Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    November 13, 2007
    Keith Olbermann: Caught Again!

There really isn't much else to say about Olbermoronn's lunatic Veterans Day program after reading this. As always, Oralmann's cheap shots demonstrate that he is not just a slovenly political hack, but an ignorant, clueless slovenly political hack.

Krazy Keith also gets a mention in the latest installment of Newsbusted. Enjoy.

The link didn't work for me. If you have any problem just go to:

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/ken-shepherd/2007/11/13/olbermanns-cheap-shot-bush-veterans-day-speech

Par for the course for KO. So what else is new?

    Grammie

    "Mold to Velveeta"?

What pedestrian taste thinks of Velveeta in any context.

Or perhaps Pinot grigio complements Velveeta for those rare discerning palates such as Flucker?

    Grammie

Bobo, I didn't "admit" to anything. I stated that I was registered at Newsbusters.

There are multiple links there that allow anyone to pursue a story as deeply as they want to.

The vast majority of posters are conservative but I challenge you to show me hateful posts at Newsbusters that is in the same ballpark much less the same league as the rhetoric here.

Don't forget that we have many examples of calling others here c**ts, b*****s, Fag Hags, vermin, murderous traitors, inbred, Nazis, F**toid, and on and on and on.

I am all ears waiting for your expose of the hatefulness at Newsbusters.

    Grammie

"I recommend the cranberry-orange, but some like the lemon poppy seed."

Posted by: Anonymous at November 13, 2007 8:18 PM

Hope you aren't trying to get a buzz off the poppy seed muffin, Anon. Do be careful when you apply for employment if you munch on one though. Although the amount of opiates in poppy seeds is not enough to produce a narcotic effect in cooking or consumption, one could test positive for narcotics after consuming 4 poppy seed bagels. The show Brainiac: Science Abuse had subjects that tested positive with only 2 poppy seed bagels.

Enough of that. Olbermann is one of a handful of television news show hosts that has a national following. Although his audience is vastly smaller than O'Reilly's, his influence and exposure is outsize in comparison to his viewership mostly because of glowing and fawning over him by liberal media, Hollywood types and other leftist fringe discontents who are willing to make a pact with the devil: they don't care how disreputable and journalistically unethical he is, Olberamnn says what they want to hear, so his lies and distortions are overlooked and even applauded (just as you, Anonymous, overlook his lies and smears by engaging in faux meanderings as if such antics don't matter).

But such things do matter, Anon. When a person has a national stage and purports to report the "news", there are accompanying serious responsiblities that are far greater than the taste of the muffin that the maid brings by your 4 X 4 cubicle. Responsibilties for news reporting include telling the truth, fairly and completely reporting what news makers say and do, offering perspective from a variety of sources, irresptive of ideology, and refraining from sullying this national platform with antics such as settling personal scores and vendettas.

News reporting has had a long and important role in the the building and enrichment of our society. When the responsibilities that go with this tradiiton are handled with care and honor, news reporting has conferred a great benefit on our citizenry. In the hands of Olbermann the Clown, news reporting has been lowered to a game of cheerleading for favored groups and raspberries dealt out to those with whom you disagree.

Such besmirchment to the trade of news reporting should be confronted and exposed and that is something that OW does on a daily basis. Enjoy your muffins!

Olbermann needs to get over his own O"Reilly fetish. He's devoting 2 segment to him tonight. Really, isn't there anything else going on in the world? He might as well call it Countdown with BOR and KO.

Chicken Blogger, that made me laugh out loud.

    Grammie

O'Reilly fetish is right, Anon. Oralmann had absolutely nothing on "Bill-O" tonight (as usual). He mocked Bill for calling on people who attend the next Maverick game to hold up signs saying "Support the troops" to send a message to owner and financier Mark Cuban. He came to Cuban's defense, hinting that Cuban couldn't be anti-troops because they'll be handing out pro-military t-shirts! I guess in Olbyland that counteracts any loss of american life that may come about because of the violence incited by this movie.

Yeah, when I think of patriotism, the handsome bust of one Mark Cuban pops right into my head!

You mean like Fox 's obsession with pretty white teachers having sex with their students?

Posted by: Why Don't You Think at November 13, 2007 9:53 PM

    WDYT,

I seems that calling FNC's coverage of teachers having sex with sudents an"obsession" is a bit over the top. "Obsession" connotes constantly or at least habitually ruminating and talking about someone or something. I too think their coverage on this topic is excessive, but nowhere near an "obsession".

Now, the jealous fits that the mentally ill Olbermann has over O'Reilly on a nightly basis are properly observed as "obsessive"

Now, the jealous fits that the mentally ill Olbermann has over O'Reilly on a nightly basis are properly observed as "obsessive"

Posted by: hank at November 13, 2007 10:16 PM

And how else would you describe WDYT's jealous fits over students "scoring" with pretty white teachers...

"but instead...they head over to this site to call KO biased, a hack, HOW DARE HE ?

    Always makes me laugh !

Posted by: Why Don't You Think at November 13, 2007 10:11 PM

    WDYT,

You left something out WDYT. Yes, we certainly call Olbermann a hack and biased. This is because OW is replete with examples of Olbermann's lies and distortions, none of which you have ever challenged when presented to you. To anyone who actually reads and conprehends the documented lies of Olbermann, he offers no reason to place any credibility in him. Of course having struck the deal with the devil I mentioned above you don't care whether Olbermann lies, you simply will follow your cheerleader where he tells you to go.

    Newsbusters!
    Funny.
The most one sided really hateful web site going.
And have you ever read some of the posters?

    They are certifiable.
Everything and anyone who is moderate or liberal is the devil.
    Republican corruption and hypocrisy?
    They'll pass !

Posted by: Why Don't You Think at November 13, 2007 8:19 PM

think you may be as obsessed with this site as your hero the "Jock Sniffer" turned news guy is with O'Reilly. When this site is down for whatever reason, do we need to hide your shoe strings and take down the shower rods?
It’s clearly evident by the substance (snicker) of your posts, your intelligence is unrivaled by anyone else posting to this site (continued snickering). Instead of wasting your time here toiling with us peasants, I suggest you do the following:

    1. Work on updating your resume and submit it to the following email address:
    countdown@msnbc.com
When you submit your resume, include a copy of all your pubescent posts from this site in defense of KO. (Keith likes that kind of thing, you could become the next Brian Stelter.)
    2. Buy a “blue dress” for your interview!!
    3. You know the rest of what you have to do.

    P.S. Good luck.

It's Bush's war and no one else's; he should be at Arlington National Cemetary. Plain and simple. Plus, he snipes on veterans day like the fucking pussy he is.

    Worst. President. Ever.

Posted by: Republican Killa at November 13, 2007 11:29 PM

That was a very thoughtful post. When does the GED arrive in the mail?

    I'm confused. Is Countdown news?

Why is Keith show all about Bill? This man crush Keith has for Bill is embarrassing now. Like I said yesterday Keith and still say today -- angry sex -- it can help. All I'm saying is news, Keith, I thought it was supposed to be a news show. The show's purpose is supposed to be about informing the audience about what happened in the world. Not what Bill is or is not doing. If you're station, your show and you are all that, then the ratings will reflect that. But dissolving your show into name-calling is not only unprofessional but childish. Integrity, professional journalism--not school yard name-calling.

It's old Keith. That's all. It's old. Report news not gossip whether Bill’s rants, real/perceived, your reactions to them show an unprofessional conduct towards your colleagues.

    Republican Killa,

    Hey Dickey,

Why don't you post some more of those fruity pics of your self? And you still haven't told us about your NAMBLA convention in SF.

Wait, I thought that we've won. Let's get out of Iraq. The surge worked (of course, the drop in violence had nothing to do with refugees or the extensive ethnic cleansing) so let's get out of the country. Surged worked.

Is that thoughtful enough for you, Corky? Go join the other 24% of the country that still follows Chimpy McFlightsuit.

Posted by: Republican Killa at November 13, 2007 11:50 PM

Oh my, you called me Corky. How can I ever match such wit?

Bush is the “pussy” but the Democratic leaders in congress can't even summon the temerity to pass a bill cutting off the spending. I thought it was the reason you and the rest of left wing hacks worked so diligently to have them recapture the chairmanships of all the committees. Can you explain this to me there Stonewall Jackson?

Also, I am sure that Medea Benjamin will deliver the keynote next summer in Denver.

One final question, can you explain "Republican Killa". Is this just poor spelling or is there some other connotation behind this colloquialism?

In fairness, Judy, Mr. Olbermann did break the story about Judith Regan suing News Corporation (Murdoch) for trying to induce her to lie to the FBI and the US Attorney about her affair with the multiple count-indicted friend, confidant and business associate of Rudy Guiliani, Bernie Kerik, to protect Guiliani from damaging information during his presidential campaign. With Regan, Guiliani and Kerik, I am sure any sex would be angry, but this is a bit more than that, isn't it? Be fair, Judy.

This, coming from someone who has claimed they "rarely" watch the orange faced prick.

    Too damn funny! (*)[&](+)(-)......

Can someone please tell me why the Repukes don't discuss ANY republican candidates for president?

Posted by: at November 14, 2007 12:24 AM

Is Olbermann a Republican candidate for President? Gee, there must be a reason that Olbermann is discussed here a lot but not Republican presidential candidates. Can you guess what it is?

    "Too damn funny! (*)[&](+)(-)....."

Whats "funny" is that you're the only one laughing!

"Can someone please tell me why the repukes won't discuss ANY republican candidates for president."

Well, for one thing, their front runner, Mr. 911, married his second cousin...and it goes downhill from there.

Can you explain one benefit that has came America's way because of Bush's war? ...

Posted by: Republican Killa at November 14, 2007 12:28 AM

Well, fighting the war over there has prevented the terrorists from coming over here and blowing your sorry ass sky high . . . oh wait, you asked for a benefit from fighting the war on terror.

    Dickey,

Most of your favorite Dhimmicrats voted for that war. Five years ago people like Kerry, Edwards, and Hillary were sounding like they were ready to lead the cavalry right into Saddam's back yard. Now they claim they were dupped, or they didn't really mean it. They are about as stupid as a pasty faced queer like yourself who claims to have a hip hop attitude. Get outta here, you nitwit!

Sean Hannity @ 12:42: "They are about as stupid as a pasty faced queer like yourself"

Hey....you sound JUST like Sean Hannity!

You should be proud how well you've learned to immulate the king of all blowhards!

    Do you have amnesia?

Posted by: at November 14, 2007 12:45 AM

You can't even remember your name but I have amnesia? You Dhimmicrats are the biggest dumb fucks out there!

In September 2002, in the face of growing public skepticism of the Bush administration's calls for an invasion of Iraq, Edwards rushed to their defense in an op-ed article published in the Washington Post. In his commentary, Edwards claimed that Iraq, which had been successfully disarmed several years earlier, was actually "a grave and growing threat," and Congress should therefore "endorse the use of all necessary means to eliminate the threat posed by Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction." Claiming that U.S. national security "requires" that Congress grant President Bush unprecedented war powers, he further insisted, "We must not tie our own hands by requiring Security Council action ..."

July 29, 2002: Senator John Kerry, Speech To The 2002 DLC National Conversation, New York, NY
“I agree completely with this Administration’s goal of a regime change in Iraq – Saddam Hussein is a renegade and outlaw who turned his back on the tough conditions of his surrender put in place by the United Nations in 1991.” (Source: jim geraghty)

On Friday, the Factor beat Meltdown by over 500% in the key "demo". Actual ratings were through the roof (Keef was in the tub that night).

Last night (Monday) the Factor only beat Meltdown by 400% in the key demo. Actual ratings were much larger.

I thought that Keef was crowing about his demo numbers last week. I guess now, he's eating that crow.

    Earth to Sean Hannity!

Edwards made a big mistake....Edwards has admitting making a big mistake....If you admit to a mistake, you can move on.... The first step to correcting any mistake is admitting that you made it....to err is human....to stonewall is just repulsive!

    No Name,

If the surge keeps working people like Edwards, Kerry, and Hillary will start claiming that they were for it all along. We will be hearing things like "I was for it before I was against it but now I am for it again".

So, hypocrite mike, if the orange faced prick beat O'Reilly by 400% would you call all of the olbyloons 'morons,' too? Would said olbyloons 'love unintended comedy,' too? Let's hear it, loon.

You should be proud how well you've learned to immulate the king of all blowhards!

This comedy brought to us straight from a certifiable Olbyloon!

    "Lets hear it loon?"

Can't you just feel the hate coming off Jeff?

"if the orange faced prick beat O'Reilly by 400% would you call all of the olbyloons morons too?"

Uh, no Jeff, I'd just start to have hope that America was at long last waking up from it's ugly period of insannity we've been put through since 2002.

Ah, my son Mike you have done me proud! It is righteous of you to put down this devil O'Reilly who when push comes to shove always takes the side of his country.

I need many more like you who will spread my word, and condemn their country no matter what the loss to his fellow countrymen who are fighting against our jihad.

You have never been Fasigun to our lord and savior, and for this your rewards will be plentiful when you return to my cave!

Allah is behind you and all your fellow Americans who spit on any of the O'Reilly's, Rush's and their ilk who cherish their evil country above themselves!

Death and destruction to all who believe in their country except for ours!

They will suffer hudud as we both know while there is an Adn waiting for you because of your good deeds spreading your true hate for the country that you were unfortunately born into.

Iman, my son and our time is nearer than you think!

    Akuba! Ayeeeeee!!!!!

    Mike,

    It's "meant", not "mean't".

    "It's "meant", not "mean't."

Good to see you know SOMETHING, Sean old buddy!

    Mike,

Are you trying to "emulate" a smart guy? I will have you know that I spell good most of the time; more often than you do, perhaps!

If Olbermann spent as much time talking about me as he does about O'Reilly then that would take up the whole hour. There would be no time for Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears, and gossip with Michael Musto.

"O'Reilly always starts out with "The Far Left trying to change the country!"

Some of what you said about the O'Reilly show is true but the difference is O'Reilly always has an opposing view point on his show.
Some times he'll shout down the view point and act rude but other times Bill does get his head handed to him in debates.
Keith never has an opposing view point on his show, just a bunch of yes men.

And if Keith daily rant about Bill is to get ratings, then the man is a phony.
If his daily rant against Bill is because he truly dislikes him, then Keith needs to see a psychiatrist.
    Keith is obsessed with Bill.
Another dumb segment on Bill as if Bill was news.
And strangely not one word on the film "Redacted."
Heck, the film is out there for everybody to download.

"I will have you know that I spell good most of the time; more often than you do, perhaps!"

Good for you Sean! We all have our special talents.

Now I would suggest that you should start working on your illogical and overly partisan approach to politics.

    Really...you don't say?

If that's so true, then what am I personally running from?

Am I about to get blown up by an IED if I don't 'run away'?

Are YOU bravely standing in harm's way in Iraq because you refuse to 'run away'?

    Like I just said.....it's a stupid slogan!

Keithy is so brave challenging 'O'Lielly' to a debate...with someone else...on his show...with his moderating. And it won't be the first time Keith went against someone with a different viewpoint from his own...oh wait! It is the first time.

"Keithy is so brave challenging 'O'Lielly' to a debate..."

What does 'bravery' have to do with it?

Are you sick of being sick? Suffering way too much Bush-induced nausea? Well, tough
By Mark Morford, SF Gate Columnist
    Wednesday, November 14, 2007

    an excerpt:

Take this fine example: Keith Olbermann, as is his wont, executed another pitch-perfect bout of outrage recently on his excellent MSNBC show, taking BushCo to task on the issue of waterboarding like you never hear in major on-air media anymore.

Olbermann only barely held on to his trademark fierce hyper-articulation against the sheer disgust he/we have to endure at the idea that a sitting American president obviously thinks medieval torture is a gul-dang swell idea, no matter what psychologists, military experts, ethicists, the United Nations, the Geneva Convention and Jesus himself all say.

It was wonderful, powerful stuff, a razor-sharp, highly informed media pundit who dares to presume an unusually high level of intelligence among his viewers, speaking truth to power in a way most liberal media-haters complain never really happens anymore. And of course, his subject was one of the most deserving of our moral outrage in recent history.

But then I read some of the reaction to Olbermann's diatribe on various political blogs and on some news-aggregate sites, with many saying, gosh Keith, lighten up already, who cares, enough with all the outrage and the spittle, wow I'm so sick of all this ranting and raving and gosh I'm tired of these smarty media people telling me how to think and hey maybe torture is good let's kill us some more, haw haw haw snort.

The next time Keith visits his shrink
They'll discuss why his ratings stink
    He'll whine about Bill
    Are they bringing back Phil?

"Then tried to pretend an event remembering just four servicemen in Waco, Texas, was a quote, "National Fallen Soldiers Memorial Ceremony."

And how many servicemen need to be remembered in your eyes for it to "count," Keith? Are these four somehow not worthy of national thanks and commemoration? This statement is a slight and an insult to those four men.

Keith doesn't get it because he does nothing to honor the members of our military, living or deceased. He is a disgrace.

"It's not his job as a newsman to honor the military, fool."

No, but, it's the least the prick could do. BTW, he's not a 'newsman.' That's as funny as the olbyloon who claimed Olbyonesidedkanoby 'broke' a story, recently. Too damn funny! {+}...----

Posted by: at November 14, 2007 12:26 PM

Actually, am I mistaken or did Clinton bomb Iraq, Bosnia, and the Sudan, in an effort to bring greater stability to the world at large?

Didn't we bomb Germany, Japan, the Philippines and more, in order to achieve just that during WWII?

It certainly takes and has taken more than bombing, now and in other wars. and the results are still out for stabilizing the Middle East by going into Iraq.

However, the notion that it's a foregone conclusion that to "bomb into a country then bomb your way out" cannot work together with other things (such as troops on the ground...) in achieving the goal of helping to stabilize a region, is just some sort of simplistic rhetoric.

    "GOP your pants"

Seriously, how can anyone take this "newsman" seriously at all?

the main task of the media in the United States has always been to provide information which protects us from the government. That task has a renewed importance during the pendency of this Administration.
Posted by: Anonymous at November 14, 2007 11:32 AM

The peculiar little man, RK, doesn't understand this concept. It hasn't been discussed at Savage's website. He's not responsible for knowing anything other than what he reads on his far right sites.

He actually believes that the news media should praise the military and government.

Posted by: social worker at November 14, 2007 12:09 PM

Of course it's not the job of news reporters to be a cheerleader for the adminstration, but neither is it their job to be a cheerleader for discontented fringe left critics. This is the reason Olbermann has no credibility as reasonable observers of the media have readily observed.

Or, a cheerleader for the enemy as Olbyonesidedkanoby is.

It's easy to see who the enemy is. It's the President. I mean, it's the "Mister." Duh.

Olbermann pretends he supports the troops. He hates the military. He is a paranoid leftist ideologue and MSNBC has given him the keys to their future. Olbys big disgrace is looming...give him all the rope he wants.

Here in minnesota, we laugh at mid-20's white boys that use the term 'killa'. Usually, their mommies still have a "Wellstone" sticker on the back of the subaru. HA! pussy.

Ann, what you consider 'lies' many would consider 'common sense' of which you leftie paranoids have little of.

OLBERMANN: Nothing gets O‘Reilly to invent a phony crusade faster than when somebody slams him successfully.

Best line from last night. Gee, Olby, project much?

"So last night, right after sending his stalker producer out to ambush somebody else about whom Bill-O has an inferiority complex"

And another. Olby talking about anyone having an inferiority complex is, to say the least, rather ironic.

Bill O'lielly certainly came out of his moms other hole.

Wasted said: "Saying FoxNews isn't RW is like saying Countdown isn't LW. You're living a lie."

First of all, Fox News and MSNBC both have opinion commentators and opinion/analysis shows on thier networks. (although, keef still calls Meltdown a "news" program and himself as a "journalist").

Both news networks are like most newspapers- they have NEWS, generally on the front pages, then they have OPINION pages, and even comics and lifestyle articles.

Fox News is a news channel. Its reporting is straight. Most of its reporters were originally on other MSM outlets. That said, their OPINION shows (the editorial pages) mostly lean right. But, at least BOR routinely has guest on who actually DISAGREE with him, as opposed to keef who - as of this writing - has NEVER had on ANYONE with an opposing point of view. And thats okay. But the ratings reflect why his liberal echo chamber falls behind re-runs of Deal or No Deal on CNBC.

Then, there's H&C. The name of the show details that there is a CONSERVATIVE and a LIBERAL. They also frequently have on guests who DISAGREE. Keef does not. Again, the ratings reflect this.

I frequently tune in to very liberal, former democratic congressional candidate, and Carter staff member Chris Matthews ( me and 8 other people) because he will occassionally have on a differing opinion.

Liberals watch BOR and H&C because liberals appear on those shows.

Keef only preaches to eh (deranged) choir.
Thats why Meltdown is always dead last.

Do you have an actual response to my post, are just more liberal nonsense?

Fox news casters are to the right but they still have opposing view points on the network.
    Keith never does.

He has a party of the same agreeable zombies every night.
While Keith takes cheap shoots, personal insults and stretches the true he still never has counter points.

He complains endlessly about free speech but yet he doesn't let individuals with opposing views points on his show.
It's his own form of censorship.

    Republican Killa,

    Dickey,

your street cred is a little too fruity for me.

    Wasted Keystrokes,

Who exactly is a strong dem? Hillary? Joe Biden? Edwards? Obama? Bobby Byrd? Nancy? Harry?

I have to go with none of the above.

Wasted... even if your assertion of "FOX IS BIASED TO THE RIGHT" is correct, so what?

This list of news organizations biased to the left is catagorized as: "EVERYONE ELSE".

Right Wing: Fox News, WSJ Editorial Page
Left Wing: ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, CNN, CNNHN, PBS, Washington Post, NY Times, Boston Globe, LA Times, etc. etc. etc. (see a pattern here?)

    Wasted Keystrokes,

Actually, Colmes has been coming on stronger recently. I think it was last week he provoked the little rodent Dick Morris into a hissy fit. "How many people have you ever got elected to the US Senate?" It was funny.

"I too would like to see Keith have opposing views on his show. I think most people probably would.

It doesn't make FoxNews fair and balanced though. There are TONS of ways to stack the deck, and Fox uses ALL of them constantly."

    Posted by: Wasted Keystrokes

Most would like to see Keith have an opposing view point, except for Keith.
I don't watch all of Fox News programs, I would have to kill myself for that, but no news will ever be fair and balanced.

I can just take the two combatants that come on at the same time.
BOR does have opposing view points on his show and gets his lunch handed to him from time to time.

Heck, BOR even reads his own hate mail on air.
And why do people pick on Alan Colmes? Ok so he looks like a mummy but he does make good points.
You guys have to know that Alan has had his radio show for years, even before Fox News was born.

Oh God, and how long have I been hearing this crap.

Yes! you're right! Alan doesn't represent the kook-fringed left. But Keithie does! Look who has the better ratings.

For years Alan Colmes was on WEVD in New York. Along with Bill Mazer, Sidney Zion, Ed Koch, etc.

Hannity & Colmes wins their time slot almost every night.

If you think you can come up with a BETTER pairing of a Conservative & Liberal let's hear it. Or send it off to whoever is running that circus at MSNBC.

I'm sure if you have the winning combo that will beat FNC they would love to hear from you.

Until then, go join Randi down at the bar, she's probably on her tenth Bloody Mary at this point.

Hitler's little propagandist what's his name never had an opposing view, neither does Keith.

Hey! you gotta try to keep that illusion up for the mega-dose brains like WDYT.

And unless you've had you're brain soooo fried on the druggie grill that it looks like a Black-eyed pea. You realize that the first time, THE FIRST TIME! You're little Keithie has a real sit down debate, and it doesn't have to be with a Conservative it could be against Colmes!

    Prime slots eh?

Of course the much promoted 'Al Frankin' sit-coms got promoted, great time slots, DVD deals. and still couldn't make it through the first year. Both times they were tried!

And if I remember correctly, both shows were on NBC?

Wait! didn't the brass at NBC say that Keith was going to get 'spots' on the 'NBC Nightly News'?

What happen to that? Couldn't be those '3rd' & '4th' place finishes (DEMO) he's been getting lately?

All of this, and you CAN'T beat FNC.

Thats right! You can't beat FNC!

    You can't beat FNC!

No wonder why you're pissed off, or in WDYT's case on mega drugs!

Or in Keithie's case, whine, bitch, and moan on you're show every night.

All those years bitchin' about Bill and FNC and what?

    NOTHING!

Like that Woman said in that Video, MSNBC already has the 'NUT-CASE' Slot locked-up.
