Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    June 26, 2007
Countdown with Keith Olbermann - June 26th, 2007

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • V.P. DICK CHENEY: Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.); Barton Gellman, Washington Post
    • SEN. RICHARD LUGAR (R-IND.) TURNS ON PRES. BUSH: Dana Milbank, national political reporter for Washington Post
    • PARIS HILTON RELEASED FROM JAIL: Paul F. Tompkins, VH-1's "Best Week Ever"

More "Dick" for Keith. Bring in a partisan Democrat on that. Thanks a lot "Dick." Seriously, is this guy ever going to get past his penis fascination? A Republican "turns" on the President (all he said was that he didn't think the current strategy was not working, not that he would vote with Democrats to end the war) and pervert comments galore on Paris Hilton! Glory holes anyone? More Bill O'Reilly attacks to bring up abymssal ratings. Updated And when I say abymssal, I mean it. Here are Monday's numbers:

    8PM - P2+ (25-54)
    The O'Reilly Factor - 2,717,000 viewers (529,000)
    Paula Zahn - 683,000 viewers (198,000)
    Countdown w/ Olbermann - 624,000 viewers (200,000)
    Fast Money - 261,000 viewers (99,000)
    Nancy Grace - 1,000,000 viewers (311,000)

Fourth overall and barely clinging to third in the demo. Number Two Olbermann strikes again.

    MADMAN

#5: Apparently, on OlbyPlanet, the Vice President has declared that he is no longer part of the Execuative Branch. I'm not terribly clear where Olby and has Laughing Stagehand got their information on "Mister" Cheney declaring such, but he has anyway. Moving along. Keithy expresses tacit sympathy for disgraced and indicted Congressman Jefferson because "Mister" Cheney played some role in his indictement. What the role is is not clear, either. None of that matters. The Spin Zone is all about innuendo. Bring Rahm Emanuel in who does not disagree with ANYTHING Olbersturmfuhrer asserts. Emanuel gets to filibuster like any Democrat does in OlbyLand. Of course, they sneak in the idea that Cheney is Bush's brain by suggesting he makes "every decision." Enter Keith the constitutional scholar asserting the Vice President, again, acts like the President. Of course says Emanuel. Could the parrot get any better? I'll be honest, I am not in the mood to really dissect this whole "affair" that Olby stole from the Washington Post. The funny part is that Hauptmann failed to mention all the criticisms that Washington Post leveled against the do-nothing Democratic Congress. Great Thanks.

Bring in Mr. Barton Gellman for more buttressing of Fat Ass's fascination with the eeeeeevil Vice President. Mr. Gellman SHOCKINGLY asserts that the Vice President aligns himself with the President's innitiatives despite not agreeing with them on No Child Left Behind and such. NO WAY. THE VICE PRESIDENT? THE MAN WHO IS PICKED TO BE ON THE TICKET? I am blown away. Throw in a cute baseball reference on Cheney's "batting average." I don't get it. I think I am too simple minded for Fat Ass. More blabbing on what the office does. Again, to be honest with you readers, I don't have the patience to dissect this whole thing. It seems to me that Olby and his lackeys have completely stolen this story from the Washington Post which he (Olby) has muddled into some evil conspiracy by the Vice President to hide documents or something. Really, it's an examination on the role of the Vice President. Jabba wants to make it out like a grand conspiracy of the Vice President's to hide something. Whatever. Thanks for your time.

#4: WHOAH - right off the bat. Logic - OlbyLogic - suggests that taking soldiers out of Iraq is the best way to protect them. Thanks Keith. I'm glad you said that because you treated the Fort Dix story like it was a joke. No danger presented there at home. Without a doubt, Iraq is more dangerous. But in my opinion, Adam's Apple is not really interested in the "soldier's safety", but rather ending what he sees as the great crime of the century - the Second Gulf War. It will makes us safer as a nation too, to bring them home. Sen. Richard Lugar is mentioned because he is concerned about the current policy - not that he has changed his position on the war cause. The number four story would naturally make it sound like Senator Lugar is interested in ending the war, which his office said does not mean he is joining Democrats on their policy. Mr. Dana Milbank chimes in to play sock puppet as usual. He gets himself over "gradual defections" like that of Sen. Chuck Hagel. There's a surprise he mentioned him because that's about all the real "defections" there are. Sen. Voinovich was thrown in there for good measure (vulnerable Republican Senator from Ohio). Milbank admits that the Democrats still don't have the votes to cut off funding. They are looking for a "middle ground." Keith thinks Democrats are playing this "relatively cautiously" which is code for not being radical enough for the DailyKos crowd. Milbank responds by saying that the Republicans leading an anti-war movement was as likely as Keith hosting the O'Reilly factor - ha!. He concedes there are only 6 or 7 "opposition" Republicans. Great thanks.

Oddball: In Peru, dressed up Guinea Pigs. Elvis impersonators.

Newsmakers: Residents of Louisville, some Police Officer, someone making crop circles in the Netherlands.

#3: Oralmann continues his Olbsession on Bill O'Reilly. Keith is incredibly excited that O'Reilly did not get into the Mets clubhouse. Wow, how important! Adam's Apple Olbermahn and his team of Laughing Stagehands play a clip of someone trying to portary O'Reilly's book as "pro-drug." Of course, why include anything refuting that? Just play anything that has someone attacking O'Reilly. I'm surprised the teleprompted didn't tell Keithy to start dropping "Dick" every other second. Olby is depressed O'Reilly was a keynote speaker at an event for journalists which naturally, Olby would never get. He only gets to speak at far left events or canceled interviews with his hereos like Valerie Wilson. Five minutes later, it's quite clear how desperate Man on Fan Olbermann is for ratings - he's still talking about O'Reilly - much to the delight of Moveon.org. Really lame "brain room" joke. This is why I am through a bottle of wine at this point.

#2: Tom Cruise does not get to do his film on Claus Von Stauffenberg - the man behind the 1944 attempt on Hitler's life. I don't really mind this segment because I think Scientology is a joke as well.

Keeping Tabs: Rosie is not going to be the Price is Right. Self promotion appearing on a Late Night Show. Congrats.

#1: Paris Hilton is freed, reunited with Tinkerbell. Thank god for this story. Tons of regurgitated video - even from MSNBC. Is Keith finally critcizing his own network? Doubtful. Michael Musto comes in to be the usual misogynist, glory hole and genital herpes referencing creep. Olby makes a "sucking up" joke and then cuts himself off. HA! I get it. Something Oralmann loves. He's in a suit tonight though - classy. Good night.

In the Media Matters minute, the silver goes to Pat Roberston for saying people agreed that Hugo Chavez should be "killed." Guess what the source was: Media Matters! Gold: oh so clever and original, Coultergeist - saying that Sen. Barack Obama should avoid words that sound bad in conjuction with his middle name: Blue Blog Source. She does not link him to terrorists, rather shouldn't use certains words. I'm not saying I agree with this assertion, but you can figure out the OlbySpin applied here. Edward R. Olbermann has not moved past his usual targets. What about all those offensive things Joe Biden said about minorities, Olbersturmfuhrer? *cue cricket sound*

    NAME

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olberman's name came in at a strong position of #8,040 at amazon.com, while "Culture Warrior" is #1,037. (It's that 2-for-$25 sale!) The OlbyTome is sadly, almost painfully, unranked at at Barnes and Noble; O'Reilly's book is #1,097 there. Reliable numbers for Monday night were unavailable at this time. I am confident Olby landed in either third or fourth. Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 4 [GUARDED]

Olby's Bill-O olbsession takes off yet again...

some headlines...this ought to be good.

Patsy, have you moved beyond the pony stage and slowed down? :)

You were the third post tonight. I would like to offer you some encouragement but I can't.

Once that progression from the vigor of our youth starts it seems to snowball ever downward.

Poor Patsy, you will eventually adjust to it. All we old broads and headed for the glue factory nags can do is to hang in there as best we can.

    Grammie

The coverage of the Lugar story was rather good tonight. I think this may be underplayed a bit. On issues of national defense and war, Lugar has tended to be the intellectual voice of the Republican party. While I certainly disagree with him on many issues, I always respect Lugar's opinion. Certainly, he is not the vacuous, blindly support the President type of say a Hutchinson or Chambliss. I think we might be seeing the start of some significant erosion of Republican support for this ill-conceived and poorly executed Occupation.

Bush will, of course, be "more timing" it right up until the helicopter pulls him off the White House lawn into a welcome and long overdue old age of irrelevancy. But, September may not simply come and go with just the vigorous affirmations of the Republican Chicken Hawk Caucaus. We might well have a reasoned and respected chorus of Lugar and his colleagues joining with the Democrats to finally end the wretched Kubaki.

Will it be enough? Probably not. The arrogance and stubborness of Bush will likely inspire the nodding nitwits on that side of the aisle, and as we already know, their numbers are sufficient to obfuscate and obstruct. But, we may have a real discussion. "Cut and run. Cut and run. Cut and run." It may not be enough this time. If nothing else, it will be a pleasure to see Bush sweat and squirm. Perhaps, he will be uncomfortable enough that he will be forced into a policy that will save at least a couple of hundred American lives and several billion dollars. We can all hope, and I certainly appreciate Lugar giving us a glimmer of hope.

Patsy, have you moved beyond the pony stage and slowed down? :)

Judging by the new appellation of "unrepentant BUSHWIPES", AAP's new sandals, white robe, and large placard are slowing him down.

Wow, dragging up stuff about Nixon. Do you have any dirt on Herbert Hoover or Abraham Lincon while your at it?

Olbermann should just change the name of his show to O'ReillyWatch. All he does now is bash O'Reilly. He has even given Bush a break to focus on O'Reilly.

It's no wonder that Keith sees a shrink
He's obsessed like a man on the brink
    Keith's whining 'bout Bill
    Like an infant it's shrill
Listing ship is beginning to sink

It won't happen in a million years, but just the same, I'd love to see this situation. Cheney has done talk shows before. The White House calls to say they're tired of Cheney getting slandered all the time on Keiffy's show, and request equal time. What does Olbyfag do?? Can he possibly turn him down? And there's NO WAY he has the balls to sit with him. An f-ing conundrum that olbydickwad would NEVER live down. He'd be damned if he did (Cheney would chew him up and spit him out) and damned if he didn't (his pussy partisanship would be on stamped on him forever). After all, nobody would EVER turn down an interview with the vice-president, right??

Well, I don't know about Abraham Lincoln, but I understand Mary Todd Lincoln was, well, if Washington had interns in those days .... Odd to find such behavior in a Midwest Republican.

hey Eddie, you think Keith is the only one who's on to Cheney's abuse of power.
Congress and the American people are all over this.

    ---

Yes, but not here at Olbermannwatch where the catch phrase is D-E-N-I-A-L. There are no problelms in Iraq or in the Administration. The Libby conviction was a sham. Bush supports strong borders. All this turmoil is because of the Liberal Democrat Olbyloons and the Left Wing media giants they control. If they would just be silenced we'd all be singing "God Bless America" and eating ribeyes in the brilliant sunshine day after day.

hey Eddie, you think Keith is the only one who's on to Cheney's abuse of power.
Congress and the American people are all over this.

Sure, congress is all over it. That is why they there approval rating in so high.
Most of the American people don't even know who Dick Cheney is. The democrats depend on the mindless zombies to vote for them, not you moonbat Moveon.org types.

I think you meant "their" approval rating.

GOP Support for Iraq War Slips
By ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writer
    2 hours ago

WASHINGTON - Republican support for the Iraq war is slipping by the day. After four years of combat and more than 3,560 U.S. deaths, two Republican senators previously reluctant to challenge President Bush on the war announced they could no longer support the deployment of 157,000 troops and asked the president to begin bringing them home.

"We must not abandon our mission, but we must begin a transition where the Iraqi government and its neighbors play a larger role in stabilizing Iraq," Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, wrote in a letter to Bush.

Voinovich, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released his letter Tuesday _ one day after Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, the panel's top Republican, said in a floor speech that Bush's strategy was not working.

"The longer we delay the planning for a redeployment, the less likely it is to be successful," said Lugar, who plans to meet later this week with Stephen Hadley, Bush's national security adviser.

Lugar and Voinovich are not the first GOP members to call for U.S. troops to leave Iraq. Sens. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, Olympia Snowe of Maine and Gordon Smith of Oregon made similar remarks earlier this year. But their public break is significant because it raises the possibility that Senate Democrats could muster the 60 votes needed to pass legislation that would call for Bush to bring troops home.

Their remarks also are an early warning shot to a lame duck president that GOP support for the war is thinning. The administration is not expected until September to say whether a recent troop buildup in Iraq is working.

"Everyone should take note, especially the administration," said Snowe, R-Maine, noting Lugar's senior position within the GOP. "It certainly indicates the tide is turning."

Lugar told reporters Tuesday that he does not expect the fall assessment to be conclusive and would only fuel sentiment among lawmakers that Congress should intervene with legislation to end the war.

"The president has an opportunity now to bring about a bipartisan foreign policy," Lugar said. "I don't think he'll have that option very long."

The White House on Tuesday appealed to members for more patience on the war in Iraq.

"We hope that members of the House and Senate will give the Baghdad security plan a chance to unfold," said White House spokesman Tony Snow.

Snow also said Lugar was a thoughtful man and that his remarks came as no surprise.

"We've known that he's had reservations about the policy for some time," he said.

Republican support for the war has declined steadily since last year's elections, mirroring public poll numbers. In an AP-Ipsos poll earlier this month, 28 percent said they were satisfied with President Bush's handling of the war in Iraq, down 5 percentage points in a month.

Earlier this year, Voinovich and Lugar said they doubted the troop buildup in Iraq would work. But they declined to back a resolution expressing opposition to the troop increase because they said it would have no practical effect. The two senators also refused Democratic proposals to set a timetable for troop withdrawals.

Other Republicans, including Sens. Norm Coleman of Minnesota and Susan Collins of Maine, expressed similar concerns about Iraq but recently have said they will wait until the September assessment before calling for a change in course, including possible troop withdrawals.

Voinovich and Lugar said they still would not support a timetable for troop withdrawals and are unlikely to switch their vote. But softer alternative proposals are in the works that could possibly attract their support.

After the Fourth of July recess, "you'll be hearing a number of statements from other (Republican) colleagues," predicted Sen. John Warner, R-Va., a longtime skeptic of the war strategy.

Warner spokesman John Ullyot said the senator is drafting a legislative proposal on the war, but declined to discuss the details. The measure would likely be offered as an amendment to the 2008 defense authorization bill on the floor next month.

In the meantime, Democrats say they will try again to set an end date on the war and cut off funding for combat.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., called Lugar's speech "brilliant" and "courageous" and said it would later be noted in the history books as a turning point in the war.

"But that will depend on whether more Republicans take the stand that Sen. Lugar took," Reid added.

Also on Tuesday, the Senate Armed Services Committee voted in favor of confirming Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute as Bush's personal adviser on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Pete Geren as Army secretary. A full Senate vote on the nominations has not been scheduled.

Sounds like the Republicans are finally coming around to advocate a strategy I forwarded a couple weeks ago...

To which Grammie replied it was 'very interesting.'

To which she added later, of course, it didn't mean that she actually agreed with me...Heaven Forbid!

It appears that Grammie and Cee and other like-minded folks here are approximately 4 years behind the times.

So, I'll check back in with you guys in 2011, when you know how I and the rest of America feels......NOW.

    >Most of the American people don't even know who Dick Cheney is.

    >The democrats depend on the mindless zombies to vote for them.

Intresting juxtaposition of theories there, factor. Especially since Cheney, the unknown one, is actually holding office as voted for by the previously mentioned zombies of America.

The democrats depend on the mindless zombies to vote for them, not you moonbat Moveon.org types.

Ed, since you didn't include it in your post, I thought I'd mention yesterday's ratings. I hope Doug is paying attention too....

O'Reilly 559, Grace 320, Olbermann 207, Zahn 201. (These are the ratings according to MSNBC, er, TVnewser for the coveted, all-important, revered, only numbers that matter, look how great CD is doing DEMO).

Pretty firm grip KO has on 2nd place now, huh? (As far as I can tell, the last time TVNewser has CD in 2nd, KO was gone and Allison Stewart was hosting).

And KO, ever the one with "News" picks a up a story about O'Reilly and the Mets game that ocurred June 16th and was reported in the NY Daily News, as well as all over the blogosphere on June 17th...way to keep your audience up to date, Keith....oh, wait, he also brought it up on Friday.

Well, it was such a ratings success, why not do the story again.

So, the ratings keep falling; the secure hold on 2nd place is no more (3rd is no longer a given, and that against an all but cancelled show). Place your bets on the Cheney "Special Comment" night....Thursday? Friday? Wednesday?

Sorry, I missed that billy had posted the (apparently) total viewer numbers from June 25th....honestly, with the name calling and language in his posts, I generally just skip them, and did so this time.

But then again, MSNBC only cares about the demo anyway, which is why I posted those numbers, and from their press department, oops, TVNewser I mean.

The fact is asses like you, Mike, AAP...........would not support any action. That's the liberal way. Add to that your biggest point is using the war and soldiers death for partisan attsacks. No surprise there either. Liberals are good at using fags, women and minorites for their votes. Maybe oneday some of these idiots will figure it out.

It kills me that some have CHANGED their opinions on the war. Why? Death? Cost? Who the hell are they to set a standard then. Most don;t believe in God so it's hard to accuse them of acting like God. I think they are fags. They have always had these beliefs but were afraid to come out.

Three years ago there was not the backlash there is today. So if we had 500 soldiers that dies and we spent 20 billion that was A O K with you. But any more than that then it's awaste and a lost cost. So the mothers of the first 500 soldiers that died should not feel anymore loss than the 501rst soldier or whatever you fucking liberals want to define or the line you want ot draw in the floor of your sandbox or the money liberals want to give to dead beats.

No, they changed their opinions because they realized that the war was founded on false pretenses. They realized that we're wasting our hard earned money toward a war that has and is accomplishing nothing but making the world hate us more. They realized that the American lives that are being lost there is not worth the outcome that might come from said war.

I wonder if Olbermahn will be "reporting" this story, The Haditha Hoax. Unbelievable stuff. What the left wing media will do all in the name of politics...

    http://www.charlotteconservative.com/index.php/2007/06/time-and-haditha-lies/

Off the thread but another MSNBC related....

How can you olbyloons defend olbermann and the left slanted MSNBC on days like today? MSNBC has spent a good portion of today's daily dose of lefty propaganda patting themselves on the back over the Anne Coulter hijacking by Chris Matthews last night. The network is great at covering and rereporting planned events that happen on their channel. After further review it was a publicity stunt... and a lame attempt to show the network's cutting edge.

It reminds me of the day that NBC and MSNBC made the "self proclaimed bold move" to re-label the Iraq war a 'civil war.' They spent several days bringing in various news pundits to analyze their own renaming of the war. "Oh, how courageous of NBC" "This is a great day in journalism" "Where were you when NBC made the courageous move to call the Iraq war a civil war?"

No wonder Keith Olbermann still has a job. Dan Abrahms can't drag this station any further into the swamp. Too bad cable band with grows each year and doesn't contract.

"Band width"- sorry about the typo

Great reading Royalty- I knew something was rotten in the state of Denmark when that Haditha story broke, but by the time the fog of war clears the liberal reporters are nowhere to be found. If they showed true diligence in reporting news, they would fact-check all stories - including those that cast our troops in bad lights. Unfortunately, if it makes the US look bad they ignore and even concoct facts to create an anti-america story. Shame on them... they should be brought up on treason for faking anti-us war stories.

Tim McGirk (time mag) should be dropped off somewhere in the sunni triangle for what he did. Right along with Mike Ware (cnn) and the idiot that owns wikipedia Jimbo Wales for naming it "the haditha massacre."

So I cancelled my Time Magazine last year after the rag went even more left than normal... and bingo... a new subscription for Xmas this year. I had to call everyone on my list and insist that it was a poor gift! Actaully a terrible gift for anyone with a mind.

Mathews went on the Today Show to get congratulated from Meredith on his ambush of Coulter. ABC ran the story but omitted the parts where Coulter made Mrs. Silk Pony look like a fool. Funny how no on brought up the fact the Edwards had to send his cancer stricken wife out to defend his honor. I guess Edwards is trying to deflect from the fact that he has a phony charity that funnels money to his campaign consultants as exposed on the Factor.

This is an internet question for Bob Cox (when he returns) or Brandon or Johnny $ or anyone else that may know.

For the longest time the Keitholberman.org/KO forum would only have 5-15 "visitors" to its site at any given time. They listed their highest visitors/users as 74 back in Aug. 2006 (this is when all the Karmabites stuff was going on). Since yesterday at any given time there is now 90-125 "visitors/users." What accounts for the huge "bump" and could it be a false number (not sure why they would want that), the comments continue to be the same old regulars (around 6-7 people). Just wondering.

chicken shitter has "transformed" into STO, Who will he be next? Stay tuned.......

    White House, Cheney's Office, Subpoenaed
By LAURIE KELLMAN, Associated Press Writer
    3 hours ago

WASHINGTON - The Senate Judiciary Committee subpoenaed the White House and Vice President Dick Cheney's office Wednesday for documents relating to President Bush's warrantless eavesdropping program.

Also named in subpoenas signed by committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., were the Justice Department and the National Security Council. The four parties have until July 18 to comply, according to a statement by Leahy's office.

The committee wants documents that might shed light on internal disputes within the administration over the legality of the program.

"Our attempts to obtain information through testimony of administration witnesses have been met with a consistent pattern of evasion and misdirection," Leahy said in his cover letters for the subpoenas. "There is no legitimate argument for withholding the requested materials from this committee."

Echoing its response to previous congressional subpoenas to former administration officials Harriet Miers and Sara Taylor, the White House gave no indication that it would comply.

"We're aware of the committee's action and will respond appropriately," White House spokesman Tony Fratto said. "It's unfortunate that congressional Democrats continue to choose the route of confrontation."

The showdown between the White House and Congress could land in federal court.

Leahy's committee and its counterpart in the House have issued the subpoenas as part of a sweeping look at how much influence the White House exerts over the Justice Department and its chief, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

The probe, in its sixth month, began with an investigation into whether administration officials ordered the firings of eight federal prosecutors, for political reasons. The House and Senate Judiciary committees previously had subpoenaed Miers, one-time legal counsel, and Taylor, a former political director, in that probe.

But with senators of both parties already concerned about the constitutionality of the administration's efforts to root out terrorism suspects in the United States, the committee shifted to the broader question of Gonzales' stewardship of Justice and, in particular, his willingness to permit the wiretapping program.

Piquing the committee's interest was vivid testimony last month by former Deputy Attorney General James Comey about the extent of the White House's effort to override the Justice Department's objections to the program in 2004.

Comey told the Judiciary Committee that Gonzales, then-White House counsel, tried to get Attorney General John Ashcroft to reverse course and recertify the program. At the time, Ashcroft lay in intensive care, recovering form gall bladder surgery.

Ashcroft refused, as did Comey, to whom Ashcroft had temporarily shifted the power of his office during his illness.

The White House recertified the program unilaterally. Ashcroft, Comey, FBI Director Robert Mueller and their staffs prepared to resign. Bush ultimately relented and made changes to the classified program that the Justice officials had demanded, and the agency eventually recertified it.

The fight was one of the most bitter disputes of the Bush presidency and questions remain over whether the program tramples people's civil rights. The administration says the program is crucial to preventing more terrorist attacks.

Thanks for the lengthy cut and paste, but, you're about 4 hrs late!

Yeah, but theres this thing I do...I back up what I say.

I am one such person. I am proud of that. Then, there are dim-witted, lazy, zit-popping buffons who spend countless hours at a keyboard in their parents' basement whining and detracting, cutting and pasting, downloading pictures of Dr. Wiener and Cheney and living out some odd and sickening cyber-masturbatory fantasy. Thanks, anonyloonbat!

You really are the epitome of retarded.

The orange faced Orallmann. How do you people watch this idiot and his "yes men" night after night? Certain olbyloons have even admitted to watching this crap TWICE every night!

The Factor did not "expose" Senator Edwards' charity; they got their information from the dreaded, liberal, New York Times. Imagine that. And the NYT article, if you read it carefully, explained that the organization is not a charity. But you had to read it carefully to get that. They tried to do a hatchet job on Edwards -- which rather defeats your arguments on the liberal bias of the media. The NY Times keeps running these articles that are full of hints that Democrats did something wrong (Clinton divesting herself of her blind trust, Edwards and his educational organization, Obama and his buying a piece of property for quite a bit more than the seller paid for it.) Yet every benefit of the doubt is given Bush, say, in this week's article about why he supports immigration reform. It's bad journalism either way and it's clearly evidence of something other than so-called liberal slants.

I watch it because I like his viewpoint. I also watch the O'Reilly factor when given the chance. They are very interesting shows and they present very interesting viewpoints. That is why I watch Countdown.

" they present very interesting viewpoints. That is why I watch Countdown."

What is interesting is that Keith NEVER has ANY opposing viewpoints.

Say what you will- at least BOR has on people with DIFFERENT points of view. Of course, that's why BOR has been NUMBER ONE for the past several years, while Keith lingers behind re-runs of Deal-or-No Deal.

I watch Countdown because somebody needs to do something about George Bush and Keith is the only one speakiing out. Most people are zombies and don't realize that Bush is ruining our country. It's like we are living in Germany right before Hitler came to power. If there had been somebody like Keith Olbermann in Nazi Germany in the 1930's, he would have brought the message to the people about what Hitler was really like and we would have never had WWII. Olbermann is providing the same service for our nation today and we should thank God that Keith does what he does.

    "Bush is Hitler!"
    "Bush is Hitler!"
    "Bush is Hitler!"

    "Nazi Germany!"
    "Nazi Germany!"
    "Nazi Germany!"

...we get it. Can't you libs learn a new verse to that sad song you've been singing since 2000?

    *WhEw*

Obama, Bush isnt Hitler, Hitler did what he did out in the open. Bush has created a huge wall of secrecy to hide the hospitals hes run down (walter reed), the torture he advocates, the prisoners he wrongly holds, the war's he poorly runs, the oil companies he gives contracts to and the whatnot. Bush wouldnt give us that courtesy to know what actually happens in the White House, its always, "mistakes have been made" and the mistakes are never made by people that matter...Makes you wonder how much power the low-level officials really have...They seem to make ALOT of mistakes.

STO is right, Bush is worse than Hitler. Bush should be like Clinton who never tried to get away with doing things in secret. Durbin had it right when he said that the way we treat enemy combatants is like Stalin, Pol Pot and the worst dictators in world history. That's why we need Olbermann to expose Bush for the threat to our American way of life. Olbermann has the goods on this administration because he gets people like John Dean and Ariana Huffington to blow the lid off. O'Riley will never have truth tellers like John Dean and Ariana Huffington on his show!

I would like to make a quick comment about the commentary provided on Olbermanns comments on Rudy Guiliani...

He did not try to "Swift-boat" Rudy. He did not get all upset because he talked about about Bill C

He got pissed because of Rudy's hipocricy. He points out that Rudy did not do anything toward counter-terrorism in his own city after taking office only 10 months after the 93 Bombing. Rudy says that Clinton did NOTHING about the attacks, despite hunting down the people responsible(Something Bush hasnt done), tried them, and sentenced them. Oh yeah, not to mention that Rudy praised Clinton for his counter-terrorism efforts only last september.

This website is so slanderous, could you try to misprepresent what was said a little better? I almost thought that Keith was just talking shit about Rudy, he made good points, every one of them was backed up. As opposed to O'Reillys attacks on George Soros...

Almost nobody went after Karl Rove when he leaked the name of a CIA agent as punishment for her husband exposing the truth about the Iraq trying to obtain yellowcake from Niger. Joseph Wilson proved Bush lied. Olbermann had the guts to report that Rove was responsible and that he would be indicted. Whether Olbermann is reporting about Rove committing the greatest act of treason in United States history or reminding us of the chilling parallels between Nazi Germany and the United States under George Bush, Olbermann should be considered the most respected and responsible news man in the business. If there is a News Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Keith should be enshrined along with Conkrite and Murrow.

    Conkrite? Is he somebody new?

IDIOTIC POST OF THE (YESTER)DAY WINNER!!!

    Walter Cronkite...ever heard of him?

John Dean and Huffington have been spewing the same crap now for how many years? I've yet to see impeachment papers on Cheney and Bush drawn up by the Dems. Furthermore, last time i checke,d the dems are almost as unpopular as Bush is with the American people. GET A GRIP.

Correction: Bush=29%....Democrat controlled congress=14% and still falling!

Furthermore, last time i checke,d the dems are almost as unpopular as Bush is with the American people. GET A GRIP.

Hey, Buddy...Congress is a Bi-Partisan effort. Everyone loses out, not just the dems.

My life's been basically boring. Not much on my mind today. I've just been letting everything pass me by recently, but such is life. Basically nothing seems worth bothering with, but eh. It's not important. I've just been hanging out doing nothing.

I've basically been doing nothing to speak of. Pretty much nothing exciting happening. I haven't been up to anything lately. My life's been really bland these days, but it's not important. Not much on my mind today.

11:01 is NOT me, it's a disgruntled spolbyloon.

If RK says something, you can always count on the opposite being true.

We can count on you being a multi name posting coward.

As many times as this troll, village idiot has been corrected and made mince meat with his points, he still continues to post as if none of has ever happened.

That is the mark of the truly insane.
