an excellent point SteveMG. We have far more in common than we would ever care to admit. We are, all of us, descended from the ideals of classic liberalism. One side put more emphasis equality and the common good, and the other on liberty and individualism. And no matter how we disagree on them, we can all agree that all are noble goals.

FNIA did have a much better flow Sunday night, in part because of the absence of Keith's segments but also because no studio show can dole out enough air time to everyone when you've got six people (Costas, Collinsworth, Barber, Bettis, King and Olby) who have to be included in the mix.

Keith's emergency surgery would actually give both him and NBC Sports an easy out of the situation, where he can cut back his work level to just "Countdown" while he recovers from surgery, and NBC can simply continue doing the same type of show they did last night, without ever having to admit that Week 2's show went far better than Week 1, and what the reason for that change happens to be.

Have you seen him? He's closer to 300 than 250. 250 on a 6'4 guy ain't that much. He looks huge in every picture I've seen of him and his weight is all concentrated in his waist/hips, the most dangerous places (indcators) for heart disease. Dead-man walking if he can't lose that weight.

Whatsamattter, you like it when Olby calls O'Reilly Giant Head or Loofah Boy or whatever, but when Olby gets it back, it's a problem? Sorry this ain't the NY Times or some other suck up rag. Olby get as good as he dishes out here (and then some!)

Where do you hear that from? The one thing we do know is that O'Reilly ignores Olbermann and that Olbermann continues to embarrass himself by making things up about O'Reilly. The best example of this is when Olby falsely claimed that O'Reilly "supported Nazis". Olbermann made this false accusation after hypocritically warning that it was inappropraite to throw arouond the "nazi" label against people because it debases the true horrific nature of the Holocaust. But, Olbermann is so obsessed with O'Reilly he keeps banging his head against the wall with "Loofah" and Big Head" and other assorted sophomoric stupidity. Meanwhile, O'Reilly continues to ignore his dopey ass and grind him up in the ratings each night.

FYI: The NYT is the paper of record in this country. It's the newspaper where all others are measured by.

Maybe you find it troubling because it's written on a higher reading level than People magazine. ( Probably b/c someone in the right wing rags told you to think that.)

Whatever its reputation may be, the NYT is a paper in decline as reflected by subscription rates, ad revenue and scandals in which editorial writers published wholly manufactured pieces. Recent articles about Olbermann that have appeared in the NYT are rife with the same genuflecting puffery that is charactersitic of the leftist MSM.

Well actually reading the NYT is good preparation fro reading People since both publications are trite, predictable and cliched on each page.
