Nancy Grace Responds to Keith Olbermann's Rolling Stone Attack

Nancy Grace has The News Journal">few kind words for Keith Olbermann in a recent interview with a Delaware newspaper.

One of the strongest recent attacks against Grace came in the pages of Rolling Stone magazine last month.
In it, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann referenced a 2006 New York Observer article about how some of the statements Grace made about her fiancÃ©'s killing didn't match with the facts.

In the magazine, Olbermann was quoted as saying, "Anybody who would embellish the story of their own fiancÃ©'s murder should spend that hour a day not on television but in a psychiatrist's chair. Really."

Grace said she hadn't read what he had said. And after hearing it for the first time, she declined to react as one would expect in the hyper-argumentative environment of cable news, which she is a part of.

"I did not put myself through law school and fight for all those years for crime victims to waste one minute of my time, my energy and my education in a war of words with Keith Olbermann, whom I've never met or had any disagreement with," she says flatly. "I feel we have X amount of time on Earth, and that when we give into our detractors or spend needless time on silly fights, I think that's abusing the chance we have to do something good."

Grace shows far more class in this single statement than Olbermann has ever shown towards a competitor, ever.

Funny, Miss Dis-Grace sure does beat your boy Olby in the ratings often enough. Then again, who doesn't?

While Grace at times is over the top, Olbermann could definitely take a lesson from her in this instance.

Olbermannwatch has proven on any number of occasions that Olbermann is a liar. And now, today, he's admitted he's a hypocrite. Perhaps that's why people don't watch him.

I'm a regular veiwer to your Countdown program. Your "Special Comment" on march 12th reguarding
Geraldine Ferraro's comments about Barack Obama. You said to Mrs. Clinton & I quote "You are now campaigning as if Barack Obama were the Democrat and you were the Republican." You went on for 10 minutes or so with your harsh "Special Comment"("cheap ignorant vile racism")! I,ve listened to numerous comments, right & left, but nothing to the extent of this comment. A lot of them say she (Geraldine) was right but worded her comment the wrong way. Your comment sounded more limbaughish/hambnity/owiely republican than the republican's I've heard. Your comment came after her apoligy & after Mrs Ferraro had left her campaign. OK! Now that Mr. Obama say's he doesn't agree with Rev. Wright's remarks and said he's never heard any of these visious vile remarks in his 20 plus years in the pew and now that Rev. Wright has left his campaign Surely your writing your "Special Comment" for Mr. Obama about the "awful cheap ignorant vile racisist remarks" of his pastor (I believe you said that about Mrs Ferraro)? (I bet the families of those lost in the tower's heard these remarks) I'm sure you see the 20 year judgement (remember he say's has the better judgement to make decisions) of Barack Obama needs the same scrutiny. Or have you really endorsed a can-Obama-date & think it doesn't show? Hope to hear your comment soon. Thanks!
