Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    January 31, 2008
Keith Olbermann: He Has the Brown Touch

Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly book Culture Warrior

It boggles the mind of clear thinkers how people seeking insightful analysis would actually turn to the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann. Never mind all his factual errors, lies, and misreporting. His track record as a opinionator (which is what he is, not a "journalist") is dismal.

When Fat Ass was riding in the front car of the Hillary train, he erupted in manufactured outrage over Chris Wallace, who dared to ask Bill Jefferon Clinton about Usama Bin Laden. Oralmann bellowed endlessly that Wallace, who is Jewish, was not a newsman but a "monkey". Wallace's behavior was so heinous that it was flogged day after day on The Hour of Spin. Obviously, the Clintons were so injured by the eeevil Wallace that they'd never deal with this "monkey" again. Except, of course, that they did. Not only did Hillary come on Wallace's Fox News Sunday, but for her most recent appearance on Fox she actually requested that Wallace do the interview! Great perspicacity there, Bathtub Boy.

More recently, it was just last week that Olbermoronn, following the lead of his Daily Kos Giupettos, declared that John Edwards's campaign was surging. He could finish second! His message is finally connecting! Just five days later, after a humiliating third place finish, Edwards pulled out of the race entirely. Clearly Olby does not have the Midas touch. Indeed, everything he touches turns to... well, it's not gold.

And yet credulous lemmings will tune in again tonight, as Edward R Olbermann, mindful of slipping ratings, and eager to obey the demands of the Kossacks, presents yet another Special Education Komment:

In a Presidency of hypocrisy, an Administration of exploitation, a labyrinth of leadership, in which every vital fact is a puzzle inside a riddle wrapped in an enigma hidden under a claim of executive privilege supervised by an idiot, this one is surprisingly easy. President Bush has put, protecting the Telecom giants from the laws…ahead of protecting you from the terrorists.

He has demanded an extension of the FISA law, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, but only an extension that includes retroactive immunity for the Telecoms who helped him spy on us.

Congress has given him, and he has today signed, a fifteen day extension, which simply kicks the time bomb down the field, and has changed nothing of his insipid rhetoric, in which he portrays the Democrats as "soft on terror" and getting in the way of his Superhuman efforts to protect the nation... when, in fact, and with bitter irony, if anybody is "soft on terror" here it is Mr. Bush.

It will have the camera pivots, the theatrical declamations, a whole fitsfull of insinSirs, and of course the usual passel of fictions that we have come to expect from Bear. How many lies will he tell this time? Will he again make up nonexistent drivel about the law of habeas corpus? Use our valuable bandwidth for your predictions and comments.

What I find most disconcerting is the inability of MSNBC and viewers of "Countdown" to see that it is not a 'news' program. And Olbermann is no journalist or newsman. As I watch his show (for this much comic relief) I ask myself, "Can I think of any other news broadcaster who resorts to name calling on every single show? Would Brokaw call someone 'Comedian Rush Limbaugh,' Or Bill O'Reilly the names that Olbermann uses? Or any of the other tactics that Olbermann uses to disparage those with whom he disagrees?" My answer is a resounding "NO!" If he wants to be a left wing talking head, so be it. Let him. But call it what it is. An hour of opinion. Slanted, left wing opinion. Don't debase other, real news shows by misrepresenting just exactly what it is.
    The End.

Actually, if you look at lefty sites they celebrate his views and that he represents them...just reading the comments, they do not seem to think he is objective either...that is saved for the leftards that post here to say he is impartial

It seems to me that his pronouncements, like the whopper he made about how Edwards could finish #2 without any empirical evidence to suggest this notion was actually true, would be enough for his fanatical fans to get that Olbermann doesn't know his head from his rear when it comes to talking politics. Just because he wants something to be so, it is in Olbyworld. And that apparently is just the way his fans, all seriously lacking in critical thinking skills, want it. They would be very amusing if they weren't so pathetic. No, I take that back, they are both pathetic and it is the degree to which they worship him and the degree to which he brownnoses to them that is the amusing part.

The MSNBC News Hole site is claiming tonight will be wall-to-wall Olbermann....even giving advice to put the kids alseep early.....

Oh and the picture....OLBY'S HAVING TWINS!

    http://thenewshole.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/01/31/625673.aspx

    ###
My predictions of Olbermann's behavior rarely hit their target but I'll try again.....

TOPICS: FISA, AG Mukasey's testimony on torture.....Bush is evil...He is very, very, very evil.

    NUMBER OF LIES: 8

NUMBER OF CAMERA ANGLE SWITCHES: 4

    NUMBER OF POWERFUL PAUSES: 2

SPITTLE: ONLY ONCE (he's talking a lot tonight....so, a dry mouth)

FRAMES: Ashley Banfield's granite 1.5" elipises

TIE COLOR: Pink with light purple stripe

    NUMBER OF MISPRONOUNCED WORDS: 14

    ^ too funny cee.

Since he is in LA tonight, I predict the camera anlges switches will be 6

"If he wants to be a left wing talking head, so be it. Let him. But call it what it is. An hour of opinion. Slanted, left wing opinion."

Well, many of his lefty fans also think that Stewart/The Daily Show is a reliable news source too. Even though Stewart admits that they make things up. Edit tapes, et cetera.

It's like telling six-year olds that Santa isn't real.

    They...just...don't...want...to...believe..it.

It must just burn Olbermann up that Hillary requested and interview with Chris Wallace on Hannity and Combs no less. And what did Wallace say at the end of the interview with Hillary? "Back to you Sean". LOL. Why didn't she do an interview with Olbermann? Could it be that she wants people to actually see the interview?

Oh, good grief, Johnny, are they actually releasing the text of his "Special Comment" BEFORE the program, as they do presidential speeches?!

"...Telecoms who helped him spy on us."...hmmm...ever the subtle, reasoned, and non-fear mongering sort, isn't he... :D

It's just a teaser. You know, so the blue blogs can salivate over Olby calling Bush an "idiot" and insist that their readers dump the Dem debate on CNN and watch The Hour of Spin instead.

    Cecelia:
Now, now, remember, only Republicans engage in fear-mongering.

Seriously, are there any people who believe that the government must get a warrant from FISC if they want to listen to a phone call overseas from Zawahiri to Bin Laden simply because the call is intercepted in the US?

The law is an anachronism; technology has transcended much of the substance and intent.

A serious, responsible discussion of how we need to address this is warranted. Men and women on all sides can discuss this.

But you'll hear and see none of this on Olbermann's show.

Olbermann will take the Muslim Shahadad, declare his support of Al-Qaeda and Iran, then blow himself up!

Oh, good. This way his audience will be well-informed during the pro and con discussion of the issue and fully informed on how many members of congress had been apprised of the program and had approved of it.

    Or perhaps not...

Clinton's Media Matters keeps the lie going:

Fox News is in for a very rough 2008
    by Eric Boehlert

    I) Fox News reporter Major Garrett botching his "exclusive" that Paul Begala and James Carville were going to join Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign, and then refusing to correct the record.

Well, a discussion like might carry the implication that politics is more than good team vs bad team. Not to mention going completely over the moron's head.

It must just burn Olbermann up that Hillary requested and interview with Chris Wallace on Hannity and Combs no less. And what did Wallace say at the end of the interview with Hillary? Posted by: The Factor at January 31, 2008 4:36 PM

Why should she go on his show? Low rated and already delivering the Dem talking points. Give her a little more credit. She can spew her Dem talking points to a much bigger audience, plus, doesn't Fox & the repubs WANT to run against HER? She, along with Reagan, is the GREAT uniter of the Republican Party.

    Phony Soldier:
    Take the act elsewhere please.

The interesting thing is that it makes no difference whether blue blog readers watch Olbermann or the Democratic debate.

They are both essentially the same program.

This was floating around the Olbyshere for awhile but I've never seen it posted here

Keith Olbermann's Formula For Special Comments
    Courtesy of "C"

    1) Find something you can slam the Republicans about (preferably this will be an issue which will allow you to simultaneously ass-kiss the Democrats).

    2) Bonus points if the segment can be directly addressed to the President (yeah, as if he's watching!!!).

    3) Do a quick review for the audience of Bush's incompetence while in office.

    4) Invoke mentions of other bleak periods in American history.

    5) Draw parallels with "1984" or other Orwell works.

    6) Quote the words of a former president (Lincoln is preferred).

    7) As the ire of the segment rises, a planned camera switch from head on to an angle occurs.

    8) Go back to the head on camera angle, and get even angrier.

    9) Quote some other famous figure from literature/history/philosophy.

    10) Get in a slam at Fox News, if possible.

    11) Make a mention of 9/11, if possible.

    12) Conclude segment in such a fury that you practically spit the words "good night and good luck" at the camera.

Olbermann & O'Reilly pick the Giants to win Superbowl:

The Giants even brought together two rivals who rarely agree on anything: FOX TV host Bill O'Reilly and his nemesis, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann. Olbermann sees the Giants winning, 27-21, while O'Reilly picks New York, 31-30.

If the Giants win 31-30, O'Reilly will join tennis legend Martina Navratilova (1998) and actor Dennis Farina (2005) as the only celebrities in the history of the Scripps Howard Celebrity Super Bowl Poll to pick the winning team and get the score exactly right.

KEITH OLBERMANN, MSNBC TV host: Giants, 27-21. Not a lot of people noticed that by December, Eli Manning had already made the first hurdle of greatness: eight fourth-quarter comeback wins in his first four seasons. First you figure out how to reverse a disaster-in-progress. Then you learn how to prevent a disaster. He has just learned.

Thank God KO has found a new home with the Kossacks, a wram and cozy place for Bear to hibernate with friends. The Kos comments are either wishing KO a happy birthday, praising him or defending him. Cali Scribe, a fangirl who posts as justme2 at one of the fangirl sites has his back across the Olbysphere.

    Actually (2+ / 0-)
Keith's done quite a bit of coverage on FISA -- during the last filibuster (before this week's work) he talked to Chris Dodd who was on the campaign trail in Iowa, and I think he talked to him again after Dodd withdrew from the race.

    Concern from the loons -

Keith seems not very chatty tonight. I feel like he’s recusing himself more and more due to his partisanship. That’s big of him, but luckily they brought Brian Williams on to talk sense.
BY TORI ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2008 10:18 PM

So Kieth believes that sticking it to the phone companies is more important than protecting the lives of Americans? Does anybody else see the insanity in this way thinking?

Why do I think that Olbermann's opinion on suggested changes in FISA will be remarkably similar to those expressed by his guests?

    Turley et al.

I know, I know, I'm really rolling the dice here. Live life in the fast lane, I say.

Wonder how many Republican members of the intelligence committee he followed up with...

Well those are facts used to support an opinion why, you don\'t think that will persuade this bunch do you?

RK should be along any minute to accuse you of having no facts (even thogh you do.)

\"Wonder how many Republican members of the intelligence committee he followed up with..\"

Well I have never heard a good explanation why the executive branch should get to spy without any oversite at all, or why telecoms should get immunity if they have commited and illegal act. perhaps you can give one.

"Well I have never heard a good explanation why the executive branch should get to spy without any oversite at all, "

    It's called war.

Why does the President and military need approval from a judge to listen to enemy communications during a war?

It's never been required before in the history of the country.

One of the issues on the table is whether warrant are required to listen to communications between enemy soldiers/combatants that, because of technology, are transferred through circuits in the US.

The old law is outdated and cannot adequately deal with the new technologies we use (cell phones, et cetera).

\"Why does the President and military need approval from a judge to listen to enemy communications during a war?\"

Because the people they are spying on are American citizens if you evidence they are talking to Al Quaeda you have to get a warrent, just like if you evidence I am committing a crime to bug my house you must have a warrent. A warrent provides oversite and prevents abuse. Explain what keeps the executive branch from spying on whomever feels like wehenver he does.

\"It\'s never been required before in the history of the country.\"

It has when the people being monitored are residents of the U.S.

\"One of the issues on the table is whether warrant are required to listen to communications between enemy soldiers/combatants that, because of technology, are transferred through circuits in the US.\"

If you are randomly looking through my phone calls to find that without a warrent I take issue. I don\'t like being spied on.

\"The old law is outdated and cannot adequately deal with the new technologies we use (cell phones, et cetera).\"

Adding provisions for new technolog is fine as long as there is oversite to prevent abuse. No oversite is in place the exuctuive is basically saing \"trust me, we won\'t spy on you\" I don\'t trust goverment power and neither should you.

"Because the people they are spying on are American citizens if you evidence they are talking to Al Quaeda you have to get a warrent, just like if you evidence I am committing a crime to bug my house you must have a warrent."

Sorry, this is not what the discussion is about.

This is about enemy alien soldiers overseas and their communications. This has nothing to do with US citizens.

It has to do, for example, in party with two al-Qaeda agents communicating by cellphones in Pakistan or Iraq.

If the cell phone call is directed to satellites and then transferred through circuits in the US, the FISA law requires that a warrant be issued.

This is because when FISA was passed, we all used land lines. Now, we all use (mostly) cell phones.

We have never required the military to get a warrant during war when they were wanting to listen to enemy alien soldiers overseas planning attacks. Never.

These changes do not have anything to do with US citizens. It has to do with non-US persons communicating overseas.

Sorry that is what the discussion is about. Regardless of whether cell phones in Pakistan cross circuits in the U.S. if you give the goverment power to listen to American circuits withouit a warrent, and no oversite You are giving them permission to listen to your calls and mine.

That is because your calls and mine go over U.S. circuits. You know the ones you want to monitor without a warrent.

Mabe you trust the president when he says I\'ll only spy on terrorist but I don\'t and there is nothing in the provision that limits him to that. .

Happy belated birthday you wild Dalmatian you! I just can't that visual out of my mind! It is etched in my brain forever!

"This is the part the olbyloons can't get a grasp on. Steve, don't waste your time."

    I gave it a shot.

What's even more remarkable is that these same people want the government to take care of their healthcare, housing, food, education and everything else. From womb to tomb.

They don't want the government to listen in to communications between al-Qaeda overseas without a warrant but they want this same government to take care of their entire lives.

    No danger there, of course.

\"This is the part the olbyloons can\'t get a grasp on. Steve, don\'t waste your time.\"

Meaning I Rk have no response for the fact that that allowing unmonitored access of american circuits makes it in effect legal to spy on you and me. SO I Rk will instead sa you can graps it because I am too dumb to engage in the argument.

"have no response for the fact that that allowing unmonitored access of american circuits makes it in effect legal to spy on you and me. "

I can't understand why you don't see that this has nothing to do with US citizens. It won't make it "legal" to spy on us at all.

This has to do with aliens overseas communicating with one another and a cellphone conversation being directed or trasmitted through a US ground station.

Are you saying that during a war that the military must get a search warrant to listen to phone conversations between enemy soldiers if the conversation goes through a circuit in the US?

The basis for the FISA law is the Fourth Amendment and the prohibition against unreasonable searches without a search warrant.

Are you saying that the Taliban, for example, talking to one another in Afghanistan about attacking the US have Fourth Amendment rights?

The Constitution protects the rights of US citizens or legal residents.

It doesn't protect the rights of non-US citizens living overseas.

I disagree with your assesement Steve. This is from the Washingtonpost:

    By Dan Eggen
    Washington Post Staff Writer
    Friday, December 16, 2005; Page A01

President Bush signed a secret order in 2002 authorizing the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on U.S. citizens and foreign nationals in the United States, despite previous legal prohibitions against such domestic spying, sources with knowledge of the program said last night.

The super-secretive NSA, which has generally been barred from domestic spying except in narrow circumstances involving foreign nationals, has monitored the e-mail, telephone calls and other communications of hundreds, and perhaps thousands, of people under the program, the New York Times disclosed last night.

That means this is not limited to cell phones from Pakistan. Now I have a question, Why would we need to immunize telcos against prosecution if they commited no crime?

The US has thousands of secret satellites monitoring thousands of communications throughout the world, both public and governmental.

Did you morons hear recently about a 16 yr. old (not sure about the location, I think Finland) that called the W.H. and wanted to prank Chimpy?

The USA authorities were on his ass faster than you can order a double Mc with bacon, large drink.

Any USA company that develops comm equipment, any USA company that sells to a country buying that equipment, even that N.K. Michael Jackson wanna be, IS monitored and tracked by the USA military.

FISA is not about external, international communications, IS about what is supposed to be PRIVATE communications inside the USA.

You morons think that when you place a long distance call, even to a nearby area code, within the USA the call goes through a very loooooooong string to reach your can?

Not to mention, the fact that IF fisa is not strong enough, the proper course is to go through Congress and pass a new stronger law to meet changing technology. The president does not have the power to ignore a law if he thinks it is no longer practical.

Keith is already tripping over his words in anticipation of his special comment. Wonder what he does to work himself to such a froth-mouthed frenzy. Drugs? Buffet line? Watching hours of O'Reilly? Inflate his blow-up doll? I hope he doesn't peak too soon and wear himself out before special comment time.

    - FOX News Channel (FNC) continued its six-year reign as the most-watched cable news channel during the month of January, beating the competition in both Total Day and Prime Time viewership, according to Nielsen Media Research.
    - Among all basic cable channels - FNC ranked fourth for the month in Prime Time viewership.
    - FNC secured 14 out of the top 16 programs in cable news for the month based on P2+.
    - In Adults 25-54, FNC grabbed eight of the top 11 programs.
    - FOX & Friends increased by 26% in viewership, and was the only 7:00am – 9:00am show to post gains in Demo viewers.

I'll find the video on youtube.

I just had spaghetti so I'm not up to stomaching the immense portentousness that Olbermann affects for these occasions. :D

Apparently Democratic Party faithful wanting to see the South Carolina primary results didn't tune into Fox News, while Republican voters had better things to do with their Saturday night (which is why weekend phone polling skewers Democrat during general elections, BTW).

The fact that Democrats favor CNN and MSNBC over Fox is about as surprising as the sun coming up over the Atlantic tomorrow morning. But if someone wants to think Republicans want to spend their weekends listening to "The Cackle®", well, that's their prefrence.

One of the worst consequences of Olbermann's absurd commentaries is that there is a real legitimate concern about many of these national security measures.

Certainly, we should all be concerned about making sure we have adequate safeguards when the government's powers are expanded. Who disagrees with that?

However, our liberties are not only threatened by the government. In fact, government was constituted to secure our liberties. As Madison pointed out in discussing the checks and balances he viewed necessary, "If men were angels we wouldn't need the checks on government; but if men were angels we wouldn't need government."

Men aren't angels. That includes men who don't run our government. It's those men who threaten us as much, if not more, as Bush and the Administration.

For reasons I cannot comprehend, Olbermann views that external threat as just a chimera created by the Republicans to scare the electorate into voting for them.

Sorry, Keith, there are legions of people who aren't evil Republicans who warn about this threat.

Of course, you haven't heard of these folks because you never invite them on your show to discuss this with you.

Certainly, we should all be concerned about making sure we have adequate safeguards when the government's powers are expanded. Who disagrees with that? (Steve)

Even if Obama were to win the election, I don't see him overturning the measures that have been taken to secure our liberties. Whoever sits in that Oval Office chair will realize just how much is at stake. He/She will have all of that intelligence, all the worry that goes along with it. Where did Jane Harmon initially stand on the issue of wire tapping?

I hadn't thought of this in that particular context before your comments, Sharon and Steve.

I see Obama as this generation's Jimmah Carter and as such think that he is not fit to make decisions like this.

Carter abandoned Iran's Shah and a very comparitivly liberal and democratic government in a region ruled by crazy despots (forgive the hyperbole). This is what led to the invasion of Afghanistan by the Soviets that Carter met with the full force of America's might by banning our athletes from the Olympics.

That scares me b/c I think Obama is the more electable over HRC.

    Grammie

I don't believe very many politicians when they says what he/she will do. Often, they are insincere, or if they are sincere, they face roadblocks. One of the issues that angers me is that nothing has been done concerning social security. Bush was completely rejected on his plan, but at least he had one. No one is doing anything about it. My generation is the one that will be the first to suffer.

What was he wrong about ?

    Now open your eyes.

I think Olbermann's fan actually have the notion that he recuses himself from interviewing Republicans because if he interviewed a Republican pol he might go ballistic on them and put them on the spot.

Nothing could be further from the truth. As in commenting on the text of presidential speech that you've been given hours beforehand..., there are NO surprises on Olbermann's Countdown. He interviews people who say what he knows they are going to say. There are no conservative or WH spokespersons on who necessitate the need for him to be fully informed and quick on his feet. His material comes from Blue Blog.

Now in his promotion as MSNBC political coverage cohost, the suits have allowed him to be almost as ISOLATED as he is on Countdown. THAT protects him, NOT his guests.

It's a win-win situation for him. He doesn't like to hear opposition opinion, let alone tackle it by asking pertinent questions. He'd need a pretty good understanding of both sides of the issue if he had to do that, as well as an understanding of various political philosophies. Now he just recuses himself or lets Chris Matthews do the heavy lifting. He then tells Howard Kurtz that this arrangements constitutes some sort of FAIRNESS...

The media has always let him get away with this.

It's just like when he left The Big Show over his own egocentric pique and then turned the abandonment of his job as a journalist into some sort of moral badge of honor.

Olbermann has made a career of making his own intolerance, narcissism, and arrogance out to be moral courage.

He's now gone from implying that he's Edward R. Murrow to implying that he's Winston Churchill and the only way he gets away with this crap in his industry is that this behavior is against conservatives. Olbermann throws responsible journalism to the wind and speaks his mind and is overly anti-conservative, in the way his colleagues wish they could occasionally be, but don't have the narcissism, self indulgence, and sheer willfulness to pull off.

Hopefully one of these days, someone who matters in the the media, will have the gonads to point out that in reality this emperor wears no clothes.

It is truly amazing, no...stunning...that Olbermann can act so tough to a respected person like Andy Card in a Special Comment but didn't have the balls to confront him when Card call Matthews and him out for being biased on MSNBC on live television the night before. Any sense of objective journalism at NBC News is completely dead. I just can't believe that more folks in the MSM aren't pointing out this out.

I keep praying that one morning I'll awaken to hear on the "News" that they found DoucheBag floating in the East River with all the other garbage

    That's definitely Olbermann's M.O.

He is the LAST person who wants to be in the position where one the politicians who he's accused of various things, or some conservative spokesperson, is going to come after him.

Matthews can handle it. Olbermann can't. He doesn't have the experience, the knowledge, or the temperament. He's a "take my ball and go home" sort of guy, not a competitor.

MSNBC has given this guy a position that is above anything Tim Russert or Brian Williams could imagine. He gets to make accusations against people who never get the opportunity to answer him. MSNBC has done this not only because he's gotten some increases for them in ratings, but he's done what Air America can't do and gotten LIBERAL interest.

This guy is not only their ratings hope, he's their Great Orange Liberal Hope.

Maybe it's not linked because it's the sort of behavior that's expected and rarely commented upon anymore.

It's the same reason why some liberals here think nothing of pretending to be conservatives or engaging in other undercover behavior.

They simply tell themselves that conservatives don't deserve any better. They say "Iraq War", "Royal King", "Karl Rove" and "Fox News" a few times to themselves and any impulse to be straight-forward flies away.

That's Olbermann reasoning too, ie-- his argument that he doesn't have to offer a rebuttal from the people he makes charges against, because this is an emergency (rightwing fascism) situation.

Hence the term "olbyloon". You don't have to like him or his show to be his kinsman in the spirit...

The fact remains that the person's actions are probably traceable. No, I mean low life's actions.

I just read the Olbermann Special Education Komment, and it takes the cake for the sort of convoluted reasoning that is the hallmark of Keith Olbermann.

The Democrats know there's a good chance that the president really does have the power to do what he did. They know that that the Democratic leadership was apprised of the situation at the time.

Not that this couldn't fall out against Bush, but it's hardly decided and they and Olbermann know this.

So what the Democrats would like is to have a situation where groups such as the ACLU still can go after telecom companies REGARDLESS of how the legal decision falls out with Executive Privilege. This puts these companies fighting in court for years and it also makes for a lovely fishing expeditions into information that might be used against the Administration or that might give a hint of information that's classified.

    Fine. THAT'S POLITICS.

There's a stand-off being played between two factions. Bush says he won't sign the extention unless the potentially bad scenario for him is covered and congress says it won't issue legislation for an extension unless their potentially good scenario is included.

They are EQUAL partisans in this stand-off.

But where does our intrepid journalist come down? Is he grappling with the legal issue of presidential authority....nooooooo.... Is he giving you details of the politics involved on both sides....noooooooo..... Is he interviewing terrorist experts of differing opinions on whether or not the program is needed need so YOU can analyze their arguments and judge if the risk rises to potential abuses...noooooooo.....

The anti-freedom American left needs to respond to these lovely tactics from the enemy in Iraq.....

"Two mentally disabled women were strapped with explosives Friday and sent into busy Baghdad markets, where they were blown up by remote control from another location, a top Iraqi government official said.

    [...]

In both bombings, the attackers were mentally disabled women whose explosive belts were remotely detonated, Gen. Qasim Atta, spokesman for Baghdad's security plan, told state television.

An aide to Atta said that people referred to the bomber at central Baghdad's al-Ghazil market as the "crazy woman" and that the bomber at a second market had an unspecified birth disability. [...] The U.S. military blamed the bombings on al Qaeda in Iraq."

Typical liberal, can't stand the facts..so has to do something illegal to shut down any opposing opinions. Wonder if the Giant Orange Head-Herr Olbergoebbels will have a SPECIAL KOMMENT for this. Heil Olbergoebbels!!!!!!!! National Socialist/Communist uber alles!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link cee. Huffpo is littered with screaming idiots.

The whole gist of their schtick is coming up with their self indulgent play on words.

    "Faux News, RePUKEtans, etc.,

What simpletons. Now I know the mindset of the Hillary camp.

Wonder if the Giant Orange Head-Herr Olbergoebbels will have a SPECIAL KOMMENT for this. Heil Olbergoebbels!!!!!!!! National Socialist/Communist uber alles!!!!!!!!!

None of the above. Olbermann is merely a shovel-faced fashionably liberal demagogue.

    like a bad burrito.

There is no such thing as a bad burrito! I resent that comment.

I wish 'why' would tell us what name he posts under at the huffpo. I'll bet he has some doozies.

cee, speaking of 'why,' he's going to be pissed you didn't give him the chance to throw that left wing hit piece down our throats first while crying "see what we're doing!"

Bravo Keith... Bravo.. We shall all kneel to your genius.

umm, I mean, we shall kneel to your Penis.

Thank God it's over. Did the laughing stage hand have to wear a rain slicker after all that spitting?

I know RK....I decided to do a preemptive strike on a crazy post from HuffPo today and take the wind out of the professor's sails....

It seems the leftists approve of islamist radicals using mentally disabled people as living bombs so as it feeds their macabre need for bad news in Iraq.

On the other front, Professor Honeydew still refuses to either repudiate Billary's behavior or even tell us who he is voting for on Tuesday.....

It is still all about Bush for him and Olbermann.....Despite the facts that keep slapping such victims of BDS in the head....

No one is trying to impeach him....

No one is effectively stopping him from moving his policies forward......

The claims of damage Bush has done to our military, our constitutional rights and our economy all seem to only be addressed at a level suited for political fodder (and for The Special Comment), but no action is ever taken. The leftist ruling class in Washington is not enacting any initiatives that seem to address the horrible conditions of our Veterans, the horrible state of our military preparedness, the constitutional erosions or the economic strife caused by all those nasty corporations.....

The real work is still being initiated by a busy George Bush who is supposed to be the lamest of ducks seen in a long time.....

    Mmmm.

I've asked 'why' who he is backing countless times and he dodges it like a 3 meter machete........he always mysteriously disappears.

Cee, thanks for the tip re HuffPo.

Since I first read it under the skewed headline the info was there but most of their posters were not disapproving of it but rather took after the few who pointed out that two retarded women used as human bombs is about as pitiful as it gets.

I saw a few posts asking if others noticed that U S troops seemed to never be around when these attacks take place to get killed or maimed, huuuum!

HuffPo has changed the home page headline to now read:

"Mentally Retarded Females Used To Set Off Massive Iraq Attacks".

Everything else has remained the same.

You guys crack me up! I’ve been reading some of the entries and posts on this site and they are great! I almost thought that this was a for real site a few times. But I know that no one could be able to actually believe any of this stuff. It’s like the Onion. I get it now. Thanks for the yuks! You guys should think about doing this professionally. Really! Thanks!

Tha's how I felt about Olbermann's show. At first I thought it was supposed to be a real news program and then I realized it was a parody of a news show and that Keith wasn't really a journalist but a comedian wannabee. He's no Jon Stewart but he tries.

all nut sucking bj dems need to be left to their own hand job device and any TRUE REPUBLICIANS on this boad that disagrees proves yourself as a Micky Kain TRAITOR. Yes that's what I said TRAITOR! Sll out the citizens that work hard for a bunch of ILLEGALS. WAKE UP TRUE REPUBLICIAN'S. Rid the world of MALKIN'S and LIMPBALL'S and fight the TRUE FIGHT. NO TAX INCREASE FOR ANYONE BELOW 50,000. No sympathy for TRAITOR'S. ANY TRAITOR'S. TRIE and if CONVICTED, EXECUTE ALL TRATIOR'S.

You people are fucking stupid. If you can't see the alarming relevance of Olbermann's Comment re: Bush's FISA/telecom position, then you too dense to deal with.

....but of course you can see it; only your idolatry of Bush and your rotten craving for fascism keep you from admitting it publically.

There is a small concept, Loin, that I know you understang.....Intent.....

George Bush has never shown any intent that alarms me. Please show me any example OF INTENT on the part of Bush that should alarm me, Loin.

Speeches, writings, previous behavior in authority positions.

Show me malfescence, Loin and I will agree with you that Bush's actions on FISA are like Hitler's behavior in the 1930's.....

Intent must be discussed here because of the analogy to Hitler. Hitler was clear. He had an ideology of self-worship and gnostic pathology that brought him to the conclusion that he, and he alone was destined to rule some kind of empire....

His IDEOLOGY pursuaded him to do all sorts of things deemed moral in his mind to achieve the goal he believed was destined to him.

His early speeches were clear on this....

His writings were clear....His intent was solid.

George Bush....I read speeches about "the freedom and safety of the American people," about "freedom of thought and religion," about "fulfilling his oath."

No personal power schema.....No ploy that he and he alone can solve, for all time, the threats he perceives.....

You radicals are funny....Just like Olbermann, you think an analogy to Hitler is appropriate, or even logical? SHOW ME INTENT!

When Bush follows the LAW of our nation and gives up power to Obama, HRC or McCain next January, your tremulous fear will look silly.....Bush is not Hitler and the telecoms who are helping our brave and noble fellow citizens monitor terrorist communications are patriotic and should not fear some slip+fall lawyers bringing suits against them.....period.

Your fear mongering and hatred of The United States and your fellow citizens is pathologic to the point of believing an analogy so illogical and unfounded as to be humorous....SHOW ME EVIDENCE.....RATIONAL EVIDENCE OF INTENT, Loin.....come on now....do it....Bush=Hitler?.....Come on now....do it.

You can't....yu only follow some irrational gut feelings that are more faith based than the faith-healer in the tent....Shame on you.

SLOB, show me some real proportionality between GWB's requirements for a FISA bill he can sign and any comparable actions by Hitler.

Show me any practical application by GWB that is comparable to Hitler's uses of authority.

Months ago you and I went round and round and you finally agreed with this statement, paraphrased, by me "that anyone who analogizes our judicial system to Hitler and Stalin can obviously have no concept of what those systems were and did."

    Grammie

You are correct about one thing, though, my craving for fascism grows every day and even The Twin Towers of Evil (GWB and Cheney) can't keep me satiated.

BTW, I saw a great deal on a life size portrait of Stalin and I thought of you instantly. Give me a holler if you don't already have one for your shrine.
