Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

John Gibson Takes on NBC and Keith Olbermann's Special Comment

On his radio program Thursday evening, John Gibson asserted that NBC is violating its own policy guidelines, and one of the examples he cited was the latest Special Education Komment by the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann. We have the audio highlights for your listening pleasure:

For all the talk about how biased and right-wing FOX News is along comes NBC and MSNBC which gives KO a show still billed as a news program to call for Bush to quit...it allows Chrissy Matthews to work with the Edwards campaign to try to set-up Ann Coulter and it's going to give AL Gore 72 hours of free airtime to push his agenda and possible shadow Presidential campaign without any balance..now if that isn't signs of a biased news network ...what is?

I wonder if Olby will still proclaim himself to be non-partisan after urging "Mister" Bush to resign.

This is beside the point, but after listening to the clip, I googled John Gibson and checked out his Wikipedia profile. Half of it comprised "Controversial statements", half of which were sourced using far-left web sites, including Media Matters, Think Progress, and Newshounds. BO doesn't have too flattering of a review either. Yet Keithy gets a sparkling clean write-up.

Can anyone explain the liberal slant to Wikipedia's summaries of political commentators? Do only liberals contribute??

It is because people on the right have jobs, lives, families, chores, etc.

Liberals are the only ones who know how to string together complete sentences. btw, America's been a liberal country for some time now, but they probably hire people to do a better job counting the votes.

Obviously, I'm not a liberal by my own thesis.
I left off "should" before "probably" in the second sentence.
    Apologies to confused liberal readers.

"but they probably hire people to do a better job counting the votes"

Yep they'll count the votes of the dead, fictional characters, people who vote in more than one state, illegals and so on.

Anyone may contribute to Wikipedia. It's pretty funny that conservatives call an open-source site "biased." I've heard the same about You Tube. Read last week's NYT Sunday magazine for an interesting article how Wikipedia works.

    Says Corbett the Clown:

Um, no. This countries history is documented by liberals fucking up everything they manage. It may be liberal in that queer loving state you live in but come down here in the south and see how liberal it is. Get back in your sand box.

Thanks to your diasterous 7 years in office, we're becoming a more liberal country.

    Get used to it.

Its is no coincidenace that the most liberal states are the most fucked up. Ask California and New York people how their overtaxed incomes are being used. Not to grow...

    Anon (9:34),

It is the liberal states that support the conservative states. Didn't you know that?

Now be a good boy or we'll cut you off and you'll be blowing Iraqis for oil, son...

No longer true. Somebody is taking certain things out of Wikipedia entries. For example, the left wing blogger Glenn Greenwald got caught engaging in sock puppetry, and in humiliating fashion. The Wikipedia entry on him used to mention that fact, but no longer does. Somebody took it out, and it wasn't a right winger.

I heard that right wing politico Dick Cheney was drinking and shooting elderly lawyers in the face. Did that make it into Wikipedia?...

Thats president Cheney to you hack!

Here's a comma (,) and an apostrophe ('). Apparently, you ran out some time today, son...

    Feel free to use them!

When all else fails, the Olbyloons resort to correcting speling and grammar.

    Brando,

What did I "fail" at, son? I was addressing an off-the-cuff comment. You'd understand better if you'd ever typed anything substantial, child...

Wikipedia use to have the photo of Olbermann giving the nazi salute, that since has been removed.

    Blindrat,

Nice BJ reference. "...blowing Iraqi's for oil, son."

And just a whiff of pedophilia for that extra special creepiness.

You are one strange bird. You either dismiss people you disagree with or change the topic.

Having you here is like that kid from gradeschool who was retarded, but their parents refused to admit it, so they enrolled him in school where he immediately fell behind. As a defense mechanism the kid deludes himself with the notion that he is just smarter than everyone else and that's why they pick on him.

I am not going to pick on you. You're weird, but considering this is the internet and we are both hiding behind fake ids I fully expect you'll feel no need to respond to me.

Unless of course the name calling really gets to you...poopyhead.

In reference to the Gibson Audio...
Is there anyone other than John Gibson himself that thinks it clever and funny when he calls KeithO - "Keith Overbite"? Lame to the 10th degree.

    Hey Laura Bush,

    Silly girl,

What country do you speak of, Germany?

It's true. I am in a sandbox now, currently stationed in south Texas, which I guess is too liberal for people like you on the Reich.

Can you please give some examples of how liberals have, as you so poetically put it, "fucked up everything they managed?" or are you victimized to recall how to backup your assertions?

In turn, I'll show you a little something I was planning to use in Afghanistan, against some other enemies of our country, assuming you are referring to America, of course.

"Can you please give some examples of how liberals have, as you so poetically put it, "fucked up everything they managed?"

Go to the inner city of any major metropolitan area in this country.

All run by liberal mayors and city councils for nearly 50 years.

    And those would be?...

That hardly explains the level of incompetence at the federal level, at least to a rational person.

New Orleans is a prime example of liberalism at work. San Franfreako is another good one, Boulder, Co. Los Angeles, New York.......

    DC, New York City, LosAngeles,
    always vote 70% democratic
    highest crime
    hmmmmm

corbert- have you looked at the confidence levels for the democratic congress lately? Presume not.

OK, three cities. 47 more to go...

I guess Dallas and Houston are liberal too, looking at my regional representations. Pretty dismal city stats, crime, etc. Anything else you want to blame on the liberals? World War II perhaps, Mein Herr?

I have noticed the confidence levels of this democratic congress. tsk tsk, shameful. bad report card on those 100+ days compared to the last seven years. Yep, that's a good measure.

But what does the current u.s. democratic congress have to do with liberals? My guess, is that people are tired of the centrist approach of the last 20 years. Just a guess. But a backbone in either party in congress would certainly be refreshing.

    Corbett Comets

    Would you rather:

Not shower for a year or wear the same thing every day without washing it for a year?

    Sorry royalking, missed your post...

"New Orleans is a prime example of liberalism at work. San Franfreako is another good one, Boulder, Co. Los Angeles, New York......."

What part of New Orleans do you mean is liberalism at work? How it was completely forsaken by Bush & Company until it was too late to save some lives? Or are your referring to the actions of a former-republican mayor? I don't see it, please explain.

What are good examples of prominent conservative cities [you know, the ones free from crime and strife, unlike the San Franciscos and NYCs out there] or are we just blaming urbanites in general for our ills?

Anyone may contribute to Wikipedia. It's pretty funny that conservatives call an open-source site "biased." I've heard the same about You Tube. Read last week's NYT Sunday magazine for an interesting article how Wikipedia works.

As some have pointed out, a lot of "open" places are being warped by a group of few piling on and shouting down the greater mass. An example is digg.com and the "bury brigade".

    *heh*

Pretty funny, that. Guess I'm about to find out.
Shipping out for that pile of sand in a couple of days, fighting a little boys' war for him, and you.

No need to wish me luck, I know you'd rather piss on folks like me, defending your country, than offer support.

I hope you have the pleasure of actually fighting a war with your own hands someday. Maybe you'd be a little less cavalier with your opinions towards everyone but yourselves.

    Good luck, gentlemen.

New Orleans, Katrina hit with PLENTY of warning. Where were the mayor (d) and the gov (d)? Safe and sound in other states! Evacuation buses were parked as per mayor in known flood zones. Please, don't get me started on Katrina. The fact those idiots were re-elected (some of them) speaks volume for the city and it's politics. Second most corrupt, next to Jersey.

    Corbett Comets,

I salute you Captain Blowhard now don't hurt yourself falling off that high horse.

Quit your bitching about what people owe you, man up and do your fucking job.

    > Is there anyone other than John Gibson himself that thinks it clever and funny when he calls KeithO - "Keith Overbite"? Lame to the 10th degree.

Um, perhaps you should listen to the audio before offering a comment on it. I don't recall Gibson EVER calling him "Keith Overbite" on ANY audio clip.

God speed CC! I don't envy you fighting a war you are against.

Sorry if it is absent on this one- its the other radio pundit guy? My bad

Yeah, there was plenty of warning in NOLA, I saw the vtape of the president in conference beforehand. The mayor was a long-time [r] before he switch parties, btw.

But that still doesn't explain the state of the federal government. Is it typical for republicans to blame the state for failures at the federal level? How helpful is that to anyone ultimately?

And to the coward without a name: keep talking little man, you silly little coward. idiots like you are the least of my concerns, although i do appreciate a good ass-kicking every once in a while. Go back home, cry to mommy while the big boys fight your war.

    RE: Bush victory link above.

So a year ago the court ruling against Bush's wire taps was the lead story on every mainstream media outlet. Today when the higher court reverses it... nothing but air traffic updates and hot weather warnings. Have they no shame? Don't tell me that there isn't a media bias. Puuuuulease!

    >Shipping out for that pile of sand in a couple of days, fighting a little boys' war for him, and you. Posted by: Corbett Comets

Sorry if we may not believe you, but we just had some idiot claim his child died. (Posting as someone else). So...Good Luck, hope you come back alive and in one piece. If you are bullshitting us, drop dead.

    Corbett Comets

Maybe you are in the Coast Guard - I can't imagine the army or Marines tolerating such a belly aching little bitch - and maybe you are going in theatre.

Buts lets face facts. If you were 11b you'd be Crossfitting your ass off and wasting time filing the same paperwork higher lost last week.

You're a Fobbit. Enjoy the air conditioning, the MWR gyms, the Whoppers and the ice cream.

As for ass kicking. Please. Go get another tribal tattoo and smoke another pack of candy apples with the other geeks practicing your killer squints. Your about as hardcore as a fucking plebe at induction and twice as useless.

"It may be liberal in that queer loving state you live in but come down here in the south and see how liberal it is."

I would've never guessed that you lived in the south.

"Its is no coincidenace that the most liberal states are the most fucked up."

    Really?

Guess where the highest divorce rates are?
    Red states

Guess where the lowest wages are paid?
    Red states

Guess where the worst hospitals, museums and colleges are?
    Red states

What exactly is it about red states that is so appealing?

    FUCK FOX NOISE!!!

They've got Gibson screaming about "fairness doctrine" now??? I thought the "fairness doctrine" was bad, according to Faux Noise.

Oh, I get it. . .nobody's supposed to hear the other side of the story. What a fucking hypocrite!!!

And. . .where does that asshat Gibson get that stupid-looking Televangelist Hair????

    What a maroon!!!

"Is there anyone other than John Gibson himself that thinks it clever and funny when he calls KeithO - "Keith Overbite"?"

Go to the inner city of any major metropolitan area in this country."

Go to the major metropolitan areas and you'll find the best hospitals, colleges, museums, culture, and some poverty.

Go to redneck village and you'll find....
    ????

I guess there's no poverty in red states, right? No welfare in Dixie, right?

have you looked at the confidence levels for the democratic congress lately? Presume not."

Down to a dreadful 14% under the dems.
I dream of the days of the sparkling 19% congressional approval from last year under the repubs.

Olby lives in a blue state, his ass however, lives in a red state. Damn he has a big fat ass."

That's a lot of ass commentary out of you, Gleason...
Watch out, you ARE on a red blog you know...

New Orleans, Katrina hit with PLENTY of warning. Where were the mayor (d) and the gov (d)? Safe and sound in other states!"

Ok, maybe at the beginning the fault was their's. At some point during his banjo playing vacation, however, Bush must have turned on a TV and seen the devastation.

The mayor and governor were calling for help ROUND THE CLOCK for days.

Don't rewrite history. No one is saying ANYONE did a good job, except of course "Brownie".

Katrina was a nightmare for this country.
Thank God it opened a few more people's eyes to the nightmare that is this administration and its incompetance.

I salute you Captain Blowhard now don't hurt yourself falling off that high horse.

Quit your bitching about what people owe you, man up and do your fucking job.

Another compassionate post by a military friendly rightie.

guess where the highest crime rates across the country and the most ghetto areas can be found? Blue States, places I wouldnt go to unless I had a bullet proof vest with me at all times.

Dan, you'll want to pack a bulletproof vest if you visit my town. It's definitely a libnut wonderland. How do you think it became Murder Capital, USA?

    Moonbat rule=murder and mayhem.

"I guess there's no poverty in red states, right? No welfare in Dixie, right? "

Poor whites - rednecks you call them (another example of that compassionate liberalism at work) - vote mostly for Democrats.

This is true in the South as much as elsewhere in the country.

Here's a list of the most dangerous cities to live in:

    1. Detroit, MI
    2. Atlanta, GA
    3. St. Louis, MO
    4. Flint, MI
    5. Camden, NJ
    6. Gary, IN
    7. West Palm Beach, FL
    8. Compton, CA
    9. Tampa, FL
    10. Washington, DC
    11. Jackson, MS
    12. Newark, NJ
    13. Kansas City, MO
    14. Miami-Dade, FL
    15. New Orleans, LA
    16. Memphis, TN
    17. Orlando, FL
    18. Dayton, OH
    19. Richmond, VA
    20. Dallas, TX
    21. Philadelphia, PA
    22. Youngstown, OH

I wonder which political party runs these fine locales?

    Hmm?

What exactly is it about red states that is so appealing?

They have the highest charity rates too.

I think they also have the lowest crime rates.

One never knows whether He of Many Name's most endearing quality of the day will be his utter ignorance of virtually every subject or his rampant racism. I suppose today is a toss-up, but I am betting he is out behind his trailer building a cross to burn tonight. Can you hear his knees knocking when he finds out God is James Earl Jones?

what happened to last nights report?

"They have the highest charity rates too.

    Absolutely.

Also, the highest growth rates in terms of population. Most people are moving to the Sunbelt - south and west.

It's been documented that conservatives give 60%+ more to charities - both religious and secular - than liberals. This includes straight cash donations as well as donating time/volunteering.

Liberals want to put a gun to everyone else's head and force them to act "liberally". While not acting "liberally" themselves. The old "do as I say not as I do".

Conservatives talk the talk and walk the walk.

I'd love to see the document and the underlying data. Did Gibson or Hume Photoshop it, or did they use Publisher? Fact is, if you've ever done anything charitable in your life you'd know you're working with people from the entire spectrum, including the political spectrum. Stop trying to divide people and work at bringing us together.

Theres some serious O'Rielly & Fox News bashing going on at the Newshole (2 threads):
    O'REILLY TAKEN OFF AIR
    THE NEWS ACCORDING TO FOX

man, Olbermann is really tedious with his obsession with Bill-O & FoxNews.

NBC Universal, a giant media conglomerate owned by a defense contractor pushing for the election of one party while pushing for the impeachment of the President. Yet you liberals think the republicans are the party of big business. Interesting. Keep marching in lock step for your masters in the mainstream media, zombies. Who will NBC/Universal chose for you zombies to vote for. Al Gore or Billary.

clunker, Ive asked at leats 3 time for you to tell me the other names I post under since you can't make a post w/out bringing it up. You keep running from your wn spew, funny. Racist? Funny, I see nothing racist in the post you are referring to or any of my posts. Keep crying "racist" if you want, though. I post facts, nothing but.

    Bob,

You don't wear your hysteria well. I think it's time for you to chill out. Go smoke something.

The world according to bob, "we're all doomed!" Poor guy......

Bob's psyche is doomed. Unhingement kills.

The Olbyloons don't need proof. They're all about conspiracy theories, etc. They seem to think that there can only be one person who doesn't love, adore, and worship their God, Keith Olbermann, so therefore, we are all just one person here at Olbermannwatch.

Did your cross flare up nicely, as you had planned, Ye of Many Names? No damage to your person or to your trailer, I trust?

Talk about serendipity. First, you provide me that wondrous immigrant-bashing hate letter over the holiday, followed yesterday by an equally hate-filled letter singling out minority politicians, then Kay Bailey Hutchinson basically echoes the same thing in her typically platitude-filled, vacuous style in a guest editorial arguing, ironically, for border security. The curriculum already identified the Scriptural passages, so the two of you did all my work for me. I think my classmates are not going to have too positive a view of Republicans by the time the bell tolls for Mass tomorrow.

With no preparation required, I am thinking a couple of tubes, some Dos Equis, the neighbors on both sides and a leisurely float in the sun. A marevelous Saturday. Thanks, again. I can only hope you are all your namesakes have as equally great a time in the company of one another. Try to avoid any arguments with yourselves/among yourselves and just bask in the summer's glory. It will do wonder for your soul(s).

Glad to see you finally pulled yourselves out of bed, Ye of Many Names. Fuer mich, Regnet kommt. Schade.

You are brave when you think the mighty ones aren't around, aren't you? At least you're learning something from your Wiener.

I was stating the obvious, clunker. You keep accusing me of being "other people" but you just can't bring yourself to say who, I just keep laughing........Thanks Bob!

Fair enough, Ye of Many Names, I'll start accusing other people of being you. ....... Thanks, Dick.

The Olbyloons have a giant conspiracy theory where they truly do believe that every anti-Olbermann poster on Olbermannwatch is the same person. They also believe than anyone at a liberal website who dares to point out that Olbermann might be sexist or ageist or perhaps a little too far out there on the limb is immediately branded as a super-secret double-agent from Olbermannwatch. The theory seems to be that since they love, worship, adore, fall at his feet that everyone else must too and how could anyone possibly not worship him like they do? Therefore it all has to be one person in the world who doesn't like him, and usually for nefarious reasons at that. It's Olbylogic-it doesn't have to make sense mind you. But they themselves are not above using many aliases, Keith's number one fan is a clearly unhinged person from Ohio who goes by the name BerryBush at DU, Kathy at Keitholbermann.org, Tru at the Newshole, and Orinenglish at Either Relevant or True. The tip-off is her holier-than-thou writing style and her refusal to use one word when she can cram in 50. She's also pretty obvious about repeating phrases and talking points and posting in the same timeline on different boards, so the next time an Olbyloon makes the accusation that you're more than one person at this board, remind them of their own little: Kathy/BerryBush/Orinenglish/Tru. God only knows what other names she employs at other boards-or here for that matter. She seems to be very devoted in her passionate defense of Olbermann (he's either paying her or she's as off her rocker as he is). But in true Olbermannhypocrite style, they see nothing wrong with posing as multiple personalities at different boards or on the same board if it's in defense of the oh-so-indefensible Keith Olbermann.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, Benson and others.
No BS. Hope to get home in a few months intact and relatively sane.

As for the people who seem to have limitless contempt for the military fighting your war, like this one....

    "Corbett Comets

Maybe you are in the Coast Guard - I can't imagine the army or Marines tolerating such a belly aching little bitch - and maybe you are going in theatre.

Buts lets face facts. If you were 11b you'd be Crossfitting your ass off and wasting time filing the same paperwork higher lost last week.

[cc: *heh* ... this is actually funny, sad but true.]

You're a Fobbit. Enjoy the air conditioning, the MWR gyms, the Whoppers and the ice cream.

As for ass kicking. Please. Go get another tribal tattoo and smoke another pack of candy apples with the other geeks practicing your killer squints. Your about as hardcore as a fucking plebe at induction and twice as useless."

    Dear unnamed coward,

You're partially right. Was AD, but now in a position to do something else, which obviously can't be detailed here. I didn't bitch about the war when I was AD, but after being there and back a few times, I think I've earned the right to say what I want, sweet pea.

Although I doubt I'll see much of anything with indoor plumbing [much less a fry station], if I get a chance, I'll see if you're order's ready, little girl.

Was that two, three or five Happy Meals?

Yep, I'm not hardcore, just efficient and very good at what i do, very little paperwork involved. I leave the Rambo b.s. to the ones who feel the need to holler. Seen too many friends let that shit get them killed. But I'd be happy to kick your ass upon your request next time I'm back in the states.

    Keep dreaming, little tough guy.
I hope you never see what I have seen, or done.

Did you want a fried pie with those Happy Meals?
    btw, Steven Seagal says 'hi'.

Hope to trade gripes with you all in a few.
Keep shaking that bag of snakes while I'm gone.

Brandon, broke down beat up jalopy "clunker" thinks that because he uses several names that everyone else does it, too. We all know that the only ones that do it are the olbyloons/sp's out of pure shame and embarrassment.

Brandon, your OCD paranoia regarding Olbermann, and his 'fans' knows no bounds. Your 9:53 post shows it once again.

Keep it up though. It's fun to read your ridiculous phychoanalysis. It's also fun to read the way you think every Countdown watcher is a fan who reads and posts on his fan site.

I personally have never even visited his so called fan site and have no real desire to do so either. I suspect I am much more the normal Keith Olbermann supporter than this "BerryBush' character who, according to your characterizations, is just as much obsessed on the positive side as YOU are on the negative side of Keith Olbermann.

It seems you two have so much more in common than you thought!

The "Kathy" (Bates) woman stopped posting at KeitholbermanForum. Sadly, I miss her looney posts, they were very entertaining. She seem to stop posting when Keith called in (to DP radio show) from vacationing at the Bronx Zoo with his girlfriend. Perhaps it was all too much for her.

"the way you think every Countdown watcher is a fan who reads and posts on his fan site."

Funny, I didn't see anywhere where Brandon used the phrase "every Countdown watcher is a fan" in his post. Olbyloon Desperation, indeed. Time for "Top Ten Lies from the #1 Olbyloon" list. Many to chose from with no end in site.

Speaking of 'liars' Jeff...didn't you just say you weren't going to waste "any more of your valuable time" on me? I could have sworn thats what you wrote only yesterday.

As for my post addressed to Brandon, I can see where you might want to buddy up with Brandon....but I can't imagine why Brandon would want to be associated with YOU?

Brandon's just obsessed with a TV personaility...you're just plain stupid! LOL!

That would be the "divert" card.

"every Countdown watcher is a fan"

I'm pretty sure this was the subject at hand.

It really bugs the hell out of the Olbyloons and their sympathizers when I expose them for who they are on other boards. It's pretty easy when they spew verbatim posts at different sites in support of their man Olby. By the way, that's one of my duties here at Owatch--watching his lunatic fan base so my "obsession" is more of a job duty than a true obsession. IN truth, I don't give a crap what they do, I just find it amusing to report on for this website. It's just one more indication of the TYPE of people who watch Olbermann: whackjobs.

Is that anything like the illusion that Keith Olbermann is a real "journalist"?

Oh look. Someone is going to piss off JD by posting the same stupid comment again and again in every thread they can find on this board.

If only Keith's Krazies could figure out he's saying what he thinks they want him to say, not what he really believes. His best friend, Denis Horgan left the show because he got sick of the fraud and ego of Keith's. The more successful he gets, the less people around him can stand him. He speaks of himself in the third person and acts as if he's God's gift to humanity. Those who know him, know differently. If only his fans could see 1/2 of what the people around him can see. You think Bush is bad? You don't know the half of it.
