Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    January 18, 2008
Countdown with Keith Olbermann - January 18, 2008

"COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN" (8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. ET)

    Host: Keith Olbermann

    Topics/Guests:

    • 2008 ELECTION: Craig Crawford, cqpolitics.com and MSNBC political analyst; Chuck Todd, NBC News political director
    • THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION: John Dean, fmr. Nixon White House counsel and author of "Broken Government"

The last opening spiel of the week was bellowed by The Daily Kos's very own Keith Olbermann: Giuliani shows 9/11 images in a commercial! Hillary Clinton's day-old flight attendant video! Lost White House emails "could be illegal"! [Unless they're not] Attack on Lou Dobbs, attack on O'Reilly! Plus another one of those cant-miss Olbermann Special Apologies. It's casual Friday at Olbermann Watch.

Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly book Culture Warrior

#5: Fluff about Hillary and Mrs Obama, including the airplane video ("Senator Shecky"). Some piddling Obama flub. KO stammered about Hillary with Tyra Banks ("no emotion") and pouted over Edwards's fading poll humbers. Olbermann's Brain sniggered and was Great Thanksed. Olby attacked Huckabee and then turned to fake outrage over Rudy's ad with 9/11 video in it (Blue Blog Source: Huff'n'Puff). It's never happened before, whined Oralmann to Slippery Shuster. It's desperation! Slippery piled on: Rudy's campaign is a "miserable failure" (tm Dick Gephardt). The ad is grotesque!

Stop the tivo! It's another great moment in Olbypocrisy. Funny how we never heard one word of criticism from OlbyPlanet about this ad. How about it, Monkeymann? What say you? Oh, and the "it's never happened before bit"? Do you think this qualifies as Another Olbermann Lie? Perhaps you can get Herr Olbermann to do a correction--just email him at futility.com.

Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly book Culture Warrior

Then it was time for Krazy Keith to grovel before the Kossacks. Yes, it was another of Keith Olbermann's trademark Special Apologies. Don't worry about the substance of it; it only bears mention because it shows just how far Oralmann will lower himself to pander to the Kos Kids. (You'd think raising money for them would be enough, but then again, this is OlbyPlanet.)

#4: When will the nominations be decided? Not even on Super Tuesday, says Todd. Unless of course they are decided on Super Tuesday. After a Fixed News [Ding!] came #3: Keith Olbermann's Criminal Rehabilitation Program met again, featuring Olby's favorite felon. Lost emails are full of "smoking guns". The "White House" outed Valerie Plame. (A Golden Oldie Olbermann Lie: Plame was outed by Armitage at the State Department). Nixon! [Ding!]. The disbarred lawyer says it's "serious", and then thinks he's talking about tapes instead of emails.

#2: Dr Phil, Britney, book plug, bragging about sales when numbers are "weighted". #1: Some crap I skipped over. In the Media Matters Minute, "crackpot" Lou Dobbs (Blue Blog Source: Hillary Clinton's Media Matters), and the worst was, of course, you-know-who (Attack #403, Blue Blog Source: Crooks & Liars). Oralmann made several factual errors on this last one, but that's to be expected on OlbyPlanet.

    Keith Limpermann

If it's Friday, it's our weekly assessment of Krazy Keith's masculinity. This week Monkeymann attacked Fox and other broadcasters 28 times. Olby's source (Hillary Clinton's Media Matters) criticized (MS)NBC 17 times, but Keithy protected his corporate masters with zero criticisms. That makes this week's Olbermann Manhood Quotient: -90 [Cruise limp].

    MisterMeter

On Thursday night, Bear found himself in third place once again, losing to both the eeevil O'Reilly as well as Nancy Grace in the coveted, pivotal, much-beloved, critical, all-important "key demo". And if CNN's hit-and-run-killer had been on Olby would've lost to him too. Tonight's MisterMeter reading: 2 [LOW]

Olby's attack on "Bill-O" was pretty weak tonight, especially considering he was #1 on the Worst list. He basically just claimed Bill doesn't know what he's talking about. Unless I missed something, that was it.

Keith just can't stop lying. Look at this:

"Jan. 18: Fox News host blamed Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards for the plight of homeless war veterans."

I saw Bill O'Reilly's show and he never said such thing. Geez. I can see why Keith is now in third place.

hahaha, I checked out Keith's latest blog over at Dkos, and in the comments section the playboy letters came up:

"Normally I let this stuff go, but if you read said letters, you'll note they each hit one of the five or six talking points of an obscure website devoted to trying to annoy me (it's actually so bad it's good).

    Playboy got played.

"If you're going through hell - Keep Going!" -- Winston Churchill

by Keith Olbermann on Fri Jan 18, 2008 at 12:16:01 PM PST"

I wonder what site he's talking about???

Obscure website? Is he talking about one of his fan sites? Because Olbermannwatch has more site hits and visitors and regular contributors than all of his fan sites. Combined.

What are these "5 or 6 talking points" Olbyonesidedkanoby is referring to? Are they only known to him? This is need to know stuff. "why," care to take a stab?

You posted the wrong link for the ratings, the link you have is for last Thursdays and not yesterdays.

You are correct; it's been fixed. Thank you so much.

you'll note they each hit one of the five or six talking points of an obscure website devoted to trying to annoy me (it's actually so bad it's good).
by Keith Olbermann on Fri Jan 18, 2008 at 12:16:01 PM PST"

That's strange Keith, if the website is so "obscure" why is it on the first page of google, the # 6 website when your name is searched?

Actually I think Keith would get more street cred with the storm troopers if he claim that this was some huge multi-million dollar website run by Fox News, Karl Rove, Blackwater, and Halliburton. Bill O'Reilly has 3 web-sites devoted to getting him fired.

Remember when KO implied/blamed the Minnesota bridge collapse on Bush, Iraq, conservative tax policy etc.

The report is in. It was design/construction flaws during LBJ's admin that caused the collapse.

I haven't noticed any mea culpas from KO so either I missed it or he has been so busy lately with all his blogging commitments that they have been delayed.

I know KO will do the right thing. A man who could be so honest and brave that he humbled himself to apologize to the KosKidz and on his program for his failure to identify Lawrence O"Donnell as a WHATEVER will surely extend the same courtesy to the POTUS and the country for his erroneous rush to judgment.

    Grammie

The leftist media's irresponsible reporting on the bridge collapse was widespread. I remember scenes of Iraq juxtaposed on the bridge collapse on all the networks as if it was already clear funding for infrastructure was lacking because of the war. The logical and RATIONAL conclusion showed it was a design flaw not yet known and now the problem can be solved.

The left claims to be rational and right.....They seldom are.....Keith Olbermann is a very clear example of both the attitude and approach of the typical leftist. The bridge collapse story is another example where the left got it wrong because of their irrational hatred and lack of integrity....This is also why we will never see a mea culpa.

It is a shame because I am sure many bought into the story that the country was being neglected domestically because of the bad war in Iraq....It is interesting that that line of reasoning has now been abandoned and all we are hearing is recession fears.....I do not think I have seen one story on Iraq casualties in about 5 months! Why?

It is a shame that the left turns it collective back so easily on people because of political calculations. We were told the soldiers were dying needlessly in Iraq....demogoguery....now no leftist, including Olbermann, mentions them! Wow, what a sign of abandonment!

So, the bridge collapsed because the engineers screwed up....not George Bush!......So, the war is lost and needlessly killing thousands ......but now we ignore the issue because discussing the economy will be more politically advantagous to our struggle for power.....

If anyone ever asks me to say why I have never been and will never be a leftist, the last 2 years will be a clear example why I could not buy into such a vapid and immoral worldview.

    Grammie,

Since we enjoy the internet, do you think that one of us should apply for the job of blogsite monitor against heresy, so Olbermann and MSNBC can stay on the up-and-up with lefty loons?

We can write Keith's cue cards saying things like "In the interest of "fairness" we should inform you that so-n-so has written that HRC is unfit for leadership because of her Iraq War vote." and "For the sake of full disclosure, Ms Guest has blogged that Obama lacks experience"....

Of course we'll ignore any previous excoriations of any Republican candidates by guests who are subsequently pronouncing upon them on Countdown.

Heck...if Keith can call the Republican Party a terrorist organization and then co-anchor Republican debates...well...who cares...

    Certainly not MSNBC.

Once again, the good news from Iraq and the fruits of patience, the surge and the hard work of the United States Armed Forces applied to the challenge against terrorism and islmaic extremism go under reported by the likes of the hateful left....meaning Olbermann.....

U.S. says Iraq forces could control provinces this year

    ###
Where was this story in the 5 little pigs list Olbermann spewed last night?....No where....aw, what a surprise!?!

Al Qaeda denied a victory in Iraq despite the anti-freedom left in America pushing for a Vietnam-like conclusion back in 2006/early 2007......

The people of Iraq given a chance to form a complicated democracy that allows them to choose their leaders and NOT be under the thumb of a ruthless dictator and his minions....DESPITE the anti-freedom left in American pushing for the staus quo for a regime capable of supplying WMD and vast financial support for terrorists.....

Ah, the conclusions of history are forming and the left once again is on the wrong side.....

What about those promises of withdrawl?.....What about those promises of change?.....What about those predictions of a lame duck President without one ounce of credibility or power for the remainder of his term?.......

Now, Bush even has the upper hand regarding the tax cuts he got through.....Yeah, I would love to see the democrat leadership RAISE taxes on Americans at the beginning of a recession....that would make sense.....

Oh me oh my....what a situation.....the class wars are thwarted, the tax cuts will likely remain in place at least in the short term AND Iraq policy goes on untouched by the fools on the left....successfully.....

And this is my post today, the 1,725th day since the declaration of Mission Accomplished in Iraq.....

I am cee, good night and good luck.

"I'd tell you that the Democrats are talking a good game, but they're not even doing that. Everybody in Congress has to understand something: If they continue to fund this war, it's not just the President who owns it. They own it, too." Sgt. Liam Madden

"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration's policies in Iraq. Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back." NYT 1/28/07

"I think the Vietnamese are better off in Vietnam," George McGovern - NEWSWEEK

"Lefties: Leave these pathetic drowning rats alone to stew in each other's juices. Get yourselves out in the street and fight this criminal administration in ways that really mean something, and that are noted by more than a handful of keyboard heroes!" Sir Loin of Beef

"American liberals need to face these truths: The demand for self-government was and remains strong in Iraq despite all our mistakes and the violent efforts of al Qaeda, Sunni insurgents and Shiite militias to disrupt it." DEMOCRAT Bob Kerrey

"If we end up saying that because these people are committing these acts of terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan, that we shouldn't have done the removal of Saddam or the removal of the Taliban, then we are making a fundamental mistake about our own future, about security, about the values we should be defending in the world." TONY BLAIR

"You can't bring the troops home if you give George Bush $100 billion to wage this war. You're not supporting them. You're keeping them in harm's way." CINDY SHEEHAN

"There is no doubt ... that Al Qaeda is operating in Iraq. There is no doubt that we've had to take very strong measures against them. And there is no doubt that the Iraqi security forces have got to be strong enough to be able to withstand not just the violence that has been between the Sunni and the Shia population and the Sunni insurgency, but also Al Qaeda itself." GORDON BROWN

"People of America: the world is following your news in regards to your invasion of Iraq, for people have recently come to know that, after several years of tragedies of this war, the vast majority of you want it stopped. Thus, you elected the Democratic Party for this purpose, but the Democrats haven't made a move worth mentioning. On the contrary, they continue to agree to the spending of tens of billions to continue the killing and war there." OSAMA BIN LADEN

"Al Qaeda really hurt us, but not as much as Rupert Murdoch has hurt us, particularly in the case of Fox News. Fox News is worse than Al Qaeda--worse for our society. It's as dangerous as the Ku Klux Klan ever was."
    KEITH OLBERMANN

"Thinking such as your's is a cancer on our nation that needs to be cut out." MIKE posted 10/4/07 7:02PM

Time will tell, anon....if the Iraqi security forces are unable to take more responsiblity in the next 9 months....I will mea culpa...I have no reason to mistrust the fine men and women of our military and it seems most of the left's ruling class are taking Secretary Gates at his word.....

I deal in facts, not political spin, anon.....you try to defend the tact of you and your ilk a year ago when the surge was debated in light of the improving security situation seen now and I'll be glad to respond.

    @ anon 10:33

And we're supposed to believe someone who's parroting something that was said on Bill Maher's program last week?

    http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSL117755820080111

"U.S. could hand over Iraq's Anbar in March-April"

    http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSANW17538920080111

"U.S. forces in Iraq on offensive against Qaeda"

keef the petulant paranoid and anonymous are desperate to believe Iraq is hopeless. the truth is the country is transforming itself, not from the 'elected govt' down, but from the ground up, the people. the government will get the message in due course. watch and learn, bush haters.

European and American papers of record have been widely reporting that the Iraqi government has largely ceased to function

Where to start....my dizziness is getting worse.....

Run up to the war garbage......this argument is met with my idealism in relating to the fact that Iraqi people were liberated by an immoral despot who supplied financial and possible future WMD support to islamic terrorists.....period......

The gains made in iraq are real and positive and would NOT have occured in the left's options were chosen last year....but we have to use the red herring of alleged illegal behavior in The White House to divert attention to this fact.....

I am going to rest now....the spinning is getting worse.

    BOBO,

"We weren't lied to in the run up to war?"

I wasn't lied to. I never listen to Bush, or any other President, for that matter. Why do you? They are all spinning something. When Clinton would bite his lower lip did that make you swoon?

What did he apologize for, Johnny?

I don't have to listen to anything the Bush Administration says about how the war in Iraq is going. All I have to do is listen to the media and notice that Iraq is hardly even mentioned anymore when they used to talk non-stop about how bad things were going. That alone tells me things are getting better there at least for the time being. But you can bet on it that if things were to start turning for the worse the media would start right back up again.

Well, Johnny, not only can you swamp Playboy's mail so completely that they have to go begging for a positive Olbermann letter (and THIS from an "obscure" website...), you attract enemies who LINK your own site...

Are you sure your last name isn't Rove?

Bubba Clinton is running around NV screaming Voter intimidation. He is determined no to let the crook from Cook to steal anther primary like he did in Iowa. Obamanation needs to learn that the Clinton crime family still runs the Democrats. I'll say it again, when you nominate clowns, don't be surprised if a circus breaks out.

goodness, Billary has been ahead in the polls since the begining. Bill has lost all credibility with me and many other independents. Obama is losing Nev now. Hopefully McCain pulls out a win in SC, he is the ONLY repub I'll vote for. At one point I would have voted for Hillary, but Bill's voter surpression lie is the final straw.

    McCain in 08

Drudge seems to be calling it for Hillary. Oh well, at least 4 more year for republicans.

One thing, Keith sure is happy. He's one of biggest Hillary Whores around.

Seems old Keify is starting to become a regular commenter at the Daily Kos:

    Yeahbut (31+ / 0-)
Please note these morons got the year of the 2008 Iowa Caucus wrong.

"Just one day before the Jan. 3, 2007 Iowa caucus..."

The hope is that those enticed by the smears will note the date and conclude they must've slept through that hotly-contested 2007 presidential election.

Some good insight about the Olbermann apology to the Kos folks from newsbusters:
    (an excerpt):

Can you believe this nonsense? Olbermann has a devout Democrat and well-established liberal commentator on his show, and all because the Kos Kidz aren't happy with something said guest recently wrote, the host is apologizing?

This coming from a man who last month told Bill Moyers, "W]hat I've done on the air in the last 4 1/2 years, and particularly in the last year and a half since the special comments began, is really journalism?"

Is it really journalism, Keith, to have to apologize to readers of a liberal blog for having a guest on your program that they suddenly don't like?

The good folks at MSNBC should be very proud of their two key anchors, for in the course of 24 hours, one apologized to a Democrat presidential candidate for being too hard on her while another said he was sorry to a liberal website for having on his program a guest that is currently on the network's payroll as a political analyst.

Olby still has work to do before he is back in good graces with the Clinton mafia. Granted, having Crazy Larry on the Hour of Spin after he poor-mouthed John Edwards probably helped Olby's effort to get out of the doghouse, but he'd better think twice before he disses Hill again. Just ask the families of former clinton cronies who suddenly "committed suicide" or wound up "missing."

RK, that thought did cross my mind. Good point. You also can include the scads of women that Hill hunted down in order to dissuade them (so to speak) from ratting out BJ Clinton for his extramarital activities.

    Cover your eyes, Olbyloons!

Soon after Clinton lawyer Vince Foster committed suicide under mysterious circumstances, his office was cleared out. Along with his office went the Whitewater billing records and several key pieces of evidence. Evidence suggests that Clinton associate Bernard Nussbaum purposely delayed access to the office to investigators. Not to mention the mysterious suicide in which there is some hint that evidence was tampered with. Witnesses have testified they saw Clinton aides clearing the supposedly sealed office.
    Back

I wonder where those whitewater billing records came fromgate:
Years after they had disappeared from Vince fosters office, subpoenaed Whitewater billing records appeared in the White House. In January of 1996 an aide stumbled across them sitting on a table in the White House. They couldn't have been sitting their all these years unnoticed. Hillary's finger prints were on them.

    Democratic Sen. Robert Byrd, Ex-Klansman
by Michelle Malkin (March 8, 2001)

Ex-Klansman Robert Byrd, the senior senator from West Virginia, casually used the phrase "white nigger" twice on national TV this weekend. Enraged civil rights groups organized a protest campaign against Sen. Byrd and demanded that he undergo sensitivity training ... not.

The ex-Klansman, you see, is a Democrat. Democrats can join hate groups and utter the ugliest racial slurs and get away with it because they are Democrats. They belong to the party of racial tolerance and understanding. They're paragons of virtue, and the rest of us are bigoted rubes.

The ex-Klansman showed his true colors when asked by Fox News Sunday morning talk show host Tony Snow about the state of race relations in America. Sen. Byrd warned: "There are white niggers. I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time. I'm going to use that word. We just need to work together to make our country a better country, and I'd just as soon quit talking about it so much."

Byrd is just an old fool !

I don't think Sen Byrd is a racist, RK and Janet, he's just a clueless old geezer who belongs to the right party so he's never had to bother with getting a clue.

The only way the race card would be played against him is if he switched parties or suddenly entered the Democratic presidential primary... :D

Cecelia, I only posted the Byrd piece in response to 'anonymous' and 'whys' post below. He posted it anonymously, of course. He thinks he's sly.

    Just an excerpt:

"You know the former president, who I think all of us have a lot of regard for, has taken his advocacy on behalf of his wife to a level that I think is pretty troubling," Obama said. "He continues to make statements that are not supported by the facts -- whether it's about my record of opposition to the war in Iraq or our approach to organizing in Las Vegas.

"This has become a habit, and one of the things that we're going to have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he's making statements that are not factually accurate," Obama said. "

I wouldn't bet the farm, Janet, I don't think a Democrat has EVER gotten on the WPITW list.

Obama certainly won't. Remember Keith knows that this obscure site kept Playboy from receiving one coherent letter in his support.

There's no telling what sort of rage the Daily Kos and Media Matter might pour down on MSNBC over an Obama WPITW.... :D

    If Obama were to get the nomination, look for a high Democratic turn-out;

    >

    Clinton, an unremarkable turn-out.

    >

McCain can't win within the party, and the establishment money will not get behind him; Romney can't win outside the party and, because of that, the establishment money will not get behind him; Guiliani can't win inside or outside the party, and the establishment money will not get behind him. In other words, the money guys may set this one out.

    >

Hillary and Obama are talking nice now

    >

The hillary/obama ticket is nothing more than a sexist/racist ticket. Which is the only way they can win. obama can't even get over 50% of the black vote, he needs her. They also split illegal alien votes. They need each other to get their busses together to drive them to the polls and show them which box to mark.

anony, I think your 'editor friend' is in line to be fired like the la times editor. Especially, if he helped you put together this jibber-jabber:

McCain can't win within the party, and the establishment money will not get behind him; Romney can't win outside the party and, because of that, the establishment money will not get behind him; Guiliani can't win inside or outside the party, and the establishment money will not get behind him. In other words, the money guys may set this one out.

Thompson disappears as early as today, and Huckabee is a one trick pony, hoping for a VP slot on a Romney ticket.

Hillary and Obama are talking nice now with some sense they may want to team up in November. A Clinton-Obama ticket would set up a classic urban v. rural, central city v. exurbs contest with the Clinton-Obama ticket winning all the major Texas cities (Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, El Paso) except Fort Worth and taking all of Texas south of Austin (the Coastal Bend and South Texas coastal counties, the Rio Grande Valley and the border counties in Southwest Texas.

David Brock’s media watchdog group, Media Matters, spends its multi-million dollar budget trying to point out errors made by conservative talk show hosts and columnists. In yesterday’s edition, talk show host Michael Savage is accused of lying about illegal aliens and voting rights. Here is what Savage is quoted as saying on his July 26 show:

“I’ll go down the list of people who should not have the right to vote. Let’s start with illegal aliens. Should they have the right to vote? Course they shouldn’t, but they do. They’re being courted by the Democrats as we speak.”

The smug liberals at Media Matters respond: “Contrary to Savage’s assertion, the U.S. Constitution grants voting rights only to American citizens.”
    >>>

This prompted one of Media Matters’ uninformed readers to comment, “He thinks illegal aliens can vote? What an idiot. Is he really worth taking seriously?”

I hate to burst their self-righteous bubble, but here in my home county, Montgomery County, Md., six cities (Garrett Park, Takoma Park, Somerset, Chevy Chase, Martin’s Additions and Barnesville) allow illegal aliens to vote in local elections. So do Amherst and Cambridge, Mass. A similar policy was proposed last month by Democrats in San Francisco.

Being wrong is a bitch, isn't it? Can you say "debunked?"

Good enough, anony? I love how you immediately discount the hotty, Malkin. Shows your hatefulness and how partisan you really are.

"With the passage of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) ? known as the Motor-Voter law ? the process of registering to vote became nearly automatic for anyone applying for a state driver's license. Under this law, the information supplied by the applicant for a license doubles as information for voter registration unless the applicant indicates that he/she does not want to be registered to vote. With driver's licenses made available by several states to aliens (both legal and illegal), it seems likely that voter rolls now contain large numbers of non-citizens ? enough in close elections to change the outcome if those aliens illegally vote."

    More debunking.....

You’ve heard about those satirical “10 out of 10 terrorists agree: Anybody But Bush” bumper stickers? There may be more truth to them than you think. John Fund, author of Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy, reports that at least eight of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers were eligible to vote in Virginia or Florida while they plotted to kill Americans.

What’s to stop the next foreign terrorist plotter from casting a tainted ballot in the nation he has sworn to destroy? Not much. According to the Franklin County Board of Elections, the Dispatch reports, the office simply “takes a person's word, that they're (sic) a U.S. citizen."

In the battleground state of Wisconsin, the story is the same for those who are responsible for registering other people to vote. Not only do we regularly do nothing to verify the citizenship of people voting, but we also shrug our shoulders at the citizenship status of election workers. I recently obtained a disturbing set of investigative reports from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), outlining how the city of Racine neglects to ask deputy registrar applicants for identification or proof of citizenship.

The wickedly funny and witty political columnist and bestselling author Ann Coulter (or as I call her the blonde bomber) once wrote that when liberals pass by a graveyard, they see potential voters. I would take it further: when liberals see hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens swarming over our unprotected borders, they see potential voters. An added bonus is that these illegal aliens can't speak English and are ripe for indoctrination by the Democrat Party's Hispanic overseers within the "liberal plantation."

Do you think this writer exaggerates? Just look at the recent congressional race in southern California between Bilbray and Busby. Busby, the Democrat candidate, told a room full of llegals that they didn't need "papers" -- meaning identification -- to vote. Thank goodness it was recorded and played on talk radio shows across the nation. Busby lost because she got caught saying what Democrats probably tell illegal aliens all the time.
