Let me get this right... the student uprising in China during the 80's is an example for Klein's theory?!
You could attach that same scenario to virtually any crisis history which even remotely involved a capitalist nation.
Everything from the results of post-WWII Japan, what's happened to Vietnam in the aftermath of the Vietnam War, to Clinton's bombing of Bosnia (and subsequently the jet that crashed while heading over there carrying Clinton Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and a plethora of CEOs).
why/patsy, what does your tripe have to do with olbyonesidedkanoby or Naomi Klein? Go back to your fav athiest site or maybe make a joke out of yourself with some of that 'truthout' crap.
What in the wide world of sports does this have to do with Olbermann or Naomi Klein? And neat bit of editing there, Why, snipping out the fact that Novak was quoting Joe Biden, that well known racist of the right.
That's why the poster sometimes known as 'why' didn't post the link, he knew he was being dishonest. Philby, don't call him a single name, grasp tightly to your badge o hypocriticism.
Leave Creationism to the Sunday bible studies or to Sharon's home school curriculum which probably consists of 80% religion anyway.

If you attack someone personally without verifiable facts, there is a better than 80% chance you are an Olbyloon.
I apologize to Johnny for not remaining on the thread topic, but my name was quoted and the comment was left to stand.
You fail to comprehend that there are various groups of Christians. There are groups of Christians who believe in sola scripture (Bible alone). Catholics follow the Bible and Tradition. Is there a literal 6 day creation? "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2 Peter 3:8 I don't know how long creation took or at what point the soul was infused into man.
Secondly, there is a theory called theistic evolution (a topic I have seen but not studied). Now, how will this take into account the objection to separation of church and state? So what appears to me that what will be taught is that man came into being through either chance, natural selection, some theory that does not involve God. I think that is where parents will start to see the conflict, ones who are not evangelical. They want their children to appreciate science but don't want an atheistic presentation of the facts. After all, a pretty large number do label themselves as Christians.
Why do you think there is a theological schism between evangelicals and Catholics? This is not meant to cause a wedge between the two groups but point out another view.
Speaking of the topic of chimps, I never heard an answer from you, chicken blogger.
Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 - Declares that it should be the policy of the United States to seek to remove the Saddam Hussein regime from power in Iraq and to replace it with a democratic government. H.R.4655
I thought it was all Bush's chimpocracy idea to spread freedumbs? Why would there be practically unopposed legislation signed by the President in 1998 (with vociferous objection by Republican Ron Paul) if it was such a chimpy idea that democracy would flourish? There was no war authorization then and compelling arguments can be made against the war (that were not made when it counted). But I am hearing that it was a ridiculous endeavor to even suppose a democratic Iraq.
There was one response, to his/her credit, lame as it was.
Additionally, no response for the following:
DESIGNATION OF IRAQI DEMOCRATIC OPPOSITION ORGANIZATION.
(a) INITIAL DESIGNATION- Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act , the President shall designate one or more Iraqi democratic opposition organizations that the President determines satisfy the criteria set forth in subsection (c) as eligible to receive assistance under section 4.
90 Days! Think about that. And this is with the President determining whether criteria are met.
Yet dogmatic poseurs such as Cecelia still think Creationism should be taught in public schools.
