Hey, I am NO fan of MSNBC or Scheister, but that was a great question imo since EVERY Congressman should know which of their constituents have died as a result of their political actions. 'Course, Schuster would NEVER ask that of Speaker Pelosi, Rep Murtha, etc (oh I how I'd LOVE to see Murtha answer that one-followed immediately by, "What was the last earmark you got for your district?"...bet he'd know that one).
I saw it live and it was an obvious ambush... Sheister the asshole was quite smug when she didn't know the name. I am gonna run for the senate as a (R) and if shuster ever did that to me I'd plant a right cross on his fat head and straighten his slack jaw right out.
The best part was... MSNBC kept running the clip as though it was a shining moment for their network. Just another feather in their losing netowork's cap. Shameful.
Benson: "I'm gonna run for the senate as a (R) and if shuster ever did that to me I'd plant a right cross on his fat head and straighten his slack jaw right out."
Benson, didn't YOU just accuse ME of having some kind of a "derangement"?
Sheister nor Olbyoon would have asked any Democrat that question. And neither Dems or Repubs know the answer. It was a dirty trick, but that is all MSNBC knows. Ambushed Ann Coulter, ambushed Rep. Marsha Blackburn.
No Mike- blamed the wrong opponent... I try not to name call. I see you called deranged all the time and don't "have your back" though.
I DO hate shuster... maybe more than KO, because he gets overly excited with his smuggness. He covered the Libby trial and reported total untruths on how the testimony went. It was well documented that the witness would say one thing AND shuster would sit on the court steps and report entirely different testimony. He's a partisan hack, who missreports to project his already developed story lines. It was Shuster who guaranteed more than a perjury conviction.
"Benson, didn't YOU just accuse ME of having some kind of a "derangement"?"
END QUOTE
If he did he was only stating the obvious.
Benson, I wouldn't hit Schesiter with a closed fist. He's a bitch so a backhand would suffice to having him in the fetal position. But, it usually only takes standing up to a liberal to having them whine and flopping about on the floor like Curly Howard.
"Maybe some of you should be starting an "O'Reilly Muzzle" website instead of worrying about Olbermann and Shuster.'

Do you know how stupid that remark is with your very presence here and the need to post a remark?
Maybe you should go to Moveon.org, Huffingtonpost or Daily Kos where the rest of the fags hang out. I'm sure they are beating the shit out of Ahmedinejad for killing fags. LEt's face it, the attacks on GW are purely partisan and personal. You fucking liberals look more and more like idiots every day. I can't believe it's a shock to anyone that Ahmindinejad kills fags.
Back to idiot Shuster...
It has come out that the fallen soldier that he exploited in an effort to embarrass the CongressWoman was NOT (I repeat NOT) from her district. What a buffoon!
If the punk had any hootspah (sp?) he would go on air and apologize for this error. I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet on MSNBC, especially after they ran AND reran the piece all day.
(He'd probably go Dan Rather style and say that HE may have been wrong but SHE still didn't know the name of the last fallen soldier from her district). The typical liberal retraction!
You Republicans and conservatives sure do whine a lot. Much more the party Fred Thompson than Ronald Reagan these days.

And you were all about The Gipper back in the day, I'm sure....
Great clip, Johnny. When listening to Shuster, remember that Chris Wallace was excoriated by Olbermann and called "monkey man" for asking Pres. Clinton questions about how he handled Bin Laden and terrorism during his presidency...
I agree- yet Cecelia- Clinton should expect a question about Bin Laden in these days of terrorism... a true ambush is the hack question shuster asked. Out of left field with an obvious agenda.
DAVID SHUSTER: On Monday evening while guest-hosting the 6 p.m. evening hour, I conducted an interview with Tennessee Republican Marsha Blackburn. The congresswoman spoke at length about a newspaper ad that criticized General Petraeus. In what I believed was an effort to examine Representative Blackburn's priorities, I then asked her to name the last soldier from her congressional district killed in Iraq.
She responded "the name of the last soldier killed in Iraq from my district, I do not know." After that response, I identified who I believed to be that fallen soldier, a Tennessean killed in Iraq last month. But according to Pentagon documents, that young man came from a town inside a neighboring congressional district, not from Representative Blackburn's, and for that, I apologize for that mistake.
A Media Blog reader who discovered this information on Newsbusters and e-mailed Shuster received this response and forwarded it to us:
the story was about blackburn's hypocrisy... it wouldn't matter whether the soldier's name was David shuster or Crazy Water. she didn't know the name, period.

This is priceless!
Shuster is trying to make the point that Rep. Blackburn doesn't care about the individual soldiers who have been killed in Iraq, just about the PR hay she can make off the "Gen. Betray Us" fracas.
Shuster then makes it abundantly clear that he doesn't care either by saying that "it wouldn't matter whether the soldier's name was David shuster or Crazy Water".
Yeah, Shuster, who cares what the guy's real name was the point is..... a dead soldier is just a PR fodder for a gotcha story for you, Mr Pot!

MSNBC
Shuster: A Dose of His Own Medicine [Stephen Spruiell]
The intolerably smug David Shuster, hero of the liberal blogosphere, devised a little pop-quiz for Rep. Marsha Blackburn when she was on MSNBC a few days ago:
SHUSTER: Let's talk about the public trust. You represent of course a district in western Tennessee. What was the name of the last soldier from your district who was killed in Iraq?
BLACKBURN: The name of the last soldier killed in Iraq from my district? I do not know.
SHUSTER: OK, his name was Jeremy Bohannon. He was killed August the ninth, 2007. How come you didn't know the name?
The whole spectacle made for disgusting television. Shuster dragged this poor kid's body out on stage and shoved it in Blackburn's face, then sat back with a look on his face like he was enjoying a post-coital cigarette.
Turns out it wasn't even the right body:
As it turns out, Pvt. Jeremy Bohannon — the soldier whose name Shuster attacked Blackburn for not knowing — had not, contrary to the MSNBC reporter's claim, lived in her district.
A Media Blog reader who discovered this information on Newsbusters and e-mailed Shuster received this response and forwarded it to us:

Who cares what the dead kid's name is, right? The story is about Blackburn's hypocrisy. She came on the show to denounce MoveOn.org's "Betray Us" ad, but she didn't know the name of the last soldier killed from her district! And that's hypocritical, because...
Why? Actually, that's not hypocritical at all. Hypocrisy is saying something when in reality you believe something different. Not knowing the name of the last soldier killed from your district is, at worst, laziness, and, at best, a deer-in-the-headlights moment on national television.
Hypocrisy is pretending to care about the death of an American soldier, when really he's just a prop in your gimmicky audition for your own show on MSNBC.
^ please anon, I agree these two are as nutty as can be, but Shuster could care less about dead soldiers, it was all about "gettin' a repub" ---sickening political hack.
which is my basic point. Why bother to attack or defend? Shuster is a nothing. To borrow from R+H, "nothing comes from nothing, nothing ever will." Let it rest. Serious matters confront us and divide us as they must. Why look for the insignificant to divide us further.
Posted by: at September 27, 2007 6:45 PM
Now some of us may be asking why this idiot goes to a blog that talks about those things he deems trivial, when he could be discussing what he find important somewhere else....
However most of us know by now that THIS is the eternal Olbermann Watch Conundrum....

Wow, Shuster & MS-NBC can really play hardball, hope they are proud of using a dead soldier to get their "ambush/gotcha" interview...way to go!

A sneakey little apologist, isn't she?
very strange comment indeed from someone who wants the war in Iraq to last as long as possible resulting in many more needless soldiers' deaths.
Don't even pretend you care about dead soldiers, Miss Pretentious !

For someone who names himself Why don't you think, you sure never do ...
I've never accused war supporters or war opponents of not caring for the troops.
That nasty little tactic belongs to you and David Shuster.
