Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    April 26, 2007
    Countdown Cancelled...

...just for tonight. Seems the Democrats are having a debate in South Carolina tonight. The good news is that Keith will be co-hosting this unscripted evening so we're sure to get lots of clips for the blooper file on top of the reliably inaccurate political "reporting" of Keith Olbermann.

Consider this an open thread. I will Tivo the whole thing but am not going to watch the whole sorry mess. If you see any particular good candidates for the Olbermann Watch You Tube channel please post a comment and note the time (Eastern Daylight Savings Time).

What? No Countdown! Cox in withdrawal, headed for rehab. There's always help at your local mental health center.

I'm sure you know the way!

    This debate is a snoozefest.

Hell, I thought the Olbyloons LIVED in the nut house.

The Countdown to bloopers begins. Blabbermouth Olby already got cut off at 7 p.m. when the debate began.

okay that 'debate' was the funniest thing i have ever seen. how can anybody take these idiots seriously? seems to me only olby, matthewz and a few nutbags from the kos will and most of those people will think kusinch was awesome.

Do Olby and Richardson go to the same rug-maker?

Don't know Cox, but from your internet picture, you should be going to the Hair Club.

This site is the lamest stupidest thing I've ever seen....get a life.

Did anyone hear Olby chortle in the background while Gravel was ranting? That's kind of what we do during your Speshul Komments, Olby.

    No, Cox, we didn't!

"this site is the lamest stupidest thing I've ever seen."

I have seen ONE thing even more stupid than this ridiculous personal smear site;..our decision to invade and occupy a country that never attacked or threatened us, for the 'lamest' of reasons.

Can't think of anything else though.

Well, Matthews just got a blooper nod for saying "stop dickin' around."

Did Chris and Olby invite only Barack Obama on their shows, or did they mention that they would extend that offer to all candidates?

This site is pathetic. Obsess much?

    Mike says:
"I have seen ONE thing even more stupid than this ridiculous personal smear site;..our decision to invade and occupy a country that never attacked or threatened us, for the 'lamest' of reasons.
Can't think of anything else though."

Putting aside Mike's brilliant grasp of foreign policy, here's something more ridiculous than anything even you loons have posted here. Here is tough guy Olbermann in the recent SI interview, talking about difficult situations he has encountered in interviewing athletes:

"I have never gotten a pie in the face or someone swearing at me. I have heard from others there have been players that have thought about it but when they see -- I am their height or bigger -- they decide maybe this confrontation is not really worth it."

Yeah, I guess Keith "Fists of Fury" Olbermann really makes the most finely conditioned athletes in the world quake in their boots when they see his rotound form approaching.

You know what's pathetic? The continued presence of posters who say things like "This site sucks", "You're obsessed", etc. Do you honestly think you're the first person to ever make a comment? Do you think that those comments have stopped this website from continuing?

lil mikey's foreign policy=cut an' run. Just to be fair, he's not alone in this field O' wise ones.

Brandon sez: "Do you think that those comments have stopped this website from continuing."

Obviously they haven't, and they won't....and we fully understand that.

Ridiculing the mission of this site is a lot like barking back at your neighbor's yappy dog. That poor dog doesn't realize that he doesn't undertand the world he sees around him....he just believes he is protecting his turf. Barking at him just makes him more convinced than ever that he actually is serving a purpose.

This site is a lot like that poor dog!

So why do we bark at the dog?....because it's fun!!!

I do wonder how KO will be able to go though the whole '08 presidential election without interviewing any of the Republican candidates after all we know he's afraid to interview anyone that disagrees with him and Rudy and McCain clearly would fit that bill..plus they'd tear him a new one in a second...so I guess we'll just get to see him fawning over Hill and Obama instead.

Meanwhile the dog's owners and your neighbors in general shake their heads and think you're putz.

Great snark moment between Matthews and Olbermann. Matthews had been chided by Dem prez candidate, the former Alaska senator, Mike Gravel, about annoiting some candidates as being more important via time allocations, and Olbermann descirbed it as a "Zell Miller moment".

Matthews replied that Zell AND Gravel would BOTH be welcomed on his show!

I suppose hosting a Dem presidential candidate debate is about as close to alternative views as Olbermann will ever get.

I only caught the last fifteen minutes of the MSNBC circus featuring Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell, Howard Fineman and Joe Scarborough. Wow! Four hardcore leftists balanced out with "Republican" Joe Scarborough. Anyway, did anyone else just see dingbat Andrea Mitchell actually agreeing with Olbermoron (nothing surprising, there) and giving Olbermoronn credit for identifying Rudy Giuliani as "outrageous" for telling the truth about the Democrats desire to surrender to the terrorists? Is Mitchell dumber than Olbermoronn?

What's confusing with this formulation is that while Olbermann suggests its demagoguery to use the threat of terrorism to make a case that your opponent would not be strong enough to protect the country, I suspect he'll have no problem with Dem candidates using it to show Republican candidates as being inept and therefore unable to protect us from terrorists....

What's more, is that what Olbermann would consider to be the best record a candidate could possess....the gold standard of records... would be for that candidate to have made this attack from the very start...from the first hint of any post 9-11 policy from the Bushies.

Well, that's fair of course.... but virtually the same appeal from Guiliani-- mistakes have been made but these guys (Dems) would do much worse because based on there views about how to end things in Iraq, they'd be too soft, etc.... BEFORE the fact of a Dem president.... is an attempt to inspire public fear and therefore defacto terrorism!

It's always interesting to watch Olbermann attempt to shut down speech. He continually tries to characterize certain arguments as not merely being...unpersuasive...or misguided.... or not supported by recent history, etc..... but being completely illegitimate, morally reprehensive, and unamerican to even utter. And, this towards one side and one side only.

Spoken by the queen of the putz's !

And if there is one thing Cecilia knows, it's being one sided !

( but it's one thing she'd never admit.)

You've only used this ingenious analogy about 10 times now, are you stumped?

Wow, something on MSDNC that will get lower ratings than Keith. I thought I would never see the day. I didn't catch the debate, who said they would raise taxes the most? Did Hillary start speaking Ebonics again? Did Obamanation tell us how private heath care is worse than terrorism? Did John "Vanity Smurf" Edwards pull out a mirror and play with his hair?

By the way Johnny $, Don't tease us with the headline. I almost called in sick to work when I first looked at it.

There he goes again..The Dumbass Factor obsessing about RATINGS.
Funny how his views on global warming are the soiled newspapers lining Aunt Tilly's bird cage.

And if there is one thing Cecilia knows, it's being one sided !

( but it's one thing she'd never admit.)

Posted by: at April 27, 2007 12:39 AM

I"ll gladly admit it. I know one-sidedness when I see it.

Since you're able and even invited to air your views here unimpeded, what I'm wondering is-- why don't you?

    Some annon-hole said:
"Hey everyone...Tom thinks we're winning the war in Iraq !
And if we leave..we're surrendering to terrorists !
Is Tom dumber than dirt ?"

No annon, I agree with you- Al Qeida in Iraq demands we leave the country. The Dems agree. BOTH the terrorists and the Democratic Party have the same goal.

Dispite your Bush Derangement Syndrome, can't you see there's a problem when one major political party sides with our enemy?

Just a thought... make sure to post back with some good names (start with NEOCON and end with HALIBURTON!)

I'm been posting my views for months, Miss Putz.

Tom rants about: "telling the truth about the democrats desire to surrender to the terrorists."

Tom, I'd suggest you go to the dictionary, and then 1) - first look up the word "surrender"....and then name one Democrat who has suggested 'surrender' by the correct definition of that term, 2) - Then look up the word 'truth' and tell us with a straight face that you are doing that yourself.

Getting out of someone else's country we had no business entering in the first place is hardly 'surrender'.

It is really strange that the very same folks who brought us the nightmarish quagmire called Iraq are also the ones still screaming the loudest that THEY are the ones best suited to 'protect' America.

It is even more amazing that there might still be a significant portion of the population willing to listen to this nonsense.

Hey moron...Al Qaeda WASN'T in Iraq until Bush invaded it.

One small point you're missing that you can't bear to print.
THE MAJORITY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT US OUT OF IRAQ...as do most Iraqis...not to mention people of conscience in YOUR party also.

    You are so yesterday !

I'm been posting my views for months, Miss Putz.

Posted by: at April 27, 2007 12:49 AM

The conflict between THAT and what Olbermann does when it comes to one-sidedness, hasn't even skimmed your grey matter, let alone reached your cortex.

Since some loon asks for my latest global warming wisdom, I will ask him for some of his wisdom. O fabled loon, if all the democrat presidential candidates take private jets to the debate, what is their carbon foot print?

Obama Rama is still using rhetoric from 2002 that is a complete joke these days.
Bush has destabilized the Middle East, lost the respect of most of the world, and gotten us into a quagmire that no one knows how to extrcate ourselves from...except just plain leaving.

But this simpleton wants more death, more failures.

NO one ASKED for your global warming wisdom? Ha !

Your views are the folly of educated people everywhere.
Have you not noticed that people in this country are starting to take ACTION on global warming?

No one takes you serious, Factor.

Getting out of someone else's country we had no business entering in the first place is hardly 'surrender'.

Posted by: Mike at April 27, 2007 12:51 AM

Saying it's not worth listening to is different than saying the argument is defacto terrorism.

Remember to use just one sheet of t.p. Factor.

I think EVEN Cecilia knows what a collossal mistake it was going into iraq...not that she'd ever have the integrity to admit it, though.

There are no mirrors in her house.

looks like lil mikey is having conversations with himself, again. A "make believe" friend.

    destabilized "Ding"
    quagmire "Ding"
    extrcate ourselves " Ding"

    Who is using rhetoric?
What buzz word book do you use?

The RWer's at this site have been wrong on global warming and the war in iraq( for starters)...not that they'd ever notice though.

The Factor is STILL in denial about the failure of his president and the Iraq War.

    So harp on "rhetoric".

    Nice.

I think EVEN Cecilia knows what a collossal mistake it was going into iraq...not that she'd ever have the integrity to admit it, though.

There are no mirrors in her house.

Still hasn't penetrating the cranium yet....

Mikey why don't you tell the guys fighting that their mission is pointless and whether or not they accomplish their mission is irrelevant. Pump them up.

they already know their mission has been fruitless.

They're not as dumb as you think.

They died for nothing. Tell that to the families.

Still trying to count those votes over in Florida. Who is in denial?

    CJ Sucking the Egg
    April 22nd, 2007 by CJ

This post is mostly contained in a comment under my "I'm a Loser" post. But, I think it needs to be brought up front for debate and public ridicule. This is in response to a comment in which the author plainly stated "the war IS lost".

Indeed several hundred Iraqis were killed last week - IN TWO ATTACKS!! The surge has reduced the number of attacks DRAMATICALLY!! Didn't you read that in all the reports about last week's bombings? Oh, that's right, the media doesn't want you to know the big picture. The big picture looks too good.

Instead, you want to focus on TWO ATTACKS. Was it heinous? Yes. Were a lot of people killed? Hell, yes. Is it acceptable? Hell, no!! But the fact that two bombs were able to kill so many people doesn't equate to a lost cause. Did you stop investing after Enron because it was such a huge loss for investors? Probably not. It was ONE HUGE incident. Did we stop electing Presidents after Nixon abused his office? No, we didn't. Did we stop electing Presidents after Clinton abused his office? No, we didn't. They were TWO INCIDENTS!!

At the battle of Gettysburg, 3,155 Union troops lost their lives on one day. Did they lose? NO! On D-day, more than 2,400 troops died at Omaha Beach. An entire companies were killed. Did they lose? NO!

CF, you're just plain wrong and refuse to accept the big picture. You're invested in our failure. In fact, there's so much you either don't know or refuse to admit that contradicts your assertion that "the war is lost." For instance, the media didn't tell you that the very week you say we lost the war an Iraqi soldier shot and killed a suicide bomber near the Nablis neighborhood, causing his vehicle-borne improvised explosive device to explode prematurely April 17. The insurgent was attempting to attack an Iraqi Army combat outpost. Iraqi soldiers responded to the scene.

They also didn't tell you about other signs that we're actually winning. Local citizens in the neighborhood of Buhriz informed Iraqi and Coalition forces of six terrorists in the area, leading to their detention. The terrorists admitted responsibility for placing and detonating improvised explosive devices and have been transferred to a detention facility.

These are just a few of the ways WE'RE WINNING THIS WAR!!

The 1:16 a.m. message was for Mikey to tell to the families.

I guess you know more than CJ, right?

Factor sez: "Still trying to count those votes in Florida. Who is in denial?"

Factor, I'm not really sure who you were responding to on this one - BUT - I'm not in denial about that at all. I'm simply grieving for my country that the Florida decision did not go the right way.

Just imagine Factor;....NO Iraq war! A country not racked by the kind of devisiveness we see every day on this very site....a government working to solve real domestic problems and issues....a world that doesn't hate us....a military that's not stretched to the breaking point....etc....etc....

That positive vision is what we lost when the Supreme Court appointed this loser!

Just ignore the soldier's perspective. There are likely blogs in the other direction but I guarantee you Mikey that CJ is not alone.

Just imagine, we would have been nuked by now, idiot!

"The 1:16 a.m. message was for Mikey to tell the families."

I certainly don't need to tell the families what they already know deep down in their hearts.

Your solution is to cause many more soldiers and their families to suffer the same grief...for the same end result?

Oh the polling is great in Iraq. Guess what percentage of votes Saddam received in his last election? 100%

Jeff again: "Just imagine, we would have been nuked by now, idiot!"

    ROFLMAO....and the laughs keep coming!

For you, Mike- yes, with Florida going the "right" way, we could return to those good ol' days under Dems when there were NO TERRORIST attacks.

    Oh, wait a minute-
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five US military personnel, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1996 al-Khobar towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 US military personnel, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1998 bombing of US embassies in Africa, which killed 257 and injured 5,000, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured three US sailors, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Maybe if Mr Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 7,000 more people would be alive today.

Oh, if ONLY the good people of Tennesee (you know, the ones who knew AlGore BEST) had simply voted for him... but, I forgot- he LOST HIS HOME STATE.

Wesley (coward) Clark is his hero, what do you expect? John Ketchup Kerry is his other hero. Any surprises about his "views?"

Like mikey would have the guts to confront a soldier? That would be the day, he would get pummeled if he ever spoke his views face to face with a soldier!

I certainly don't need to tell the families what they already know deep down in their hearts.

What did I tell ya'. He's a coward, admittedly so.

Mikey is privy to the thoughts of all grieving parents.

I few facts about the man Jeff keeps calling "coward Clark":

    1) - He was the Supreme Allied commander.

    2) - He graduated first in his class from the US Military Academy.

    3) - His awards include a silver star, 3 distinquished service matals, 4 Legion of Merit awards, 2 bronze stars, 2 purple hearts, & 2 Army Commendation Metals.

    4) - General Clark honorably served his country for well over 30 years, something you haven't done for one minute.

Now, if you want to call this man my 'hero', I assure you have no problem with that.

Keep calling this very honorable man a 'coward' Jeff. It only enhances your well deserved reputation as a total idiot that much more, and your status as a joke.

You just couldn't make this guy up if you tried.

Jeff thinks cheering while OTHER Americans get sent off to their deaths makes him 'brave'....and those who oppose this travesty 'cowards'.

    Twisted thinking at it's zenith.

Jeff thinks: I "would get pummeled if I ever spoke my views face to face with a soldier."

    Right Jeff!

    1) - My Brother was a soldier.
    2) - My dad was a career soldier as well as a veteran of three wars.
    3) - My brother in law was a soldier who served twice in Vietnam and now lies on his death bed as a direct result of exposure to agent Orange in Vietnam.
    4) - Oh yes, in case I forget to mention it...I served honorably in the Military during wartime as well.

You know Jeff, like my wife says, I really shouldn't even bother to respond to ridiculous posts, because you do a good enough job of making a fool or yourself all by your lonesome.

Besides your dad and brother, you idiot. Although, they would probably like to pummel you, too!

Oh you mean my friends? some of whom are also veterans, and most, but not all agree with me....How about the young man I personally know who just returned from Iraq himself, and also believes as I do?

Are THOSE the ones you mean Jeff?

Lets hear more about "Coward Clark" Jeff! Tell us how much more brave YOU are than he is!

    What a joke you are......LMAO!

I certainly don't need to tell the families what they already know deep down in their hearts.

Your solution is to cause many more soldiers and their families to suffer the same grief...for the same end result?

What did I tell ya'. He's a coward, admittedly so.

C'mon Jeff, tell us more about "Coward Clark".

I want to hear more about how brave YOU are....a self proclaimed pistol packin yokel who hasn't served his country a single minute but regularly calls far better men than himself traitors and cowards. Let's hear your argument about how sending more and more OTHER Americans off to THEIR deaths makes YOU not the coward you are.

The Perfumed Prince declared himself a Democrat. Many Americans may not recognize the nickname bestowed upon Wesley Clarke by British colleagues as he strutted around Serbia with his set of platinum-plated general's stars carefully repositioned each day to a freshly-starched and ironed camouflage cap, wafting a thick vapor trail of cologne. His lack of judgment demonstrated in Serbia - including an order to clear out Russian forces that British general, Sir Michael Jackson, had to ignore for fear of starting World War III - should be enough to utterly disqualify him as a candidate for President. But this is America, land of opportunity. The former general scents, through the mists of his musky cologne, an opportunity for service. Hell, we're at war, and any real general is better than a former male cheerleader from Andover who cross-dresses as a combat pilot. Dreams of being the hero on a white horse beckon. A fatal attraction in the American people to used-up generals is how the country managed to elect some of its worst presidents - Grant, Jackson, and Garfield, for example. There's much more where this came from....

Tehrean nUlbermahn has said that he reviews sites for lies about him with na lawyer.
I have pointed out his support o fthe Iranian regime.
No lawsuit, obviously I've pulled a card!

Olbermann barely participated at all. He was pretty much completely ignored by the rest of the panel from what I saw. He seemed completely out of his element. My favorite bit was when Shuster debunked something that one of the candidates said about gun control and VT. Too bad the camera wasn't on Olby since he had said the exact same lie after the shootings on his show. That's right, ass lick Shuster actually indirectly corrected Olbermann. Something that would never actually happen on Olbyworld.

Mikey never responded to CJ's post, who is a soldier.

Mike doesn't want to admit that there are thousands of people in the Armed Forces who disagree with him, Harry Reid, Wesley Clark and the rest of the "America must lose so we can gain political power" club.

General Petraeus comes to Washington to update people on the situation in Iraq and he is ignored by the very people making decisions regarding the continued funding of the program. I believe that not giving General Petreus the benefit of the doubt in regard to a surge he says is necessary and is ONLY IN ITS BEGINNING STATGES shows the superficial and cynical nature of the democrats who have a finger in the air as their leadership model.....

The "troops out by 2008" only serves one purpose......it serves the domestic political needs of a political party who puts themselves first over their own country....the need for an issue for the next presidential campaign.

    cee,

C'mon. Why believe the administration after the thousandth lie? Even you cannot be that confused. Are you still pretending that Pelosi didn't get briefed by Petraeus? You are definitely a good dog...

What you don't understand is that, whenever we leave, there will be a disaster in Iraq. The people over there have long memories. We should've kept Saddam contained. That kept Al Qaeda out and Saddam in...

    Too complicated?

Blindrat shows us all another component of leftist policy....."should'a"

The reality is, blindrat, that the Iraqi government is need of military support and General Petraeus has stated that the surge is in its early stages and needs to further develop before a accurate judgement can be made on the progress of the mission....a 30 minute telephone conversation the very day before a vote has been scheduled to impose an artificial time table that has nothing to do with what the very commander is talking about shows how cynical the democrats have become. Yesterday, I posted the ABC article link that states Madam Speaker spoke with the general via phone....BUT ONLY AFTER THE DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP WAS SHAMED INTO SCHEDULING SUCH BRIEFS BY THE REPUBLICANS!

You are a foolish leftist shill, blindrat. Using a war for political bestmanship is a sad state of affairs but your political comrades are known for it previously.....nothing changes.

I do not want people who say, "should've" as their leadership strength to have the reigns of power. A solution to stop the radical minority from winning the day in Iraq is what is needed for the reality....but you, Reid, Pelosi and the rest on the left do not want solutions....you only want issues to advance your political agenda.

    Party over country.....hurrah!

BTW, blindrat...another cynical component of this political exercise by the democrats regarding the war on terror funding is the timing to coincide with the anniversary of "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED." Remember? Well, lookie here.....the shill Olbermann even promoted this ironic timing on his blog.....

    http://thenewshole.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/04/26/169541.aspx

"On the fourth anniversary of his infamous 'Mission Accomplished' speech on board the USS Abraham Lincoln, the president will likely veto the bill that would begin to bring the troops home from that mission.

"The $124.2 billion war funding legislation, passed by the Senate today by a 51-46 margin, would require the start of troop withdrawals from Iraq by October 1.

"The Senate said the bill was on track to arrive on the president’s desk by Tuesday, four years to the day after President Bush’s announcement that major combat operations in Iraq had ended."

Yes, the very people responsible for the timing of the passing of this legislation, with the opinion of the commander of the mission so much as window dressing, make sure this gets to The President on the same day he congratulated our brave men and women that they had done a great service in removing Saddam Hussein from power....

Cynical, cynical, cynical....I can't say it enough. These are the superficial leaders your party has to offer our country....people only concerned about political message and symbols.

Well, a veto will occur, the democrats can't over-ride it and where will it leave us?....The same place we were at before..... The President of the US requesting funding for a war and the legislature has a constitutional responsibility to either provide the funds OR not......Great progress.

    cee

"I'd tell you that the Democrats are talking a good game, but they're not even doing that. Everybody in Congress has to understand something: If they continue to fund this war, it's not just the President who owns it. They own it, too." Sgt. Liam Madden

"Lefties: Leave these pathetic drowning rats alone to stew in each other's juices. Get yourselves out in the street and fight this criminal administration in ways that really mean something, and that are noted by more than a handful of keyboard heroes!" Sir Loin of Beef

"MSNBC: where we report, and you decide not to watch."

Quote from Imus producer Bernard McGuirk appearing on Hannity and Colmes.

Cee sez: "Mike doesn't want to admit that there are thousands of people in the armed forces who disagree with him,"

Cee, where exactly did you pluck that mischaracterization from? I've always said the military contains a wide divergence of opinion, just like any other microcoism of America. What I've always objected to are those, mostly on the right, who continue to throw out their ridiculous "what the troops think" argument as that were somehow monolithic.

The "Harry Reid, Wesley Clark, and the rest of the "America must lose so we can gain political power club" is as offensive and wrong as any argument currently coming from your side.

Those kind of arguments are as cynical and politically motivated as anything you claim you've seen coming from the left. It's time to stop accusing other Americans of using troop deaths and losing as political tools. I believe very few Americans are THAT cynical...or that evil.

What I DO believe is that Americans like yourself are sincere in their belief that staying in Iraq is the right thing for America to do....you are simply very WRONG on that point.

That said, for you to continue to assert that those on the left are not equally sincere in their belief as to what is best for America is offensive....and quite frankly, is a lie being put forth for political purposes.

    cee,

Who care what Olbermann said? Yesterday, your lie was that the democrats stated that they were sending the bill on the anniversary of the famous Bush lie. Anyone can say anything. Bush sr can cut short a war to make it a hundred days. Don't continue to be ignorant, girl...

The reality is that Bush destabilized Iraq and, regardless of when we leave, will be responsible for the deaths of millions. How this relates to our country, you have yet to say. You just parrot "politics over country" as if you didn't remember Gingrich shutting down the government in an attempt to embarass Clinton or Oliver North selling weapons to the Iranians...

Yes, Mike the noble makes his claim to sincerity and then next comes blindrat continuing the last 7 years mantra from the left about, "Bush lies." Well guess what Mike, those of your political persuasion continue the cynical attacks and postering over an issue that deserves a lot better from your leaders.

How could one say Bush lied when he spoke to troops regarding, "Mission Accomplished?" Also, the timing has been linked by those speaking with "democrats" to the anniversary of "Mission Accomplished." Blindrat is so blind to the silly postering of his own leaders.

The mission in Iraq relates to our country in that the government of Iraq is an ally in need of our help and it remains our duty and honor to train and advance the security forces of that government so that Al Queda and other radical elements do overhwelm them. If you want to predict that Iraq will never be able to stand on their own....fine....it is not the opinion of many in the military, including General Petraeus.

The terrorists who continue attacking civilians and our troops in Iraq are so glad you agree with them, blindrat. Continue your support of Al Queda just like the left supported the Viet Cong terrorists many years ago!

    cee,

Talk about mantras: I didn't want to attack Iraq so I am on the side of the terrorists. Richard Clarke would disagree with you, of course. He stated that Bin Laden was probably happier than anyone at Bush's invasion of Iraq. Iraq was a country without Al Qaeda. Now, they are crawling with them. Ergo, YOU support terrorists, young lady...

And, during the "Mission Accomplished" speech, Bush claimed that we were at the end of major military actions. He was wrong.

    You are wrong...

    Live with it...

lil mikey-debunked, again. Did I say I wrote that? No. Just another lie from lil prick dumbassmikey. Lets see how many today. Actually, since he was up all nite, again, posting, this lie IS from today. How many more? Many, I'm sure.

    Robert:
Olbermann was caught chewing gum(?) during the Brokaw interview before the debates started, I am not sure if it was coming back from a break or switching from the Brokaw screen to the KO & Matthews screen. Pretty funny stuff, clearly 2-3 good "chews" before he figures out he's on camera.

I did not watch too much more, Chris Matthews ran circles around the man. Olbermann is clearly challanged when not tightly scripted, you should have no trouble finding plently of stuff. Good Luck!

"Wrong" now? Not "lie?" Mmmm, there is a difference in my knowledge of the language.....

Wrong or not, the actual military action that required tanks, bombs from planes and other traditional military forces had done their job and removed Saddam Hussein from power....The terrorists using IED's and other methods to erode the will to see the war through to its logical end with a democratically elected Iraq government being secure and stable continues and requires the dedication and support of allies.....that is the side I am on.....and General Petraeus and our great troops are trying to accomplish it.

Again, blindrat returns to should'a, shouldnt'a rhetoric.....it does nothing to solve the problem at hand which is helping the Iraqis establish a lasting peace. I want the Iraqi government to be able to marginalize and defeat the terrorists in their country.....you want to abandon the Iraqis to them, blindrat....ergo you support Al Queda's goal.....along with the democrats.

    cee,

When has the United States successfully stopped the civil war of another nation?

I did not watch too much more, Chris Matthews ran circles around the man. Olbermann is clearly challanged when not tightly scripted, you should have no trouble finding plently of stuff. Good Luck!

Olbermann is going to have to get some grasp on alternative ideologies or opinions when it comes to an issue before he has any hope of offering up interesting challenges when interview or interesting angles with the panel at hand, as Matthews does.

Matthews is hands down the best and most informed television host and moderator for political events. He makes no bones that he's anti-war and that he's a classical liberal, but he likes a good discussion from all sides.

It's interesting that Dem candidates selecting MSNBC as their venue does not seem to bode that MSNBC is biased towards them to the Howie Kurtz types, as it undoubtably would mean if Repubs did that with FOX. That you have anti-Bush Olbermann and former Tip O'Neal staffer Matthews as panel moderators, seems to mean nothing as well.

I don't think it means anything either, but I do wonder "where's the outrage" from the people who specialize in this sort of finger-pointing.

Plagiarism is further defined as using posting the written word of another, failing to put that copied text in quotes, and then putting your name at the bottom.

That is precisely what you did Jeff.

Jeff lies again: "was up all night again, posting". I'll have to ask my wife about that because she distinctly recalls me going to bed prior to 3:00 AM EST (thie blog clock is one hour ahead of that), and me getting up again around 11:00 AM, which is normal for me.

Now Jeff, what YOU just did is to actually tell a lie....again!

What I posted at 2:22 AM was NOT a lie at all. Read it again...I didn't even accuse YOU of plagiarism, because all I did was post a definition. Although I admit the implication was definitely intended.

By the way, was that the best you could do to sling mud at "coward Clark"?....An honorable American patriot that you wouldn't even worthy of shining his shoes for him.

"When has the United States successfully stopped the civil war of another nation?"

Ah blindrat....your question is a wonderful one.....

    My answer....

    Never....however.....

I would like us to treat Iraq like how we have stayed loyal to the dear South Koreans.....As long as the Iraqis want us there we stay.....just like the South Koreans have needed our help in keeping the evil North in check.....for how long now, blindrat?

Unlike the South Vietnamese who we left when it got difficult, I want us to keep our honor and commitment to the Iraqis now.

So the answer to your question is easy.....we helped keep the North Koreans in check since the 1950's and the democrats seem ok with that.....Why not help the moderates in Iraq keep the radicals at bay as well......Why, blindrat?

Do you support withdrawl of American forces from the DMZ in the Korean penisulla because it is a civil war that remains since the mid-20th century?

Cee, you make an exceppent point... my apologies. Sometimes my emotions get ahead of reason. Luckily, my father taught me that a man always admits when he's wrong. I was wrong.

Also....General Petraeus disagrees with your simple conclusion that the violence in Iraq is a result of "civil war."

    From NYT....

"Others pointed to statements by Gen. David H. Petraeus, the commander in Iraq who met privately with lawmakers on Wednesday, that Al Qaeda is a primary source of violence in Iraq."

So what is it, blindrat?......Do we allow Al Queda free reign in a country that we liberated from a dictator only 4 years ago or do we help the friendly, constitutionally elected government reach a point of security and stability over the next few years?

    Is this Iraqwatch?
    I thought it was Olbermannwatch?

What I posted at 2:22 AM was NOT a lie at all. Read it again...I didn't even accuse YOU of plagiarism, because all I did was post a definition. Although I admit the implication was definitely intended.

The first part of your post is a DIRECT contradiction of your own words in ONE sentence. Real good mikey! The second part, you are grasping at VERY short straws, again. Just because I didn't use quotes doesn't mean sh-t, philby! My quote, "there is more where this came from," asswipe! This means I copied from another page, asswipe. Thirdly, no, there is much more mud on the same site, I didn't feel the need to post the whole page, asswipe. Lastly, I would not want to be in a foxhole with you, for sure! I can picture you picking up a gun and holding it like a woman that had never held a gun before.....not a pretty picture, to say the least. Hopefully, you were a damn good cook.

    cee,

Obviously, the previous post was by an imbecile...

If we have never successfully refereed a civil war, why do you think we will be successful now? The only way that I can think that we can achieve success is to be as ruthless as the enemy (whoever that is); however, there was already someone doing that and we condemned Saddam Hussein for it...

What a loser. You sepnd your life stalking Keith Olbermann?

And you say you stand up for free speech?

    Sure.

Oh they believe in THEIR right to free speech. They just don't believe that anyone who disagrees with them should be allowed to speak.

Oh, that's right, you loons don't want to or have the courage to accept responsibility for anything you say so you can't post under a name.
