Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    September 21, 2007
    It's Been A Long Summer

It's been a long, busy, summer. But fall and football have arrived and I'm going to try to stop by and aggravate the fine folks who populate olbermannwatch a bit more frequently. KO survived surgery and seems in fine, aggitated, form last night - blasting the President over his comments on the anti-Patraeus ad. I'm sure you've seen that Marvin Kitman thinks KO should replace Katie on The CBS Evening News. Even for me, that's a bit of a stretch. One this is pretty obvious, when Bill O'Reilly has a substitute host, his numbers take a bigger dive than Keith's do when he's gone.

In fact, that led to a couple of interesting nights recently, with Keith actually coming out on top. True, it followed a big Sunday night football presence, but it does show some promise. Along those lines, the fine folks over at tvbythenumbers have decided to start tracking the ratings race between KO and BO. They pull the raw numbers and package them up in a neat little chart that gives you all of the variations on those numbers you could want. They also keep on top of all kinds of other ratings information. CLICK HERE to see the battle graphs. You'll also notice some of their other tracking data on the page. Don't say I never gave ya' anything! And, as always, feel free to stop by my place, The Krile Files, and spend some time. There's a lot of political stuff there, but dig down, you'll find some fun, classic, TV links, too.

welcome back Doug, but lately this site seems a bit dead, like folks are still on vacation....do you know where Robert Cox is?

    Aren't we lucky...

More unique and riveting insight from Doug.

"One this is pretty obvious, when Bill O'Reilly has a substitute host, his numbers take a bigger dive than Keith's do when he's gone..."

I don't know about that Doug, seems this past week, Countdown took a much bigger dive than The Factor ever has when there is a sub. This was commented on at ICN.

Can you get any damn stupider than Olbermann's quoting of Chris Matthews' take on Gen Patraeus treatment at the hands of Moveon.org.

Here you have Matthews, who has spent the last three years, talking about how this war is being run by a bunch of civilian power-hungry wonks, in typical "damned if you do and damned if you don't fashion, criticizing Bush for "politicizing" the General by appointing him in the first place!

Why wasn't Matthews pulling up THAT "insight" when it came to real politicians ....like John Kerry, getting rough treatment at the hands of his fellow vets? I'm not even going to put Max clelland in the same category as Kerry, because I've seen the ad that supposedly links Clelland with terrorists and have found that it demands the most blinkered of interpretations to say it was suggesting THAT rather than that Clelland an't going to be tough enough.

Ah, but there's Keith with excuse in hand to go into full Al Pacino mode--( "I'm outta order?! You're outta order!!' )

How dare MR. Bush defend an appointed general and expect the Democrat members of congress to the same!

Maybe next time moveon.org can label as traitorous whoever is appointed to head the President's Council on Physical Fitness... or any other "politicized" ie appointed... person who might just say something the group doesn't think is correct...

I'm wondering how much the "Democrat Party" must be thanking moveon.org. It gave their presidential candidates an opportunity to show their support for the far left who drives the party, even if they can't do it in any way that is really meaningful...

Good enough for those guys. They're the crazy aunt in the attic. They know they're "out-there"... and are just SUPREMELY grateful for whatever crumbs the DNC pols and DNC subsidiaries like Olberman may give.

TVnewser has the numbers, Countdown AND O'Reilly blown away by CNN (although Keith got "blown" harder than O'Reilly):

    http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/ratings/the_scoreboard_thursday_sept_20_67553.asp#more

Sorry, my mistake, Bill only got "blown" in the demo, he still beat CNN in total viewers..

I won't vote for HRC for president, but I certainly think that she may turn out to be a fair president. She'll tone the rhetoric about health care down after she's nominated, etc., there's every indication that's she's a sensible lady.

However, if she is elected it's going to interesting to see Olbermann morph from a guy "Speak'n truth to Power"....to a guy who will spend the majority of time essentially justifying any thing from HRC or the DNC by saying that their critics are far worse.

Afterall, this is a guy who accused Bush of being nothing short of a tyrant for making a criticism towards media coverage, yet he vaccated his job because he found the coverage of Clinton/Lewinsky so immoral!

It will be a NEW Olbermann...with a Dem president, and New Olbermann will be far more apt to examine and critique the "Fifth Estate".

If that time comes, speaking truth to "the man" will change from blasting the WH, to taking on his own colleagues...

Cecelia, you appear to be talking to yourself...

...not that there is anything wrong with that...

MoveOn is this elections Dennis Kucinich. Antics that will take away just enough voters that the Republicans hold the white House again.

Kucinich always pulls just enough votes away. MoveOn's agenda will actually PUSH enough away with their repulsive stands. Yay, for their idiotic overstepping agenda.

Cecelia, you appear to be talking to yourself...

    You appear to be responding.

    No problem Cecelia-
Its nice to see this blog dead on Friday nights. It shows that these people really do have lives- mixing in a happy hour, or dinner and a movie every once in a while.

Actually why I think Olbermann's number's spike on Fridays... all the losers are home jacking up the ratings, while Oreilley fans are out socializing.

Peabody, I'd wager that subtlety is another another thing you don't do well.

You may be right, but, O'Reilly still stay's at #1. Olbermahn's numbers still hover in the "mediocre" range. Last is last, right?

Will Olby be in the crowd watching Ahmedinjad at Columbia? He hasn't objected to his Islamofascist pal's appearance.

Speaking of which, the following link was interesting.

I emailed Robert today, but haven't heard anything. And, Cecilia, if I get back into the routine, you might get some unique and riveting insight. I made this post after the tvnumbers folks contacted me about the graph, since they didn't hear from Robert. Just figured it was time to fire things up again, new TV season and all..

The Old Battleax doesn't realize when she is on others leave. It's a pattern. She starts moaning, people scour their tubs and mop their floors.

    You tell us...

Hey Broken Down Old Battleax I'm trying to improve this site, turn into something more than a place where people gripe about a TV host who isn't going to get fired because of anything written here (indeed, you numbskulls probably make him more popular) or a place where people like you line up to kiss Bush's ass. If you want to wallow in ordinary, nobody's stopping you but keep out of my way. The times, they are a changing.

That's the same line he uses at bars too...

I actually like Obama out of all of the democrats, Cecelia, and feel he could be a unifying force in the country. HRC will be as bad as Bush with regards to the 30-40% "out for blood" crowd and the continuing partisan divide. Obama, although at least as far to the left as HRC politically, is less harsh in his rhetoric and has the advantage of not being part of the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton dynasty.

Obama's lack of experience and foreign policy faux pas in the last 6 months were not reasurring, but I rely of the professionalism of the State Department and Pentagon to provide at least some stability to foreign policy matters even as the new president is learning.

HRC will exacerbate an already divided country. Even if the democrats' sweetest dreams come true and Congressional majorities increase for them in 2008, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars will continue to need tending to and not even HRC will pull the trigger on immediate withdrawal. There will be a lot of moaning and screaming as those dreaming of a new direction see that world affairs dictate a different policy while those against Clinton....ALWAYS at least 30%, continue their partisan behavior.

Keith Olbermann is part of the thoughtless, out for blood anti-Bush crowd and no different than the same anti-Clinton whacks. You are right to see him as not continuing his fraudulant "truth to power" ploy but may even be part of a Clinton administration....That would be fun to see.

Thank you for finally admitting that your president has divided the country like no president in our lifetime."

    ###
Did I actually post this....reading comprehension is not your strong suit, Anon.

Hey anon, the reality of a rabid hate-filled radical fringe has always been a part of my analysis of the political landscape, and is why I predicted, correctly, that the democats would not pull the troops out.
Please try to understand m points before you attempt to comment.

Poor anon still holds to the tired cliches of conservatives and liberals.....Hey, anon, look at my posts again.....it is a left/right politcal spectrum that I always comment on and it would take a little more thought on your part to understand the difference.

So no name? Its a whole new election, but you think you can run AGAINST Bush in 2008?

Bush isn't running, so you democrats are going to need a new tune this campaign season. And you forget that the democrat approval ratings aren't any higher than Bush's. So keep pushing that MoveOn agenda. Mainstream america isn't buying it... just your fringe 10% left think its good to bash the military. That is what is hysterical

Why no name- do you actually know what Bush said about Mandela... or did you just read the left's interpretation of what he said? You wouldn't be foolish enough to think Bush said Mandela was dead if you actually saw his speach. So take your head out of the left blog's ass, and read the real news. Better yet- I'll do your homework.

He was talking about people like Nelson Mandela and speaking metaphorically. And listening to Bush's entire segment, while not artfully stated, makes it clear that he was not talking about the actual Nelson Mandela.

    --------------------------

Here is Bush's entire segment transcribed:

"I thought an interesting comment was made when somebody said to me, I heard somebody say, 'now where's Mandela?' Well, Mandela's dead. Because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandela's.

He was a brutal tyrant that divided people up and split families and people are recovering from this. So there's a psychological recovery that is taking place and it's hard work for them and I understand that it's hard work for them."

Could it be any more obvious that Bush is saying that there aren't any Iraqis filling the same sort of role in Iraq that Nelson Mandela filled in South Africa? Could it be any more clear that Bush was saying that Saddam "killed all the Mandelas" of Iraq?

Its a shame you could be tricked so easily.

Still on that, hey mental midget.

Allow me to educate you on what The President actually said....

"Part of the reason why there is not this instant democracy in Iraq is because people are still recovering from Saddam Hussein's brutal rule. I thought an interesting comment was made when somebody said to me, I heard somebody say, where's Mandela? Well, Mandela is dead, because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas. He was a brutal tyrant that divided people up and split families, and people are recovering from this. So there's a psychological recovery that is taking place. And it's hard work for them. And I understand it's hard work for them. Having said that, I'm not going the give them a pass when it comes to the central government's reconciliation efforts."

    ###
It is obvious to anyone with an IQ over 40 or one not so blinded by hate that such understanding of what the man was saying is beyond them.....That Bush was responding to a comparison of South Africa changes from oppressive rule to Iraq's....See the sentence, "Mandela is dead, because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas." What does that mean?

1)Bush thinks Saddamn Hussein killed Nelson Mandela?

2)Bush is saying that Mandella-like leaders are absent in Iraq because Saddam killed them?

Reasonable, thoughtful people know Bush meant number 2.....The rabid wacky left thinks Bush believes the ACTUAL Mandella is dead.....and to believe that one would have to say Bush thinks Saddam Hussein killed him.

    Oy.

Ok, you are entitled to your opinion, but I think it says more about your IQ and ability to think crititcally that it says about Bush's knowledge of world affairs.

The radical left is discussed by me because they are the problem, anon. Unlike Bush, an individual who will be gone after 1/2009, a flawed worldview held by a vocal and self-rightous minority, has and always will be with us...their ruling class, the democrat party, has wisely ignored them at times, but I see more and more pandering to the kookiness and like to point it out. The anti-American and anti-freedom radical left is a problem for our country and is much more complicated than throwing insults at stuupid Bush, etc. But again, some shrill losers like yourself just can't get beyond the simple stuff.

I'm counting the days till President Dumb Ass leaves office. Having said that, I still think Olbermann is a knee jerk reactionary drama queen who only panders to the hate-filled left. Fuck him too.

"His Yale transcript shows he actually got a C-!!!!!!!

"Sorry, as I post like wannawipe(AAP) with the caps and !?!?!?!...but I just can't handle Bush's lieeeeeees anymore!!!!!

"Oh my! Oh my! The humanity! The lies, the lies, the lies....they just don't stop!

"Look at the 'internets!' They are screaming about this latest lie.....A C MINUS!!!!!"

Yes, mental midget, your "Bush is a stuuuupid propagandist" ploy is amusing to make fun of.....You are stuck, along with the rest of the loser radical left, with nothing else to do as Bush continues to do exactly what he wants to do....Again, you acting like a screaming lunatic over understandable, correctable errors in rhetoric is not a wise use of time, but I understand that is all you are capable of....being a mental midget and all.

Bush garnered enough support to stop, again, the radical agenda on Iraq in The Senate....But again, he woould not be able to if the democrats use their constitutional powers of the purse, and cut off his funding!

Bush can't do anything about Impeachment hearings either, mental midget....But alas none are scheduled as you and other demanded back before the November election....

Your ruling class is feckless. Bush and those democrats and republican supporting his policy are not.

Sad, mental midget....you scream "Bush is dumb," and no one cares. The "internets" are not screaming and no one takes up your cause.

Oh well, try, try, try, again.

Broken record, mental midget. The Secretary of Defense with the agreement of brave and great veterans like John McCain and the great senator from Virginia, John Warner, dsagree with you regarding the Webb amendment which is actually just another ploy to shirk the Contstitutional duties the Congress has.....to fund or not to fund the armed forces on their missions.....

If you want the troops out now, mental midget, your ruling elite are going to have to cut the funds.....

I said it in November '06, you scoffed.
I said it in January '07, you scoffed.
I say it again, and you say, "Bush is dumb, stop defending him!"

Boy, you are dense, mental midget. Bush could say the sky is green and you could come here and say "HA! This is why the troops should come home, becuase Bush messed up again!" and it would not happen.

Why? Because Bush is acting correctly with his constitutionally given powers, and the democrats, your ruling elite, are NOT acting constitutionally in changing the policy you so vehmently oppose.

Bickering over inconsequental mistakes or interpretations in speeches and press conference does not mean one thing with regards to the events in Iraq and Afghanistan, mental midget....You are playing in the sand box of politics.

Oh well, mental midget, I do not know how else I can simplify it all for you again, but I'll keep trying. The people spoke, they want the troops home, accoring to you, so the democrats better deliver!

Cut the funds.....bring the troops home now!

Again, I predict Bush will get EVERY SINGLE CENT HE REQUESTS, the dumb guy that he is, and the democrats will pass it.....what a shame, uh mm?

"Cee would rather chew off his arm than admit the documented lies by Bush in Fact Check."

    ###
Um, no, read my posts....I call the "lies" what they are, understandable errors and inconsequential to the issues faced by the congressional leadership.....Get it right anon.

It is not about me as what you say I am...."A Bush defender." It is about having a quality discussion about the policy in Iraq and the correct ways of brining about that policy. As I have discussed, constitutionally, the silly ways the democrat leadership has attempted to avoid the political risk of pleasing their leftist fringe have failed. Bush does not have to do anything different if he bleieves in the policy....He along with 30% of the American people believe in the mission in Iraq.....what are the dems going to do to change it?

Less than 30% want immediate withdrawal like you and the radical left wants, so the pathetic democrats cringe on pulling the trigger to do that.....sad, but true.

So, Bush and I win. Why? Because the democrats are chicken.

I can explain it again to you if you want....I enjoy trying to educate you on the reality of the political landscape.

Olby and the Bush haters are really worked up. I don't blame them they way they keep getting their ass handed to them on capitol hill. I thought they represented 'the majority of americans' .?

Cee is actually speaking the truth. It's hard medicine to swallow for a simple mind that gets hung up on 'Bush Boners'. Really.

It's because of the GOP votes.

    ###
Poor, poor mental midget....The left's ruling class is the majority in The House of Representatives.....

Constitutionally, every dime spent by the executive MUST be inititiated in The House....they can simply say, "No money for Iraq, Mr. Bush." and no one could do anything about it....

But they don't....They fund the war despite the harsh rhetoric.....

They do not initiate impeachment hearings despite the lies, crimes and unconstitutional behavior of the administration.

The GOP is THE MINORITY dimwit! They have no power in The House.

And in The Senate, procedural tactics are easily disposed of....The democrats could simply pass the bills by simple majorities suspending the cloture rules.....it is called the nuclear option and no constitutional stipulations could be used to prevent such behavior.

Poor, poor mental midget. The democrats fund the war and Bush will leave office not cutting the support for freedom and democracy in Iraq.....Who will have to do the dirty work, MM? Obama? HRC? Who is going to be the one to lose in Iraq?

We will have to wait and see.

Oh, and the Congressional approval ratings of 11% reflect the fact that the democrats have been feckless in stopping this war, mental midget......People hear "Congress" and they think, "Democrats." Try, try again, mental midget.

Ha, ha, 11%.....LOWEST EVER....even when compred to the lowest when The Republicans ran things!

why, why don't you post the list of dems that continue to vote "yes" on war funding and quit blaming the Republicans. Or, should I post it and make you look stupid, again?

Don't lecture me Royal King. You hate everything that makes America great - the 1st, 5th and 14th Amendments, the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act, our men and women who defend our rights, people who bring us diversity. You names youself well for you are truly the King of Hate.

Cee, you're just he King of the Banal, tired mind-numbing repetition of any platitude that gives aid and comfort the the Bush-Cheney War Machine.

Why don't the two (2) of you go start your own site. "Two Peas Not Worth a Pot" might be a good working title. You can bore each other silly and no one else suffers. I suspect Cecelia would read and post, maybe even Brandon, Puck and Sharon. Tha already gives you more traffic than J$P.

How bout that list of dems?

the guy is septic and all he cared about was ratings...

Keith Olbermann returned to his MSNBC "Countdown" show Thursday night, less than a week after having an emergency appendectomy, and plans to be back on the set of NBC's "Football Night in America" NFL pregame show Sunday after missing last week. "I've upgraded Keith from `questionable' to `probable,' so expect him to be there and, of course, he may name me as the `worst person in the NFL,"' pregame show producer Mike Weisman said. Olbermann said he went on the air last Thursday to cover President Bush's speech with his appendix already in full disarray before having the surgery Friday. "And we still beat CNN for two hours in the 25-to-54 demo and `Hannity and Colmes' for 15 minutes while I was septic," Olbermann said. Asked how the surgery went, Olbermann added: "In place of my appendix, I had them put in some extra spleen." Olbermann has also been in talks with ESPN Radio to do some MLB postgame-related work, but that will now depend on how much additional time he needs for recuperation.

    Cee

Is that true? Congress at 11%?

    WOW!

It was just last week they made it back to 23%!

But the 'Tin Foil' crowd could not count that poll, they were forced to dismiss it!

    Why?

    It was an FNC poll!

And you know what those wingnuts say about FAUX NEWS!

    LOL!

By the way, I heard Hillary is going to be on the Fox Sunday Morning Show?

If that is true, isn't that breaking ranks?

Or is this okay because it's not on FNC.

But what will Olby say Monday Night? (nothing)

Olby says he's in talks with ESPN radio?

How so? He's banned from the ESPN campus,(he had to do the show from a studio in New York.) and the only reason he got on was because of his friend Dan who has since left.

Then again this is the 'Daily News' where you have to read everything sideways.

.....the guy was septic and all he cared about was ratings.

Olby makes Ted Baxter look like Walter Cronkite.

"Cee, you're just he King of the Banal, tired mind-numbing repetition of any platitude that gives aid and comfort the the Bush-Cheney War Machine."

Too bad you see what I post through such a myopic and unfocused lens, LLARRY. Many would see the truth as motivation to get out and jump start the anemic anti-war movement. DC is once again tranquil this weekend, only populated by tourists after the less than 10K came out last Saturday and made their peeps. Not the huge showing promised by the raving internet leftists. Oh, the power of reality is just not enough for the leftist posters here at OW.

Poor showings at rallies, lack of real political action and the simple fact that Bush continues his policy undeterred by the radical left's call that he is a war criminal and fool are the real examples that the democrats just do not care about doing what their fringe supporters want.

Sir Loin of Milquetoast suggested so many months ago....

"Lefties: Leave these pathetic drowning rats alone to stew in each other's juices. Get yourselves out in the street and fight this criminal administration in ways that really mean something, and that are noted by more than a handful of keyboard heroes!" Sir Loin of Beef

Yet, I continue to see your and people like mental midget's (why), Mike, wanna (AAP) and blindrat lacking action on the part of "the people" to move the policy making power from anywhere but The White House. You talk tough but what have you done?

The polls have been consistent....the far left's demands of total, immediate and rapid withdraw only garnners about 30% in polls....about the same as those who support the administration's current surge and Bush's approval ratings.

Bush bashing has not, does not and will not work. Those who support The President's policy have firm convictions just like the radical defeatists regarding this and insulting them will not make one bit of difference in the policy....like I have repeated....

Impeaching and removing the "deciders" from office would have been an effective way to achieve troop withdrawal....too late now folks.....and the left's ruling class are not even firing up the investigations anymore! This is one indication to how committed they were and remain to their harsh rhetoric.

Cutting funds for Iraq is also the way.....but again, I predict Bush will get his money again by December....those cowardly dems need more than 30% support in the polls to stick their necks out!

Losing the war not is not an option for Bush and patriotic Americans.....Later, after the 2008 election there will be a different dynamic at work with the potential new powers of the executive branch within reach and IF the democrats chose to lose the war in 2009, 2010 or later, then history will rightly record who pulled the trigger....I still think some like HRC and even Obama (if one of them becomes President) will not rapidly withdrawal as the fringe left demands, and may even do as Nixon did with Vietnam....we will see...but I find it amusing that as the left's ruling class fails to do ANYTHING real and risky, their pathetic constiuency continues the same poor tactics of blaming those who have clearly said they will not come over to the defeatist side.

Kucinich would be the right choice for leftists because he has been consistent in impeachment demands and fund cuts....and he would rapidly remove the military from Iraq....but alas....look at his standings (less than 5%!) and you once again see what the elite think about the war in reality! It is a joke what the modern democrat party has become....

    cowards and fingers-in-the wind "leaders."

And Keith Olbermann is the pathetic example....he makes horrible theater with his Special Comments yet supports the ruling class in HRC who has not done anything real and risky in stopping the war. Just like Hillary, Olbermann talks big but does not move the policy to a risky political point of either Impeachment/removal from office or fund cuts. This issue, even one of war, death and guns, is not enough for Olbermann and his party to be strong and forceful IN ACTION.

People are dying needlessly (according to THEIR rhetoric) and Bush and Cheney are criminals without ANY punishment as they continue their schtick! It is funny to watch.

So keep being emotional and silly over this war debate....it only makes you look foolish.

Stop the war now.....cut the funds!

And this is my post today, the 1,567th day since the declaration of Mission Accomplished in Iraq.....

I am cee, good night and good luck.

"I'd tell you that the Democrats are talking a good game, but they're not even doing that. Everybody in Congress has to understand something: If they continue to fund this war, it's not just the President who owns it. They own it, too." Sgt. Liam Madden

"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration's policies in Iraq. Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back." NYT 1/28/07

"I think the Vietnamese are better off in Vietnam," George McGovern - NEWSWEEK

"Lefties: Leave these pathetic drowning rats alone to stew in each other's juices. Get yourselves out in the street and fight this criminal administration in ways that really mean something, and that are noted by more than a handful of keyboard heroes!" Sir Loin of Beef

"American liberals need to face these truths: The demand for self-government was and remains strong in Iraq despite all our mistakes and the violent efforts of al Qaeda, Sunni insurgents and Shiite militias to disrupt it." DEMOCRAT Bob Kerrey

"If we end up saying that because these people are committing these acts of terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan, that we shouldn't have done the removal of Saddam or the removal of the Taliban, then we are making a fundamental mistake about our own future, about security, about the values we should be defending in the world." TONY BLAIR

"You can't bring the troops home if you give George Bush $100 billion to wage this war. You're not supporting them. You're keeping them in harm's way." CINDY SHEEHAN

"There is no doubt ... that Al Qaeda is operating in Iraq. There is no doubt that we've had to take very strong measures against them. And there is no doubt that the Iraqi security forces have got to be strong enough to be able to withstand not just the violence that has been between the Sunni and the Shia population and the Sunni insurgency, but also Al Qaeda itself." GORDON BROWN

"People of America: the world is following your news in regards to your invasion of Iraq, for people have recently come to know that, after several years of tragedies of this war, the vast majority of you want it stopped. Thus, you elected the Democratic Party for this purpose, but the Democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning. On the contrary, they continue to agree to the spending of tens of billions to continue the killing and war there." OSAMA BIN LADEN

"Al Qaeda really hurt us, but not as much as Rupert Murdoch has hurt us, particularly in the case of Fox News. Fox News is worse than Al Qaeda--worse for our society. It's as dangerous as the Ku Klux Klan ever was."
    KEITH OLBERMANN

"His kind make up less than 10% of Americans these days."

    ###
Sorry, wrong again.....The President garnered a 30% approval rating compared to The Congress....as historical low of 11%.

So you are incorrect. Although dismal, George Bush's numbers are more than double that of The Congress bottomless-pit territory numbers AND on top of that, he is continuing to be successful in implementing his Iraq policy despite the fact that The Congressional leadership promised a "change of course in Iraq."

Who is keeping their promises and who is not, leftists?

And mental midget, once again you show how dense you are and how you only can parrot fringe talking points.....

Slowly now, if Bush thinks Mandela is dead it would be at the hand of Saddam....Again, if you think Bush really believes that, then you are much dumber than I gave you credit for....

The actual quote is not what your source has, it was the following:

    ###
See the enitre quote gives the listener or reader the context of what Mr. Bush was saying and the complete sentence:

"Well, Mandela is dead, because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas."

Are you suggesting Bush believes Saddam Hussein had all of Nelson Mandela and his family killed (Mandelas, plural)? Logic dictates that in order for one to believe Bush thinks Mandela is dead, Saddam killed him.

Ok, mental midget....you got it now? I can't help if those who WANT to believe it was an actual claim that Bush made the eroor of saying Nelson Mandela is dead and gone have that opinion....it is an opinion, however, and one without much merit logically.

But again, mm, you never show any ability of be logical or thoughtful for that matter.

Just like the huge mistake you made about FOX NEWS not carrying the democrat's response to Bush's address...You never did admit to that gaffe and it was FACTUAL for goodness sake! No room for interpretation or "misconstrument."

    But I digress...

    Have a nice evening.....And remember.....

Cut the funds....get the troops home NOW!

"You can't bring the troops home if you give George Bush $100 billion to wage this war. You're not supporting them. You're keeping them in harm's way." CINDY SHEEHAN

We'll see if your democrats deliver on their promises, mental midget!

gawd, what a bunch of pansy-ass whiners! GWB is evil blah, blah, blah, GWB lied blah, blah, he's dumb blah, blah, he's fighting an illegal war blah, blah, blah, he sends troops to their death, blah, blah, blah,,,,over, and over, and over.

This is factually wrong. But, your kind is factually sitting on 11%(way, way in left feild). Nice try, though.

why, are you too embarrassed to post the list of dems that voted to fund the war? Just want to blame the Republicans?

You think I didn't know that, fool? Come on, after seeing that list (if you even looked at it), blame the Republicans for the war, again and show your idiocy. Tell us how many (d)'s voted FOR the amendment?

And how many (d)'s voted AGAINST the amendment? Come on, show them and blame the (R)'s again!

Mental midget posts another explaination on why he thinks Bush thought Saddam Hussein wiped out Nelson Mandela and his family and he says I am fixated? Oh, and those mistakes in Bush's speech....once again, I will repeat what I said the first of many times I responded....simple errors easily corrected and of no consequence to the policy debate....

    You still hate Bush.
    I still support Bush.
    30% still support Bush.
30% want immediate troop withdrawal from Iraq.

You will not be successful in changing people's minds with blind hatred and overstated/overheated, demogogic arguments, mental midget. Get it? You try to prove your point with typical leftist sniping at a President with his base securely behind him, his constitutional powers at his disposal and unthreatened by impeachment, and the greatest military on earth solidly behind his policy. On top of your inept tact, your ruling class has chosen only symbolic gestures and worse, inaction, despite their forceful and specific promises to change the course.

You have difficulty understanding reality, mental midget. I will repeat....

Cut the funds....get the troops home NOW!

"You can't bring the troops home if you give George Bush $100 billion to wage this war. You're not supporting them. You're keeping them in harm's way." CINDY SHEEHAN

"I'd tell you that the Democrats are talking a good game, but they're not even doing that. Everybody in Congress has to understand something: If they continue to fund this war, it's not just the President who owns it. They own it, too." Sgt. Liam Madden

Cee: "you have difficulty understanding reality"...

Cee, your own statement decribes you perfectly.

How, Mike? Show me how I do not grasp the current events faced by our country?

    I'll help you Mike....

Bush's approval ratings have remained in the upper 20's to low 30's for a long time now.

The opinion polls regarding Iraq have also remained the same....broken into thrids among the spectrum of choices....immediate withdrawal has never garnerned more than 30% and Bush's tactics remain around the same....The democrats like to try to blur this fact, but their anti-war fringe supporters remain a small minority.....just like the recent protest numbers prove.

So Mike, let me know how I have an incorrect view of reality.....especially with regards to how the congressional leadership have been acting since 1/07.....I'll be patient.

How, Mike? Show me how I do not grasp the current events faced by our country?

Posted by: cee at September 24, 2007 2:42 PM

cee, I'll answer for him. He can't. Anyone that does not buy into his far left agenda is wrong, according to his "open" mind, as he claims to be.

"Six in 10 of those polled want to see U.S. troops leave Iraq either immediately or within a year."

    ###
Exactly as I said, mental midget....only a small minoity want immediate withdrawal, the rest want a more measured withdrawal (OVER A YEAR)....the fringe left wants immediate and polls show this is now more supported than Bush's policy....Again always around 30%.

The same with your other numbers, mm.....always less that 60% are against the President or the war.....his base remains behind him and keeps the democrats from pulling the trigger on fund cuts and impeachment.....sorry about the bad news, MM, but your democrats just are whimpy!

Poor mental midget just does not get it.....Bush is not going to lose in Iraq.....perhaps the congress will force it by 1/09....I doubt they have the guts.....perhaps the next President will choose to lose in Iraq.....but Bush is not going to be saddled with the retreat decision. Even HRC is holding out with her quote yesterday when asked about withdrawing the troops when she becomes President....she REFUSED to answer!

He, he, he, mental midget.....your tactic is a loser...Bush gets his funding, the war continues through the next 1 1/2 years and the democrats will be faced with either continuing it or surrendering to Al Queda.

Exactly as I said, mental midget....only a small minoity want immediate withdrawal, the rest want a more measured withdrawal (over the course of a year)....the fringe left wants immediate withdrawal and polls show this is NO more supported than Bush's policy....Again always around 30%.

Cee: "Bush is not going to ,loose in Iraq"

YOU"RE the one who just doesn't get it Cee. Bush "lost" the minute he made the monumentally stupid decision to try to shape and control the politics of an entire region with an alien culture to our own...militarily!

Nobody nut Bush and his pathetic band of Neocons will ever 'lose' in Iraq!

Poor mental midget....HRC will not fund a war that she may continue as President? Wow, what great leadership the left has for our country.

"defying the wishes of the American people"

    ###
Correction.....the wishes of SOME of the American people.

I AGREE with Bush so I do want the funding to continue....I along with 30% of the American people stand behind Bush and his fight for freedom. And guess what, he will continue to get what he wants! No hypocrisy on my part, mm....I just point out the TRUTH about you and your pathetic democrats.....they do not have the guts to pull the trigger on fund cuts!

The 60% you claim is not for immediate withdrawl, mm...it is for withdrawl within one year.....not what the far left wants....you want immediate withdrawal.

So stop trying to make your fringe demands mainstream....they are not. You would see the dems doing a lot more if they were really "mainstream."

We will see, mental midget.....See my posts regarding this and I have been clear that I believe HRC has the best chance to win and she said yesterday that she cannot comment of withdrawing the troops from Iraq if she becomes President. Oh boy.....I think she may pull a Richard Nixon on you fringe leftists....it will be fun to watch when the results of policy hit close to home for the democrats.

Oh, and if there is progress in Iraq and the democrats sense ANY change in public support for the Iraqi people, you will see the change even sooner, mental midget. I am looking forward to seeing you squirm....

Just like I have enjoyed you and Mike and blindrat be oh so wrong about the democrats achieving troop reductions and impeachment hearings after they were elected in 2006......I said to you they would not do one thing of consequence against the "lame duck" Bush and I have been right so far....

    Leadership?.....The left?.....Where is it?

In your mind, mental midget....the average American is not thinking, "boy I hate Bush," like you. He/she has better things to do. Again, your Bush bashing gains NOTHING! I laugh at you and your ilk because the tactic has failed....Bush has been doing the same, believing the same and leading the same....he was elected twice AND continues unhampered by no impeachment hearings or war fund cuts!

"Huge failure?" We will see....Again, if he resigned or did as the defeatists on the left demands I would agree with you....but he has not, will not and he will be smiling brightly on the stage in 1/09 with whoever the wise American people choose to lead. It angers you as a Bush hater, but it is true.....and it is funny!

Oh, and mental midget....you NEVER address two points I keep asking you about......

    1) The 11% Conressional approval ratings....Why is so much lower than Bush's?

and 2) Will you address your gaffe about FOX NEWS not showing the democrat response to Bush's last address to the nation?

Or are you no better than that stuuuuuupid and evil Bush?

How, Mike? Show me how I do not grasp the current events faced by our country?

    >>>His "response"..........
