that means, gotta put the straight jacket back on!

Odd... the Bush Supporters deny they are such.
Yet they come out barking rabidly when addressed by their first name.

    (That means you, BovineQueen)

    Thank you Bob!!

Oh come on...that was funny. I liked how Matthews is smiling the whole time as he sticks the knife in. Priceless.

    Pure Gold !

The Tremendously Flabby Ass that is the anchor of MSNBC.

How somebody so flat-footed can be considered a sports commentator or "annalist" is beyond laughable, never mind being promoted as an NBC news contributing annalist.

Bob, let's agree on one thing first.

KO is no Chris Matthews. Fact.

But if you think KO is relentless with his assaults on the Bu$hwipe administration, you ought to start a "Chris Matthews Watch" site and invite your "citizen journalist friends" over.

Let's see you and your friends screaming and howling every time C.M. rips you Bush Supporters a new one.

Remember your lame entry about C.M. "dropping the F-bomb" in the Imus show?
That was one earth shattering event!
And thank God you are here to alert us!

AAP: I know you may find this hard to believe, but one can hate Bush & FOXnews and still see what a hack Olbermann is.

You think folks here don't know that Matthews is critical of the war and of the Bush Administration or that they haven't taken issue with some of his conclusions in the past?

The point is that Matthews practices what he preaches when he says.. "They [Miller and Gravel] come at this from very DIFFERENT directions. BOTH entitled to speak....by the way.... on Hardball".

That's why an Olbermann Watch is necessary while a Hardball Watch would just repeat opposition opinion that Matthews already airs.

AAP: I know you may find this hard to believe, but one can hate Bush & FOXnews and still see what a hack Olbermann is.
Posted by: at April 27, 2007 3:10 PM

    Really?

"one can hate Bush & FOXnews and still see what a hack Olbermann is."

Can we run the list, from both sides, please?

Nawhhh, what for... I'll take the Billdo's word for it.

    It's the "lbrul, anti-american media"!
It is not every fugging self-appointed pundit (that includes you, Bob) out to make a buck while protecting us the unsuspecting Joes.

But there is yet another possibility:

Could K.O. be gone tomorrow and the Bush Supporters remain Bush Supporters?

Gawd... I was heart broken during this site's brief interruption... I thought you Bush Supporters were going to be placed on the ugly endangered species list... which nobody gives
    a rat's ass for.

Infighting at MSDNC? From Chris ("both entitled to speak by the way on Hardball") Matthews, to Keith ("dumber than a suitcase full of rocks") Olbermann, and the former Don ("skank") Imus, it certainly must be a pleasurable work environment.

    AAP,

I'm never completely sure of what the hell point you're making, other than that you don't like Bush Supporters, but this is a little more cryptic than usual.

    Cecelia sez:

    Nope!

It's called "info-taiment." A very misleading hybrid indeed.

Matthews presents a political analysis show. Matthews has torn apart politicos from both sides. No fluff.
And you Bush Supporters don't look too good after the political analysis.

K.O.? Mostly fluff. Entertainment. A few, after the news have broken, commentaries.

Then we have the perverse joy from giants as:

    "Know something about Keith Olbermann?
    Send it to us!"

"Oh come on...that was funny. I liked how Matthews is smiling the whole time as he sticks the knife in. Priceless.

That's why I rely on Fox News.

    Not.

patty, why don't you start a blog and call it "Bush Supporters" and you can make a "buck" or 2, maybe.

AAP: Dude you make absolutely no sense.

'K.O.? Mostly fluff. Entertainment. A few, after the news have broken, commentaries."

You'd better let MSLSD in on this revelation. Their website touts Olby as the "anchor" of a "news" show.

    commentaries.

Posted by: Average American Patriot at April 27, 2007 4:07 PM

MSNBC might wish to argue with that AAP, seeing how they've made him a co-moderator with Matthews in doing political coverage and analysis.

But if you say that Olbermann's interviews and news analysis are "fluff", you won't get any disagreement from me...

"That's why an Olbermann Watch is neccessary..."

OW may be many many many many things, but only in some retarded bizarro world is it "neccessary."

I admit to being slightly fond of the term "Bushwipe." Is that wrong? But what is a "Bushwipe?" Is it in general usage or just an OW thing?

AAP: I know you may find this hard to believe, but one can hate Bush & FOXnews and still see what a hack Olbermann is.

Yeah, I'd say that Olbermann Watch would rate fairly low on Erikson's Developmental Goals scale--or maybe quite high-- self actualization....

The comparision was to AAP's suggestion of a possible Matthews Watch.

Posted by: Cecelia at April 27, 2007 3:43 PM

    Simple.

Bob (thank you for the site!) is picking on what everyone already knows, K.O. is no C.M.

    Big F-ing News.

While the useful idiots keep making excuses and nit-picking, irregardless of the news:

"An active duty U.S. Army officer has taken the unusual step of openly criticizing the way generals have handled the
Iraq war, accusing them of failing to prepare their forces for an insurgency and misleading Congress about the situation here."

Oh, wait... Bob, Johnny, Brandon, Levine, et al need to show the world that they collectively have a bigger dick than Keith's, when they aren't wishing a speedy death to those who disagree with them.

(here it is, for you Bush Supporters that don't read,
    blast me for the "irregardles")

    Please Bob explain:

    >Oh come on...that was funny.

    >I liked how Matthews is smiling the whole >time as he sticks the knife in.
    >Priceless.
    >Posted by: Robert Cox at April 27, 2007 >2:38 PM

    Damn, Bob!

You wish you were Matthews smiling while you stick the knife in?

You have shown us you are a greater psychopath than BovineQueen.

    Thank you Bob!

It's in general usage on blogs, but I admire what I think is AAP's own creative touch in making the S into capitalist pig $.

Sorry, Cecelia, that still sounds like you think OW is 'necessary.'

Necessary to someone who's 'been here since the inception' and had thoughts of hanging from her shower rod when it was on hiatus, perhaps.

    Laughing My Ass Off

    (Not Necessary, but Highly Recommended)

www.Bush Supporters.com isn't available. I just checked. It's owned by a Florida hosting service. I guess it must have bought to keep it from being used against Jeb. So I'm guessing "Bush Supporters" is a broader more accepted term.

When I'm being disdainful of this group, I'm going to continue to call you "owwies," but if anyone would prefer just ask and I will use "Bushwipe" instead.

    Oh, dear...

    "Not Necessary, but Highly Recommended"

    My feelings exactly.

Hey Cecelia, Why is Olbermann Watch necessary when you can just shout counterpoints at your TV?

...Or you could just tune in to FOX for said 'counterpoints.'

I know you say you do not watch Fox, but you've never, to my knowledge, explained why.

If you're so hungry for counterpoints to what you call DNCTV, and they are readily availble, why not watch Fox?

When I'm being disdainful of this group, I'm going to continue to call you "owwies," but if anyone would prefer just ask and I will use "Bushwipe" instead.

Posted by: VOK at April 27, 2007 5:54 PM

    Because I perfer MSNBC's lineup.

There's prime reasoning for you.... Yes, it is a puzzle why journalism has ever placed an emphasis on balance or on allowing someone accused on air to answer charges leveled against them on that program.

Afterall, the public could always just subscribe to National Review or The Nation.

    Owwww Cecelia!

    No. Wrong Again.

    It's about Johnny $, ehr, Johnny Bu$hwipe!

And BTW, you Bush Supporters are giving capitalism a bad name.

GAWD DARN GEORGE SORE-A$$ AND HIS USE OF PURE F-UGGIN CAPITAL TO MAKE EVEN MORE CAPITAL!!

Bu$hwipe in chief is no capitalist.
Bu$hwipe is throwing good money after bad money... oh, wait.... that's his biography.

    Capisce?

    >Because I perfer MSNBC's lineup.

If this is true, then when you say 'DNCTV' you are just referring to Countdown and not MSNBC, Right?

I just knew you'd come back and say 'I didn't mean THAT kind of necessary...'

    Laughing My Ass Off!

Yeah, my world Rocks Cecelia, but it's not because of you.

If this is true, then when you say 'DNCTV' you are just referring to Countdown and not MSNBC, Right?

Oh, wait... you have already side stepped that one.

    DANCE BU$HIPES!! DANCE!!

Zell Miller and Mike Gravel are Democrats, so of course they would be welcome on Countdown. By the way, why is the audio on all of these Olbermannwatch Videos always terrible?

    Question for Cecelia:

Since you say you like MSNBC sans KO, I'm curious how often you actually watch Countdown.

I know Mike made a post a while ago that insinuated you watch it nearly every night it's on...is that true?

I'm just curious exactly how much you talk to your TV.

I watch it on average three times a week. I TIVO it, and am an insomniac, so I watch in very early a.m. generally.

You'll have to argue MORE to do that.

It's interesting to note that liberal-loving websites like Gawker and Wonkette also thought Olbermann was out of his league last night, with Gawker taking particular note of how Matthews was taunting him throughout the broadcast.

I meant of the possible Democratic presidential candidates.

It's not like I'm saying I'd be confident in the face of YOU being elected.

I went through all the previous posts and I'm damned surprised that no one noticed this. It was at the end of the show, when Matthews and Olbermann were standing by the students to speak with a few of them. Matthews asked a few of of the youngsters what they thought (and they weren't too bright for college students, I must say), he suddenly handed the mic to Olbermann then stepped out of the picture, and Olbermann was scared! Did anyone catch that? He said, "Wait, Chris, don't leave me, there's still a minute left." He didn't say 'don't leave yet' or 'don't leave', he said "Don't leave ME!" He did not want to talk to any of those students. He has said that he dislikes man-on-the-street interviews, but do you think that's the only reason he became frightened of being left alone there with them?

Yeah, except we're both married, and she thinks I'm a woman. Talk about long odds!

Posted by: LMAO at April 27, 2007 7:51 PM
What happened to your "wife of ten yrs" you've mentioned?

And....Olbermann just got his "revenge" by having a short segment on Countdown making fun of Matthews' "HA". Matthews sounded like a braying donkey with that playing over and over. I think Keith may have meant him to sound that way.

Trouble in MSNBC paradise between Matthews and Olbermann? yes, I belive the primary season just heated up as these two outsized egos continue to collide into one another.

    US officer condemns Iraq strategy
A senior serving US army officer has launched a scathing attack on the US military leadership in Iraq.

Lieutenant Colonel Paul Yingling said US generals had failed to prepare their troops properly and had misled Congress about the resources needed for the war.

Writing in the Armed Forces Journal, he said the US had repeated the mistakes of Vietnam and so faced defeat in Iraq.

Such criticism from a serving officer is rare, analysts say, although several retired generals have spoken out.

Lt Col Yingling's remarks come a day after the top US commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, described the situation in Iraq as "exceedingly complex and very tough".

Acknowledging that the US effort "clearly is going to require an enormous commitment over time", he asked Congress to give the new "surge" strategy, of pouring more troops into Baghdad, time to take effect.

insanity is doing the same thing over and over again...and expecting the same results !

    "Surge" anyone ?

insanity is doing the same thing over and over again...and expecting DIFFERENT results !

    "Surge" anyone ?

No, insanity is the Olbyloons coming to a site devoted to Keith Olbermann and spewing their anti-Bush, anti-Republican, anti-war sentiments over and over again and then getting downright surly when someone dares discuss Keith Olbermann on a board named Olbermannwatch. But what else could I expect from the brian damaged?

News Flash !: This is a public board where anyone can write anything they want.

Just b/c your priorities are all screwed up and would rather see people posting about the size of KO's butt or his haircut, we're all not as superficial as you.

We really care about our country...as opposed to you..who keeps making excuses for all the failures of your party and president.

So tell me, do you go to automotive or sports websites and post "anything you want" there? And if it's true that at public boards people can write anything they want why is it that the Olbermann fan boards, and Olbermann's own website are so strictly controlled? I guess you Olbyloons really don't embrace reality as much as you claim to. Hell, I know it to be true. And you're so scared sh-tless that someone will expose the TRUTH about how lame and biased Olbermann is, you'd say or do anything to take the heat off of him, including posting your childish nonsense from skewered news sources.

Brandon sez: "And you're so scared sh-tless that someone will expose the TRUTH about how lame and biased is"

I know I'm shaking in my boots...er, shoes!

could keith ever be embarrassed by having such an unfair and unbalanced program? hard to believe. but being around all these important newspeople and doing spots on nightly news might put pressure on him; rather he might put pressure on himself to actually appear "fair." hmmm, that can't happen..... imigine the pressure keith might put himself under. the peer pressure of all these important media types and all that... vs his inherent unfairness. the internal stress might make him do something kooky again like hide in the tub.

funny how he totally tried to keep moving along after he got zinged.

I know I'm shaking in my boots...er, shoes!

Posted by: Mike at April 28, 2007 7:21 PM
Only real men and real women wear boots. You wear sandals, I'm sure.

The good news is that it won't be long before Olby has another meltdown. A radio show, a "News" show and now Sunday football? Burning the candle in three directions will cause to flame out fast. It was so very clear Thursday night that he didn't have a clue, and had to be constantly corrected by others who began to openly take slams at him during the broadcast. He doesn't have the skills to do live interviews or have the first idea how to handle an opinion contrary to his own.

And you're so scared sh-tless that someone will expose the TRUTH about how lame and biased Olbermann is, you'd say or do anything to take the heat off of him, including posting your childish nonsense from skewered news sources.
Posted by: Brandon at April 28, 2007 3:18 PM

The truth is....that Olby broadcasts news items from reliable sources. Most of what he broadcasts comes from the AP and can be corroborated.

Almost everything he reports on Countdown I read other places also...so he's extremely accurate which is the reason it pisses you off so much.
If I was a Bush backer and a republican, I wouldn't want the truth revealed either on an 8:00PM prime time show on a large news network like MSNBC .

Yes, you read them on "other places" like Kos, Huffington, and of course, that bastion of all liberal wisdom (not)--Democratic Underground.

Admit it: Olbermann sucked on that debate THursday night. You've all danced around the subject by trying repeatedly to CHANGE the subject because you know he blew chunks too.

Why do you think that is exactly? Gee, did the all-knowing, all-seeing Keith "Edward R Murrow" Olbermann not study beforehand? He was getting bitch-slapped left and right by his own colleagues. That's what happens when you get all of your news from a single source, and let me tell you, Kos, Huffington and DU ain't reliable sources. Neither is Countdown, but that most of us realized a long time ago.

Brandon BU$HWIPE came out as paranoid, again:

    >Yes, you read them on "other places" like Kos,
    > Huffington, and of course, that bastion of all
    >liberal wisdom (not)--Democratic Underground.

    Brandon, you forgot Al-Jazeera.

Maybe you can make up a graph showing how the "blue blogs" receive money from Al-Jazeera?

"I really think....this terrific country will survive a Democratic President in office....

Posted by: Cecelia at April 17, 2007 8:57 PM "

    ROFLMAO!

Brandon pontificates again: "Thats what happens when you get all your news from a single source,"

I've never met a soul who claims to get all their news from Countdown, but I've met quite a few who say they only watch Fox 'News'.

The 'ugly' truth Brandon refuses to accept is that most Countdown watchers are far more well rounded and well versed that he will ever give them credit for, and very few if any, get 'ALL' their news from this show, or similarly biased sources.

While Brandon continues to obsess about Keith Olbermann's 'poor' debate performance, the rest of us will continue to sit back and laugh at this wizard's continuing personal obsession with a News commentator.

Brandon, did it ever occur to you that:

    1) - We KNOW Olbermann's forte is not debate?

    2) - MSNBC also knows Olbermann's forte is not debate?

    3) - But Olbermann IS a very good orator...one of the best.

    4) - Olbermann does speak truth to power, even though that particular truth is not what you Olby haters want to hear....thereby lies the REAL problem you people have with him.

Yes, Brandon, we are well aware that we could be watching O'Reilly talk over another dissenting 'guest' about the dangers of the dreaded San Francisco liberal community's latest diabolical "hate America" agenda, while ignoring the real political stories that are happening evey day....but that gets so damned boring.

We could also be watching Paula Zahn obsess about something like the dangers of mononucleosis in our schools, and how it is spreading like wildfire.

Then there's always Nancy Grace try and convict accused criminals on the air with that nasty little snarl she's so good at making. If we're really lucky, we may see her humiliate someone so badly that they are driven to suicide before they even get their day in court.

The reality is that THOSE are the Cable TV 'news' choices that we have at 8:00 PM EST every weeknight, and Olbermann's show is the ONLY politically based show in that time slot.

    Any more questions.....Brandon?

He wouldn't speculate who in the White House stabbed him in the back. The list is rather endless.

Also of note is him commenting on HIS agent Valerie Plame saying that it was despicable that the administration revealed an undercover agent's identity.

But all you heard from the right wing web sites was that she WASN'T an undercover agent.
    Her boss says different.
    Funny. They're wrong again.

But I'M IN A DESPERATION MODE.
Typical wingnut. Honesty is never important to them.

JEFF does win the award Again for being the most disgraced poster at this site.

You did tell us to view your ridiculous web site, little Jeffrey.
Again...no integrity from the right wingers.

here's little Jeffrey's totally absurd web site that he "may or may not have told everyone" to view.

Just look at what this little worm thinks is legitimate.
    http://www.boycottliberalism.com/boycottarchive.htm

any minute Jeff's spindoctor, Cecilia, will come running to his defense with some fractured explanation for this ridiculous site.

Here's something you can't spin: how bad Olbermann was in the debate coverage Thursday night. Good God, it was like a slow-motion train wreck. I can't stand the guy and even I (almost) felt sorry watching him flounder around like a fish out of water, gasping for air. It was (almost) sad. He'll either get better fast or MSNBC will have to drastically cut back on how much air time the give him in these events. Sure he's their liberal draw but I can't believe even his most diehard of fans enjoyed his performance Thursday night, although from what I can see, they're trying to blame Chris Matthews for Olbermann's repeated f----ups. Yeah, good luck to you on that one. How's the expression go? That dog don't hunt? Yeah, well, Olby was like a dead dog on Thursday night.

Wow, there REALLY is a constantly updated website out there that tells good little right wingers what to watch, and what not to watch...it tells them who the "good guys" are, and who the "bad guys" are...what products to buy, and which ones not to buy...which moveis to go see, and which ones to boycott. In other words, leading them along like little children as they negotiate the hidden dangers of this dangerous world filled with evil liberalism.

I kept looking for evidence that this website was a joke, as any thinking person would expect such a site to be...but no, it seems completely serious to me.

This site talks just like Jeff!

See post 9:27 PM post above for webste address.

I've never heard of that website before now and I have no intention of going to see it either.

I think it was Keith who was getting led by the nose by Matthews in Thursday's night debate.

This is how I know that Olbermann was as bad as I thought he was: even the Olbyloons aren't defending him. They can't. They know he was dreadful too.

Thanks for that ap crap, I'll print it up and put in the bottom of my bird cage! Thanks Bob!

So...RK, now you're just resorting to ignoring things and treating them as false when verifiably true? I at least thought you had the decency to make up false arguments about something to justify it to yourself.
