"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)
Guest Host: Alison Stewart
Topics/Guests:
Oralmann's moving in his new place,
Ally's on, a much friendlier face.
The producer won't stop,
Books the same far-left slop.
OlbySpin will continue apace.
she's pitiful as the artist formerly known as olby
Krazy Keith's off to ruin football
With his presence, the ratings will fall
Moonbat comments won't fly
With the Joe 6-pack guy
Blame Bush for the official's bad call?
Olby, the first anti-sportscaster
Now he has expanded to political broadcaster
Hated athletes, but did the sports
Now it's all W's fault, Keith reports
No one on TV spews inuendo faster
--Moonbat comments won't fly
With the Joe 6-pack guy--
I think Katy Turic's right. Let's hope this promotional maneuver on the mothership flops and doesn't give another dangerous, unqualified hack a greater influence on the (dis)information the public consumes.

Olby will be up against a new season of 60 Minutes and/or the football game that is scheduled prior to the start of 60 Minutes. He will barely make a blip in the ratings. NBC has finally jumped the shark and shown the world how seriously cheap they are. They just deployed a bunch of MSNBCers back into the workforce this week, so the budget ax is still swinging at 30 Rock.
NBC News is Al Jazeera @ 30Rockefeller Plaza. They are indeed jumping the shark as the they prop up Olbermann as the new face of NBC News.
Olby is right... It's a bigger storefront, but not that big. This is a pre-season game.
When mainstream America sees the carnival barker who now walks in the shadows of Huntley, Brinkley, Chancellor and Mudd, it will prove once and for all how much the NBC News leadership hates Bush, hates this war and hates conservative, family values.
NBC news is the most left wing news organization on the planet. They should sell their programming to Al Jazeera who would gladly run Countdown if they were given the opportunity.
Of course Olby will be on the Michael Vick bandwagon, but he better be careful about what he says. There are still a lot of Vick supporters out there.
When Olby goes on Nightly News, he opines on "safe" topics, such as being against steroids. He's not wandering into risky territory if he opposes animal cruelty and suggests that Vick be punished to the full extent of the law. I stick to my prediction that the mothership will make CD tone down the ultra-lefty rhetoric and socialist agenda. Perhaps Standards and Practices will review his script prior to broadcast. Even worse, someone in the News division may suggest that he present opposing viewpoints or request interviews with those he plans on bashing. That'll hurt, won't it Olby?
Feechie:
Son, read the newspapers. It might actually help you.
From Thursday's Globe and Mail:
"On Sunday, Olbermann will deliver a halftime opinion piece on Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who announced last week he will plead guilty to U.S. federal dogfighting charges.
'If you dislike or hate Michael Vick for what he's done, your hope should be that the NFL's punishment against him is minimal,' Olbermann said. 'It's sort of a counterintuitive argument.'"
Dear Olbermann Watch:
Please stop sending racist trolls. The last one was branded such for calling Barack Obama a "sambo".
Sincerely,
Moderator, KO.O
Clucker,
Your argument is inane. Leftists in America and Islamic fundamentalists have the same enemy: America.
Clucker,
Lets take a poll, of every convict in America currently behind bars. Let's ask them the following question: Who did you support for President in 2004, Bush or Kerry? Or we could ask them this: Who did you support for President in 2000, Bush or Gore? I assure you that the overwhelming majority, perhaps over 95%, will tell you they were for the Democrat.
Virtually every violent criminal in the country is on the left. Just ask them. You talk about Oklahoma city. Yes, the criminals there were perverted rightests. But let us add up all murders committed in 1995. It's still your side that did the most killing of Americans in America that year, and every other year, too.
Well since there is no study and you just pulled that out of your ass, i would I say the opposite is true that 99% would have vored for Bush.
"Let's ask them the following question: Who did you support for President in 2004, Bush or Kerry? Or we could ask them this: Who did you support for President in 2000, Bush or Gore?"
Rico:
That would be a stupid survey, since convicted felons CAN'T VOTE anyway! I mean, since Republicans in Florida made such a big deal of purging voter rolls of anyone who's name was even slightly close to that of a convicted felon, you'd think the concept of disenfranchisement would have sunk in by now.
Dingbat leftists,
It doesn't matter if they can vote or not. The point is what side they are on.
I am not aware of any such poll as to the politcal affiliations of convicts, but I want there to be one. Do you?
It is the Democrats who want to let convicts vote. It ain't because they think that convicts are going to vote Republican.
"Simpleton" is mikes famous rebuttle. A clear sign they have NOTHING. Slinging that term around is as much as waiving the white flag, Rico.
6:38, Do you always babble incoherently? I think "psycho babble" fits your posts more eloquently.
10:51, if Olby makes that argument, then he's even more stupid than I thought.
10:51, if Olby makes that argument, then he's even more stupid than I thought.
Then, Sir, the only worthy response I can make is you are, indeed, a simpleton. I am sure you realize that every credible domestic threat to America has always been from the Right, Oklahoma City being only the most obvious.
Posted by: Clucker at August 25, 2007 12:53 PM
I've said it many times, Clucker; Give the right wing a few more years with a Democratic congress, and a Democrat in the White House, to boot, and we are going to see domestic terrorism in this country like nothing we've seen before. The Bush "justice" department is already coddling those wing-nuts with the most highly developed senses of insurgency:
- the kid who tried to board a plane last year in Okla. City with a pipebomb - scott-free due to help from his republican representative and the republican mayor of the city;
- the pipe-bomb and briefcase-bomb factory in Tennessee, who's stated targets were illeagal immigrants and plain old "non-whites" - don't know what's happened in this case because the MSM never mentioned it;
- the anthrax killers - attacking Democratic legislators and killing five postal workers in the process - uncaught and unsought.
- and don't forget cee's buddies the born-again anti-abortion zealots - they can kill and threaten to their hearts' content, but its the "eco-terrorists" who end up topping the administration's domestic threat list.
Yep - with boosters like Ted Nugent and Ann Coulter publically already calling for the murders of liberal supreme court justices and legislators first during unopposed Republican rule, and now during this protracted period of sluggish transition; just wait until the Senate is firmly Democrat, Kucinich is in the White House, and the next two or three justices who kick the bucket are replaced by hard-core lefites. We need to be ready for some really nasty shit from these drowning-rat fascists.
SLOB,
On this very page we have a lefty, O'Leilly talking about killing people on the right. Will you tell him to STFU, or are his comments just harmless jokes?
Don't forget the SDS, the Weathermen, The Symbionese Liberation Army, and the Black Panthers of the previous generation.
These are all violent left wing groups that have committed murder.
But today is more important than yesteryear. Virtually every murder committed in this country today is committed by a person who is definitely not a Republican. How many black or Latino gangbangers are Republicans? I would venture that the number is appr. 0. What's your number?
Rico,
The Left is peaceful and is uncorruptable!

I always figured O'Lielly was a rightie provocatuer trying to elicit actionable statements from us leftie trolls. You my notice he is studiously ignored - when not outright criticized - by leftie posters here.
On what basis do you make your sweeping and patently ridiculous statements regarding the party affiliation of "ganstas"? My own suspicion - based on no more evidence than are your wishful beliefs - is that that demographic rarely votes or engages in electoral politics in any way.
It may be that when these people do enter the political sphere it would be statistically more on the Democratic side, given the fact that rehabilitation and social programs aimed at improving the conditions from which such endemic criminality arise are always the result of Democratic initiatives, whereas Republicans prefer vigilantism, execution, and interminable cycles of incarceraton as the means to "fight crime".
...one thing that can be said, Rico, is that our murder rate is much higher than in other industrialized countries in which more liberal social plicies prevail:
"The U.S. has a higher non-gun murder rate than many European country's total murder rates." http://www.guncite.com/gun_control_gcgvinco.html
- you add the gun-murder rates and the difference escallates. This does NOT appear to be a factor of gun-control legislation when historical data is considered, but there is a strong correlation with the adoption of liberal social policies.
Rico: "how many black or latino gangbangers are Republicans?"
CMON!.....Don't you think a more honest question would be 'how many black or latino gangbangers give a happy damn about politics period?'......??

The same with white supremacists, anarchists, and other crazies.
Grammie said it best when she likened the tendency to denigrate opponents to the point where they seem sub-human, as being Hitleresque.

Yes, I call it the Anne Coulter/Ted Nugent Christian Caliphate.
Yes, I'm sure you're right. If there's a Ruby Ridge or Waco occurence we'll all switch sides and defend or deride based upon political persuasion.
"The same with white supremacists, anarchists, and other crazies."
Wrong. Anarchists and crazies I will give you; White Supremacists were staunchly Democratic until Nixon's success with his "southern strategy", when Republicans courted and won the racists of the south. They are a very political group - with potentially violent elements always very close at hand.
Burning a cross on smeone's lawn is an act of terrorism, and it happens to this day.

An accurate-enough handle, but probably not very catchy among its proponents. I think "Kingdom of God" and "Dominion of God" have been floated.
BIG NIGHT FOR OLBERMANNWATCH...
Good luck guys !! This is your big storefront opportunity.

Well, maybe you can write in and vote on the title that packs the most politically pejorative punch, for those who prefer their fear" and their villans of a domestic vintage...
"Virtually every violent criminal in the country is on the left."
-Rico
I blink my eyes for a second and another of the "Best of the Wingnut comments" come sliming out over the "internets."
Posted by: Why don't you think at August 26, 2007 11:47 AM
Yes, it was a ridiculous comment.
We can be sure that you'll give proper attribution when quoting ridiculous comments from political opponents, for all others (besides the modicum that comes from your own mind), there's google....
Whatizname, since you used a quote that you ascribe to me I assume you have the citation handy to back it up.
I would like to see that.
Grammie
Oh, drat! I believe that Olbytard's mothership premiere is going to be interrupted by regional programming where I live. LOLOLOL.
Whatizname, to make your long justification short you are saying that you've got squat.
Grammie
No Olby on TV where I live. I can watch the game in peace. Could someone provide a review or show update? I want to find out if our Marxist pal has changed his tune for his corporate masters or if he will continue bowing to his blue-blog brethren.
Not really. I've noticed that libs' logical deduction skills are sorely lacking. Probably because they can't argue issues. Instead, they lob insults and change the subject.
Fact- The Democrats have been pushing to overturn regulations in the 48 states that do NOT allow convicts to vote. Hmmmm. Wonder why? Even newly moderate Democrat Hillary Clinton has recently endorsed voting rights for ex-cons. This is inclusiveness with a vengeance.
I suppose Rico was right that the Democrats have quite a voting block among felons.
I always expect levity from the loons when they are presented with the facts that shine the true lights on their party's M.O.
Sad but true... pandering to the convicts would have turned florida blue in 2000... so that is where the dems have made their strongest push for giving ex-convicts the right to vote. Coincidence?
Is that you changing the subject loon?
Additionally: In California the Dems are pushing for voting rights to illegal aliens. (key word 'illegal')
The UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center has released a study laying out a road map for securing voting rights for non-citizens, including illegal aliens.
Although I am sure you guys back this measure- it seems even more ludicrous as California hasn't gone 'red' in decades.
Got the link for your winning florida vote count loon?
How did he do the last 7 years?
Another election won AND two right slanted supreme court justices... where's your 'ha' now loser?
You are bitter nameless...
go on and on--- or is that all you have.
Clucker,
If felons had the right to vote(in federal elections) in Florida in 2000 it would have been a landslide for Gore. Or are you going to say it could have gone either way?
Rico, it's been well documented that if pit bulls had been allowed to vote, Gore would have won hands down as well. However, if chihuahas, shar poohs, and persian cats had been allowed to vote, the Supreme Court would never have been needed to determine the outcome.
Rico: "if felons had the right to vote(in federal elections) in 2000 it would have been a landslide for Gore"
How ironic it is that felons in Florida could have prevented the Iraq fiasco!
Clucker,
The NY Times extensively investigated the 2000 Florida election and their conclusion was that Bush won, and didn't steal anything.
Too bad, Mike.
Life's a bitch.
Why.............,
You are in a state of perpetual hysteria. The operative word is "unhinged".
Rico to why: "you are in a state of perpetual hysteria. The operative word is "unhinged"
He's right why, why should you care that over 4000 Americans have died, America is deep is debt, and there seems to be no good way out. I mean who cares? we have our football, moms, apple pie, and moon pies to keep us fat and happy.
And to think, according to Rico, it all could have been prevented by some felons in Florida!
Why.......,
I think I'm going to get into the bumper sticker business.
"If you're not unhinged, you aren't progressive".
Mike,
You forgot to say if my point about felons voting is untrue or not. The typical "progessive" response is to scoff at the point without refuting it. It' kind of like a non-denial denial.
The national debt is not a bigger percentage of the gross national product than 20 years ago or 40 years ago. Don't lose sleep over it. It's always too big. I don't see the Democrats trying to spend less. Wait 'til we get Hillary health care. Then you will see some big dept.
If Bush had had the balls to do what he should have to defeat the insurgency you would not be less unhappy about Iraq than you are now, even with less Americans dead and maimed.
You touched upon my achilles heel, Mike.
Caring too much !
I kinda like it that way though.
After reading these soulless crustaceans for all this time, makes me even more motivated.
Posted by: Why don't you think at August 27, 2007 12:51 AM
Right. YOU and John Wayne Gacy.
Fun little Ricoisms:
1) - "You forgot to say if my point about felons voting is untrue or not.": Actually, I thought I addressed it pretty well at 12:00 AM.
2) - "It's kind of like a non denial denial": Why would I confirm or deny something that is unknowable, and irrelevant?
3) - "The national debt is not a bigger percentage of the gross national product than 20 years ago or 40 years ago. Don't lose sleep over it. It's always too big": You're right, damn...20 years ago I could barely pay my bills, and 40 years ago I was sweating being sent to Vietnam. Why sweat the small stuff. Be happy, huh Rico?
4) - "I don't see the democrats trying to spend less": Seems to me the last Democrat in the oval office had a balanced budget, and the republicans just couldn't stand that.
5) - "Wait 'til we get Hillary Health care. Then you will see some big debt." Not like today, with that miniscule $29,667 per every man, woman, and child that we have today.
6) - "If Bush had the balls to do what he should have to defeat the insurgency you would not be less unhappy about Iraq than you are today, even with less Americans dead and maimed.": Now Rico, why in the world do you think I would be unhappy if we had just nuked Baghdad, Fallujah, and all them other troublesome places and just claimed all those oil fields for ourselves?
I used the term "soulless crustaceans" and out pops Cecilia.
Her antennae is larger and more sensitive than I suspected.

We soulless crustaceans know a ravenous hammer-head like you when we see one.
Damn straight, bitch. You are just a small snack to this hammerhead.
but I have the suspicion that I would need to spit out such a putrid form of life.

Sure. You're all teeth and a small brain, it's all lunch to you.
