Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    January 2, 2008
Countdown with Keith Olbermann - January 2, 2008

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • IOWA CAUSUSES: David Shuster, Jonathan Alter
    • REPUBLICANS ARE VICIOUS MORONS: Eugene Robinson
    • OLBY'S WATER TORTURE: Olby & the Perfessor

It's a new year, and that means the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann starts fresh giving us material for our Top Ten Olbermann Lies of 2008. Our work begins now--it's the opening spiel: Iowa! Huckabee goes on Leno. Campaign ads. "Republicans" attack each other (but Dems don't?). Oh goodie, the "torture tapes" again. Plus Hollywood scandals. All that and more on hump day at Olbermann Watch.

Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly book Culture Warrior

#5: Kucinich asks supporters to back Obama as their second choice. Dems make direct appeals to voters with ads (clips from Hillary, Obama, Edwards). Slippery Shuster recapped caucus rules, to which Herr Olbermann said "that begs the obvious question...". Um, no it doesn't. It raises the question, not begs it. Keith the ace wordsmith dazzles the ignorant once again. Bathman tried to dismiss the recent poll that shows Obama surging ahead of Hillary, and Robin sort of played along but noting how accurate the Des Moines paper has been in the past. Oddly, Slippery got Thanksed, but not Great Thanksed.

Next, lefty Alter was there to critique the wisdom of Iowa having caucuses. It's "pretty troublesome" he noted, apparently preferring that campaigns all be conducted with national tv ads and appeals to big cities. More deep thoughts from lefty: nobody knows who will win, "a win is a win"... these are the dazzling insights that make him a regular on The Hour of Spin. He was not Great Thanksed but he was Pleasured.

#4: After the reverential treatment of the kindly Dems, with no talk of any attacks on each other, no gaffes, no insults, the tone changed dramatically. Now it was vicious infighting, moronic candidates, and embarrassing gaffes. You guessed it, KO was now talking about Repubs! Which one will "lose less badly"? A supposed Huckabee gaffe about the writers' strike (Blue Blog Source: Oliver Willis), plus KO dredged up again Huck not having read about the latest NIE. That story is--what--weeks old? Edward R Olbermann went on at length with GOP-hater Robinson about all this--keep that in mind when we get to the non-barking dogs. The pair went on to chortle over McCain attacks on Romney, Romney attacks on McCain and Huckabee, yada yada. It's a Republican "demolition derby", sniggered Fat Ass. Eugene was Pleasured.

After another Pulitzer-worthy chapter of "oddball" Olby inflicted #3 on his viewers: it's WaterTortureBoardingTapingGate, or whatever the hell he's calling it now. It's why the election is so important, ruled Judge Oralmann. Oh goodie, it's Olby & the Perfessor again. How long until he finds a federal crime? Start the clock. Wow, that was fast: just three seconds and The Perfessor found six of them! It's worse than watergate! It's a whole range of crimes! It leads directly to the President! We need a special prosecutor! Um, did The Perfessor forget that the Congress repealed that law after a special counsel got a little too close to Bill Jefferson Clinton? No matter, The Perfessor was Great Thanksed.

#2: Paul McCartney, Heather Mills, Eddie Murphy, Gavin Newsome, and a book plug. #1: Paris Hilton and other celebrity trivia with the creepy Michael Musto--journalism at its finest.

In the Media Matters Minute, we got your "right wing extremist" (Wendy Wright), a reference to Fixed News [Ding!], and we got your "really dumb" Bill Kristol of Fox Noise [Ding!] (Blue Blog Source: Hillary Clinton's Media Matters). Yup, Olby's comments tracked exactly with the ones at the Soros site--straight from Brock's webpage to Oralmann's teleprompter.

    OLBY

Dogs That Did Not Bark: It was a fun night for Mr Merkle, as he cackled about the stupid Republicans and their humiliating gaffes. How ignorant they are! What dopes would vote for them? But as we have noted before, they name streets after guys like Keith Olbermann: "One Way". With all his ridiculing of the foreign policy cred of the GOPers, for some reason he didn't see fit to report this. Aww, it's just too warm and snuggly in Hillary's coat pocket for a slovenly political hack like Krazy Keith.

Olbermann's book The book that bears Olbermann's name languishes at #95,323 on amazon, while "Culture Warrior" is #17,212. (It's that 2-for-$25 sale!) Barnes & Noble has the OlbyTome at #38,056; O'Reilly's book is #1,977 there. In the battle of the paperbacks: Amazon lists Culture Warrior at #2,401, while Oralmann's book is a mighty #2,678. On Thursday, the infamous deplorable Keith Olbermann interrupted his vacation for a very special edition of The Hour of Spin. Unfortunately, his efforts only netted him a poor third place finish behind The O'Laura Factor and even CNN's hit-and-run killer, both in total viewers and in the coveted, pivotal, much-beloved, critical, all-important "key demo".

Same old, Same old from the most honest (LOL) man in News.

If nothing else, he's consistent. Consistently delusional. WHY does he have to be so easy to hate? Does this man have ANY redeeming qualities????

I think Keith has come to the conclusion that life IS easier with blinders on.

Posted by: royal king at January 2, 2008 10:09 PM

Ya know RK, here in 08' we shouldn't be haters like Mike. We should show da luv!

I think 'The smartest woman on earth' should spend a day with this Historical / Geographical genius.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww

Maybe between the both of them, they might find New Jersey on a map.

McCool; "Does this man have ANY redeeming qualities????"

Well obviously, it depends on who is doing the redeeming.

Fearmongers would obviously not find any.

    Fearmongers

I would qualify that as an

Don't worry Mike , thye won't bother you as long as you keep wearing the veil and don't show your ankles

    "How's the antique business Mike?"

In a nutshell...furniture is down....the high end is up....and the low end is down.

Well, try serving some free frappachinos and piping Olby on an 8 hr loop into the store.

"How can I possibly sleep with all those evil Muslims out trying to get me?"

But Mr. Murrow Jr. tells you - and he's never wrong - that the threat is all a fraud perpetuated by the Republicans to scare voters into supporting them.

Besides, you still have to worry about the greatest terror threat in America according to our brave savior Keith Olbermann: The Republican Party.

    Or is it Fox News?

Well, one of those two monstrous evil entities will get you.

So sayeth news anchor Keith Olbermann.

And remember: Olbermann has no political agenda. Because he said so.

    Terrorists? What terrorists?

    The State of Jihad: 2007

    By Bill RoggioJanuary 1, 2008 2:10 PM

The US and her allies in Europe, the Middle East, and beyond have witnessed both stunning successes and dramatic setbacks in the Long War during 2007. Pakistan has continued its slide towards a failed state, with the government having relinquished control over additional territory to the Taliban and, thus, al Qaeda. Suicide bombings and attacks on all segments of the state plagued Pakistan as the Taliban and al Qaeda cemented their new safe havens. Iraq, which seemed all but lost at the end of 2006 as the US appeared to lose the all-important political will, has turned around with the change in counterinsurgency plan and the surge of troops US and Iraqi troops. Al Qaeda and the Iranian-backed Shia terrorists are losing ground and local support in Iraq. Afghanistan has seen its worst year of violence since the Taliban was defeated in late 2001; suicide bombings and IED attacks skyrocketed due to the problems in Pakistan.

The war also continues in dozens of lesser theaters. India suffered numerous blows from Pakistani-based terrorists. Al Qaeda has revitalized itself in Algeria and greater northern Africa. A brutal insurgency is being waged in Somalia after the Islamic Courts was ousted at the end of 2006. The Philippines saw some progress against Abu Sayyaf and Jemaah Islamiyah in the southern provinces. Thailand's Islamist insurgency ballooned in 2007. Al Qaeda is attempting to revive the jihad in Chechnya and the greater Caucasus. Saudi Arabia and Yemen continue to breed the next generation of al Qaeda fighters.

Royal! Don't go confusing Mike with all of those facts! I bet halliburton is funding all of it!

"But Mr. Morrow Jr. told you - and he's never wrong - that the threat is all a fraud perpetrated by the republicans to scare voters into supporting them."

Actually, I told him that! But you have it wrong:

What I actually told him was that the republicans have shamelessly used fear of terrorism as a wedge issue by falsely claiming that THEY are the ones best equipped to fight it.

    Terrorists to USA: Vote Democratic!

Is a vote for the Democrats a vote for the terrorists? No Republican would dare say such a thing, but the terrorists do. Don't miss Aaron Klein's remarkable World Net Daily column. Klein is WND's man in Jeruslem. He tracked down some actual terrorists to find out whether they are following our elections, and what their views of them are:

Everybody has an opinion about next Tuesday's midterm congressional election in the U.S. – including senior terrorist leaders interviewed by WND who say they hope Americans sweep the Democrats into power because of the party's position on withdrawing from Iraq, a move, as they see it, that ensures victory for the worldwide Islamic resistance.
The terrorists told WorldNetDaily an electoral win for the Democrats would prove to them Americans are "tired."

"Of course Americans should vote Democrat," Jihad Jaara, a senior member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, told WND.

"This is why American Muslims will support the Democrats, because there is an atmosphere in America that encourages those who want to withdraw from Iraq. It is time that the American people support those who want to take them out of this Iraqi mud," said Jaara, speaking to WND from exile in Ireland, where he was sent as part of an internationally brokered deal that ended the church siege.

Muhammad Saadi, a senior leader of Islamic Jihad in the northern West Bank town of Jenin, said the Democrats' talk of withdrawal from Iraq makes him feel "proud."

"As Arabs and Muslims we feel proud of this talk," he told WND. "Very proud from the great successes of the Iraqi resistance. This success that brought the big superpower of the world to discuss a possible withdrawal."

Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas' military wing in the Gaza Strip, said the policy of withdrawal "proves the strategy of the resistance is the right strategy against the occupation."

"We warned the Americans that this will be their end in Iraq," said Abu Abdullah, considered one of the most important operational members of Hamas' Izzedine al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades, Hamas' declared "resistance" department. "They did not succeed in stealing Iraq's oil, at least not at a level that covers their huge expenses. They did not bring stability. Their agents in the [Iraqi] regime seem to have no chance to survive if the Americans withdraw."

If Obama and Edwards finish ahead of Hillary tonight, it's going to be interesting watching Olby on Friday and Monday (assuming he doesn't retire to the lavatory bath to enjoy the waters) trying to spin things Hillary's way while at the same time not alienating his core audience of far lefties who are the least likely in the Democratic Party to be backers of Mrs. Clinton.

What I actually told him was that the republicans have shamelessly used fear of terrorism as a wedge issue by falsely claiming that THEY are the ones best equipped to fight it.
Posted by: Mike at January 2, 2008 11:09 PM

    THATS FALSE????

How can I possibly sleep with all those evil Muslims out trying to get me?

Posted by: Mike at January 2, 2008 10:54 PM
    10:55 PM

I thought you would have felt safe within the walls of Edwards’s compound. As the chief house boy, I thought you would have been afforded a certain degree of protection. I wouldn't worry too much, the slip and fall lawyer is a good litigator and if some misfortune does occur to you, Johnny will be able to get you something for all your pain and suffering ............. less his contingency fee of course.

"Royal, don't go confusing Mike with all of those facts."

McCool, common sense would dictate that you might want to choose your associates a little more critically.

After all, a commonly shared ideology becomes highly overrated when you choose to associate with the laughably inane at the expense of your own reputation.

    http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/

10296 fatal muslim terror attacks worldwide since 9/11

    coincidence??

Does ANYONE have any doubts as to what party America's enemies, be it muslim terrorists, Chavez, Ahmadouchebag, Crazy Kim, or Putin, want to win the presidency?

Olby's beating the same dead horse
    Hackneyed journalist tour de force
    Countdown's really lame
    In '08 it's the same
    Water-boring, Bush-bashing (of course)

Nice photoshop job, really. I chuckled when I saw it.

The balance of the commentary, as predictable as your unwavering empirical perception of Olby, continues to be yawnable.

    You poor maligned neo-fascists.

Have to admit, the ongoing book-sales rankings were mildly amusing early on; but now it seems to illustrate that readers of Olby's work may actually read more than one book a year (shocking!).

Using the sales numbers-only approach, for example in the current B&N rankings, suggests Cruise's "The 12 Second Sequence" (at 2nd) is a more-qualified read than Tsu's "The Art of War" (at 7th). I guess you'd have to be more loony to appreciate Tsu's work more than Cruise's by your apparent criteria. No worries dear ad-hoc thinkers, it's just another old, quaint philosophy not entirely unlike defending democracy or supporting liberty. Silly liberal stuff.

Then again, never underestimate your enemy and attack from above whenever possible.

Hey Johnny “boy”,.…who at Fox News put you up to creating this website attacking Olbermann?

at the expense of your own reputation.

    I have a reputation??

"What I actually told him was that the republicans have shamelessly used fear of terrorism as a wedge issue by falsely claiming that THEY are the ones best equipped to fight it. "

    Falsely claiming?

Your new friends on the left say that the threat is neglible if it exists at all.

How could policies based on a non-existent - or minimally-existent - threat be better?

    That makes no sense.

Let's assume, just for a debating point, that that is true. That the GOP is "shamelessly" scaring folks on the threat of terrorism.

Do the Democrats ever use fear of Bush or the Republicans or the evil corporations in order to win votes?

Do liberals ever say that Republicans will take away Grandma's social security if you vote for them?

Do liberals ever say that Republicans will let more children starve, or more people die of dirty water or dirty air, if you vote for them?

When your hero Olbermann says the Republicans are the greatest terror group in America, is he scaring people?

This is, after all, Olbermann Watch. Not Republican Watch.

How does Olbermann pass your test on who is "shamelessly" scaring people?

    The floor is yours.

"I thought you would have felt safe within the walls of Edward's compound."

No, those walls are made of stucco.

I feel a lot safer in my own compound behind my gated guard shack and stone fence.

    I like Steve

    McCool: "I have a reputation."

    Everything is relative, you know!

    stone fence ?????????

Posted by: Mike at January 2, 2008 11:22 PM

What is a stone fence? Is it like a stone wall?

"hat is a stone fence? Is it like a stone wall?"

Don't you even watch "high Net Worth" to keep up with the latest goodies they've come up with to protect us from the proletariat?

"You don't have to make excuses for speaking the facts about Bush , the GOP and corporations.
Their damning enough, and something Steve would rather not remember."

I see, when liberals do it, "Its the truth".

No scare tactics when they say Republicans will take away Grandma's social security?

No scare tactics when they say Republicans will make more children starve or die do to dirty water or dirty air?

    Those aren't "shamelessly" scaring folks?

The GOP ran the government for 6 years.

No SS checks were taken away.

No increase in children starving occurred.

    Et cetera, et cetera.

    > Using the sales numbers-only approach

I'm glad you like that approach. It is, of course, Keith's idea, started back when he would crow about how his book was beating O'Reilly's (particularly when O'Reilly's book wasn't even out yet, though Keith would lie and say that is was). Of course when O'Reilly's book started outselling Olby's, all of a sudden Oralmann stopped comparing the sales figures. So we continued what he started.

I actually agree with you. It is a silly, superficial, and meaningless comparison. Which describes most of what Olbermann does. Your criticisms of Keith are spot on.

Hey Johnny “boy”,.…who at Fox News put you up to creating this website attacking Olbermann?

Why did you move away from the subject of terrorism so quickly Steve?

    > Hey Johnny “boy”,.…who at Fox News put you up to creating this website attacking Olbermann?

Some idiots never learn that it's better to keep quiet, thereby not exposing themselves as the nitwits that they are. Hey idiot chickenblogger, who put you up to the lie that I created this site?

Hey, 'mike.' How long before you accuse McCool of 'defending' me w/no proof? I laugh my ass off every time you try to turn people against me using your superiority complex.

Still 'don't have time to prove Johnny wrong?'

MIKE is really wise and handsome.

Am i soaring with the eagles now Mike?

"It's very funny that most of America is pretty much embarrassed and disgusted of what has gone down under Bush and the republicans the last 7 years, "

Bush wasn't elected to make leftwingers happy.

In fact, he's supposed to make you mad.

Canary in the coal mine, if you will.

Anyway, name one Republican president - including Lincoln the first - that the Democrats and left didn't despise?

And it's always amusing how these discussions on the journalism of Keith Olbermann are always hijacked by his apologists into discussions of the Bush Administration.

As they say in law, if you can't argue facts, just pound the table.

Lots of tables being pounded at this site.

Steve, did you see the post Factor made one day recently when he called Social Security "The Mother of all Entitlement Programs"?

While I'm aware that most Republicans are not as rabidly right wing as Factor, keep in mind that this IS the kind of thought that is coming from many on the right these days.

Don't try to tell me that many of them wouldn't eliminate SS if they could.

Holy crap, johnny dollar and I are in concert for once on this site. It is a new year indeed. Thanks for the insight, sincerely.

Steve on Bush: "In fact he is supposed to make you mad."

Interesting! A man who originally ran for president using the mantra that he was a "uniter rather than a divider" was actually SUPPOSED to be a divider!

"Please don't tell us that you're dumb enough to hope that any portion of your retirement income to come from that Ponzi scheme?"

No, I've given up hope for that after watching this Republican administration turn the first surplus in years into the worst deficits and debt in the history of this country.

I'm hoping my mother's will hold out though.

    > Prove that you’re not.

Funniest thing from an Olbypologist I've seen all year. "Prove that you're not." Hahaaaaahaaaaa!

When polled, people said by 80% that we are heading in the wrong direction as a country.

    Some inconvenient facts for you.

    78% attributed to Congress performance

Ok, I'm tired of seeing Mike get his ass whipped from so many different directions.

Mike, what evidence have you seen that shows that Social Security is not going broke?

McCool: "I think that was a change of subjects."

    No it wasn't!!!!

On one hand, it's Ok to bankrupt the country.....But on the other hand it's not.

    Bankrupt is bankrupt!
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

McCool: "Money won't do us any good if e're getting our asses blown off here at home"

I'd like just ONCE....Just ONE time....for someone to give me a coherent argument as to how invading and occupying the country of Iraq has made us one whit safer or more secure than if we hadn't?

    Just ONCE!

"Mike, what evidence have you seen that Social Security is not going broke?"

James, I guess you just decided to skip my entire argument above about Social Security and go on to the next one?

Earth to James: I never said SS is not going broke!

Now go back and read my posts again.

Mike, you are in fantasy land pal. First, you believe that there is no terrorist threat. Second, you believe that Social Security is hunky dory and doesn't need fixing. Third, you believe that the world is safer with Saddam Hussein in power. Mike, it's time for you to wake up and smell the coffee.

NO SHIT I pulled 78 % out of my ass. If you believe every poll you read and are blissfully unaware how easily it is to manipulate the questions or the results then i guess I can not cure your righteous fury and indignation.

"DAMN IT I KNEW it was GW's fault in the end."

Your flight level is sinking a little McCool....better start flapping those wings a little more.

    Can you?
Do you even know their legislative record ? I'm betting you don't. Your ignorance is legendary.

Democrats did pass and got the president to sign off on a minimum wage increase, upgrades in homeland security, cuts in college costs, and a new energy bill.

Congress also pushed through a major overhaul of ethics and lobbying rules this year, and got more money for veterans.

A lot more than 6 years of a GOP Congress did.

The Democratic Congress did not end this war, which is the albatross around their neck.
It will take a Democratic president to do it, because as we know, if a republican is elected, it will be more of the same.

One thing that is written in stone, America doesn't want more of the same.

Ahh, the old Olberloon trick. When Olbermann gets his butt handed to him in book sales, one of his loons claims it is because Americans are not smart enough to buy his book or to understand its "wisdom". Olbermann book is now compared to Tsu's "The Art of War"? That's rich.

His new book languishes in the unreadable section... His show continues to lag in the ratings... yet the loons still think he is a messiah with vision.

Evidently KeithO is really no better than the unshowered guy screaming at you on the street corner about the end-of-the-world. People are tired of his rhetoric. The louder he screams- the less people listen. Its old.

Still no time to prove Johnny wrong?

RK you unbelievable dummy, .... Have you learned the difference between "Pollingreport.com" and "Polling Point" yet?

Oh, clairvoyant one, how do you know 'why' gets his dope from pollingreport? Which is laughable as pollingpoint, by the way.

Still no time to prove Johnny wrong?

Debunk just one of the top ten lie list. You claimed it was so easy. Do it. Or prove what a liar you are again.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSN0217912620080103

Phari-cee's party seems to be choosing freak-job Huckabee as their guy. With ideological leadership like this, how does Phari-cee look himself in the mirror? His political elite are an embarrassment.

Anon- nice fair and balanced review BUT i have read that amazon takes many of the negative reviews off the site. Its a practice that is good for business but bad for impartiality.

Huckabee and Romney have a bad problem. They have what they call foot-in-mouth disease, and it seems to be in remission now. I think either one will be easy fodder for Hillary (god forbid). Only one or two idiotic statements can derail a candidate, and these two seem unseasoned enough to blow it quickly. Ugh!

RK @ 11:39 AM: "Oh clairvoyant one, how do you know 'why' gets his dope from "pollingreport"? Which is laughable as Pollingpoint, by the way."

Now lets dissect his LATEST bit of stupidity:

    1) - The original assertion that he challenged was the FACT that the congressional Democrats are outpolling the Congressional Republicans.

    2) - It is no secret to ANY informed American that #1 is true, regardless of where they 'get' their information.

    3) - Pollingreport.com is a nonpartisan compilation of many of the most highly respected political polls and is used by many on both the left and the right....but RK just called it "laughable".

    4) - RK also just diverted again.....This time from his rather stupid and WRONG assertion at 2:25 AM that I had cited "Polling Report" as a credible source.

    5) - The poster whom RK is calling 'Why' at 1:22 AM is an anonymous poster who very likely is NOT 'Why'.

    6) - It is pretty clear that RK had never heard of EITHER Pollingreport.com OR Pollingpoint prior to this discussion.

    7) - Thus we have just one more instance of the official OW joke making a total fool out of himself.....AGAIN!

"4 above at 12:01 should have read: "4) - RK also just diverted again. This time from his rather stupid and WRONG assertion that I had cited 'POLLING POINT" as a credible source."

By jove, I'll bet that little mistake has given RK something to divert to again.

Debunk just one of the top ten lie list. You claimed it was so easy. Do it. Or prove what a liar you are again.

Looks like has proven himself to be the worst olbyloon on the blog. Like I said in the past, if he was Olbermahns lawyer, he would have been juiced a long time ago. He can't debunk one single lie of the year. SHOCKER!

RK: "Debunk just one of the top ten lie list. You claimed it was so easy. Do it. Prove what a liar you are again."

    Diverting again, huh RK?

First off, I didn't say one word about the so called "top ten lie list", not one word! I was talking about the nightly 'recaps', NOT the so called "top ten lie list. I haven't even read the stupid list.

However, what I WAS discussing was YOUR most recent lies that were well documented above.

That said, YOUR never ending string of lies and are ridiculously easy and rather fun to find and 'debunk' ... and thats why I have plenty of time to do that.

    Another diversion! Shocker!

Yes, Hillary never puts her foot in her mouth. That is why she tells Iowa voters to caucus on the wrong day and she seems to think that the population of the United States is in the billions.

Population miscalcualtions and date mix ups are the gaffes we've come to expect... my boy Bush makes a living out of it.

The gaffes that kill a candidate are like Huckabee sticking by his promise to outlaw abortions in the US. Any good candidate would know that the topic is the third rail in an election and steer clear. Watch hillary answer a question... she doesn't.

Although you have to admire Huckabees convictions, you would hope your presidential candidate wouldn't alienate half of the population with such a statement... even if you are pro-life.

But I'm sure Jeff will thank you for taking the heat off of him for a bit.

The typical loon fallacy number 6.
I don't like Olbermann- so I like OReilley.

That said, I DON'T give a rip what the extreme conservatives who come to this site think about the show because MOST of the hate obviously comes from ideology differences, .... and NOT anyone's passionate love of truth.

If you don't believe me, then just persuade Cox or J$ to limit the discussion to Keith Olbermann, the man....and I will guarantee you that you will never hear from me again.

It's funny how just by watching Olbermann's show, the accusations of being an "Olbyloon" come pouring in. Yet, a lot of the right-wingers who despise him seem awfully infatuated with his love life.

This statment is absurd. This site has plenty of word for word statements and clips showing Olbermann's constant lies. I have never watched Olbermann's show, but I know full well it is full of distortions by reading this site. I have never watch "Bio-Dome" but that does not mean I can't understand what a terrible movie it is. I am sure there are people who have never watched "The Three Stooges" but I am guessing they can pretty much tell me what is going to happen during the show.

By the way, the reason for my name being "The Factor" is not because I am a fan of O'Reilly, it is because the name foments hatred in the small minds of the zombie left. Nothing brings me more joy than to bring out hatred from liberals. On the list of conservative thought that I respect, O'Reilly is far down the list. Somewhere just above George W. Bush. O'Reilly does serve a useful purpose though. His show is entertaining

Memories of "rudy." This is great, aap was actually stupid enough to respond to Mrs. Philby posing as "rudy!"

Well now more prove today of Gilianis depravity his current wife although I dont imagine itll be for long since none of them are has been married not just 1 time before but 2 times before & she just finally had to admit it cause the newspaper printed it shed been denying it for some time but no longer & so we have man without morals finds woman without morals who knows maybe Im wrong & itll work out they must be 2 peas in a pot with all the marriages between them can you imagine the wedding announcement & what about the funerals theyll have to have a special section roped off just for the exwives and exhusbands & I have just 1 question is this what the Repubs really want a man with no morals & I have another question what is the point of being a Repub if its all tomcats & sluts we have to stand for morals & values but the only place where Giliani stands is in the cesspool of his own crappy life like I said my mother said if you play with garbage you stink & hes making us all stink something awful. Brownback (J) Bush Thomson weve got lots of good choices but not Giliani & we need to stop him if we do hes so vain he may become a DemocRAT just ti spite us & thatd be good cause hed be right at home with the perverts & homos & other people who dont have morals & worse & then wed whip him good.

That said, even that was hardly an "attack". I simply stated that I had heard otherwise and J$ responded with a link.....that I had no way of proving or disproving.

I accepted it and moved on. What was the problem?

Once again, if you people will so readily attack ME like this with outright LIES, how is anyone supposed to take your word about how terrible Keith Olbermann is?

Factor: "Nothing brings me more joy than to bring out hatred from liberals."

I don't agree with everything Olbermann has to say. And I don't think all people who watch him agree with 100% of the things he has to say.
I think his show brings up a questioning of authority which, you wouldn't see on Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck, Scarborough, Tucker
carlson, Dobbs, or Fox News in general. Call it fringe, politically biased or just plain crazy but I am glad that another perspective is out there.

wasted, which post are you claiming is 'royalking jr?' Still want to make the claim?

Damn Johnny, I was wondering when YOU were going to jump out of the woodwork and create an argument where there was no argument.

For two days now, your loyal little TROLL here whom you have allowed to literally run amuk and trash all coherent discourse on this site.....has been goading me to challenge you about your "top ten" list...and you knew damned well he was doing it too!

But when I emphatically DIDN'T choose to challenge you! ...... Repeat - I DIDN'T challenge you! .... (and I also had previously ACCEPTED your response about the so called #11 betrayus thing, and I moved on), you decided to jump in there anyway with both feet on something as innocent as my 'I had no way to prove or disprove the assertion' remark.

What does someone have to do for you to graciously accept that they have conceded your point? Would it be necessary to bow before your highness and repeat ten time before you how wrong they are?

It's as if you were just sitting there just waiting for that opportunity to pounce the instant any little opening appeared, no matter how small it might be.

For the umteenth hundreth time, I don't give a flying damn about your little word parsing game you call 'recaps and lies' , and I have also told you almost as many times that I AGREE that KO is far from a perfect character, ..... but I also believe the OVERALL package remains a POSITIVE!

If your criticisms were not so damned far OVER the top, and literally dripping with hatred and obvious distortions, I might actually bother to read them....but you can't even see how you and your site have become something far worse than the very thing you claim to disdain.

To top it all off, you intentionally try to create instant animosity by calling anyone who dares to say ANYTHING positive about the man an "Olbyloon". So your official policy becomes attacking not only the messenger, but anyone who dares to agree with the message.

    Great model!

You have failed miserably to convey the illusion that this site is about Journalism standards when we both know it is 99% about partisan politics and divisiveness.

The irony is that you choose to operate like THAT, and then you wonder why we refuse to accept anything you say at face value?

You want to believe SO badly that this site is chock full of Keith Olbermann lovers when I don't believe there is a SINGLE regular on this site who defends everything the man does....however, I personally remain thankful he is on the air for the sake of balance, if nothing else.

Congratulations, now you've made RK's day by making his two day long quest to instigate another fight a success!

Brave Olbermann is the leading vote-getter right now for the coveted 2007 Fiskie Award at Little Green Footballs.

    http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/weblog.php

The Fiskie is named after the leftwing journalist Robert Fiske. Fiske is sort of a British print version of Olbermann. I.e., he just makes stuff up.

Olbermann's lead is small however. Just percentage points ahead of the Ron Paul supporters and, bringing up the, er, rear Rosie O'Donnell.

Act like a good Democrat: vote early and vote often.

And claim the vote was fixed if your person doesn't win. Olbermann is here to believe you.

Um, no, Mike. You didn't accept it. You dismissed it with a smart crack about how it was impossible to prove I was correct. That isn't accepting it. That's dismissing it as, oh, he can't prove it. Which is damn close to a lie, given that the MSNBC transcript is sitting right there for you to look at.

So don't start whining about how you "accepted" something when you actually sought to disregard it and NOT admit that it was demonstrably and provably accurate and true.

Sure, those secular leftists sure are hard on those Islamist..

Vandals (Islamist) torched 372 cars as France celebrated the New Year, down on the figure last year (from 1000) after a night the police described as “relatively calm.”
Cars are burned fairly regularly in France and the image of vehicles in flames in poor suburbs became symbolic of riots in 2005 when angry youths (Islamist) set fire to thousands of cars.
There is usually an increase in the number of cars torched on New Year’s Eve compared to other days of the year.
“The night was relatively calm, without notable incident, there were very few direct clashes with the security forces,” said a (secular progressive) spokesman for the national police.

    More like a Quisling-Goebbels moment.

James: "And why is that Mike. Is it because Hillary isn't liberal enough for you."

I'm having a little trouble reading the tone of your question? .... OR deciding whether that particular question was intended to be rhetorical or not? Especially since you ended last night's session feeding me Hannity inspired talking points....NONE of which applied to me.

First off James, 'liberal enough' has almost NOTHING to do with it since I have been a moderate all my life.

Hillary is a problem for me for several reasons 1) - She's too much of a politician -trying to take the most safe and secure road. 2) - She showed very poor judgement with her Iraq vote. 3) - I don't think a continuation of the Bush - Clinton - Bush - Clinton dynasty is a particularly good idea, & 4) - While a very smart person, she doesn't seem to have the charisma she really needs to be president or win the presidency.

Those two make a Pepto-Bismol moment.

Olby just claimed that his book of Speshul Komment fairy tales is in its fourth printing and will debut next week on the NYT Bestsellers list at #19.

You do your party and ideology no favors!

I can just imagine all of the fence sitters who might have run across one of your divisive hate filled posts and literally recoiled in utter discust over to our side.

Fortunately for America, the likes of you represents the opposite of where America is headed.

Olbermann asked, in a pretty fair manner, what Huckabee would say to people who don't share his faith to the same degree, or don't share it at all. Huckabee answered that he raised a few eyebrows on Bill Maher's show when he said he respected Pete Stark, who is openly atheistic. He said he respects people who are up front about what they believe and follow whatever that may be (I am paraphrasing, probably pretty poorly). Olbermann said that the only think he could think of to say is "Amen to that." Matthews either laughed or went along with the statement. Then Huckabee said that since since he had both of them in agreement, he could make this into a revival meeting and pass the collection plate so they could donate to him. He has a great sense of humor.

Until I watched Huckabee tonight, I didn't think he stood a chance to go past Iowa. He and Obama both gave good speeches; I hope to see them both win the nominations.

Great observation Sharon! I saw that too.

I have been generally impressed with Huckabee whenever I have heard him speak.

I'm thinking and hoping that we just may be headed towards one of the most inspiring and positive general election campaigns in recent history.

Hard core conservatives don't want either Huckabee or McCain, but I don't see Romney surviving and probably not Thompson. I just read on the jawa report* (one of the posters is a Fred fan) unsubstantiated rumors Thompson may be dropping out.

*the beheading site that supports perverts- I
wrote it small so as not to offend some people

After thinking about it, I should have summarized Huckabee as saying to Olbermann that since Olberman had "Amen-ed" he would turn this into a revival meeting.

Olbermann is nice to Huckabee because he feels Huckabee is a weak candidate. Olbermann and the rest of the left wing media feel that it will be a walk in the park to beat him. I think Huckabee is much tougher than they think. Republicans thought they could walk over Bill Clinton also. That didn't turn out to well. The wild card is that if Huckabee wins the nomination of the Republicans, it will trick that fool Bloomberg into thinking he can jump in as an independent. Guess who he is going to steal votes from. Not Huckabee voters. I only wish Duncan Hunter could of gained traction. What can you do.

Oh, and grow up Mike, don't try to sell me a load of bullshit and tell me it is chocolate cake. Are you still trying to sell that you voted for Bush in 2000 too?

"Are you trying to sell that you voted for Bush in 2000 too?"

I'm not trying to "sell" you or anybody else a damned thing you classless twit! Yes, I voted for GWB in 2000 and I don't give a fying damn whether you believe it or not! The real mystery is why you would find something that mundane so unbelievable?

What possible motive have you conjured up in your twisted mind for me to lie about basic life experiences I have had such as my age, my military service, or who I voted for?....ALL three of which you are now on record of accusing me of having lied about.

? Again, Mr. blank-FLUCKER (cue OLD SPICE jingle)...these are party primaries.....the voice of the individual parties are expressed and HRC, with all the great support of the elite and the term "presumed nominee," came in a poor third....millions of dollars spent and even the party popular former president, the adulterous sodomite Bill Clinton, could not beat the new voice of hope and optimism....

The result has nothing to do with the republicans...it has to do with the left's elite who are not representative of the country or even their own party....HRC represents the 2006 "mandate" many on the left, like YOU, crowed about and I said was a bunch of bunk and I am relieved to see I was once again correct....

Let's just wait and see what comes out of New Hampshire and how Clinton Co. handle the upstart Illinois Senator....afterall, he should know his place!

No dear sir....wise Iowans simply pushed you and your ruling elite out of the past into a new optimistic future where real leaders are possible and the country's best interests are sought....as opposed to a selfish minority's.....

The least generation can now pass off into the sunset......Bye-bye blank-FLUCKER!

Please Daddy FLUCKER...your dementia tricks your mind....those fighting for civil rights and advancement were not of your generation....they were of a totally different fabric and origin...your generation did as the Clintons did....dodged, traveled, sat in congressional staff offices and "built resumes."

The real work of liberty and justice was accomplished by someone other than you and the Clinton-types, dead Daddy FLUCKER.....Your going mind has given you delusions of grandieur....The generations that liberated Europe and The Pacific and went on to build a more just society is The Greatest Generation.....The boomers like yourself have nothing to claim except your indulgent behavior in the 1980's/1990's and 9/11/01!

Too baaaad, Daddy FLUCKER! Go back to your 401k, your golf game and be happy!

Oh no, Daddy FLUCKER.....15 year-old British comedy TV that is the 20% of value on US public TV is very useful in assessing the passions and hypocrisy of the self-determined American leftist elite like you.....Again, as you play golf and watch your good friend, Bill Moyers, on PBS pontificate this weekend, simply try to remain attached to reality.....the mission of the baby boomers was given its due and in the first test this year, the people said, "next."

Even if you were born before 1945, Daddy FLUCKER, your white elitist attitude is the same and is actually all the more distasteful in the current discussion.....To claim advances in our society as soley those of the left shows your elitism and arrogance especially as those the elite believed they "liberated," are only useful to them as props and toys to play with on government budget sheets and voting rolls......The attitude the Clintons...the white leftist elite symbol, have towards Senator Obama is the subtle racism so evident in your lifestyle and worldview.

"THis reason is this is os amusing is that tradfionally it is Republicans who treat the primary process as a coranation."

    ###
As the republican primary season continues to have 3 or even 4 candidates at their debates....perhaps even through super Tuesday, I will be glad to see them fight it out and show the country who the party of ideas and depth is.....It is not a party just of evangelicals, corporatists, neocons or libertarians.

The democrats wanted it to be over now if not then, after New Hampshire.....It, like the repubs, will not be over then either, but the left's establishment wanted and expected HRC to be coronated....I am simply happy it seems this will not happen to the consternation of people like Olbermann.....

The Clinton dynansty may be in its last days...thank goodness.

Obama has no accomplishments, philby. If he did, someone would have posted them. Just admit it and move on or sign off.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Franklin Roosevelt, the long time hero and standard bearer of the Democrat Party, headed up and implemented one of the most horrible racist policies of the 20th Century – the Japanese Internment Camps during World War II.

Hugo Black: A former Democrat Senator from Alabama and liberal U.S. Supreme Court Justice appointed by FDR, Hugo Black had a lengthy history of hate group activism. Black was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920's and gained his legal fame defending Klansmen under prosecution for racial murders.

Senator Robert Byrd, D-WV: Byrd is a former member of the Ku Klux Klan and is currently the only national elected official with a history in the Klan, a well known hate group. Byrd was extremely active in the Klan and rose to the rank of “Kleagle,” an official Klan membership recruiter. Byrd once stated that he joined the Klan because it was effective in "promoting traditional American values"

Senator Ernest Hollings, D-SC: Hollings is liberal Democrat Senator from South Carolina who is also notorious for his use of racial slurs. He rose out of the Democrat Party's segregationist wing in the 1960's as governor of South Carolina.

Jesse Jackson: Jackson was the featured prime time speaker at the 2000 Democrat Convention. Jackson has a history of using anti-Semitic slurs and derogatorily calling New York City “Hymietown.” Jackson, a prominent self proclaimed "civil rights leader," is himself guilty of the same bigotry he dishonestly purports to oppose.

Dan Rather: Rather, the well known television anchor for CBS, is also a liberal Democrat who has spoken at fundraisers for the Democrat party in the past. The notoriously left wing reporter appeared on the Don Imus radio show on July 19, 2001 where he was interviewed about his long term refusal to cover the Gary Condit (D-CA) scandal involving an affair with a missing intern despite the scandal's national prominence. Rather noted on the air that CBS had basically forced him to cover the story that was on every other network and on the front page of all the major newspapers, all this after Rather avoided it for months. Rather stated on the air, refering to CBS, that "they got the Buckwheats" and made him cover the Condit scandal.

Cragg Hines: Hines is one of the most rabidly partisan DC based Democrat editorial columnists to work for a major newspaper, and he makes no attempts to hide it. To Hines, pro-lifers are "neanderthals," as is often the case with those who differ in opinion with him. Ironically, Hines, a columnist who regularly touts himself as an enlightened progressive, is also known for racial remarks and religious intolerance. He attacked Senator Jesse Helms in an August 26, 2001 editorial with not only the usual liberal name calling, but also with a racial epithet. Hines used the racial slur "cracker" to attack Helms.

Al Sharpton: Sharpton, a perrenial Democrat candidate and one of the rumored candidates for the Democrat's 2004 presidential nomination, has a notorious racist past. Sharpton was a central figure who fanned the 1991 Crown Heights race riot, where a mob shouting anti-semetic slurs murdered an innocent Jewish man. Sharpton also incited a 1995 protest of a Jewish owned store in Harlem where protesters used several anti-semetic slurs. During the protests, a Sharpton lieutenant called the store's owner a "bloodsucker" and declared an intent to "loot the Jews." A member of the protest mob later set fire to the store, resulting in the death of seven

Representative Dick Gephardt, D-MO: Gephardt, the former Democrat Minority Leader in the U.S. House of Representatives, gave several speeches to a St. Louis area hate group during his early years as a representative. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Gephardt spoke before the Metro South Citizens Council, a now defunct white supremacist organization, during his early years as a congressman.

Andrew Cuomo: Cuomo, Bill Clinton's former Housing Secretary and a prominent Democrat political player in New York, was tape recorded using racially inflamatory rhetoric to build opposition to a potential Democrat primary opponent while speaking to a Democrat group. Cuomo stated that voting for his rival for the New York Democrat gubernatorial nomination Carl McCall, who is black, would create a "racial contract" between Black and Hispanic Democrats "and that can't happen." Upon initial reports, Cuomo denied the statement but later a tape recording surfaced. Cuomo later dropped out of the race for governor

Lee P. Brown: Brown, Bill Clinton's former drug czar and Democrat mayor of Houston, engaged in racist campaigning designed to suppress Hispanic voter turnout during his 2001 reelection bid. Brown faced challenger Orlando Sanchez, a Hispanic Republican who drew heavy support from the Hispanic community during the general election. Two weeks prior to the runoff, Brown's campaign printed racist signs designed to intimidate Hispanic voters. The signs featured a photograph of Sanchez and the words "Anti-Hispanic." The signs drew harsh criticism from Hispanic leaders as their message was designed to intimidate and confuse Hispanic voters. Around the same time the signs were being used, Brown supporter and city councilman Carol Alvarado made a series of racially charged attacks on Sanchez, implying a desire to see the supression of Hispanic voter turnout in the runoff. Brown staffers also went on record claiming that Sanchez was not a true Hispanic.

Mary Frances Berry: Berry is the Democrat chair of the US Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR). She purports herself to be an "independent" in her political affiliation in order to hold her job on the civil rights commission where partisan membership may not exceed 4 for either party, but is in fact a dedicated liberal Democrat who openly supported Al Gore for president and has given a total of $20,000 in personal contributions to the Democrat Party, Al Gore for President, and other Democrat candidates over the last decade. Berry is an open racist who is affiliated with the far-left Pacifica radio network, a group with ties to black nationalist causes. Berry once stated "Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them," indicating that she believes the USCCR should only look out for civil rights violations against persons of certain select skin colors.

Billy McKinney: Former Democrat State Representative Billy McKinney of Georgia, who is also the father of former Democrat congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of the same state. During his daughter's failed 2002 reelection bid, McKinney appeared on television where he blamed his daughter's difficulties on a Jewish conspiracy. McKinney unleashed a string of anti-semitic sentiments, stating "This is all about the Jews" and spelling out "J-E-W-S." McKinney lost his own seat in a runoff a few weeks later.

The Democrat Party and the Ku Klux Klan: Aside from the multiple Klan members who have served in elected capacity within the high ranks of the Democrat Party, the political party itself has a lengthy but often overlooked history of involvement with the Ku Klux Klan. Though it has been all but forgotten by the media, the Democrat National Convention of 1924 was host to one of the largest Klan gatherings in American history. Dubbed the "Klanbake convention" at the time, the 1924 Democrat National Convention in New York was dominated by a platform dispute surrounding the Ku Klux Klan. A minority of the delegates to the convention attempted to condemn the hate group in the party's platform, but found their proposal shot down by Klan supporters within the party. As delegates inside the convention voted in the Klan's favor, the Klan itself mobilized a celebratory rally outside. On July 4, 1924 one of the largest Klan gatherings ever occurred outside the convention on a field in nearby New Jersey. The event was marked by speakers spewing racial hatred, celebrations of their platform victory in the Democrat Convention, and ended in a cross burning.

    - Robert Byrd, current senator from West Virginia
    - J. William Fulbright, Arkansas senator and political mentor of Bill Clinton
    - Albert Gore Sr., Tennessee senator, father and political mentor of Al Gore. Gore Jr. has been known to lie about his father's opposition to the Civil Rights Act.
    - Sam Ervin, North Carolina senator of Watergate hearings fame
    - Richard Russell, famed Georgia senator and later President Pro Tempore
