The two FBI types breaking bread with the enemy in the photo above at "Islamberg" look right at home to Canada Free Press (CFP). Notice the weapons these dudes are wearing at the dinner table?
Islamberg is just one of what is thought to be a half dozen radical Muslim paramilitary compounds flourishing across the United States, this one nestled in dense forest at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains on the outskirts of Hancock, New York.
Canada, home to at least one such compound, is no safe ground.
Now that the photos of the two unidentified FBI types have been published, we will undoubtedly hear that they were merely working undercover. But some sticklers would consider saying cheese from the dinner table of the enemy is over the top.
Hundreds of letters have deluged (CFP) since it published a story with pictures of Springtime in Islamberg, written by The Day of Islam author Dr. Paul Williams with the able assistance of Doug Hagmann, Bill Krayer and Michael Travis.
Many letter writers complain that local authorities are telling them they have never heard of the compound.
Islamberg is an al Fuqra house. "Fuqra has had a disturbing U.S. presence for more than 20 years." (The weekly Standard, March 18, 2002). "Today, half a dozen Fuqra residential compounds in rural hamlets across the country shelter hundreds of members, some of whom, according to intelligence sources, have been trained in the use of weapons and explosives in Pakistan."
In a world where authorities make like terrorism doesn't exist, Fuqra's founder and bossman, Sheikh Mubarik Ali Hasmi Shah Gilani, is not only alive and wellÑhe has a road "Sheikh Gilani Lane" named after him. This road is not in faraway Pakistan, but right in Charlotte County, Virginia.
Charlotte County is a rural farming community in Central Virginia near the North Carolina border.
Like its counterpart in Hancock, New York, it is inhabited by proud Americans many whose sons and daughters are fighting for our freedom in Iraq.
"This is not only an embarrassment to the citizens of Charlotte County it is a disgrace to the entire country and an insult to the victims of 9/11 and those fighting overseas in the war against terrorism," wrote Martin Mawyer, president of the Christian Action Network.
"Sheikh Gilani has rubbed shoulders at international terrorist confabs with gunslingers from Hamas and Hezbollah, their mullah backers, and Osama bin Laden. And he has trained fighters for the battlefields of Kashmir, Chechnya and Bosnia." (the weekly Standard).
Dropping in on radical Muslim paramilitary compounds isn't good for your health. Two bloggers who posted the plucky Williams' Islamberg story had their lives threatened.
Most infidels, including even the local undertaker, are denied access to compounds such as Islamberg.
Indeed, the very undertaker denied access wrote a letter telling the author/journalist he was surprised he made it off the compound with his life intact.
The undertaker says he has delivered bodies to the complex but has yet to be granted entrance. "They come and take the bodies from my hearse," he told Williams. "They won't allow me to get past the sentry post. They say that they want to prepare the bodies for burial. But I never get the bodies back. I don't know what's going on there but I don't think it's legal."
As far as is known, Gilani launched his first U.S. operation without interference from any authority back in 1980.
By the 1990s, Fuqra's communes were being touted as havens where Muslim convertsÑmany of them inner-city blacks, sometimes recruited in prisonÑcould find new direction for their lives.
Why aren't people reading about these flourishing compounds in their hometown newspapers?
Does it require too much work for the mainstream media, or do politically correct times keep the topic taboo?
You'd think that these compounds would be a priority for Homeland Security, but they aren't.
One of the letters to Williams via CFP was from a member of Homeland Security asking for more information!
It seems to be politically incorrect to write about radical Muslim paramilitary compounds flourishing on American soil and politically incorrect to talk about terrorism.
For some American and Canadian citizens, it's welcome to life with a deadly enemy living right next door.
Ha, ha. I get the pun but Keith does have someone to hold him and tell him that's it's all going to be alright -- a gold digging unemployed girlfriend and his momma.
Why is Kathy employed? No? By definition that's unemployed. His momma? Is she alive? Then yeah I say it's a definite she'll love on him. The dog? I dunno. The statement was meant as a tongue in check smack back to both "sides" on issue. It was funny -- yes and no --. Keith is loved -- yes and no. But in the end who cares?
P.S. My middle name is Cecilia. :)
Still don't know if I like or dislike Keith. I like to think he's an OK guy but I personally feel he's a bit of an ass with a self-inflated ego. How do I know this? I don't but was everyone around Keith wrong at ESPN? Maybe I have a bit of an ego as well. It was wrong of me. I'm sorry.
Of course Katy isn't employed. Of course she lives off of Olbermann. But Cecelia never lets facts get in the way of her crusade to better the image of gold-diggers everywhere.

Fact: Keith's pushing 50.
Fact: Kathy is in her mid 20s. (Like Stan Smith in American Dad I call Kathy ThunderCat)
Fact: According to this website ThunderCat is unemployed. According to Olbermann ThunderCat is a "freelance" producer. I laugh at the word. No real producer EVER labels themselves "freelance." Trust me honey I've worked media outlets for over a decade now.
Fact: Kathy's website not only has a naked woman (OMG! Yuck!) but Keith and Kathy both invited comments on same said site. I personally appreciate the effort Kathy has put forth. She's trying now Brandon. Give her that.
But Cecelia you have to admit ThunderCat and Olbermann have made their relationship public. They can be "attacked" just like any other public figure. Paparazzi can hound them down the street. So allow only warranted comments on Kathy & Keith.
I'm guessing RK is 15. My hope is that his personality rounds out a bit in the next few years and that he will even begin to think about issues in a more nuanced and multifaceted way. Hopefully this happens soon, before he is completely developed. It is, still possible that RK will get the education he so desperately needs and I urge others to not rush to judgment about him until this has had a chance to happen.
However, I must admit, the possibility also exist that RK is an actual adult living without a caretaker to help with his mental deficiency. As scary as this is to contemplate it is a real possibility that somewhere along the line the system failed Rk to this extent. That somewhere along the line, one so incapable of expressing or understanding his own or others arguments, does exist; and got through the education system and after without a diagnosis for his mental retardation.
One would hope this stunning indictment of our educational system is untrue and that RK is merely a child, but you never know.

Despreation over what? I'm new to this site and admit I have a love/hate relationship with Countdown, which I've likened to a poor man's version of Colbert Report. Colbert, an actor, at least shows up to work unlike Keith -- which I'm still pissed about.
I'm just trying to understand Keith a little better and everyone goes crazy. I'm tired. Nighty night ThunderCat fans. See you tomorrow!
Cecelia, I know that you think that your constant insults of me will drive me away from this site. It won't so they are pretty much a wasted effort on your part. The genesis of this is that you are pissed that I wrote something about Katy Tur that you took way too personally. Bob Cox ruled on this, and thought it was within bounds but you refused to accept his opinion gracefully. Instead you have reverted to extremely childlike and childish behavior and if you think for one single second that it will stop me from blogging on this site, that it will stop me from leaving comments, then you are more wrong about that than you are the Katy Tur thing. It's obvious that you are on the losing side of that little argument and the ship sailed a long time ago on that topic of discussion. You are certainly entitled to your opinion but the way that you have conducted yourself over this entire matter tells me eveyrthing I need to know about what kind of person you really are. I'm sure however that you'll persist in your little digs at me and that's fine, I'm a man, I can take it. I just wish you would act more as an adult but since that is not in the cards where you're concerned apparently, then I'll live with it. But just so you know, you're only making yourself look bad here, not me. But if you insist, be my guest.
Judy, here's a little insight to Cecelia...from her past comments:
(Cecelia defends Ms. Tur's use of a "man with nude woman" icon in her video job search):
My father was an attorney and part-time professional photographer. Among his portfolio were nude pictures. His books and magazines on photography included some too. If you happen to go to a museum...
(Cecelia responds about Keith & Katy's huge age difference, and how Katy may have a "leg up" in her search for a job in TV news without having a journalism degree):
Let me clue you into something, although we aren't living in the Trump Tower, to say the least.... I fell in love with my husband partly for the same reasons, and I have admired his zeal and god given abilities more every year of our marriage. Gold-digger that I am, I even took advantage of them by letting him support me through my last year and a half of college. I've exploited him even more by largely living off his income, even though I could support myself and were I start start a business, I wouldn't fail to exploit every connection he has... I even think his love handles are cute...
I think you can see why certain issues are more "touchy" than others...especially when they are similar to one's own....but THIS actually sums it up better:
GOP patriots: Concerned with Olby's girlfriend and who's posting under what name! Posted by: at May 13, 2007 8:29 PM
Yes a GOP patriot like Cecelia is very "concenced" with morality here at OW, goodness, where else would she go? Daily Kos, Huffington Post? The Newshole? naah, she would really stand out as the "clueless and self-important putz" she is.
His remedial math teacher.
His english teacher.
His history teacher (seriously that dude makes no sense).
His Biology teacher (huh?)
His chemistry teacher
His Social Studies Teacher
And of course craigs whose always pullin' out that logic and shit.

More examples of "sterling" logic here...
Chicken blogger thinks a picture of with nudity on Tur's website is just ickypoo and whorish BUT that = *I'm the prude concerned about "morality".
Chicken blogger wants to assume the very worst of someone he/she has never met, simply because they don't like Keith Olbermann or May-December relationships, or don't like Olbermann having a girlfriend... However, I don't assume the worst about this woman though I don't like Olbermann either = *I'm the one revealing personal bias...
Chicken blogger assumes there's something inherently mercenary and selfish that couples, married or otherwise, are generally giving and benefit from what's best in each other, physically, emotionally, materially, etc., I think that's perfectly natura = *I'm some sort of operator who doesn't understand giving relationships....
With logic like this, it's certainly evident that Chicken blogger DOES belong at Huffington Post, Daily Kos, and The Newshole... :D

Brandon,
Anyone who reads you stuff doubts your intelligence, now they can doubt your sanity along with it...
I have no intention of trying to "run you off" from this site, and it's rather amazing that you consider that I'd believe that I could.
I don't agree with Bob Cox about the Tur thing, and I don't have to agree with everything he says. He doesn't require that. Let me point out that though that he did not make personal slams against her, as you have done.
Yes, Bran, I do plan to remind you of your hypocrisy when I see it, especially when you start on the Olbermann as mysognist stuff, because you have indeed shown yourself to be a hypocrite.
I plan to point out your shallowness and your poor reasoning abilities, when I see them too. I certanly don't need your permission to do that..
Of course you can certainly try to refute that and come back at me, since I post here too, so I don't know why you're going into paranoid mode now.
Finally, let me point out that I had not addressed anything to you or replied to direct comments to me from others about Tur, in a day or so when you hollered out to Judy about me., so spare me the Brandon as persecuted scenario ... I'm only responding to what YOU started, sweetheart...
Cecilia was oh so concerned about when KO would hold the Democrats accountable.
He certainly did tonite. Not only with his own comments but the guests he had on mirroring his displeasure for the caving of the Democrats to Bush.
I'm go a step further. It was spineless and rather startling that they agreed to legislation to pay for the Iraq war without a troop withdrawal timeline.
Pragmatically, the votes were simply not there to override the veto.
The democrats planned to renew their fight with Bush this summer, but it's certainly not good enough for me.
BTW,Republicans agreed to concessions, as well, in terms of billions of dollars in domestic spending that Democrats wrung from them and the administration. Republican leaders had hoped to persuade the White House to make a tougher stand against the Democratic demands, but they also caved.
The bill would also include the first increase in the federal minimum wage in more than a decade. There were also modest tax breaks, mainly aimed at helping businesses that hire low-skilled or handicapped workers.
Speaking of spineless....
That would be every single republican at this site who would gleefully jump on the democrats for this bill but never speak the truth about the Iraq War or their president.
Not one of them would ever discuss the conditions that Paul Rieckoff spoke of tonight. He is more of an expert on the iraq war than anyone at this site or any talking head or journalist we listen to on a daily basis.
Paul is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Executive Director and Founder of IAVA (Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America), the country's first and largest Iraq Veterans group.
He spoke of the tremendous hardships Bush's surge is having on the military. When soldiers are ready to end their tours, Bush pulls the carpet from them like Lucy pulling up the football for C. Brown, and extends their tours. This is decimating morale and stretching our military to the breaking point.
Divorces are skyrocketing among our military families and suicides are occuring when they come home with their inability to cope with their memories of combat. They are not getting the psychological help from the military or from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
BTW, the Bush administration also plans to cut funding for veterans’ health care two years from now... even as badly wounded troops returning from Iraq could overwhelm the system. Even though the cost of providing medical care to veterans has been growing rapidly.. by more than 10 percent in many years... White House budget documents assume consecutive cutbacks in 2009 and 2010 and a freeze thereafter.
Back to Rieckoff...he also noted it doesn't matter how many brigades Bush sends to Iraq, b/c a military solution is not going to solve the Iraqi problem w/o diplomacy and other countries involved with the process.
Rieckoff has said that Bush could send 3 times the amount of troops he's sending now, and it wouldn't make a bit of difference.
So who are you going to believe ? The jingoistic OLBYhaters at this site, especially Cee, or an expert like Paul Rieckoff, someone who knows what he's talking about and has walked the walk !
What you have... are the Republicans without the sense or honesty to speak the truth on what is happening in Iraq and you have the Democrats, to this point, handcuffed with the lack of votes to hold madman Bush's feet to the fire.
This quagmire in Iraq just got even more depressing( if that is possible) with no chance of sustainable success and no end in sight.
When Olbermann begins wailing away on the Democrats on a nightly basis as often as he does the Republicans, then I'll believe he's a fair and unbiased journalist. Not until. One night of mild remarks against the Dems don't cut it, particularly when the liberal blogs are all turning on the Dems, he's just preaching to the choir. . . . . . . again.
So tell me, if the war is unwinnable then why do the Dems now think that timetables to withdraw should be eliminated? YOU don't have an answer for that one do you. Hmmm. I seem to remember them running on a campaign of ending the war in Iraq. When is that going to start?
And by the way, I have two family members in Iraq so don't think for a minute "Pinhead" that I don't want this war over and them home.
And by the way, I have two family members in Iraq so don't think for a minute "Pinhead" that I don't want this war over and them home.

But you STILL don't have the balls to criticize Bush's failed policies.
Brandon, why do people like you & Cee keep asking us why the 'Dems' don't seem to have the guts to do what you don't want them to do anyway? It sounds more like taunting than anything else.
Do you think people like me are happy about it? The Democrats are nothing but the lesser of two evils...good only by contrast.
You still think they are "good" Mike? How many of their campaign promises have they bailed on now? I've lost count.
And oh anonymous one, I have criticized the war here on this board, on many occasions. I never wanted us to enter this war to begin with. i was against it then and I'm against it now. I want it to end ASAP but while we're there, we need to support our troops. Withdrawing funding from them wasn't the way to do that, despite whatever liberal fantasy world you're living in.

So you agree with Keith Olbermann on many issues.
Which is why you always criticize him.
Clear as mud !
I don't agree with Keith Olbermann on a single issue. You see, I have a problem with alleged journalists who don't bother to report from the field, who never leave the studio. I have an even bigger problem with "journalists" who only interview echo chambers who will parrot their opinions, and that's another thing--I don't want opinions, I want facts. I don't watch Fox for that reason and it's why I can't stand Olbermann, so see, it's you whose little pathetic arguments are "clear as mud".
Well now Brandon....if you think our commander in chief would actually leave the troops deployed in harms way without funding, then he really is as evil as many people say he is.
I poersonally don't believe he would do that....therefore cutting the funding IS the only way to end the madness in the face of the presidents obstinance.
They are there Mike. You can't cut off funds for them and leave them stranded there. As a former military man, as you claim, you should know better. Your argument has a few logic points missing.
Olbermann is a hack and you know it but because he presents lies and biases just the way you want them, disguised as news, you have no problem with him. At least Fox has the decency to present their opinion shows as such, which is more than Olbermann and MSNBC will do. THAT's my issue with Olbermann, as you well know as you've been here just as long as I have and have read my comments on both the war and Olbermann on many occasions.
So tell me Mike, when is your party drafting those impeachment papers they promised on Bush?
When are they going to end war funding and set timetables for withdrawal?
My mistake. You could DRAFT impeachment papers, but if it has no chance to succeed, why waste the time?
Funny how Obama, Brandon etc always criticize the Democrats for this war, but forget who the architects are.
This is Bush/Cheney/ Wolfowitz/Rumsfeld's War.
These morons were saying what a success this war was and waving their flags just a few months ago.
Now they're all against it, and it's the DEMOCRATS fault !
As far as the impeachment thing goes, Bush currently has the worse poll numbers than Clinton did when they impeached him, 39% of the population thinks Bush should go while 36% of the population said Clinton should go back in 1998. However, despite the fact that barely 1/3 of the population wanted him gone the Republican congress made it happen. The numbers are rising for Bush, and theres quite the case against him.
Actually Brandon, it is news to me that you have been against the war all along, but I will never call anyone a liar without having proof, so I will take your word for it.
That said, asking me rhetorical questions about when Congress is going to do something I think they should do is pointless. Once again, it appears that all you are really doing is taunting.
As for cutting off funding. I really don't think cutting off funding would "leave them stranded". However, that is the false fear that is being intentionally instilled into many people so that they will continue to support the war. Funding to get them home safely would certainly be arranged.
Go google this site and my name and the Iraq War and you'll see. Funny how you forget what you want to and then assume the rest (right or wrong). I knew this war would end up as bad or worse than Vietnam. Urban warfare is always a nightmare to try and conduct. The nature of the Arab world was also a huge concern to me. But we're there now. And as such, I support the military 100%, there's no use doing anything else but: they are going to be there for a very long time. There is no easy exit strategy. If there was, the Dems would have already offered it up, or maybe not. In case you haven't noticed, leadership isn't their strongpoint. And your notion that it's a "false fear" they'd be stranded without funding is ridiculous. Without funding they don't have the funds to afford bullets, weapons, cars, food, and thousands of other necessities when troops are deployed. I'm not sure what kind of military unit you served in but apparently you never thought to think about where the funding for the essentials of every day life in the military was coming from. Pulling that funding would leave them more unprotected and more at risk than they are now.
By the way, they found a body, wearing military fatigues and boots (U.S.) in the Euphrates River this morning. They're assuming it's one of the three missing GI's.
BU$HWIPES
Thanks Bob!
You being a good sport merits a higher level of respect.
Now, let me go ridicule Bovine.
Crap! Now I have to go cut some more firewood.

RK has said he has "clients".
That means he's either lying, again, or Amway is making a comeback.
Re-posting other people's posts, wow, could you be any more desperate? Keep trying and I'll keep laughing.....
Village idiots always laugh when they are the butt of the jokes.
They don't know any better.
Question: What would RK do in his life without this site?
He gets absolutely clobbered here on a daily basis and keeps coming back for more.
A masochist , maybe ?
Huh? What just happened? That re-post made no sense.
If RK wasn't such an asshole, you could almost feel sorry for him, almost.
Judy, the olbyloons are in desperation mode, just watch, you'll see what I mean.
Judy, craigy never makes sense.
And I had concluded you were a humorless shrew with a stick up your ass well before you declared jihad on me Cecelia.

Well, I've told you to back up, Mr. Pointy-head.
Keith is that 50-year old man

Kate's with him, but why?
The cringe factor's high

Yes a GOP patriot like Cecelia is very "concenced" with morality here at OW, goodness, where else would she go? Daily Kos, Huffington Post? The Newshole? naah, she would really stand out as the "clueless and self-important putz" she is.
Judy, you are here, why?
"Judy, craigy never makes sense."
RK's list of people that make no sense to him:

That's right... Get used to it.

Goodness, this is so easy, the comments almost write themselves...weeeeeee
RK, our traveling Amway salesman, is back to take another day of thumpings.
Wonder whether he takes more abuse here at this site or getting the door slammed in his face ?
Sorry, fell asleep last night real fast and missed all the talk. I'm back but shh! Watching Keith. I didn't talk last night after I signed off.
So when will Olbermann be airing a "Special Comment" aimed at the Dems?
As soon as you pull your head out of your ass and admit some of Rieckoff's points.
When Olbermann begins wailing away on the Democrats on a nightly basis as often as he does the Republicans, then I'll believe he's a fair and unbiased journalist. Not until. One night of mild remarks against the Dems don't cut it, particularly when the liberal blogs are all turning on the Dems, he's just preaching to the choir. . . . . . . again.
Notice Brandon doesn't have the balls to agree with any of Bob's or Rieckoff's points.
All factual, by the way.
Just business as usual with you , eh pinhead ?
So tell me, if the war is unwinnable then why do the Dems now think that timetables to withdraw should be eliminated? YOU don't have an answer for that one do you. Hmmm. I seem to remember them running on a campaign of ending the war in Iraq. When is that going to start?
And by the way, I have two family members in Iraq so don't think for a minute "Pinhead" that I don't want this war over and them home.

Brandon, why do people like you & Cee keep asking us why the 'Dems' don't seem to have the guts to do what you don't want them to do anyway?
Thank You , Mike, and extremely well said and to the point.

Brandon: "I don't want opinions, I want facts."
Fine Brandon...what's the problem? That's exactly what the remote control is for.
You know, I'm old enough to remember when you actually had to get up and walk across the room to change the channel!
Oops--don't have answers for those do you?
"when is your party drafting those impeachment papers they promised on Bush?"
Brandon is dumber than shit.
Everyone knows there aren't enough votes to draft impeachment papers. B/C OF YOUR REPUBLICANS.
But it never stops you and others from asking the same question.
You either really don't know the answer or you're just wasting all of our time.
They don't know shit, and they're proud of it.
Amazing !
Brandon is a shapeshifter.
