As this gem from the Countdown to the Debate pre-show for the GOP Debate at the Reagan Library goes to show, "Olbermann Unscripted" rarely disappoints. Watch as Keith, terrified to be in the prescence of the worst terrorists in the world (Republicans), resorts to the old "airplane propeller to the deck of cards" analogy.
Video Clip Length: 22 seconds
You know, these video clips would be great if they had some damn AUDIO.
Steve,
You might want to check your computer's speakers. There IS audio on this clip - and all clips we post. I am listening to this clip right now.
I'm sorry. I shouldn't be swearing like that. I'm just so frustrated that nearly every video clip posted on Olbermann Watch has terrible audio. I wish somebody would fix that.
"...put the airplane propeller to the deck of cards"?
Huh?
Well, at least it wasn't the "Nixonian propeller to the Orwellian deck of McCarthyite cards."
He's getting better.
I think.
Where does Olby come up with these gems?
LoL, look at Pat. You know he's thinking what an idiot Keith is.
On another note, has Buchanan ever made Olbermann's worst person in the world list? You know Keith probably loathes Buchanan and considers him a racist.
"On another note, has Buchanan ever made Olbermann's worst person in the world list? You know Keith probably loathes Buchanan and considers him a racist"
No, he's not made the list AFAIK. And he likely won't; not as long as PB works for MSNBC.
The second he leaves the network for other work (hint: Fox), I'm sure KO will, let us say, reconsider his standards.
Just as in the Imus controversy, once Buchanan leaves MSNBC, we'll hear from Keith how he loathed the man.
I can picture an airplane propeller to a deck of cards, but does this reference have some basis that I am completely unaware of?
If not, or if, what in the world did KO mean?

MSLSD paid how many millions to re-up this guy?
MSLSD should use subtitles when Keef appears on live TV. Ubermoron can barely form a coherent sentence without his teleprompter.
He had to keep looking down to read "the first two Presidential primaries....."?????
Yep, he is definitely an intellectual. He read it, Olbyloons....can't wait to see your defense.
The olbyloons will be silent on this thread.
A swing and a miss.
A wing and a miss...actually many misses.
The Republicans are in deep do do.
And I have to agree with Bill Maher, there is something very gay going on with Republicans and Ronald Reagan.
After watching that last clip......
Wuh?
WHERE is FRED THOMPSON!?!?!
you mean Gopher?
Like he has a chance in hell !

Chicken Blogger, Fred Thompson and Fred Grandy have several things in common, but they are definitely two distinct people. For everyday purposes the giveaway is they have different surnames.
I know, all Republicans named Fred look alike to you, especially when the Kos Kids keep confusing the two as they did in Love Boating Fred Thompson. Just goes to show you can't believe everything you read, especially from some sources more than other sources.

Fred Thompson was never on Love Boat.http://imdb.com/...
The guy who played "Gopher(?)" was a US representative for a term or two.

I've seen this same confusion lately on DKos -- they're two different actors. Maybe the diarist will kill this thing.

Most reputable outlets issue corrections to any errors they make. The suggestion that the "diarist will kill this thing' gave me pause. Is 'the diarist' the Kos equivalent to George Orwell's Ministry of Truth, or if you prefer Newspeak, Minitrue?

File this under the first good idea coming from a Republican in many a year :
GOP Tommy Thompson:" Iraqi people should vote whether thay want the US in their country.
If they want us to leave: We leave !
If they want us to stay: we continue !"
Olby tried his best to ad lib
But tonight he seemed not so glib.
No script for an aid
Yet he still got paid
To tell his usual fibs.
Fibs?..you mean major news stories in every newspaper in the country?
You nutcases are starting to believe your own lies !
The Olbyloons have been commenting on how much "improved" Olbermann was during the GOP debate from the Democratic Debate in South Carolina the week before. Now note that they didn't outright criticize him (because their sworn oaths to speak only good about him prevent it) the first time around but their multiple posts on how much better he was shows that even they know he sucked in the first debate. That's as about as close an admission as you're ever likely to get from the Deluded Loons that Olbermann is far less than perfect. He still sucked in this one and it's clear that without a script, and faced with those he's hostile towards, he doesn't have much to say. Can you imagine the uproar from the Olbyloons if Fox used Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity to cover a debate? Yet they see nothing whatsoever at all wrong with Olbermann covering a debate. They don't call them Olbycrites for nothing!
