Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    October 26, 2007
Countdown with Keith Olbermann - October 26, 2007

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • PRES. BUSH'S DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL ISSUES: Howard Fineman, Newsweek senior Washington correspondent and MSNBC political analyst; Flynt Leverett, New America Foundation senior fellow and fmr. National Security Council senior director for Middle East Affairs
    • MORE BILL O'REILLY CONTROVERSY: Rachel Maddow, Air America radio host
    • CELEBRITY LATEST: Michael Musto, Village Voice

Keith P Ottermann chanted the opening spell: Confundus! Bush Petulancy! 7-Year Old! Dissendium! Fraud! Scourgify! Bisexuality! Morsmorde! It's Harry Potter Day at Olbermann Watch.

    Bathtub Boy

#5: Petulance! Rubber Stamp! [Ding!] Blank Check! [Ding!] Ghosts! Provocative! Howard Finnegan and Marcus Flynt Leverett reinforced the powerful majick of P Ottermann's incantations. Langlock!

#4: FEMA Fakes! Jeff Gannon! [Ding!] Nitwits! Propaganda! E.J. Dionne joined the mystic circle. Ferula!

#3: Olbsession! (Sacred Scroll Source: Think Progress!) Incestuous amplification! Rachel Muggle, from Err America (she hasn't been on The Hour of Spin since... well, since the last show Olby did). Together they took unproven allegations as fact and spoke again and again of the eeevil O'Rowley. Racist! Mackris! Double Mackris! Right-Wing! [Ding!] Hypocrisy! Falafel! [Ding!] Psychological Treatment! Fox Noise! [Ding!] Cistem Aperio!

    Fidelius!

#2: Di, Kidman. #1: Humorous Britney exchanges with the castle's resident jester, Merlin Musto. Rictusempra!

In the nightly reading from the Book of Curses and Counter-Curses: Glenn Beck (Sacred Scroll Source: Hillary Clinton's Media Matters), and worst, Dana Perino (Sacred Scroll Source: Daily Kos, Keith's favorite charity). Oppugno! Another week of battling the dark forces behind him, Keith P Ottermann left Koswarts for a weekend with Katy Bell Tur. Evanesco!

    Keith Limpermann

If it's Friday, it's our weekly assessment of Krazy Keith's masculinity. This week Monkeymann attacked Fox and other broadcasters 16 times. Olby's source (Hillary Clinton's Media Matters) criticized (MS)NBC six times, but again, Keithy protected his corporate masters with zero criticisms. That makes this week's Olbermann Manhood Quotient: -32 [Dumbledore limp].

    MisterMeter

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olbermann's name sunk to #23,349 on amazon, while "Culture Warrior" is #1,296. (It's that 2-for-$25 sale!) Barnes & Noble has the OlbyTome dropped to #57,167; O'Reilly's book is #2,611 there,--and it's now out in paperback! Amazon lists it at #199, while the paperback edition of Oralmann's screed is at... um, let's see, it's at... oh wait, never mind. There is no paperback edition. On Wednesday the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann again came in a poor third, both in total viewers and in the coveted, pivotal, much-beloved, critical, all-important "key demo". Evanesco! Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 7 [HIGH]

I think Keith wants to suck on Bill. He's really gay, thats why he likes the Err America chick on all the time.

I think Keith wants Himself, Katy and Maddow in a 3-way.

" Our third story on the Countdown: A month after his racist remarks about a New York restaurant, O'Reilly now coming out against tolerance, a little more than four years after -- according to the lawsuit of his former producer Andrea Mackris -- Billo tried to talk her and a female friend of hers into performing homosexual acts while he was present. To paraphrase the hypocrite's mantra -- "Do as I say; Not as I fantasize." "

Sure Keith. As if you never fantasized about Mary Carey having sex with Rebecca Lobo.

I wonder what dose KO think these attacks on O'Reilly are going to do?..drive him off the air?...thats pretty pathetic to drag up a 4yr old story with unproven allegations.

For "Sieg Hail" KO to call anybody racist is really taking the cake after his racist attacks on Chris Wallace(A Jew),Alberto Gonzales(Hispanic) and Michelle Makin(Asian)plus his "chicken and waffles" comments about Roscoe Parrish(Black)..KO has made racist remarks about 4 different groups and he dares call O'Reilly a racist?..what an ass!!

I don't know about all those fantasy scenarios, but that was despicable. Bill O'Reilly was describing the views of others not necessarily his own.

Miss Maddow hates Fox, Bush, and men
That's why she's on Meltdown again
    On Bush she'll henpeck
    Fixed Noise or Glen Beck?
Add Keith and it's moonbat and hen

    Olbermann is boooring!
    The Same Islamic-Leftist Propaganda.
I tnink Olbermann is Bin Laden!

damn, that Rachel Maddow bitch looks like the biggest dyke in the world. You couldnt pay me enough to touch that ugly piece of shit. I wonder if KO 's girl friend is just as ugly, maybe that's why he needs the viagra every night.

that Maddow dude almost looks like a woman.

Sen Kaye Baily Hutchinson (R-TX) on Bill Maher a couple of minutes ago:

Maher: Who was hte better president; Bill Clinton or George W. Bush.

Hutchinson: That's not a fair question.

Maher (laughing with the audience): Why is that not a fair question?

Hutchinson (after uncomfortable pause/audience chuckling): Because I'm a Republican.

She said this with such a pleading look on her face that Maher actually let her off the hook and changed the subject.

That is right my faithful follower Anonymous, because it is very obvious that the devil himself Bush, never did try to get me!

Keep up the grand work my loyal subject, Anonymous, as you state the obvious whenever you see it.

An intellectual and intelligent man like you knows the real answers to why the devil himself wouldn't dare go after me, and what may be so obvious to you is certainly a blur to the infidels of your nation.

Now that you have let the eagle out of the nest for all to see, I think it only wise that I should clarify once again to the uninformed of why the heathen president Bush has failed to try and catch me:

1-That if he did then he would make himself more popular than ever for the American people

2-Not only popular, but a help to his demon republican party

3-That it would defeat the spirit of you and our followers

4-It would only prove what he has said all along that he will never give up fighting to destroy those who orchestrated our great attack on the tall towers of evil.

Yes, my son, you have proved once again why I chose you to carry on our battle in America, because even as the Americans are so blind, you show once again how your vision is crystal clear!

Carry On Anonymous because without you where would we be?

    Akaba! Ayeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Maddow looks like a dyke for a very good reason: she is one. An "out" lesbian with a long-time partner.

I don't care what her sexual preference is: She's a flaming libnut moonbat socialist freak. That's what concerns me.

Miss Maddow is a city slicker
A good place for a slitty licker
    The pivotal crux:
    She's moonbat deluxe
    And that's why conservatives snicker

Sen Kaye Baily Hutchinson (R-TX) on Bill Maher last night:

Maher: Who was the better president; Bill Clinton or George W.

I read it the first time you posted it, Loin

I think Air America should give out free wind up radios to tap into a previously inaccessible segment of the population: hippie psychos living in trees. That way maybe Ms. Maddow could afford some makeup or rhinoplasty so she doesn't look like an utter slag every time she makes an appearance.

I think Maddow is cute, but I don't stand a chance with her. She puts on the best radio show in the country, as well.

SLOB sounds really desperate if he thinks Maddow is cute. If you think she's cute, you might also be interested in Ted Kennedy, a far left wing nut, right up your alley dude.

Maddow has the condescending smile of a liar. That being said, she is still 5 times the man Olby will ever be. Olby seems exceptionally happy with himself lately. Any ideas why?

That O'Reilly item last night was despicable to the nth degree. Oralmann managed to work in just about every angle possible: rascist, bigot, pervert, homophobe...

The Mackris lead-in was totally gratuitous not to mention bogus. What grown adults (ALLEGEDLY) do in private has NOTHING to do with gay references in KIDS' books. But of course, Olbylogic deems that hypocrisy on Mr. Bill's part.

Diposition. Ok, only 'dips' read it and enjoy it.

When Air America has the listening audience that even close to the listening audience of Rush Limbaugh, Ms. Meddow will have much higher credibility. (I have no idea if some of the posters here are correct about her sexual preferences, and I don't care. Like Seinfeld said, "not that there is anything wrong with that").

Until then she is nothing but a hired mouth spouting and echoing Olbermann's nonsense.

Funny, she is never accompanied by a guest with a dissenting opinion, (neither are any of Olbermann's guests, such as convict John Dean or Craig Crawford or any other raging liberal) as O'Reilley's conservative guests are ALWAYS accompanied by a liberal.

I guess that is because Olbermann has no idea what "fair and balanced" is. He just makes small-minded and feeble efforts to denigrate the network that cleans his clock 99 nights out of a hundred. (Exceptions being O'Reilley re-runs).

And as far as The Worst Person In The World is concerned, has it ever occured to Keith that he could save a whole lot of money on research to find the worst person if he only had the decency to look in the mirror?

    Republican Killa:

First, if that is how you spell your percieved role in life your credibility is wounded before any debate.

Bill Gates never graduated yet became the world's richest man.

Rush Limbaugh never graduated yet he beats Maddow and her miserable, dying, laugh of a radio show every day.

Second, Hannity also beats your heroine's failing attempt at a radio show. So does Glen Beck. You fail to give a valid reason why you think he is a moron.

And if you think that O'Reilley is a sociopath, obviously you never listened to Randi Rhodes. Or Al Franken. Or Janine Garafalo. Or Louis Farakhan. Or James Carville. Or, for that matter, Ted Kennedy, Chuck Shumer or Harry Reid.

PS Maddow is cute, extremely intelligent and could out debate almost anyone.

Posted by: Why don't you think at October 27, 2007 2:09 PM

    cuckoo, cuckoo!

somebody just please take keith out NOW!!

Republican Killa, if you have to sink so low that you identify yourself with a rapper and you have resort to oscenities, I can only pity you.

I bet the dropouts Hannity and Limbaugh make more money in an hour than you make in your lifetime.

    Now I await further obscenities.

you left wing blow hards should start your own web site... "O'Reilly Watch" or "Hannity Watch" or "Fox Watch". Then spin your BS all you want.

It's funny how left wingers can't debate issues about the left (or left wing supporters), without digging up BS about the right. nothing ever stays on topic here.

Abracadabra!.....Isn't today "National Day of Action Against the War in Iraq?"

Boy, I sure don't see many people out with signs demanding an end to the war?

In fact, OW resident radical leftist, Sir Loin of Milquetoast, is posting against my arguments from yesterday on the other thread.....Oh well,

I guess the lower and lower numbers of protesters is good......

    1) Our brave veteran counter-protesters will have less chances to be spat upon.

    2) The ratings for DEAL OR NO DEAL will remain strong for Olbermann's bosses at GE.

Oh boy....where is that leftist movement predicted in 11/06?....The troops home now, Bush irrelevant, society transformed!

Where is mental midget (why) with his grand predictions?...I am sure he is NOT out on the pavement.....

It's raining in NJ and he can't get his toupee wet!

STOP THE WAR! CUT THE FUNDS NOW!

And this is my post today, the 1,641st day since the declaration of Mission Accomplished in Iraq.....

I am cee, good night and good luck.

"I'd tell you that the Democrats are talking a good game, but they're not even doing that. Everybody in Congress has to understand something: If they continue to fund this war, it's not just the President who owns it. They own it, too." Sgt. Liam Madden

"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration's policies in Iraq. Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back." NYT 1/28/07

"I think the Vietnamese are better off in Vietnam," George McGovern - NEWSWEEK

"Lefties: Leave these pathetic drowning rats alone to stew in each other's juices. Get yourselves out in the street and fight this criminal administration in ways that really mean something, and that are noted by more than a handful of keyboard heroes!" Sir Loin of Beef

"American liberals need to face these truths: The demand for self-government was and remains strong in Iraq despite all our mistakes and the violent efforts of al Qaeda, Sunni insurgents and Shiite militias to disrupt it." DEMOCRAT Bob Kerrey

"If we end up saying that because these people are committing these acts of terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan, that we shouldn't have done the removal of Saddam or the removal of the Taliban, then we are making a fundamental mistake about our own future, about security, about the values we should be defending in the world." TONY BLAIR

"You can't bring the troops home if you give George Bush $100 billion to wage this war. You're not supporting them. You're keeping them in harm's way." CINDY SHEEHAN

"There is no doubt ... that Al Qaeda is operating in Iraq. There is no doubt that we've had to take very strong measures against them. And there is no doubt that the Iraqi security forces have got to be strong enough to be able to withstand not just the violence that has been between the Sunni and the Shia population and the Sunni insurgency, but also Al Qaeda itself." GORDON BROWN

"People of America: the world is following your news in regards to your invasion of Iraq, for people have recently come to know that, after several years of tragedies of this war, the vast majority of you want it stopped. Thus, you elected the Democratic Party for this purpose, but the Democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning. On the contrary, they continue to agree to the spending of tens of billions to continue the killing and war there." OSAMA BIN LADEN

"Al Qaeda really hurt us, but not as much as Rupert Murdoch has hurt us, particularly in the case of Fox News. Fox News is worse than Al Qaeda--worse for our society. It's as dangerous as the Ku Klux Klan ever was."
    KEITH OLBERMANN

    Republican Killa,

Hey Dickey, how was your NAMBLA convention in SF?

    Eat that, bitch!

    "maddow is cute" end quote.

Ahh, it is statements like this that warm my heart my infidel's! It is another one of my devious plans that seems to be working so well!

Killing Americans and demoralizing the American people with my cells strategically posted throughout their country have done wonders, (olbermann, pelosi...she did a wonderful job for me while over in Syria..., reid, etc.) but now with one of my most secret plans starting to work I have no fear that the jihad will be unsuccessful!

That's right my evil American rats, now one of my most loyal cells Sir Loin of Beef has begun the campaign to stop all chances of pro-creating by thinking that my manmade servant spies are cute!

When all of America's men start lusting for men posing as women, my job will be almost complete!

Next! To the White House, where my next she/man will be promoting my cause as she/he is elected to carry out this ingenious plan I've set.

I can see it now: "freedom for all terrorists" as she/he insists that your borders be open wide for my army and me.

Mass killings of the like never seen since the days of your civil war! The real men of your country being held in check, as they are being told to be more caring and sympathetic to my cause!

Oh, but for the grace of Allah I thank thee for your servants like Sir Loin of Beef, as he has cleverly started the end of the evil race in America with his lusting for my man/woman Maddow!

Let it catch on, and be gone with the likes of the J.Lo's, Pam Anderson's, Eva Mendez's, and any chance of pro-creating again!

    Akaba! Allah is Great!!! Ayeeeeee!

2.7 million on a good night? Yup, you sure are changing the nation for "the folks", Bill. Who needs tolerance anyway? Good advice, Bill! I'm going to be so intolerant of the next fan of yours that I met that I'm going to choke them until they bleed from their eyes...

recently signed a contract worth about 4 mil
recently bought trump condo in NYC for 6 mil
got to see a world series game
has a Sunday Night football gig
has a new book coming out in Dec.
    ratings are up
    MSM LOVES him

Gee, I wonder why "Olby seems exceptionally happy with himself lately" too.

    Republican Killa,

    Hey Dickey. Eat this, bitch!

    1) What was the nationality of the majority of terrorists who attacked us on 9/11?

I don't care what nationality they were. The important thing is that they were Mohammadans.

    2) Why did they attack us?

I don't give a fuck. Do you give a fuck why the Japanese attacked on Dec, 7, 1941?

    3) Do you believe in the Eighth Amendment?

Which one is that? I like the 2nd Amendment better.

    4) Do you support Ronald Reagan even though he sold weapons to terrorists?

Reagan fucked up on this one.

    5) Do you support George Bush even though he pulled forces away from a cornered OBL?

It was a Democrat Army lawyer who stopped it. "Terrorists have rights, too, you know!"

    6) Do you support Bush even though there were no WMDs?

    Saddam was the WMD.

    7) Do you support Bush even though he has done away with habeas corpus?

Who are these missing people who have been spirited away in the dead of night? Please give a a list.

    8) Do support Sean Hannity even though he is a pathological liar?

I admit I lied when I said that most Democrats are patriots, too.

    9) Do you support Bush even though he is cutting taxes at a time of war and building up debt to China and Saudi Arabia?

Even with Iraq, the military spending is a tiny portion of the federal budget. By the way, are you prejudiced against Ching and Saudi Arabia? You are just a hater.

    10) Do you support the republicans who attack veterans such as Murtha, Kerry, McCain, Cleland, and Wesley Clark?

The aformentioned are all now traitors who want to lose in Iraq because they hate Bush more than the terrorists.

Hey Dickey, you wanna play another round of 20 questions? I will be glad to shove them up your ass, too.

    Why don't you think,
    Why do you support Iran?

    Why don't you think,
You never condemn the Iranian regime.

Keith's fans are huge fans of E.Coli, probably because they're big fans of the guy who is full of shit.

Iraqi Army at Besmaya Installation Support San Diego Fire Victims
By U.S. Army Sgt 1st Class Charlene Sipperly
Multi-National Security Transition Command – Iraq Public Affairs

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Members of the Iraqi Army in Besmaya collected a donation for the San Diego, Calif., fire victims Thursday night at the Besmaya Range Complex in a moving ceremony to support Besmaya's San Diego residents.

Iraqi Army Col. Abbass, the commander of the complex, presented a gift of $1,000 to U.S. Army Col. Darel Maxfield, Besmaya Range Complex officer in charge, Multi-National Security Transition Command Iraq, to send to the fire victims in California.

The money was collected from Iraqi officers and enlisted soldiers in Besmaya. In a speech given during the presentation, Col. Abbass stated that he and the Iraqi soldiers were connected with the American people in many ways, and they will not forget the help that the American government has given the Iraqi people. Abbass was honored to participate by sending a simple fund of $1,000 to the American people in San Diego, to lower the suffering felt by the tragedy.

    Could be just an anomaly?

Ho hum...National Day of Action Against the War in Iraq came and went...just like any other 10/27.....

And where was mental midget?....Posting here about Bill Maher and E. coli.....Hey Bobo....your greatest moral issue needs resuscitation....the protest numbers are DECLINING even after a surge and new war fund requests from The President!.... billions more to be given from the democratic party controlled purse!

Oh my goodness!....The war, the war, the war!....

I forgot about the death, the needless destruction, the profits, the murderous policies of Bush Co. as I watch HBO and amuse myself with the sharp poltical wit, as I serve humanity as a couch potato radical!

    I MISSED THE PROTEST!

Oh dear. What commitment you have to getting the troops home, mental midget. I recall your posts about the protest before....the people, oh the typical American coming from miles away to give it to Bush and the neocons!...They were normal, everyday people....how we clicked!

And Loin too...I come back after 14 hours and see he was still sitting on his butt avoiding debate over a semi-colon.....fulfilling my impression of him....Sir Loin of Milquetoast.

Oh the radical American left....what giants of leadership, intellect and steadfast principle!

    Why,

Phari-cee believes nothing he says, even in regard to his religion.

He now makes light of having removed a crucial semi-colon from a crucial Document from Amerian history, attempting to introduce ambiguity to its clear language, but this intentional deciet shows he has no real faith in hs own positions, even those surrounding his fundamental cosmology.

    What a sad little fuck.

I was referring to the fact that the election was much closer than expected (democratic incumbent winning that narrowly in Massachusetts). If you think that is not an anomaly, then you are stating that the repubs will have pretty close races and not blow-outs, maybe even some victories by coming so close in a liberal state.

Cris bitch-slaps Olby again. Love it. Olby and Bob went on a stupid tangent about futuristic stuff like in the Jetsons, where food is replaced by pills, etc. Bob cut to the players panel, and Cris said I know Keith has taken his pills, but that's an aside.

Cris makes another Olby-on-drugs comment. We wish Olby would get medicated for his many issues.

Olby tries to respond to Cris' insult with a lame comment. Sorry Olby, you've been served. Again. Bedsheet and handkerchief? Olby has been beaten up too many times by little girls.

from a DU thread - Olby needs help from his base -

    You can post without registering.

The righties are flipping their wigs that somebody that doesn't hold THEIR beliefs get airtime.

Let them know there are many more of us that like Keith and are glad that NBC is using him in their NFL broadcast."

The DUers are trying to rally the left to post their love for Olby. Doesn't seem to be working too well right now.

I watch to see Cris's smackdowns of Olby - maybe Cris will make him cry. Costas is much too diplomatic here. Go Cris.

Nice comback Lucy (SLOB) and mental midget....6 months ago you were claiming a great cross-section of people coming to rallies against this war and we would see change! What happened?....The protest numbers are lower now and you never mentioned the draft previously being an issue because the war was immoral and illegal....The american people were on your radical side!....Troops out NOW!

Such an unpopular war.....Lucy and mental midget's ruling class can't change a thing as well....

Keep deluding yourself with generic polls without candidates and policy statements...I will look forward to being right again about the national security policy of this country like I was in 11/06....

    Remember?

CUT THE FUNDS....STOP THE WAR NOW!

PS Lucy (SLOB)....I believe very deeply what I post here....your silly semi-colon argument was addressed twice now AND I am still waiting for that secular (read-atheist) adolitionist you have planned to educate me about.

    Sincerely, Linus (cee).....(Hey, where's Pig Pen.....wannawipe?)

Olby's rant against the NFL playing the Super Bowl in Europe was actaully pretty accurate, even if delivered in his usual smarmy I'm-so-clever attitude, which is why he ended up getting the rebuke from Collingsworth.

And someone really needs to let Bob Costas know that Keith's line about Steven Jacskson leaving the game due to a pulled groin -- "Hopefully his and not somebody else's" -- in not only a 20-year-old riff on the stuff he was doing on SportsCenter, so it's no longer that funny, but it wasn't even correct. The AP wire stories and the in-game reports clearly said Jackson, who had missed several games due to the injuriy, left Sunday's game due to a back injury. So Olbermann just ignored the facts in order to get off a cheap, moldy masturbation-inferrence joke, which, given his concern for the facts on Countdown, shouldn't have come as any surprise.

    It's astounding!

Contrast THAT statement with Cee's request for a response to his opinions about the effect of leftist ideology on U.S. national security policy.

John - you are so right. The catchphrases from SportsCenter seemed funny years ago when I was in high school but not so clever now. He should have just let them live in the past. Now he's trying to bring back his glory days and they don't seem so glorious anymore.

I didn't look closely enough at the article: mea culpa on the incumbent issue. There will be seats up for grabs in 2008. One of the previous comments was that Repubs are so hated that

"Fifty-nine percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of the Republican Party and just 38% have a favorable one."

That comment would seem to suggest that even in a special election, the race should not have been as close as it was. Just a theory. Take it easy. I am not claiming that the result means victory for (R)'s in 2008.

Of course, it has become almost derigueur
for Olbermann to invert reality to suit his purposes: denouncing the use of the term "Nazi" to smear opponents and then falsely applying it to BOR, proclaiming that he is "not political" while stridently delivering foaming at the mouth jeremiads against Bush and his supporters on a nighly basis and inveighing against Bush for recently failing to invite liberal journalists (along w/conservatives who were invited) for a private sit down while Olbermann himself has never deigned to invite any conservatives on Meltdown to challenge his views.

But then, these developments are not surprising. Only a person whose mental illness is in full flower thinks and acts this way. Olbermann's serious character disorders are readily apparent when he thunders against the supposed sins of others and then shows contempt for these very standards by openly engaging in such conduct himself. One recent example is found where he criticizes the right wing "water carriers" who supposedly cannot seperate their roles as objective debate moderators from their political lives, but the saintly Olbemann, a straight arrow journalist who does occasional comment has no such problem, we are told.

Guess again. Olby's blatant in kind contribution to the radical leftists at Daily Kos has put the lie to that bit of rhetorical garbage for which Olbermann has become widely known.

No, we do not criticize Olbermann because he stumbles over a word or two-- go back and look at the tape of the broadcast the evening of the Minnesota bridge collapsing. It is rampant with stuttering, pauses and disconnected strings of words-- the mark of an amateur who is lost without a script and a teleprompter.

More importantly, Olbermann needs to get a clue about how inept and ethically challenged he is before lashing out at others.

    hellllloooo???

Nah- Boston is not a democrat state?
Wasted keystrokes is showing why he picked that name.

The bluest states in the republic-
    Boston, New York, Vermont, California
And yes- some Republicans do win in these states... just ask AAhnold. But any time a Republican does well there - it makes headlines.

Janet still obsessing about an out of context quote of mine: "I wonder what entity using what implement he had in mind for his incision?"

THIS is an example of why arguing with you people is pointless.

Cee's mean sprited and vindictive replaying of that quote is meant to imply that I am in favor of censorship of some kind, which is NOT the case. The remark was nothing more than a reaction to the state of affairs we have had at the highest levels of government for the last six years in which anything BUT Neoconiosh thought has been allowed. In other words, moderate and liberal ideas have been completely "cut out" of the thought process and our country is paying the price.

The TRUTH is that, if a liberal or moderate is elected president, I would hope that, UNLIKE Bush, they will encourage and listen to opposition ideas, because neither side has it right all the time.

If I were the mean spirited fanatical ideoloque Cee is, I would make a collection of his OWN sound bites taken out of context to imply he is saying something he isn't actually saying or means. It wouldn't be that hard to do. But I'm not THAT mean or vindictive.

No Janet, I understand that you can't see the malevolent nature of Cee's comments towards his political opposition on a daily basis, but that is because you are yourself blinded by your own partisanship.

To give further context, I REALLY do believe that Neoconish thought IS a cancer on this nation that has grown bigger than anything I could ever have imagined prior to 911, but that doesn't even begin to mean that I believe in censorship of such dangerous ideas ..... That said, I don't believe in censoring Nazi thought and speech either....because this is America.

Boy whiney Mike.....your conclusions on someone being "hateful" is accomplished with one broad brush....However, if it based on only what one posts on this site that brings down that final gavel, you should really include yourself with your own statement as evidence.....

Hence the appropriate name of hypocrite "mike."

For examples of Cee's venom, you need go no further than a post or two above.

    1) - Constantly using uncalled for derogatory nicknames, ei., "whiney Mike", "Hypocrite Mike", and many, many more. Yes Cee, I've done it to you too, but I was only returning the favor.

    2) - Repeatedly citing and replaying posts of single out of context 'sound bite' type quotes to repeatedly FALSELY imply that I (or anyone else) was advocating something I wasn't.

Once again, consider what ANY of us could come up with ourselves if we were vindictive enough to pick through the thousands of bombastic and fanatical posts that Cee has literally flooded this board with that blame "the leftists" for everything?

If you ask Cee an HONEST question as to why he has refused, and continues to refuse service to his own country despite his almost legendary zealotry, he calls it a "personal attack". How convenient for Cee!

No, you on the extreme right won't see or acknowledge it. Thats because you really believe anyone who believes differently from yourselves are just 'whiners', 'hypocrites', 'politically moitvated', etc., etc. But that's nothing but your own political blinders speaking to you.

"er...when did they make Boston a state?"

They just now earned statehood by sweeping the World Series again.

That would be your reaction to Linus, Lucy (SLOB)...do you not recall my post calling you and wannawipe Pig Pen (AAP) on calling my, the founders' and Sir Isaac Newton's belief in God as like that believing in THE GREAT PUMPKIN....Now from our discussion this morning, I can include Emerson and Thoreau!....

Along with Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Bush, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi!

Some are afraid of those radical leftists who see such fairy tales as as much childish jibberish...They cower with their supernatural beliefs in fear of ridicule and laughter....But not Linus.....oh but compare it to the materialistic, narcissitic and petulant attitude found otherwise...like Linus' sister, Lucy.

"While there was certainly no shortage of sweetness in Peanuts, there was a substructure of decidedly non-sugarcoated Christian theology—God is sovereign, no matter how difficult things get; humanity is fallen, sustained only by the grace of God; there is an obligation of holy living, met not by "faith in ourselves" but by reliance on the Holy Spirit. In Schulz’s memorial service one of his daughters, Amy Johnson, stressed that "my dad knew from where his talent came." Johnson also recalled how Schulz once responded to the persistent questions about why Charlie Brown loses: "There is only one winner. The rest of us are losers." Not the stuff of the "health and wealth" gospel."

Thanks for being right for once...showing I am Linus, Loin....He universally is a sympathetic character and quotes Yeshuah's birth from The Gospel of Luke to this day when the Emmy and Peabody award-winning holiday television special, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is on during the great season....I guess you sensitive atheists have yet to cause a stir about that one....

    http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2005-12-05-charlie-brown-christmas_x.htm

"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

"As Linus once explained, "I love mankind...It’s people I can’t stand!!" In one of the many strips with the football gag, Lucy stands over the humiliated Charlie Brown and offers her own sardonic commentary: "Your faith in human nature is an inspiration to all young people."

    ###
You see Lucy (Loin)....your godless worldview leaves something out...and like your intellectual brothers before you, the result is not pretty....For goodness sake, Nietzsche went CRAZY at the end of his life and thought he was being crucified like Jesus!

Your posts contain little about the atheist Nietzsche, Lucy....it is curious.

And Mike....my sense of humor and irony has never been hateful...I have never wished anyone dead, their thoughts cut out like cancer or made up some horrible animal name for them....I try to avoid dehumanizing my opponents because that is the dark way and leads to trouble. If I ever did that, I am sorry.

Your posts, however Mike, are much more hate-filled than mine.

    Cee sez:

"I try to avoid dehumanizing my opponents because that is the dark way and leads to trouble. If I ever did that, I am sorry"....Taking a single 'sound byte' type quote (out of thousands), that doesn't mean at all what you took or imply it to mean, and then repeatedly rubbing everyone's faces in it with every subsequent post is one example of an intentional attempt to embarrass and thus 'dehumanize' an opponent.

"Your posts, however Mike, are much more hate filled than mine."....You are not exactly an objective judge of that.

Well Mike, if you are referring to your cancer quote, I will be glad to remove it once you repudiate the vile thing. Just like any of my repeat quotes....if the person abandons it, repents from it...I will remove it.

Oh, and by the way...every quote was posted in context....just do a search with quotation marks around the quote in Google "OlbyWatch" on the left margin and go to the earliest post.....They all are accurate and in context.....Your's even comes with the date, whiney Mike!

CUT THE FUNDS....STOP THE WAR NOW!

And this is my post today, the 1,644th day since the declaration of Mission Accomplished in Iraq.....

"Thinking such as your's is a cancer on our nation that needs to be cut out." MIKE posted 10/4/07 7:02PM

Cee regarding my quote: "I will be glad to remove it once you repudiate the vile thing"

And what exactly do you call me telling you at least ten times that you misunderstood what I meant, and that you are misrepresenting what I believe?

That said, I really don't give a damn if you remove it or not, because I have personally lost all respect for you and anything you have to say long ago.

You're not at all interested in anything anyone else has to say that opposes your fanatical vision. You simply dismiss anything and everything that doesn't fit neatly within your carefully crafted little worldview....that in reality has no more of a foundation than a house of cards.

But just let an opponent string a few words together in such a way that you think you can use them against them in perpetuity, and you leap right on that like the insecure predator you obviously are.

Just as Loin characterized you as "Linus", those repetitive quotes serve as your security blanket .... you drag them along everywhere you go so you can use them in place of standing on your own two feet.

Read many my posts dear Mike and see I do not include the tag lines unless they are appropriate to the biggest issue Olbermann and the left have, and that is their own power....The Iraq War is just the worst and most vile event the radical left has used since Vietnam to increase their influence in The United States....You seem to be a part of the cabal, so you are included!

That is why the tag lines are there....a reminder to reasonable people not taken in by the anti-American left that there are real values behind the politics....especially the politics played with on COUNTDOWN.

So Mike, your ideology is represented by your quote....If you do not like the words, recant....I would be glad if you did because like many of the other quotes, they represent a sorry state of affairs.

I do not come here to OLBERMANNWATCH to gain anyone's respect...I come to have a nice debate...To test my opinions and beliefs...so far I have been somewhat satisfied although I miss craigs in particular.

Cee: "The Iraq war is just the worst and most vile event the radical left has used since Vietnam to increase their influence in the United States...You seem to be part of the cabal, so you are included."

With THAT statement, we have one of of the most vile and dishonest statements that has ever been made on this blog.... and THAT in a nutshell, is why I have honestly labeled you as the the real hatemonger among us.

You just callously dismissed the FACT that I, along with most American's who are anti-war, feel the way we do because we HONESTLY believe it is detrimental to America, it's future, what it stands for, and is doing nothing but creating a more polarized and dangerous world.

Who the hell are you be so damn callous as to believe or say that the anti-war movement is nothing but a political ploy? It's FAR too important for that! Yes, there are SOME pathetic souls on BOTH sides that are using the issue politically...but damn few! And I certainly am not one of them.

I personally could care less what party is in power in America, as long as they do the right thing...and THAT is the ONLY reason that I oppose the Republicans right now.

Where is Chiv? He seems to have disappeared. Are you here? (Hey the Great Pumpkin is on now!)

Those that have come to the same anti-American conclusions the American radical fringe left held on 9/10/01, 9/11/01 and 9/12/01 and everyday since, is their problem. I do not wish them harm or abuse (they are not malignant processes), just that they have bought the propaganda of a vocal and powerful minority.

Having differences in execution of the war in Iraq is not what I have a problem with, Mike, it is those, like yourself, who have attempted to ignore the noble and valiant effort that is still being undertaken to bring freedom and democracy to Iraq. You have said planly you believe Bush lied to get us into Iraq and you were against the war from the beginning...You are wrong, especially in light of the atrocities done by Hussein and the widely accepted opinion, even of your own ruling elite, that he had an up and running WMD program in 2002.

Now, with men and women on the ground, the fringe left continues their anti-American rhetoric. Sorry, I find it repugnant and dangerous. People are entitiled to their opinion and can voice it all they want, but when it is clear that it is held and used to gain domestic political advantage, it is a very sad situation....That is exactly what the left's ruling elite did in 2006 and now are showing you they never intended to change one thing in Iraq.

Like in Vietnam, the violence in Iraq is 100% the fault of the enemy...those who want to impose their relgious beliefs on the population through a theocracy....radical shias, radical sunnis and Al Queda....They must be stopped...and progress is being made despite the domestic US political maneuvers of the radical left and their supporters, like yourself.

It is 1968 all over again with one HUGE difference....George Bush did not pull an LBJ coward move and allow the rdaical left oxygen to move the democrats to their side....he is comitted to standing with his fellow defenders of democracy and freedom in Iraq and let the chips fall where they may in our democratic system...

If the democrats win the executive and move to the fringe left and pull out of Iraq, history will forever show they cut freedom off at the knees and allowed radical islamic terrorists a victory, especially as progress is now being made with Iraq security and reconciliation. I will never agree with such vile, selfish and politically motivated actions and will be glad to see my ideological fellows in the minority for such principle.

Poor Iraqis giving their own money to Americans under threat of death for supporting the enemy. Pretty boring stuff?

    Here is another:

BAQUBAH, Iraq – A 19 year-old man was rescued from an al Qaeda-in-Iraq prison in the village of al Hammadi, 10 miles southwest of Baqubah, by 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, during an air assault Oct. 28.

The rescued hostage was found tied to a ceiling with his arms raised behind his back, which caused injuries to both arms. The man was treated at Forward Operating Base Warhorse for dehydration, joint injuries, bruises and abrasions.

The man was kidnapped on Oct. 25 in Baqubah “at a shop by five men in a car, because of my brother who is in the Iraqi Army,” he said, “they wanted information and for my brother and me to work for al Qaeda.”

Nonetheless, the young man did not give al Qaeda in Iraq the information or his allegiance. He said he was slated to stand trial held by an al Qaeda leader for refusing to help al Qaeda, for which the punishment is death.

“They beat me with cables while holding a gun to my head, but I would not work for them because I would not betray my brother,” he stated, “these are very bad guys, they do bad things, I would never support them.”

Cee, as a response to my assertions about your own character as to how you mischaracterize both me and others who disagree with you, you choose to begin the entire circular argument about the EEVVIILL "leftists", and their hidden agenda, .... all over again.

I have confronted every one of your arguments at one time or another and you simply choose to dismiss what you cannot effectively refute.

Bush & Co. DID lie to get us in this war, and the lie continues even today. They wanted it SO badly that cherry picked intelligence, decades old evidence of outdated WMDs, a CIA chock full of doubters, and a UN emphatically AGAINST using force could not deter them.

The case for war was made to both the American people and Congress many times based on fear and "mushroom clouds", NOT to "bring freedom and democracy" to Iraq.

IF they had succeeded in making a case for this war based on spreading "freedom and democracy" PRIOR to the invasion, then who would I be to complain? But that is NOT what happened, and we both know it....therefore, the entire situation taken collectively amounts to one huge cynical LIE!

You really should take a serious look at your "spreading freedom and democracy" through the point of a gun ideology, because it remains seriously flawed. Just look at how it has turned out in many surrounding countries.

You simply cannot accept the FACT that eveyone in the world is not like you, that they don't think like you, nor do they think like us. To assume we know what is best for people of alien cultures in selected foreign countries who just happen to have huge stockpiles of oil is the epitomy of arrogance.

And THAT, in a nutshell, is the problem with your worldview. It's arrogance knows no bounds.

"Unlike Saddam Hussein, we believe the Iraqi people are deserving and capable of human liberty, and when the dictator has departed, they can set an example to all the Middle East of a vital and peaceful and self-governing nation.

The United States with other countries will work to advance liberty and peace in that region. Our goal will not be achieved overnight, but it can come over time. The power and appeal of human liberty is felt in every life and every land, and the greatest power of freedom is to overcome hatred and violence, and turn the creative gifts of men and women to the pursuits of peace. That is the future we choose.

Free nations have a duty to defend our people by uniting against the violent, and tonight, as we have done before, America and our allies accept that responsibility.

Good night, and may God continue to bless America."

Text Of Bush Speech On Iraq
President Gives Saddam Hussein A 48-Hour Deadline

    WASHINGTON, March 17, 2003

The end of the speech to the American people. Didn't he go beyond WMD here?

Thanks Sharon....And Mike, you have no proof that George Bush lied to get the support to invade Iraq....The data was there and most bleived it to be true. Even Bill Clinton said Saddam was pursuing WMD.

And now we are there the mission must be completed. It is the right thing to do for justice and security purposes.

Cee: "And Mike, you have no proof that Bush lied to get the support to invade Iraq. Even Bill Clinton said Saddam was pursuing WMD."

Ho hum...back to the circular argument that never ends. I love the "you have no proof" one the best. We have certainly met the 'preponderance of evidence' standard handily, if not necessarily the more stringent "beyond a reasonable doubt".

By you logic, OJ is not a murderer either.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cee: "And now we are there the mission must be completed. It is the right thing to do for justice and security purposes.

In my opinion, THAT has always been the only honest argument that war supporters have. Why don't they just stick to that one instead of defending the original rational to invade, which has clearly been thouroughly discredited.

While the decision to stay or leave IS the only real debate, it IS important to understand and accept how we got in this mess so we don't make similarly bad decisions down the road....such as maybe in IRAN!

Go back and read Bush's speech from March of 2003 and tell me that he did not talk about spreading freedom in the Middle East. That is why Buchanan spoke out so vehemently against the war. Bush did not add the part about freedom in subsequent to the war.

Bush did not add the part about freedom subsequent to the war. ARgue that it was a terrible decision, but I don't see the lie when you read the portion of the transcript I copied.

"Freedom" was to be a simply a byproduct of an invasion that was justified for other reasons.

Also, the March 2003 speech occurred AFTER Powell's UN speech, AFTER all the rhetoric and run up to the war, AFTER the Congressional vote, and the decision to invade was clearly already set in stone at that time.

Actually, the words in part were:

The United States with other countries will work to advance liberty and peace in that region. Our goal will not be achieved overnight, but it can come over time.

This was not the first time the idea was addressed. WMD was clearly the main issue, though.

Cee: "And now we are there the mission must be completed. It is the right thing to do for justice and security purposes.

"In my opinion, THAT has always been the only honest argument that war supporters have. Why don't they just stick to that one instead of defending the original rational to invade, which has clearly been thouroughly discredited."

....and if they were honest about it, those forwarding this argument would step out of their comfortable conditions and sacrifice something to this end. In Phari-cee's case this might involve.....enlisting as a military doctor, for a start.

RIGHT WING histry will say this, certainly; just as the Nazis blamed civilian commie Jews for losing the First World War, and as American conservative reactionaries blame the anti-war movement for causing our defeat in Vietnam, and the subsequent avalanche of dominoes across Asia and easern Europe....oh yeah, that last part never happened.

From all across the active theaters of this "war on terror", soldiers are saying that there is no mission without more troops and a real dedication to dong something other than treading water. Idle bourgeois war boosters such as Phari-cee should demand a wide-based draft, and sign up themselves to do their part, if they want to forestall the disasters they foresee coming with "failure".

If you're not prepared to do these things then shut your duplicitous fly-traps.

"If you're not prepared to do these things then shut your duplicitous fly-traps."

That's the word of a milquetoast anti-war supporter who was posting on OLBERMANNWATCH this past weekend instead of being out and about with his fellow hippies protesting....I still have not seen your write-up in the papers concerning some act of civil disobedience like chaining yourself to The White House fence or staging a sit-in at Senator Reid's office, Lucy.

Your fringe leftist representatives continue to display themselves as the strange kooks they represent....Good ol' Kucinich claimed more people have seen UFO's than approve of George Bush....well he was wrong.....the best numbers for UFO sitings is 23% of Americans (usually single middle-aged men living with their elderly parents...or the typical democrat)....well below the last poll numbers for W.....although less people approve of The Democrat Congress than believe they have seen a UFO......

23% have seen UFO's......11% approve of The Democrat Congress job....Mmmmm...

Yep....Roswell conspiracy believers, little-green men believers....(gee, I hope Kucinich wasn't probed or anything), and this is what plays for leadership?....

And Lucy complains about the founders', Thoreau's, Emerson's, Newton's and my belief in the supernatural?.....

I expect a complaint to the Kucinich for Prez HQ from you toute suite, Lucy!

Ho hum...back to the circular argument that never ends. I love the "you have no proof" one the best.

Posted by: at October 31, 2007 1:21 PM

No, Mike claims "Bush lied" but has no proof. And because he does not, it undermines his whole "I used to support Bush, but not anymore" script. Mike is a lefty idealogue whose whole mission is aping Olbermann-- hurl invective and smears at conservatives. Proof is not needed and opponents' pointed questions can be avoided by simply saying that cogent arguments are "discredited conservative talking points" rather than actually attempting any sort of rebuttal. Mike is in over his head.

"Do you have any proof" that Bush lied is one of the most disingenuous arguments of them all that come from the right.

Either you have been paying attention to current events for at least the last years, or you haven't.

If you haven't, I see no reason why you would be professing any opinion at all about anything.

If you have, then you either believe Bush lied (many times, as I do), or you accept all the little excuses as to why each and every incident does not itself rise to the level of "proof" of a lie. No, anon, Bush has not been convicted in a court of law of lying, and probably won't be, but I know lies when I hear them...while you accept all the excuses and apologies to the contrary because you just can't bring yourself to accept the fact that your president lies.

What you have is blind faith....and it's not pretty.

    Suit yourself!

One example: I posted "proof" that Bush lied in his 2000 campaign earlier today when he promised that he was not a nation builder. He LIED!

For all you people who can't come up with an argument other than asking for "proof" regarding things that are public record, what are you asking me to do?....'Prove' to you he said that? If you don't know he said that, then you have no business arguing on a political blog. If you do know he said that, as you should, then it becomes nothing more than an exercise in semantics for you.

He promised he would not nation build, and then he turned around and attempted the most ambicious nation building exercise since Vietnam. In other words....he LIED!

But that's just one out on many.

Did the words "I will not nation build" cause the war. As your original claim stated that "his lies led us to war" wasn't it? Or, has that changed?

So you liberals are against nation building now? So we should just pull everybody out of Iraq right now and just let the place fall apart? Is that what you want?

"So you liberals are against nation building now?....

    When were we for it?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So we should just pull everybody out of Iraq right now and just let the place fall apart?"....

Ah, the only HONEST question about the war, since going in was obviously a colossal blunder to everyone but the most blind partisan.

That said James, there is NO proof whatsoever that "the place will fall apart" any further than it is when we leave.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    "Is that what you want?"

It already fell apart. Where have you been James?

RK, GWB followed in some illustrious footsteps.

FDR promised to keep us out of the war raging in Europe and simmering in the Pacific region while machinating behind the curtain to wage virtual war. I revere him for that. Pearl Harbor was the starting gun.

GWB didn't play the same games because the times were not equivalent..

911 happened and he heard the starting gun just as FDR did.

We had options in WWII. If FDR had kept his promises we would have turned our back on England and not challenged Japan's thrust to hegemony.

Even after Pearl Harbor we could have backed down and withdrew from the Pacific with reassurances that Japan had unfettered access to China, Korea, the Phillipines etc.

What world does one live in that every intention is written in stone no matter what happens to change the landscape drastically.
