Olbermann and Matthews can be guaranteed to openly jeer and laugh at one or more Republican candidates per primary coverage. The fact that MSNBC insists on letting these two openly partisan hacks anywhere near their political coverage speaks volumes about how low the standards at NBC have fallen. At least they saw the light and won't let either of them host anymore debates. If someone at Fox or CNN had done the same (twice) to a Democratic candidate, the Kossacks would be demanding the networks be shut down. But let matthews & olbermann do it and they are celebrated as heroes (although Matthews is still on the ropes with the KosKids because of his comments regarding HRC last week).

Rush Limbaugh is a self proclaimed conservative....a "right-winger." He is a free market capitalist, who exalts Ronald Reagan to the level of diety.....He reads Lincoln on his radio program every Thanksgiving, extoling the great influence God has had on our nation in the past through believers and decries the secularist trends we have seen since the 1940's. He also describes himself as pro-life.

Now if you doubt his sincerity, that is your right to do so.....however, to place your biased, unobjective and unsubstantiated belief as fact that Limbaugh is apolitical is illogical and not defensable.

The same is true of Olbermann. He has expressed radical leftist dogma as true....including the lies of decades of US hegemony. He also has decried the neoconservative movement as well as the beliefs of fundamentalist Christians. Combined, these positions are clearly those of radical leftists.

Also, his taking on the cause of voter fraud in the 2004 election, which was another pet project of the rapid left, is another sign of his political affiliation.

Again, if you think Olbermann is "acting," and doubt his sincerity, than that is your opinion and I ask for somekind of reasoning and evidence of your conclusion.

Olbermann is the left's Rush Limbaugh in the sense of his level objectivity and tactics. Limbaugh has a much larger audience and is more talented with regard to humor and satire....but that is an opinion.

Your analysis leaves many unanswered questions and is not backed up well....Frankly, I am surprised.

Saying Olbermann is apolitical is neither expressing a fondness for him nor defending him. In fact, in my book, it is rather a slam. I just don't see any evidence that Olbermann has any firm political beliefs, certainly no solid partisan home. Had we been in an era of Democratic control when Olbermann began his rise, and he saw rising conservatism on the horizon, I have no doubt he would have become have ridden that wave. He was looking for a niche.

On the heels of the very successful Daily Show and Colbert Report, MSNBC decided to have show very similar.
The problems with the show are olbermann is not very funny, he leans very far to the left of center and from time to time he tries to portray himself as a serious news journalist.

If a Democrat takes office, he'll have to decide if he wants to report the news or have an hour of bashing Republics. The later will make his ratings suffer.
