Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

Countdown with Keith Olbermann - August 29, 2007

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • KATRINA: TWO YEARS LATER: Jonathan Alter, Newsweek senior editor; Harry Shearer, actor, huffingtonpost.com contributor and New Orleans resident
    • 2008 ELECTION: Ana Marie Cox, Time.com Washington editor
    • LARRY CRAIG: An exciting, dramatic presentation of the original police report!

Krazy Keith roared the opening spiel...but due to a DVR glitch we were spared hearing tonight's carnival barker patter. We'll count ourselves lucky and soldier on with the rest of The Hour of Spin. Along with our recap, we'll have another sterling example of Olbypocrisy and another installment of those non-barking dogs. Plus see how Countdown now fancies itself the arbiter of which religions are true Christian religions! Only on OlbyPlanet. It's hump day at Olbermann Watch.

    Bathtub Boy

#5: Katrina and "Mister" Bush. The White House "claims" money was spent, but a liberal Democrat study disagrees. Must be because it's a "Democratic" state. Of course no responsibility on the Democrat governor or the Democrat mayor of New Orleans! Krazy Keith asks lefty Alter, ungrammatically: "Who does he think he's fooling?" Lefty says Bush's administration is over, it's just photo-ops. Oh, and Gov Barbour (R) of MS used to be a lobbyist. Ooooooh! Lefty and Olby agree, it's "Mister" Bush "punishing" Democrats. Great thanks.

Time to swerve further left--bring on the Huffington Post! Shearer wants "independent peer review" for the Army Corps of Engineers. KO wanted to know if any Dems are to blame for "Katrina apathy", and shockingly, Harry said they haven't stepped up to the plate either. Then, to get back in Oralmann's good graces, he did a brief, absurdly bad W impression. "An honor", gushed the discredited sports guy.

#4: The "escalation" [Ding!] in Iraq. Bush wants to keep the escalation [Ding!] going despite a "lack of progress". What leftist can Krazy Keith dig up to spin this story? How about E.J. Dionne? "Huge amounts of money", bellows Olbermoronn (an argument that just by coincidence happens to parrot talking points send out this very morning by moveon.org). Don't blame the Dems, sez E.J., since "they don't really control Congress". He was not Great Thanksed, but he was Great Pleasured.

#3: More on McGreevey, used as an excuse to...attack Mitt Romney! That's why AMC was there. She wrote an anti-Romney column so--presto!--she gets invited onto The Hour of Spin. Olby made the incomprehensible allegation that Romney was trying to "fake conservatism" (don't try to make sense of it, it's OlbyLogic). Then he added it was "blatant dishonesty" for Mitt to take Larry Craig references off his website. For her part, AMC rattled off her words like an auctioneer on speed, all the better to sneak in stink-bombs like "Mitt Romney is not himself Christian". So now Countdown is in the business of deciding which religions are true Christian religions? This sort of intolerance sounds an awful lot like "worst person" material. Oh wait, if it's said on OlbyPlanet, then it's above criticism. Sorry.

#2: Leona Helmsley and her 12 million dollar dog. Plus Dancing with the Stars. #1 was the Larry Craig "dramatization". Herr Olbermann is certainly enjoying this Craig story. The Olbypologists will insist that he's not politically biased, and would cover a Democrat in a similar situation in just the same way. Would he? Yesterday, Edward R Olbermann analyzed Craig's situation by bringing in a Craig opponent: Rachel Maddow. Now set the wayback machine for back when rest-stop roamer Jim McGreevey (D) was embroiled in his own closeted scandal. When that story broke, Olbermann analyzed McGreevey's situation by bringing in a McGreevey opponent? No, he brought in a McGreevey supporter: Arianna Huffington. Yesterday Oralmann dismissed Craig's announcement (a "strange" choice of words) and his honesty ("implausible"). Back then, McGreevey's statement was "extraordinary", "singular", and "believable". Today Bathtub Boy's follow-up coverage was a snarky dramatization of the police report. But when it was a Democrat, his follow-up coverage was to bring on a guest who gushed sympathy for McGreevey. Olbypocrisy? In spades.

In the Media Matters Minute, the Federal Mine Safety Admin (Blue Blog Source: Huffington Post), Fidel (for endorsing Hillary--how dare he reveal her ideology in that way?), and the "winner", Glenn Beck (Blue Blog Source: Think Progress). Aw, nothing from Media Matters? Brock will be so disappointed.

    OLBY

Dogs that did not bark: You know how it works on OlbyPlanet. Let a Republican be charged with something--anything--and the propaganda machine swings into action. Someone on the Giuliani campaign is charged with cocaine? It makes the Hour of Spin News. Twice! A GOP indictment for a "phone-jamming scheme"? Stop the presses! Bring in Slippery Shuster! Scandal among Republicans is a "cottage industry"! Someone on the McCain campaign gets arrested? Olby doesn't miss a beat, and it even came up again last night.

But what happens when it's someone on the other side of the aisle? Someone who happens to work for Bathtub Boy's Giupetto: Hillary Clinton? Someone who was not merely arrested, not merely indicted, but actually found guilty of grand larceny? And then fled the jurisdiction? A felon at large, working as a fundraiser for a Presidential candidate? There was no mention of this story tonight on OlbyPlanet. It was just too dark for Fat Ass to see the story with his head fully inserted into Hillary's usual orafice. Besides, the discredited baseball card collector will do whatever it takes to protect his candidate. If that means spiking a story he would have trumpeted for days against a Republican, then so be it. That's why it's called The Hour of Spin.

    MisterMeter

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olbermann's name has soared on amazon.com, all the way up to: #14,827, while "Culture Warrior" is #3,255. (It's that 2-for-$25 sale!) The OlbyTome remains so low at Barnes & Noble that their ranking meter can't even find it; O'Reilly's book is #1,831 there, and is one of the top five books of 2006 per Publishers Weekly. All we know about Monday's ratings is that Herr Olbermahn lost badly to The O'Malkin Factor not only in total viewers but also in the coveted, pivotal, much-beloved, critical, all-important "key demo". Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 3 [GUARDED]

Hey look at the bright side-at least HRC will know if she develops a cancerous Polyp what with Herr Olbermann's head inserted up her (and BC's) ass.

WOTW: Castro...for wanting my socialist candidates to win....just like Keithy. Awesome.

O'reilly could put a test pattern on for an hour and still beat Olbermann. Poor guy, his obsession just isn't helping him.

WOTW: Castro...for wanting my socialist candidates to win....just like Keithy. Awesome.

Johnny, how do we know that Olby lost on Monday? Is it known that Sunday's exposure on NBC didn't raise his number last night?

Uncle Fidel riding the PC train
He put Hillary first, must have been a strain
    The commie is a Democrat?
The other way around, that's really where it's at
But Castro's endorsement still gives HRC a pain

His numbers Monday were right around the 700,000 he's been getting lately, maybe a tiny bump, but not enough to make much of a dent. Even with O'reilly on vacation.

Watch what happens the rest of the week with his ratings but remember Bill-O is on vacation and CNN is throwing up crap every night, it's like they've just stopped trying.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Countdown-lite didn't pull in many new moonbats. But I thought it would do a LITTLE better than what J$ said.

Mitt Romney is not himself Christian

He is not Christian. Mitt Romney is Mormon. How was this disingenuous? She was stating fact, not fiction, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

What KO and the MSM refuse to talk about invoving Katrina...

The Dem. Senator who diverted funds for the levees..

The Dem, Gov who wouldn't issue a evacuation order or make proper requests to the Federal Government for help...

The Dem. Mayor of N.O. who stuck his people in the Superdome even though he had a fleet of school buses that could have taken them out of harms way...

The decades of corrupt and incompetent leaders of the state and the city(Dems) who mismanage and ignored the problems.

So yea lets keep hearing about Craig in the bathroom or anything that makes Republicans look bad but don't dare bring up any stories that could shed a bad light on Dems...such as KO's candidate Hillary whose been caught again dealing with fishy donations.

Atleast with Craig no one drown in a mysterious car wreak off a bridge or disappeared after rumors of having an affair with a Dem congressman or was sexual harassed by a Dem President the same day their husband died.....There that should set the KO loons here off... :) :)

Castro gets worst person for supporting Hillary and ObamaNation? I guess hurting Hillary's campaign is worse than imprisoning and executing dissenters on Olby planet. Poor old Castro was just trying to support people like himself. I could stop laughing when I read that his favorite US president was Jimmy Carter. Maybe Hillary can teach cash strapped Castro how to raise money since she can raise $250,000 from people who make $49,000 a year.

    > He is not Christian. Mitt Romney is Mormon.

Countdown may now think it's the judge of who is a Christian and who isn't, but we aren't really living on OlbyPlanet. You see, here on earth, Mormons disagree with Olbermann and his puppet:

    jefflindsay.com/LDSFAQ/FQ_Christian.shtml

The LDS Church seems to have a different opinion from Olby and AMC:

    www.mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/basic-beliefs/jesus-christ-our-savior/jesus-christ

Oh, but that doesn't matter to Keith. If Countdown wants to declare Mitt Romney is not a Christian, it will do so. An example of "tolerance" on OlbyPlanet. And arrogance.

An example of "tolerance" on OlbyPlanet. And arrogance.

    Don't forget ignorance......

Larry Craig can now teach a college ethics class in New Jersy like Jim McGreevey. The truth is demcrats don't have to live up to any ethical standers because everyone knows they have no ethical standards. It also helps that they have the mainstream media in their pockets.

But here in the safe confines of the OW, the RW'ers think this scandal is not going to touch them.

    Too damn funny !

Posted by: Why don't you think at August 30, 2007 1:54 AM

    Did McGreevy "touch" you?

Lets take a look a democrats "family values".

In the 2001 San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Parade Pelosi marched along with long time CommunitstPartyUSA member and gay rights pioneer Harry Hay. A gay activist group calling itself the Human Rights Campaign, eulogized Hay as "the first to realize that the dream of equality for our community could be attained through visibility and activism". An outspoken advocate of the North American Man-Boy Love Association NAMBLA, Hay regularly addressed NAMBLA conferences. NAMBLA carries published material by Hay on its website dating back to 1984. The ACLU defended NAMBLA against a $200 million lawsuit by parents of a 10 year old murder victim who claimed their sons’ killer was motivated by published material on NAMBLA’s website. [20][21] Perlosi has taken $10,000 in campaign contributions from the Human Rights Campaign.

Factor, the spolbyloons will cry "old news" or "that was 2 decades ago" or just flat deny nambla exhists and deny aclu defends them. One of the spolbyloons might even paste that phony link to "aclu defends christians" like he has every time I mention the aclu defending terrorists. Cracks me up.

"(The Larry Craig incident )" is enough to make a self-respecting Republican want to tear his hair out in frustration...."

The key words here are "self respecting".

None are ever found at this site.

Posted by: at August 30, 2007 2:16 AM

And here I thought the reason I wasn't tearing my hair out over Sen. Craig was that I was glad to see the idiot caught...

The Factor thinks that America is talking about the subject matter of his posts.
    He would.
He's always the last to know.
Posted by: at August 30, 2007 2:14 AM

Yes, all of America is talking about what the left wing zombies are talking about. That is why the Democrat congress has a 19% approval rating.

Lets check the numbers from Zogby

Asked which of the 2008 presidential candidates would best handle the war in Iraq, Rudy Giuliani topped the list with 14% support, followed by Fred Thompson (11%), Hillary Clinton (10%), Barack Obama (9%), John McCain and Joe Biden (7%), John Edwards (5%), and Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Bill Richardson and Dennis Kucinich at 4%. But overall, more Americans said they were unsure (15%) than supported any single candidate to best handle the war.

In this latest online poll, 27% give President Bush a positive rating on his handling of the war in Iraq, up slightly from 24% who gave the president favorable marks in July. While the President’s approval for his handling of the war showed slight gains, Congress remains stuck at just a 3% positive rating for its handling of the war, unchanged from polling last month. Congress faces overwhelming dissatisfaction among Democrats - 95% give Congress negative ratings for handling the war, compared to 94% who felt that way in July.

    More ethics from the Democrats

Soros-linked group hit with huge fine

    By: Kenneth P. Vogel
    Aug 29, 2007 02:19 PM EST

The Federal Election Commission has fined one of the last cycle’s biggest liberal political action committees $775,000 for using unregulated soft money to boost John Kerry and other Democratic candidates during the 2004 elections.

America Coming Together (ACT) raised $137 million for its get-out-the-vote effort in 2004, but the FEC found most of that cash came through contributions that violated federal limits.

The group’s big donors included George Soros, Progressive Corp. chairman Peter Lewis and the Service Employees International Union.

The settlement, which the FEC approved unanimously, is the third largest enforcement penalty in the commission’s 33-year history.

Here's an example of more deceit the right-wing media is trying to deliver: They've been talking about how the surge has brought violence down in Iraq. However,

"...BAGHDAD - This year’s U.S. troop buildup has succeeded in bringing violence in Baghdad down from peak levels, but the death toll from sectarian attacks around the country is running nearly double the pace from a year ago.

Some of the recent bloodshed appears the result of militant fighters drifting into parts of northern Iraq, where they have fled after U.S.-led offensives. Baghdad, however, still accounts for slightly more than half of all war-related killings — the same percentage as a year ago, according to figures compiled by The Associated Press..."

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20440397/

The neocons are squeeling that violence is going down; but, IT ALWAYS GOES DOWN IN THE SUMMERTIME IN IRAQ. But, looking at last year, it has doubled...WITH THE SURGE IN PLACE...

Wait for the lie to come to a Fox station near you!

Go home blindrat- your shit is tired

    anon,

Refute it or go to the kiddie pool, child...

Yankees/Red Sox....so glad I missed the deplorable one tonight... Thanks for the great update...

    Nothing ever changes on Olbyplanet.
He can pee on your leg and tell his audience it's raining.

So monday and tuesday rating are posted and he did do better! but still came in second to fox news. So the networks did bump his exposure... so he'll be back on. Its called cross promotion.

BUT where are the hacks proclaiming he beat OReilley on Sunday? By the normal olbyloon logic, he lost 80% of his audience overnight from Sunday to Monday. LOL.

"The Maliki government is non-functional," Levin, D-Mich., said in a conference call with reporters.

Levin, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Sen. John Warner of Virginia, a top Republican on the panel, just returned from a fact-finding mission to the country. The two reported that they are encouraged by the effects of the recent U.S. military surge there, but their enthusiasm is tempered by concerns about Iraq's political climate.

"We have seen indications that the surge of additional brigades to Baghdad and its immediate vicinity and the revitalized counter-insurgency strategy being employed have produced tangible results in making several areas of the capital more secure. We are also encouraged by continuing positive results — in al-Anbar Province, from the recent decisions of some of the Sunni tribes to turn against Al Qaeda and cooperate with coalition force efforts to kill or capture its adherents," the two said in a statement issued after leaving the country.

    rk,

How odd! Two people who are in favor of withdrawing troops saying that...hmmm--oh wait, here's the rest of the quote:

"We remain concerned, however, that in the absence of overall national political reconciliation, we may be inadvertently helping to create another militia which will have to be dealt with in the future,"

    Really?

    DAILYTECH

SURVEY: LESS THAN HALF OF ALL PUBLISHED SCIENTISTS ENDORSE GLOBAL WARMING THEORY; COMPREHENSIVE SURVEY OF PUBLISHED CLIMATE RESEARCH REVEALS CHANGING VIEWPOINTS

    Michael Asher
    August 29, 2007 11:07 AM
In 2004, history professor Naomi Oreskes performed a survey of research papers on climate change. Examining peer-reviewed papers published on the ISI Web of Science database from 1993 to 2003, she found a majority supported the "consensus view," defined as humans were having at least some effect on global climate change. Oreskes' work has been repeatedly cited, but as some of its data is now nearly 15 years old, its conclusions are becoming somewhat dated.

Medical researcher Dr. Klaus-Martin Schulte recently updated this research. Using the same database and search terms as Oreskes, he examined all papers published from 2004 to February 2007. The results have been submitted to the journal Energy and Environment, of which DailyTech has obtained a pre-publication copy. The figures are surprising.

Of 528 total papers on climate change, only 38 (7%) gave an explicit endorsement of the consensus. If one considers "implicit" endorsement (accepting the consensus without explicit statement), the figure rises to 45%. However, while only 32 papers (6%) reject the consensus outright, the largest category (48%) are neutral papers, refusing to either accept or reject the hypothesis. This is no "consensus."

The figures are even more shocking when one remembers the watered-down definition of consensus here. Not only does it not require supporting that man is the "primary" cause of warming, but it doesn't require any belief or support for "catastrophic" global warming. In fact of all papers published in this period (2004 to February 2007), only a single one makes any reference to climate change leading to catastrophic results.

These changing viewpoints represent the advances in climate science over the past decade. While today we are even more certain the earth is warming, we are less certain about the root causes. More importantly, research has shown us that -- whatever the cause may be -- the amount of warming is unlikely to cause any great calamity for mankind or the planet itself.

Schulte's survey contradicts the United Nation IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report (2007), which gave a figure of "90% likely" man was having an impact on world temperatures. But does the IPCC represent a consensus view of world scientists? Despite media claims of "thousands of scientists" involved in the report, the actual text is written by a much smaller number of "lead authors." The introductory "Summary for Policymakers" -- the only portion usually quoted in the media -- is written not by scientists at all, but by politicians, and approved, word-by-word, by political representatives from member nations. By IPCC policy, the individual report chapters -- the only text actually written by scientists -- are edited to "ensure compliance" with the summary, which is typically published months before the actual report itself.

By contrast, the ISI Web of Science database covers 8,700 journals and publications, including every leading scientific journal in the world.

More global warming consensus for the zombie.
    Keep marching flat earth zombie.

blindbat, does one sentence make your left wing hit piece correct or change anything? No, it doesn't. The surge is working, end of debate.

    rk,

Actually, the quote came from Fox News. And, you can't call something working, when it is failing, son. Even if you want it to work very much...

Or, perhaps you can tell us how double the deaths from last year indicates progress, son?

Anyone who has a brain knows that "the surge" was contrived as a stop gap method to keep the war going. We knew all along that the 'report' was going to be 'mixed results'....just enough to keep the war going longer.

One lie at a time! ..... They'll think of something else to keep it going at the next crossroad.

    Mike,

My problem is that Hillary seems to be going right along with it...

If anyone that has a brain knows that "the surge"was contrived then why does the congress continue to fund it.Either none of them have any brains or they are ALL cowards because they don't want the responsibility of what happens when we leave. They just want their cake and eat it too.If the surge works they will say well we funded it and if it doesn't they will say well we wanted to get out so it's all Bush's fault.Look you dems grow some balls or shut up.

I know, Blindrat. 'Our' problem seems to be that she is leading in the polls, even though she's the biggest waffler of all regarding the war on the Democratic side.

One day, we'll all be wondering 'what was America thinking' through all of this!

"If anyone that has a brain knows that "the surge" was contrived then why does the congress continue to fund it."

You got me bro?.....I guess that's one reason their jog approval rating is so low.

    Mike,

We've got over a year to go. Gore/Obama in 2008!...

Boy that sounds like what Bush is saying. That's funny!

blindbat, I know you get discombobulated fairly easy. I was not referring to the Fox News piece I posted, I was referring to your msnbc hit piece.

"Boy, that sounds like what Bush is saying. That's funny!"

I might think it was 'funny' myself if young Americans were not being maimed and killed daily for no good reason other than Bush's legendary obstinance.

Look you didn't answer my question. This is an Olbermann question.Either the Congress has brains and knows the surge is contrived but fund the war anyway or they don't want to take any responsibility of what happens when we pull out but they do have brains.Which one is it please?

With Mrs. Clinton widening her lead over every GOP candidate ( Obama is also leading over each and every one of them) the right wing morons are getting awful edgy.

How did Al Gore and John Kerry's leads turn out?
I'll sleep well tonight. How about you?

The Congress has stated why they are still funding the war.

    Not a chance!
    So do it again...
throw out another lame candidate with a sea of optimism and see how it shake out, Gore, Kerry, Clinton....
I can't wait, and know ALOT of Democrats that hope its not her. She will lose.

    rk,

That was an AP story, dummy...

    Factor,

Gore won...that's how it turned out, son...

Even in Florida, if all the votes were counted...

    wake up blindrat---
    you look more idiotic everyday
How's President Gore doing in your world?
    Wooooweee

I don't want to look stupid but if they have their reasons for funding the war then why don't they impeach the President and Vice-President because they have all the proof of them both lying and all of the other stuff. That way President Pelosi can get us out of this war and spare more soldier's lives because we all know how much the Democrats care about the troops. Why hope you will take over in 18 months? Why not act NOW? I know why because they have NO BALLS and DO NOT WANT TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE LEAVE.They want their cake and eat it too.THEY ARE COWARDS!!!

plus, you missed your idiot memo after 2004

Olby claimed Bush stole Ohio too,

    liberals- always the victims.
    wooooweeee

    Anon,

They recounted the votes, all of them, statewide, son. Gore won...

Claiming that Bush won because he is president, ignores the fact that the statewide recount was stopped by the US Supreme Court.

Try not being so stupid, child. Someone will hit you in the head while you are being stupid and you be stuck that way...

They want their cake and eat it too.THEY ARE COWARDS!!!

Whereas the republicans are now not even being invited to the dinner table by the American public.

Such outrage for Democrats, yet none for your party and president over how they have mangled everything in their path the past 7 years.

Glad you're such a straight shooter.
    Ha !

Let's say everything you say is true why
didn't you answer any of my questions and WHY don't the Democrats do something about it?Maybe they still remember the 2 million that were slaughtered in Cambodia after Viet-nam.May-be.

    anon,

Since I'm leaving soon, I'll just show you my proof so that you can whine incongruous statements about it and suck your thumb, child:

"...In addition to undervotes, thousands of ballots in the Florida presidential election were invalidated because they had too many marks. This happened, for example, when a voter correctly marked a candidate and also wrote in that candidate's name. The consortium looked at what might have happened if a statewide recount had included these overvotes as well and found that Gore would have had a margin of fewer than 200 votes..."

    http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/florida.ballots/stories/main.html

Every other "scenario" leaves out votes except for that one, son. Spin away, child!

    Factor,

Gore won...that's how it turned out, son...

Even in Florida, if all the votes were counted...

Posted by: blindrat at August 30, 2007 2:36 PM

Independent news agencies (I.E. liberal) later did their own recounts, trying to simulate how the Florida court might have done it. They found that under most scenarios, the recounts would have favored Bush, but that the court could have manipulated the process to declare Gore the winner. To bad they weren't able to.
Sorry, Gore lost, get over it.

    Factor,

Unfortunately, son, the only thing that counts is all the votes...

    Sorry...

"Maybe they still remember the 2 million that were slaughtered in Cambodia after Viet-nam. May-be."

I see that you're another one who has swallowed hook, line, and sinker, the right wing MYTH that our leaving Vietnam enabled the murderous Khmer Rouge, who were the of enemy Ho Chi Minh, to take over Cambodia.

Sure, sure, ..... keep on swallowing those right wing myths. After all, they brought us Iraq.

    Factor,

Unfortunately, son, the only thing that counts is all the votes...

    Sorry...

    Associated Press:
During the manual count of votes in Palm Beach County, Fla., officials switched tests mid-count to decide the validity of the ballots.
In the morning, the canvassing board said that they would count a vote if any of the corners of the bits of paper punched out of the cards called "chad" were punched.

The board then decided that they would instead use the "sunlight test" if they could see sun come though an indentation, it would count.

About a quarter of the way through the counting, however, a board member determined that the light test was flawed and told the other members to go back to the first test.

The change in procedures will undoubtedly slow down the hand count as board members had to go back and recount all of the votes previously counted using the new rules.
    WSJ

This is the kind of recount BlindDemocrat wanted run by

The two other members of the canvassing board are Carol Roberts, a county commissioner, and Theresa LePore, the county elections supervisor. Ms. Roberts is a highly partisan Democrat who met with President Clinton in Palm Beach last year while she was contemplating a run for Congress. Ms. LePore, an elected Democrat, is the designer of the infamous "butterfly ballot" that both Democrats and impartial observers say caused confusion on Election Day.

    Two democrats. HA!!! Keep dreaming.
Again, Gore lost, get over it.

Gore is the president, son. The earth is flat, child. The moon landing was faked, little one. 911 was in inside job, son. The NAU is real, child. The US Military caused the 2004 tsunami, son. The Nazis had secret bases on the moon, child. And finally, KFC makes black men impotent, son. I said so, so it must be true. All of these. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go reinforce my lovely aluminum headwear.

I can't believe i forgot the granddaddy of them all...The Holocaust didn't happen.

So in other words none of you chickensh#t liberals want to answer my questions (typical).Well I'll try.If I truly thought that this war was wrong and I was in Congress and as you say ALL of the American people are against the war I would do anything to get us out!If the Democrats don't I can only assume they are afraid to take any responsibility for what happens when we leave.Look if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.THEY ARE CHICKENSH#T COWARDS AND SO ARE YOU IF YOU CAN'T SEE THAT.Just keep bitching that is what you are good at.

So since I won, can I move into the White House? And how do I get George Bush to get out of my home?

Yodell's solution: Stay in Iraq forever until our American military death counts reaches Vietnam War levels.

You , my son, are an idiot.

Posted by: at August 30, 2007 4:08 PM

That's not my solution.I'll tell you what.Give me your solution oh wise one or just keep bitching.

Yodell, I see you avoided my correction about the Cambodia myth I posted even as you stated nobody answered your 'question'.

    First off...no need to shout!

Second, as for 'taking responsibilty for what happens when we leave', since no one knows exactly what will happen if we leave, how can anyone "take responsibility for the unknown?

How about this: Are you taking responsibilty for what happens if we stay?

    You asked a ridiculous question.

You beat me to it, Factor.

Why does the media not report opposition to the Global Warming myth?
    Lets hear from them.

“Clearly the networks have made that decision now, where you’d have to call it [global warming stories] advocacy.”
    — NBC News Capitol Hill correspondent Andrea Mitchell at a September 16, 1989 global warming conference at the Smithsonian Institution as quoted by David Brooks in an October 5, 1989 Wall Street Journal column.

I can't believe people don't scream in panic about global warming like I do. Can't they see that Florida is almost completely submerged. I just can't understand why I had so many appearances disrupted by snow storms and ridiculous cold this past spring. And, c'mon, this hurricane season was terrible. Just as predicted by global scientologists since the water tempera...Huh? What? Oh. Never mind.

Algore, you seem particularly articulate and impassioned today.

    You go girl! :)

Girl? You must have me confused with John Edwards.

Sorry, Algore, I meant "you go guy" as in Elizabeth Edwards. :)

"The bulk of the very best scientists in our country and the world have stated very clearly how GW is currently affecting our planet and what the projections are."

Read the headline and then the entire article:

SURVEY: LESS THAN HALF OF ALL PUBLISHED SCIENTISTS ENDORSE GLOBAL WARMING THEORY; COMPREHENSIVE SURVEY OF PUBLISHED CLIMATE RESEARCH REVEALS CHANGING VIEWPOINTS

This study reported on peer reviewed research re AGW from 2003 on. Using the most generous criteria for those scientists who support AGW the preponderance of research is on the skeptic's side.

I have read a great deal on this subject including working my way through many scientific papers and the only consensus is a political one, not a scientific one.

It should not be necessary to state the obvious but consensus has no legitimate place in science. Theories that hold for years, decades or millenia are sometimes destroyed with one experiment.

AGW, Anthropological Global Warming, is under increasing attacks from scientists around the world. A number of scientists believe we are actually on the cusp of another Ice Age.

There is a lot of information out there that does not support your belief.
