On Monday night's program, the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann named Michael Medved "worst person" (Blue Blog Source: Daily Kos, Keith's favorite charity). Edward R Olbermann claimed that, based on this column, Mr Medved was a defender of slavery.
On the radio Tuesday afternoon, Michael Medved returned fire, with both barrels:
Update: Link to Medved column fixed.
Another example of an Olbermann lie for Blindrat. Thanks for the audio Johnny$. It’s funny how Michael Medved points out that Keith can't even get Civil War history correct. Keith throws around "facts" about the Civil War and makes himself look like a fool. Here is a tip for Keith, when you are going to attack someone about a subject you have absolutely no knowledge of; you might want to brush up on the facts first
Absolutely priceless.
Michael Medved said if KO had read the entire article, his lips would have gotten tired.
Grammie
Great clip!
Medved proves exactly why Olbermann never has on an opposing voice.
Just proves that liberal pundits feed off the idiocy of their minions. Read the article. It does not defend slavery. But KeithO didn't read it. He took sections out of context and presented them as facts that prove the right as bad.
And the left won't read the article. They just follow the other lemmings that tell them how to feel.
Either Keith is an idiot incapable of reading or understanding the article OR he is a liar. Pick the trait that endears you to this MSNBC freak loons.
It will be interesting to see if any Olbermann defenders even try to address this latest gaffe....Medved is excellent in showing Olbermann as the following.....
Olbermann was mistaken factually about Civil War history
Olbermann has a smaller audience than himself
Olbermann has no expertise for doing what he is doing
Olbermann suffers the common PARTISAN ailment of assuming their opponents are something they are not
Olbermann is out of his league.
I will be very surprised if we see a defensive post on this thread. Olbermann's words are not defensable.
Thanks J$...great clip....Medved is very articulate and right 100%.
LLARRY, nice defense of Olbermann's mangling of history.....
"Mike, you heard about Appommatox Courthouse, Jefferson Davis getting arrested and stuff?"
###
Yes, the partisan's small audience is enough for the distant third ranked MSNBC to keep him on the air misinforming the leftist drones who enjoy the echochamber.....
Those of us who can think critically will do just fine no matter what the future holds, as we always have. This reality is what makes America great.
"Hope you don't sprain a wrist patting yourself on the back"

That's 1 Olbermann defender who passed on trying to defend the man.....Anyone else like to admit defeat?
Oh by the Olbyloons are trying to defend him by doing what they do best, insult, try to change the subject, avoid discussing the initial issue(s) raised, or just avoid this thread altogether. That's what they do the best afterall.
Lil Larry, with the color commentary that adds nothing. Care to defend your hero's ignorance? He is the hero of the dumb!
"Ohmygod, Keith said Medved is a racist so he must be."
Run lemmings, run!
Of course he won't go on any show that may cause him to explain himself. He wouldn't have Media Matters sitting next to him to tell him what to say. Could you imagine a one on one with him on the Factor? Bill would eat him alive. Keith knows he is inferior and it drives him nuts. I would love to see a televised live debate between the two. But Bill is right to ignore him. It is doing much more damage to Keith that way.
Are Keith's parents brother and sister?
His reasoning is seriously restricted and his depth of knowledge is saucer like.
Tim.
The only way the liberal demigod would debate anybody of substance, is if they let him refer to the blue blogs before each topic. He is a parrot of the blogs.
The one night I decide to not watch Olbermann (after catching a few snipets)---no recap...aarrrggghh!
I did catch Chrissy Matthews pimping his book saying you always gotta go after the "top guys" to be successful---then went on to say that is why he admires Keith for going after Bill O'Reilly. And drooled how he included it as an example in his book. (Of course Olbermann demured a great thanks)
What is pathetic is just a few months ago, Tweety trivalized Olbermann's attacks on O'Reilly saying HE (Matthews) goes after the "real" guys in "real" power like Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc. Now, he admires Keith...what a f*cking ratings whore Matthews has become....
I've watched Olbermann off and on or semi-regularly for the past 5 or 6 years so I may be mistaken.
Has he ever invited a person who he has criticized onto the show to defend themselves? Or to discuss his criticism?
If indeed Olbermann is so brilliant and witty and sharp, it would be at the least interesting to see him cross swords with some of these people he attacks. My guess is that it would significantly increase ratings.
And, let's face it, whether its O'Reilly or Olbermann or the man-in-the-moon, this is a ratings based industry.
C'mon Keith, get in the ring with these terrible people. Save America!!
Olbermahnadinejad's a hack
As a journalist, he defines slack
Off the blue blogs he'll feed
It's all "lift and read"
Like a hypocrite: Pot-kettle-black
Krazy Keith is an expert on war
Funny, he's never been there before
But he'll criticize
And spew many lies
He's NBC's nasty little whore
Hey Lefties!
Look at this website!
Olbermann is very well liked by the Islamists!
http://www.umarlee.com
i EXPECT AN ON AIR SUICIDE ANY DAY FROM ONE OF THESE LOONEY LEFTIES. IT'S THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN TOP THEIR LATEST SPLATTER OF THE DISTORTION OF THE TRUTH.
Only a coward would deliver criticism couched as "fact" and then hide from the person he/she accused in the criticism.
Grow a pair, Keith.
Keith Olberman is a left wing Zombie.
BRAINS! BRAINS!!!! He has none and he wants to eat yours!! HA!
What was that video about when "ambused by a producer of Fox News?" Keith hunched over digging through his car--can his brain injury allow him to drive?
His tries to spout some kind of quote from something your English teacher would demand you memorize to off set the interview from O'Reilly. OK, don't get it.
Then Keith rant is beeped (because he's cursing ha, ha) and grabs the camera in an attempt to strangle the cameraman. Ha ha! Not funny. What was journalistic about that?
There is nothing a sactimonious idiot does better than taking things said by his obvious superiors, out of context. Witness the idiot disparaging his obvious superiors, Michael Medved, Bill O'Reilley, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Michelle Malkin etc.
Nothing pisses off a sanctimonious idiot more than being ignored by his his obvious superiors, like those named, above. (judged by rating week after week, month after month, year after year). Witness the idiot unable to have the dignity to answer silence with silence.
Nothing makes a sanctimonious idiot feeling better about himself than come up with such nonsensical crap, as "The Worst Person In The World" than naming someone, day after day for that honor, without having the honesty to look in the mirror.
Olbermann, if is wasn't for the Soros Money behind you you and your envious miserable tripe had been fhistory, long time ago.

LLARRY, I heard tape of Bill Clinton saying the following:
"Monica Lewinsky was a dry hole"
"Hilary was a meaty twenty one inches"
When Media Matters, or anyone else for that matter, takes lines from different parts of a show, different subjects withing a show, or series of shows, and strings them together as though they were one line, they are being taken out of context.
I know that Bill Clinton did not say those words in that order all at the same time. They were cut and pasted via audio tape or on a computer. I possess a little thing called "discernment". Maybe you ought to look into it rather than backing up obvious out of context "quotes".
I wouldn't tolerate similar smears and I wouldn't expect anyone to back me up if I tried to do such an underhanded stunt.
Besides, people don't like it when grown men whine all the time.

What's you excuse, "llllllarry?"
Did anyone see the part of last night's show when Rachel Maddow was on and talking about how Clear Channel had to decide if Rush was a big enough asset to keep on the air or if he should go the way of Imus? Olby ends the segment with this little gem (paraphrasing): "I thought you were going to say another word instead of asset, I wished you had" or something to that effect.
Yep, that's some great journalism there Olby. Edward R. Murrow would be proud. No bias to see here, please move along. Who knew that inventing new ways of calling a home run on a highlight reel would be the training ground for the greatest broadcast journalist of our time?
This should put on the OW masthead:

I'm just glad someone watches Keith so I don't have to.
9.11 was a Karl Rove conspiracy. Diebold will steal the next election for Bush. Saint Keith Olberman speaks truth to power. Thats why the corporate mainstreamedia are afraid of St. Keith.. he is a brave person.. you are a rascist. There is no America, just one world, one peice... we need to be respectful of Muslims.. if they want to kill us, we need to respect that, since its their culture... be more tolerant... Che was right... bring down capitalism, everything should be free, jobs are slavery... there is no Osmama... its all a conspiracy! Wake up America... join the UN
Medved is very articulate and right 100% = (cee) enjoy(ing)the echochamber

That's #2 Olbermann defender who passed on trying to defend the man.....Anyone else like to admit defeat?
Context shmontext, Olbermann *lied* in saying Medved "defended slavery". I thought a couple of Medved's points were silly or incorrect but to read it and find a defense of slavery requires some bizarre level of reading comprehension that would make 2nd grade teachers cringe.
You are making the incorrect assumption that Keith actually read Medved's artical. He did not. He read what Media Matters posted about Medved's artical. It would take and honest person to actually read an artical before they attack it.
So the American people are too stupid to watch Olbermann so they watch O'Reilly but they are "smart enought" to elect Democrats to the White House and Senate. Not quite seeing the logic in that statment. How can Olbermann be the most respected if no one watches his show? Don't people need to know he exist before they can respect him?
Krazy Keith stole "good night and good luck"
Murrow'd call Keith a cowardly fuck
Ed rolls in his grave
On Countdown he'd waive
Jackie Mason called Olby a "schmuck"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joQ0SHEXbzk
Olbermann was awarded "The Edward R. Murrow" award for journalistic excellence...what has Hannity, O'Reilly or Gibson ever won?

Thanks, dick! Oh, Beck rules!
Richard wake up you delusional socialist piece of shit....for you are the enemy within.may you rot in hell with Muhammad and your terrorist liberal pals....
Richard is.....
#3 Olbermann defender who passed on trying to defend the man.....Anyone else like to admit defeat?
> I believe Murrow hated McCarthy. I think Olbermann and Murrow would have gotten along just fine.
Yeah, your beliefs are really what the world is waiting for. Hey Einstein, Murrow invited McCarthy ONTO HIS SHOW! Murrow believed in not just giving one side of the story night after night. When has Oralmann EVER had any of the people he attacks on his show to give their side? Here's a hint: NEVER.
It's safe to say if Edward R Murrow were alive to hear Olbermoronn, he'd turn over in his grave.
Hey I like what LLARRY says -
damn Soros
and
the great Conservative
and
the great Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Medved
keep up the good work LLARRY
Olbermann's show has been on for under five years...
Meltdown has been on for 5 years, Olbermann has been on Cable for much much longer and he still has no "fan base". As for his show being "calculus", he covers stories on Spears and Hilton on a nightly basis. He also just proved he has no knowledge of the Civil War. I think that makes him far from calculus, maybe he is the art of counting to 10.
yep he is a retard
his 6 reasons
1. SLAVERY WAS AN ANCIENT AND UNIVERSAL INSTITUTION, NOT A DISTINCTIVELY AMERICAN INNOVATION.
2. SLAVERY EXISTED ONLY BRIEFLY, AND IN LIMITED LOCALES, IN THE HISTORY OF THE REPUBLIC – INVOLVING ONLY A TINY PERCENTAGE OF THE ANCESTORS OF TODAY’S AMERICANS.
3. THOUGH BRUTAL, SLAVERY WASN’T GENOCIDAL: LIVE SLAVES WERE VALUABLE BUT DEAD CAPTIVES BROUGHT NO PROFIT.
4. IT’S NOT TRUE THAT THE U.S. BECAME A WEALTHY NATION THROUGH THE ABUSE OF SLAVE LABOR: THE MOST PROSPEROUS STATES IN THE COUNTRY WERE THOSE THAT FIRST FREED THEIR SLAVES
5. WHILE AMERICA DESERVES NO UNIQUE BLAME FOR THE EXISTENCE OF SLAVERY, THE UNITED STATES MERITS SPECIAL CREDIT FOR ITS RAPID ABOLITION.
6. THERE IS NO REASON TO BELIEVE THAT TODAY’S AFRICAN-AMERICANS WOULD BE BETTER OFF IF THEIR ANCESTORS HAD REMAINED BEHIND IN AFRICA.
Richard tells it like it is, you ignirant neo-cons. Olbermann's ratings prove that he has a more itelligent audience and O"Riley's higher ratings show his audience is a bunch of morons. Olbermann has the experts like John Dean, Areanna Huffington and Craig Crawford to show that you neo-cons are assholes.
You should listen to Blind Rat when he tells you that you can't show Olbermann is lying. This deal with Medved is a total joke. Medved didn't come right out and defend slavery, but he did say stuff to make it sound like slavery wasn't that bad, so Medved really was defending it. There's no lying by Keith, just a bunch of neocons trying to provide a cover your ass excuse for one of their favorite "yes men" to keep spewing hate. You neo-cons must be really proud.
ignirant!
Now thats a hoot!
Richard you have a fan!
A smart olbermann loving fan.
Way to show us the colors of a true KO fan.
You just made my day idiots!
Richard posts and then replies to his own post. That pretty pathetic.
experts like John Dean and Areanna Huffington
That is the funniest thing I have read all day. The felon and the blogger = experts. LOL.
And now Richard can't read his own fan's writings!
"Ignirant" is what your people call the rights
as well as calling themselves "more itelligent"
Check out the 4:45 post.
And if your are too stupid to see the irony in
someone (who has less a grasp of the english
language than you) calling the righties ignorant
without having a clear ability to spell, you are
more stupid than your fan.
In case you aren't catching on yet, Richard, stupid
reads as stoopid at Huffington Post.
"Ever get the feeling that republicans don't want to go on Olbermann?"
What republicans have ever been invited on Olbermann's show?
"Ever get the feeling that instead of have 3,4,5, or 6 people screaming at the same time, Keith would rather say, "Wow, look the Republicans are defending Rush"
Edward R. Murrow had and interview with McCarthy one on one. When has Keith had any of the people he has attacked on his show one on one? Never.
johnny, come on now. Richard is right on the money. You don't think Murrow ever told a guest that he wished that guest had called someone he disagreed with an ass____. You don't remember Murrow imploring the president to resign (while constantly referring to him as "Mr.") or making a Nazi salute to disparage someone he disagreed with. How about Murrow slandering a commanding four-star general who was unanimously confirmed during a time of war and then trying to pin it on a rival that he didn't like. I'm certain Murrow must have used liberal blogs as his primary source when reporting on McCarthy or others that he criticized. These are the hallmarks of great journalism and is why Olby is obviously so respected.
Conservatives are just not intelligent or educated enough to understand such nuanced reporting. Olby and Dan Rather both won the Murrow Award but Olby could really teach Rather a thing or two. Dan should not have made up a story about Bush when there is Media Matters and others that will do that for you. If they are wrong, you just say that you weren't the one to first report it and that way you can still get your Bush jab in and not suffer any consequences. Dan also didn't understand the power of the Special Comment. All you need to do is go on a nonsensical rant that on the surface is addressed directly to the President while making sure to furrow your brow and pop out your veins in order to let the audience knows just how serious of a journalist you really are. If you really want to get creative, your program can smear err... report on someone on a night that you have off so you can claim no responsibility. Olby is the new Murrow of our time and his audience are only the high-brow, high achievers that are going to make America a great socialist nation under the leadership of President Hillary Clinton. We will finally be able to join all of the other great socialist nations such as ... um, um .... hang on. I'll get back to you on that one. OLBY RULES!!!
Before I start riddle me this Dick
If Stalin was to “the left”, and Hitler was to “the right”, to whom do you feel closer?
++++++++
1.. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism – Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
Remind me not to look at the flags that were/are ubiquitous in NoKo, PRC, former USSR.Haven’t seen any “government approved or written songs”
2.. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights – Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to ‘look the other way’ of even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
Oh, so Uncle Joe, Pol Pot, Mao, and Kim Jong Il were great supporters of Human Rights”?
3.. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause – The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe; racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists; terrorists, etc.
You mean like the “Great Satan”, “Capitalist Running Dogs”, “Zionist Pigs”
4.. Supremacy of the Military – Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
Read the Constitution lately - the existance of the military is an enumerated power of Congress. And as long as we have the concept of a nation-state, who do you expect to defend it?
5.. Rampant Sexism – The government if fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.
You mean like calling Ann Coulter a transsexual - I thought “Progressives” were tolerant of GLBTs Wonder how many gays are in power in the PRC, or NoKo?
6.. Controlled Mass Media – Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or through sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in wartime, is very common.
You mean the censorship or the DailyKOS, Huffington Poset MediaMatters, rawstory.com, trouthout.com, NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Boston Globe, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC
7.. Obsession with National Security – Fear is used as a motivation tool by the government over the masses.
In 1979, Iran declared war on the US -has been at war ever since, but don’t let reality get in the war of your opinions
8.. Religion and Government are Intertwined – Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government’s policies or actions.
This is, by fact of majority identification, a Christian country with a secular government. As a Jew, I haven’t received the message that I have to worship Jesus
9.. Corporate Power is Protected – The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders in power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
“When buying and selling are controlled by legislation, the first thing to be bought and sold are legislators” —PJ O’Rourke
10.. Labor Power is Suppressed – Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely or are severely suppressed.
The labor union with the most growth is AFSCME
11.. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts – Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.
Express what you want, but don’t express a free ride or no consequences, and don’t suck on the public tit
12.. Obsession with Crime and Punishment – Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses, and even forego civil liberties, in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
Can’t wait for Pres Hillary to roll back the FISA legislation, or Pres Barack to limit the FBI
13.. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption – Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions, and who use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability.
You mean like Marc Rich?
14.. Fraudulent Elections – Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against (or even the assassination of) the opposition candidates, the use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and the manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.
You mean like the Gore instituted lawsuit? You mean like telling blacks and seniors that their lives are over if Republicans are elected? And on, and on, and on...
Richard, take a breath bro. MM takes more opposing callers on his show than any other talk show host, period. And he gives them ample time to express their views. A little yelling but not too bad. All in all, a good exchange of views. KO pontificates to the faithful, folks like you. He's a modern day preacher at the alter of secularism. that's fine, the rightwing has those too. Question is, who do you want to listen to if you want to expand your mind? You can go one way or the other Richard. The path you take will determin what happens in your head. Open mind or closed. Choose wisely bro.
You neo-cons are really lame. You jump on my mispeling of ignorant and think that proves that Olbermann is better. O Riley is afraid of Olbermann. Olbermann told a story when he was on Leno that one time he and O'Riley were at a party and Olbermann kept loooking over at him and O Riley WOULD'NT EVEN LOOK AT HIM! Man, I was really proud of Keith for showing O'Riley who is the man.
You neocons know that Medved defends slavery and Keith tells the truth when he says that Medved defends slavery and that ORiley defends Nazis. Let's face it, that's just the way neo-cons are, sub-human and don't care about if people die and get hurt. It's like Olbermann said on his show to Eugene Robinson last week, Republican neo-cons want to bring back segregation and have plans to get rid of judges who won't do this. The way neo-cons like war and killing people, the judges who belive in civil rights better get extra security to keep the GOP from carrying out thier plan. Olby has got his sources and I'm glad he reveals news like this when others are too afraid.
Keep it up, Richard, don't let them intimidate you!
Idiot noname- if you can't spell you don't have a leg to stand when you claim your side is smarter. Its more moronic than ironic!
Olby tells the truth. Medved defends slavery because he is a NEOCON. Creepy LIAR!!
i would pummel your sad looking face spit-rant-boy!
Hiding behind your fake name
Post an email puss.
Considering Bush won't even go on NPR unless he's getting interviewed by Juan Williams and he needs his crowds pre-screened at rallys....yeah, he's probably beating down the door to get at Olbermann.
Michael Medved was attacked by Olbermann and he challenged Olbermann to a debate. When did Keith accept?
Hillary Clinton sure does a lot of hard hitting interviews.
So does Barak, with his Oprah interview and his hard hitting Tyra Banks interview.
Let's look a this line by line:
And here's something else for you pieces of shit:
1.. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism – Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
So saluting the flag, displaying the flag and singing the national anthem are bad. Tell that to any veteran you troll.
The US has done MORE for human rights than any single country in the world. How many have died thanks to your beloved socialist regines? How many have died thanks to your vaunted Casto? How many have died in the USSR or China? You want to talk about human rights violations, just talk to any Pole, Czech or Hungarian.
3.. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause – The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe; racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists; terrorists, etc.
A little projection here? Fox news, Rush, Ann Coulter, all the enemy, according to a liberal. They are worst than al-Qeda. And religion, Except for Muslim radicals, Religions just do not exist in the liberal utopia.
4.. Supremacy of the Military – Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
They are none more glamorized than in Socialist countries.
However, thanks to the military and the lives of countless Americans, you can actually say this sputum and not go off to the gulag or the gas chambers. We get it, you hate the military
5.. Rampant Sexism – The government if fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.
Gee, Bush has more females in his administration than did Billy Jeff. And he hasn't been accused of raping a single one.
6.. Controlled Mass Media – Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or through sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in wartime, is very common.
Liberals try to control the media more than any conservative. Why all the fuss about Rush Limbaugh, Fox news, The Americna Thinker? I see so much effort into spreading lies about these institutions by liberal groups than from any conservative group. Funny Fox has never been caught making up stories and yet NBC, CNN and CBS have all been caught red handed. And Let's not get into the NY Times. They have to print retractions nearly weekly. Censorship in warime is necessary because you don't want to give away secrets to you enemy. Your Sainted FDR enacted alot of censorship, far more than your hated Bush. I guess it is OK if a Democrat engages in Censorship. What of harry Reid and his assinine letter to Clear Channel? Isn't he trying to censor Rush Limbush???
7.. Obsession with National Security – Fear is used as a motivation tool by the government over the masses.
Would you prefer more 9/11's to happen or don 't you think it cna't happen again. bin Laden, by HIS OWN WORDS says he wants more 9/11's to happen. do you think kissing his ass and giving him a lewinsky will make him change his mind??
Let's see. Number of times Clinton turned paramilitary organizations onto his own people 2. number of times Bush has done it 0.
seems Billy Jeff and Lady McBubba fit that description best.
8.. Religion and Government are Intertwined – Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government’s policies or actions.
So you make Global warming and other environmental myths the state religion. You take away God and replace it with the religion of secularism. The Russians tried it in 1917
9.. Corporate Power is Protected – The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders in power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10.. Labor Power is Suppressed – Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely or are severely suppressed.
Oh I get it, you are a socialist. Big business bad, corrupt, organized crime run labor unions, good.
If it weren't for big business, you'd be in a coal mine some place digging anthrocite with your hands, genius.
11.. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts – Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.
A crucifix in a jar of piss is NOT art. Where is it written in the constitution that I have to support some drugged out psuedo artist in his "art"?
College is the biggest suppresor of free speech that I have ever seen. Just try to listen to conservative radio there. or say you support the NRA. These so called intellectuals you love so much a) cannot stand to be challenged and b) hate any opposing points of view.
12.. Obsession with Crime and Punishment – Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses, and even forego civil liberties, in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
You quote your commie professors so well.I get it, America is bad. we suck. so, please, leave, move to Cuba or Iran.
13.. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption – Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions, and who use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability.
Again that sounds alot like Billy Jeff and Lady McBubba.
Sounds exactly like the Clinton administration. How many have they tried to destroy? 500 FBI files in their grubby little hands??
Let's see, how many Democrat districts have been bagged trying to rig elections vs republicans? Didn't ACT get caught trying to register dead people? Tammany Hall was
run by Democrats
By your own words, it is the Democrats who are the Facists.

"Michael Medved was attacked by Olbermann and he challenged Olbermann to a debate. When did Keith accept?"
There's nothing to debate. Olbermann turned down the neo-cons debate offer because everyone knows that the Neocon Medved showed his true colors by saying that slavery was not that a big a deal.
I wish there were more white men like Olbermann that would not tolerate bigotry rather than white men like Medved who support bigotry and do not know what its like to be oppressed.
I wish there were more white men like Olbermann that would not tolerate bigotry rather than white men like Medved who support bigotry and do not know what its like to be oppressed.
Chicken and Waffles Olbermann doesn't support bigotry? Try again. Just because your mom makes you pay rent doesn't me you are "oppressed".
So much anger Richard? And threats? You've listed too much for me to respond to. I imagine there are topics that we may agree upon as well as those we don't. Thing is, you have to ask yourself what it is you want to do with this oportunity to express yourself? Convince others to your point of view? Denegrate those with opposing views? State the facts as you see them? But look, I would not use Hannity as a source. He's a preacher dude! MM...not so much. Good luck on your quest!
And no name, I can't spell either.
"...everyone knows that the Neocon Medved showed his true colors by saying that slavery was not that a big a deal."
he never said that

I have stated before, if Bathtub-boy had any balls, he would have who ever he named as worst person in the world, on the show the next week. However, he is nothing but a little cunt!

Olby speaks truth to power, neo-con. if Olby says Medved dfended slavery, he defended slavery. Olbermann does not back down, he punches up. That's why you neocons are afraid of him. Olby can teach you something if you would open up your closed neo-con mind rather than listen to slave defenders like Neocon Medved.
O'Reilly labeled someone a 'Patriot' last night just for watching.
Today, Hannity said he isn't hungry for power like the Democrats, but then without even drawing a breath said he 'Wished he could make you listen to his show three hours a day."
What's next? If you don't watch Fox, you're helping the terrorists?
The OP needs to be fixed- the link to the medved column brings up a different one entirely.
Richard tells it like it is. Saluting the flag and being proud of this country is for losers becuase we are the ones who torture and and do renditions. Haven't you noticed all the movies coming out of Hollywood that denounce the Iraq war? That shows that iraq is a quagmire.
The right wingers control the media and the messages it puts out. The smart people recognize this and listen to Olberman who tells the truth.
Thanks Richard, I'm sure everyone enjoyed your incoherent rambling punctuated with "Kill Yourself" and "I'm uber-supreme and I own everyone because I'm not a big pussy"
Seriously though, don't give up on your education - that GED will come in handy one day. Feel free to post back some ridiculous story about how you have a college degree and a great job and a Benz and how everyone thinks you're totally hot though. I wouldn't begrudge a mildly retarded human being a little fantasy no matter how foul you are.
Ouch - looks like you got owned.
Yawn
Seriously though, have a GREAT day :)
Edward R. Morrow challenged Joseph McCarthy to a debate. McCarthy excepted.
The rest is history.
Michael Medved challenged the School-yard bully, Edward R. Moron to a debate. And the school-yard bully RAN AGAIN!
"There's nothing to debate. Olbermann turned down the neo-cons debate offer because everyone knows that the Neocon Medved showed his true colors by saying that slavery was not that a big a deal."
I guess you didn't read the whole article did you? Well ANON when you get lead around by a Moron.........
This Sunday, Oct. 7: Michael will be debating Susan Estrich about the 2008 Election! 7:00pm, Temple Beth David in Westminster, CA.
Why look at this! Mr. Medvid will be debating Ms. Estrich! And wasn't that a picture of Michael with Al Frankin?
Interesting
Truth be known kiddies, if we were to break open Keith's head and take out his brain and place it on an 'old-style razor blade'.
It would look like a BB rolling down a four lane highway.
Face it kids! The guy can't even hold his own on Sunday nights with football jocks.
Here's another good one!
"I wish there were more white men like Olbermann that would not tolerate bigotry rather than white men like Medved who support bigotry and do not know what its like to be oppressed?"
Keith is down with the struggle?
Do Tell!
If I posted something like that I would post as ANON too!
Something tells me that 'FAT ASS' struggles to get out of bed, and struggles to walk to the door of his apartment. And, struggles to bend over to pick up his copy of 'The New York Times'. If fact it's probably such a struggle to pick up the Sunday Edition, he has Katie do it.
Again, ANON when you get lead around by a moron.....
"Olby tells the truth. Medved defends slavery because he is a NEOCON. Creepy LIAR!!"
They point to Medved's words and try to prove he's wrong. And then they point to his words and say they are lies.
Well, which is it?
Again, ANON when you get lead around by a moron.....
Then again, Jim Jones did get all those people to drink that kool-aid. So I guess there are people out there that think Olby is going to lead them to the promised land?
Scary! VERY SCARY!
Hey pal, at this point the question isn't did you finish school. The question is, did you ever set foot in a school?
This next one is the best!
"BECAUSE I AM YOUR SUPERIOR!!!
Now please, go kill yourselves. Do the world a favor, and kill yourselves.
Why aren't you all killing yourselves?"
Nah! we're just gona sit around and wait for you to start the ovens.
Okay Adolf?
What a Dick! I mean Richard.

This blind attacking is totally pointless. Let's start looking at the facts!
Dick is short for Richard isn't it? Enough said.
Some anonymous moonbat spewed: "Olbermann has the experts like John Dean, Areanna Huffington..."
What a hoot. "Legal expert" John Dean is a disbarred attorney and convicted felon. I'm not sure Ms Huffington qualifies as an expert on anything... she has a blog?
"if Olby says Medved dfended slavery, he defended slavery."
That has to be one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time--It almost sounds biblical.
Wonderful challenge from Medved. I read his article earlier today, and all people who bash the US should read it also.
The Dick and the Chicken Blogger, who probably has no name because he can't remember how spell it from one minute to the next, is a match that must have been made in heaven.
Grammie
Anonymous bloggers, which you so cleverly label Chicken Bloggers (while taking exception to you and your friends being called Chicken Hawks) are often anonymous because they don't want nasty old women stalking them.
Richard,
why do you support ythe Iranian regime?
Well, dear, I put my real name out there on every post I make and I have managed to survive all kinds of stalkers. They have been, as far as I can tell male, female, sheits*, young and old.
Chicken blogger or Chicken Hawk describes them to a tee. Anyone hiding out from one little old gray haired lady surely deserves the honorific of 'CHICKEN'.

Thanks, Grammie, but that award has your name on it from your recent appeals to Mike's much self-proclaimed humanity.
Keith Olbermann is a know-nothing liberal mouthpiece for the far, far, far, far, far, far left (you know, Hillary's wing). It's incredible how dumb the left is - if you hate America so much, why do you stay here? Go to Canada and wait for Sharia law and the coran to be your guide a loving fruitful headless life.

Mike,
The concept of "cheap labor" does not really appeal to me. The term "open borders" reminds me of the old George Carlin joke about words that do not go together.

It might not surprise you to know I think we'd be far better off today if we had lacked a foreign defense for the last six years, since GWB has had definite problems differentiating defense from offense.

Is Rush Limbaugh man enough to accept Staff Sgt McGough's challenge? There's a silly fucking question!
http://www.csmonitor.com/2007/1004/p99s01-duts.html
A good analysis below of the Limbaugh comment. Limbaugh could have avoided the whole issue had he interjected after the caller's comment and gave the example then. The fact that this is live should be taken into account. If you believe this analysis, then there is no reason for any real soldier, i.e., one who actually serves(d) to take on Limbaugh.
A number of commentators and bloggers from both sides of the political divide have criticized Media Matters, the group that first publicized the transcript and attacked Limbaugh for his remarks, for focusing on only part of the transcript and thus misinterpreting the remarks. Dinesh D'Souza, a Rishwain fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, examines the transcript line by line in his AOL News blog.
The next caller, another Mike but this time from Olympia, Washington, informs Rush that as a 14 year active duty army officer he supports Bush. Then he says of the left, "What's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers out that come up out of the blue and talk to the media." Rush responds, "The phony soldiers." The caller adds, "If you talk to a real soldier, they are proud to serve." Now clearly the caller thinks that all real soldiers support the war, and this is clearly untrue. Surveys show high degrees of military support for Bush, especially among those who have served in Iraq, but even if 75 percent of the troops supports Bush, that still means 25 percent do not.
Who was Rush referring to when he made the reference to "phony soldiers"? Did he mean all soldiers who oppose the Iraq war? The context leaves this ambiguous. But later in the show Rush clarified. He gave an example of a phony soldier who reported atrocities in Iraq until it emerged that the fellow was never in Iraq. There have been several other cases of phony information attributed to military sources. The New Republic printed horror stories from Iraq penned by a pseudonymous writer identified as "Scott Thomas." Turns out his full name is "Scott Thomas Beauchamp" and that much of what he said is either exaggerated or fabricated. When Beauchamp's fellow soldiers protested that the events he described simply could not have happened, the New Republic launched its own investigation, still ongoing.
Sharon, you are categorically brainwashed.
The words are right there in your own post, and your eschew Occam's Razor in favor of DeSouza'a Corkskrew.
Limbaugh was talking about the preceding caller who claimed to be a Republican veteran who opposed the war - and who Rush had declared on the basis of his opinions as being a liar ("nope, you can't be a Republican") - as well as about outspoken soldiers criticizing the war.
The next caller was the pro-war Iraq vet who shifted the subject of the conversation from being the previous caller to being all vocal anti-war vets in the media.
In this context, Limbaugh's clearly plural "the phony soldiers" has no possibility of referring to that one non sequitur counterfiet, at least not only him.
Hell, his response to Sgt McGough should tell you that he has no regard for servicepeople - at least not those who disagree with him. Rush stated that McGough's damaged head had been effortlessly filled with commie nonsense by nepharious agents of the left (who also happen to be Iraq vets, interestingly). But clearly the articulate Seargent has the wherewithall and experience to form his own opinions, far more than in the case for the deferred and oxy-soked Limbaugh.
This is what I said. I didn't take sides, but presented someone else's explanation. I also direct you to my comment on the other thread which in effect, points out that you are really Limbaugh, in selective support of soldiers.
I just read over the transcript.
CALLER: I used to be military, okay, and I am a Republican.
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: And I do listen to you, but --
RUSH: Right, I know. And I, by the way, used to walk on the moon.
There he is questioning the caller's authenticity that he "used to be in the military." Phony soldier, in other words. Other than that, Limbaugh spent time harassing the caller about not being a Republican, telling him his view was more democratic. The military issue was not the focus. Then the next caller came on and the caller made the suggestion about "real" soldiers initially with Limabaugh's controversial response of phony soldiers. The transcript shows this after the caller hung up:
"Here is a Morning Update that we did recently, talking about fake soldiers." It went on to give the example of Jesse Macbeth.
What would the context of the Morning Update be, then, if it weren't referring to Limbaugh's "phony soldiers" who spout off to the media?
I don't listen to Rush. I think he is ridiculous to believe that every soldier who is serving is in favor of the war. But it is clear he did not call soldiers who are against the war "phony soldiers."
"Why doesn't he pick Osama Bin Laden as the 'Worst Person in the World'?"
Um... because it's intended as a lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek way to bash big names in the media and there's nothing particularly funny about Bin Laden. Sheesh.
Medved might actually have one or two legitimate points buried in his diatribe, but they get lost because he's taking himself way too seriously. For example, it might be true that overall idea of his column was anti-slavery, but at the same time Olbermann was naming a few specific quotes which did at least sound like defenses - at least in terms of saying, "Well, black people today don't have it as bad as it would have been if they stayed in Africa." The fact that Medved circumvented that rather important point and didn't even address the section KO was quoting is pretty telling. At best, I call that a push.
Likewise, his dissection of KO's comments about the Civil War. He might have a couple of points about the order of things, but none of them seemed particularly relevant to KO's point. In fact, it kind of seemed like he was doing to KO exactly what he was accusing KO of doing to him. Again, at best a push.
Also this thing everyone does of saying, "I dare you to come on my show!" is getting old. How about asking if you can go on their show once in a while?
But for his main rant... bashing Ann Coulter: easy, but potentially funny. Or, if you prefer to pick a liberal, bashing George Soros: potentially funny. Bashing Bin Laden: not really funny.
Medved would have done much better if he didn't take himself so seriously.
