"Olbermann Unscripted" provided its share of OlberBloopers, as Keith Olbermann demonstrated once again that once you take away his script he brings little to the table but is always good for a laugh - at his expense - as Gene Robinson and Chris Matthews demonstrate.
Take away the teleprompter and/or script and Toupee Boy is smooth as a road covered with nails and broken glass.
That Olby: What a dope.
And yet the MSM hail him as the next "Edward R. Murrow" and carefully avoid discussing his miserable sub-par performance in the two MSNBC debates thus far. Oh now, the media isn't biased. Just so long as you love liberal hacks.
Olbermann thinking that Rudy Giuliani's statement that "no one political party has a lock on virtue or vice" was conciliatory to the Democratic Party, on Giuliani's part, is a hilariously revealing glimpse of Keith's own political stridency.
Olbermann's a talented writer and he was very good with snarky and funny remarks doing sports replays and highlights on ESPN but this is a whole different game.
He's got to ditch the snark and cutting remarks and deal with substance (such as it on cable TV).
That's a tough task to do at any time especially for someone who has no background in that approach.
Over the top commentaries, sarcastic comments can only carry you so far.
Exxon just had another blockbuster quarter, yet prices are rising by leaps and bounds.
Now...let's remember which party they contribute huge sums to ?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !
Seriously, that's it? 3 hours of pre and post-debate coverage and this is all you've got? Sad really...
Seriously, that's it? 3 hours of pre and post-debate coverage and this is all you've got? Sad really...
I know its hard for the loons to understand market economies and futures markets. Let me brake it down for you. Demand goes up and supply stays the same. PRICES GO UP. Let us build a freakin refinery and supply would keep up with demand. Freakin ECO-NAZI's don't have a clue.
Crash head Dummy is making excuses for the oil companies obscene profits.
Ya think he has investments in oil or just another jackboot partisan republican?
What a joke !
Demand has NOT gone up and supply can be manipulated any way the oil companies want.
This empty head thinks Big Oil is legit !
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Anon. You ignorant slut. We are constantly at the same supply. Demand always goes up during the summer. Oil companies profit margins are no higher than they have ever been. The margin is exactly the same. If you want to bitch. Bitch about the weak dollar affecting real wages at home, but since you don't understand economics I suggest just keeping your head firmly planted in your arse.
BTW oil companies cannot manipulate supply. They are largely at the mercy of OPEC and Venezuela and Russia. They are already producing gasoline at 90% of full capacity. They have absolutely no incentive to increase that capacity because no one will let them build a refinery. If you want to know why your gas prices are high, look in the mirror and then smash your face in said mirror.
Oil company profits no bigger than ever?
Keep apologizing for Big Oil while they screw you in the ass.
Just how stupid are you ?
Big oil tanks up: Exxon's profit nears $10B
By Matt Krantz, USA TODAY
While drivers have been painfully paying up at the pump, oil companies have been racking up eye-popping profits.
Thursday, ExxonMobil (XOM) became the most stark example yet of how much big oil companies benefited from the huge run-up in oil prices during the third quarter even as two major hurricanes ripped through the industry's Gulf Coast infrastructure. Exxon reported:
• Net income up 75% to $9.92 billion. That is the most a U.S. company has earned from operations in a three-month period and greater than the annual gross domestic product of entire nations including Cameroon and Zimbabwe.
• Revenue up 32% to $100.7 billion. That is greater than the annual GDP of all but just 38 of the world's economies.
Exxon illustrates the energy's sector's tremendous profit amid record-high energy prices. The industry is on pace to earn $96 billion this year — more than what the USA's industrial and telecom companies will earn, combined, says Standard & Poor's based on members of the S&P 500 index. (Vote: Are oil companies' high profits justified?)
And it's not just ExxonMobil that's raking it in. Royal Dutch Shell reported net income up 68% to $9 billion Thursday. Earlier this week, BP (BP) reported a $6.5 billion third-quarter profit and ConocoPhillips (COP) a $3.8 billion profit. Today, ChevronTexaco (CVX) is expected to post 53% higher earnings of $3.9 billion, says Reuters Estimates.
The massive profit gains were widely expected giving the soaring price of oil. The price of a barrel of oil hit a record $70 during the third quarter and, even though it has backed off to $60.80 currently is still up 40% in 2005.
It's not as if the industry didn't have difficulties with the damage of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In fact, ExxonMobil said oil production fell 5% during the third quarter and natural-gas production fell 9%.
But those disruptions had little effect on the flow of oil companies' profits.
Crash Test Dummy is certainly a dummy !
If you want to know why your gas prices are high, look in the mirror and then smash your face in said mirror.

yes, I'm keeping oil prices high not Big Oil !
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
• Revenue up 32% to $100.7 billion. That is greater than the annual GDP of all but just 38 of the world's economies.
But it's environmentalists that's the problem !
Do these nutcases ever even think what they're saying !
What part of Margin do you not understand? You unbelievable moron. Let me brake it down. If I had $100 in revenue and $90 in expenses, I would have made $10 dollars and that would be a 10% margin. If in the next year I had $1000 in revenue and $900 in expenses, I would have made 10 times as much, but my margin would still be 10%.
You want to villify someone who is spending more to make more, you are a freakin socialist dumbsh-t.
YOU DON"T HAVE A CLUE.
GOOGLE PROFIT MARGIN, MORON!!!!!!!!!!
But I don't understand %. So you are just a dumb neo-con ummmmmm errrrrrr uhhhhhhhh. My basement is cold, and I want a blankey.
GOOGLE PROFIT MARGIN, MORON!!!!!!!!!!

And you get stories written by Conoco/Phillips and Exxon/Mobil, you stupid tool !
You really have been duped.
I still ask, why make excuses for Big Oil while they bugger you?
By most familiar comparisons, the $9.92 billion profit earned by Exxon Mobil Corp. in just three months is almost unimaginable. It would cover all Social Security benefit payments for three months. It would pay for an Ivy League education for about 60,000 kids. It would pay the average list price for more than 160 Boeing 737s. It would fund the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan for more than two months.
“This is the mother of all booms,” said Oppenheimer & Co. oil analyst Fadel Gheit. “They have so much profit, it’s almost an embarrassment of riches. They don’t know what to do with it.
But Crash Test Dummy says it's all good!
Let me guess, A Bush fan ?
HAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
crash, you're wasting your time with these socialist pukes. When you prove them wrong they just divert from topic. lil mikey actually thinks Ted Turner has nothing to do with CNN, this idiot you are trying to educate now is his butt buddy. Go figure, they get their news from BBC and the Comedy Channel!
I have a friend who buys yachts in CASH. Big Oil cash. He works for an oil company.
They actually pay many of their employees in suitcases of cash. So this profit margin is a LOT BIGGER than they even report !
This Crash is either naive or a huge a--hole !
NO actually Crash is just spouting the right wing talking points.
I'll say it again. The oil companies in the last 35 years have never ever never ever never ever made over 10% in profits. They spend more to make mare. So what the hell is the problem? Should we stop their incessent spending? Should we force them to make other types of fuels, even though it is not profitable? Grow up kid. You have no clue. The only way things will change is if there is money in it. 10% margin is NOT good. That is why there are only like four major oil companies when there used to be 20. There is no incentive to start a new one. There is no money in it. Just ask the airlines how regulation is going for them and then ask your congressman why we keep bailing them out with our tax dollars.
More regulation bad. Free markets good. Innovation is good. Profits are a good thing. Punishing people for making money is UN-AMERICAN and illogical.
Guess who is trying to stifle reports and research on alternative fuels and global warming ?
Guess why ?
Idiot !
I'm a big fan of Big Oil . I bend over each time I pay $3-$4 a gallon.
Cleaner energy is bad because...not sure.
-Crash
The people lying about profits were all taken care of by the BUSH department of Justice. It was Bubba's DOJ that allowed Enron, Tyco, Worldcom, etc...
I realize that you loons understand enough to know that you are either a) too stupid or b) too unmotivated to actually make any real money or make a difference. So what do you do? You hate. You especially hate on anyone successful. They just had to lie or cheat or steal. They couldn't have possibly worked hard. That is inconceivable. It much more conducive for your ego to believe the worst in people. All because of your shortcommings and inadequacies.
Welcome to the new America and the self loathing liberal, where everything is bad and anything that is good is a fraud.
The Oil Companies obscene profits are good
- Crash
You have oil stocks , Crash Dummy ?
Big Oil is the root of many problems we have in thi s country....but as PROBABLY a global warming denier, and BUsh supporter you continue to take the wrong side of every issue.
I understand. Go down with the ship.
I won't be throwing you a life preserver.
Every time I am proven wrong, I change the subject. Now its global warming and crash must hate clean air. Damn his logic and clear thinking abilities. I bet he doesn't believe in evolution.
Like Big Oil has nothing to do with global warming, climate change and solutions to these things.
Go watch AMerican Idol. That's something your little brain can handle.
Olbermann and Paul Krugman, economist, became enemies of the Bush Administration because they told the TRUTH.
Why don't you publish a LIST of Keith's "lies", so that we can see FOR OURSELVES whether they ARE lies??
So far, I have seen NONE by Olbermann.
But it is a DAILY occurrence with the Bush Administration.
So, let's see the LIST, and we can debate THAT.
See YOU in hell BUSHLIARS (cause I'LL be THERE),

I worked for Shell Oil Co (Offshore Production Dept) for many years. Which one of you pukes stole all my briefcases of cash!
Grammie
I love the "in these first two Presidential primaries, tonight and last week....." line. Especially in light of the video which shows him repeatedly looking down, presumably at his "notes" while asking the question.
It seems KO gets easily twisted in live situations like this. He has apparently muscled his way into a prominent role on MSNBC's election coverage, but he really is ill-suited for this role, while Chris Matthews shows a much better grasp of the intricacies of politics and interviewing.
Surely there is someone MSNBC/ NBC News could use (Tim Russert?) who is more experienced dealing directly with politicians, and could more ably anchor situations like this, without tripping over their own tongue during interviews.
These initial debates are the beginning of an election cycle that will detirmine the future of both our country and Iraq, and deserve to be treated with the gravity that entails.
Scott, what's comical is the olbyloons have been dead silent on this issue here. Even the ones that claim they "don't defend" Ulbermahn are silent. I did, however, see some strong criticizing of Krazy Keith on another left wing blog.
Four million they paid for this stiff?
Keef takes a swing and a whiff
The cringe factor's high
When that Chris Matthews guy
And Keef broadcast their little tiff
royalking,
How 'bout, we don't really care what you girls thought of Olbermann's performance at the Republican debates. A bunch of yahoos pretending that Reagan was a halfway decent president could've been moderated by frozen poultry, son...
And, Tim Russert?!? How could he fellate all the Republicans at the debate without causing some hard feelings amongst those who were "second"...?
So, WHERE are the "LIES" that Olbermann tells?
STILL no response???
Unlike Fox "news", Olbermann presents information with FACTS to back up what he says..
Again, Olbermannn WAS (and IS) a sportscaster.
Who, by TELLING THE TRUTH, became an enemy of the Bush WAR CRIMINALS.
WHINING about the FACTS that Olbermann presents is TOUGH TOENAILS, BushLickers...
Just like Harry Truman, Olbermann tells the TRUTH, and YOU think it's HELL.
So, let's see the LIST of Olbermann's "LIES"...
BRING IT ON!!!!
Otherwise, see YOU in hell (cause I'LL be THERE),

assrat-an olbermann apologist.
Oh, and by the way, there are HUNDREDS of DOCUMENTED lies by George W. Bush, the "commander guy/decider"
Two sites just for a start:
http://www.bushlies.com
http://www.bushwatch.com
All the LIES of Bush are DOCUMENTED, and you can TRY to refute them if you choose.
But, WHERE are Olbermann's LIES? Got a LIST? NONE of your threads document ANY.
So far, just WHIIINING by babies PO'd that Olbermann tells the TRUTH about BushCrime.
So, BRING IT ON!!
See YOU in hell (cause I'LL be THERE),

Wow, royalking! You didn't use "assrat" when you were sucking Cox, son. Best behavior, eh child?
As usual, you provide nothing more than the usual nothing, son...
assrat, throw out some of your left wing propoganda so I can debunk it, again! Or, are you too busy praying to allah?
Golly son, I already stated that Reagan was not a halfway decent president, did you wet yourself in fear at that one?
And I, along with many others on this board, wonder if you know what the word "debunk" means, child. Certainly, you provide nothing in the way of proof. Could it be that you are simply poorly educated or just stupid?
That's what I thought, you got nothing, as usual, grasshopper.
rk,
How 'bout this, son (since you cannot defend Reagan, apparently): The Republicans are the most corrupt U.S. party in recent memory...
I'll even let you define what "corrupt" is, son...
http://emporium.turnpike.net/P/ProRev/wwstats.htm
here you go rat.
rk,
Very ambiguous site. It doesn't even state that Clinton had ONE cabinet member convicted of a crime. Less than the Bushes and Reagan, son...
Now, as for the "refusal to testify" we need look no further than Susan McDougal. You should read her book, son: "The Woman Who Wouldn't Talk: Why I Refused to Testify Against the Clintons & What I Learned in Jail."
rk,
Clinton was not the first president accused of rape, son:
Kitty Kelley, in her 1991 book Nancy Reagan: The Unauthorized Biography, states that Reagan raped a young actress named Selene Walters...
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
Found innocent of wrong-doing...
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
First non-millionaire president in many years. Needed defense fund for baseless charges and endless (fruitless) investigations...
Gee...
NO ONE has come up with a list of Olbermann's "LIES"...
OK, since we are talking about "refusing to testify":
WHY did Bush and Cheney REFUSE TO TESTIFY UNDER OATH to the 9/11/ Commission?
i.e., refuse to SWEAR TO GOD TO TELL THE TRUTH TO THE people of the UNITED STATES
about their involvement with 9/11, the Bin Ladens, and the Saudi TERRORIST FINANCIERS, who TO THIS DAY are financing the Sunnis and Al Queda.
And forget "executive privilege" BS...
MORON and TRAITOR Reagan testified (Irna/Contra) and Clinton also (Lewinsky),
so precedent is set.
BRING IT ON!!!
See YOU in hell (cause I'LL be THERE),
Mr. Bush
MURDEROUS WAR CRIMINAL
COWARDLY TRAITOR TO THE USA (TM--BushCrimeCo, Inc.)
Number of individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine who have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes: 47
- Number of these convictions during Clinton's presidency: 33
- Number of indictments/misdemeanor charges: 61
- Number of imprisonments: 14
- Number of congressional witnesses who have pled the 5th Amendment, fled the country to avoid testifying, or (in the case of foreign witnesses) refused to be interviewed: 124
You forgot to read this part, grasshopper.
rk,
Well, you accepted my refutations of the other remarks. Let's see if I can teach you something else, son...
Your points are useless, child, unless you can compare them. I suppose that is why they are posted that we, eh?
Perhaps you know the definition of "associated with"...
Nice try, but you haven't given me proof of anything, except your ability to cut and paste without reading carefully, son...
225 different people in the Ronald Reagan administration have either quit, been fired, been arrested, indicted, or convicted of either breaking the law or violating the Ethics Code...
By Bill Miller
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, September 8, 1999; Page A1
Former housing secretary Henry G. Cisneros pleaded guilty yesterday to a single misdemeanor charge of lying to the FBI about money he paid to a former mistress, ending a wide-ranging independent counsel investigation that lasted more than four years and cost more than $9 million.
Cisneros, 52, is the first Cabinet member of the Clinton administration to plead guilty in a case brought by an independent counsel, though the consequences of the plea proved relatively mild: Cisneros agreed to a $10,000 fine and a $25 court assessment, but he will serve no time either in prison or on probation and he will be free to seek elected office.
asrat, there is 279 on my list above at 3:06. That is just a drop in the bucket, grasshopper. Here's your cabinet member. I'm sure will just "dismiss" this one, too, as a "pointless cut and paste." There were 4 or 5 others that were convicted, as well, grasshopper. I have to chuckle when you refer to proof as "ambiguous," that's a big word for an olbyloon, grasshopper.
rk,
They must have deleted all 279 people that you posted, son. Maybe you should post them again...
The ambiguity is the statement that extends to people "associated with" Clinton. The list can be pretty tenuous; that is why folks like you don't include details...
I know that Cisneros was found guilty, son. That anecdote proves nothing still.
Show me the 279, son!
rk,
You IDIOT!
You added lists up that weren't mutually exclusive. Jesus, you are stupid, child!
I'm hitting the bus, now. Enjoy your humiliation, boy...
assrat, you are in serious denial, have fun on the bus!
Very ambiguous site. It doesn't even state that Clinton had ONE cabinet member convicted of a crime. Less than the Bushes and Reagan, son...

"I know that Cisneros was found guilty, son. That anecdote proves nothing still." assrat
??? "anecdote?"
1. Then assrat spews this:
225 different people in the Ronald Reagan administration have either quit, been fired, been arrested, indicted, or convicted of either breaking the law or violating the Ethics Code...
Posted by: blindrat at May 8, 2007 3:20 PM
2. Then he spews this! Where's his list of 225 people? Huh? Spin, spin, deny, deny.
"Show me the 279, son!"

I invite anyone to look at royalking's 3:06 post where he adds and readds the people in overlapping categories...
Hopefully, someone will be able to get through to him what an imbecile he is...
"Hopefully, someone will be able to get through to him what an imbecile he is..."
LOL...you mean't 'IMBOCILE', didn't you?
Blindrat, have you ever met an imbecile who actually knows that they are an imbecile?
I invite anyone to look at royalking's 3:06 post where he adds and readds the people in overlapping categories...

assrat, I guess the schools were sadly lacking where you went, if you went.
