No Olby tonight, but news that he would be moderating a Presidential debate has been greeted with skepticism.
Others simply treated the notion with ridicule. John Gibson took aim at the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann (aka "Bathtub Boy"), and we have an audio clip for your listening pleasure:

The Democrats have a debate
They want Olby to moderate
They're avoiding Fox
For a sniffer of jocks
And a host that will just irritate
The dems are CLEARLY cowards.
Will KO hand each of them a check before the debate begins?
Will Olbermann be wearing his knee pads during the debate?
What would the liberal cowards have to say if Fox News has Sean Hannity moderate the Republican debate?
You liberals wonder why people think the Dems are cowards? Here is a prime example. They can't even take on questions from Fox News. GUTTLESS!!!!
So the legitamate choice to host a debate is Keith Olbermann? The man who gave So the legitimate choice to host a debate is Keith Olbermann? The man who gave Billary's husband a check on national TV. How many "hard" questions will Hillary get from Olbermann? Will she be asked how many troops she intends to keep in Iraq since she has stated she would keep troops in Iraq? You liberals never like to answer the tuff questions. You just spout off you zombie slogans. I HATE BUSH I HATE BUSH. Keep marching zombies. Lord Billary will soon be your candidate. Keep marching brainless ignorant moonbats.
How exactly are they cowards ?

By inviting Osama Bin Olbermahn to "host" the "debate," that's how. How loud would you cry if O'Reilly hosted a Republican debate? I suspect, loud as hell along with all the other cowards.
None at all, Mr. (D) Puffer.

If there had been a combine force of only 20,000 nazis and Imperial Japanese in 1942, and by 1947 there were 30,000 to 50,000 - despite the mobilization of millions of American troops, thousands of American deaths, and spending 300 Billion dollars; he just might have come to that conclusion.
To compare WWII and this fiasco is a historical blasphemy. Get yourself a little integrity and dignity. You bleeding-heart fascists are a disgrace to America.
There has been no serious attempt on the part of US war-planners and policy-setters to actually "win" anything. War makes tyranny easier; war makes money for well-connected industries. That's all you need to know about this presidency.
As Ronald Reagan said, "You'd rather bow down to our enemies as appeasers than die on your feet as a free man". Most of your problem with George Bush hits home everytime you fill up the tank on your Nissan.
Posted by: Laura Bush at July 18, 2007 8:59 AM
This is surprisingly cogent, Laura. Thank you for admitting that it is all about oil.
When you mention Reagan, however, you fail to note that had he not demolished the far-sighted energy independence initiatives started by Carter, then we would in all likelihood not be in a half-dozen messes in the Middle East. Of course, in that event your retarded husband would not be wealthy or president either.
On another note; you suggest that George and Ronnie are/were somehow "tough guys", but both avoided military service in wars they supported, and only gained war-monger street-cred through the deaths of others.
I bet George doesn't even fuck you with his own dick.
That's right WWII and the war against Islamo-Fascists have nothing in common. There weren't suicid bombers in in WWII, oh wait Japanese kamikazees. There wasn't the use of propaganda oh wait the Nazi's invented it. There wasn't an attempt by the enemy to indoctrinate and convert by force, oh wait again the nazi's. Yep no similarities at all. Germany/Japan/Italy are countries oh wait so is Afghanistan, North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Venezuela.
These fuckers are allies and they must be destroyed. Use the bomb for fuck sake.
Dear Chris Matthews,
I happened to catch your interview with John Edwards lats night and what a great interview it was. I just have one question. What does John's cock taste like?
Having a spine doesn't make you tough. It just makes you a Republican. I am sure it was mere coincidence that Iran gave back the hostages the day of Ronnie's Inauguration.

This is so inredibly stupid I don't quite know what to start with.
Sure, Germany, Japan, and Iraq also all share the characteristics of being composed of dirt and lying under parts of the earth's atmosphere, but the analogies really break down when you note that our enemies don't have governments or armies and such-like.
Having a spine doesn't make you tough. It just makes you a Republican. I am sure it was mere coincidence that Iran gave back the hostages the day of Ronnie's Inauguration.
Posted by: SLOB's a dumbass at July 18, 2007 10:15 AM
You are so right - no coincidence at all! It was a sordid case of coniving with the enemy known to history as the "October Surprise Conspiracy" directly linked to the "Iran/Contra scandal".
Republicans made sure that the hostages were kept much longer than they might have been with promises of some really sweet US-made weaponry. More Republican treason hidden from accountibility by "executive privilege.
hey SLOB-
Dems have nominated a black and a woman as nominees to be commander-in-chief of this country. I say no way in hell does either get in, too many people have too much hatred for Hillary and America is not ready to vote a minority into office. Obama will get spanked in the South and midland states. Let's all raise our glasses to RUUUUUUUUUDY, another 4 years of Republican in office, where the market will continue to soar and unemployment will be record lows, thanks to Republicans in command, cheers!
Yep no armies at all. There are no holy warriors led by Generals (Imams) and the stated goal of sharia law is nothing like the the nazi goal of the pure race. Yep no similarities at all.
Lets see Republicans weren't in power of any branch of Government yet the Iranians were going to "trust" the US to make good on these promises of weaponry. I see it now. It makes perfect sens, if you are batshit crazy!!!!
"The other consequence that we have not talked about is what happens when 54% of the world's oil supply goes to risk with the collapse of the region. This is a reality check that we only talk about in hushed terms, because we don't like to talk about our dependency on a part of the world that is so unstable."
Senator Larry Craig (R-Idaho), on the senate floor about five minutes ago.
"Hushed terms" because up until now the American neo-fascists have savagely denied oil as a casus belli in regard to our ocupation of Iraq.
More and more as their backs are against the wall the righties are hauling out their last ditch rationale for the war - the only one they've used with any degree of truth; the one that all of you lambasted Micheal Moore et.al. five years ago when they were yelling "no blood for oil".
You're so smart you know latin phrases and stuff and even use the correct genitive case of bellum. Hooray for latin phrases and their inherent meaning of intelligence for those who use them. Hooray indeed.
Michael Moore is right the gitmo prisoners have the best health care in the world, so why are we complaining about their mistreatment?

Posted by: SLOB's liberal indoctrination knows no bounds at July 18, 2007 10:51 AM
It all actually falls together quite nicely:
The Iranians loved humiliating Carter; when their "kitchen cabinet" conspiracy began, Reagan looked sure to win the election; then he won; the hostages were released concurrent with Ronnie's innauguration; Reagan delivered the weapons - despite Democratic control of the legislature - through the criminal enterprise known as the Iran-Contra scandal. Read a book.
Help. Speaking about Viagra, on the website forthisreliefmuchthanks.blogspot.com, it reads “This blog is open to invited readers only.” My google account does not work and I would really like to read this. Does anyone have a password that I can use to read this? Thanks.

None of these countries have armies? Really? Read a book.......
Not a fawning interview, because Olbermann does most of the talking....(KO is laughing all the way to the bank with the Bill O'Reilly stuff---hope Bill-O doesn't retire when Bush leaves office, if that happens, Olbermann's career is over.)
Keith Olbermann, "O'Reilly's Virus," to moderate his first Democratic Presidential Candidates forum. (excerpt):
On the analogy of Bill O'Reilly to Sen. Joe McCarthy and why people put up with what he called O'Reilly's "total loss of a sense of proportion":
"You ask, why is it tolerated? Joe McCarthy has people who, to this day, has people who say of him, '"Well, he was right. He really was a great American." He was a United States senator. He ran the political system.
"Sometimes I'm grateful that Bill O'Reilly's on television. I mean, what if he were in Congress? There's always been a little room for some crazy demagogues--with that kind of media presence, because there is that mesmerization quality to him. "

Afghanistan has an army - they are our allies, last I heard.
Iraq's army? Last I heard we were training it.
I have yet to hear of any shooting between us and Venzuela or North Korea.
Are we at war with Iran? I know you want to be - well, you want my kids to be...but you know what I mean.
AlQeada, our actual enemy, is an international criminal organization that our president has lowered us into waging "war" against, rather than sending the cops.
What I meant was your previous comment was bogus.

Proud of that all night session?
"Proud of that all night session?"
Yes, I'm 'proud' of anything the clear thinkers in Congress can do to try to end this right wing travesty that has cost our country unimaginably.
Unfortunately, mountains never get moved overnight.
Do you think the Olbyloons could find a real man and have a real relationship in real life? It's both amazing and not a little bit frightening that the Olbyloons know his every move.
"Clear thinkers" is not a phrase I would call a bunch of people pandering to MoveOn.comedy and co. But its fun to watch these great democrats run in the mud and get no footing, claiming to make progress. Bring on Hillary!

clear thinkers?
Pulling out on a set time table is careless and without foresight. Your heros like Reid REFUSE to answer the media question... "What happens in Iraq if we leave soon"? Its been asked repeatedly by the press- yet he will NOT answer it.
Thats not clear thinking. Its political knee jerking.
Staying up all night in an obvious political stunt is what makes these Democrats more useless than the last Senators that were ousted in '06. I voted Dem in 2006 hoping for a group that actually did something... and we got these clowns. They do nothing, but they actually put together these photo ops to make it look like they are doing something.
And then clowns like Keith Olbermann eat it up as progress. Washington is a mess and it is from both sides. Unfortunately loons like Mike think it's working. For shame. But I expect Keith to call it a huge overnight success.
benson,
What happens if we stay, son?...
Benson sez: "Pulling out on a set time table is careless and withour foresight?"
--------------------------------------------
Staying is "careless and without foresight" as well.
Benson wnats to know: "What happens in Iraq if we leave?"
----------------------------------------------
OK, oh wise one Benson, lets begin my answer with a question posed to you: What happens in Iraq if we stay?.....The only HONEST answer you could possibly give me would be "I don't know".
Now lets move to your question: What happens if we leave?.....The only HONEST answer ANYONE can give would be "I don't know".
Benson, I realize that you THINK you know what is going to happen! But you're still listening to the propaganda being spread by the exact same idiots who got us in this mess in the first place.
The ONLY thing that is predictable is that many more Americans will be killed and maimed if we stay. NOTHING else is predictable!.....And the odds don't change one iota...whether we leave, or whether we stay.
Finally Benson, ...trying to do the right thing is anything but "political knee jerking." The WRONG thing to do is to continue to sit on their dead butts like a bunch of puppy dogs being led by the ring in their noses....as they have been doing for the last 5 years.
Supersonic: "Do you think the olbyloons could find a real man and have a real relationship in real life? It's both amazing and not a little bit frightening that the olbyloons know his every move."
Would you mind translating this psychobabble into English?
Mike,
As a sworn deputy of the metaphor police, I must warn you that another metaphor like the dead butted puppies with rings in their noses and I will be forced to put you in creative writing prison...
This a post from Inside Cable News from the link above that says a lot in few words.

Gee, I wonder what the questions will be like…
“Why are the Republicans so terrible?”
“If you had your way, what matter of imprisonment would you give Karl Rove?”
“Should we impeach all the republicans now?”
“What is your strategy for getting Bill O’Reilly off the air?”
Predictable. Uninformative. Pathetic.
But hey, on the bright side. This might be the first time O’Reilly goes after Olbermann by name. That should be fun, no?

Nothing like a fun but extremely gross exageration of KO's bias....eh, Grammie?

From the latest Zogby Poll just released today:
" In the national survey of 1,012 likely voters, taken July 12 through July 14, about 66 percent said Bush had done only a fair or poor job as president, with 34 percent ranking his performance as excellent or good.
That is up slightly from his low of 30 percent in early March and in line with other national polls showing Bush's approval ratings lingering at or near historically low levels amid continued chaos and bloodshed in Iraq.
But the marks for Congress, mired in gridlock over a series of partisan political battles after Democrats took power in the 2006 elections, continued to drop.
While 83 percent said Congress was doing a fair or poor job, just 14 percent rated it excellent or good. Last October, in its final days, the Republican-led Congress earned ratings of excellent or good from 23 percent of voters"
The URL was very long and I don't know how to do a link but if you google "zogby poll" and go down six or seven entries to "News results for zogby poll" that will bring you to it.
Grammie
Yodell, I think your idea would make a great SNL skit.
If they do one you should demand royalty rights.
For fun how about we write the questions for KO and Hannity based on their statements.
Mine for KO would be:
Do you agree that 'the leading terrorist group in this country right now is the Republican Party' or has GWB's scare tactics and fear mongering duped you along with most of the American people?

The initial invasion was a bad mistake - representing as it did the international crime of unprovoked agression. Even I admit, however, that a stable Iraq might have resulted had certain strong measures been implemented rapidly following Saddam's fall - namely the plans laid out by Jay Garner, the first American civilian authority put in the green zone after the invasion (e.g. national elections no later that June, 2003; giving Iraqi firms precedence in reconstruction contracts;...).
But instead, Garner was rapidly fired and Bremer proceded to take EVERYTHING apart: disbanded the army, the police; eliminated the civil bureacracy via "de-Baathification; allowing looting of everything nailed down or not;...).
That was when the chaos truly began, and every catastrophe since then and yet to come - whether we leave or not - was determined at that time. We need to accept that and start prosecuting the guilty.
We need to leave Iraq now, handing "security" and managment over to an international (primarilly muslim) coalition. We need to pay the bill for this coalition - using the tax dollars of the stupid American eletorate, augmented - ideally - with the confiscation of the looted wealth of Halliburton, Bechtel, and other war-profiteering companies, and the family fortunes of Bush, Cheney, et.al. - after slapping them all in prison for international crimes against humanity.
...it might be hard to confiscate the looted wealth of Halliburton, as Cheney's company has moved to Dubai, where all the American treasure they have been paid is free from US taxation. Hooray for the "free market!- right?
Your leaders aren't Americans; they are unaccountable international pirates.
Sir Loin of Beef,
You and I seem to have much in common. Are you a fruitypants as well?
Mike, regarding the "psychobabble," as you put it:
if the Olbyloons are following KO's every move, get upset when he's not on "Countdown," analyze his every word, it would seem that the Olbyloons lack any type of true interaction with the opposite sex. Get a real man.

Mike,
You seem to have reading comprehension problems. I ASKED you if you liked when I said those. Do you see the "don't you"? Maybe you should have an adult read my posts and explain them to you.
This audio is great stuff. Picture all the "journalists" sitting at Olbermann's feet hanging on every word. They really do love this guy. Keith really does like to hear himself talk....and talk about Bill-O.
To Keith's third grade level Name Jacker:
No, asshole....you ASSERTED that I 'like' it with your childish prankish little mannerism, then you added "don't you" as a cover for a 'question' that really wasn't a question.
My reading composition is just fine, thank you....faux funny guy!
Mike,
You seem to have anger issues as well as reading comprehension issues. You also seem to feel the need to tell others what they are meaning. That seems extremely presumptious. I meant it as a question. I posted it as a question. It's not my fault you have all these issues. Maybe you need a nap or something.

Keith Olbermann is one of the voices of reason on the MSM.
The reason why the democrats don't want to be on Fox News is because Fox News is not a real news agency. It's the same reason they don't want to have a debate on E! - Fox News does not deserve to be considered a news agency at all.

Jay is a perfect example of whom they’re trying to cater to. The people who’ve already given up their free thought and critical thinking abilities, for a much more comfortable and easy lifestyle controlled by media figures and liberal blogs. He’s surrendered his ability to question what’s actually going on, for the convenience of having his world black and white. FOX bad. Olbermann good. Republicans bad. Democrats good. No thought necessary. Rinse, lather, and repeat....

Chicken Blogger, I made no comment but just copied and pasted from the Zogby poll and pointed out how to get to the source and any additional results. Any problems you have with the poll and its results are best addressed to Zogby.
Of course Congress is comprised of more than one party just as it was last year and all the years before the 2006 elections. To state the blaringly obvious should only be necessary if one is addressing school children.
I noticed a Chicken Blogger made the same ignorant point a few days ago (perhaps that was you also but I can't tell one chicken's cluck cluck from another chicken's cluck cluck) that you also made:
"The US Congress consists of both democrats and republicans with the D's only holding a one seat edge."
I already addressed the the Dem/Repub issue. The U.S. Congress is composed of both branches of the Legislature which totals 535 seats. It is true that the Dems have a one seat majority in the Senate (not a unique situation) but they have a thirty two seat edge in the House for a total for the Congress of a thirty three seat edge.
I can't even give you a 'nice try'. All you rate is a 'no cigar'. :)

Not too fear. It will only last until the next post by Ms. Hawkins, Mr. Royal or Senor Dollares. They will restore the absurdity in short order.
