Brian Stelter, newly graduated from Towson University, is going to work for The New York Times. As of 11 AM this morning, Stelter was still posting at MediaBistro where he write the TVNewser blog which he founded in 2004 as "CableNewser". The newspaper of Jayson Blair, Rick Bragg and Maureen Dowd appears to be the perfect fit for the fact-challenged, far-left blogger.
Brian Stelter, the TVNewser blogger, is joining the Times next month as an 8i reporter to cover the media world for NYTimes.com and for the paper. He will report to media editor Bruce Headlam, and will work closely with Business Day reporters and with our friends in Culture, including television editor Steve Reddicliffe and reporters Bill Carter, Jacques Steinberg and Ed Wyatt.
For new readers, here are links to past installments of our long-running series on Stelter entitled "TVN: Journalism at its finest" which documents a few examples in his long history of playing fast and loose with the facts, manipulating ratings data and otherwise misrepresenting the truth.

Cox likes to consider himself 'Olbermann's Worst Nightmare.'
Hmmmm....Let's See.....
Since OW's inception Keith's ratings have steadily increased (as shown on a graph by Cox - I'm taking his word for it, as I couldn't care less)...
And Keith has got a new fat contract (again, I have no idea, I found that out here...)
With 'Worst Nightmares' like that, who needs daydreams?
Stelter will fit perfectly with Bill Carter at the New York Times who routinely portrays Olbermoronn's abysmal ratings (a humiliating FOURTH place out of FIVE) as "impressive".
But what will happen when the NYT expects young Brian to cover something other than the ratings "success" of Olbermann and MSNBC? And does Brian know that he can't just sit on his fat butt and expect people to email him with tips, he might have to. . . horror or horrors. . . leave the house to go cover a story?
Too much spin......going to throw up.....too much spin......going to throw up.....too much spin.......so who is going to go to the New York Times next? Rosie O'Donnell (D)?????????????
"There comes a point in journalism where striving for balance becomes irresponsible."
- Scott Pelley, CBS News Correspondent
He's got a point.
'More balance' doesn't always equate to 'More true.'
Opinions should be balanced...
Facts stand on their own!
There comes a point in journalism where striving for balance becomes irresponsible."

Yes, when a person has accrued the knowledge to determine his own responsibility, which is arbitrary in and of its self, would then venture to say that "responsibility" could be determined by searching for anything other than the truth and be held in the hands of a journalist for dissemination, without question, would have to fall under the pretense of delusions of grandeur.
LOOK AT ME- I called you guys BUSHWIPES!!!
hehehehehehe I am so clever. Get it?!? BUSHWIPES?
That's funny. I'm funny.
...And calling someone an asshole is clever?
I'm kind of glad Brian found a job. When posted his picture when he announced his graduation, I felt a little sorry for him, he looked like a younger version of Bob Cox. (sorry Bob).
Good Luck Brian, NYT--thats pretty impressive, congrats!
Yes, "Annon" it is! Like, BUSHWIPES! (see?)
Bob,
Have you read this? More importantly, have you listened to the long 2-part interview with Stelter? Part I is boring, but in Part II, he goes into the whole "credibility is all I have" argument and laughably tries to call himself fair to all networks. He also laughably says that he disclosed up-front who he liked and didn't like. Toward the very end, of course, he sneaks in a plug for Olbermann.

In 2000 I wondered how George W was able to get the republican nomination for President. Now I know old money and old power. When he was elected the next day I talked about it with a friend. I did not vote for him but I said "I hope he does a good job". Keith I respect you for your comments on July 3rd You are right on the mark. All you said is true . The American people need to wize up. We were stupid enough to elect him. Now we need to elect the best person to straighten out what he has done. I would like to add one comment.
THE W IS FOR WORST. keep up the couragious work
