"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)
Host: Keith Olbermann
Topics/Guests:
Trim the eyebrows, Bathtub Boy!!
The same moonbat parade every night
No conservative ever in sight
Maddow and Musto
Countdown status quo
The viewers change channels from fright
Three nights and no attacks on Bill O. Olby is not only letting go of his penis envy he may finally realize that those constant boring attacks are causing his ratings to sink deeper that the titanic.
The fangirl sites have been criticizing him for his too-frequent Bill O. attacks so he must have decided to cool it.
I guess it takes a girlie man to know a girl fan.
Olbermann on O'Reilly:
"Defends Nazis"
Olbermann on Medved:
"Defends Slavery"
Upcoming Olbermann Speshul Komment re: President Bush's veto of the bloated S-CHIP Bill:
"Defends Killing Children"
The Edward R. Morrow of the 21st Century, indeed!
Peter Stark, D CA, was undoubtedly the WPITW tonight for this statement in the House today:
"But you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if he can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement."
Grammie
Is Olbs act is getting old, I think the ratings are starting to tell that tale....
As I'm sure most know Rush Limbaugh is auctioning the original letter from Harry Reid, signed by forty additional Senators, to Clear Channel Communications demanding he be repudiated.
The bid is to in excess of $800,000 and will not close until tomorrow. In addition to this:
"The entire proceeds of this auction.. the entire high bid... will be donated to The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation, a registered charity which provides financial assistance to the children of fallen Marines and federal law enforcement officers. Rush Limbaugh serves on the Board of this organization and has been active on its behalf. All costs of this auction will be paid by the seller... every dollar of your winning bid will go to this charity, which has to date distributed over $29 million. "
Rush is going to match the selling price in a personal donation.
I just posted this at Newsbusters:
"If you go to Rush Limbaugh's web site @:
http://www.rushlimba...
There is a link for a personal contribution to MC-LEF.
There is an option for donors to contribute in honor or memory of someone. I made mine in honor of Rush Limbaugh because I don't have a personal connection to any who have fallen in defense of our country.
Spread the word if you have not already."
Grammie
I predicted earlier tonight that Olby would calmly and rationally report on the Bush veto of S-CHIP by saying that abush 'Defends the Killing of Children". I now realize that I was mistaken and take back what I said. Olbermann merely asked why Bush "hates" children?
Also, Grammie did you see where Olby commented on the Pete Stark quote that you referenced? He brought it up to lefty Alter. Alter denounced it, but Olby floated the idea that Stark's disgusting comment was "refreshing". Here is Stark's quote:
"But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if he can enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President's amusement."
Then Maddow made her appearance. Olby brought up the quote again. Maddow said it was "rough around the edges" but that the Dems need rhetoric like this because they need to get tough. Olby then said other than the fact that the statement had some "gore" it was right it line with what he would have said in a special comment.
Why pay to get into Ringling Bros.,when you can turn on MSLSD and see the circus for free? (just bring your Pepto)
Hank, I simply can NOT stomach the man (?) on TV. I read the recap and frequently go to the transcript.
I could not find a full transcript of Stark's calumny from today but listened to a video earlier. There was another little tidbit at the end.
If you go to:
http://michellemalkin.com/2007/10/18/stark-raving-mad/
he has a rich, or should I say sick, history of more of the same.
I don't remember the exact quote or where I read it but it goes like this: If you surround yourself with clowns don't be surprised if a circus breaks out.
I believe a rephrase is in order.
If you surround yourself with psychopaths don't be surprised if an asylum breaks out around you.
I am sickened that this was said in our House and his political allies refused to censure him much less apologize or ask him to apologize.
Grammie
There is much truth in what Stark said, although "hubris" would have been a better term.
Hank, I just found a transcript of what I described earlier as an additional little tidbit.
"But the President Bush's statements about children's health shouldn't be taken any more seriously than his lies about the war in Iraq. The truth is that Bush just likes to blow things up in Iraq, in the United States, and in Congress."
How low can they go?
Grammie
Chicken Blogger, in what context or specifically where are you suggesting that "hubris" is the appropriate term to replace Stark's own words?
I am also very interested in your proof "There is much truth in what Stark said".
Hell, forget about proof just share your reasoning to back up your deranged, excuse my bluntness, statement.
Grammie

Just checked E Bay
Rush's Harry Reid Letter auction just hit the 2 million mark with a little over ten hours to go.
It doesn't get any better!
To what end, Mrs. Hawkins? To be insulted, again? The fact is that there is no value in discussions with Bushies about Bush policies. You have created this Cult of Personality, and you fail and refuse to consider the subtantive arguments put forth by others which might in even a tagential way question his wisdom or character. If, at this late date, you will not even consider that GWB sought out any pretense and no pretense to engage a man who, as GHWB wisely concluded, ought to be left in place, to one up Dad, and GWB has continued the folly because he can't own up to a mistake of any sort. Even a mistake hich has killed thousands, injured more and squandered the national registry. If that doesn't fit the classic definition of "hubris," I cannot imagine what would, but in your close-minded, loud-mouthed support of GWB, you can give respect to no opinion which questions his skill, judgment or candor. It is much like a gun control discussion. To what point?
Puck, the smart money is betting that none of the Senators who signed the scurrilous letter will even entertain Rush's challenge for each to pony up 1/41 of Rush's matching contribution to put their money where their venomous mouths are.
There is some big time money represented there. Could it that they acquired it by spending Other Peoples money to soothe their consciences rather than a proportionate amount of their own money?
They rant and rave about Tax Cuts for the rich when their fortunes are such that their expert tax lawyers keep their taxes to a minimum and an increase in their taxes won't change their life styles at all.
I remember when GWB's tax cuts proposals were being debated Ted Kennedy railing about the rich not paying their fair share. Some reporter pinned him down about what income made someone "RICH" and he mentioned a figure of seventy or eighty thousand dollars a year.
Poooor Ted. He caint hep it. He was born with a gold place setting in his mouth.
Grammie
FLUCKER, stuff a sock in it!
Grammie
So, there is only one person and poster who disagrees with you, Mrs. Hawkins? Have you fraud webmaster do one of his patented IP checks and have your fraud president start a war in Iran. He's dying to do it, and we have pretty much lost all we can in Iraq.
FLUCKER, stuff a sock in it!

By Olberman offering an unchallenged one hour, prime time Democatic Party talking points show - discrediting eveything conservative or Republican - with absolutley no rebuttable or fair discussion - he has now put into question the credibility of everyone at NBC News. I have heard no public rebuttals of any of his comments from NBC reporters and journalists, one logical asusnmption is that they are in total agreement with what he is saying and they indeed have their own liberal agenda. Unbelievably, given his depserate career history of doing anything to gain ratings by attacking competitors personally and "below the belt (i.e O'Reilly, his short sting in Boston wherer he was fired Boston, his two LA stints where he was fired) he is at best a dishonest, failed reporter who at almost age 50 - has now found a niche with a very biased audience, at worsat a disgarce to the profession. It has to be said that the Liberal Stream media has hit new lows, More alarming is the sound of silence by all who - if they were the least bit honest and unbiased - would have spoke out and condemend such propoganda.
Sad times for the once respected news media. Their only hope is to attract viewers who (1) have no idea, who (2) are uneducated, or (3) share their same liberal bias. He may be one of the all time five worst journalists in the past 100 years. We know from accredited studies (U of Missouri/UCLA study) 9/10 journalists have liberal leanings. But before Olberman they have to a degree dishonestly acted neutral
Short term ratings improvement when it wes hard to go down any further, but at a cost of lost credibility to everyo
ne associated with NBC News
SAD TIMES FOR ANYONE INTERESTED, CONCERNED OR IN TUNE TO THE AMERICAN PRESS
I come here because the liberals love this freak Keith. And the media fawns over him, which only exposes their bias. I can't wait for a real piece of reporting calls him out for his bias and lies. That day will come soon as the luster, as dim as it was, has started to where off. Keith is dim, and the new NFL exposure probably was the moment he jumped the shark. He loks out of place with 'real' people, rather than the partisan hacks he chooses as guests.
You like apples? How about these apples?!
Wednesday ratings!
2714 for OReily
990 for KeithO
Thats THREE times more viewers for you math impared loons.
Oh, wait...Keith aims for the covetted demo!
656 for OReily
332 for KeithO
Thats double! Amazing....
No wonder Keith hasn't mentioned OReily in days. He's kicking his arse!
wear not where- sorry for my failed second grade english.
Countdown: of, by, and for the unhinged.
Universally- even the libs have been saying today-
"Woooo, Stark, easy boy. You are going a little too far"
Yet the unbiased level-headed KeithO-
"Refreshing"
Someone needs to punch his ass. I wish I lived in Manhattan. I'd troll Keith's favorite pickup joints like Chucky Cheeses, just for the opportunity the drown him in the ball crawl. I'm coming for you fat nerd!
I was just over at NEWSHOLE....

The errors of Keith Olbermann continue...
The painting they try to use as a joke idealistically depicts Washington crossing The Delaware river into New Jersey just prior to the great turning point battle of Trenton. The losers of COUNTDOWN got it wrong by suggesting Washington was leaving New Jersey in the boat....nope, wrong again.
Oh well, a minor point but considering Olbermann's hubris with WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD, one must be more careful throwing stones from their glass houses.
Polls on CNN & MSNBC this morning, where heavy in favor of Stark not withdrawing his comments. No surprise. Just the opposite on F&F's on FoxNews.
NBC's home of the moonbat news
From Olby, Abrams, and Matthews
Right-wing berating
Crushed in the rating
Because Keith, Dan, and Chris always lose
The most unabashed whiners, moaners and bitchers in America? Olbermann Watch, of course!
Whiners, anon?....Please...Olbermann and his pathetic ilk are the whiners...this from his site yesterday....
"Are 'wins' really that vital to this White House? Are they so few and far between, that a President who threw away the greatest personal support ever afforded a Chief Executive, and threw away a re-election, is so marginalized that he would have a spokesperson characterize denying roughly four million children health care insurance as 'we won this round on S-Chip?' Yes. George W. Bush is that bankrupt."
###
Ooooo, the democrats can't even pass legislation renewing a program that works well and they cry, "Bush hates children!" Awww...I say sit down with The President's policy team and fashion a compromise that does not create an even bigger entitlement-expecting whiner nation relying on the federal nipple.
Olbermann is the personification of "the whiner."
Cee, I posted this along with an excerpt from the CBO S-CHIP Summary on the Oct 12 thread.
You probably have seen it but I know you will interested if you missed the info.
""Schip was created as a program that needs to be reauthorized every decade; the House plan makes it a permanent entitlement. Schip was supposed to help the uninsured; the House plan is consciously designed to "crowd out" private coverage and replace it with federal welfare. The bill goes so far as to offer increasing "bonus payments" to states as they enroll more people in their Schip programs. To grease the way, the bill re-labels "children" as anyone under 25, and "low income" as up to 400% above the poverty level, or $82,600 for a family of four.
As if this all weren't blunt enough, the House's Schip bill also includes a new tax on private insurance policies. Assessed at $375 million in its first year and increasing thereafter, this so-called "fair-share" tax will fund a new government agency to study the "comparative effectiveness" of certain medical treatments and kinds of insurance. Unremarked is that health insurance is already more expensive than it needs to be because of mandates like this one.
To finance its Schip largesse, the House would eviscerate Medicare Advantage, an innovative 2003 program that allows seniors to choose among various private health plans. It's growing rapidly and currently serves some 8.3 million seniors, or about 18% of the eligible population. According to the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services, most are the urban poor, seniors in rural areas and minorities. No doubt they are attracted by the additional benefits, increased access to specialized medicine, and coordinated preventative services that Advantage offers over the traditional version.
The House bill will eliminate $50 billion in Medicare Advantage funding over the next five years and $157 billion through 2017. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the funding cutbacks will likely result in three million people losing their Advantage coverage, and the rest facing reduced benefits and higher out-of-pocket costs. Politically, it's ironic that Democrats are funding "free" health care for the middle class by dinging poor seniors, who will have no other options besides normal Medicare and all of its gaps. The seniors probably have another word for it."
Medicare Advantage is a boon for many retirees. I would have taken it if my health situation were different. I have opted for the much more expensive Medicare, Medi Gap and Prescription.
I found the WSJ article when I googled SCHIP. I linked on it but the URL doesn't appear in the top where it usually does. This is the bottom part in green:

Grammie
Great info Grammie, but instead of these key policy differences, the talking heads, Olbermann out in front, takes the democrat's plays and demogogues the issue...."Bush hates children."
It is disgusting political gamesmanship over a simple issue that deserves a serious review.
I fail to see why Cee and Grammie take such pleasure in Americans being senselessly killed and injured in Iraq and in American children having medical care denied them in America. You must be truly sadistic people.
I came across this about Nancy Pelosi:
http://carbolicsmokeblog.blogspot.com/2007/10/house-passes-resolution-condemning.html
It is laugh out loud funny and makes a point.
Grammie
I do not take pleasure in either, anon. I get angry about terrorists killing anyone (including American troops) and I believe children should have every necessity provided to them by their parents, entended families and as a last resort, the ever expanding "community."
When those charged to take care of their own children fail to prepare for ALWAYS uncertain future, children suffer and in no way do I take personal responsibility for that reality.....It has always been an uncertain world and there are good ways to avoid the eventual troubles ahead, and some ways that are foolish. Having a job or pursuing an occupation that does not provide health insurance for you and your family is NOT a good choice and all I see coming from the democrats are whiney middle class people who CHOSE not to be prepared for the uncertanties that are ALWAYS there if you decide to raise children.
Those responsible for not doing the right thing in the first place should feel the sting of such results and DO SOMETHING about the situation instead of crying, "Bush hates children!" Or, in other words, whine.
This is not what adults are supposed to do, children act in such ways.
If you want 10 million more children (some from upper middle class homes) provided for BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT for the next ten years, show me a good plan that actually encourages people to take responsibility for their lives and make the right choices for themselves and their families.
It is POLICY, I am talking about, anon....not whether I hate children and want to see any suffer.
Chicken Blogger, why do you support a policy that is going to be funded on the backs of the destitute elderly and lower income people to provide insurance for '25 YEAR OLD CHILDREN' in the solid middle class.
And there is this little problem:
""On the basis of a review of the research literature, CBO concludes that the most reliable estimates currently available suggest that the reduction in private coverage among children is between a quarter and a half of the increase in public coverage resulting from SCHIP. In other words, for every 100 children who enroll as a result of SCHIP, there is a corresponding reduction in private coverage of between 25 and 50 children.9 The available evidence, which is quite limited, suggests that the bulk of the reduction in private coverage occurs because parents choose to forgo private coverage and enroll their children in SCHIP (because of better benefits, lower costs, or some combination thereof), rather than employers deciding to drop coverage for such children. No studies have estimated the extent to which SCHIP reduces private coverage among parents, so the available estimates probably understate the total reduction in private coverage associated with the introduction of SCHIP.
Changes to the program may generate different effects on private coverage than those estimates suggest; in general, expanding the program to children in higher-income families is likely to generate more of an offsetting reduction in private coverage (and therefore less of a net reduction in uninsurance) than expanding the program to more children in low-income families. (Over the course of 2005, an average of nearly 2 million children were apparently eligible for SCHIP but remained uninsured.)10 As discussed below, policymakers are exploring options to increase participation among eligible children."
The same ting happened here. I googled S-CHIP CBO Summary and I think this is the URL:
www.cbo.gov/ftpdoc.cfm?index=8092&type=0&sequence=1 - 36k -"
Why are you so thrilled to see tMIDDLE CLASS 25 YEAR OLDS groveling at the trough gobbling up half of the money earmarked For POOR CHILDREN.
Look within to see the glee over each injury and death in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sadly, you are horribly uninformed.
Limbaugh is King , the ebay auction has proved it. Harry Reid and the other filthy disgusting worthless lying Dems look simply ridiculous and always will. When you attempt to shoot the KING, you damn well better kill him. HA!
REID IS PATHETIC !!
Reid is now alligning himself with Limbaugh and his ability to raise funds based on making fools of Reid and his ilk. Liberals and their leadership are an embarrassment. Truly pathetic.
Reid made a speech on the floor of the Senate that is equal mixtures of self congratulation, disbelief and encouraging people to bid.
No mention of Rush making a matching contribution, no encouragement that I heard for individuals to contribute (it is easy-there is a link at Rush's site) and nary a whisper that Rush challenged them to pony up 1/41 of his matching contribution.
A real swell guy!
Grammie
Morning Joe had olby toady Craig Crawford on this morning stating that Stark was a Court Jester , but Olbymoron had the previous nite in no uncertain terms that he was a breath of fresh air. What in God's name could Crawford be thinking? Didn't he get the talking points from PMSNBC that Stark was wonderful? And will Crawford be sent into exile for not following the Olbylogic??
Toddrico, that Stark is a laugh a minute!
I heard he is the most watched comedian in Bellevue's psychiatric ward.
Grammie
Dems are demoralized today. Things haven't went their way. Harry Reid has been punked big time by Limbaugh. The assassination attempt on former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto failed to kill her, thus not giving Al Qaeda the delicious win that is so needed right now. Nancy Pelosi failed in her attempt to throw a wrench into our efforts in Iraq by stirring up resentments along the Turkey/Iraq border, may she rot in hell in for that. Olby is probably in the tub as we speak.
I think there is no doubt that Patriot Rush Limbaugh will be made worst person in the world on the hour of propaganda. Keith will some how twist Limbaugh's donation to the troops families into some kind of plot or scheme. Knowing Keith, he might even try to paint the charity Limbaugh is donating to as some kind of Republican front group.
Rush Limbaugh in just four days raised money in excess of pathetic Olbermann's yearly salary for a worthy organization.....Using the letter written by the pathetic leftist ruling class who Olbermann props up every night on his show.
They can't get valuable legislation passed, get the troops home from Iraq or bring the criminals of the executive to justice....but they can give THE PARTISAN Rush Limbaugh a great laugh as he uses their pathetic attempt to get him fired and silenced to make over 4 MILLION dollars (after his own dollar to dollar match)!
A great symbol of how bad the left is doing.....Rush Limbaugh's raises money on eBay off of the silliness and stupidity of the Democrats in The United States Senate.
RK, I think you will enjoy this story about Venezuela:

Bobo, I do advise you to make an effort to calm down and purge your soul of all this manic hostility bordering on hatred.
This can't be good for your body, your soul or your mental stability.

You really expect anyone to buy your hogwash, moron?
Where's that great republican revolution that Rove and Bush planned in 2000?...THAT WAS GOING TO LAST A GENERATION!
It's laying in tatters, with almost everyone from this administration GONE !
Where's the compassionate conservative agenda ?
With Bush vetoing children's healthcare, that's some legacy!....especially when you combine it with Katrina and all the false promises of Iraq?
I thought the oil was going to pay for the war !
I thought this war would be over in a matter of weeks !
I thought the insurgency was in their last throes !
You think everyone has short memories !
You think everyone is stupid !

Rather than list a couple things the dems have accomplished, "why" choses to play the ol' diversion card. Proves cee is right, I guess.
Ohhhh, the more I read the more I laugh! Circumstantial, at best.
Chicken Blogger, who is really Bobo, surely you jest:
"Truth hurts doesn't it ?
Posted by: at October 20, 2007 2:21 AM"
I am all ears waiting for your illumination and proof that 'PETER STARK RAVING MAD' spoke the truth:
"....... The truth is that Bush just likes to blow things up in Iraq, in the United States, and in Congress."
Exactly what did GWB blow up in "Iraq...the United States and in Congress" and where is the evidence that he "likes to blow" all these things up?
I won't ask for any such thing to substantiate this psychotic break, perhaps, accusation by 'PETER STARK RAVING MAD':
"But you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if he can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement."
But, hey, if you want to GO FOR IT be my guest!
If nothing else it should prove to be amusing.
Grammie
Interesting, isn't it, how Mrs. Hawkins and Jeff, the meanest and most ill-informed partian hacks on this site, believe they possess all wisdom and truth?
Chicken Blogger AKA Bobo, I requested enlightenment and truth from you to set me straight!
Your answer was woefully and pitifully devoid of anything other than a personal attack.
Should I take this to mean that there is no persuasive evidence and absolutely zero proof?
Grammie
I'm not Bobo you wretched old hag, but I think your conversations with the person you are calling Bobo is ample evidece of meanness, your comments about Stark and you proffer of the Venezuela piece and your comment about partial birth abortion (on another thread) of your partisanship. Of course, I may be wrong. You may just have kissed Bush's ass so much you accustomed to the texture, taste and aroma.
Patsy, is that you?
If it is you I am deeply hurt that you used "HAG" instead of your pet name for me, HAG-ZILLA!
Please forgive me, Chicken Blogger, whoever you are or are not.
Putting my faux pas aside I would still like an answer to my questions @ 4:28 AM.
Grammie
Given that Olbermann has at least one fan who uses no less than 10 different names on the various fan boards, sometimes using more than one name on the same fan board, and it's a proven FACT that multiple posters here are actually the same person, no wonder there's a certain level of obsession on this board regarding the Olbyloon's many user names.
Hit a little too close for home there for you didn't I think?" Hey, lost your glasses on the bus lately? How are those neighbors of yours-the ones who keep starting fires? And more importantly-are you still calling yourself "Leona"?
Hey, is the site fucked up?
