Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    December 18, 2007
    Great Moments in Olbypocrisy: #175

Yet another in our continuing series of the hypocrisy and lies of Keith Olbermann.

Dec 1 2006: Keith Olbermann attacks (who else?) Bill O'Reilly. Based on a smear from Hillary Clinton's Media Matters, Oralmann states:

I hate to blow my own horn, Bill-O said to a guest, like that was true, but I don't know whether you were watching the Factor on the night that Saddam's statue fell, but what I said on the air, hey, look at these guys looting the armories. As soon as I saw that, I went holy you know what, there's no plan to institute marshal law and to take step by step reconstruction of this country. He didn't say anything like that. That was April 9th, 2003. What you did included, attacks on the losers of the war, like Howard Dean, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, al-Jazeera, the Russians, the French, the Germans, hysterical Hollywood celebrities, CNN, CBS, and ABC, and when that putz Dick Morris said that this would all mean the death of network news, you agreed with him. Holy you know what, Bill-O, you're a holy you know what liar.

Dec 14 2007: Keith Olbermann appears for a blue-dress interview with Bill Moyers on PBS. The ever-humble Keith notes how prescient he was on May 1 2003, the day of the "Mission Accomplished" speech:

I'm on the air with Chris Matthews on that day with miss-- mission accomplished on May 1st in 2003. And I-- and he's talking about this as George Bush's moment in history and this. And I said, "Don't you think that him wearing a flight suit's going to be a little bit of a problem during the election cam-- "No.

Edward R Olbermann, who saw what nobody else did, and saw it four years ago. Except, well, he didn't. Newsbusters dug out the transcript of that appearance with Chris Matthews, and Krazy Keith said nothing of the kind!

    Holy you-know-what, Keith. You're a holy you-know-what liar!

PS: The fact that the attack against O'Reilly proved to be a sleazy irresponsible smear just turns the irony dial to 11.

Krazy Keith has told many lies
    Bill attacks? The number defies
    Keith's web is tangled
    His memory mangled
On facts Keith no longer relies

He was extra deplorable in the blue-dress interview with Bill Moyers.

Moyer could not conceal his glee with the Olbermann interview.

A nice little "Holiday" gift to the blue blogs.

    Billo -

Can't we at least agree that Olbermann lies through his teeth? as evidenced by the transcripts?

He makes stuff up as he goes.

    The Artist FNA

NBC News Management - Al Jazeera @ 30 Rock.

    Billo:

    I'm quoting the transcript !
Are you saying this reporter manipulated the transcript?

    > Yep I am sure that Keith and that Bush voter Matthews never speak off of camera. He may have said that sitting in the make up chair, or during a break in recording..

Why should anyone assume that for Olby? Keith didn't give that assumption to O'Reilly when he smeared him as a liar.

I think Bill O has the Pot/Kettle syndrom when he mentions that Newsbusters doesn't allow differing opinions.

This from a guy who defends OlberPinn

Newsbusters... oh ok,, why not quote DU ? Newsbusters is a pathetic waste of time that does not allow differing opinions.

    Faux News...

News directly from the Death Camps of 1942 Germany. It is too bad that Michelle Malkin's parents were not put in camps and did not live to tell the story of what this country did.

Yep I am sure that Keith and that Bush voter Matthews never speak off of camera. He may have said that sitting in the make up chair, or during a break in recording.. This little shit is the best that Johnny Two Cents can come up with ?

Posted by: Bill O'lielly at December 18, 2007 6:18 PM

You must have really hit a nerve to get the lying left wing piece of shit Bill O'lielly to make three consecutive post.

For those with strong constitutions, MSNBC has a exerpt from Olbermann's new book.....It was put up yesterday.....

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22263664/

I have lived in the New York City metro area all of my 38 years (minus two in CT right after my residency training) and witnessed 9/11 first hand and the days after.....Olbermann is entitled to his own "story" on how 9/11 affected him however I have never heard such a self-centered, fear-filled story in the last 6 years. He actually claims to had been writing down the subway lines he was using so that he could let the authorities know where he was if he came down with a disease secondary to bio-weapon exposure.....

    Ok...

My memories, as are most normal people one meets, intitially involve what we all saw, did and lived in and around ground zero to help the people who had missing loved ones, supporting the workers with physical and spiritual comfort and basically working hard to fix the horrible travesty that was the worst terrorist attack on American soil....

Olbermann.....well.....I can't wait to read the rest of this one.....

I suspect I will have the same reaction that I did with WPITW.....

    So what.

I would be interested in other's comments regarding his reaction to someone judging him as "liberal," only a week after COUNTDOWN was on the air....I again had a pause when I read that whopper....

How far back to the show recaps go, J$? Olbermann claims he was not biased those first several weeks....I wonder.....

    Ok, Billo

so this was an off-line conversation between olbermann and Matthews?

How is the viewer supposed to discern this?
    Should we suspend disbelief?

    > How far back to the show recaps go, J$?

    Not that far.

He may have said that sitting in the make up chair, or during a break in recording...
Posted by: Bill O'lielly at December 18, 2007 6:18 PM

I think this part where Olbermann says to Moyers:

"I'm on the air with Chris Matthews on that day...And I said,..."

(hey Bill, try reading...its a wonderful thing).

cee, thanks for the link...I agree, I think this guy is absolutely delusional...I wonder if in ten years this stuff will be laughed at? I really think this man has become unhinged and deeply believes this (his own) reality HE is creating. Somewhat fascisnating really.

    from Olbermann's new book:

They’ve threatened my relatives, printed phony stories about nonexistent skeletons in imaginary closets, guaranteed my imminent dismissal, and even whined when I started writing again for a memorabilia magazine about old baseball cards (“How can you let that lefty back in your page?” the editor quoted one complainant).

Baseball cards. Some people are dumb enough to see a political slant to frickin’ baseball cards.

But amid all the tumult and the threatening and the name-calling, I have yet to see serious refutations of either the facts or the conclusions in these Comments.

"...printed phony stories about nonexistent skeletons in imaginary closets..."

I love that line! Talk about revisionist history...I wish that idoit Grove would print those emails...

Olby forgot to mention that he mailed himself soap powder. Gee, how did that slip his mind?

    KeithO "They've....guaranteed my imminent dismissal"

Uh, that one we are guilty of... the rest is pure bunk. Keith has way too many 'me-against-the-world' delusions.

PS. I sent those soap flakes because I heard his fat-folds begin to stink midway thru the telecast. Eh, My bad.

10 yrs? He's being laughed at, already. In 10 yrs Orangy will be long forgotten.

Agreed RK... The only people that don't think this losers dog and pony show isn't funny are his angry followers, preaching doom and gloom in America everyday. All republicans think he's a hack. And the nonloon democrats think he's unhinged.

That leaves the freaks that hold up cardboard boxes scrawled with "911 was an inside job". Quite a fan club!

Gotta go, hoops game and scotch isacalling!

eeewwwww, thanks for the graphic visual now permentaly burned into my mind ;)

    My question......Who are "they?"

    Cue GET SMART theme music....

I really expect some references to Murrow in this book...It is part of the legend Olbermann wishes to create....The sole "journalist" standing up against the fear and terror to show us all the real enemy.

My mind's eye sees the last scene of BODY SNATCHERS.

There have been great refutations of many parts of his Special Comments, some by your's truly....factual problems and assumptions that Olbermann does not verify through good journalism techniques.

I will have to trudge through them at some point to refresh my memory....

The other aspect of reality lost on Olbermann is the fact that no serious entity has taken him from the obscurity that is cable news.....(especially the ratings disaster that is MSNBC), and used his Special Comments to further investigate or prosecute the accusations he has made....They are archived here at OW and at MSNBC.com....that's it....no one with any national power or generally accepted credibility/objectivity has run with Olbermann and agree with him that he is the new E.R. Murrow.

A small increase in echo-chamber fringe leftist ratings that still has him in a distant second or third to his cable competition (let alone the rest of TV (Wheel of Fortune/Deal or No Deal/American Idol/America's Next Top Model [the masculine yet coitus starved Mr. blank-FLUCKER's {cue OLD SPICE jingle} fav] and the other millions of possibilities), does not mean much.

Also, a reality....."Keith Olbermann" is not a household name.

eeewwwww, thanks for the graphic visual now permentaly burned into my mind ;)

Posted by: WoW at December 18, 2007 7:39 PM

    Oh yeah? Try this.

How does Katie put up with those fat rolls during sex?

She will only let Keith stand at the foot of the bed and jack-off on her while she holds a copy of 'Journalism For Dummies' in front of her face so she doesn't see him and he doesn't get any jizz in her hair.

"The other aspect of reality lost on Olbermann is the fact that no serious entity has taken him from the obscurity that is cable news.....(especially the ratings disaster that is MSNBC), and used his Special Comments to further investigate or prosecute the accusations he has made....They are archived here at OW and at MSNBC.com....that's it....no one with any national power or generally accepted credibility/objectivity has run with Olbermann and agree with him that he is the new E.R. Murrow."

    Very good Cee!

Why hasn't anybody taken these Bombshell reports from Olby and run with them?

To add, wasn't Olby supposed to get spots on the NBC Nightly News?

Did that get put on hold?

Or did somebody say, No f**king way!

If the best he can get is Bill Moyers, he has taken that 'One Step Beyond' into kookland!

Benson: "That leaves the freaks that hold up cardboard signs scrawled with "911 was an inside job. Quite a fan club."

Now Benson, just when I'm starting to believe that YOU'RE not 'unhinged' yourself, you cross over the line and go and say something like THAT!

No Benson, you're WRONG. Most people who like KO do NOT believe 911 was an inside job, nor has KO ever even HINTED that he believes such nonsense either.

I hate to keep pointing this out because .right wingers just plain don't want to hear it, .... but there are PLENTY of conspiracy theorists on the RIGHT as well.

Sorry, but the left does NOT have a monopoly on the nuts! Continuing to imply otherwise hurts your won credibility.

You may not LIKE or agree with Keith Olbermann...I fully accept that...but the man is NOT "unhinged"...and certainly he is not any more "unhinged" than your president, Glenn Beck, Shaun Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, and a whole host of personalities on the right are "unhinged".

Earth to Benson!.....Come on back down to Earth. I happen to believe you're better than that.

    Don't prove me wrong.

What an opportune time for my cable to go out - right when Meltdown is starting.

    Don't prove me wrong.

Posted by: Mike at December 18, 2007 8:22 PM

You, be wrong? "Mr. President, resign!" Olbermahn. That's not unhinged? Please, post some evidence of Beck, Hannity or O'Reilly being 'unhinged.'

But Jeff, you didn't post any "evidence" of Olbermann being unhinged either.

    Puck asked:

"How does Katie put up with those fat rolls during sex?"

I'm not sure what the answer is, but we all know that she doesn't have to go through it for to long; nor is their much to feel.

"Mr. President, resign!" Olbermahn. That's not unhinged?

    Can't read, hack?

"Mr. President, resign!" Olbermahn. That's not unhinged?"

    Uh...NO!

Fighting the fictional "War on Christmas".

    Now THAT'S "unhinged"!

Once again, Olbermann is proven to be a liar with his own words and his storm troopers are out in full force defending him by trying to change the subject and calling for the death of conservatives and O'Reilly.

When did Olberman have to pay out 10 million dollars for a sexual harrassment suit ?

Posted by: Bill O'lielly at December 18, 2007 8:58 PM

Do Rebecca Lobo and restraining order ring a bell moron?
Another atheist making death threats. Are you from Columbine, O'lielly?

Factor: "do Rebecca Lobo and restraining order ring a bell moron?"

You mean that "restraining order" that WASN'T taken out?

Rico: "I think all athiests should be crucified immediately"

Is that before or after your other suggestion of exterminating all muslims is carried out?

    Fuck you Rico

    Fuck you - The Factor

    Fuck you cee

i saw the bill moyers interview and it was fascinating. it reveals so much about olby, his bosses at msnbc, and his general schtick. basically hes an actor, out for ratings, is not interested in the whole story, but superficial goals. his quest for ratings, which he's so proud of (in the msnbc world hes bigtimes ratings) still falls short, trailing his idol, O'reilly.

    Fuck you olbyhater

It's funny how you see what you want to see Olbyhater.

I saw the interview as well and have no clue how you came to the conclusions you came to at 12:14 AM?

Like I said....you 'saw' what you wanted to see!

Some dumbass has stolen my name. That was not me at 11:40.

    Mike,

Plus, as you must remember, I have already stated in the past that I am not religious and am not a Christian.

Sorry Rico....I should have realized that someone might be playing sick games again.

    > Some dumbass has stolen my name. That was not me at 11:40.

According to the IP address, it was someone whose favorite word is "bovine".

Like I said....you 'saw' what you wanted to see!

While you didn't see what you didn't want to see......

    Johnny Dollar,

What I like about this site is that it is so easy to post here. I guess it's too easy to post here.

Well I agree with that. I've encouraged Mr Cox to require registration so that we'd have some consistency in that regard, but he has always thought such procedures discourage full participation.

Sorry Rico....I should have realized that someone might be playing sick games again.

Posted by: Mike at December 19, 2007 1:05 AM

Good thing, Rico noticed and Johnny confirmed it.

If it had gone down any other way you'd be waxing on and on about false accusations and paranoia.

    Ironic, isn't it....

Well I agree with that. I've encouraged Mr Cox to require registration so that we'd have some consistency in that regard, but he has always thought such procedures discourage full participation.

I wish Bob would change his mind. I think registration would help the atmosphere around here considerably.

"if it had gone down any other way you'd be waxing on and on about false accusations and paranoia."

    Huh.....excuse me?

I accepted Rico's explanation immediately and apologizied for my sarcastic answer to what I accepted as a tonque in cheek provocation by Rico.

So exactly what did THAT have to do with false accusations?

I don't doubt you'd have taken the word of anyone who was being namejacked.

However, if Rico hadn't been around and it had just been Sharon or me or RK casting doubts, you'd have been off to the races.

Until Johnny confirmed the suspicion, that is. Then there would have been the ever so logical cries of "snitching"...from one quarter or another.

According to the IP address, it was someone whose favorite word is "bovine".

Shocker. He did the same thing last night.

What ever you do, 'mike,' DO NOT call your buddy, patsy, a troll.

"However, if it had just been Sharon or me or RK casing doubts, you'd have been off to the races."

I doubt it. For one thing, I didn't take the comment as being dead serious, and that's why I gave such a sarcastic answer.

That said....why be so quick to finger or cast doubt...when you don't know?

"What ever you do, 'mike', DO NOT call your buddy, Patsy, a troll.

First off, I don't have any 'buddies" on this blog.

Second, the one you refer to as "Patsy" knows full well I don't personally like the way he acts on this blog. He's even acknowledged that himself.

I think it's a shame because I've seen that he is plenty capable of making some pretty articulate and persuasive arguments...if he just would.

That said....why be so quick to finger or cast doubt...when you don't know?

I'll remember that the next time someone posts something outlandish under your name.

I'd have no difficulty accepting that whatsoever.

As far as we know via Johnny, when you say things outlandish, you do it under a made up name.

"Ask yourself the same question, Nimrod."

When exactly did I finger someone for posting under other names, before I knew?

    Thats YOUR gig.....nimrod!

"As far as we know via Johnny, when you say things outlandish, you do it under a made up name."

"Particularly, after reading your post here today sniping at others for being suspicious that such activity continues around here."

You mean "sniping" at others for refusing to even accept J$'s word as the final authority because it didn't fit someone's original expectations?

That said, even if you refuse to accept my integrity, do you REALLY think I haven't noticed that J$ wouldn't let ME get away with it?

    I said that?

Fuck all Republicans. You have cost our country yet undiscovered harm for decades to come. Fuck you. Fuck you.

The republicans have spent the last 7 years exposing liberals as the hate mongers they have accused the republicans of always being.

"cost our country yet undiscovered harm for decades to come"
The mantra of the unhinged democrat.

That is the fear baiting and logic that they think will win back the white house. Aint gonna happen.

    The elephant in 2008!

ANON- Old news. Its the Times just stringing it out like the Plame Affair.

    Benson,

Joe Wilson was on Imus in the Morning after his wife's name appeared in the Novak column. Imus asked him what they did when they read the column, wondering if they hid under the bed or something out of fear. Wilson's reaction was strange. He kept saying that they didn't know what to think. Imus kept pressing him, asking if they wanted to hide, what was their reaction, but he was very unemotional in his response, saying that they didn't know what to think. I always thought that was strange. Since Imus in the Morning is defunct, I don't know how to get a transcript of that. I think it was a phone interview, but I can't remember. He appeared on lots of tv shows but this was pretty early on. I would have expected his answer to have been "Those $#@!" Or at least "That $#$*! to Novak."

I wish Bob would change his mind. I think registration would help the atmosphere around here considerably.

    I vote yes.

What you don't understand is a coverup would not have included the announcement that we "destroyed the tapes."
It would have had a Sandy Berger moment... complete with a few months of denial of the action.

I actually hope Bush had prior knowledge of this action, because I entirely agree that the tapes should have been destroyed. The interogation of terroists should NOT be politicized. And it has been.

People who approved waterboarding at the time are now denouncing it. (Pelosi) Sounds remarkably similar to the Iraq war vote. Politicizing should not have hypocrisy. its why democrats are losing their moral footing. You can't have it both ways. FE: Murtha CAN criticize the war. He always has. Hillary cannot.

So Congress has no authority to investigate our interogation procedures after it came out that 4 years ago they allowed it.

More important news comes from The Senate.....

Senate approves $70 billion for wars

    ###
And who was the only PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE to vote on this MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE?....

Was it anti-Iraq War Senator Obama?

    No.

Was it "I voted for the war before I turned against it, now I am against it unless I am for it" Senator Clinton?

    No.

Was it the other Senator from Connecticut who deserted his friend and collegue in 2006 only now to be bending over once again to the fringe of his party regarding FISA, Chris Dodd?

    No.

Was it the democratic party's "foreign policy" guru and self proclaimed braniac, Senator Biden?

    No.

The only Presidential candidate willing to commit to our troops was.....

    SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN....Republican.....

'Arizona Republican John McCain, a stalwart war supporter, was the only one of the Senate’s five presidential candidates present for the vote on the amendment, which he supported.'

He joined a long list of democrats including Senator Webb and Senator Levin to give President Bush EXACTLY what he requested for our wonderful troops in Afghanistan and Iraq

"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration's policies in Iraq. Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back." NYT 1/28/07

"If we end up saying that because these people are committing these acts of terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan, that we shouldn't have done the removal of Saddam or the removal of the Taliban, then we are making a fundamental mistake about our own future, about security, about the values we should be defending in the world." TONY BLAIR

"You can't bring the troops home if you give George Bush $100 billion to wage this war. You're not supporting them. You're keeping them in harm's way." CINDY SHEEHAN

"There is no doubt ... that Al Qaeda is operating in Iraq. There is no doubt that we've had to take very strong measures against them. And there is no doubt that the Iraqi security forces have got to be strong enough to be able to withstand not just the violence that has been between the Sunni and the Shia population and the Sunni insurgency, but also Al Qaeda itself." GORDON BROWN

"People of America: the world is following your news in regards to your invasion of Iraq, for people have recently come to know that, after several years of tragedies of this war, the vast majority of you want it stopped. Thus, you elected the Democratic Party for this purpose, but the Democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning. On the contrary, they continue to agree to the spending of tens of billions to continue the killing and war there." OSAMA BIN LADEN

Anon, 'mike' is referring to his sister. The 'evangelical christian/conservative.' In his mind, she represents the majority. He can't go more than a few days w/out bringing her up. I wish he would invite her to post here so she can see his lunacy and speak for herself. I have a feeling we're not getting the whole story. A right winger who thinks 9/11 was an inside job? I've never heard of one. Except, that is, 'mike's' 'sister.'

ANON You are correct on the authority -
I meant to say in my mind- that the congress lost the moral authority when they approved it years ago.

As for the Cheney and Bush departure... I welcome it too. Sick of defending them from rabid leftwingers that view every misstep as corrupt and calculated. And I am assured that the same tactics this administration used to protect this country, (that the left has criticized) like wire taps and bullish international diplomacy (Iran), will continue- by a new democrat or republican president. Because letting up on the throttle against the threat of terrorism is a HUGE mistake.

And, as mike will see, when Bush leaves, the international community that supposedly hates this country, will embrace the new leader and begin kissing our ass again... republican or democrat.

Mike's sister would be more than welcome and I for one would accept her posts at face value....

I am kind in giving others the benefit of the doubt.....

"The hell with both of them!"

Mr. blank-FLUCKER (cue OLD SPICE jingle) last night.....

    "Bring it on."

Mr. blank-FLUCKER (cue OLD SPICE jingle) this morning....

"On the positive side, she would be serving up Cee's and Johnnie-Jeff's asses to them very quickly and often."

    Mr. blank-FLUCKER now.....

Oooooo....the boys must be out......Ms. blank-FLUCKER (cue 'Cause I'm a Woman, W-O-M-A-N) left the keys out to the testicle lock box and our resident leftist elitist is having some fun.....

    Oooooo.....the testosterone is flowing!

The man who suggested my good friend and neighbor Lou was not who she said she was actually projects his dishonesty to the never-changed-my-name Cecelia or Sharon.....

let alone....I have never changed my name.....

Registration is necessary for such ethical individuals like Mr. blank-FLUCKER (cue OLD SPICE jingle).....let's have it, then.

PS, Please ask her to join us.....I will afford her the same degree of respect afforded to Lou by everyone except you and wannawipe.

I have just now looked at this site for the first time since last night (by scrolling UP), and I see that my SISTER, who lives 50 miles away and fears the internet.....has somehow been invoked into these discussions.

I just can't wait and scroll up some more and find out how THIS bit of irrational nonsense has evolved?

Yes, I am a spooky beast.

    Benson,

I agree with your 11:17 comment. Well said.

I also am agree with you about the destruction of the CIA tapes. Nothing positive would have come out of that public airing.

    am in agreement with you

In the history of this site, has Mike ever contributed anything that worth a shit?

OH.....now I see....I should have known.....It was JEFF who started this thing about my sister.....The official OW instigator....hard at work.....AGAIN!

And lo and behold, Jeff is lying once AGAIN when he says "he can't go more than a few days without bringing her up"!

I have mentioned my sister maybe two or three times simply as an example. I have mentioned the FACT that conspiracy theory believers inhabit BOTH sides of the spectrum more often, but NOT because of my sister. She is nothing more than ONE example.

Meanwhile, Jeff continues on with his irrational preoccupation with the personalities and names of other posters on this board while pretty much ignoring rational disussion about ISSUES and public COMMENTATORS!

That said, I would not dream of subjecting my sister, who is a very fine person in every way, to the abuse piled onto those who DARE to criticize this administration or show any support for what Keith Olbermann represents.

And Cee, YOU are one of the most abusive abusers of them all....albeit in your own slightly more eloquate way! While I can accept your repeatedly calling ME something like "anti - American", or "whiney", and respond in kind, the first I saw you do something like that to my honorable sister would indeed make me very angry.

Are there NO depths some of you people will not sink to?

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha now the world sees and knows what I have known all along.....You are a lewser, trapped with Mom's welfare check, alone, peeing on yourself, walking around in a bathrobe waiting for the check to come so you can get some smokes at the piggly wiggly

Bottom line dewsh....You are the self appointed mayor of Olbermann watch by your incessant idiotic rantings , you just ownt leave, you post here forever, and as far as Im concerned, if I see you in your weeney fights at 4am in the morning, it validates the fact that you are a shut in turd who wont leave Mom alone

Enough Man, leave, good lord, you have to post and respond to every fracking comment here, cant people just comment here without you freaking chiming in?

Good lord enough Turd, flush yourself away

Cee: "Please ask her to join us.....I will afford her the same degree of respect afforded to Lou except for you and wannawipe"

WHO exactly are you referring to here, Cee....My sister again?

And WHO exactly are you referring to with your "you" comment?

If you'll remember, I personally gave "Lou" the utmost respect after she posted, even though Jeff kept needling me to "debate" with her.

An open Letter to his royal Highness of turdness-----

Please, spare me your pathetic railings about your sister as the whole world knows you are a double and triple and quadruple poster prone to starting fights with himself so you can display your rapier wit

For everyone on the right who foolishly accepts the fallacy that THEIR side is holier than thou side,....and our side is the one that behaves badly, check out 1:49 PM.

Your cohort there constantly hides under a characture of my name in the process of acting like an absolute lunatic and hypocrite on this blog,....using profanity and inane stereotypes in his self appointed 'role' as the official OW monitor to 'rid' it of those who he deams unworthy of participation.

Take him and embrace him....he is one of yours!

    9:53 AM:

"I disagree with your contention that 9-11 was an inside job is equally populated by both lefties and righties."

"I pick up my coffee every morning at a coffee shop that neighbors an anti-war office."

THIS Is apparently the comment that inspired Jeff to drag my sister into this thing!

The poster apparently doesn't even see the logical fallacy that he has included in his own argument. The key words are "neighbors an anti-war office".

You see anon 9:53, the vast majority people who accept conspiracy theories are not associated with anti-war offices, nor do they harass motorists in the street with cardboard signs. You are talking about the radical of the radical.

Cee: "to the never-changed-my-name Cecelia or Sharon...."

Actually, you are incorrect. Sharon has changed her name....from "Sharm to Sharon."

Nothing at all wrong with what she did....you just needed to be corrected.

    Sorry Mike 9;53 was me...

I was responding to your reply last night stating that the conspirators come from both sides of the aisle. The people coming from the anti-war office/store are the ones that hold the sign every morning. Its bizarre. They are all liberals. I stopped in to meet them (more curiousity than open-mindedness)

The LIBERAL 911 conspirators think Bush is bad to the core and created the tragedy to push his agenda. Its bunk! Rosie Odonnel- and this entire anti-war office share this view. As do countless other of her fans judging by the responses on her blog"

I cannot think of why a republican would be a 911 conspirator. Are you referring to the people with the Davidian Compound mentality? If so, they are a supreme minority.

PS. Sorry- I did not mean this topic to start off another 'beat-up-mike' thread. Just disagree that conspirators come equally from both sides.

Benson: "I cannot think of a reason why a republican would be a 911 conspirator"

    1) - I cannot think of a valid reason for ANYBODY to be a 911 conspirator...given the overwhelming prepondurance of facts and evidence to the contrary.

    2) - I didn't assert that there were that many REPUBLICAN 911 conspirators ( don't know about that),....just that the RIGHT has their fair share as well (every right winger is not a republican).

I for one, grow very tired of having the most radical conspirators shoved in my face as if I were one of them. And I believe that most of us who RATIONALLY oppose what this administration has done to our country feel the same.

As for "another beat-up-mike thread", trust me, I can take it.

That said, I do respect how YOU are one of the few on your side who seems capable of showing mutual respect to your ideological opposition without stooping to the level of questioning their patriotism, profanity, stereotyping, or other such uncalled for straw men.

Also, I hope you have noticed the raunchy tactics displayed at 1:49 and 1:54 and will repudiate that kind of sleaze?

Mike- I know its hard to stay above the sewer's fray... and I respect the fact that you and anon do follow the golden rule. When people respect your opinions, you respect theres... even if you wholeheartedly disagree. Some days are better than others, but lately its been quite hateful... fight the good fight buddy.

8:53 Anon throws another Times article down as proof of another coverup.

Its beginning to blow up in their left-slanted face. The white house is pushing hard for a retraction after it has been found that they based their assertions on 'one' vague statement among many interviews. Hardly the solid and impartial reporting they proclaim to champion!

Read the article and then read how they came to the conclusions. Shameful!

JERRY FALWELL: And I agree totally with you that the Lord has protected us so wonderfully these 225 years. And since 1812, this is the first time that we've been attacked on our soil and by far the worst results. And I fear, as Donald Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense, said yesterday, that this is only the beginning. And with biological warfare available to these monsters -- the Husseins, the Bin Ladens, the Arafats -- what we saw on Tuesday, as terrible as it is, could be miniscule if, in fact -- if, in fact -- God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.

PAT ROBERTSON: Jerry, that's my feeling. I think we've just seen the antechamber to terror. We haven't even begun to see what they can do to the major population.

JERRY FALWELL: The ACLU's got to take a lot of blame for this.

    PAT ROBERTSON: Well yes.

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, I totally concur, and the problem is we have adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government. And so we're responsible as a free society for what the top people do. And, the top people, of course, is the court system..

JERRY FALWELL: Pat, did you notice yesterday the ACLU and all the Christ-haters, People For the American Way, NOW, etc. were totally disregarded by the Democrats and the Republicans in both houses of Congress as they went out on the steps and called out on to God in prayer and sang "God Bless America" and said "let the ACLU be hanged". In other words, when the nation is on its knees, the only normal and natural and spiritual thing to do is what we ought to be doing all the time - calling upon God. ~~~

In an interview with Playboy magazine, Olbermann claimed Fox News is more “dangerous” than al-Qaeda. Give it thirty seconds of thought. On one side, al-Qaeda slaughtered 3,000 Americans on 9/11. On the other side, Fox News, well, they’re dangerous because some of their pundits are...rude to liberal Democrats?

Here’s Olbermann’s actual outpouring of idiocy: “Al Qaeda really hurt us, but not as much as Rupert Murdoch has hurt us, particularly in the case of Fox News. Fox News is worse than Al Qaeda, worse for our society. It’s as dangerous as the Ku Klux Klan ever was.” This is not an outburst that erupted on TV or the radio. He sat down with Playboy and spelled this out for transcription and editing. He did not add, “Just kidding! Hey, did someone spike my coffee?”

It is from the National Enquirer, but you heard it here first. This could put Hillary out front again... if she picks up the scorned wife voters from Edwards. I hope not.

Enquirer Update: The Rielle Strange Confrontation —
    And Her Odd Denials

While the John Edwards campaign has failed to release any statements on the matter yet, the National Enquirer has now updated its story regarding a possible Edwards love child with former staffer Rieille Hunter (aka Lisa Druck):

The ENQUIRER spotted Rielle — visibly pregnant in a black sweater and loose-fitting slacks — leaving her OB/GYN’s office in Cary, N.C., on Dec. 12.

And when asked for a comment about her relationship with Edwards by an ENQUIRER reporter, Rielle responded: “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Asked why she was living in Young’s gated community, she answered: “I have no idea what you are talking about.”

When asked who fathered her baby, she answered: “I have no idea who you’re talking about or what you’re talking about.”

She even denied that she was Rielle Hunter!
But things changed dramatically when The ENQUIRER contacted Edwards for a comment just days later.
Edwards’ lawyer called The ENQUIRER and denied the well-coiffed Democratic candidate is the father of Rielle’s baby, adding that Rielle would deny it as well.

A day later, in a shocking twist, the attorney for Mr. Young issued a statement that Young fathered Rielle’s baby!

“Andrew Young is the father of Ms. Hunter’s unborn child,” declared his Washington, D.C.-based attorney.

“Sen. Edwards knew nothing about the relationship between these former co-workers, which began when they worked together in 2006.

“As a private citizen who no longer works for the campaign, Mr. Young asks that the media respect his privacy while he works to make amends with his family.”

Neither Young nor Rielle offered any evidence of their prior romantic relationship, and both turned down an ENQUIRER request to take polygraph tests on the claim that Young fathered her child.

Now some insiders wonder whether Young’s paternity claim is simply a cover-up to protect his longtime pal Edwards.

“If you have an alternate explanation for a scandal, you don’t take 24 hours to offer that explanation, let alone days or weeks,” a political insider told The ENQUIRER.

Simply put, Edwards could have nipped the earlier cheating scandal in the bud by instructing his aides to explain that Rielle had been romantically involved with a married man on the campaign. But he didn’t.

Instead, Rielle has been telling a confidante that Edwards is the father of her child.

Cartoon that references Olbermann----the creepy thing is the "dad" looks like Olbermann and the "daughter" is named Kate.....

Mike, I was having yet another one sided conversation with the board's elitist, Mr. blank-FLUCKER (cue OLD SPICE jingle) or what he has called himself today....A N O N Y M O U S....It was his sister in the his post just above mine I was referring to, "you" was him, and he and wannawipe were less than cordial towards my good friend and neighbor, Louise.

Yes, you were respectful towards Lou, thank you.

I would not be abusive towards your sister, especially if she was simply posting an opinion she held that did not involve the term "chickenhawk" or "flat-earther fundamentalists."

BTW, Mr. blank-FLUCKER (cue OLD SPICE jingle) brought your sister up TODAY, when he and I seemed to be the only posters here so although RK brought her up anew yesterday, someone else is guilty of using her as a cheap shot towards some on this site....

Just like that same person used TOYS-for-TOTS to taunt and try to define some imaginary scrooge who has a fading BUSH/CHENEY '04 bumper-sticker on their Bently.

From today's press release by MSNBC:

"Countdown with Keith Olbermann" continues to grow at an amazing rate in 2007, beating CNN for the year in both total viewers and the 25-54 demographic. At 8 p.m. ET, MSNBC is up 55% in total viewers (743,000 vs. 479,000) and 39% in A25-54 (260,000 vs. 187,000). CNN ends the year with 100,000 fewer total viewers in the time period than MSNBC, down 2% (642,000 vs. 656,000) and up 9% in A25-54 (209,000 vs. 192,000). Fox News is up 7% for the year in P2+ (2,263,000 vs. 2,118,000) and up 4% in A25-54 (470,000 vs. 450,000).

Yeah, Papa Bear is still on top for the time period, but sufficiently spooked that he won't allow himself (or his callers!) to as much as utter Olbermann's name. Heh.

    Here's to 2008!

    Cheers,
    Robin Michael

I have just now looked at this site for the first time since last night (by scrolling UP), and I see that my SISTER, who lives 50 miles away and fears the internet.....has somehow been invoked into these discussions.

I just can't wait and scroll up some more and find out how THIS bit of irrational nonsense has evolved?

'mike,' You brought your sister up first. Stop pointing your finger and playing the blame game. Many more than '2 or 3 times,' too. How many times have I told you to think before you post? Sheeeesh.

patsy, tell us, how many sites have you been banned from? Just curious.

    For Robin:

    Olbermann down in the "demo"

The most contested hour of each weeknight continued to be a three-way race for second place, as FNC?s The O?Reilly Factor grew 11 percent at 8 p.m. (2.3 million), while boosting its demo share by 4 percent (474,000). Behind O?Reilly, the surging MSNBC program Countdown with Keith Olbermann grew 15 percent to 793,000 viewers, although it dipped 7 percent in the demo, averaging 248,000 25-54s versus its Nov. 2006 tally (266,000).

patsy, you really should take 'mikes' advice.

Jeff: "How many times have I told you to think before you post."

YOU are the one who doesn't THINK on this blog. I just can't decide whether it is because you can't, .... or you won't.

Once again, you LIED once AGAIN when you claimed I bring up my sister every few days. I have RARELY ever mentioned my sister on this blog.

And yes, you DID drag my sister into something she had no business being dragged into.

NOW I see that you've bought right into the shameless 'story' about John Edwards, even though you have absolutely NOTHING to go on but innuendo printed by a magazine famous for it's sleaze.

Look at your posts over a period of time Jeff.....you have no shame.....you have no honor.....you have no courage.....you have no honesty.....you have no humility.....you're not very smart.....and apparently, you have no conscience either.

'mike,' you brought your sister up, first. Cry all you want, big boy.

("I have RARELY ever mentioned my sister on this blog.")

Is it '2 or 3 times' or is it 'rarely?' When you claimed your sister, the 'evangelical christian' is a 9/11 conspiracy believer, you made her known, not us. If I claim I have a brother who is a liberal and eats dog shit for dinner, then he's fair game, right? Get over it. Think before you post.

Jeff: "Is it '2 or 3 times' or is it 'rarely?:.....WHICH of those two choices means "he can't go for more than a few days w/out bringing her up".

Once again...you are a pathological LIAR!

This is NOT just about my sister, it's about YOU...your lack of honor, ... your lack of shame, ... your lack of honesty, ... your lack of accountability for your own actions.

    You are pathetic!

On the other hand, you seem to have ALL the traits that makes someone a sleaze.

I see, the rule is only 'mike' can bring up his sister to make conservatives look stupid. But, no one can question the authenticity of 'mikes' claims or make refernce to his sister, who he brought up in the first place. Makes sense, now. Got it.

On the other hand, you seem to have ALL the traits that makes someone a sleaze.

Jeff: "I see, the rule is only 'mike' can bring up his sister to make conservatives look stupid."

Only YOU would see it that way. The ongoing attempt here is to try to make "liberals" look stupid by falsely claiming that THEY are the ONLY ones who have conspiracy theory believers.

I never claimed the FACT that they have their share of conspiracy believers makes conservatives look stupid....It doesn't, any more than it makes liberals look "stupid"!

That said, My sister isn't "stupid"....but YOU certainly seem to be!

Also,....YES damnit, I DO expect you to take at face value things I say about my family, friends, or experiences!.....Just as I take at face value what you say about yours, and just as I take at face value what others say about their's.

If we're going to assume each other is lying about things as basic as THAT, which obviously can't be practically 'proven', then why in the hell are we bothering to discuss anything at all?

If you STILL can't see where you crossed the line in not only bringing my sister up, but then lying about how often I've mentioned her, and then categorically stating that she simply CAN'T believe what I said she believes, .... then you have no business being on a discussion blog.

(she simply CAN'T believe what I said she believes), .... then you have no business being on a discussion blog.

One more thing before I gotta go to bed.
Jeff likes to pretend he's Randy "Macho Man" Savage.
We went to the tractor pull last weekend and he fooled two little ol guys into thinkin he was the real deal. He kept sayin "Oooh yeahh" and had on cool shades.

He told me anyone with the name Savage is a real man. Not some librul fag. Then he begged me to recreate the famous title match from Wrestlemania 4, and of course I had to luze. Jeff always does that. I can never be Macho Man.

    Thank you Johnny, THANK YOU!

Best part of the piece, McCool....

"If you think any of the preceding facts can falsify global warming, you're hopelessly naive. Nothing creates cognitive dissonance in the mind of a true believer. In 2005, a Canadian Greenpeace representative explained 'global warming can mean colder, it can mean drier, it can mean wetter.' In other words, all weather variations are evidence for global warming. I can't make this stuff up."
