Should MSNBC choose partisans like Chris Matthews, not to mention the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann, to moderate political debates? Should water carriers for the left be asking the questions, formulating the follow-ups, particularly at a Republican debate? Why does MSLSD put on Democrat debates with Brian Williams and Tim Russert, while the GOP candidates keep getting stuck with Democrat Chris Matthews?
Anybody notice how Olbermann referred to Fox News yesterday " the WHOREHOUSE over at Fox noise". How low can this obscenity go?
Ratings. Why else would KO and MSNBC's liberal audience want to tune into the GOP debate unless they thought there would be some gotcha fireworks to be seen?
I think that Matthews has become more and more unhinged over the last year or so. He spews profanity and mean-spirited, hateful diatribes. He is becoming more and more like Olby.
Yes, explorer, he did. From the MSNBC transcript:
"The runner up tonight, Emmett Terrell Jr. (ph), the tedder in chief of lunatic fringe publication “American Spectator,” who visited the Fox News whore house to defend comedian Rush Limbaugh in the phony soldier cover up, insisting that Limbaugh‘s, quote, already apologized in the event he offended anyone. "
When I first searched for whorehouse it didn't come up. So I tried the search for whore. Sure enough, there it was. "the Fox News whore house".
I guess the expression just came to him naturally seeing that he is one the biggest PIMPS out there.
I wonder how he and his devotees would react if a Fox News host identified him as a PIMP?
Grammie
Chris Matthews si a shill for Iran.
He supports Ahmadinejad!
Matthews and Olbermann need to STFU! Not that I want to take away their right to freespeech, it's just that the feigned righteous indignation in their voices is really annoying.
Y'all know what I'm talkin' about, right?
PIP,
what's up!
Why does the Left support Iran?
Answer Olbyloons?
His voice and the creepy music is bad enough but nothing can compare to the asinine things he says.
His charming "whore house" comment was followed by this:
"
But our winners, the Republican National Committee, out today with the logo for its convention next summer in Minneapolis. OK, the elephant, one, appears to have racing stripes. Two, in this day of red states, Republican, blue states, Democrat, the elephant is blue. Number three, it is up on its hind legs. Trainers point out elephants are usually only up on their hind legs while having sex.
A fact that might be noted in the next year, since the arena in which the Republican convention is going to be convened is roughly seven miles west of the airport bathroom in which Senator Larry Craig was arrested. The RNC‘s design crew and the blue elephant with racing stripes reproducing, today‘s Worst Persons in the World. "
What kind of mind conjures up this crap? And what kind of person would put it out there for anyone and everyone to hear.
Grammie
Grammie,
"What kind of mind conjures up this crap? "
A traitor like Olbermann who supports the Iranian regime.
Olbermann wants Israel wiped out since he's an anti-Semite!
Hey, J!
It looks like NBC set up the Republican debate with one of the most anti-American anchors on their staff!
--------------------------------
Grammie,
Elephants also raise their front legs when they are about to squish open a ripe melon, or some other object. Perhaps Olby should get some first hand experience in these matters, it would add to his credibility!
Joker, why do you support Genocide?
Hmm... my link didn't work.
Here's the page I wanted to link to in my last comment.

We should have nothin g to do or support Iran?
Iran wants genocide!

Why don't you care that you're a complete fraud?
Oh dear...the anon poster at 3:26AM doesn't seem to notice that the Senate Democrats spent valuable time and effort writing a sternly worded letter that accomplished nothing substantive for the republic....it only makes flakes like him crazed and donate more hard-earned money to political campaigns...
This is why Elizabeth Edwards commented on it.....she is always fund raising....
I am sure Ann Coulter's new book will be a gold mine for the left's fund raising as well!
This is why MEDIMATTERS lied about the comment in the first place....it is a new cycle for fund raising and their candidates need new lines for their letters.
Oh, and all it also does is increase Limbaugh's audience and sponsorship because of his success in the ratings....so Edward's pseudoboycott tact is knowingly false....she knows Rush is the biggest media personality and will remain so.....she needs money for her husband's pathetic campaign.
So, once again, the fringe is lead around by the nose....Rush is unpatriotic and a drug user, send us your money!
All the while, President Bush continues leading the nation honorably and successfully, vetos legislation that would encourage more entitlement expectations, while the left wastes time on Limbaugh.....he continues the fight for freedom in Iraq without any threat of fund cuts and there is still NO mention of impeachment despite torture allegations, habeus corpus suspension and lies for war.....
Only a sternly worded letter this week from 41 democrats with nothing better to do for the nation! A letter that was rebuffed...oh another failure for the left's ruling elite!
he, he, he....
Oh....and the above was from my brain....not a cut and paste job from a blue propaganda blog.
Oh....and the above was from my brain....

Particularly the Truman Capote-esque "he, he, he....", I'm sure.
Oh dear, Sir Loin of Milquetoast's obsession with LGBT in the shadows continues!
he, he, he....oh dear!
Found it! CBS Evening News for Monday, Dec 27, 1971....Report on spitting incident:
Delmar Pickett, Junior, hero, returns from Vietnam reports on being spat upon to Morton Dean.
Also, posted accounts by Vietnam vets at:

###
I guess if absolute moral authority of a veteran applies to Limbaugh's phony soldier story....it applies to leftists spitting on our returning brave troops.....
We all know leftists like Loin and Mike are spitting on them figuratively at least. Now I provide the evidence that actual spitting occurred from the anti-war left before.....
and now.....
"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration's policies in Iraq. Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back." NYT 1/28/07
http://iraqnow.blogspot.com/2007/02/spitting-on-veterans.html
We can simply assume the media never interviewed people claiming spitting incidents, because.....oh well, I guess just saying it was a myth is easier....
And Sir Loin of Milquetoast, your chickenhawk argument does not apply to the reactions of some Iraqi soldiers when they say the following about people who believe as you do....
Washington Post columnists William Arkin lit a firestorm this week with an online piece criticizing American soldiers for speaking out against people who say they support the troops but not the war. It was in response to last Friday's NBC Nightly News report in which soldiers in Iraq had this to say about war critics:
"You may support or say we support the troops, but, so you're not supporting what they do, what they're here sweating for, what we bleed for, what we die for. It just don't make sense to me."
"[O]ne thing I don't like is when people back home say they support the troops, but they don't support the war. If they're going to support us, support us all the way."
"If they don't think we're doing a good job, everything that we've done here is all in vain."
Read it at.....
http://www.boundlessline.org/2007/02/violent_antiame.html
Saying that veteran-spitting was or is a characteristic of the anti-war movement is a myth. I do not dispute that some anecdotal incidents have occurred, but they in no way reflect the anti-war movement that I have been involved with or that is expressed publically by any of its spokespeople.
I would hazard the guess that documented media reports of Republicans sucking cock in public restrooms in recent yeas outnumber recorded, identifiable complaints of veteran-spitting from all American wars combined. Are you willing to characterize your own party based on such evidence?
"Are you willing to characterize your own party based on such evidence?"
###
No, but you seem to.
The claim by the left is that NO spitting occurred.....It did and veterans from the era say it did. Who would do such a thing? Only rabid anti-war radicals like yourself who see no honor in the mission to protect people's freedom of religion and thought against totalitarians....be they leftists like yourself in the case of Vietnam, or theocrats with dark skin in a region you feel no connection to because it is filled with people who believe there is a God....oh and the anti-Semitism of the left also influences their irritability about fighting against their ally in the destruction of Israel.
No Loin, I am in support of finding the truth and the truth is there were many incidents of mistreatment of returning troops from Vietnam with "baby killer," spitting and other unpleasantries. Leftist authors and historiams claim it did not happen or even spout conspiracy theories that it was the right infiltrating their ranks! Please....evidence?
Until the left faces and apologizes for their anti-American and anti-troop behavior in the Vietnam era, they will not earn an ounce of respect while they try to do the same thing again with Iraq. And those who choose to ignore the radicals do so at their own peril because one bad apple poisons the whole bunch.
"If they don't think we're doing a good job, everything that we've done here is all in vain."
Whoever this soldier is, and whatever he thinks he's doing for his country, he is wrong.
Take this statement and analyze its logic: he is saying that the validity of his mission depends on our impression of it. That in itself is an admission that the mission has no valid real-world objective - that it can only be a public relations game. This is very sad, if our military training is instilling this sort of rationalization in our troops.
America's military does not exist as a vehicle by which young men can earn personal honor and glory in battle - it exists to protect our society from real threats.
"The claim by the left is that NO spitting occurred."
Isn't it remarkable that the Left ends up saying whatever Phari-cee thinks it should? - at least in Phari-cee's little Truman Capote mind.
No, "spitting" as an institutional characteristic of the anti-war movement is a myth, and a slander used by cornered war-mongers. But does anyone say that NO spitting ever ocurred? I've never seen that stated, except when Phari-cee states it for us.
Phari-cee forgets that the Church Commission revealed evidence that federal agents used agents provocatuers - undercover as protesters - to develop this belief in the national consciousness during the Vietnam war to discredit the left - so clearly some "spitting" did occur, just from the pro-war side.
Oh yes, Sir Loin of Milquetoast defines what the automaton soldier is supoosed to view his role as....sounds very Stalinesque to me, Loin...
"America's military does not exist as a vehicle by which young men can earn personal honor and glory in battle - it exists to protect our society from real threats."
###
I see...thank you for your narcissistic and sterile view of a man or woman's sacrifice for your family and mine! I am sure it will make a very nice song for the Gentile, Bruce Springsteen!
And your other point....a man by the name, Jerry Lembcke, claims the incidients told by hundreds of vets in the 1970's were MYTH. What does that mean, Loin? Myth. Just like you call Jehovah a myth, I interpret this as saying it does not exists....or NO spitting....
Again, I have shown documented cases....even a CBS News report from Morton Dean that showed anti-war protestors spitting on returning soldiers....no proof exists that these specific individuals were "men in black," like your paranoid ilk like to be scared of....
Oh well...rational debate falls by the wayside for Loin when it involves bad behavior by him and his anti-American collegues. I read Lembcke's book, "The Spitting Image: Myth, Memory, and the Legacy of Vietnam" and he has an agenda and conclusion even before he "objectively" searches for support....He never interviews those who have documented claims of abuse, he just says he can't find them.....Oh well....nice journalism!
And again, the incident The Times covered happened and was never retracted....Why, Sir Loin of Milquetoast?....oh yeah...because it happened....a leftist protestor spit at a disabled veteran protesting their anti-American activity. Just last year...wow....I guess in 30 years people will say that never happened either!
As Capote would say.....he, he, he....
Oh no!....LGBT in the shadows and in the stalls, Sir Loin of Milquetoast!
"And again, the incident The Times covered happened and was never retracted....Why, Sir Loin of Milquetoast?....oh yeah...because it happened....a leftist protestor spit at a disabled veteran protesting their anti-American activity. Just last year...wow....I guess in 30 years people will say that never happened either!''
Sparling said clearly that a "protester spat on the ground as he walked past", and that he then spat back. This is far from an explicit case of disrespect, and it comes from a confidant of Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter, so forgive me if I suspect a propagandistic predisposition to taking offense.
I once had a young marine express his desire to shoot me through my sign, but I in no way attribute this as a characteristic of the corps as a whole. Please listen to what is said and do not seek fringe anecdotes to frame your impression of the world - it will fuk you up.
...and you see this as "Stalinesque"?:
"America's military does not exist as a vehicle by which young men can earn personal honor and glory in battle - it exists to protect our society from real threats."
I am flabbergasted, Phari-cee. You are essentially admitting that your beloved war is actually a medal factory for a class of Samurai, and that its rationale of battling an existential threat is not to be taken seriously.
"Oh no!....LGBT in the shadows and in the stalls, Sir Loin of Milquetoast!"
I'm afraid you have the advange of me here - I do not know what "LGBT" means.
Since you mentioned "stalls" I suspect it might be "Languid Grope Beside Toilet", and serves as a texting code for ardent Republican males.
From Chickaboomer.com:
"Fool On The Hill"
Used to be that presidential debates were presided over by the crowing liberal hen club, League of Women Voters billing itself "non-partisan."
So now we've got a crowing liberal John Moschitta [FedEx spots] semi-automatic spinner barfing anti-Repub Exorcist green goo. And he's moderating a Repub presidential debate next week. Chris Matthews made news himself this week charging Bush & Cheney are "criminals" for trying to muzzle him by putting pressure on MSNBC honchos. Repubs are expected to offer themselves up as human sacrificies to Matthews when Dems refused to enter the Fox News debate den? [NY Post "Immoderate Moderator"]
Let's cut the guy some slack, shall we? After all he's an alcoholic. Well, he won't admit it. Chris will only say his diabetes made him quit the bottle in December. Lurching through ten months of no booze as a dry drunk is no walk in the park.
To mollify the Republicans, drop kick Chris into alcohol rehab before the debate. MSNBC could arrange it that Chris misses his connecting flight in Phoenix to the tony Tucson treatment center. Chris freaks out, police are called, he's cuffed and stuffed in an airport holding cell where he strangles himself trying to get out of the bracelets.
The A-Team: Hannibal: "I love it when a plan comes together." Mr. T: "I pity the fool."
Question:
Why wasn't Joe Scarborough or Tucker Carlson selected to moderate the upcoming Republican debate rather than a Dem shill like Matthews?
Try marijuana. It may make a new woman out of you.
Guaranteed it would be a huge improvement !

So, my "forty some odd names" wasn't too far off, eh, "why?"
Isn't 'dark star' the name of that psycho that posted his video on youtube that was filmed in some basement on a web cam? Hideous, to say the least. He rambled on about how "smart" Olbermahn was. I think the video was posted here. Same guy? Or, was that 'dark power?'
Hey, Bobo, be careful what you wish for.

Cecelia,
I found it quite amusing that when I related a story of how I came to realize AAP/Bob/Why were on and the same, the insulting moniker appeared to attack. Now, who takes the claim to be behind the moniker? Would it be Bob claiming that he is not Why/AAP, et al (various monikers, anon) Why claiming he is not Bob/AAP et al, Mr. Moniker claiming that he is not Bob/AAP?Why, . . . . There was never an identification. How could there be? Then he plants AAP and Why commenting within a few minutes of each other and says, "OH looky, now she'll say I am talking to myself!" What a ploy. Happenstance? Hardly. So, he in his various forms will continue to direct alcoholic insults to you, senile insults to Grammie, Catholic insults to me, Bovine insults to RK, and a panapoly of insults to Cee. Oh and partisan hack jokes to $.
I do need to spend less time here. I am going to try to stick to that. I have gotten too far behind on my responsibilities and what I said to Grammie has been gnawing at me.

Sharon, thanks for the link. That seems very credible to me.
I had a similar experience. Cee and I had a little conversation that we had had a back and forth with Bobo on the subject at hand, which had come up again, some months before. Bobo, or at least Bobo as Bobo, had not posted at that time for a month or two.
Well, golly gee, it was about a nanosecond before Bobo popped up telling us how stupid and wrong we were.
It was so obvious that I commented on it and Bobo or his new persona, if I remember correctly, denied it.

I am very guilty of following the rule of IGNORING. Maybe women have a harder time with that. I am going to set limits on my time here because there have been times that I can't believe a couple of hours have past! Also, the vitreal affects me. I mean in a way that brings out a side of me that I don't like (mild for here, but nonetheless unacceptable). I think we have discussed it before. I don't feel wrong in discussing Olbermann in a critical fashion that is not a personal attack. I have never discussed him outside of what he promotes on Olbermann.
Just a side note. My husband used to watch him when he was a sportscaster and really enjoyed his humor. He doesn't watch Countdown (no time for it), but he did for a few minutes the other day. He immediately said when Rachel Maddow guested, "Isn't Air America bankrupt?" "Doesn't he have anybody with a different point of view on?"

A swing at playing 'Hardball' with MSNBC's Chris Matthews
Liz Smith
October 8, 2007
""I am not a media critic!" said TV commentator Chris Matthews when I asked if he had any thoughts on the Bill O'Reilly-Keith Olbermann "feud," which rages almost nightly on the Fox and MSNBC networks. Chris added: "You can never win criticizing someone in your own business.""

Some excerpts about Olbermann's sin of envy:
Olbermann’s Obsession with O’Reilly
By Doug Giles
Saturday, October 6, 2007
"...I couldn’t believe what I saw and heard. Keith was going ballistic, obsessing about O’Reilly like a jealous and rabid Jan Brady drowning in her sister Marsha’s praise wake. To me it wasn’t as offensive as it was pathetic—and pathetic it was.
Y’know…envy isn’t pretty. You and I both know that this is what Keith’s Salieri-like preoccupation with Bill is all about, namely ugly and uncut China white envy. MSNBC’s ratings are dragging like a fat man in a marathon, so instead of re-tooling and figuring out why they blow, the wizards at MSNBC decide to fuel Keith’s jealous wrath..."
"...Y’know, of all the stuff a person in Olbermann’s position could righteously go after, he chooses rather to use his time to take O’Reilly down. But this is what the left is now all about: character assassination. They don’t have answers, they don’t have the ratings, they don’t have the ear of the working hard, playing hard, God-loving, flag-saluting American public, so instead of waking the hell up they have decided to run with their foolhardiness and do it in prime time. Pretty sad gents, pretty sad."

Breeze Perspectives: Political bulling and the demise of civil discourse
By Tony Spadaccia, contributing writer
Posted on October 8, 2007
"...We see personal attacks in the news all the time; Keith Olbermann calls Fox News “worse than al-Qaeda,” Rush Limbaugh calls Iraq veterans who oppose the war “phony soldiers” and Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell have called each other just about everything else.
In today’s world, it is rare for any two people to be able to respectfully discuss their differences. As a result, America is stuck in political gridlock that is allowing many major problems to get bigger and bigger..."

News you can use, thanks for the links.
I am a sucker for links because it can open up so much that I've missed on my own.
Grammie
No problem Ms. Hawkins. I miss the "Link Round-up" that Robert Cox use to do.
I loved the quote from Chris Matthews "You can never win criticizing someone in your own business." Just the other day he was praising Olbermann for going after O'Reilly. Matthews admired it so much he has included it his new book. Some of these guys are just down right nutty in their flip-floping.
I'm glad you check out the entire articles via the links. Sometimes the comments (if there are any) can be very interesting as well.
News you can use, I usually read a lot of the comments.
They can offer as much as the article.
Great minds think alike. :)

Bobo, you and your manifestations copy and paste wholesale chunks and/or entire articles with no attribution and frequently not a single original thought of your own.
Quite different from someone posting an article or an excerpt and giving the link for anyone who is interested to go to it.

Very good article on what the Repub. candidates should ask Chris Matthews:
First, Some Questions For Matthews
Oct. 9, 2007 (Investor's Business Daily delivered by Newstex) --
"Media: For unknown reasons, Republican candidates have agreed to a second debate moderated by a hard-core Democrat who thinks President Bush is a criminal. This time it is they who should really play hardball..."
"...While they're at it, they should ask Matthews if he agrees with colleague Keith Olbermann's description of President Bush as "a president who lied us into war, and in so doing, needlessly killed 3,584 of our family and friends and neighbors" and who "has freed from the prospect of prison the only man (Scooter Libby) ever to come to trial for one of the component felonies in what may the greatest crime of this young century.""
