Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    November 1, 2007
Countdown with Keith Olbermann - November 1st, 2007

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    • TERROR-FYING TACTICS: Jonathan Alter of Newsweek
    • IS THERE A DRAFT IN HERE?: Hillary Mann Leverett, Former Foreign Service Officer who "left the Bush administration"

Krazy Keith droned through a rather limp spiel. President plays the "9/11 card" to get Judge Mukasey through. Senator Kennedy bails and Senator Specter says "the nomination is in trouble. The "State Department in Crisis!" We've never that one before on OlbyPlanet! "Drafting Diplomats." The Rumsfeld memos and the ever important Britney Spears! Barry Bonds exclusive interview, conducting by Jim Gray - not Keith Olbermann - zing!

    Bathtub Boy

#5: "Vote Republican or Die" was the message of 2006 from the President. He has "rolled out the 2007 sequel." He's trying to "strong arm Congress" (gee, that has never happened). He spoke to the Heritage Foundation where "a lot of the 24% of people who still approve of the President were." Several clips of the President with non-witty remarks from Olby. The President dares to think that the Democrats blocking the latest nomination for Attorney General would be a bad precedent (no mention that Mukasey was strongly recommended by Sen. Chuckie Schumer). Keith 'Fat Ass' Olbermann calls the VP the "Dark Lord." Har! Bring in the usual leftist Alter to say nothing of value or something outside of standard DNC talking points. White House thinks "follow the constitution and you will die." Alter thinks that the speech wasn't red meat, but raw meat. Whoah! He's just worried about his legacy and Mukasey, supposedly. Alter thinks that the President has no other accomplishments other than keeping the country safe. Even that faint praise was too much for Herr Olbermann to stomach saying that the President only kept the country safe "after 9/11 and the anthrax terror attacks." Knock me over with a feather. Water boarding is torture on OlbyPlanet, even though we've used it on our own soldiers for training and there are only three suspected times that it has been used. That and the Senate, under Republican control, voted 53-47 not to classify waterboarding as torture. No example of torture is actually cutting off fingers....heads....pulling out finger nails.....electrocution. We're just like the gulags says Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)! Great thanks.

#4: Americans are being "drafted" for the first time since Vietnam, although these aren't soldiers. They are diplomats who refuse to go to Iraq, even though, you know, you work for an agency and sort of do what your job entails? They could just quit. Couple of clips of foreign service staff bashing the administration. Keith has friends in the State Department, supposedly, who talk off the record to him. First time we've sent diplomats to a war zone since Vietnam, which was a war, just like now. Imagine that. Ms. Leverett says that if you disagree with policy, you will "pay for it." Ms. Leverett has an extensive history of disagreeing with the Bush administration in conjunction with her husband.

Oddball: Someone is immune to electricity, funny Halloween scare on a local news channel

Best Persons in the World: Some bad costume choice, someone has a bad day, Aw Cheng Fatt offered a cop $15 to avoid being busted for drunk driving, but he wasn't drunk

#3: "Snowflake memos" of Donald Rumsfeld. Olbersturmfuhrer does the third story standing up! So cool! He looks a bit thick, and the suit does not look right. He also looks stiff. Bunch of quotes without context. Yawn.

#2: Keeping tabs (guess it was hard to get guests tonight): Britney Spears says "you know" a lot. Heather Mills breaks down on TV.

#1: Barry Bonds interview tape. But Olby does get to interview the guy who interviewed Bonds! Wow!

In the Media Matters minute, the "lunatic fringe" Ding! website RedState even though he was really talking about someone's blog entry. While they did say Keith was on, and he wasn't, at least try to get the person who wrote the entry's name. Monkeymann and his lackeys awarded Glenn Beck the silver via the usual MediaMatters smear machine. Roger Ailes wins gold (Fox, naturally!).

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olbermann's went through the roof to #10,448 at, but "Culture Warrior" is #2,147. (It's that 2-for-$25 sale!) The OlbyTome sadly remains unranked; O'Reilly's book is #1,943 there, and is one of the top five books of 2006 per Publishers Weekly. Wednesday's Hour of Spin managed a second place finish in total viewers and in that beloved demo. Although O'Reilly beat House Boy Olbermann in the overall and the demo 3:1. Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 2 [LOW]

I see no correction or apology for his lies about Rudy and the statements he didn't say....the new "Murrow" indeed.

Ok you KO defenders give us your spin on that one.

Mlong, I have no doubt that one or more will strain to the point of a hernia to tell us all that KO was right!

Keith was stiffed for the Bonds interview
Because Barry hates Keith, nothing new
    Keith got the exclusive
    (Bonds not inclusive)
What's a bitter jock sniffer to do?

Huffington finally came clean (somewhat) about her lies.....

"Of course, if the media ever do get around to holding Giuliani's feet to the fire, they need to do it accurately -- not like the AP, which initially misreported Rudy's crack about Clinton and Obama inviting Ahmadinejad and Assad to the White House. The AP reporter heard "Assad" as "Osama" and many in the media, including me, went with the erroneous AP story -- in my case until I heard the sound byte myself."

Oh boy...."until I heard the sound byte myself?" She heard the sound byte wth Olbermann on live TV and about 20 seconds later still claimed Giuliani said "Osama."

Ok. Well it is nice to see Zsa Zsa correct herself about 30% of the way....much better than Olbermann who is yet to correct his mistake at all.

The typical OW Olbermann apologists are quite silent about this one.

Did Mr. "Politics of Harry Potter" badmouth Glenn Beck for his analysis of G.I.Joe? Don't the hypocrite gave it a second thought. Pot. Kettle. Black.

SHe should try to get a better grasp of the language...

    SHut up

Anonymous, The Huffington Post is nothing more or nothing less than a repository of ad nauseum repeated liberal viewpoints. God help you if you dare to voice and opinion or anything else that is not the prescribed, parrot-like reaction to the liberal talking points.

If you try to voice a conservative opinion, your post will hardly ever see the light of day. They allow a token conservative post every once in a blue moon. Even their policy statement says that once a poster expressed something disagreeing with the official line, his/her posts will not be allowed, regardless what that poster may say in another post at a later time.

    Typical liberal "tolerance".

I would hope that the policy of Huffington Post was set and is enforced by over-eager minions, rather than Ms. Huffington, herself.

Anon, she was sitting with Olbermann after they ran the clip of Giuliani saying,

"GIULIANI: It‘s not like this happy, romantic world in which, you know, we‘ll negotiate with this one and we‘ll negotiate with that one and there will be no pre-conditions and we‘ll invite Ahmadinejad to the White House and we‘ll invite Assad to the White House. I mean, Hillary and Obama are kind of debating you know whether to invite them to the inauguration or the inaugural ball."

Just 30 seconds later she says, as per the offical MSNBC transcript, "And here is Giuliani daring to insult his Democratic opponents by saying that they would invite Osama bin Laden to the White House?"

Come on Anon, please call Huffington exactly what she is, a partisan who is NO different than the partisans on the other side....Rove, etc. The fact that you agree with her ideology makes you more sympathetic to her and increases your sensitivites to her "positives."

Have you investigated Karl Rove's attributes as a father and husband?

Brining up Huffington's personal life does not influence my opinion of her as a media personality (a poor one who is obviously willing to lie to make political points), or my evaluation of the ill effects of her world-view.

Huffington is NO better than Rove ethically or intellectually....And forget Olbermann...he does not even retract his errors and as a media personality and self described journalist, this totally erodes his credibility.

Anonymous, re your sarcastic reply to my post:

Can you legitimately refute anything I said about The Huffington Post?

And, bye the way, in spite of your claim that what I said was "oft-repeated" I have never seen it expressed by anyone (at least not as well as I have).

And now that you know at least part of the real world, YES, you should, NAY, you ARE and anyone who did not know the inner workings of The Huffington Post, are better off for it.

By definition, and in our current poisoned environment, Huffington's partisanship makes everything she says about herself or even what is written about her, suspect. Your penchant to delve into her personal life shows the tact...."Even though I am a leftist...I love and care for my children just like you!"

Oh, and on what do you base your opinion that Rove is an absentee father? Is this source Rove himself, his son, his wife, who, anon? Agai, I suspect what you have "researched" is quite suspect considering Rove's position as a political partisan and walking around with a target on his back.

You see, the left tries to frame themselves as "normal," mommy, daddy who love their kids and want the best for them while touting ideology that is in direct conflict with the nuclear family. And the abundant evidence of this truth.....leftist secular ideology and its implementation here in the 1960's and abroad (Chinese, Soviet and Cuban style leftist governance) shows this easily.

So anon, unless you want to go down a road with me discussing how the secular left is anti-children and anti-family along with anti-american and anti-freedom, I would suggest you simply stop trying to defend your leftist partisans who try to present themselves as "normal," but are really radical and following a world-view that dismisses, out of hand, traditional nuclear family roles and insists on secular authoritative influence on minds as early as possible.

Anonymous, who are you talking to? You seem to lack the decency/courtesy/civility to address your posts to whomever you wish to speak to.

If your post at November 2, 10:06 AM was meant to be addressed to me, FrankTheTank, let me assure you, that, since I am retired and have all the time in the world, I DO read blogs, articles, comments, novels, poems, posts by amateurs, etc., so I can well relate to opinions coming from both the Left and the Right.

Being a nice conservative guy, it would never occur to me to offend you by saying that you are "not well read". That kind of blanket statement - without any knowledge of the poster - is the exclusive perview of Liberals.

And I am still waiting for you to refute anything I said about The Huffington Post and its editorial policies.

As far as your claim that The Huffington Post is justifed in stifling conservative opinion, because it declares to be "partisan", so, WHAT!? makes no bones about being a conservative website, but they would never sink to the depths of censoring dissenting opinions like The Huffington Post does.

Just for curiousity: are you a student at Emory, or Columbia?

If you are, (or if you are sympathising with the views of the anarchists, there) I can only weep for the future of America.

I wonder if Keith's girlfriend Katy was the one who made a guest appearance during the Hillary campaign call on Wednesday that was open to the media and said Tim Russert should be shot for the way he treated the little lady during the debate (the caller said she was from Oklahoma, but if she had said she was from East 69th Street it would have eliminated plausible deniability):

Even if it's not, if Olbermann was really working "backstage" to get Don Imus off MSNBC prior to his "nappy-headed" remark, he must be secretly burning up the phone lines and filling e-mail folders right now trying to get Russert canned as NBC's Washington bureau chief due to his untrustworthiness to the Clinton campaign.

Oh dear, just exposed the underside of your compassion totally obliterating your self-rightous fascade....

"I have found that I best serve my God and my Church by serving God's people. The liberal tradition is one that fosters a hands-on outreach to people in need"

    followed by....

"I find nothing redeeming about him except for his singular, cut throat, bottom line political focus."

A truly "spiritual," "caring," "compassionate," person would never claim a person is not redeemable, anon.....I really think you should concentrate a little bit more on your correct observation, "spectacular sinner in desparate need of redemption and grace," and try to apply it someone like Rove if you are going to try to defend your world-view.

This is the problem when you decide to be the one determining what is "immoral," and not rely of supernatural revelation to tell you....including those leftist anathemas and what are judge as "politically incorrect ones"....sexual immorality and having recognizing the one, true God.....

Let's discuss this deeper spiritual issue, Anon...I would like to see your defense.

Pastor DUMBFUCK! I mean Phallu-Cee! is again relying on his Revelation Inflated Flatulence to issue fatwas.

Say, Pastor DUMBFUCK! I mean Phallu-Cee! When did you start hearing supernatural voices?
Before or after you joined your cult?

"This is gibberish. But, I will defer to you. Recent news seems to indicate that it is the Republicans who have the deepest understanding of sexual immoraility."

I think it is very clear, anon (and wannawipe Pig Pen).....And it is my opinion that Republicans are as guilty of sexual immorality as Democrats and never claimed otherwise. Please remember that sexual immorality includes fornication, adultery and sodomy, anonymous....Just because you choose to overlook such sin in your fellow leftists does not mean it is not a problem.

Please remember that sexual immorality includes fornication, adultery and sodomy, anonymous...

    Pastor DUMBFUCK! I mean Phallu-Cee!
Are you sure those voices in your head are God\'s and not the FUCKING TALIBAN?

    2) She has developed an excellent product. Even if you disagree with everything Ariana says and writes, you have to hand it to her for developing an attractive, user-friendly, inclusive, ground-breaking website.

The Huffington Post routinely allows its authors to write about subjects with which they are completely unfamiliar, largely uninformed, and generally ignorant--take Laurie David and global warming for example--but today's post by Barry Sanders (I wish it was that Barry Sanders) sets a new standard. Sanders's piece is about "the military's addiction to oil," and his point is to illustrate the military's contribution to global warming, but not content merely to opine on something he didn't understand...he had to make his own facts up, too.

    Sanders writes:

But, we do know that President Bush ordered the USS Stennis and the USS Ronald Reagan to the Gulf in January 2007 as part of the surge. He also sent a "strike group," led by the nuclear aircraft carrier the USS Eisenhower, along with a cruiser, a destroyer, a frigate, a submarine escort, and a supply ship. Already sitting in the Gulf were ten other "Carrier Task Forces" built around the aircraft carriers Kitty Hawk, Constellation, Enterprise, John F. Kennedy, Chester W. Nimitz, Carl Vinson, Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington, Harry S. Truman, and the Abraham Lincoln. Ninety attack planes sit on each carrier's deck, ready at any moment to fly into combat.

The United States has never, ever, had twelve carrier task forces stationed in the Gulf, not this year, not any year.

    Exhibit 2:

The USS Abraham Lincoln, familiar to us as the ship on whose deck President Bush declared to the nation, on May 2, 2003,"Mission Accomplished," remains in service, but the military keeps classified all the numbers about its fuel consumption. The USS Lincoln helped deliver the opening salvos and air strikes in Operation Iraqi Freedom. From March 2003 until mid-April of that same year, during its deployment in the Gulf, the Navy launched 16,500 sorties from its deck, and fired 1.6 million pounds of ordnance from its guns.

The USS Abraham Lincoln has no "guns," other than those used in air defense. The 1.6 million pounds of ordnance should refer to bombs dropped in Iraq via aircraft.

    Exhibit 3:

Of all the branches, the Air Force uses the most fuel. In 2006, for instance, the Air Force consumed nearly half of the DoD supply, 2.6 billion gallons of jet fuel, the same amount of fuel consumed from December 1941 to August 1945, during World War II. Flying machines, like the Apache helicopter, blow through fuel at an astonishing rate. Powered by two General Electric gas-turbine engines, each rated at 1,890-horse power, the Apache gets about one-half mile to the gallon. Just one pair of Apaches in a single night's raid will consume about 60,000 gallons of jet fuel.

This is getting a little ridiculous...Apaches aren't part of the Air Force, they are Army.

    Exhibit 4:

To all that, we must add the 1,000 jets stationed on aircraft-carrier groups in the Gulf, along with 22 stealth bombers and another 700 planes in Saudi Arabia.

One thousand jets stationed on carriers in the Gulf? Wrong. 700 in Saudi Arabia? Wrong. And our whole fleet of B-2 Stealth Bombers stationed in Saudi Arabia? Way, way, way wrong.

    Exhibit 5:

Some environmentalists insist that aircraft carriers pollute more than any other piece of armament in the military arsenal. Besides spreading the ocean surface with its own CO2 and residual oil, sea-going vessels create something called "Ship Tracks" that tail off, like vapor trails, in the atmosphere and have the potential for changing the microstructure of marine stratiform clouds.

Only one aircraft carrier in the U.S. Navy isn't nuclear powered. So there is no CO2, no "ship tracks," and no potential for changing the microstructure of marine stratiform clouds. And you know what, I don't know much about clouds, but given Sander's wide-ranging ignorance, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he has no idea what he's talking about here either.

    Exhibit 6:

One of those studies, completed in March 2000 and funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency, says absolutely nothing about the contamination caused by that same jet exhaust when a squadron of F-22s, say, fly sortie after sortie, at fairly low elevations, over a crowded neighborhood in Baghdad.

Yea, an F-22 has never, ever, flown a sortie over Baghdad, let alone at low altitude and in squadron formation

The Huffington Post has canceled the series.

Huffo is a propagandist just like Olbermann who tries to push lies as facts. Her "experts" are nothing more than left wing smear merchants.

Here is another lie from the Huffo Blogger that I forgot.

"the Apache gets about one-half mile to the gallon. Just one pair of Apaches in a single night's raid will consume about 60,000 gallons of jet fuel."

Apparently the Apaches cover 15,000 miles in a single raid. That's 7,500 miles out and 7,500 miles back.

There are no voices in my head, wannwipe Pig Pen....But as Linus, I will be glad to quote scripture and you can respond to that example of supernatural revelation....

"[Jesus] went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.' For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.'" MARK 7:20

I think it's time for your nap, patsy. Go get your blanky....

No dear wannawipe Pig Pen, your conclusion is not correct. Anonymous above seems to be under the incorrect impression that liberals have some kind of new and improved christianity from that which was revelaed through supernatural revelation to the Jews and by Christ Himself. It seems very plain to me that neither republican or democrat, left or right, can lay claim to purity or charity and Anonymous attempt to raise the left as beacons of charity, compassion and purity is laughable....especially when it comes to 21 st century "progressive" ideas regarding sexuality.

Anonymous runs to the hill because he knows where I am however, devoid of such knowledge, dismiss salvation by grace alone (true Christianity) as morally equal to legalistim (Islam) and it is not....Why?....I could easily explain it to you if you want, wannawipe Pig Pen, but it would require you believe in supernatural revelation and relationship and I sense you are not quite prepared to open your mind to that.

LOL....WHAT does ""Progressive" ideas regarding sexuality" have to do with being "beacons or compassion, charity, and purity"?

There most be some Biblical relationship I haven't heard about yet?

Oh dear Mike, so nice of you to join in.....Leftists are supposed to be tolerant of adultery, fornincation and sodomy.....they even state people should be left alone to choose whether such behavior is moral for them, even as young teenagers or younger....birth control at 11 years old sounds practical!

Ah, but Anonymous seems to believe those spiritual leftists have it one step better than their more conservative brethren and I simply ask how he/she comes to that conclusion, especially when he/she states they are a Chrsitian and Christ sites among all sin.....sexual immorality?

The left's secular agenda is 180 degrees from what Christ taught yet some want to preach something different....they wish to say the left is actually providing what Christ asks. And it is not only in sexuality but also in honoring father and mother and recognizing the one true God....This has been the discussion I have had with such individuals who choose to usurp Christ's message as one of secular humanism.

I do get wannawipe's reaction that I am American Taliban and wish to have women wear vails and stone 13 year old fornicators....I clarified, and wannwipe ignored, that Christianity is about salvation through grace alone and also 180 degrees from legalism (Islam).

So, again, I will simply wait and see how one can say modern 21st century "progressive" secular humanism is in anyway consistent with Christ's total message, including MARK I posted at 12:51.

RK, I thought you might be interested in this article about large student demonstrations against Chavez proposed constitutional changes:

This from LGF would be first rate comedy if it was not done in deadly seriousness:

    "spiritual leftists"
"...The left's secular agenda is 180 degrees from what Christ taught yet..."

Now the eveeeeeeeeeeeel secularists LEFTISTS have moved into the realm of Satan.

"180 degrees from what Christ taught"

    "spiritual leftists"

    WOW! Again!
Baby Jesus! Please help me to stop laughing so hard!

Isn't Puko a nice fellow? Slob or clucker/philby/rudy/jennifer/Anonymous won't make a peep about this. They both bash Bush on a daily basis and actually defend this puke. Liberalism is definately a mental disorder!

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Soldiers used tear gas, plastic bullets and water cannons to scatter tens of thousands who massed Thursday to protest constitutional reforms that would permit Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to run for re-election indefinitely.

And fellow american- liberal Sean Penn holds Chavez in higher regard than G Bush. The left has no shame.

The left is lost in every sense. They cannot defend their losing ways. I wonder how many potential leftists have been aborted since 1973.

Anon. objectively Carter was the worst ever.

The 2 faces of Madame Nancy

WASHINGTON - Add House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the list of Americans who think Congress is doing a lousy job.

Hours after touting the Democratic-controlled Congress' achievements at a ceremony on the Capitol steps Thursday, Pelosi confessed that she would give the legislative body low marks if a pollster asked her.

"I know that Congress has low approval ratings," Pelosi, D-Calif., said at her weekly news conference. "I don't approve of Congress, because we haven't done anything that — we haven't been effective in ending the war in Iraq. And if you asked me in a phone call, as ardent a Democrat as I am, I would disapprove of Congress as well."

P.S. Shankbear- Carter is tight with Puko, therfore, "Anonymous" is tight with Carter.

This is the problem when you decide to be the one determining what is "immoral," and not rely of supernatural revelation to tell you....including those leftist anathemas and what are judge as "politically incorrect ones"....sexual immorality and having recognizing the one, true God.....

Did you go over to Cecelia's last night and get toasted? This is gibberish.

Moral law must be based upon something less transient than current political and cultural sensibilities, which are prone to intense emphasis on one particular aspect of morality in one age (-- sexual propriety over charity in the Victorian Era vs. charity over personal and sexual propriety in the this current age) while ignoring or downplaying other areas.

Try to spell it out for Capon, Cee.

If it doesn't if there's no echo of some current popular bromide, he won't be able to follow.

Carter certified that the election of Hugo Chavez was legitimate. Not only is Carter the worst president, he is the worst x-president.

You have given more weight to my firm belief that conservatives own talk radio because all they have to do is set on their fat asses and listen to shrill, whiney, loud people spout the party line. Liberals own the internet because using it requires a high degree of literacy, independent analytical thought and judicious source-checking and editing. All of those are obviously well beyond you.

Posted by: Anonymous at November 2, 2007 10:06 AM

This is sheer conjecture and one could just as easily argue that conservatives ranks are composed of those people who you devote a lot of time professing you concern over.

They may be in blue collar jobs, where accessing the internet is problematic. However they are able to listen to the radio at work --- on a construction site, or while driving a truck where accessing.

They may also be white collar workers sit with a computer in front of them, while listening to talk radio, but have little time for surfing or blogging.

If you're going to engage in the sort of mentality that makes blanket assumptions (often based on what is little more than the sort of snob-appeal that is the ironic equivalent of "low-rent psychic dreck" ) about the very personal characteristics of individuals rather than about ideologies, I think both you and Michael Savage need to be very exact on just who you're putting down and why that seems so necessary for you.

If it doesn't if there's no echo ....

Posted by: Anonymous at November 2, 2007 4:25 PM

If a good stiff whiskey could help you more easily process information, I'd recommend it. As it is, it would just be a waste of good ole JD.

The liberal tradition is one that fosters a hands-on outreach to people in need, not the abstract charity I find so common among many of the conservatives who spout dogma but who haven't darkened a church anteroom in years. I don't expect you to agree with that. I don't care that you disagree, but stop the damn slander of so many faithful people.

As for Rove, believe it or not as you chose. I suspect you already know what I said is true. I travel in some very small circles, and I actually know Rove, not as a friend to be sure. I have met him. I have seen him work. I find nothing redeeming about him except for his singular, cut throat, bottom line political focus. Again, whether you believe that or not, I don't care. It remains true.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 2, 2007 10:24 AM

Now putting aside the fact that religious conservatives are some of the most passionate church goers in the nation and that these churches (especially of the mega-church variety) offer a variety of projects from free child-care to food pantries, darkening the church door would have little impact on one's ability to personally engage in hands-on charity via solitary application or secular community organizations.

BTW-- how gleeful would Catholic you have felt if one of these evangelical folk had used your description of Catholic Sharon's practice of her faith?

I seem to be able to process information effectively. I do have some problem with drunken, delusional drivel. What does "If it doesn't if there's no echo ...." mean?

They listen to radio at construction sites? Do they have very quiet jack hammers?
Posted by: Anonymous at November 2, 2007 5:04 PM

You're able to process it effectively enough to over look the typo and know what I said.

Your inability lies in doing anything more.

I'm relatively sure that jackhammers aren't employed with every sort of construction project, generally including the construction of private homes. But it's just one more example of your trying to ignore the forest by quibbling over a dandelion.

That strategy has never served you well, but it's certainly served you.

They listen to radio at construction sites? Do they have very quiet jack hammers?

Posted by: Anonymous at November 2, 2007 5:04 PM

For a 'world traveler' you don't get out much, do you? Jack hammers don't dominate ALL construction sites. Inner city demo's, maybe. I'm a retired contractor, I used a jack hammer 3 maybe 4 times my whole life. Talk radio and music make the day go much faster and are common place on construction sites. The liberals haven't outlawed them, yet!

In addition to walkmans and ipods and such with earphones.

how gleeful would Catholic you have felt ...?

Translation-- his resulting outraged posts concerning anti-catholicism among Christian conservatives would have used the equivalent of an extra-large Scot toilet tissue roll of bandwidth... :D

Ms. Meanie Weanie, there you go again being mean to FLUCKER.

    Have you no shame? :)

Interesting essay about the fairness doctrine, I like they way the author says the left would throw Olbermann to the wolves if it meant getting rid of Rush:

    By Lynn Woolley

The Don Imus affair, for example, showcased the power of the Rev. Al Sharpton and others to have a few seconds of on-air patter designated "hate speech." If you can accomplish that, you can get rid of the offending host altogether. Was the Imus firing a tune-up to see if other hosts can be accused of hate speech?

Perhaps. But it points out a salient truth: Those who called for the dismissal of Rosie O'Donnell for her outrageous statements on "The View" and those who'd like to see MSNBC's Keith Olbermann fired for his nightly spewing on "Countdown" had better be careful of what they wish for. The Left would throw Olbermann to the wolves in a heartbeat if it meant that conservative talk radio and TV would go down with him.

Free speech should mean free speech for all—even those points-of-view that drive you crazy. So you'll forgive us if we champion the right of Rosie and Keith and even good old Al Franken to say what they will over the airwaves. What's good for the goose is good for the gander—maybe even better. In the marketplace of ideas, conservatism will win on the merits. It's Leftist thought that must suppress the other side.

And that's precisely what the Left intends to do.

but Bovine will probably be busy milking bulls for recreation purposes, after Bovine fits the bulls with ipods and earphones.

Bovine also has claimed to have installed TV sets and two radios for each of his boyfriends, all set to FUCKS Noises or BU$HWIPE AM talk radio, and leaving them on 24/7 in order to increase ratings.

    Smart little Bovine, ain\'t it!

News, I agree totally with you.

I don't tune in to MSNBC and I wrote them saying it is not allowed in my house and why. That is my exercising my freedom to have an impact without calling for censorship of MSNBC.

The 'Fairness' Doctrine is a priori censorship from the same folks who gave us 41 Senators making an effort to condemn and remove a private citizen from the airwaves because they don't like his politics.

I really don't think they will be able to turn the clock back and the egg on Harry Reid's face is indicative that they don't have the monolithic power to control radio anymore.

    Thanks Patsy!

must have been the Hag-zilla thing.

    Or maybe the Bovine thing.

    Or maybe the BU$HWIPES thing.

Perhaps the \"BUSH ON Mt. RUSHMORE NOW!\"

Actually it is the sheer stupidity and asininity of your posts.

    Thanks Patsy!

    The universe...

I would say Olby gave that correction and apology under pressure. The petulant man-child subsequently named Rudy to all levels of WPiTW - his idea of getting even.
I'm surprised he didn't just stomp his feet since he didn't get his way.

    Thanks Patsy!

    Couple of Random Thoughts...

1st - Fairness Doctrine applies to over the air TV and Radio, not cable. Reason being is that airwaves belong to the public and broadcasters are charged to serve the "public interest convenience and necessity" as defined by the FCC.

Cable finks like Olbermann would not be held to this standard, in the unlikely event it was adopted.

2nd - Brian Williams did a great job on Saturday Night Live. He must hold his noze every time he appears on Olby's show to prop up the leftist hack.

3rd - NBC News is Al Jazeera @ 30 Rock.

Really "FNA-LF", we got you the first time. No need to repeat the same post in multiple threads.

Not for our benefit. They think if they say it enough they'll start to believe it.

In true Olbermann fashion, poster Oops finds something on the internet, reports it as fact and declres that he has uncovered something sinister. It took me about 10 seconds using a Google search to discover that this quote attributed to Bush is a complete hoax. The quote comes from a satirical piece penned by left wing "humorist" Andy Borowitz. Here is the link to the piece and you can check it out.

The Olbermann stooges who come to this site have learned well from their master-- if you don't have the facts to support your left wing diatribe, make it up and hope you don't get caught

A very high percentage of "popular opinion" about the Iraq war is on a par with this statement by Democratic Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Silvestre Reyes:

When asked by Congressional Quarterly reporter Jeff Stein whether al Qaeda was a Sunni or Shi'ite organization, he answered: "Predominantly, probably Shi'ite."
As Mr. Stein wrote later: "He couldn't have been more wrong. Al Qaeda is profoundly Sunni. If a Shi'ite showed up at an al Qaeda clubhouse, they'd slice his head off and use it for a soccer ball."
The reporter added: "To me, it's like asking about Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland: Who's on what side?"
In the same interview, Mr. Stein had asked Mr. Reyes about the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. His now-infamous reply: "Hezbollah. Uh, Hezbollah? ... Why do you ask me these questions at 5 o'clock? Can I answer in Spanish? Do you speak Spanish?"

Good try, but they're all so far up Bush's ass they don't have a clue what is happening.

I tell you, the Repugnants have lost America for a generation thanks to Shrub and his ass dwellers.

"Good try, but they're all so far up Bush's ass they don't have a clue what is happening."

The person who is so far up an (ex) president's ass he dosen't know what is happening is Olbermann. Here is a tool who hands Clinton a check during an on air interview then attacks a reporter (Chris Wallace) by calling Wallace a "monkey" when Wallace asked Clinton a foreign policy question.

Clinton has been out of office for seven (7) years!

Crawl out of Bush's ass, clean yourself up and move into a present reality. This isn't healthy for you or our nation.

A more careful re-reading of my post will reveal that I make no profession of allegience to President Bush. You will also note that my previous post is targeted at the actions of Olbermann (who is the subject of this site) and his interactions with politicians that he genuflects to. You seem so interested in people who genuflect to political leaders. Olbermann is as disgusting as they come.

I understand, Shank. Do you? I don't think so.

I understand that your devotion to the far left fringe is so uncondtional that you cannot even bring yourself to denounce an incompetent hater like Olbermann who smears those who disagree with him by calling them "Nazis" (after hypocritically urging against the use of this tactic) and using an anti-Semitic slur against a reporter from a competing network who dared to ask one of Olbermann's favored politicians a tough question. Most reasonable people would find this sort of conduct repulsive, but, good loyal fellow traveller that you are, it's all just fine by you.

So yes, "Llarry" I understand. Perfectly.
